  I took my dress to Sisters on Main due to a short time schedule and they had openings. I drove about an hour one way to get there. My first impression when I walked it wasn't the best because the shop is very cluttered. DON'T let that discourage you from going there. I LOVED how they hemmed, brought in the sides and busseled my dress. She was so sweet and funny. I had 2 fittings and looked forward to going to both of them! The dress fit perfectly thanks to Sisters on Main!. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing dress alterations. The cost they charged was great too!!

  I had Cathy Make my wedding gown and bridesmaid dresses for my wedding. The fabric I originally chose wasn't going to work with the style of dress I wanted so Cathy went above and beyond to find the right fabric and color for my style. Everything fit great and my bridesmaids looked fabulous. I have been back to Sisters on Main twice since my wedding for bridesmaid alterations and even then had a great experience with Cathy and her staff. Her pricing is very reasonable and she even gave me a discount for being a repeat customer! I will be taking my wedding dress back to her to get it boxed when I have a chance she's the only one I would trust with my dress!

  Professional, Quality, and Friendly Service!

  I loved having Kathy alter my wedding dress. She has many years of experience and did a fantastic job with my dress. She was timely and polite throughout the whole process. She primarily uses phone to contact you and schedule appointments, and she is currently working out of her home due to changes with COVID. I would highly recommend Kathy!

  Cathy was very nice to work with for my alterations, but I really had to stay on her to make sure that they were done in time. By the time they were done, there wasn't any time to make any last minute adjustments.

  I would not recommend using Sisters on Main for weddings. The bridal gown and bridesmaids dresses were delivered the morning of the wedding because Cathy was still working on them the day before. The bride and 4 bridesmaids met Cathy 8 months before the wedding. Cathy promised to contact us to initiate creating the bridesmaid dresses. All bridesmaids had to contact Cathy themselves and set up their own appointments two months before the wedding when we got too anxious to wait any longer. One of the bridesmaids did not like Cathy’s initial dress, and Cathy worked hard to change the top style completely. That bridesmaid made multiple visits to her shop the week of the wedding. She tried on the second dress Cathy created for the first time the morning of the wedding. Her bra was visible when she moved around because it was not adjusted to her. This could have been avoided had we began working together at an earlier date. When I called Cathy the morning of the wedding searching for bra straps on one of the dresses, she told me she forgot to add them because she didn’t write it down. She did return to the house with tape to help this issue.
  I was pleased that the bridesmaid dresses were very reasonably priced, but there was a lack of communication surrounding price. I expect professionals to be upfront about estimated costs, or at least explain what will affect their price. We were not told how much they would cost until a couple months before the wedding date. When I asked Cathy how much my bridesmaid dress would cost at our first meeting, she replied “we’ll see”. I emailed her “it would be helpful to hear some numbers as we move forward (for example: adding beading to your dress adds this much $). I would be very appreciative if you could guide me towards a dress within my budget”. She did not reply to my email or call me, even after I called Sisters on Main to follow up. She did not discuss how much features on my dress cost during our appointments.
