We love Mike!

I recently had the pleasure of working with Mike, who truly exceeded all expectations. Not only did he provide incredible music and entertainment throughout the night, but he also took on the role of wedding coordinator, supplied a fantastic Photo Booth, and provided stunning lighting for the venue. Mike's dedication and commitment to making our special day unforgettable were truly remarkable.

From the moment we started planning, Mike went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was taken care of. He was always available to answer our questions, offer guidance, and provide valuable suggestions. His expertise and knowledge in wedding planning made the entire process less stressful and more enjoyable.

On the day of the wedding, Mike truly shined. He seamlessly transitioned from coordinating the ceremony to keeping the dance floor alive all night long. The music selection was phenomenal, catering to the diverse tastes of our guests and ensuring that everyone had a great time. His energy and enthusiasm were infectious, creating a vibrant and joyful atmosphere.

The most attentive DJ you can get

Mike/SkyMike did such an exceptional job at our wedding!! He was so involved and on top of everything! He took the time to get to know us and our family so he could introduce everyone properly. I didn’t realize how important a DJ was until we hired Mike. He helped us pull everything together and timed everything beautifully. The crowd loved him! 100/10 recommend!! We are so happy we hired him.

Amazing and FUN!

Best dj ever

SkyMike honestly was the best DJ I could have ever dreamed of hiring. We interviewed several and he was the easiest to talk to, the most honest, and the most helpful. Mike was there for me as a bride through every step of planning.

At our wedding he had our crowd laughing and dancing their hearts out. To this day our guests still talk about how amazing he was. Ive been complimented by so many guests that our wedding was the most fun they have had in years.

Sky Mike worked his tail off to provide an outstanding wedding for us.

Between the rain, then the heat wave, to our crazy fun guests, he was on top of it.

You won't regret hiring him, but you'll regret that you didn't if you pass him up.

Sky Mike, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being so amazing. WE are so proud we hired you and wish we could do our wedding over and over every year, just to have a blast again.

When you hire him, you get him... not only as a vendor but a friend!

We hired Mike Valdez of Skymike Houston as our DJ/Emcee at first. From our first communication with him, we knew he’s gonna be our DJ. He’s very professional, offered help with anything with our wedding preparation (even not related to DJ and entertainment) and was fun to work with. Then, three weeks before our wedding something major change happened and Mike stepped in as our Day of Coordinator and I could say it’s one of the best decision we made. Not only his DOC rate was best rate for our budget but we also gained a friend in him. He’s been there anytime and any day ready to answer any questions and concerns we have and do anything we can think for our wedding. He made sure we don’t worry about anything. He went above and beyond his role as DOC to make sure we got everything we needed for a successful wedding. He constantly texted or emailed us to make sure everything is going well. As a DJ/Emcee, Mike rocks! Everybody had been telling us how good our DJ was. Even the next day people were still complementing that we got a really good DJ. He knows what songs to play to make the crowd go and have fun. He happily played songs that we and our guests requested. He managed to search and play Filipino songs that we requested. Our family and friends were pleased to hear those music. It was really great having Mike Valdez as our DOC and DJ/Emcee. He’s one of the people we got good connections with during this special part of our lives. Thank you for everything Mike!

Awesome DJ

I left choosing a DJ way too late and was worried that I wouldn't be able to find one that I liked. I really lucked out with Mike! He's super personable, has a broad knowledge of music, and has extensive experience with managing wedding timelines. I felt like he really understood what I wanted, and was so helpful during the planning process. Houston had some serious flooding the week before my wedding and Mike was sweet enough to reach out and check on how I was doing and to reassure me that the weather would be perfect for my day (it was)! The day went perfectly, and Mike helped keep everything on schedule. He even took the time to figure out exactly how fast I needed to walk to reach my husband at the crescendo of my bridal march (and then made sure my dad knew too, so that he could keep me in check)! Also, I was worried nobody would dance, but he managed to get them out onto the floor! I would absolutely recommend him!

He rocks!

I cannot say enough great things about Mike. He literally saved my wedding from becoming horrible. (read my review on Spinelli's). The manager of my venue was absolutely rude and very disrespectful and Mike still made my wedding rock. you can tell he loves what he does. He is also your coordinator and is available to you 24/7 with any questions or concerns you have. I've messaged him at 3am with concerns and he put them to rest. Brides he is invaluable! Thank you Mike for rocking our wedding!!

Skymike is nothing short of amazing!

He went above and beyond by getting to know us personally, our story, our family members, and the wedding party to get a feel of our vibe. Poor guy climbed up and down a hill to carry his equipment to the ceremony site! He is dedicated definitly proved to be very strong! I got so many compliments from all ages and every age group was out on the floor dancing the ENTIRE night! I HIGHLY recommend Skymike, you will not be disappointed!

Y'all. Mike was incredible. He worked seamlessly with our planner to make sure that everything went off without a hitch. He was so much fun and our guests loved him. My husband and I love that he took the time before the wedding to get to know us-- every single song at our wedding fit our personality and was absolutely PERFECT. It didnt feel like a cookie cutter wedding playlist- it felt unique to our style, and that is because Mike is so thoughtful about his work! We HIGHLY recommend him! One of the best vendor decisions we made!

Hello! Last year my daughter and future son-in-law decided to get married in August 2017. Their jobs kept them traveling, so I was the one doing most of the organizing. On my list was choosing the DJ. Skymike was recommended to us. I chose him and it was a great decision! He and I met several times in person and talked on the phone a number of times. When my daughter and her fiancée finally landed in Houston a month before the wedding, Skymike was very flexible in scheduling time to meet with them and finalize the details. His enthusiasm and knowledge of “all things wedding” is awesome. The wedding went off without a hitch! From the ceremony at 6pm, to the “first” dances, the toasts, the speeches, the packed dance floor the whole evening, to the departure of the newlyweds at midnight to the song “Great Day for a White Wedding” by Billy Idol. (That was my only song request.) AHHHHH, what a perfect day! Thanks Mike.

What can we say? WOW! Mike was awesome! He totally got us and what we wanted for our wedding reception. We did not want the "typical" cheesy wedding DJ and Mike was definitely NOT typical or cheesy. He was all class and was a great MC for the reception. His music selections were perfect and he kept the party going all the way until the end of the night. We were concerned about having the right mix of music that would get guests onto the dance floor, and Mike handled it expertly. Thanks to Mike, our guests had a great time and danced throughout the entire event. Again, WOW! We are looking forward to working with Mike again for future events.

The DJ made our wedding complete!!! From the initial consultation until the lights went out, Mike was in constant communication, made me feel super confident that he understood my vision and pulled off the unique style my husband and I were going for. Skymike was my DJ for my September wedding. Mike helped my wedding day go smoothly and my reception SO MUCH FUN! The months before the wedding Mike was sending text/emails to get details from me. Skymike is the best. Bottom line. He worked with us beforehand on making sure he understood our wants and needs, and never pressured us into anything we didn't want. He was always available for questions and constantly checked in with us to make sure we didn't need anything. At the event, he played to the room and knew exactly how to get people on the dance floor and keep them entertained. He even had some ideas we never would have thought of that made our wedding go more smooth. On top of that, he is flawless on the microphone, which is an absolutely underrated part of a wedding DJ. If you are thinking about using Skymike, stop thinking and book him before someone else does.

I looked on WeddingWire to see some reviews of DJ in my area and noticed SkyMike had some amazing reviews. We met at a coffee shop and spent over an hour discussing details of our wedding. SkyMike went over pricing (he's super affordable) and asked many detailed questions (things you wouldn't think about until the last minute). SkyMike was very accessible and accommodating to my last minute changes/details. If you want someone to just play music/push buttons for your ceremony/reception, hire someone else.... If you want your ceremony/reception to flow smoothly, and keep the party alive, I highly recommend SkyMike!

I belong to a square dance group that has an annual Christmas Party. Prior to finding Sky Mike, we went through a different DJ every year, trying to find one who was entertaining as well as just playing the music. This December will be Mike's 6th year DJing for our party...needless to say we've found someone we truly enjoy, which is not easy for this group! Mike is so easy to work with and knows how to "mix it up" to make sure everyone is involved and having fun.

"Some" people say I am a very, very difficult fellow to please.. I'm not sure of that label but let me tell you, "Sky Mike" was a primary reason why my daughter's wedding was so successful. We had various age groups in attendance and he had a knack for knowing what to play and when to play it...to keep the party going...full throttle!

Mike made our reception so fun! He is able to read the crowd really well and play music that would get everyone dancing. He was very responsive and easy to work with, and was flexible throughout the entire process. I'm the Mother of the Bride and Skymike was DJ at my cousins wedding. Knowing that my daughter would be getting married within the year I passed his contact information to her. Needless to say, Skymike went above and beyond perfecting the perfect setting for my daughter and son-in-laws wedding day. Although, my daughter was in charge of everything, she kept me in the loop of how plans were going. The day of the wedding was upon us and Skymike arrived several hours early to set up for cocktail hour and the reception time that followed. We had given him a playlist and he was spot on with keeping all our guests engaged in the moment. Lets just say it turns out we are an 80's family and Skymike had to shut us down. We would have danced all night! He is extremely professional and personable. I would absolutely recommend him for anyone needing a DJ for an event.

I can't believe that I am just now writing my review for Mike!! He was an absolute rockstar and blessing to our wedding!! There was literally almost zero need for a wedding coordinator/planner as he handled a LOT of the planning. We received Mike's information from a cousin of mine that had used him at her wedding and reached out to him. From the moment we made contact planning was a breeze and actually FUN! Mike actually brought up several points that my husband and I had not even thought of. He was very easy to get in touch with and ALWAYS insisted that he was available for anything that we may have needed...and he meant it! When it came to the day of, Mike arrived early and was full of energy!! I didn't even worry about the audio for the reception as I knew that he would have it covered and he did. We had told Mike that we wanted a lot of throw-back, 80's pop music and that is what he played. He played music in-tune with what our guests were feeling on the dancefloor. All in all, we could not have asked for a better DJ for our wedding. He is worth every penny!!

I can truly say that all of the 5 stars on Skymike's page are 100 percent accurate! Mike went above and beyond to make the music at my wedding perfect. When we first met with him, he not only wanted to know about our taste in music, but about our families, lives, and even hobbies. He always let me know that he would be available 24/7 to answer any questions I might have or to add a song to the wedding playlist ideas! I gave him a lot of songs ideas and he let me know what might work for dancing and what might work better in other areas. I even had guests compliment me on the music choices, which was very cool...but I owe a lot of it to Skymike! During the wedding itself, he was very fast in his set up (which was needed because of my venue's timeline), and I noticed him helping out with many other things besides just DJ-ing! He is an all around amazing DJ and got a lot of my guests to REALLY dance!!! I would recommend highly to anyone looking! Mike is also a really nice guy and super fun to talk to! Thanks Skymike!!!!! I'm so glad Skymike was the D.J at my wedding! I couldn't have asked for anyone better. He was so understanding and helpful during the planning process and made himself available whenever we needed him. It started raining on my wedding day (I was having an outdoor ceremony) and he stepped up and helped change everything last minute so I could have a beautiful wedding in the reception venue. Skymike was the absolute BEST DJ and coordinator! His organization helped me not stress about the details, because he had everything timed out perfectly! He was super flexible when meeting to plan, and always made me feel like he was available for anything at any time. Even though I only booked him to coordinate at the reception, he still came to help at the rehearsal and church ceremony. And as far as his DJ-ing, my crowd never sat down! The reception was such a blast that my husband and I did a fake exit, just so we could get back to the party! I would highly recommend Skymike to anyone!

Mike was, bar-none, one of the best decisions we made. My fiance and I met Mike early-on, and I knew immediately he would be the perfect DJ for us. His extensive experience coupled with his ability to read our crowd was fantastic. He was great with all the classics that we definitely wanted, but also played the perfect amount of our type of hip-hop and alternative music. We even had a very random request which he handled flawlessly. I know he took time to specifically prepare for our wedding, and responded immediately when we had questions or qualms about our plans. During the actual reception, he ran the show flawlessly, and I loved the funny comments that would come out of no-where. He was funny, charming, on-point and everything went off without a hitch. I would recommend Mike to anyone, and if you're lucky enough to live in the Houston area, don't miss the chance to work with him.

We couldn't have asked for a better DJ than Mike. He ends every conversation with "i'm available 24 hours a day" and while some people may say that, he REALLY means it. He was in constant contact with us throughout the whole planning process and even helped us plan a lot of the aspects of the wedding which was FAR above and beyond what anyone could ask of their DJ. As for the day of, it couldn't been any better. We had countless people tell us it was the most fun wedding they've ever been to, and i attribute a big part of that to the fact that mike played music that got everyone from my young cousins to my 80 year old grandparents on the dance floor the WHOLE wedding (we even had people dancing on the sides of the dance floor it was so packed). I really cant compliment him enough on how great a job he did for us and how happy we were with everything.

SkyMike was so great to work with! He was very helpful and made planning my wedding so much easier. On the actual day, I didn't have to worry about anything because he had everything running smoothly. SkyMike was a pleasure to work with! He was very attentive and committed to my husband and I and our needs for our wedding. He was literally available to us day or night (I called him in crisis around midnight one night and he was there) and worked so hard coordinating other vendors and making schedules for us. Then, on the actual wedding day, his DJing rocked the house! Family members known as "bores" were up cutting rugs and singing along at the top of their lungs! We gave him complete control of the playlist and every song was a hit and delivered at exactly the right moment. He even picked a final slow dance for us before my husband and I were sent off and there wasn't a dry eye in the house (including us!). We received several comments on the day from friends and family telling us how awesome he was and what great music we had chosen. It was amazing and we love him so much!

There aren't enough compliments that I can give for this guy! HE WAS AMAZING! Not only did he do a great job with the music on my wedding day, this guy was THERE for me. He was in constant contact from about 9 months out. If I needed him, he answered or called me right back. He helped ease my mind on a lot of issues. If I needed him at 5am, he answered the phone. Even though we didn't pay him to, he basically helped with my coordination and helped plan everything! The day of my wedding, my coordinator refused to show up so what did he do? He grabbed the reigns and made the day more perfect than ever. All of my guests still talk about how fun he was and how they loved that he was a part of the wedding. They loved how involved he was and how funny he was. And his value? OMG! It's awesome! If you need a great dj...you NEED this guy! He's awesome and I will definitely use him again for any of my party needs!

Mike is incredible! He bent backwards and forwards for us to help us plan a successful and less stressful wedding! He was very organized and we could tell he's passionate about what he does when it comes to helping the bride out especially! Everyone at our wedding loved our DJ (if they didn't mention how great he was, they were probably jealous, haha) and one of our guests even said she's been to so many weddings, but our DJ was the best she's seen!

He tried his very best to keep the crowd going. I was disappointed that not too many guests were on the dance floor (not the DJ's fault), but Mike still kept everyone entertained and happy regardless.

Oh Sky Mike where should I begin? He went above and beyond to make us happy. Through the whole process, he always made sure the bride was the number one priority...he even told my groom, as well as the bridal party, to not let me out of their sight! He was always available when we needed him, very good communication, whether by email or by phone. Sky Mike told me to call anytime I needed him and he returned phone calls right away if he was working. He also helped us find the right vendors that were within our budget, giving us many choices. As a DJ he asked us to make a list of songs that we wanted to play or he has a most requested list that you can also browse. He helped so much in planning our special day and assuring me as a bride, that everything was going to be wonderful, which it was! My husband surprised me with a Photobooth and Mike knew and helped him find a reasonably priced one, so when I asked about a mysterious email that he had sent on our timeline, he kept his little secret, and I was so very happy about my big surprise at our reception! That's another big thing he did for us, we had a timeline that he sent to our bridal party, all of our vendors, cakes, flowers, photography, etc to make sure everyone knew what they were doing. He is very energetic and willing to go that extra mile to make your day go smoothly and be the fairy tale that all of you dream it will be. We cannot thank him enough for everything he did! Our family, friends, and wedding guests still rave about his performance. He got just as excited as we did about our Grand March, which was awesome because I knew he was there to have fun and make sure we were having fun, not just for the money. He was reasonably priced and an unbelieveable person to hire for your wedding!!

Mike definitely went above and beyond the duties of a DJ. His communication is superb. He made absolutely certain from the day we met him, until the end of the wedding, that the bride was number one priority. HIRE THIS MAN! NOW! We were struggling to find a dj for our quickly approaching wedding and heard about Mike from a friend, and boy, are we glad we did! Not only does he have an amazing, genuine personality, but he was very professional about everything. He helped us plan out all of our details and helped us find great deals on other "extras" for our wedding, like up-lights. The communication was great and he was always eager to help us through any problem that came up. Oh yeah, and he was an amazing, energetic DJ, too. He knows how to get the crowd moving on the dance floor and he is willing to play just about whatever you like. He went above and beyond what we expected a typical dj to do and his price was very reasonable. We can't thank him enough for helping us create our special day and making it so memorable.

WOW. That is the word for Mike. He did so much. I can't begin to tell you all he did but I will try. I am the mother of he bride and Mike was the big hit at the wedding. Our wedding coordinator quit the day before the wedding, and Skymike saved the day. He helped organize everything, He was energenic and had everybody dancing. He took control when he had to keep the reception running smoothly. He planned the time of the events and always kept us informed of everything he did. He was well worth every cent and more. Skymike did a wonderful job making my wedding day as special as it could be. He is very energetic and spontaneous. As a DJ he has wonderful qualities you want to get the crowd on the dance and never leave. Skymike did more then what was asked of him. Our venue coordinator quit the day of my wedding and Skymike stepped up to keep the activities moving along. I would never have known that lady was not there anymore it was not for Skymike. I would definitely recommend Skymike for anyone looking for their guest to have a great dancing time and value more then what he charges. I just want to Thank Skymike for all the work and effort he did to make my wedding day as wonderful as it was. Couldn't have done it without him!

Sky Mike was absolutely amazing!!! We have had so many friends and family come up to us and say that we had the best wedding they have been to and that was all because of Sky Mike!! Sky Mike did an absolutely amazing job for us. Not only did his fun style match ours perfectly, he provided complete security that there would be no hick-ups and that everything would be fantastic. He allowed my wife (now) and I to not have to worry about anything, which is ultimately what you want for your wedding day. He has an awesome personality and is very upbeat, not to mention, he played the best music!!! If you want to party, Sky Mike is your guy! Although, I can definitely see him being able to mold into the style of your liking, as he is a professional, and he is all about making you happy.

My daughter Vanessa found SkyMike. She, her fiance and I met with him and I immediately loved him. He instantly becomes your best friend and makes you feel like you are his one and only client when in fact he has many.
Vanessa told him her vision of what she wanted for her wedding and he brought it to life. He takes care of everything thing you need to make your dream wedding from linens, table and chair rentals, catering, photography, etc.
I was so thankful my daughter found him.
I look at the wedding pictures and remember what a beautiful day it was and everything SkyMike did to make it happen.
If you are lucky enough to have SkyMike for your event you will not find a better person for the job. He is attentive to your every need no matter how big or small.

SkyMike was WONDERFUL! We met with him beforehand to discuss music preferences - he was incredibly courteous, not like other DJs who don't want to discuss music tastes and claim they know what you need... He communicated with us several times before the wedding with emails & phone to make sure we were all on the same page. PLUS - he was EVER so much better than our wedding coordinator for the actual wedding and reception!!! Super friendly and professional - many of my guests commented on the "awesome DJ." So, don't let this one get away - you won't regret it!!

All I can say is THANK YOU SO MUCH SKYMIKE!!!!!!!!! We met with Mike a few months before our wedding and after a short meeting we knew we wanted to work with him. Mike is so much more than a DJ. He will help you with the planning and the coordination and give you invaluable advice and suggestions to make your big day outstanding.

I didn't realise how lucky I was to have contracted him until a few days before the wedding - I did not have a wedding coordinator and there were so many things I had not thought about! He stepped in to help out. He literally works around the clock if he has to and picks up your call 24/7...he is very professional and dedicated and makes you feel very comfortable and confident and in good hands. I didn't worry for a second that something would go wrong - I knew that with him everything would work out the way I wanted. And it did.

I had a lot of special requests because my wedding was intercultural and interfaith. Mike went out of his way to reach out to our parents and bridal party. He practiced how to say everyone's names rights. He found all the music I wanted and the party rocked!

I only have praise for Skymike and I am so lucky to have worked with him!!!

I consider myself so blessed to have worked with Mike. He was instrumental in making my big day work out.

We can't begin to say enough about how great Mike was. In fact, I'm not sure our wedding would have come together the way it did without him. He DJ'd both our ceremony and reception and also helped us with all of the planning up to the day of the wedding. He even came to our rehearsal and made sure that people were in the correct place at the correct time. So many of our guests commented on how fabulous and fun our reception was. He kept people dancing until the very end. On top of everything else he was incredibly affordable. We would have gladly paid double what he charged to have his services.

I am a vendor that recently worked on a wedding with Mike. He provided the Wedding Planning and DJ services for our mutual client. His organizational skills were surpassed only by his enormously cheery attitude! He made sure everything was perfect to the letter of the bride's wishes. He is encredibly easy to work with and can handle anything that is thrown in his direction...and always with a smile! SkyMike (Mike) DJ'd my daughter's wedding this past July and did an outstanding job! He has great prices and is willing and able to go far beyond just DJing to make your wedding a success and exactly what you or your daughter dreamed of. He is very easy to work with and thinks about things that you wouldn't and keeps everyone prepared and on the same page from the vendors to the wedding party. Everything was perfect, which is great when you have a daughter who gets stressed if it's not. He and his family have become like a part of our family and we have tremendous gratitude for us. He made our wedding day aaaaamazzzingg! Im so glad I chose him as my dj. He treated me like a royal princess and bent over backwards for us!! I couldnt imagine a better dj! Mike is more than just a great DJ. He became a friend when we needed one the most. He took all the stress out of our wedding, shouldering it upon himself so that we could enjoy the wedding. We didn't have to worry about a dull moment or anything that popped up because Mike's innate ability to read the crowd kept the party smoothly running along. I know he put a tremendous effort into it, but every time a problem came up or we had another request, none of the stress was on his face and he would make it happen. No problem was too big for Skymike and we were able to enjoy every minute of our wedding and reception. Without Mike, there would have been many mistakes and a ton of disorganization. We are glad we met Mike and encourage anyone feeling a little overwhelmed or looking for a DJ to hire Mike and never look back.

Sky Mike was the DJ and Day of Coordinator for my wedding last April. He was by far one of the greatest vendors we had!!! From the day he first met with us until the exit from our wedding, I could not have asked for more. He went above and beyond on everything, and worked SO incredibly hard to make sure our day went exactly as we had envisioned. He kept the party going all night, and made sure I was up dancing all night. And even though he set our grooms cake on fire, and almost set off the fire alarm (ask him THAT story..haha), the party went on, and I wouldnt trade a thing! He is worth way more than he charges, and I would definitely reccomend hiim to anyone looking for a wedding DJ!

Great experience with Mike and our DJ, Gary. They helped make our 50th anniversary
celebration a hugs success. We had chosen some tunes from the '40's and one of our

Series of unfortunate events

Not thrilled, many songs requested not played, forgot so many details, ruined the surprise of my dress to my partner, and didn’t start working with us till the week of the wedding. Just the vibe was bad all night. Maybe better for older people.
