Jonathan and Megan were incredible for our fall wedding. Everything was perfect and beautiful (except nobody saved me a grilled cheese and tomato soup shooter 😂😭, after hearing all about how good it was I was jealous). The food speaks for itself…amazing! We have guests still talking about how great the food was a month and a half later. But the service Jonathan and Megan offer is unmatched. They know what they’re doing and do it impeccably! I couldn’t thank them more! -

We booked Solitude approximately 2 years before the wedding after meeting with them at a Dunkin Donuts in Ticonderoga [lets be clear here - It felt weird at first until after the meeting when I realized they weren't from the area, were going on a family vacation and just happened to agree to meet with us near our wedding venue].
Some positive notes:
- Over the 2 years I must have e-mailed Jonathan dozens of times to ask questions and make changes and he never had a problem doing it, even during wedding season when I'm sure he was crazy busy with more pressing clients.
- We had a family guest at our wedding so picky that in the past he had ventured out to a nearby McDonalds to get food instead of eating catered food. . .Even he was happy and ate!
- No less than a dozen people came up to us during the wedding to let us know this was the best wedding food they've ever had. One family member came up to mention it so often that it became a running joke for the rest of the night.
- Meghan [who makes incredible pies, because we did not want a wedding cake] made sure we ate dinner and that was super important. We've heard so many horror stories of people not eating at their wedding but she made sure we had the time to sit down and eat which was super cool.
Basically, the only real disappointed is that it's all over and I have no legitimate reason to book them again.

We knew from the tasting that Jonathan and Meghan were who we wanted to cater our wedding. Their food and service were incredible! We had a few changes to the menu and Jonathan was more than accommodating. We would suggest them to cater anyones wedding in the area! :) -

Jonathan was able to come up with a menu that was creative, delicious and fit with the entire day perfectly! Our bellies and our hearts were so very happy with the whole experience. Brandon Sent on 10/04/2018Jonathan and his team were absolutely phenomenal. We had an entire concept in our head that we struggled to articulate and Jonathan interpreted it perfectly. From first meeting to final product he was right there with us. If you're looking for a yes man, Jonathan is not your man. He anticipates problems or issues with anything and everything and is honest and upfront so there are no surprises on your day. Take his advice, he knows what he's talking about. Not to mention the food is AMAZING!

He was super accommodating of our families for our tasting, checked in frequently with us throughout the planning process, worked closely with our planner and tent rental company to make sure everything worked smoothly, and, most importantly, made the most amazing food for our wedding, including a personalized late night snack. 6 weeks after our wedding, our friends are still raving to us about the food and asking us for the recipes--who ever remembers the food like that at a wedding?!?

Kaitlin Sent on 10/03/2018Loved working with Jonathan! We had a unique challenge because we were planning a wedding in a remote NY location from California. Jonathan was great about setting up phone calls well in advance so we could talk through everything, and was very responsive to emails--and there were many! He took the time to listen and get a sense of us as a couple and was able to translate that into a fabulous custom event and meal that really represented the feel we were going for. Multiple people told us the food was the best they had ever had at a wedding. He goes with local vendors whenever possible and you could definitely tell--everything was beautiful and in season. Can't recommend him highly enough.

Stanzi Sent on 10/10/2017Hands down, working with Jonathan and Meghan of Solitude Catering for our wedding was an incredible experience. From the beginning, Jonathan worked with us to figure out a menu that reflected our personalities, worked with our budget, and sourced local products from the Adirondacks when possible. The result? A killer menu for an outdoor tented wedding with a buffet, as well as a delicious brunch menu the following day, both of which our guests are still talking about. Not only that, our wedding was held at a private venue that had never had a wedding before - despite some serious issues with the electricity, Jonathan and Megan powered through and overcame these issues with the help of our incredible wedding planner and no one noticed a thing - seriously, it wasn't until I saw Meghan the next day that I even learned there were any issues to begin with. While that was an unfortunate circumstance I wish we could have planned for and prevented, their level of professionalism in spite of the whole ordeal was first-rate. We couldn't have been happier with Solitude's attention to detail. Jonathan and Meghan have a clear and dedicated passion for what they do, and if you're looking for an incredibly hardworking, professional, and smart duo, I can't recommend them enough.

Laura Sent on 10/17/2016Jonathan and his team were amazing! We rented a large rental house and originally planned on doing our own rehearsal dinner, but decided against it. Best decision we made. We hired Jonathan as a private chef and he worked with us on the menu to make it what we wanted. The day of went so smoothly. They cooked for 24 of us and it was so delicious. Our families and friends were raving about it all weekend. It was so fun and Jonathan and his team made it so easy on us. Highly recommend!!! -

Jonathan was fun, easy and flexible to work with, and brought a lot of energy and excitement to our planning process. We wanted something less formal for our dinner atmosphere and he tailored the meal perfectly to our taste and our budget. We ended up having traditional southern fried chicken and sides, and it was out of this world! It received rave reviews - many of our guests agreed it was the best fried chicken they'd ever had. Start to finish, Jonathan and Solitude Catering were incredible. We highly recommend them and would be thrilled to work with them again in the future! -
Rebecca Sent on 10/03/2018Solitude catered an intimate wedding dinner for us. The food was absolutely fantastic (!) and simply but beautifully presented. The staff were timely, courteous, and diligent about cleaning up. We were so pleased with the quality of the fare and the service they provided.
