A Wonderful Experience

The employees there are so kind and were really helpful when helping me pick out my dress. They asked me what I liked and picked out dresses that fit my taste. The dress I ended up choosing was a dress recommended by the stylist, and I love it! The dress had missing sleeves but they helped find them lol. I definitely think you should check this place out, and the woman that helped me is named Tai! :)

Great service and selection!

Absolutely loved looking for my wedding dress here! The consultants were kind, knowledgeable and professional. They made the process fun! Although I personally did not find my dress here, I would recommend Seattle/Tacoma/Puyallup brides check it out, they have a great selection!

Loved every minute

I didn’t want to go to David’s bridal because I knew it was only Going to be plain and not right for my size. This was the first shop I went to and o found my wedding dress. It was absolutely perfect and will always treasure my dress. They added beautiful little touches that I won’t forget. Beyond wonderful experience.

One in a million

Shout out to the most amazing Something Blue Bridal Boutique! The experience I had trying on dresses was wonderful. Tia was so helpful and the styles and sizes of the dresses really made me feel like a bride-to-be.
Tia was also attentive and friendly to my family who was there with me. The whole experience was lovely. Being “presented” completely dressed, in a beautiful, chic room, made a lot of difference.
I had heard over and over again that I would just “know”. Well, I didn’t. I was overwhelmed with how special each dress and experience was.
There was no pushiness at all to make a decision. Mind you, this was my first time EVER trying on dresses. And I was nervous and probably more than a little defensive because I was convinced that I would not LOVE any of the dresses. That I would never look like the models on my Pinterest board.
After taking the day to contemplate and reviewing the photos my mom and sister had taken, I had found THE DRESS. It was stunning. The more I looked at it and reflected on how I felt in it, the more I just KNEW.
Tomorrow I go for my fitting. I am so excited. I didn’t think I would get to experience this joy. Because #plussize and #weddingdresses2021 seem to be diametrically opposed. Boy, was I wrong.
Never once was I made to feel less than because of my size when trying on my dresses. And Tia never dismissed my concerns but, instead, offered helpful suggestions to cover any areas that I was wanting to diminish, while helping to completely accent all of the parts of me that are FABULOUS.

Stunning Dresses

Something Blue was the forth store we visited in search of my dress. The atmosphere and staff were great and my family and I felt so comfortable here. After trying on 20 dresses I put the one on and I cried, twice. It was the perfect dress and my mom literally jumped for joy at the reasonable price. Would always recommend this boutique, their selection is endless and their prices are reasonable.

Best Bridal Boutique!

Something Blue Bridal Boutique is amazing! I visited several other boutiques during my dress search and none compared to Something Blue. I visited twice before making my final decision and received excellent service both times. There wasn't any pressure to buy something I wasn't sure of and I liked that I was able to look at the inventory myself, rather than having the consultant pull looks. Monica is the best! She was so helpful in choosing dresses she thought I would like, to make sure I was able to try every possible option, and remembered what I was looking for when I returned for my second visit, which ended up being the dress I fell in love with. The boutique is super cute and the setting is intimate, perfect for coming in with your bridal party for a personal experience. Best bridal boutique by far, highly recommend!

Best Boutique Ever

I love the fact that this boutique took my measurements, and ordered the dress by them. It save me money on potential alternations from other places. Also, my dress fit me perfect! The price was so good- for such a beautiful dress, I paid less than what other places would charge. I'm so happy I went to "Something Blue".

I went along with a friend who is also engaged for her bridal appointment. We had a great time at her fitting, the staff were kind, as were the selection of dresses! I loved my experience with Something Blue. I did not buy on my first visit and was not pressured at all. When I came back for a second time they were so patient as I tried on one dress more than once and was so undecided. Without feeling pressured or rushed, I ended up selecting a gown that was not at all what I thought I wanted and couldn't be happier.

I had the designer in mind that I wanted and Something Blue carried that designer and had great reviews so I scheduled an appointment with them. I tried on several dresses and fell in love with my wedding dress instantly. Everything was a breeze at Something Blue, ordering my dress, and my bridesmaids dresses was a pleasant experience and they all came in quickly without any hiccups. All the ladies working in the boutique were very friendly and attentive.

What first brought me here was the closeness to my own house. However I came back to try on dresses because of the quality of the customer service and the dresses that they have. Each and every single dress here was absolutely gorgeous and the individuals that are there to help take care to ensure you stay within your budget--no falling in love with something you can't afford and breaking your heart (or your bank.) Even after I bought my dress we stayed in touch, I had a shout out on facebook for my wedding and received a card in the mail as well! I would definitely bring my own sister here or my best friend once they get engaged. While they are booked out quite a bit for alterations, they have a network of very professional seamstresses that they trust, making the final fitting more flexible.

This was the second of three stores that I shopped at and the one where I ultimately chose my dress. Everyone I had contact with either on the phone, through email, or in person was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere while shopping and trying on dresses was friendly and laid back. There was no pressure and she even let us take a few photos of the dress I chose. They have an excellent selection of dresses and no problem getting me what I want in a short amount of time.

I can not express how happy I was with the service from Debra, whom I think is the shop owner. She fit me in on a walk in appointment and was so amazingly helpful. So far I have had 6 bridal dress fittings, this one being my fourth and best one. I am a very indecisive person, but I know when service is above and beyond.

As a plus size bride (bridal size 22-24), it has been such heartache finding dresses or even service that would cater to me. Something Blue made me feel beautiful. While she does have some plus sized or extended sized dresses, the one I fell in love with was so not my size! She made it work though, she made me fall in love with the bridal experience.

I know it can be disheartening to some of us, but I urge you to keep trying! You will find it, and hopefully you find it at this bridal boutique!

Something Blue Boutique was my lifesaver. I live in Denver and was having a very hard time finding a dress. I found the Augusta Jones dress I wanted online and was thrilled to learn that Something Blue carried this line. I went there over the Thanksgiving holiday and worked with Debra and Lindsey. Both of them were extremely patient and kind to me, my mother, and my sister. I finally found my dress and ended up purchasing the sample. When my seamstress in Denver looked at the dress, she said it was in amazing condition for a sample and that the store must really pride themselves on taking good care of their gowns. I am so glad I found Something Blue Boutique - it is a little off the beaten path but is a complete gem.

These ladies made my dress buying experience the most painless ever. I went to David's Bridal first, HUGE MISTAKE, I am a busty lady, they had nothing that fit. These ladies had no fear of working with me and my size. Plus the dress I found was PERFECT!!! Even my new husband loved it, I felt beautiful for the first time in my life. I had the best experience working with the gals at Something Blue! I had previously visited a handful of other boutiques in the Puget Sound area, and received VERY poor customer service. When I went to Something Blue, the staff was very helpful, attentive, and supportive. The boutique was clean and organized. The dresses were fairly inexpensive and I love that they were able to do alterations in-house with a quick turn around. The staff made me feel very comfortable and were not pushy or forcing a sale on me which I really liked.

Debra was amazing. This was my second store dress shopping and after I went there I had no need to go any farther. I had such a wonderful experience with Danielle, she was so helpful and so sweet. I really enjoyed working with her on finding my perfect dress. She made the experience so exciting, showed me how every dress would look with different veils and different hair styles. She just made me feel so comfortable and made my mom and bridesmaid feel comfortable as well. I was not rushed to pick a dress, I felt like I could take my time and really find the one I like. Something Blue is the most wonderful bridal salon. I would highly recommend it to any bride-to-be.

I got engaged while living in New York City. I moved to Seattle shortly after and started planning a wedding that would take place in Austin, Texas. In the process, I visited twelve different bridal gown shops in and around all three cities and San Antonio. Most of my bridal party, friends and family live in Texas or on the East Coast, so I was generally on my own in the search for the right gown.

I discovered Something Blue while searching for stores on the Amy Kuschel Web site. Amy Kuschel designs extraordinary and beautifully constructed gowns that are each made in San Francisco and, therefore, available in a select number of carefully chosen bridal salons. I was thrilled to discover one of them - Something Blue - in my area. I didn't want an ordinary gown - or even an ordinary experience selecting and buying my gown - and so I am truly grateful that I found Something Blue and Kim.

Kim Bashor, the owner, is by far one of the most delightful people I had the pleasure of collaborating with as I was planning my wedding. She is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, trustworthy and discerning. She provided helpful guidance and treated me with such care and warmth - which was so meaningful to me since I was on my own.

Something Blue is a charming place to spend an afternoon. Kim has clearly carefully chosen her designers and accessories. She has a remarkable variety of gowns (I would know since I'm pretty sure I tried them ALL on). They ranged from gowns with elaborate lace, lovely beading or crinolines to the very simple and chic. Despite the variety, Kim - unlike so many other owners - has avoided filling her shop with predictable or poorly made dresses.

Kim also has a lovely collection of fun accessories - wraps, beaded belts, shoes, jewelry. I bought all kinds of fun stuff from her store, including three beautiful handmade garters - one for me and for two for bride-to-be friends.

I chose a perfect, fabulous Amy Kuschel dress. All these months after my wedding I still get compliments about my gown. It was expertly tailored by Judy, Kim's terrific seamstress (even my experienced wedding coordinator, tasked with attaching all the loops and buttons for my double French bustle, said that she had never seen a prettier bustle construction) and then carefully and lovingly packed and shipped to Texas, where it arrived in plenty of time.

Kim made what could be a daunting and stressful experience - selecting and preparing my wedding gown - so easy and so fun. Even my fiance, who would go for runs around charming La Conner during my appointments, was utterly impressed by her.

Something Blue is a rare find. I couldn't imagine buying my wedding gown anywhere else.

Kim's shop is so darling and Kim is wonderful! My best friend and I both bought our brdiesmaid dresses at SB and had a blast going to shop and trying on 30 dresses! Kim has a great selection and really understands making the experience special for a bride and her party. She also has an amazing assortment of gorgeous gowns and beautiful hand crafted accessories. Worth the drive from Seattle and have lunch at Seeds downstairs.

Kim is THE BEST! She dressed both me - in my beautiful Amy Kutchell wedding dress, and my mother in this amazing Trousseau long black gown. She is a sweetheart, and her services is exceptional. Look no further, Kim exclusively carries three designers that no one else in WA - (or for that matter most of the country) has. I think Amy Kutchell is only available in 7 other states... Both me and my best friend had the best experience with Kim - seriously, she's a doll and her dresses are beautiful!

I am so glad I made the drive up to La Conner to visit Something Blue. I initially made the journey simply because I was interested in an Amy Kuschel dress, but now I can't imagine having got my dress anywhere else. Kim basically let me have the whole shop to myself on a week day. She gave great advice and was extremely patient. She sends little e-mail updates to let you know when your order has been placed with the manufacturer, dress has shipped, dress has arrived etc. I would definitely recommend this shop to any bride-to-be. It was worth the extra mileage on my car!

I would highly recommend Something Blue Boutique to anyone looking for a wedding dress in the Seattle area. It was a bit a drive to get up there, but it was totally worth it. I moved to Seattle just after getting engaged and had to go shopping for my dress alone. I couldnt imagine a better place to go! Kim took so much time with me (several hours!) and was able to fill in for my sister/friends by providing me real advice on the different dresses (I think she had me try on just about every dress in there). The personal attention you get definitely makes up for the driving distance. You never feel like you are just part of an assembly line like you can at the larger stores. Plus I think the dresses she has are gorgeous. All in all, it was just a wonderful experience. Kim really made me feel like I was working with a family member she was someone who truly cared about my wedding day and making sure I looked my best! My dress was perfect, fit like a glove and I truly felt beautiful all day long! I couldnt have asked for a better experience.

I visited Something Blue Bridal Boutique by accident, when I misremembered the name of another wedding dress shop. It worked out in my favor though, because when I called to schedule an appointment I found out they were having a sample sale that weekend.
So that weekend my girls and I hiked over and tried on dresses in a very fun flurry. I ended up ordering a dress in my size instead of buying the sample, but still saved 15% which was awesome. I picked up the dress three months later without any problems and loved it on my wedding day.
The staff was very friendly and nice and a great help with picking veils to try and clipping me into dresses.
Sample sales aren't inherently calm events, but I had a great experience from Something Blue nonetheless.

I found my perfect dress at Something Blue! The staff was friendly and very helpful. There was a great selection of dresses at a decent price. They were all so beautiful and not so cookie cutter like at some other dress shops. The shop is adorable! They even steamed my dress for me the week of the wedding to make sure it was perfect. The only thing I would recommend is to make an appointment as apposed to walking in as their daily hours aren't very long. I would recommend this shop to any friend!

Something for everyone!!

SW was my first stop for a wedding dress! My consultant Karen was SO helpful, and put me in so many beautiful dresses. I found the one at the first appointment, but figured I should look at a couple other shops just to make sure. After visiting other stores, I was blown away by how big of a selection SW has compared to others. Not only do they have lots of dresses, but they have all different kinds and shapes for any price range - there is truly something for everyone at SW!! I am absolutely in love with my dress and would highly recommend SW to any bride to be looking for a beautiful gown and a FUN appointment!!

After going to several wedding shops, I found a dress here and believe this bridal boutique offers great gowns for the price. Yes, they're not inexpensive, but given the quality of the design and materials, etc., it's a rather good deal. They are professional and courteous and I found them to be flexible. I was able to go in on weekends. Also, it helps that the owner clearly loves what she does and knows her gowns well!

I got my bridesmaids dresses from Something Blue. Kim Bashor is incredibly knowledgeable about dress styles and fit. She is totally willing to work with you to get the perfect fit and color. She provides great customer service - if you make an appointment, you get to have the whole shop to yourself. She also sells really cute accessories, shoes and other wedding accessories. If you want your bridesmaids to look great in unique dresses, Something Blue is for you!

Working with Lauren and the rest of the Something Blue staff was a high point in my wedding planning process. They were so responsive, attentive to me and my wishes, and so easy/fun to work with. From the first moment it felt like a much more personal and friendly experience from other boutiques I’d visited. Go and see them, you won’t regret it!

Something blue is a great, quiet, boutique that ensures you get a VIP experience. My wife had her appointment at the boutique and she was the only bride scheduled, which allowed her free reign of the store. She found her dress there promptly and the staff was very helpful. Overall, my wife and I would recommend this boutique to any bride.

I found the absolutely perfect wedding dress here! They have lots of beautiful wedding dresses here for reasonable prices.
They also did alterations as well, which was super convenient.

It was a great experiance at somethingblue, I had no need to look any further, Kim has the highest quality dresses that are just amazing! My dress was more beautiful than I had thought it could be. It was expensive but stunning!

Cute shop - I found it too expensive though. I think you could find wedding wear at any similar shop, but the staff was truly a delight to work with.

I was able to find a dress I liked right away, however I had a few problems. While the owner was getting my measurements she told me I should try to lose weight in my belly because my dress would fit better. Anyways, I waited about 6 months for my dress to come in. When it was time for my first fitting, the dress didn't fit at all...not even close. At first the owner and seamstress were trying to ask me if I gained weight. I would have had to gain about 40-50 lbs to leave a 3 inch gap in the back on my dress. Then they remeasured me and saw that I was the same measurements as 6 months ago. To the store owner's defense she did try to fix the situation and called the designer's office. They agreed to make me a new dress from scratch. I found out that they made a dress size 10, not a 16. I actually had to pay 5% extra to get the size I needed and they screwed it up. I was less than 4 weeks away from my wedding and didn't have a dress. When the new dress came in, the store owner decided to tell me that the reason the designer messed up the first dress was because they "had never made a dress this big before. They had to make a whole new template for a size 16." I was really offended because it's not like there has never been another bride larger than me! I'm 5'11", weigh 175 lbs and wear a size 12 pant. If you saw me, you wouldn't consider me fat, I'm just a bigger girl. The new dress fit a bit snug as well and while they were zipping it up on me, they told me to push in from the sides because they "didn't want to blow the zipper out of it." Mind you that this is a $2,000 dress and I'm expecting it to hold up for a few hours...geeze. Now the store owner and seamstress is wondering why it's still so tight. She checks the measurements she submitted and realized that she sent my sister's measurements that she gathered when we were looking at bridesmaid dresses.

When I had my second fitting, we were trying to get everything just right. My dress have 3 gentle pleats that skimmed across the front of the dress from the side. One of the pleats was almost none existent, like it was being pushed out, but I didn't even notice and to be honest I didn't care because it looked gorgeous. Sure enough, the seamstress looks and the pleat and says out loud, "this pleat is losing its shape because... *smirk*...let's just say because." This was another comment about my size. At that point I'm thinking "unbelievable!" I'm supposed to get married in 2 weeks and these people are putting me down. Every woman wants to look good for her wedding. Just because I don't fit into a typical size 10, doesn't mean I need to change. It means they need to fit the dang dress to me!

There was also the issue of scheduling appointments. They don't let you come in on the weekends unless it's absolutely necessary. I had to drive 1 hour each way to get to this shop and I had to come in too many times to count. I was offered no discount after all the trouble that happened with my dress. Then to top it all off, on my wedding day about 3 hours into it, the jewels on the side of my dress start falling off due to unraveling thread. The seamstress had to remove these when she was altering it and then had sewn them back on.

I'll let you guys make your own evaluations on whether most of the blame is on the shop owner or the Amy Kuschel designer, but don't let people tell you you have to be a twig to get a dress to properly fit you. I regret not sticking up for myself and telling them that their comments were rude.

What really mattered in the end was that I had the best time of my life at my wedding. I didn't really care about anything except my husband and I.

Be Careful Going There

They ordered a dress that was too large in every measurement so the tailor had to completely take my dress apart and make every aspect of it smaller. It was disappointing because that made the alterations WAY more expensive than if I had gotten a dress that was the correct size for at least one of the measurements. Other than that, I had a good experience and they were great with helping me figure out what style of dress I wanted.

My daughter and I went to Something Blue to find her wedding dress. I will say the staff was friendly and really were professional in helping her select her dress. After the dress we had picked came in, we went to see how it fit. The consultant shared the dress was perfect and no alterations needed even when I asked about the waist band being low and should be empire waist. I felt they had dealt with wedding dresses many times so we accepted the response of a "perfect" fit.
With 2 weeks before the wedding we tried on the dress one more time since my daughter had lost some weight. After seeing it on I felt it just didn't seem right. Looking for a qualified person to give me feedback I tried Something Blue but they were closed that day so I found one in Gig Harbor.
Much to my surprise we learned that the dress did not fit my daughter correctly that it was for a regular torso not a petite torso, which I had mentioned when discussing the empire band with Something Blue. The seamstress stated the dress needed to be re-done on the top to create the petite torso. She also stated it had nothing to do with weight loss. I felt this issue should be something a bridal shop shold be knowledgeable about. This mis-fit has caused me $700.00 to fix.
I did talk with the owner of Something Blue and she was very sorry and was going to talk with her staff about spending more time consulting brides with dresses and/or alterations.
I was not offered a partial payment or any on the alteration costs that we now occurred but I wanted to make sure that no one ever goes through this. It was not a happy moment these last 2 weeks before the wedding.

The first time I went here it was for my bridesmaids to try on dress. The girl that was helping us really nice and helpful. Then a couple months later I went to try on my dress. The girl that was suppose to helping must have something better to do. I told her I needed help getting into the dress and she told me to put it over my head. She didn't help me at all. She then tried to tell my friend that I was 20 which after I tried on a 20 it was too big. I have hips and a butt so their dresses just wasn't shaped for my size. She the tried to tell me that most people if couldn't fit the dresses would hold them up and just order them without trying it on. I found my wedding dress somewhere else. Months after that my bridesmaids went to pick up their dresses. They switched dresses, luckily my bridesmaids lived close to each other so they could trade back. They also wrote my sister's name wrong and I corrected them several times, but they still didn't fix it. After this experience I warn my friends away from here.

If I could give zero stars I would. I was surprisingly greeted by the owners, Laura or Lauren. I told her what I was looking for and my budget. She showed me the area to stay in and disappeared. Poor customer service. The dresses weren’t in garmet bags and the details of the dress were falling off and the fabric was very disorderly from what look like poor upkeep or handling.

This was honestly a terrible experience for me. I had an appointment but no one was there to help us when we arrived. The selection was poor and the lady who was "helping" me had zero suggestions on how to help me. When I went to try on gowns she hung the dresses up and left me alone. My friend had to help me into and out of each gown. The consultant would pop her head in a few times throughout the entire appointment then leave. I left this bridal salon feeling awful. Would never tell someone to try and find their dress here.
