We can't say enough good things about Skyler. You just have to look at a handful of photos to know that he is an amazing photographer who can capture and bring out the essence of the most important moments of your wedding day. He clearly knows his craft and loves what he does. Not only is he incredibly talented, but also he's just a super fun guy who is easy to work with and a joy to be around.
On the logistics end, during the time leading up to the wedding, he took time to chat with us multiple times to get a sense of our vision. He's super easy-going and let us dictate the vibe of the day. On the day of the wedding, he arrived early and prepared along with his 2nd shooter. They worked seamlessly throughout the day and even set up special lights to capture us jumping in the pool. Family and bridal portraits can be awkward to choreograph, but he was able to compose the shots we wanted in a relaxed way. Within a few days after the wedding, Skyler had prepared some highlights of the wedding for us to share. When the full collection was done a few weeks later, we couldn't be happier.
Bottom line, Skyler was one of our and our guest's favorite vendors. Not only is he a great photographer, but also he is a great person. If you are considering him, you should definitely go with him! -

Highly Recommend!
Skyler came highly recommended from a friend who is a professional photographer and we couldn’t have been happier. He was professional, organized, creative, sentimental, the list goes on. He went above and beyond getting to know us on both a personal and professional level. One of our favorite moments from the wedding day was during portraits with Skyler before our cocktail hour. I think he could tell we were holding onto a little wedding day stress. He instructed us to take a photo forehead to forehead with our eyes closed. Despite my husband and I not being used to these types of photos, Skyler turned it into a sort of meditation. He told us to relax our bodies and take this moment to ease our breathing and soak in the beautiful day and the vows we just took. After about 30 seconds, we opened our eyes feeling refreshed and grateful for his calming presence. This also happens to be one of our favorite photos.
We will cherish these photos and memories forever - thank you Skyler! -

My fiancé and I got engaged mid-pandemic and have decided to wait to tie the knot until it is safe for our loved ones to gather together, which means we'll be having a long engagement, to say the least. This also means we'll be missing out on some of the more typical celebratory events, like an engagement party, and the things that we are able to do, like engagement photos, are even more significant than they might have been before. It was very important to me that this experience was beyond special, and that the photographer who we hired was able to capture the magic of this time in our lives accurately. Skyler Greene was more than just a photographer. He brought joy and laughter into the experience, all while remaining professional and keeping us comfortable in both our poses and dispositions. Not only that, but his flexibility really went above and beyond. The original date for the shoot was on a Sunday, and as the week progressed and rain appeared in the forecast, I was (understandably) worried that we'd need to postpone the shoot. Skyler, however, let me know that he would be happy to keep the day before open and we could go for whichever day had better weather, or postpone if necessary. We ultimately shot on Saturday, and had a stunning sunset as the cherry on top of our amazing afternoon spent wandering around Golden Gate Park with Skyler. He was realistic with the day's timeline, not overbooking our locations or cutting short any time spent at others. He even helped me style the shoot ahead of time, making himself available for outfit consultation as I shopped for my wardrobe. And finally, the photos that we received from him were so incredibly beautiful - so much better than I could have ever imagined. Thank you, Skyler, for capturing the magic of our engagement! -

Talent, Skill and a Great Listener
We challenged Skyler to shoot our wedding in February of 2020 in which we were married outside at the chilly beach and then held the reception at a distillery. Skyler captured us and the moment beautifully. In the run up to the big day, Skyler asked all the right questions to learn about us and our expectations. Not only is he is an immensely talented and skilled photographer but a great human. He listens well and he genuinely cares about creating art from your day, art that will endure time. We can't recommend him more highly. -

We couldn't have asked for a better experience working with Skyler and his team throughout our engagement and wedding. When the Covid pandemic caused us to changes our plans (several times), Skyler was flexible, understanding, and active in helping us achieve the vision we had in mind for our engagement & wedding.
Skyler puts a great deal care into his work, even down to researching locations, local weather forecasts, winds, tide tables...you name it. He's a great listener and tailors his approach to what you're looking for, but he's also open and honest in advising you on what will drive the best results on your special day. His professionalism and care definitely comes out in his photography. As a photographer myself, I'm amazed by the quality of his work, artistic style, and the aesthetic he brings out in his photographs. While being a total professional behind the lens, he makes you feel comfortable and was also great at directing traffic with our family & friends during group photos.
Weddings are stressful, and with Skyler you can be confident that you're hiring someone who will put the care and effort into capturing wonderful images and video that you'll enjoy for years to come. -

Skyler is a true artist. He's professional, but also warm, kind, and not at all pretentious. He listens and engages, asking deep questions and participating fully in every interaction. He did an amazing job at guiding us through the often awkward process of being the center of the lens. His instruction was creative and artistic, yet felt natural at the same time. He managed a difficult setting—extreme dust, intense heat, and too-bright sun, crowds of people—with grace and ease. His fastidious attention to detail assured that no hair was out of place, no fabric was falling wrong, no chin tilt was at the wrong angle.
When we got to see the pictures after our session, it took my breath away. Skyler not only documented our incredible surroundings, but captured the tenderness, delight and funkiness of our beautiful and unique event.
I encourage anyone who wants elevated, "not your average wedding photos" to hire Skyler as your photographer. You will not regret it! -

authentic, visionary, professional, artistic
Skyler is a visionary photographer and is truly an expert at his craft. He helped us feel comfortable in front of the camera — he created space for us to be authentic, and gave direction to help get the perfect shots. Rather than taking photos, it felt like he was telling our story and documenting our love.
All of our locations were centered around nature in California - Marin (engagement shoot) and Yosemite (wedding). He flawlessly captured the majesty of El Capitan at golden hour, while allowing our love to be the subject.
I can't recommend Skyler enough, he was such a joy to work with! -
