We couldn’t be happier with our experience working with Tessa and her team! From the very beginning of the planning process, she was incredibly professional, responsive, and an absolute pleasure to work with. She really listened to what we wanted and guided us with so much care and attention to detail.
On the day of the wedding, everything went perfectly. The food was beyond delicious our guests are still talking about it and the presentation was beautiful. Tessa’s team was organized, on time, and handled everything so smoothly, which made the day feel stress-free for us.
Everything exceeded our expectations, and we’re so thankful to have had Tessa as our caterer. Highly recommend her to any couple looking for amazing food and top-notch service! -

The catering at the wedding I attended on Sunday was absolutely top-tier! The chicken and salmon were incredibly juicy, the mashed potatoes were delicious, and every dish was packed with flavor. The service from the servers and staff was professional and attentive, making the entire experience even better. Everything was truly bussin — a memorable meal for a beautiful day!

Simply Sated by Tessa was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding on February 1, 2025! From the moment we connected, Tessa displayed the utmost professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail. But beyond that, the food—oh, the food!—was nothing short of spectacular.
Every dish was beautifully presented, expertly prepared, and bursting with flavor. Our guests are still raving about how incredible everything tasted, from the BBQ brisket, roasted chicken to the macaroni and cheese everything was delicious. The service was flawless—her staff was attentive, friendly, and kept everything running seamlessly.
Tessa went above and beyond to ensure that our wedding reception was a culinary experience to remember. She exceeded every expectation, and I cannot recommend Simply Sated enough for anyone looking for exceptional catering. If you want your event to be unforgettable, Tessa is the one to call! -

Daughter’s Wedding
Tessa and her team did an amazing job! She was so easy to commune with and answered all my daughter’s questions quickly. It was pouring rain that day and not one show of attitude or complaint as they unloaded and got ready. Every person on her team had a smile and a sweet hello to everyone they came in contact with. The open bar was tended beautifully. Drinks were fast flowing and no one had to wait. Thank you so much, Tessa and team! It was a wonderful night! -

We were so lucky to have found Tessa for our event! The food was absolutely delicious, and our guests still rave about it to this day. Tessa’s roll-up-your-sleeves approach was a breath of fresh air; she was always willing to jump in and help wherever she could, making our day less stressful and truly amazing. We also took advantage of her bartending services, providing our own liquor and mixers. To our delight, Tessa came equipped with all the necessary bar tools, which helped us save on expenses. Her flexibility and patience throughout our planning process, especially with the many back-and-forth conversations with our coordinator and our own requests, were greatly appreciated. Overall, Tessa made our event memorable, and we can’t recommend her enough! -

Tessa was the sweetest person from the very first moment I reached out. There are so many elements in wedding planning that you don’t know to ask about until it’s time to figure them out, and Tessa was right there with me while I asked a million questions about catering. She was flexible with adding on last minute items (just over a week before the wedding!) and making sure our day was full of delicious food. I trusted her so much, I booked without being able to have a tasting (I live in another state). No regrets about it! Everything was delicious and our guests loved cocktail hour and dinner! The crab cakes and tomato soup shooters were a couple favorites. Thank you Tessa and your team! -

Once we had our menu set (even with some extras Tessa came up with that were not on the normal menu), I was hands off the wheel! She came in with her team and just got things in place and done without needing anything at all from us. It was such a relief, and amazing professionalism on her part. We felt so special, and she made sure all the guests had anything needed without having to think twice! I highly recommend her services, great food, and wonderful demeanor! She was a pleasure to work with and made our wedding day just that much more memorable! -

Our dream wedding because of Tessa!
We originally booked Tessa for catering and after an amazing tasting we were informed that she also provides floral and decor. Tessa is an amazing chef, floral and decor vendor and most importantly an amazing person! My wife and I love love love Tessa and her crew! She was very responsive and always down to earth and thoughtful of the brides wishes. I would recommend Tessa to anyone who we know personally and hope this review will be the words you need to hear to make your decision easy to pick her for your next event. (YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED)

Tessa herself is one of the sweetest humans and her food is out of this world ! The Cajun shrimp pasta was so good, I wish I had gotten some to go so I could have seconds when we got to our hotel room haha. We had the Cajun shrimp pasta, spaghetti and meatballs, the steak Alfredo, salad and garlic bread. 10/10 would recommend 🖤 -

OMG!! Thank God for Tessa!!! She catered our wedding reception and did an amazing job!!! Everything was laid out beautifully!!! I am so grateful to have discovered Tessa early on in my wedding planning process. From our very first few messages, she made me feel supported, confident and limitless. She is extremely communicative, always responding quickly and clearly. She is flexible, open to tweaking the menu and adding or removing items as needed. And she is honest and professional, delivering exactly as she promised. On top of that, my guests LOVED the food. All of the dishes were well seasoned, hot and perfectly displayed. Chef Tessa was absolutely wonderful to work with! Right from the start, she impressed my fiance and me with her quick responses to our emails. She never made me feel like I was asking too many questions or being overbearing. When we had to reschedule our tasting due to a death in the family, she was so considerate.
Her food is INCREDIBLE. I wish I had recipes for some of the things she made! Mouthwateringly good. Chef Tessa was also very thorough about going over menu options that would be inclusive for the many family members and guests who had dietary restrictions.
On the wedding day, Chef Tessa and her staff were so friendly and professional throughout the reception. 100% recommend hiring her if you're looking for a flexible and high quality caterer for any event! -

Absolutely stunnning!
Tess is absolutely amazing. She was patient and was there for each step of the process. The decor for my wedding was just breathtaking. Her attention to detail and her passion shows. Tess is literally a one stop shop, decor, florals, and catering! You wont be disappointed, she is amazing! -

She was very responsive, very reasonable with the price, on time and great set up. The issue was sadly the food. You are only allowed a tasting after you signed the contract (mistake). At the tasting we went over things like the chicken breast are to be garlic herb with no spice/ heavy seasoning, sadly they were still the same as the tasting. The Mac and cheese was over cooked, guest complained ab the red potatoes being a little charred, jambalaya way too spicy and the deviled eggs were not consistent. The greens and the meatballs were phenomenal. For 6000 I would have thought my guest would be raving over the food but there were a lot of plates including mine that did not get finished. This review is not to bash the caterer at all because she is so sweet and hardworking it’s just to reflect on MY EXPERIENCE and hope they can grow from this.Simply Sated By Tessa's reply:
I appreciate your honesty, I only wish you’d voiced your concerns with me so we could mitigate them, even post wedding. My only wish is that my customers have a phenomenal experience with Simply Sated and I’m disheartened to know that wasn’t your experience.
I do offer tastings before booking, they are only free if services are retained prior to booking.

The food was great! We were told that we ran out of food by the time it came around to our vendors to eat. I hated that because I made sure to over-estimate our numbers, and we even had many people not show up to the reception. I later discovered through our guests and other vendors that Tessa and the other waiters/waitresses piled up their own plates and went and ate in a separate room. When I say pile up, I mean that each of them piled their own plates higher than they did for any other guest including myself, the bride. Assuming that each plate could have fed at least two people, this was upsetting. One of my guests even left to get food and came back...Simply Sated By Tessa's reply:
Meagan, I’m so sorry you felt this way. It’s always my goal to please and over extend myself to our guests. But I did want to address my servers eating. I always prepare enough food for not only your specific vendors, but also for my team. Also, my team does not break to eat until everyone has been served and all lines are cleared, even when they break to eat, we have one person still serving the line to ensure all guests are served. Additionally, the serving size is 1.25 per guest. Meaning, I do cook extra food to ensure your guests have enough. I myself didn’t eat at all at your wedding due to a my medical condition, so I truly apologize that someone gave you misleading information. I wish you all the best of luck on your nuptials and thank you so much for your feedback.
