I cannot express how grateful I am to to this team. I don’t do reviews often but I feel so strongly about this one, I want it to be perfect, just like my wedding. From the first day I met with Rick, he gave us advise about the date of the wedding that completely changed how stressed we were trying to accommodate everyone. The team was organized and kept me on track the entire time. Every question I had was answered with pleasure and never made me feel like I was a burden. The day of was just amazing and they thought of everything and I was able to just worry about enjoying the day. I recommend this team with all my heart and soul. Pastor and Photographer were Excellent!
The pastor and the photographer were incredibly precessional. We had some trouble with the website, but they were happy to help over the phone. I even called and spoke to Mrs. Durham beforehand and she was very helpful with the all little questions about photography. Our wedding was small. We had family and a few friends staying at cabins on a single property. The pastor and the photographer worked together to make our little ceremony a success. The photographer even grabbed by bouquet and passed it to my mom so that my hands would be free for the ceremony. So helpful! The ceremony was beautiful. Reverend Rick Durham drew from our surroundings for his words. Following the ceremony, the photographer did a great job pulling everyone together for formal photos. The formal photos are great! But our favorite photos are the candid ones she took at the reception. Overall, we would highly recommend them and are so thankful to them for making our wedding day so special.

Absolutely perfect!
We had a small, intimate wedding here and loved our experience. We chose one of the elopement packages and it was perfect for what we needed. The venue was beautiful and the dressing rooms spacious. Wonderful wedding officiate and photographer!
We cannot say enough great things about our experience with Rev. Rick Durham and his daughter, Delaney! Rev. Durham did such a fantastic job with the ceremony and was great about being available and responsive to any questions we had leading up to the big day. And Delaney is such a talented photographer! We were absolutely blown away by our beautiful photos when we received our "sneak peek". She really put us at ease and made us feel so comfortable during the photoshoot. They were both so kind and made our day extra special. The officiate/photography package they offer was absolutely perfect for us and much more affordable than other vendors we saw. Our wedding day was beyond perfect and we can't thank them enough. Highly recommend!

A stress free wedding
Cyndi and Rick are such a wonderful couple and made our big day even better than we hoped for. The ceremony builder was such a help and made things go very smooth. They’re so wonderful!
Planning a wedding is chaos, and these lovely folks make it all so easy. Your wedding can be as simple or extravagant as you want. They answered every single email with patience and kindness (typically the same day!) The elegance of Out There and the deck just popped in photos and looks/feels like a fairy tale. We had some family emergencies the week before the ceremony and they offered immense flexibility in anticipation of possibly rescheduling. Once the big day came, they took care of every last detail so we could just focus on each other and enjoy it. I wouldn’t have it any other way. Cavender Castle was the absolute best option and the price just can’t be beat!!

Small Mountain Wedding
After visiting with Rick at Canveder Castle we knew this was the perfect spot for our wedding. They did not disappoint!!! We had small wedding but were treated as if we were the King and Queen. Rick did a fabulous job with the ceremony. Cyndi had everything set up for the reception and Delaney was a terrific photographer, very outgoing and enthusiastic. It was a wonderful Friday evening wedding that we will remember and treasure forever.

Could not have been better
We planned our wedding in less than 45 days. The ceremony builder was simple and easy to use plus was fun to be able to customize myself. All three outdoor location are so beautiful it was hard to choose one. We were going to use the option in the woods that felt like a twilight movie theme. It rained before the wedding so the seats were wet so we ended up using the deck which was beautiful too. Rick and Cyndi were awesome as well. Cyndi came up when were getting ready and walked us through how everything would go. I am always late everywhere I go. Wedding was suppose to start at 6 but we did not start till 6:45 and they patiently waited for me without rushing me. After the wedding was over Cyndi took a bunch of picture for us. Its nice that was included. Pastor Rick was also super nice to bring us a bag that one of the groomsmen left at the castle to the restaurant we had our reception at. I appreciate everything they did and how easy they made our special day.

My savors in a time of doubt!
Just when I thought things couldn't have gone better with COVID-19 and canceling our big Florida wedding - I found Rick at Cavender Castle and they made our day the most amazingly beautiful day I could have ever asked for. Exceeded all expectations! We were scheduled to be married on the same day in Breckenridge, CO with our immediate family. We changed our plans due to Covid-19, and it ended up being us and our two children in Dillard, Georgia. The weather was cold and rainy out entire wedding day. What an amazing destination wedding!
Rick and Cindy are just an amazing team and helped my husband and I to have a special, small, intimate wedding ceremony in Elijay, Ga. They were so flexible on times and days. Cindy's photography is awesome and we are so happy with our pictures. She takes her time and gets very creative with her photos. It was so much fun doing the photography shoot with her! Rick performed such a special wedding ceremony and we even go to choose our vows. He was friendly, sincere and we felt as if we had know both him and Cindy for a long time. I was blown away with our experience at Cavender Castle! The place is beautiful, the castle is so unique with a vintage vibe, and you have multiple areas to pick for your ceremony. Rick is extremely kind, patient, flexible, and made the Castle feel like home. He also knows a lot of stuff about town, and has some really good recommendations. After the ceremony I had forgotten my ring box at the castle , Rick went out of his way to bring it to the hotel me and husband were staying at, and even gave us a call to let us know while me and my husband were out in town for dinner. Overall, the Castle and the property is beautiful with lots of gorgeous spots for pictures and Rick made the whole experience perfect by making the place feel like home. 10/10 experience, I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a small wedding or is going to elope!

We Absolutely Loved Out Day
Rick and Cindy made our day absolutely perfect! All the correspondence leading up to the wedding was helpful to prepare for our day. They were also very helpful when I asked for florist, hair and makeup, and cake recommendations, they sent a list right over and we were not disappointed! We loved the way Rick performed the ceremony and taking pictures with Cindy was just so fun and relaxing. If you're looking for a stress free and fun way to get married, contact them! I cannot say enough great things about them!

Our Wonderful Wedding
What a perfect day! We searched for months for an affordable location that fit our personality as well. I can’t say enough about how perfect it was. It was too cold for the outdoor ceremony we had planned but the staff was prepared and had an indoor spot ready to go. When it came time for pictures, they recommended outside for better quality- they even took the time to let us go inside every few minutes to warm back up. We had a lot of kids and the photographer was patient and got so many pictures!

Beautiful Venue
Rick and Cyndi were great they always answered my questions and I had a lot of them. They were very accommodating to our family and made sure everything ran so smoothly. The venue is beautiful but my favorite spot is the gazebo and it was so nicely decorated and well worth the extra money for them to decorate it. Rick did such a good job with the ceremony and made sure everything we wanted was in the ceremony. I couldn't be happier with my choice to get married at Cavendar Castle.

If I could give Reverend Rick 10 stars, I would! I can think of no other person in this world who could have done a better job. He was professional, courteous, prompt, and most importantly, genuine. All of our guests were so impressed by the quality of our ceremony and said how perfect it was, especially because of Reverend Rick. We were so lucky and blessed to have him be a part of our special day.
Delaney Durham, our day of coordinator, was beyond spectacular. She made our day so easy, and she was such a joy to work with! I cannot think of enough good things to say about her. Do not get married without the help of Delaney!!!! She is so good at her job and worth every penny (although, in my opinion, she doesn't charge enough for her impeccable services). Again, we were so lucky and fortunate to have her with us. She made several trips to the venue before the wedding even though it was an hour and a half away! Anytime I emailed her with a question, she got back to me almost immediately. I certainly hope that this review does her justice. Thank you, Delaney, for making the best day of our lives even better!

Beautiful and luxurious wedding package beyond expectation. Unbelievably priced package that provided superior service quality prior to and on the day of. Every staff member was responsive and very caring. Outside venue was splendid: beautiful wedding chairs, gazebo, and music all together melted into one unforgettable wedding ceremony. We had a very nice ceremony with Rick officiating. Rick and Cindy made sure we were taking care of and were comfortable with the entire day. If you are looking for a middle ground between a full scale wedding and a courthouse ceremony, Cavendar Castle is the place for you. We were married at the "out there" venue which was beautiful. I highly recommend paying a little extra for additional decorations. Just tell Rick and Cyndi your theme and they will take care of the rest. We included our daughter in the ceremony via a unity sand portion. Everyone was very patient with her the whole time. All in all we could not have found a better value for a small wedding. Highly recommend!

We decided to get married at Dick Creek’s waterfall and had an amazing experience. Reverend Rick was patient and kind and made the ceremony everything we wanted. Cindy was efficient and generous with her time and the amount of pictures she took of us and our family. They even took the time to suggest a beautiful winery for us to go to after our ceremony for dinner that was fabulous. Overall, it was the exact wedding we invisioned. It was perfect in every way (and we practically had the waterfall to ourselves). Thank you for a special day!

I chose Cavender Castle for my wedding because of the great cost and flexibility. The venue is absolutely gorgeous! So many locations on site for the wedding to be held and the fact that everything is done for you, makes this a no brainer. Cyndi and Rick are very accommodating of your time and decisions. We were married at Cavender Castle on 7-21-18.. Rick & Cyndi were awesome ! They both were the extremely helpful with everything! The venue is absolutely PERFECT for those who want a small intimate wedding . Cyndi is fabulous and a great photographer to boot ! We both are so happy with the pictures that she took. I would defiantly recommend this venue to everyone ! The grounds are beautiful and such a sweet charm to the whole place.

Rev. Rick is amazing!! So happy I was able to get him on such a short notice! He made the ceremony flow so well and it was just how I wanted it, lighthearted and happy! I got into a car accident on the way to the ceremony which delayed the start time by about an hour and a half. Rick was totally understanding of the situation and everyone at th ceremony loved him!

We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Cavender Castle. I’m not much of a wedding girl myself, but we wanted to have something small to please my mom. I wanted some super low stress, low effort, with a nice ourdoor setting. Cavender Castle was perfect. We planned our tiny wedding in two months. Rick was super easy to work with and answered all of our questions. We loved the ceremony builder website to put together a ceremony that reflected us as a couple without being much work. The day of went off without any issues !! The ceremony site was set up for our number of guests and we were able to finish getting ready while our guests arrived. Ceremony itself was lovely. Photography Delaney was amazing. I seriously had no idea what kind of pictures I wanted and she wandered all over the property with us taking pictures. (She also tied on my sash because we couldn’t get the bow pretty). We got all of our pictures back in LESS THAN A WEEK!!! And they’re all great, I’m so absolutely delighted that pictures were included. We did The enhanced elopement package, and honestly it was such a amazing value for how wonderful the ceremony and the pictures turned out. Highly recommended for any couple looking to have an affordable, low stress tiny wedding !!!

Rick was exceptional throughout the entire process. He made the booking and planning painless, was extremely helpful with his advice for music and other last minute details, and on our big day was a calm voice that set our nerves at ease! And all of that at extremely reasonable prices.

This family was amazing. The entire experience from start to finish was outstanding. Being an out of state couple had its challenges, but this team was superbly awesome. Mrs. Cyndi has the eye for all things awesome, Rev Ricks service was great and personal, and Delaney is the icing on the cake her personality and ability to see things we never thought of just made the service that much better. We loved Rev. Rick and Cindy! They were so sweet and the ceremony was beautiful. It was an intimate ceremony; only my husband and I. Rev. Rick tailored the vows to meet our wants and it was very special and memorable. Cindy took to the time to take a lot of photos with different scenery and poses. My Mom who is a finicky eater, kept raving about how good their food was. We had the herbal rosemary chicken. We chose Rick and his wife for our wedding vow renewal. And we couldn't be more pleased that we did!!! We love how they helped us build the ceremony to fit our needs and were willing to hike up a mountain (at sunrise!) so we could capture our perfect moment. The pictures Ricks wife took of our family are BREATHTAKING and she was so much fun to pose for! It's not always easy to be on the receiving side of the lens. It was absolutely wonderful to have them both involved in our memorable ceremony. From start to finish, they made sure that our day was exactly what we envisioned. Our wedding was absolutely perfect! We live five hours away from the venue and Rick made the whole process easy and smooth. We got to pick out the ceremony and vows word for word from their templates. They recommended a bakery, salon and house rental site, all of which we used and loved. Everything about our wedding was personal and memorable. The photography looked stunning, we are so excited to have some of the photos made into canvases for our home. I cannot rave enough about Rick Durham and his family. They were extremely professional and went out of their way to make everything perfect us.

We loved Cyndi and Rick... They were great... Our cabin wedding with gorgeous mountain views turned out very memorable.

Terrific work - Rev. Rick was so easy to work with and performed a wonderful ceremony that was exactly what we wanted. He puts you at ease and made the ceremony seamless.
We used Cyndi as our photographer, and she did such a great job. We received our photos quickly along with a release for us to have them printed (since we live in another state).
We highly recommend their services!

Very greatful for your services and flexibility
Cindy did an amazing job with the service she provided! Rick was not available and this was very last minute but she came through for us. She married my son Dylan and his beautiful wife Natalie on 2/12/20. She was very professional and gave them a wonderful memory that will last them a lifetime! They were able to get beautiful pictures at the location as well! We could never thank you enough! You were a rock star and did an amazing job. Thank you, thank you, thank you !!! ❤💯

Everything was amazing!
My Husband and I looked for a venue for months and we luckily stumbled upon Cavender Castle. We wanted something sweet and simple. We had our ceremony and a cake and punch reception. Cyndi, Delany, and Rick made everything perfect and went above and beyond. They are all amazing at what they do and go above and beyond! Also our photographer Lindsey was GREAT. We can't wait to see pictures.
