Valerie McHale was the makeup artist I chose to use for my wedding. She is highly skilled at what she does and knows exactly what colors to use on each skin type and color. My mother, sister, and I used Valerie for a trial and day-of makeup and both days the makeup was perfect! We chose to use airbrush, which I recommend because it lasted the entire day. Valerie arrived early which is so important, especially when we were beginning at an early 6 am. She set up everything - with every color, shade, and tool imaginable ready, in case we changed any details about our looks. I wanted to look like a more glamorous version of myself and Val was able to make me look flawless and beautiful, without looking too "done up." Her personality is bubbly and fun, which makes her clients feel at ease. At one point I decided that the false single lashes were too long, and Val patiently took out each one and reapplied shorter ones to ensure that I looked perfect on my wedding day. To me, this shows an extremely dedicated and detail-oriented vendor. She is extremely knowledgeable about her field and has been in the makeup industry for years.
My mother, sister, and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Val. Everyone was complimenting us all day. I would absolutely recommend Val for wedding makeup and I will definitely use her in the future. If only I could afford a personal make up artist for daily sessions!
