We can't recommend DJ Emil enough!!! We were on the fence about hiring a professional DJ for our wedding, after having experienced a lot of mediocre DJs at weddings, but from our very first call with Emil, we knew we'd found the perfect person to work with. We really appreciated his positivity, collaborative nature, great communication, and overall expertise. He was very open to working with the playlists we created for the wedding, and ensured that everything ran super smoothly throughout the day. Our guests also loved him, and we received lots of compliments about his DJ-ing style---from the way he made announcements to the smooth transitions he created between songs.
As a wedding gift, Emil created a beautiful audio file of us reading our vows layered over our first dance song---a gift we are going to treasure for a long, long time! We can't thank him enough, and hope that many others will take advantage of his amazing services!

We hired Sky's the Limit for our wedding as both DJ and photo booth services, and they were awesome to work with. Emilien was very professional, and he communicated really well with us leading up to the wedding to make sure he had all of the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception song selections correct as well as exactly how we would fade the songs in and out. He broke down each part of the wedding to discuss how he would MC and move the flow of the wedding along with the guests. He also had some great suggestions for music and how to make certain announcements through the night.
From the ceremony through dinner he made the transitions from one part to the next smoothly for both the music and as an MC. During the dancing we got a lot of compliments from guests on how much they loved the music and how great it was to dance to, so he did great reading the crowd.
We also hired a photo booth from Sky's the Limit which came with an attendant, Ariel. She did great also, making sure everything with the booth ran smoothly and helped guests out when they needed it.
Both Emilien and Ariel were very friendly and easy to work with. We would hire them again! -

DJ Emil did an excellent job at our recent wedding! Many of our guests commented on how much they loved his playlist and mixing, and our dance floor was packed from the first song to the last. Communication was always great, and he was always very kind and energetic when we spoke, which made us more excited for our day. We really appreciated that he made us a sample playlist for the day, and that we were able to provide feedback on it (which, we barely needed to do because it was so well done). We are so glad and honored that he was a part of our day, and we would highly recommend hiring him for any event! -

DJ Emil provided all ceremony audio services for our wedding and reception in April 2025, gracefully MC'ed the speeches portion of the evening, and then kept the party going for hours on the dance floor. Emil truly listened to what we had envisioned and worked with us until he understood our ideas, then applied his extensive experience to make the evening spectacular. He was professional and approachable from our first emails and initial consultation all the way through the end of our reception. Emil is an absolute joy to work with and we loved having him as our wedding DJ! We came across him as a preferred vendor for the Marin Art and Garden Center, and were incredibly impressed by the reviews about Skys the Limit (believe the hype, people!) Emil really takes the time to get to know you as a couple and what you’re looking for. One of our favorite parts of working with him was all the fantastic ideas he shared not only around day of logistics but fun ideas to create special moments. We ended up implementing quite a few of them. We got so many compliments about Emil on the day of our wedding! His audio set-up worked seamlessly, he was an awesome MC, and was a great (and super adaptable) DJ. We also used a photo booth through Skys the Limit and loved it! It was so helpful to have Devin there to make sure the experience went smoothly and overall it was such a fun element for our wedding. We loved how the photos were printed out right there at the wedding but we almost immediately received a link to all the photos online as well!
Emil truly goes above and beyond for his clients. He played a significant role in helping us create such special and meaningful moments we’ll remember for the rest of our lives. We highly recommend Skys the Limit Entertainment! -

We hired Emil and Ariel to be our DJ and photobooth folks and they really knocked it out of the park! They were incredibly professional, courteous, and a joy to work with. Emil was FANTASTIC. From the very beginning he was super responsive and a great communicator (which we learned was not typical for all wedding vendors).
He also took the time to really get to know us as a couple and accommodated all of our special requests. I had even planned to surprise my wife by playing a song on the guitar and he helped me execute this flawlessly (and without anyone knowing ahead of time).
He's intuitive, willing to take requests and I can confidently say there were people on the dance floor until the very last minute. I would hire him again in a heartbeat. -

My husband and I wanted a really good DJ for our wedding. We wanted to make sure we hired someone who not only played the music we wanted, but who knew how to read the crowd and not only get the party started, but keep it going. DJ Emil was just that guy. We interviewed a couple of DJ’s who were in our price range and Emil was the most thorough. He not only asked us questions about the music we enjoy but also asked questions about us as a couple.Hiring him was very easy. The contract was simple, yet effective, and staying in contact with Emil to ask questions and make changes was effortless. He went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of, even going so far as to splice the song we wanted our first dance to and upload a special template we purchased for the photo booth. And yes, his services also include the option of having a photo booth, which our guests absolutely loved. Our guests were able to print however many copies of the photos they wanted (which was great for our big group of friends who each wanted a photo) and we received a link after the wedding to look, aww and laugh at. Emil arrived early the day of the wedding to make sure everything was set up and that things went smoothly. He played all the songs that were important to us and his MC skills were immaculate - at one point we started to fall behind schedule a bit but he was able to get us back on track so we could do all the things we wanted. I’ve been to so many weddings and have to say that DJ Emil is one of the best. Hire him and you won’t regret it. -

Emil was a wonderful DJ/MC for our wedding that we finally had happen after 2 years of postponements with the pandemic. Prior to the wedding day (in both the original 2020 date and final 2022 date), he really took the time to understand our musical tastes and timeline details prior to the wedding with multiple phone calls - we really appreciated the attention to detail. I really believe the music is the soul of the wedding, and Emil went above and beyond in embodying that. All the speaker and mic setup was perfect around the venue (especially with the clever mic hidden behind the arch for our officiant), he executed on playing all the songs we requested, and manifested the fun energy the crowd wanted on the dance floor. You could tell he knows how to read the room and give the crowd what the want to hear. His emceeing was also fantastic, as his voice and announcements had this perfect mix of energy and eloquence we loved. He nailed the timing on all the announcements, with the added bonus of providing us much needed direction when we blanked on what to do per the timeline. The photobooth was also a hit with the guests, with lots of smiling (and goofy) faces in those pics. All in all, Emil really orchestrated the perfect vibe we wanted for the night. The soundtrack to that wedding is forever imbued in my head. Thank you so much to you Emil and your team for making our night so memorable, from all the way from the cocktail hour to the first dance and the last dance! We are so glad we had you there with us for the past 2 years until the big day finally, finally came. -

I cannot say enough great things about DJ Emil and his services! Emil was responsive and professional from the initial inquire, follow up questions and calls, to the months and weeks leading up to my wedding. I planned my wedding from across the country and I was so pleased with Emil's helpfulness during this process. He had great suggestions to improve the flow of the event, but was very receptive to what we thought would be best for us and fit our needs. He also threw in some very personal, thoughtful touches at the end of our reception. And importantly, EVERYONE at our wedding was on the dance floor at one point or another. Everyone who I have spoken to since would not stop saying how much fun they had. My husband and I also had a blast, thanks to Emil! All in all, I cannot recommend Sky's The Limit enough if you are planning any kind of event. Thank you again, Emil!! -

Emil and I just CLICKED the moment we started chatting on Thumbtack. He knew I had a vision for what I wanted my wedding to be and not only did he execute everything PERFECTLY, he helped keep me on track and made the flow of the day so flawless. I would come up with ideas, he would come up with ideas, a few texts later, the changes were made! He is ON IT! He customized my own down the aisle song by looping the instrumental part so I would have enough time and even did a mash up of Arianna Grande Thank U Next and God is a Woman for my bouquet toss! He played all my dad’s 80’s hits, my now husband’s indie faves, and my electronic pop dance stuff! But the most magical night of the evening was when I was on the dance floor and I heard my aisle song.. then I heard my husband’s voice. Emil had taken our vows and put them to my song and it was BEAUTIFUL. If you’re looking for professionalism, uniqueness, a lot of fun, and a personal touch - you’ve found the right DJ. One person could bring the biggest day of your life from special to MAGIC. And that’s DJ Emil with Sky’s the Limit! -

We hired Sky's the Limit for DJ/MC/Photobooth services in July for our wedding, and then I was a bridesmaid in a wedding that hired him in October. On both occasions, DJ Emil was amazing.
For our wedding, we spoke on the phone a couple times and communicated mostly via email leading up to the wedding. We gave him different playlists for each part of the day and told him we trusted him to mix/add/edit as he wanted. The dance floor was so fun! He played a great mix of songs we wanted and ones to keep people dancing. He is also good at keeping everything moving according to the timeline - and being a great MC! I've heard some super cheesy ones and he's not like that :)
He was responsible for the music and mics at the ceremony as well and that all went perfectly.
He brought an assistant to run the Photo Booth, and people loved it! It worked without any issues all night and we love the photos.
And finally - he does ALL of these services for an incredible rate. He truly seems to love what he does and is a pleasure to work with.
Highly recommend DJ Emil for your wedding, he's one vendor you won't regret hiring!
Two extra tidbits you might find helpful when considering:
1. He's quick to react in the moment - at the October wedding, bats flew into the dance area at one point and people started screaming and running from the dance floor. DJ Emil IMMEDIATELY started playing the Batman theme song and it lightened the mood and everyone started laughing and it turned into one of the most memorable moments of the reception!
2. He's a good guy - at the end of that wedding, I forgot my phone at a table and DJ Emil found it. He recognized me in the wedding photo on my lock screen, and came running out to where they were loading the buses and found me just in time! -

Before our wedding, I had reached out and talked to a few Bay Area DJs but ultimately ended up working with Emil at Sky's the Limit because he seemed easy to work with and the price was very reasonable. When I first talked to Emil on the phone, I had a good feeling about him - he was very professional, experienced, and very passionate about music. After it was all said and done, it turned out to be a great decision!
The entire process of selecting songs and creating playlists was very easy, and Emil was always responsive whenever I had a question. He gave advice when I needed it, but wasn't pushy. He also came to the venue walkthrough with our wedding coordinator even though it wasn't required. When I asked if he had a projector, he initially said no but ended up buying one and adding that to his service because it was a popular request. It was so much more convenient to deal with the music, lighting, and projector (for slideshow) through one person.
Music is such an important element in a wedding, and he helped to make the wedding day such an amazing experience. From the beautiful ceremony music, to helping announcing groups of people for photos, to announcing the wedding party as well as giving introductions for the wedding toasts, to the wonderful dinner music, and finally to DJing/mixing the dancing music - he was smooth, professional, and fun all at the same time. I highly recommend you consider Emil to DJ at your wedding or event! -

Sky's the Limit was a wonderful DJ. He MC'd our event with professionalism and courtesy. He asked clarifying questions and delivered our requests well. Emil took our song and artist suggestions and made the most fun dancing playlist! We had a perfect first dance song and our friends LOVED the dancing. It was an upbeat fun event that we won't forget. Thank you!!! Everything was perfect.
