I have not picked up my dress for alterations yet, but it has already come in and I have been back to the shop to try it on. My dress fits almost perfectly, and I'm very happy with it. I also appreciate that Sinders stores your dress for you until you're ready to pick it up. I have had professional and knowledgeable service each experience I've had at Sinders, from finding my own dress with two of my bridesmaids to shopping with another bride for hers. I ended up in a dress that I would have never picked out for myself but the ladies I worked with knew how to dress my body type better than I did and I'm grateful for their guidance! I would also like to note that the dress I ended up buying was mislabelled and the owner of the shop did honour the label price, which was greatly appreciated. They have a wide selection of styles and the shop itself is lovely. I certainly would (and have) recommend Sinders to anyone searching for their wedding gown.

I loved my experience there. The rooms to show the dress to your party was perfect, the dresses were amazing and I found my dream dress there. I would recommend her to anyone.

I just wanted to take the time to say a huge thank you to Amanda, Gabby and Debra. We had gone in only with the intention looking at bridesmaid dresses and with only the intention of taking a peek at the wedding gowns.

Amanda helped my bridal party pick out the perfect silhouettes. Additionally, we were very impressed with the selection available. I am so happy that we were able to come all to a decisions as well!

And Gabby you are an amazing person. Thank you so much for taking the time to fit me in despite not having an appointment. By no means did expect to find the wedding dress of my dreams! Once I put it on I didn't want to take it off. This entire time I was so worried not to find a dress that would meet my expectations but I was truly blown away. Thinking about it just now I am still beaming and February couldn't get here any sooner.

I had a great experience purchasing my dress here. The price point was excellent, and they were very accommodating. I have since been shopping at other stores as a maid of honour in another wedding, and can definitely say that Sinders is the place to go!

I received such great service from Sinders Bridal House. They knew what they were talking about and what dresses would look good. Very accommodating and helpful for information on timelines to receive and pick up the dress. They were also amazing and helpful with picking out the bridesmaids dresses. Great job!

Sinders was absolutely fabulous with me. I went in and found a dress that I thought I liked, but then a few months later I changed my mind and wanted a different dress that I found in a store where I now live (on the other side of the country from where my wedding was going to be)... without hesitation Sinders changed my order, and allowed me to feel like the princess I dreamed I would be on my wedding day.

This store located west of Ottawa is exactly what you hope your wedding shopping experience will be like. Very friendly and helpful service. My dress and the bridesmaid dress came in exactly when they said they would - and looked exactly like I wanted. Very pleased, and I have already gone back there to get a bridesmaids dress.

I want to thank all the brides on this site who rated Sinders so highly. It’s the first store I went to and I had amazing service. The ladies there were extremely helpful. I give them one extra point for putting up with my 15 min bridezilla freak-out the first day I showed up LOL. They never rushed me and they catered to all my needs. Best customer service at any bridal store I’ve been to. My BMs also got great service at this store.

I had a very good experience with Sinders Bridal House. I had read mixed reviews on their service, but I can honestly say, that they really helped me out.

They were able to rush-order an Alfred Angelo dress that I wanted to wear for my reception and I was so pleased with the employees who helped me.

I did go for my fittings in the evenings to avoid the Saturday rush, so that probably helped with my overall experience.

I bought my dress, and all BM dresses at Sinders, everything came in on time and excellent quality, friendly service and good prices. I was very impressed! I took the advice of other brides and only visited Sinders during the week so I was never stuck waiting around.

Loved. Although the wrong length came in at first but I dealt with the owner and she straightened everything out and was great to do business with :)

They have a great selection and are extremely knowledgeable.

I purchased my wedding dress here as well as my bridesmaid dresses. I was very impressed with my wedding dress and the style of all of the bridesmaid dresses we bought.

They did try to push extra large sizes on my girls so that they would need to be altered. I understand that you want the dress to be larger and then take it in to make sure it fits as you can't magically make more dress if it is to small. Yet the quotes up to six sizes to big. We went to another store to figure out what size my girls would need before we ordered them from here. They also didn't have much in sizes for the bridesmaid dresses. They only had one which none of my girls fit into even remotely so it was really a gamble,

Overall the service was alright if you are buying your wedding dress. Some of the staff members could seem to careless about helping you find the perfect dress but I think it was the owner who came in and said she had the perfect dress for me to try. She was right.

Lots of beautiful dresses in a reasonable price range. The staff I worked with was helpful but not overly enthusiastic though she was willing to stay a few minutes past closing so that I could try on my favorite dress again.

Disappointed in Sinders. They were great for selection and for getting my dress, however as I was in between two sizes they recommended I go for the larger size since it is easier to take in a dress. Though I lost a little bit of weight in retrospect I should have gone with the smaller size as it was a tie back which already gives a bit of leeway. When I went to get quotes for alterations one place even said it if they were in the business of doing alterations they would have ordered the smaller size given that the one I had on in the store fit fine (and was the smaller size though likely stretched out a bit).

Also one of my bridesmaids tried on her dress after picking it up and the zipper broke. I let Sinders know thinking that maybe they may as a minimum reimburse the cost of the zipper but they didn’t care. I’m just lucky that she discovered this before the wedding as she got stuck in the dress for an hour while an alterations person got her out of it.

Can Say I'm not very happy with Sinders. It seems like once they got my money for my dress they didn't care about me any more. What happened not once but twice- I called the day before my scheduled appointment to pick up my dress to verify my appointment. They told me everything would be ready to go as soon as I got there the next morning. When I arrived the girl who helped me looked at me like I didn't belong there. I told her I had an appointment and she had no idea that I was supposed to be there. needless to say almost 30 minutes later she finally found my dress and I was able to try it on. Pretty much the same thing happened with my veil. I called Thursday last week and said I would come pick it up on Monday. I was advised that it would be steamed and ready to go. When I got there this morning. (Monday morning) The SAME GIRL looked at me like I shouldn't be there and hadn't the slightest idea someone was picking up their veil that morning. TWENTY minutes later she comes back with sorry it wasn't pulled out or steamed. Ok well thanks for letting me know that that is what happened. Why not come back as soon as you found that out to let me know instead of keeping me waiting at the front door with no idea what was going on. Not happy with the service at all.

I found that there was extremely poor customer service at Sinders Bridal House.

I, a bridesmaid, first arrived and was left in the front entrance for 15 minutes. Staff stood around and no one greeted me or asked if I needed help. Eventually they all left the entrance entirely until one girl came back and asked if I needed anything...

My dress came in in time and in good condition, but once again the customer service was poor for the pickup. One of the other bridesmaid's dress was far to big for her when we picked it up. During her first fitting she had been told she needed a dress two sizes bigger than the sample dress when the sample dress had fit her perfectly. She now has to get her dress taken in two sizes smaller, which is disappointing.

I am the father of a bride - she was married last Friday. Sinder's added stress to an already stressful event. They ordered the wrong size of dress. We paid an extra $50 to get the dress quickly - they were 11 days late. They convinced my daughter to have the dress let out. Long story short, we had to return to the seamstress (Rose's across the street from Sinder's) 8 times in total until we received a usable dress. It was not even close to the style of the original dress. The whole experience was very disappointing.

After finding my perfect dress in Montreal, I shopped around Ottawa to see if I could find it closer to home. When Sinders told me that they could order my dress, I was thrilled! I had tried on a size 16 in Montreal, which fit me perfectly, and let the seamstress know this. After measuring me, she suggested that I order an 18. When I told her I had fit perfectly into a 16 just before Christmas, her exact words were "well then perhaps you had too merry of a Christmas." Even if it had been true that I had gained weight (which I hadn't, because I ended up with the 16 and it was too big), I find it appalling that an employee of a bridal salon would be allowed to talk this way to customers. Your wedding is supposed to be the most important day of your life, and you don't need (or deserve) someone telling you you're fat. When I called to let the manager know that the woman had said this to me, I was told that if I didn't have her name, there was nothing she could do for me. Save yourself the drive to Carleton Place and the headache of dealing with these horrible people.

Once I had purchased my bridal gown the service went from great to horrible. I have never heard staff complain so much while there were customers around. You could tell they didn't want to be there and they made my bridesmaid and I feel like we were inconveniencing them. When I went to pick up my bridal gown I was told I required an appointment but when I got there another bride, who had just walked in, was using my scheduled time. I didn't take too long to get my wedding dress but then I was left there for 20 min before anyone came to help me do it up. I guess I should thank the bride before me because it was her who reminded the sales lady that I was still waiting for her. The sales lady gave me a fake apology and the complained about how sore her feet were and how much she needed a glass of wine. I definitively would not recommend this store to anyone I know, the staff had awful customer service.

I have never been treated more terribly as a customer while shopping for my bridal party. Not only did we feel like we were inconveniencing the staff (and were repeatedly ignored, even while having an appointment booked ahead of time), but our preferences, concerns, and questions were brushed off and disregarded. One of my girls felt bullied by a Sales Rep, was insulted by being told she was large (she's not), and was pressured into buying a dress that came two sizes too big for her. When it arrived, the next Sales Rep asked her why she had ordered a dress so large for her, and the girl almost burst into tears.

The dresses are beautiful but the service is appalling. Do NOT go to Sinders if you want a stress-free, fun shopping experience. The Sales Assistants appear not to care about how they treat you.
