Stunning venue

Skytop was the most beautiful place for our June wedding! We were fortunate that the rain let up right before the ceremony, and the staff quickly stepped in to set up chairs in the Evergreen Garden. Huge thanks to Simone for coordinating event details, running the show the day of, and making our venue visits and tasting so lovely. Thanks to Lori at the flower shop for finding local dahlias and peonies just in time for the weekend, and assembling our stunning bouquets. Lastly, thanks to the staff for their flexibility when my family surprised us with an extra hour for the reception. Skytop will always hold a special place in our hearts and we look forward to returning for anniversary trips to come!

We had our wedding at Skytop on 7/30/16 and words cannot describe how perfect our experience was. Kate and Liz were absolutely incredible. ANYTHING we asked for was provided without a question. Every single person we interacted with at Skytop went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience possible. The beauty of the resort and the service is unparalleled. You almost feel like you are stepping back in time, but in the best way. Everything is updated and beautiful but with an authentic charm, honoring the resort’s heritage. I felt so supported leading up to the wedding and most importantly on our wedding weekend – there was nothing they wouldn’t do for us to help make the weekend perfect. Skytop has quickly become my “happy place” and my husband and I plan to return there every year for our anniversary. I cannot express how grateful we were to have such an incredible wedding venue and I would recommend it over and over again. We are so thankful to Liz, Kate, and all of the staff at Skytop!!

Had my daughter's wedding at Skytop on 7/30/16, and we wish we could relive that day over and over! Was absolutely the best decision to have it there, everyone from the doorman to Kate and Liz, the wedding coordinators, were the best! So friendly and accommodating! I was worrying about the little details, that was for naught, since they were all taken care of!

We got married here this past weekend 12.10.2016 and it could not have been anymore perfect!!! Every detail that I explained to Kate & Emily was executed perfectly!!!! Everyone was impressed with how amazing everything was.. from the decorations to the food. Awesome job Skytop Weddings!

There are not enough words to describe how excellent our experience was at Skytop Lodge. Kate Lewis, our wedding planner, never left a detail out. She responded to all of our questions within a day and was on top of everything throughout the entire planning process. The entire wedding weekend went off without a hitch. Skytop itself is just gorgeous and that is a given. The food was SO delicious and all of our guests said they want to come back. It was so nice to have a place where everyone could stay for the entire weekend and get to know eachother. Skytop accommodated everything we needed. If you are considering Skytop - DO IT!

We had the pleasure of working with Kate Lewis as my daughter and I planned her wedding. From the start, Kate was a pleasure to work with and be with. She is very knowledgeable in all aspects of planning and organizing your special day. Questions were answered promptly, her advice invaluable and her willingness to work with all of our ideas made for a perfect day. We were able to relax and enjoy this day with our daughter, fiancee and family. We will be forever grateful to Kate.

We got married at Skytop on 8/15/15 and it was PERFECT!!! best day ever! Lynda and the team at Skytop were wonderful and made the day seamless . I am pretty type A, and read some older reviews that i didn't love about Skytop, but I have to say, that was not my experience at all. Everything was very professional and Lynda was on top of all the details which allowed me to relax and enjoy the perfect day without stressing over details. Plus, with the lodge, all our friends and family could stay in one place which made for an entire weekend of fun without burdensome logistics. Highly recommend Skytop for your wedding! SO happy thinking back to that day!

We had our wedding here in the fall and it was PERFECT! The people were great, and I was really impressed on how EVERYONE was so accommodating and went above and beyond for us. Kate Lewis was our contact person and she did a great job of communicating with us and being very responsive when we had questions. She got things done quickly and always made a point to reach out to us and check in, even when she was clearly in a busy wedding month!

The place itself is amazing. The food was really great, which was something that we were looking for, and there was so much to do there! Our party stayed there from Thursday through Sunday and we were all wishing we could stay there longer! Maybe the most impressive part of the location is the beautiful gardens which made an amazing backdrop for our photos! It was everything that we could have asked for and all of our guests were really impressed which made us feel great about having our wedding there!

We are so happy that we choose Skytop and would recommend them to anyone!

Our wedding weekend was PERFECT, and that is because EVERYONE at Skytop was absolutely amazing. They made every one of my guests feel fantastic. They can’t stop talking about how wonderful/ great everyone from skytop was. We have been working with Lynda for over 18months now and she was fantastic, amazing, and just the best. I couldn’t have worked with anyone else that well for that long. She was always in contact, checking in, making sure things were done on time. The weekend of the wedding she was running around makings sure everything went off perfectly. The food at the reception was some of the best food I have ever had, and I have heard the same from multiple people that came to the wedding! I highly recommend Skytop to host your wedding/event, they really do everything they can to make your event perfect.

Absolutely beautiful venue and staff was amazing. They made you feel like you were the only person there and attended to your every need. Everything from the flowers to the decor were magical. Best day of my life!!!

This was the most magical place to have a wedding! The fall colors, the atmosphere, the professionalism, the customer service, the venue were over the top. We are so glad we chose this place for our daughters wedding! We keep going back for more special events! Thanks Skytop for lasting memories !!!

I'm one of the lucky Skytop brides! From my first meeting with Kate from the Flower Shop, I knew I was in great hands. Not only did I feel like my ideas were completely understood, but she remained flexible and open to working within our budget (while still giving us the same look we were going for). The flower shop at Skytop Lodge created everything from my bouquet to the centerpieces to the chuppah we were married beneath. I had a vision for my wedding, but they took it to a whole new level! Everything was perfect and our wedding was more beautiful than we could have ever imagined. We heard from so many guests how they were blown away by the decor and all of the beautiful details. Kate, I can't thank you enough for everything you did for us throughout the wedding planning process. We were amazed by your professionalism, talent and passion, and we feel grateful you were there on our wedding day to make sure everything went off without a hitch! I would recommend you guys to everyone.

My husband and I had the most amazing wedding at Skytop! Eydie, Danielle, and Jen, the special events coordinators are AMAZING! From start to finish they were on top of everything and always were available to answer our questions. The planning, the days leading to the wedding, and the day of the wedding were seamless! They really go above and beyond! They are so easy to work with and everything was exactly what I wanted. I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a gorgeous site, helpful and amazing staff, and many different options to make your wedding unique. If this sounds like what you want, Skytop is the place to have your wedding!

Skytop was an amazing venue for our wedding. We were supposed to get married in the garden, but it was drizzling all day. The wedding planners were very helpful with helping me and my bridesmaids make a decision on what to do. They had a backup plan, and it was beautiful. We still got married outside, but on the veranda. None of guests (other than family) knew that the wedding was actually supposed to happen in the garden. Everything went off perfectly that day from the brunch to our vows to the cake and to the partying. We can't go back to celebrate one of our anniversaries with them!

This place is an amazing place in it's self, to have our wedding reception there was just so wonderful. We actually got really lucky because we orignally having our reception somewhere else and like a month before we wanted to change it to Skytop because the place is so beautiful. I contacted the wedding planners there and because they had a cancelation we were able to get in. They say it is usually like a year that you would need to be booked there and we were just lucky. All the staff and wedding planners were so amazing with us and made my husband and I feel so special. The room where the reception was came out so nice and the food was so good. I would have to say that this was the best place and we would recomend this to anyone. We are so happy with how everything came out and are so greatful for everything. Thanks Skytop Staff for everything you truely made our day so special.

What a beautiful and perfect place for our wedding! Everyone did everything possible (and some nearly impossible!) to make our day--and weekend!-- more than we had ever dreamed!! There is no other place like Skytop! And the Skytop staff, especially Edyie, Kate, and Jen, made it all so very relaxing for us! They thought of everything, often before we did!

Our Skytop wedding exceeded all our expectations and was truly a dream wedding for me. Every aspect of the day was executed flawlessly and with careful attention to detail. Although on the pricey side, I feel it was all well worth it for the outcome we had for our wedding day.

The gorgeous decor of Skytop for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception was like nothing else we found in the area. It was truly a unique experience for us and our guests.

The flowers we received through the Skytop flower shop were absolutely stunning! The flower shop definitely succeeded at producing my vision exactly, and added details that made it even more wonderful.

The food was delicious. I was told by numerous guests that our cake was the best cake they had ever tasted!
The staff was extremely professional and helpful at all times of the day and night.

We continue to receive compliments from guests on the wedding and we could not have been happier with the quality we received from SKytop. The memories are priceless!

I can't say enough good things about Skytop. For the price, the quality of my wedding was incredible! The staff was wonderful - always prompt and kind when answering my questions. The grounds are incredible, so even without my flower budget (which was over $10K), you could have a wonderful wedding because everything is so pretty even when it isn't decorated.

Having our wedding at Skytop Lodge was one of the best decisions we made during our wedding planning. Eydie and Jen were wonderful to work with, and were able to guide us through the entire process. Because everything is done in-house, including food, cake, flowers, decor, etc, everything seemed so easy, and I very rarely felt stressed. Our guests raved about the beautiful venue that we had chosen, and most guests came for the whole weekend to enjoy all of the activities at the Lodge. The only downside was that it is difficult to get to for out of town guests. If you can, I highly recommend providing some sort of transportation from an airport to make it easier for guests flying in.

Lori is amazing

From the beginning, Lori was a great person to work with. She e-mailed me back right away with quotes about every picture that I sent to her and was willing to meet with us to help us figure out what we wanted for centerpieces. We didn't know upfront that there was a service fee on top of the prices quoted until we received the invoice right before our wedding, but it was worth it to not have to worry about anything on our big day. Not only did Lori make sure the floral arrangements we wanted looked amazing, but she also put out the fabric accents and candles that we had bought to make sure that everything looked great. I would highly recommend working with her - she was the easiest and most organized person to work with at Skytop :)

We had our wedding at Skytop on 11/19/2016 and it was honestly the most beautiful weekend and best day I ever could have imagined. The team at Skytop are true professionals and really helped my pinterest board come to life. I am very detail oriented and the team did not miss a step through every phone call or email. We planned a Friday night welcome party bonfire and it was so special with a smores and white chairs to give it the elegant feel. The Sunday brunch was, of course, amazing and the food there is wonderful. The wedding day went off without a hitch (honestly, nothing went wrong). the venue is breathtaking and we were able to get most of my family pictures outside. Planning with the team at Skytop was fun and stress-free. They were able to keep to a budget and still make the day gorgeous. Skytop was a good choice for us because we wanted to be away from the city but still have an elegant (black tie) wedding. I would definitely recommend.

Skytop is a beautiful place to have a wedding any time of year, but our December wedding was perfect timing for a White Christmas setting. Everyone was so easy to work with and very professional. Our cake was delicious and the flowers were outstanding. Our ceremony decor was spectacular.

This venue was amazing. I strongly recommend it to any bride. They helped me coordinate a wedding in four months. Although there were two other weddings that day, I was made to feel as though I was the only one. We had no complaints about the entire day! Absolutely the best memories!

Skytop was already an special place for my family since we had been summer vacationing there my whole life, and my fiancé and I had spent summer weekends there early on in our relationship. Getting married there was an obvious choice for us, but we couldn't have asked for a better venue and overall experience! We were all extremely impressed with Simone and her team at Skytop. From the food to flowers, every detail was even above and beyond what we had imagined and we all felt very at ease on the big day with Simone and her capable team taking charge! If we could go back and do it all over again we wouldn't change a thing. One thing to be aware of, the nightly rate at the Lodge is on the spendy side but we offered our guests a few other local B&B options and ended up setting up an account with a local cab company to taxi guests at the end of the night and everyone seemed to find a place to stay in their price range.

Our initial experience with Skytop towards the beginning of our planning was a bit rocky. There were some changes around the department so who our coordinator was kept changing. After not hearing from anyone for months, we finally ended up with a coordinator from the department who knew how to get things done. In the end our day was everything we could have hoped for and people are still telling us how great our wedding was. It was a long journey, but completely worth it.

The Flower Shop at Skytop was AMAZING. I probably could have gone cheaper if I wasn't required to use them. However, everything was so perfect that in hindsight this was definitely the way to go. I gave them a picture of the bouquet I wanted cut out from a magazine and they exceeded expectations and made it even nicer than the one in the picture. All blooms were full, fresh, and amazing quality. Using them also guaranteed that if I was not happy they were on premise to fix or improve anything. There were so many behind the scenes and details that I didn't know about or realize but that is as it should be. THANKS!

Skytop is a pricey venue but we thought it was worth every penny. They were super helpful in the weeks leading up to the wedding. The Friday before the wedding I was able to just drop off all of the things that I needed to bring and leave it up to them. On the day of they were super organized and made sure we got where we needed to be. They were still keeping me on top of things at 10pm when we were finally cleaning out the room that we had had all day to get ready in. They made sure that all of our belongings, luggage and gifts made their way up to our comped suite.

Love Skytop! Couldnt have had a more perfect wedding! The atmosphere is beautiful like a castle, the food was raved about by everyone, and the staff was extremely professional and efficient. My only issue is that you have to use their florist (which did a phenomenal job) but a little pricey. Also trying to contact them for reservations was a little bit of a hassle getting transfered back and forth, had to be persistant. Staff was very friendly and helpful. A few of my guests did say that their rooms were smaller than some of the others and for the price to stay it seemed unfair (2 people in a huge room, 3 people with a roll away bed crammed into a twin bedroom). I still loved everything, and am excited to go back with my family for anniversaries. Great for couples and families of all ages!

Thank You Skytop & Simone!

Skytop is a special place to our family as we used to have family reunions there when I was younger. Fast forward, I had my wedding there July 2021 after a Covid postponement in 2020. A big thank you to Skytop and Simone for making our dream wedding happen, we are truly thrilled with how it turned out. It's really a magical place and doesn't need a lot of "dressing up", the beauty is already there. We had to move our ceremony & reception in-doors as it rained, but their back-up options are solid! Not sure how Simone handles all the events there, but she gets it done! We highly recommend Skytop!

We had our wedding at Skytop Lodge in August. Leading up to the even there was some confusion on confirming some items like the menu, the number of guests, and final bill. Once that was settled and we were at the hotel for the wedding everything was great!

The food was great all weekend, flowers were amazing, and everyone was professional making sure every little detail was taken care of. We are still receiving compliments from all of our guests. There were some reviews saying that the flowers were very expensive and you are forced to use their flower shop, but we feel the price was very fair and it made it easier that the hotel did it all.

We highly recommend Skytop Lodge for anyone looking for a great place for your wedding!

Skytop is beautiful and our wedding was amazing. I would definitely recommend skytop as a wedding venue. We had a fall wedding and the scenery was perfect! Everyone loved the food especially during the cocktail hour. The only issue I had was that it took a long time for people to return my phone calls especially in the few weeks before the wedding. Which was very frustrating! Because you always have a million questions. Everyone was always very nice and professional though.

While we didn't ultimately end up choosing Skytop, I did like the options they presented us. We were aiming for a smaller wedding, so they showed us some of the dining rooms (there are several) as well as a lake side cabin space that was very scenic for a smaller wedding. We thought that was a really solid option for us, but ultimately they were our second choice and we went with another venue. Definitely a great option if you want to have a lake side ceremony in the poconos.

lovely setting like a fairy tale .. very pricey and make sure you have enough people to fill their requirements

The grounds at Skytop is beautiful. The food was amazing. The only down fall is that you must use thier florist.

Beautiful Venue .. Terrible Coordinator

I had my wedding in June of last year at Skytop! The planning process was easy, simple and well communicated. The day of however was terribly executed by the event coordinator Simone. She was not seen at all until about 1 hour before the ceremony, she did not communicate with the bride at all about decor, timing etc. When my bridesmaids went to find her she gave them a complete and utter attitude that she couldn’t be bothered and proceeded to ask them “do you think this is my first time doing a wedding” when we simply asked for some communication. Next was the ceremony, the reason I chose Skytop was specifically the garden as that was where I wanted to get married. The day was 40% chance of rain but I explained I really wanted it like this so she proceeded to execute. As the ceremony started it began to mist rain a little to which Simone proceeded to tell my guests what an “utter disaster” my ceremony was. She was then not seen the entire night until dinner. She failed to coordinate anything the day of. Not the ceremony not the cake cutting( we didn’t even have this moment as she never put it on the schedule or failed to coordinate it in. In regards to the venue and the rest of the staff they were wonderful and helpful, but I would highly suggest getting your own coordinator for the day of, as she made it a very stressful day.

Skytop Lodge is a beautiful venue and they have a lot of experience providing weddings. And I mean a lot of weddings. My fear in booking this place came true - there were maybe 5 or 6 weddings the weekend of ours. Some people might not mind that, but if you want to be sure that your wedding will be special, then you may want to think twice before booking with Skytop. We booked a year in advance and things went smoothly at the beginning. The coordinators try to be more than helpful and reassure you that everything will be perfect. However, in the weeks before our wedding, it became clear that not all weddings get the same treatment. Our coordinator let us fall behind on major planning components, even payments, and was still asking me questions the day before the wedding. They also let us schedule the rehearsal during the seating for another wedding. Needless to say, we were frantically rushed through it, which was not only embarrassing, but left us feeling unprepared for the actual ceremony. They also neglected other details that put stress on me all weekend. The most unnerving was the multiple e-mails I received throughout the weekend about the bill for the rehearsal dinner, even though we had made it clear the entire year that a family member was in charge of handling all the bills. Thankfully, the day of the wedding ran smoothly and our guests enjoyed themselves. I wasn’t happy with the set up of the cocktail hour or our décor items, but it ended up being the least of my concerns. We also couldn’t take pictures in the gardens because there were other weddings going on and it was “interesting” running into other brides all day. The coordinators did seem to try their best, but if I had to point to one major flaw, it would be that they overload themselves with weddings. I’m not saying you can’t have a beautiful, stress-free wedding there; however, it isn't a sure thing. In my opinion, lack of attention to detail flawed what could have been a perfect weekend.

For the money that we paid, the quality left something to be desired. I did minimal flowers because I don't like when you HAVE TO use a venue's in-house personnel. The colors were wrong- burnt orange does not look like pink in any light. They were responsive to fixing the problem but if the proposal said burnt orange then why was pink used? They told us that orange flowers are hard to get. (Then why was my bouquet florist able to nail the colors perfectly?) I even told them I was up for using any kind of flower as long as we could get the colors we wanted. I used a different florist for my bouquet and the difference in the quality of the flowers (especially the roses) is like night & day. I really wish I could've used my florist for the reception flowers. I wouldn't really recommend using them but you have to if you have your event there. My advice, use lots of candles

Let me first start by saying the grounds are gorgeous, and the hotel staff was awesome, especially Fernando! The food was excellent, and the flowershop exceeded my expectations. If I was rating them on the special events staff alone; however, I wouldn't give them a single star. I was angry, frustrated, and disappointed. My coordinator changed multiple times, I had questions that were never answered, promises unfulfilled, and wrong information. I was told I couldn't use the hotel shuttle to transport us from the house on the property we were renting, spent $800 to move the bridal party, and found out the day before from the front desk I could have used the shuttle for free. Our rehearsal time was changed 1 month before the wedding even though we already had our rehearsal dinner and transportation planned around the time they had assigned us in the beginning. Our complimentary room was in the wrong building. The hotel staff took care of the situation, but upon arriving at our room our luggage and wedding gifts were sitting in the hallway. Our cake and champagne was not in the room like they advertise, and we wouldn't have even received our cake if we hadn't hunted it down from the front desk at the main lodge. Paper work was wrong time and time again, and the disorganization was evident. That is just the tip of the iceberg. Think long and hard before booking. To me it wasn't worth the stress, By the day of the wedding I felt sick to my stomach every time the phone rang or I received an e-mail from them.
