Excellent Service and Awesome Company!

We absolutely loved having Smith Landing Photo Booth at our wedding! The photo booth was a huge hit with our guests—everyone had such a great time taking pictures, and the props and backdrops were so much fun.

We especially appreciated how easy they made the entire process, from booking to getting our digital gallery afterward. The photos turned out beautifully and captured so many fun, candid moments we’ll treasure forever.

If you’re looking for a photo booth that’s stylish, well-run, and guaranteed to bring energy to your event, we can’t recommend Smith Landing Photo Booth enough!

Great Photo Booth

The photo booth was so much fun. It was a definite hit at our wedding. John was responsive throughout the planning phase and showed up on time for the event. He was SO NICE to us and all our guests. He seemed to be having as much fun as we did. He brought a ton of props and the backdrop he was great. Also as Covid is still a concern, the photo booth he brought was all open air and made our guests feel more safe. I also got a link to all of the photos from the night the next day. Everything was great. Definitely hire Smith Landing for your event!

The owner, John, was easy to get in touch with over the phone. When trying to figure out which company to go with for a photobooth, I recommend going with Smith Landing. The day of our wedding, they were on time, provided props, and had a high quality digital photobooth. The great thing about this company was we were able to receive a digital copy of everyone's photo booth moment, which I think a lot of our guests were unaware of, making the pictures hilarious. The day of there were prints for the guests to take home which was a great feature. The attendant was pleasant and on time. It helped make our wedding fun and was great to have the digital copies available afterwards. Thank you Smith Landing PhotoBooth.

All of our guests had a great experience with the photobooth! Smith Landing was easy to work with and great about customizing our photostrips. Their rates were also better than other companies for what you're getting. The only advice I have for other couples is to bring your own props or specifically request the props you want- the standard ones we used were not exactly what we would have chosen but I also did not ask for anything specific. Overall great experience and would highly recommend!

Smith Island did an amazing job with having a photo booth for my wedding day! It was a last minute decision to get a photo booth, since my wedding was outdoor on my dads farm, not sure if it would work or not. But we booked it, his price was very affordable, some can be crazy costly. This part was very appealing. He was very quick to respond to my emails, designed our photo strip, and was super accommodating to our site. We wanted it to be open air, with a gold backdrop. It was perfect!!!!! He came at the right time, when everyone started to get a few drinks in them to participate, the gold went with my color theme, and he was super friendly. John most certainly deserves 5 stars. After the wedding we received an email with the link to download the photos or purchase them if they did not get glued into our book. Which was perfect for viewing since not everyone glued their photos in the book! Looks like every guest had a blast with the open air photo booth! I highly highly recommend John and his company, he was an outstanding addition to our wedding. 9-10-2016

I have only good things to say about our photobooth experience! Their price was great compared to the other options we found, the photos came out great, they had a awesome selection of hats and glasses to go with the photobooth, and the attendant was great. Some other photoboths I've seen come with a few glasses or mustaches on a stick, this one had BOXES of hats and glasses, it was great! It also had a viewing screen so the people outside the photobooth could see the pictures that were being taken as well, which was super fun! Additionally, our attendant helped me (the bride) photo bomb some of our guests in the photobooth! It was great! Our wedding planner also said that the attendant was very organized with making sure she got the guestbook, pens, and glue sticks that we had put out for the guests to paste the second copy in our guestbook with!

The Photobooth was a hit at our wedding! I would highly recommend Smith Landing to anyone trying to decide on a vendor. Their responsiveness was great from the very first email down to sending us the download link with all of our photos from the night once the event was over. John answered every question that I had very promptly. i loved our photo strip design, and the props were so fun! The pictures look amazing, and I love how the guest book turned out. My friends and family had such a good time with John and many already want to book Smith Landing for future events. Their professionalism is some of the best I've seen, and I have great photos to remember one of the best days of my life. Lots of laughs, lots of fun! I will definitely use Smith Landing again!

The photobooth was such a hit at our wedding, everyone was raving about it!! The props were awesome and it was so great for our guests to have something to do during our cocktail hour. It also kept the few kids at our wedding entertained during dinner, which was a nice added bonus. John was great to work with and definitely went out of his way to make our wedding special with the photobooth! I would definitely recommend Smith Landing PhotoBooth to anyone looking for something extra to add to their big day!

Our guests LOVED the photobooth! We used the photo strips for our guest book and it was one of the best parts of our wedding. We loved being able to go back and look at the hilarious photos of our guests and read their messages the next day to remember how special our wedding was. Working with John was awesome! He was always responsive and accommodating to anything we asked. The attendant on the day-of was a huge hit as well! Everyone loved him! He was so kind and really encouraged people to have fun. It seemed liked he was having a great time being there and that was really wonderful to hear from our guests. When people remember to tell you how wonderful a vendor was, that is really impressive. They even let us use our own props that we had specially made for the event (although I have heard their props are just as fantastic). Smith Landing also offers several other add-on services which guests love! Like instant social sharing and extra photos for each person in the photo. They also sent us a link to every photo taken so we had any that didn't make it into the guestbook - which was awesome! I highly recommend working with them. They are responsive, kind and guests will love it! Thank you, John & Smith Landing!

We made a last minute decision to hire a photo booth for our wedding and I was absolutely thrilled with the service provided by Smith Landing. We booked only 3 days in advance and John answered all my questions very quickly and made sure I had exactly what I was looking for. They came right on time to set up the booth and our guests loved it! We had a beach themed wedding and they had even customized the strip to fit our theme and put our names and the date on the bottom.

I paid a little extra to have them print strips for each person in the photo (2 prints is the default) and it was well worth it. When John sent me the pictures I could not get over how many people took advantage of the booth and all the props they provided. It was hilarious! Nothing like seeing your grandparents with crazy hats and glasses on making faces for the pictures. I thought too many props would be a little gimmicky but everyone really seemed to enjoy it and we loved looking through all of the pictures afterward and seeing how much people enjoyed it.

The prints were a really great quality and vibrant colors. Smith Landing was also very reasonable in price compared to some of the quotes we got from other vendors. They really provide a top quality experience for your money here.

For the majority of my wedding, my husband and I used vendors recommended by our wedding venue. However, I went on a random finding and found Smith Landing Photo Booth. Jon immediately called me back regarding my questions on using them for my wedding and gave me a great deal for my wedding day. I was a little bit nervous since I had never met Jon (until my wedding day) and was not 100% sure what I was in for but boy did I go with the right choice! Everyone at my wedding LOVED the Photo Booth. From the props, to the print out pictures, to the actual Photo Booth itself it was an absolute hit! I would recommend this Photo Booth service to anyone looking for a great deal with lots of fun add-ons!

We had an absolute blast with our photo booth. All of our guests took advantage of the photo booth multiple times. It also provided a keepsake for our guests as we got in with just about every guest for pictures!! The vendor even printed extra pictures for us right there on the spot for groups of us so that we could all have pictures, not to mention we received a copy of all the pictures ourselves after the wedding to see all the goofy pictures taken that night. I was able to find small photo booth frames to put their pictures in and it was hit for all, many walked away with as many at 10-15 picture strips that night. I also loved the fact that they were able to personalize the photo strip to match the theme of our wedding, which made it even better!!! Definately would recommend Smith Landing Photobooth to anyone who is thinking about it.

I had always thought that photobooths added to every event, but Smith Landing PhotoBooth did so much more. Everyone got involved and took so many pictures, and not only that everyone got two strips and could put one in a scrapbook for my husband and I and write a note for us. It was such a great guest book and Smith Landing knew my colors and designed the strip and book to fit exactly with my theme. Even my 95 year old grandmother got involved! I absolutely loved having them there, and they were truly professional and fun. Thank you so much for adding such an amazing experience to my wedding, I would use them again in a heartbeat!

This photobooth service was affordable and easy to work with. They arrived and set up without a hitch. My guests had an AWESOME time with this photobooth, and the props were a lot of fun. The attendant was very professional. Everyone got two hard copies of the photos, and then all the pictures were sent to me digitally a few days after the wedding, which was awesome. Thank you so much for being a very low stress but extremely fun addition to my wedding reception!

I cannot say enough good things about Smith Landing! The photo booth was probably the highlight of the wedding reception; all of my guests LOVED it, young and old. It is definitely worth it if you are on the fence, and after doing a lot of research, Smith Landing has by far some of the best rates and the best service. They kept a great line of communication open with me, and made sure to contact me promptly about the style of photo booth that would fit me best (at no extra cost). I went with the traditional set-up, but they made sure to give me all of the options available, including a larger setup that can fit more people in a photo (I would suggest this one for anyone having a wedding, I should have taken their advice but I'm stubborn!). Our attendant was great; she was fun and kept the night flowing, and was able to wrangle the huge crowd that was gathered around the booth for pretty much the whole night (people seriously loved it. VERY worth the money!) She also made sure to catch the groom and I at the end of the night to make sure we got to use the booth together. This was great, because you get pretty busy during the reception and it was really helpful to have someone looking out for us. The props were really fun and they brought a HUGE variety of items. I would also highly suggest paying the extra to have "unlimited" prints, i.e. prints for everyone in the photo. You also get digital copies of all of the photos after the reception, and they are priceless. There is nothing like seeing a picture of your Dad and Aunt in wigs and viking hats. We also got a custom name/date/picture at the bottom of the photo strips, which was a really sweet personal touch. The booth itself was really nice and had a touch screen monitor in addition to the attendant there to help you. The entire setup is white, so it looked really nice in our reception.

I cannot recommend them enough, and you will cherish these photos! Will be recommending to all my future-engaged friends!

Jon was a wonderful addition to our wedding. One of my favorite things about his service was his prioritization of others. Throughout the reception, Jon was sure to accommodate the various needs of people who wanted to use the photobooth. In fact, Jon even held the legs of one guest who needed to get into the photobooth upside down because the inside seat was filled! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Smith Landing Photobooth to anyone who is hosting an event, wedding, or party. Great service, great professionalism, and a matchless willingness to accommodate guests. Excellent job, Smith Landing!

Everything about Smith Landing Photobooth was wonderful! From the day we hired them, they were always very responsive and made us feel at ease. The photographer,Tim, was very friendly, set up on time (early) brought props and was very easy and unobtrusive. We used the photos as the guestbook and it's a wonderful keepsake. Highly recommend!

The photo booth was the hit of the reception. The line never stopped! We had the larger circular booth that fits more people than the small booth, which was great!! And the best thing is getting the photo album at the end of the night. John was great to work with and always responded quickly to my emails.

John was absolutely wonderful. Service was outstanding and props were excellent. When I requested the quote, he was quick to respond and remained on top of things throughout the planning process. They were AMAZING!! And for my first time EVER buying ANYTHING offline, I was very impressed. Since I never purchased anything offline, let alone a vendor for my wedding (which I never met prior to my wedding), I was weary about them showing up, but they were setup on time as contracted! The attendant was well dressed and very helpful to all that were going into the booth! I would definitely recommend the scrapbook service as well, the book itself is of high quality and allowed people to write their little 'love' messages to us!! 5 star service all around!! Will totally recommend them to anyone who asks about them--plus the price is unbeatable!!

EXCELLENT!! Very professional! Our guest were a very lively bunch. He stayed cool as a cumber all night and did his thing. The value and life long memories you get from this is priceless. The scrapbook with guest well wishes was a GREAT touch. Our guests praised the photo booth experience. My husband and I HIGHLY recommend him.

I had actually signed a contract with a different photobooth that we had seen at a bridal show. I canceled with them due to the fact that they were very wishy washy and hard to get in contact with. So glad I canceled because this was the best photobooth deal I could find and totally worth it. Our attendant was awesome and everyone really enjoyed the booth, they're all still talking about! A friend of ours that was at our wedding already said she will be using this company for her wedding next year. Highly recommend!

The guy was very good with communicating. They were the best deal I could find for a photobooth and the pictures turned out nice. They even had a book that people could put their pictures in and write in. The only thing I did not like was the chairs in the booth. As soon as you went to sit down the chairs kind of swiveled so you had to be careful.

I am the mother of the bride and this was the first time I had ever used a photo booth. Smith Landing Photo Booth was excellent! Their service was very professional and flexible. They went above and beyond to accommodate the guests and really made the wedding reception a lot of fun! That's all the guests could talk about was how much fun they had with the photo booth dressing up and taking fun pics! They were able to take unlimited photos and the bride and groom received copies of the fun pics of all their guests and the photos also served as our wedding favors for the guests with the bride and groom's pic on top and their names and wedding date on the bottom and three pics of the guests in between. The line for photos with laughing and fun didn't stop until the night ended! I would definitely recommend them to everyone.

John is an amazing person in general and in handling people. He helps people find the buttons to push, assists them in their selection of hats, masks, etc. to wear for their photo shots, and shows them how the screen lets people see how many seconds they have to prepare for the next shot.
John showed each group how they could help to personalize our photo album by placing the extra strip on a page and craft any sentiment they wished.
You would be crazy not to use Smith Landing PhotoBooth for your next event.

John was great to work with. There were no good photo booth companies in our area so I contacted John and he was willing to make the trip to Roanoke and charged a very reasonable amount to do so. He brought all kinds of very fun props and really made sure the guests had a great time in the photobooth! He even brought special props at my request. I would highly recommend him to any bride or event planner!

The photobooth was a BIG hit at our wedding reception. There were tons of props for our guests to choose from. Everyone had so much fun taking photos, and my husband and I absolutely love the scrapbook that was put together of all the photos (along with messages from our guests). I was so happy with the background that the photos were printed on. Everything was perfect and couldn't have asked for anything better!! Definitely a good investment and would recommend!!!

John with Smith Landing Photobooth was AMAZING! My husband and I knew we wanted a photobooth at the wedding and we had a hard time finding one that had everything we wanted. We knew we wanted props, a scrapbook guestbook, unlimited photos, duplicate print outs, etc. I searched for a long time, comparing prices, and amentities. When I found Smith Landing, it seemed too good to be true. John offered the lowest price, customized curtain for the booth, customized photo strips, props, a scrabbook guestbook that he personally helped put together, duplicate photos, and even a flashdrive with every photo from the night! This was especially important because I did not have to worry about getting copies of the pictures that I liked. John was even considerate enough to ask us what we would like him to wear for the event. He answered emails very quickly, and showed up on time. He was also VERY great with the kids. They had a blast in the booth and were crazy. John was awesome with them. He helped them switch their props out in between each picture, and made sure that the short kids had something to stand on. I was very pleased with how quickly we received everything after the event. John emailed us a link to all of the photos the day after the wedding! He also sent us an email asking for out address, and within a few days, we had the thumb drive. I would recommend Smith Landing to anyone and everyone! If I ever had another event of any kind, I would contact John. We were very very pleased!

Having a photobooth at my daughter's wedding was one of the best features of the evening. And having Smith Landing Photobooth was one of my best vendor selections!

SLP was great to work with throughout the process. John was very responsive to every question and request. The value of the package (4 hour) was fantastic - having duplicate photo strips, having a scrapbook for the bride and groom, customized photobooth drapes, exterior monitor for guests to see what is happening in the booth, great and numerous props, having John at the photobooth all night, and getting a memory stick of all photos taken.

I would highly recommend SLP for anyone considering a photobooth at their next event. And for those not sure of whether a photobooth would be a good addition, you won't be disappointed! Your photobooth experience will be a great one if you use Smith Landing Photobooth!

We decided last minuted to get a photobooth and we are so glad we did! Our guests couldn't get enough of it. We didn't have to worry at all about setup, Smith Landing took care of everything. We love our album and that our wedding colors are on the photo strips. The props were hilarious and I've already had people asking for Smith Landing's info for their next event. Definitely a must to have these guys at your wedding!

I found Smith Landing Photobooth on an ad on Craigslist. I contacted John and he worked with me regarding the distance and price to be able to make it to our wedding. He worked with me on the colors and design of the photo strips. He arrived when he stated and actually stayed longer than expected. John brought a lot of props and everybody had a great time. The photobooth was definitely a hit! John sent me a public link to view the photos and also sent me a flashdrive with all the photos. We highly recommend using his services! Thank you so much John!!

If you have ANY doubt about renting a photobooth for an event, doubt no further and be SURE to rent the BEST, which is Smith Landing Photo Booth. First and foremost, this was the absolute BEST investment. My husband was very on-the-fence about renting a photobooth, but I convinced him and he was SO happy that I did. Not only did we receive a gorgeous guestbook photo album, but we also are able to view all of the photos online, and they were up the next day! John (the owner) is one of the sweetest and kindest people I have come across, and he really knows what he's doing. He was so nice to everyone, and came over to me and introduced himself, and made sure he said goodbye before the end of the night.
EVERYONE had a great time in the booth. I have pictures of my grandmother, and my husbands grandmother, with funny looking ears and glasses on, and I know, that in that moment, they truly enjoyed themselves, and we have the proof to last us a lifetime.
I really cannot speak better of John & Smith Landing. The prices are extremely reasonable (and trust me, I shopped around) and the quality and service are impeccable.
We actually tried to book him for my husband's fathers wedding, but sadly, he is already booked... however, instead of jsut saying "sorry, can't help you", he offered to call different local companies for their availability! now THAT is customer service at it's finest! (We did decline though, b/c we are fiercely loyal, and NO ONE will receive our business except for John & Smith Landing!)
With that said, the photobooth was AWESOME. It had a screen on the outside of the booth and John custom made a background to the print-outs to have our names and a design behind the actual printed photos.
The props were absolutely hilarious too, and there were literally a gazillion to choose from.
Honestly, I wish I had more time in the booth, and I would recommend John & Smith Landing 100 million times!

We researched several photo booth companies & was excited when we came across this company & all they offered. Smith Landing did a FABULOUS job @ our wedding reception. We especially loved that everyone of all ages got in the booth & showed their personality!! People especially loved the screen outside the booth where you could see what was going on inside! The photo booth was definitely a huge success and as we look through the hundreds of pics on the online gallery I can see that fun was definitely had! I highly recommend Smith Landing if you're in search of a great photo booth.

Our guest loved our photobooth...it was probably the highlight of our wedding. It gave the guest something to do and take home that was about them. We enjoyed looking at the photo album afterwards and looking at the photos and comments/best wishes from our guest. John was great to work with. My main contact with him was through email (which was my choice, since its easiest for me) and he always responded quickly. He customized the photostrips to go with the colors of the wedding which were cornflower blue and he put little blue flowers on the border which were perfect. He also gave us a photo album which matched our theme. The pictures printed out superfast and there were tons of props for our guest to choose from. John was very professional and super easy to work with. To anyone thinking about having a photobooth (which is probably the best money you will spend for your guest) use Smith Landing Photobooth!!

I booked Smith Landing Photobooth for my senior prom and it was fantastic! Everybody had so much fun in the booth and the pictures were fantastic quality. John was very professional and so easy to work with. I would definitely reccomend him to a friend. The booth was a great price for a great product! I can't wait to plan another event where I can rent a photobooth! :)

It's very hard to find a photobooth company that prints out enough photostrips for each person who is in the picture. This was the ONLY company I found that actually offered unlimited prints - huge selling point. I made the most of the booth by incorporating it as my guestbook and giving out 2x6 acrylic magnetic frames which doubled as escort cards and a favor for our guests. It was a hit for all ages!! I missed this, but apparently the booth didn't work for the first 30 minutes of the reception but I wouldn't let that stop me from recommending them to someone. I was very pleased with how the pictures turned out and loved looking at the pictures again on my website and guestbook!

Everyone loves the photo booth and although you may be able to find the photo booth cheaper Smith Landing doesn't nickle and dime you. Everything is included which makes them so easy to deal with. Of all of the vendors Smith Landing always responded to us first. It's such a relief that you don't have to worry about them for your wedding day.

The photobooth was the highlight of our wedding. I would recommend this company to anyone. Contacting the company was a bit difficult as times, seeing as I did not receive a responses for a week plus. The props were great and the customization was very appealing. I loved how easy the photobooth was to use, especially for an older crowd and I enjoyed scrapbook very much.

Wow! These days, it is so tough to find this level of service, responsiveness, professionalism and friendliness! I was in a tough spot after another vendor was not able to accommodate me and I was left with last-minute challenge to find someone. The bride means a lot to me and there was no way I could disappoint. After many calls to lots of others, this company came through BIG TIME and I am so grateful! I hate to take one star off for value (price) since I did get a discount I found online. I would absolutely recommend to friend, would just encourage to see if there is a special since it's a tad pricey. But, you will not regret and worth every penny! For once in a lifetime events where failure is not an option, this company made communication, payment, coordination, individualized graphics and color coordination with the bride and groom's names and date were all super-easy, super-fast and fun. Went from sweating bullets to feeling like a star - thank you, John! There was a line almost every time I walked by to check in, the technician was great, the variety of props was fun. They even let the wedding party walk in using props which added excitement to the introductions. Adding on the photo book was totally worth it. The bride now has a link to digital copies of everything and the quality of photos is fantastic.

The owner is great and very responsive. I got frustrated with the attendants because they abandoned the booth when the other vendors went to eat. However, the other vendors had been working for several hours and they had recently arrived, and the booth opened at 730, about when they left. We quickly brought them right back. I wouldn't have minded except I was asking guests to keep one photo strip and put the other in a guest book with a note and no one was there to tell the first 15 guests or so who did photos. I ended up with a full guest book and did get a digital copy of all the photos, later, though. Guests absolutely loved it and it was the hit of the evening. Definitely recommend them and just tell the guys at the beginning of the night that at least one of them always has to stay with the booth.

We planned our wedding from across the country and this was one of few vendors that we did not have to worry about. Our Photo Booth technician was professional, on time, and had everything set up. She ensured our guests had a great time and understood how to use the booth. Her props were fantastic. They used our colors and theme to make a perfect photo strip design. We look forward to seeing the digital designs in the near future.
