Truly inclusive for plus size brides!

I highly recommend Something Bleu Bridal. As a plus size bride, I was worried about how I would be treated and what would be available as I looked for my special dress. The wonderful team at Something Bleu made my experience incredibly special. I found the perfect gown (they actually have plus size samples in the store!) and felt beautiful. Highly Recommend!

Brandi and her team were a delight to work with from the beginning. Their shop is beautiful and they have a great variety of bridal dresses. Brandi was very accommodating when it came to scheduling appointments to try on my dress again, even after the alteration appts. She always had a smile on her face and was very helpful during my accessory appt when deciding on a veil as well. I couldn’t have been happier with how my dress and veil turned out and how they made me feel so beautiful on my special day.

The team at Something Bleu is very accommodating, thoughtful, and knowledgeable, and I highly recommend them to any future bride looking for their dream dress!

Stunning Shop with Stunning Results

I really enjoyed my shopping experience at Something Bleu. And I have to give them the credit for being the ones to pick out my dress! I went in with an idea that completely didn't pan out, especially when the stylist brought in a dress I wouldn't have even considered. But thankfully they know what they are doing, they know how to hype up a bride, and they know how to style bridal looks and procure stunning designer lines. I'm so obsessed with my dress and how it was styled, but not only that, the quality of the dress, the designer, and the shop itself really blew me away! I would recommend this shop to anyone, truly anyone!!!

Great Find

I happened to get a last minute appointment after going to another dress shop and finding a couple potential dresses but nothing that made me feel like a bride. Something Bleu went around and chose dresses for me that I honestly would never have even considered. One of those dresses is the one I fell in love with. I would say they definitely know a little something about dressing brides. After that they walked me through all the next steps, referred me to an alteration person and stored the dress until I was ready to pick it up.

Great Experience!

I went dress shopping about a year before my wedding and the experience with Something Bleu was fantastic! It was the first place I went shopping and it started everything off on the right foot. I never felt pressured and I felt comfortable speaking my mind about likes and dislikes. They also had a great stock that fits any wants and needs. I went back a couple more times before making a final decision and the staff was welcoming each time. Once the dress came in, the seamstress they work with is also amazing. Not only did she make my dress fit my body perfectly, she helped create sleeves and added additional appliqué to truly make the dress my own. I highly recommend this shop. Loved Something Bleu!

I had the best experience at Something Bleu! I got engaged in August 2020 and had a great experience at the shop, working with Marissa to find the dress and then working with many of the employees afterwards. I appreciated that Marissa listened to what I wanted and didn’t pressure me into buying a dress. Something Bleu was very accommodating when I fell in love with a Lea-Ann Belter dress online that was not sold in the store. They spoke with the designer and I was able to try on the dress a few weeks later and fell in love with it. They had a beautiful matching veil as well. After I bought the dress, the store was great to work with in storing the dress, allowing me to try it on upon arrival, and arranging alterations. I cannot recommend them enough!

I LOVED this shop! No pressure and so helpful!

Something Bleu Bridal was AMAZING!
I had gone to a different shop and the salesperson was trying to pressure me into buying a dress I wasn't in love with.
NOT at Something Bleu! The salesperson was so helpful, and made me feel so comfortable. She didn't pressure me at all and even told me it's ok to sleep on it.
I ended up with an original silk dress that I ADORE! My dress was such a hit, and I got so many compliments. I also purchased my veil from them.
But the service didn't stop at the point of sale. They go above and beyond! They connected me with a seamstress who did my alterations right at Something Bleu, which was so convenient.
And after the alterations were done the shop pressed and cleaned my dress and veil and set up a time just before my wedding for me to come pick it up--so it didn't end up all wrinkled shoved in a closet at my house.
They also connected me with a cleaning service after the wedding and gave me a discount on cleaning.
I can't say enough what a wonderful shop this is! Amazing team with great energy. And even the building is gorgeous and sunny. A dream!

A Great Experience!

I had a wonderful experience at Something Bleu from the first appointment to the day of pick up. The day I chose my dress, Amanda was so patient, attentive, and encouraging. I left there confident in my decision and excited for my big day. They put me in touch with a fantastic seamstress, stored my dress and veil, pressed and steamed them for the big day, and checked in regularly. Something Bleu is warm, welcoming, and the perfect spot to find your once-in-a-lifetime gown - highly recommend!

I had flown back into town for a weekend just to try on dresses to find the style I liked and the price ranges that follow. Something Bleu was the third or fourth store I had tried within a weekend and my experience alone blew any other contender out of the water. While I may be biased because Saratoga is one of my favorite places in the country, the level of professionalism and passion felt by the staff to help others find their "one" just adds to it. The staff was kind and welcoming and made me feel the most comfortable I have ever been dress shopping in my life. Their stock is decent and the seamstress Irena and her sister are the absolute best! Absolutely recommend this place and intend on taking my younger sisters there one day for their dresses!

Wedding 9/25/21

Something Bleu was amazing to work with! They have such a unique selection of dresses. I went in knowing I wanted to look timeless, but also feel like I was in Pride & Prejudice. The girls at Something Bleu immediately took me out on the floor and showed me 5 dresses that fit that exact description. I ended up purchasing the Harper gown from Madi Lane Designs through them at my very first appointment. They were amazing to work with through COVID, and all my fittings. I even called a few times with questions regarding undergarments, etc. and they were always happy to help walk me through my dress and what was needed for that. On my wedding day, I received SO MANY compliments, and I was so happy that my gown was something that would stand out in everyone's memories

Stunning shoes

I recently had the pleasure of photographing Something Bleu's exquisite bridal shoes. The details are amazing, from subtle design elements to stunning iridescent hues. I knew they were the most gorgeous shoes I have ever photographed, and then as if all the other details weren't enough, there is a beautiful blue jewel on the sole. You NEED these shoes on your wedding day!

Wonderful dress experience

These ladies are the best. Trying on dresses was a wonderful experience- so relaxed and no pressure. They have a beautiful selection of dresses. The moment I put my dress on I knew it was the one. I always felt taken care of during my whole selection process (I went back in to try it on again to make sure it was the one-and it was!) I purchased a veil as well and I love it. They were extremely accommodating with all the changes due to being a covid bride.
I worked with Irena as my seamstress and she was incredible..I loved her attention to detail and her honesty. My dress fit like a glove and I couldn’t be happier.
Overall, wonderful experience and I highly suggest something bleu to anyone looking for their dream dress!!

Incredible Experience

Somethingbleu was the most incredible wedding dress experience; it was intimate and genuine and so special. I was hunting for a new dress with the changes made to my wedding, as a result of the pandemic and Marissa was patient and understanding with my mixed emotions. The candor and kindness they showed me helped me find the right dress and I was OBSESSED with it. They FaceTimed my mom the second time I went back and helped me say YES! The staff was so wonderful!

The Something Bleu staff was so wonderful during my whole dress/accessories/shoes process! They were professional and caring, and also made me feel so comfortable during a process that can be very stressful. I didn't feel rushed at all during the appointments, and I found a dress in just two visits, the process so was easy.

A Perfect Wedding Dress Experience!

All of the ladies at Something Bleu are simply amazing! I made an appointment to go dress shopping not thinking I would find anything and ended up purchasing the 2nd dress I tried on. Terry is so great at what she does and makes everyone feel so comfortable. Kathryn and Marissa were wonderful and made scheduling (and rescheduling due to COVID) a breeze. Further, their seamstress, Beth, is so talented and easy to work with. The shop itself is also gorgeous, you won't regret scheduling an appointment!

Better than I could have Imagined

Something Bleu made my dress shopping experience an absolute dream in every single way. I've been putting off writing this review because I wanted to find the perfect words to do it justice. I visited Something Bleu with my mom and aunt after a full day of dress shopping. When we arrived, we were greeted with SUCH kindness and calmness by Marissa, who went on to become my very favorite person in the whole wedding planning process. We removed our shoes and sat down for a few questions about style and budget, and then we both picked out a few dresses for me to try on. The dressing room was more like a romantic dream closet full of beautiful accessories and feminine details. Marissa helped me step into and out of each dress and made me feel instantly at ease; I had no time to feel nervous or anxious about the sizes or looking a certain way because I was having so much fun. The logistics once I found The Dress were so easy - my alterations were done in the same building by a wonderful woman Marissa recommended, and they hold the dress until you need it right before your wedding. They also make it really easy to come try it on again if you want to. I can't stress enough how lovely this whole process was - it felt like entering a spa but for wedding dress shopping, where these ultra cool women's whole focus is for you to be at ease and to have fun trying on beautiful gowns. Thank you so much, Marissa and Kathryn, for making this experience so delightful!

Such A Great Experience

Something Bleu was fantastic! I found my dream dress online and discovered it was not typically carried in stores, and particularly was not carried in stores near me in Rochester. I called Something Bleu and told them the designer and style I wanted and they special ordered it to come in for me to try. I brought my mom, aunt, two cousins, and niece with me to try on the dress and they were so accommodating to all of us. The whole appointment i felt that I was the only customer in the store (which was not true) which speaks to the level of service they provide. The space is beautiful and truly made me excited to be a bride. Full disclosure, I didn’t go anywhere else...because I didn’t need to. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience and dress!

I'm so very grateful for the wonderful experience of finding my wedding gown at Something Bleu! The staff was very warm and friendly, and remained respectful of my budget. The seamstress whom they recommended was also lovely and did a fantastic job on my alterations. I would highly recommend looking for a gown with them!

Amazing Experience!!

I got my wedding dress here at Something Bleu for my wedding and I can honestly say it was such a great experience from start to finish! For the initial appointment I went with my mom, FMIL, some family, and a few of my bridesmaids and we were given our very own dressing room! The woman I worked with Terry- was incredible! She made me feel so comfortable and really helped make the process a fun one! I can't recommend this place enough!

Wonderful Dress experience

Over a year before my wedding I scheduled an appointment at Something Bleu. The salon was adorable and intimate. We browsed through the dresses according to the thoughts I'd had previously and the pictures I'd brought. Right before we walked into the dressing room a particular dress caught my eye. Even though it wasn't like anything I'd thought I'd like, she grabbed it and one of the other dresses in that collection. That dress, that first one I tried on, the one that I likely wouldn't have tried on if she hadn't seen my eyes drift, was the dress I purchased. At the end of the appointment I was almost 100% positive but wanted to go to other appointments, and they added a quick appointment for me the next day so I could come back if I didn't find a dress I like better. When I came back they let me mess around with the dress and a bouquet and accessories to get a feel for the dress.
On the process of ordering, we ordered larger than strictly necessary, and the salon owner called me a couple weeks later to make sure I was ok with ordering that size up, as many brides fixate on the dress size. I appreciated the thought. Christmas Eve that year, three months after ordering, I got a call that the dress was in. They housed the dress until I started my fittings. The week of the wedding they pressed the dress and got it all ready for the big day. The dress looked fabulous and I greatly appreciate the care they took with it and the experience I had getting it there.

Truly Wonderful Experience

I got my wedding dress here at Something Bleu for my wedding and I can honestly say it was such a great experience from start to finish! For the initial appointment I went wit my mom and moh and we were given our own dressing room which was very spacious! It was very private and made the whole process that much more special. The Complete Bridal Experience

My experience at Something Bleu was absolutely incredible. The privacy of the rooms, ability to browse at your leisure, unique brands, and romantic collections really made the experience feel like something out of a fairytale. The customer service from start to finish made me feel as if I was their only customer and their genuine enthusiasm for my wedding was the cherry on top. Wonderful Dress Shopping Experience

I had the most magical dress shopping experience at Something Bleu Bridal. We were given a beautiful dressing room with a window looking out at Saratoga Springs skyline. It felt like we had the whole shop to ourselves as they assisted me in pulling various dresses based on my feedback. They had a large selection of dresses to choose from that were reasonably prices. When I came back for their accessory trunk show I was able to try on my dress and veil to see how they looked with different pieces of jewelry, and one of the women who works there took a beautiful picture of my mom and I that I will cherish for years to come. I would highly recommend that anyone looking for a wedding dress go to Something Bleu Bridal!

Perfect Dress & Veil Shopping Experience

Buying a wedding dress and veil can be a nerve-wracking experience, but not at Something Bleu. After visiting three other shops in the Hudson Valley area, my mom and I walked into Something Bleu and immediately felt at ease and excited for our day. Teri, who worked with us throughout our appointment, is kind, generous with her time and perspective, and knowledgeable about fit, style, and fabric. I ended up purchasing the first dress that I tried on in the store (after trying about 15 more), and have zero regrets about getting my Lea Ann Belter gown at Something Bleu. All of the subsequent appointments (seeing the dress, fittings, etc) were just as seamless and exciting. When I returned for one fitting, the salon was hosting an accessory trunk show, and I was so excited to find the perfect earrings and veil to go with my gown. Something Bleu really is the whole package. Denise and her team know how to make their clients feel at home. I wish I could do it all again!

Enchanting

Romance is always in the air at Something Bleu. It's the most warm and enchanting bridal salon with a gorgeous selection of gowns. From my first appointment where I found my dream dress to picking out accessories, Denise, Tess, Teri and Emily went above and beyond to be so welcoming, helpful, patient and lovely at every turn. I couldn't have asked for a more special wedding dress shopping experience and can't recommend Something Bleu highly enough.

Something Bleu was my first (and last) bridal dress appointment. I went in with no expectations and was pleasantly surprised. Emily took great care of me and my mom, and helped me to find dresses within my budget. She encouraged me to try on dresses I would not have picked myself, and they looked great. I had my own room for dressing, with a larger show room with large mirror and pedestal. There really is no pressure from the associates to buy a dress. Emily seemed to genuinely want me to just enjoy my experience. I enjoyed the store so much, that when I found my dream dress in another store, I chose not to buy it there, but instead to call up Something Bleu to see if they had the same dress. I returned to Something Bleu because I knew they would take good care of me, and they did. I tried on the dress in their accessory room, which is flooded with natural light, and I had my “this is the one” moment. They ordered the dress in my size, set me up with an excellent seamstress (Irene), and emailed me when the dress was ready. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend the store to anyone shopping for a wedding gown.

Something Bleu Bridal is the best place to get your dress. From the start you will feel so wonderful just from interacting with Terri and Denise - they are incredible! I went back a couple times to ensure that “my dress” was the right one for me and Terri was amazing each time I went back. She is the best person you can work with when getting a dress because she listens to what you want and is very receptive to your comments and expressions. The dress we decided upon is timeless and elegant and I adore it. In addition to getting the dress they also had amazing accessories that helped to complete my overall look for the wedding. They were very professional and communicated about any dress or accessory updates. I highly recommend you work with Something Bleu Bridal - it will make your wedding experience even more magical.

The day after we got engaged, we stumbled upon Something Bleu Bridal, and it was the beginning of one of the most amazing experiences of our wedding. Because my wife had lost her mother, I not only helped pick out her dress but also went to every dress fitting. Denise and her staff were exceptional in every way, every interaction. But what stole the show was her dress. We thought we knew what we wanted and after trying on a couple of dresses they made a suggestion to try a different style. I could hear my then fiancee tearing up from behind the curtain and proclaiming "this is the one." It was not only the most perfect dress for her, but the theme and style of the wedding then revolved around it. After our wedding we were at the hotel bar when the bridal party from a different wedding came in. One of the bridesmaids came over and told my wife that she was the most beautiful bride she had ever seen. We are forever grateful to Denise and her staff for helping give us a magical wedding.

Denise and her staff were amazing with helping me to find the perfect dress! Teri was so accommodating to our budget and never once showed me a dress that was over our price point. I am forever grateful that she helped me find my perfect dress! They even stayed open late for us to give me time to decide and made sure that it was a special moment for me, my mom, grandmother and sister who were there with me. Every single time I went back for fittings or to buy accessories, they made me feel so special. They are so sweet and really take the time to get to know their brides. I ended up buying my dress, veil, earrings and headpiece there. I highly recommend Something Bleu!

I didn't get my dress here as the prices were a bit out of my budget, but I did purchase my earrings and my veil at the new accessory boutique in Something Bleu. It is a beautifully decorated room full of unique jewelry, belts, veils, and hair pieces. The sales associates were so friendly and helpful. Thank you, Something Bleu!

I cannot express how amazing Something Bleu Bridal is. After shopping for a wedding dress for nearly two months, I finally hit the jackpot at this bridal shop. To start, the space is absolutely amazing and what a bridal shop should look/feel like. The ladies were so friendly and welcoming - they made me feel at home. The selection of dresses were beautiful. They had a wide range of prices, however, they asked me what my budget was and made sure to tell me the price of every dress before adding to the pile of dresses for me to try on. I thought they were extremely considerate, caring and attentive. I ended up going back a week later to say "yes" to the dress, and when I did, they let me sit in my dress and drink champagne with my "I-do crew" which put the whole experience on another level (in a good way!). I highly recommend this bridal shop to any brides-to-be!

The staff at Something Bleu helped me find the perfect dress in my price range! I had a few ideas in mind and they were able to find different dresses that were close to my ideas and one of the first few I tried on was the dress. I had tried on a few after, but kept comparing every dress to the one I chose. It was such a fun and laid-back experience which is exactly what I wanted. I also found my accessories at Something Bleu and they were able to give me great guidance and ideas.

Once I chose my dress, I had made 3 appointments with their seamstress who was flexible and easy to work with. I wound up only needing 2 fittings because the dress required such little alterations, which was great! After my final fitting, I stored my dress at the shop and picked it up a few days before the wedding. It was such a relief to keep it at the store hidden from my husband to be. I highly recommend shopping at Something Bleu for your dress! I could not have been happier with the experience and my dress!

I absolutely looooove my wedding dress that I got from Something Bleu. I knew the second that I put it on that it was my dress. It was also my favorite shop that we visited. They were so accommodating and it is such a beautiful environment. Our consultant was named Terry and she was so helpful and kind. I had an additional piece made by the seamstress Irena - a shrug using lace from my dress that I could wear in the church with my strapless dress, then take off during the reception. That piece received so many compliments! The whole team at Something Bleu was a pleasure to work with. They even helped send my dress to be cleaned and preserved so I can cherish it forever!

Can't give this place enough stars!!! They truly make you feel like a princess with their one on one appointments. I'll never forget the grand mirror I stood in front of before showing my first dress (the ONE dress) to my family and friends. Every trip there was a special moment, and I live about 2 1/2 hours away! It was such a memorable time for my mother and I every time we stopped up there and saw their friendly faces. I always dreamt of the Kleinfeld experience when picking out my wedding dress, but I TRUELY believe this place gives you a 100000000x better experience!! Don't skip this place if you're in the area and looking for a dress. You REALLY won't forget it :)

Like many others, I had a fabulous experience with Something Bleu from start to finish. Before I got engaged, I didn’t know anything about any of the bridal salons in the area. Once I did, I did a lot of searching online (I live in Virginia but planned to get married in NY and wanted to buy my dress there). As soon as I discovered Something Bleu, I knew it was the only salon I cared to visit. At my appointment, Teri quickly became my favorite person (she’ll become yours too). I tried on 8-10 dresses in a stunning changing room with beautiful stained glass windows. I ended up buying the second one I had tried on. Desiree soon became another favorite, as she patiently helped me try on every veil in the salon about 100 times each, and then helped me rush-order additional lace and fabric so that my Virginia-based seamstress could alter a part of the dress that I wanted to be a bit more modest. I would absolutely recommend Something Bleu to anyone. You will be treated like a princess, and don’t have to break the bank in the process. Win-win.

They do everything right! They have exceptional service! I had an appointment with them on a Friday they stayed open 40 mins late for me. I left with out purchasing a dress because I had another appointment the following day. I left that appointment early to go back to something bleu. The other appointment couldn't hold a candle to the amazing customer service something bleu provides. I purchased my dream dress because Denise, Terry and Elizabeth make you feel like you are a princess.

Before going into their show room, I assumed that this shop would be well out of my price range. I could not have been more wrong! I spent less then I expected and got an amazing dress. They have a wide variety of options and are the nicest women to deal with. Allison and Terry really went above and beyond to ensure that I had a dress that I was happy and comfortable with. This is the most beautiful boutique ever. Denise is the sweetest with the best taste in the dresses she carries. She gave me a wonderful deal on a French couture dress I never thought I'd be able to afford in my wildest dreams AND was so flexible in squeezing me in for a fitting and when to pick up my dress due to time constraints and when I was in town. Cannot say enough about this place, but trust me...go there you won't be disappointed. While finding my dress there was absolutely fate and I'm sure that doesn't always happen, make this your first stop for sure. I wish I still lived in the area and it was my first stop, would have saved me tons of time and headache. Or knew how wonderful it was-would have made the four hour drive first!

Don't waste your time with David's Bridal and the like. SBB's prices are pretty much comparable and the experience is night and day. At DB and places like it you feel like you're 1 of 100's of brides, going through an assembly line. There's no privacy, you feel like cattle being herded. At SBB I had personalized attention. An appointment for just my mom and and my sister and I to browse the shop with just our personal attendant, the shop was ours to explore. Beautiful, quality selection, styles up to date with the trends but timeless and classic too. I truly had that I'm a beautiful princess feeling that every bride to be should feel like when looking for THE dress. The staff made me feel special, even though they do this all the time, they honored how much it meant to me and my family. They gave great advice and suggestions but were never felt pushy or out to make a buck. I expected we would have spent much more than we did given the service we received. They were also very sensitive to my body issues. I'd lost a lot of weight and have a lot of excess, hanging skin. They're welcoming to all body shapes and sizes. They didn't make me feel weird and respected my modesty. Very HIGHLY recommend SBB.

There really is no other experience like it! Not only was my day of saying yes to the dress perfect, my sister and two best friends also found their dream dress there. The atmosphere is so personal and you truly can't beat having this adorable boutique to shop around in. It has such a beautiful variety of dresses, accessories, jewelery and extra little add on such as hair pieces, lace sleeves, etc. You have your own room to get dressed in and someone who is working just with you. I can't say enough about how amazing this place is!!

I could not have been happier with my experience at Something Bleu! The staff is warm, welcoming, and very attentive and the atmosphere is elegant, but comfortable. They carry a beautiful selection of dresses in a range of price-points and styles. I found the dress of my dreams and it was well below budget! In addition to stunning dresses, they carry beautiful accessories. Teri found the perfect heirloom-quality veil for my dress, and helped me select a lovely headpiece. The seamstress on-site did a wonderful job with the alterations. Denise and the staff went above and beyond when it came to accommodating me when it came to picking up my dress. I live 3.5 hours away (worth the trip!) and they were able to press my dress on a day that best worked for my travel schedule. I cannot thank Something Bleu enough for giving me the perfect bridal experience!

Something Bleu Bridal is by far the best in town! Between the massive selection of dresses and the attentiveness of all its employees my time there was memorable. It was a feeling unlike any other to have everyone so involved and excited to help me find the perfect dress. Which I'm glad to say I did. They stayed well within my price range. To have their professional opinions while respecting my wants is just something you don't find these days! I highly recommend any bride to start with Something Bleu. When I first started wedding dress shopping, I went to David's Bridal because I thought every other place would be ridiculously expensive. After trying on countless expensive, plain wedding dresses there, we headed over to Something Bleu because a friend had highly recommended it. Terry was the saleswoman helping us with the dresses. She was amazing! She absolutely respected my budget and was able to find many beautiful gowns for me to try on. They take extremely good care of the dresses. To prevent stains and rips, they don't allow shoes and make you wear a make-up mask (just light mesh) when pulling the dress over your head. I loved all of the dresses, but tried on one that I couldn't say no to. I ended up buying it that day!

The environment is very personable, classy, and comfortable. The room is very nice and warm, and they have a comfy couch for your friends/family to sit on next to a giant, antique looking mirror. Only one other customer was there when I went in. I think you need to have an appointment.

As a side note, I bought my dress here in early January. I think many dresses were on sale because they were trying to sell the 2015 dresses so they could move in the Spring 2016 collection. My (GORGEOUS) dress was 75 % off and cost $299. They might have these sales all year long though, not sure. I also bought a long veil and beaded belt. My total for ALL of this, with tax, was just over 700. I am still amazed! :) Highly recommend!

I bought my wedding dress for my January 1st wedding from Something Bleu. I bought my dress off the rack and it fit beautifully. I needed a few adjustments to the dress which they helped set me up with their seamstress and she did a beautiful job! I received compliments all night and still today about my dress. My husband and I got married on Sunday, October 4, 2015 at Saratoga National Golf Course. Something Bleu was the only place I went to try on and purchase a dress from so many positive comments I received from my friends. The girls at the store made the process so relaxing and fun! The dress I bought was the first dress I tried on and it was absolutely amazing! Their shop has so many unique gowns that you won't find at other stores. Also, the seamstress there was a miracle worker and made all the changes to my dress that I asked for! I would highly recommend Something Bleu to any bride!

Where do I even begin about Something Bleu!! I have had such an amazing experience working with them. I got gone to several places prior to even trying them. As soon as I arrived I was warmly greeted. The consultant was absolutely amazing! Not even an hour later I found the dress of my dreams. They service and professionalism is amazing! I cannot speak highly enough of this bridal boutique. From the minute I stepped inside, I knew this was where I would find my dress. The vintage ambiance is calming and beautiful. Ali and her staff are beyond amazing. Something bleu was the first bridal boutique I went to and I found my dress! My mom picked out my dress and I fell in love. My mom passed in November and it hit me hard, Ali got me through the rest of my fittings and always checked up on me. Even though my mom wasn't there Ali made sure her presence was there to the very end. The selection of dresses were breathe taking, and I love that they only cater to one bride at at time and you don't feel rushed. If you want that wow factor , hands down I recommend something Bleu !

I knew that Something Bleu Bridal was going to have the gown that was right for me. As the saying goes ... Your Day, Your Way!!! In my initial conversation with Denise, I shared with her the style of gown and fabrics that I was most attracted to - NO strapless and Lace, Lace, Lace!!!

My first appointment for gown shopping was on February 14th (Yes, Valentines Day!). I was astonished to see so many beautiful gowns and excited to try them on. The last gown I tried on turned out to be My Gown! A Claire Pettibone gown from her Romantique collection. Oh, if only I could attach a photo ...

The price was within my budget and would arrive in plenty of time for my wedding. It's a good thing I had many other wedding items to focus on because I couldn't wait to see my gown again.

When my gown arrived, I scheduled my appointment and brought both my mom and future mother-in-law with me. They both loved my gown as much as I do. I made appointments to meet with the seamstress and had my gown a week before my wedding day.

I had such a wonderful experience working with the staff and would highly recommend Something Bleu Bridal to other brides-to-be.

I am a very picky clothing shopper, so I knew it would take me awhile to find my wedding dress. I looked at many stores and tried on many dresses before deciding on the one I found at Something Bleu, and I am extremely happy with my choice. I really liked that the wonderful ladies at Something Bleu were so friendly and helpful, and that I did not feel pressured to make an immediate decision about purchasing a dress. The seamstress they recommended did excellent work and was very accommodating of my schedule. They have a wide range of prices too, and I was delighted to find a dress within my budget. Definitely check out Something Bleu during your dress hunt, they're very helpful and will give you their full time and attention during your time there.

We bought my daughter's wedding gown here. we made an appointment and we were the only one's in the shop and we received uninterrupted one on one service. The selection of dresses was incredible, and the service was professional and personal and very accommodating. The atmosphere is amazing, the store is in an old world Saratoga Mansion, the shop is actually where the ballroom used to be! Our salesperson knew the history of the house and told us all about it, which really enhanced our experience. highly recommend.

highly recommend making Something Bleu Bridal Salon a priority on your list of Capital District bridal shops. Their collection is beautiful, and appropriate for a variety of budgets. My experience in working with them was nothing short of wonderful! Something Bleu was the first shop I went to - and based on other experiences in the area - I should have stopped there! I was looking for a fairly down to earth, but romantic dress for my Southern VT wedding on a working apple orchard. Teri was incredibly thoughtful in pulling together a collection of dresses that aligned with both my vision for the day and my budget. In fact, my perfect dress was the first one I tried on! When trying to make my final decision, she asked me the perfect question “Which dress would your fiance like best?” No other salon had asked me that! The service experience up until my final fitting and pick-up was great as well!

My mom and I visited Something Bleu for my very first dress appointment, and, to be honest, I had no intention of purchasing a dress, as there were many other places I wanted to visit. I ended up going with the very first one I tried on. We were treated like queens, and even made a handful of new friends. All of my fittings were done at the store, and I was able to pick up the dress the day before my wedding. I am so appreciative of the care and attention I was given- I would recommend Something Bleu to anyone!

Everyone and everything at SBB was fantastic. We spent a healthy amount of time trying on dress after dress! I had a not so wonderful experience trying on dresses in the city, as I felt rushed in each place I went into. However, here the team was 100% dedicated to helping me find the perfect dress and making me feel like every bride should--the most gorgeous woman in the room!

I couldn't have asked for a better place to get my dress! The options were plenty and the quality top notch.

They even smiled and happily let my 1.5 year old niece run around while we tried on dresses.

Highly recommend giving them a call and scheduling an appointment, you will NOT be disappointed.

I am so happy that I decided to get my dress at Something Bleu! I have to admit that when I first walked into the boutique I did not think that I would be able to find a dress that I loved that was in my price range -- but I did! The staff is amazing to work with, the dresses are beautiful, and they have a wide range of prices. To top it off, they set me up with a wonderful seamstress to work with for the alterations -- she was a magician! Throughout the entire process, the staff at Something Bleu was attentive, knowledgeable, and professional.

I found Something Bleu bridal when I was the maid of honor in my friend’s wedding. She had such a positive experience there, that I knew that was where I would go too. I was very happy with my experience at Something Bleu bridal. Terri listened to my input, but also made helpful suggestions and led me to the perfect dress! The staff at Something Bleu was very accommodating, and allowed me to pick up my dress a little early in order to avoid picking up during a big snow storm. Thank you!

My wedding would not have been complete without Something Bleu Bridal! The staff and services were outstanding and I had a true dream wedding dress shopping experience with them. I ended up buying the first dress I tried on (even though I tried on over 20!) and could not have been happier. The staff kept me well informed of when my dress (veil, earrings, hair piece) were ordered and on their way in. I loved the personal attention to detail and how I was treated more like family than a customer. I would recommend this store to ANYONE (even if you live in NYC like myself and travel 4 hours to visit this shop)! Thank you Something Bleu for making my wedding dress dreams come true!

I had heard from some friends how amazing Something Bleu Bridal was and that I had to go for a dress appointment. They were accommodating on how many people I could bring with me and I was the only one in the shop trying on dresses which made it so personal and intimate. I ended up finding my dress the first appointment and the staff was wonderful about helping to add some special touches to it! Something Bleu was great about contacting me as soon as my dress and veil came in and gave a list of seamstresses to call. Fittings were done right at the bridal shop and everytime I was there the staff was welcoming and so friendly. I am so thankful I went there to get my dress, I couldn't have been happier!

I had been looking for THE place to find my dress and Something Bleu nailed it. From the moment I walked in with my mom to try on dresses to the day I picked up my wedding gown, every step was a dream. The service was outstanding and the ladies there know what they're doing. So accommodating and they all really listened to me and were genuinely interested in what I wanted in a gown. I only wish we were getting married again so I could go back!

I had such a wonderful experience at Something Bleu Bridal! Kate and Ally were both so sweet and made me feel welcome as if they were long time friends. The location is absolutely beautiful and SUPER clean. I loved how they had us take our shoes off at the door. Kate was very patient with us and always made me feel very comfortable in the dressing room. The dressing room was very nice and very spacious. Kate allowed me to try on a lot of dresses, and didn't get annoyed when my Mom and Grandmother kept bringing more for me to try on. She allowed me to stay in my favorite dress for over half an hour, she got me different veils and different accessories to try on with it. After I got dressed, she put my favorite gown on a mannequin with the veil and everything to allow us to take a few pictures. I did not end up purchasing my dress here but I would recommend anyone to come shopping here. Thanks for a great shopping experience and helping me in the process of finding "the one"! :)

Something Bleu Bridal was the first salon I went to. I brought only my mom and wasn’t really sure what I was looking for. The first thing I loved was that we were the only people there. Connie explained how the dresses were arranged and what the price ranges were, and then let us look around. She was amazing to work with -- putting me in several shapes to see what I liked and didn’t like, and pulled a few more for me based on my reactions (never outside my budget). We went to a few other salons to see if anything could top my favorite, but neither the salons nor the dresses could come close the experience that we had at Something Bleu. You may have to leave a message when you call with any questions or to make an appointment, but Denise was always great about getting back to me either that day or the next.

My dress came in when expected, and they set me up with my seamstress Beth, who was absolutely amazing. She scheduled my fittings to start 3 months before the wedding so we had plenty of time. Since my dress was organza with diagonal ruching in the front and back, Beth spent almost 45 minutes of the first fitting pinning for the bustle to make sure it would lay just right. The dress had to be taken in a little, and the straps and skirt were shortened a bit. All of the alterations came out beautifully and it fit me like a glove. I got so many compliments from guests wanting to know where I got my dress, and of course I had to tell them about my amazing experience. I highly recommend Something Bleu Bridal. You won’t be disappointed!

What an incredible experience! While shopping for a wedding dress I booked 4 different appointments at various bridal shops, however, once I stepped my bare feet into this salon I knew I had found the right place. You book an appointment at Something Bleu and you are the only bride in the shop. The staff go out of their way to make sure you feel so special. All of the dresses are in incredible condition and they have three price ranges so you can choose a beautiful dress in your budget. I actually fell in love that was under my $1500 budget. The whole experience was such a positive one. I honestly never felt more like royalty than I did at Something Bleu.

From the moment I began my wedding dress research I knew that I did not want the cookie-cutter, get you in & get you out experience -- This is a once in a lifetime experience and I wanted to have a truly special experience where I felt that I was the main focus and not just another bride. Something bleu was just that! First off, the building that Something Bleu is in is just beautiful - not your average strip mall kind of place. I came in with a lower budget for my dress and was immediately explained how the dresses ranged in price along with the different styles. I pretty much knew what I wanted so after trying on 4 dresses, it was back to dress #1. (BRIDAL ADVICE: If you know what you want, don't confuse yourself with trying on more dresses at other shops!) The ladies were happy to show me different options of belts, jewelry & veils. My mother, sister & myself were thrilled with how easy Something Bleu made my wedding dress shopping experience go!

I was set up with Irena as my seamstress and she knows her stuff!! I would trust Irena with my life and a thread & needle. She was so accommodating & since my mother made her own wedding dress Irena would explain what she was thinking with my mother on what needed to be done.

Every single time I stepped into Something Bleu with my mother the ladies always stopped by to see me in my dress and each time they reconfirmed why they were my first choice in a bridal salon. They are also the reason my mother decided to get her dress for my wedding at Something Bleu as well!

I would HIGHLY recommend Something Bleu to all brides & mothers!! In fact, a girlfriends sister went to Something Bleu shortly after my first visit and was over the moon with her experience as well. There are so many decisions to make throughout the wedding planning process, it is nice to be taken care of when shopping for your wedding dress. My trips to Something Bleu are some of the happiest memories I have during my wedding planning.

With only four weeks to plan for my special day, the staff at Something Bleu invited me into their gorgeous bridal salon and helped me find just the right dress. After going to a few bridal places and being told they couldn't do anything for me and then walking into Something Bleu, I thought I would run into the same frowned looks. Instead, I was treated just as special as they treat every bride. They welcomed me in and let me see what caught my eye and then made it work. Denise, the owner, is a remarkable woman who doesn't just make you feel like you are doing business with her, but makes you feel like you are working with a family member who looks out for your best interests. Shopping for my dress at Something Bleu turned out to be one of the best shopping experiences ever. Sherri, the seamstress was also amazing and in the end you will walk out happy, laughing and telling stories to your friends about your wonderful experience. What I think is most remarkable is that they truly treat you like a princess no matter what your price range. I would send those I love nowhere else.

LOVE Denise and her girls. I felt so welcome every time I walked into the boutique. Terry helped me select my gown and somehow (maybe based on the 200 photos I brought with me) she knew exactly what I was looking for. She found a gown that I wouldn't have necessarily chosen and it became my gown. Terri was beyond sweet, knew the best gown for my bigger body type, and made me feel beautiful in it. I love that they make appointments and reserve time for you, and you only, to use the boutique to select your gown without interruptions from other clients. You become their only focus. They're even so particular about the way you transport your gown - they place everything in the car for you so that no wrinkles form. Details like this are so important. Would absolutely recommend them to anyone who can fit their beautiful gowns in their budget.
Also, I need to mention the seamstress, Irena. She was PHENOMENAL! She accommodated every little detail i wanted on my down and had very, very reasonable pricing.

I loved Something Bleu Bridal. I went there after trying out some more commercialized places and the experience was amazing. You need an appointment to try dresses on but unlike other places you are not competing for space, rooms or the attention of your consultant. They had enough of a selection to fit every budget and I end up buying and LOVING a dress I never even would have taken a second look at. I went there after a coworker suggested I try it out and I am so happy that I did. They were welcoming and professional right up to the last minute of picking up my dress. Irena was an amazing seamstress that worked magic in a short time. I can't rave enough about this place you have to experience it for yourself. I promise you won't be disappointed!

Such an amazing bridal shop from the minute you walk in their doors! I am so happy I was able to use Something Bleu. I originally was feeling pressured from a different local shop to order my dress and so I called Denise at Something Bleu. She was able to squeeze me an appointment that same night I called as she could sense my anxiety and wanted to change how I felt about the process. She made me feel the way a bride to be should! The shop is gorgeous and has so many selections. The day I went in, the shop had already sent back some dresses from a trunk show, but they actually called the designer and mail carrier and brought the dresses back for me to try on that evening!!! Right then and there I knew how much they cared without even meeting me prior. I was able to find the most perfect dress and I received so many compliments on how beautiful I looked. The dress I purchased was not a dress I could have bought from any of the other stores I went too! All my orders came into the shop ahead of schedule which was great that I didn't have to worry about a thing since they held on to everything for me. Upon time for fittings they coordinated me with a great seamstress who did a perfect job! As much as the seamstress does not work for the salon, their professionalism was so good that they know who to trust. The dress shop that originally pressured me is where my bridesmaids bought their dresses, and 5 out of 7 of them had seamstress problems all the way up until hours before the ceremony! I wish I had never walked into the other shop! If you are planning a wedding, please make an appointment with Something Bleu. Once your there, you won't want to leave without knowing their wonderful staff is handling your most precious detail for the big day. The dress!!

What a beautiful building/shop that creates a unique and special dress shopping experience. Terry was a delight to work with from meeting her at a bridal show, to trying on dresses, to the day I picked up my dress. Their inventory is small but it is selected with thought...they only have beautiful dresses! My dress was there as part of a trunk show. It was perfect for me and our wedding. very happy!

Walking into my consulation i didnt know what to expect. The building is so neat, but as you walk up the stairs it becomes a fanasty. There on the rack are many dresses to choose from in a yet relaxing and comfortable environment. I liked several types of dresses so I took off the rack and tried them all on! My family and friends were seated in a special room where i was able to walk and and show the dresses off. I ended up choosing a dress I did not think I was going to choose at all. The staff was so willing to play around with accessories, vails, etc. I try my dress on next week and very excited. I recommend Denise and Something Bleu to everyone in the area.

I was an incredibly non-traditional bride in that I didn't want a "wedding" dress, so dress shopping was pretty painful for me. I didn't want to spend thousands of dollars on something I would wear only one day, I didn't want to look like a cupcake, and I just couldn't find anything in the area that was otherwise remotely fashionable or "me". The majority of gowns I looked at elsewhere were either the "cheapest" traditional gowns in the house (which were always ugly) or neutral-colored bridesmaid's gowns. Most places were fairly open to trying to help me with my unconventional wishes, but none so much as Denise and her consultants at Something Bleu.
I first met Denise at a bridal show in the area. She engaged me in conversation about a gown she had on display that I had my eye on. I told her of my gown troubles and what I had in mind and she told me that I just HAD to come see her and her collection of vintage-inspired pieces at the salon. She was pretty darn confident I'd be able to find something there, and it was the first I had heard of anything remotely interesting in the bridal salon department here, so about a month later I called to make an appointment and she remembered me!
My visit was wonderful, the shop is gorgeous, the young consultants "got me" and were extremely helpful. I got to choose the dresses off the rack myself, instead of having a complete stranger estimate what I'd want off of some mysterious behind the scenes racks (which always ends up terribly wrong).
The salon is a breathtaking historic mansion full of gorgeous traditional gowns, of which I got NO pressure to try on, and one small rack of more offbeat (but fantastic) gowns. That's where I found my ridiculous and fabulous sequin-covered gown! They didn't pressure me at all when I wasn't ready to commit right then, but in a couple weeks I was back to purchase it right off the rack for ~$600.
People went *bonkers* over my gown, it was perfect for the aesthetic and mood of our low key event and my unconventional wedding style, but still amazingly elegant and wedding appropriate. As I bought the dress off the rack, I had to have it altered (elsewhere - they don't have an alterations department, so there was no pressure there either) but the full cost of the dress STILl came in under $1000, which I'm completely jazzed about. No one would EVER guess that. I didn't think I had a CHANCE finding something different AND fabulous locally. Something Bleu Bridal exceeded my expectations and I was treated surprisingly well coming in the door with a strict low budget and no desire to try on any of their fabulous traditional gowns. I feel that they put just as much time and effort into my business as they would have any other much larger-budget traditional bride, and that spoke volumes for me.

I loved my dress and they were very willing to work within my budget and with the idea of what I wanted my dress to look like. I never once felt pressured into anything and in fact, ended up buying the first dress that the consultant suggested to me because she understood what I wanted so perfectly. I think that as far as the bridal salons in this area, this is absolutely the best one, not only because of service and professionalism but because they truly strive to make every bride happy.

They have beautiful dresses here and the service is perfect. It's the kind of place you want to buy your dress from. They take you into a private room with a big mirror and comfy seats for the gilrs you bring with you, and they help you into the dresses and even hold it tight on you so you can see what it will look like once it's altered.They have a great seamstress that comes to the store to do your alterations. Overall- a wonderful experience.

Something Bleu was one of the best bridal experiences I had! Alli is very kind and super knowledgeable about trends and styles. The atmosphere is very relaxed and staff are very attentive, you will be treated like you are the only one there. I never felt pressured or rushed and the selection was amazing! Although I didn't wind up purchasing my dress here, I would highly recommend Something Bleu if you're looking for a unique dress!

I literally had a "life saving" wedding day experience with Something Bleu and am so thankful... Though I did not buy my wedding dress from Something Bleu (I purchased mine in California before I moved), their seamstress did make a stunning veil for me in under two weeks and she was a pleasure to work with. As for my wedding saving experience, their manager Allison came to my rescue on the big day in Saratoga Springs! I was getting dressed before the church and the back panel of my dress was missing (mind you it is an hour until the ceremony). My photographer called Something Bleu and Allison literally ran over to help. She brought a kit of whatever she could find for a bridal emergency and came to the rescue. She was ready to make a new panel if need be. Allison and Something Bleu went above and beyond to help me even though my dress came from elsewhere. Allison was a lifesaver and I made it to the church on time! Thank you!!!

I couldn't be happier with Something Bleu. I purchased two wedding dresses here (ha, long story) for my June wedding. I ended up with a one-of-a-kind dress at a great price. There's truly something for everyone.. high-end designer dresses, champagne, ivory, ball gowns, sheath dresses and affordable dresses as well. There's a great range of prices (check out their sale rack!!). They also have mother of the bride dresses and bridesmaids dresses.
The salon itself and the staff are wonderful. Terry, Janelle, Beth, Denise, all were great! What I liked is they really help guide your decision. They are honest and emphasize the positive, while also being realistic about what you're trying on.
I, like many brides, had major dress regret with dress #1. Denise (the owner) was kind enough to work with me on my options. You feel like they actually really care. This is definitely not typical of bridal salons. Many are just out to grab your deposit and kind of trap you into a dress, but not at Something Bleu.

Don't go to Albany or Schenectady (or Colonie... you know the store I'm talking about!) for your dress. You won't regret it.
