The catering team was professional and organized, and everything was served on time. The food was good, and they did a great job accommodating our guests. Simply the Best - Made Magic Happen

We used Simply Gourmet as our wedding caterer at Powel Crosley Estate in September of 2024. Dealing with Becky and her team was seamless and made the entire experience straight forward and easy. Despite the challenges posed by Hurricane Helene, which passed through the area the day before our wedding, the team went above and beyond to ensure the day was nothing short of perfect.
The food and beverage services were excellent all the way from the hors d'oeuvres through the main course to the cocktails. Each dish was absolutely delicious and a hit with all of our guests. We can't thank the team enough for their help and dedication in making our wedding so great!

Wonderful experience from start to finish and delicious food!

We hired Simply Gourmet for our April 2024 wedding at the Powel Crosley Estate and we couldn't have been happier with their service from start to finish. Becky was organized, knowledgeable and wonderful to work with during the entire planning process - and went above and beyond to answer all of our questions. Their menus are great with tons of options to appeal to any guest, and the food at our wedding was absolutely delicious - from the cocktail hour through our meal. Bar service was also great and the entire staff went above and beyond to make sure that we were happy and had a great day.

Simply Gourmet is Simply Fabulous

Simply Gourmet is a class act that takes food and beverages very seriously and will execute on everything you ask for. Becky listened to our ideas and delivered on more appetizers, fresh fruit and cheese platters and a tower of glasses filled with bubbly for the toast. The food was delicious, nicely proportioned and several of our guests remarked that it was actually hot when served (outside). Everyone raved about the food and because the bride has a shellfish allergy, we went with grouper as a third option, and it was a hit! Becky changed our plans at our request several times and didn’t bat an eye. Her bar staff was very professional, and June is a gem. Our Pittsburgh Cookie Table tradition required the catering staff to plate tons and tons of cookies to everyone’s (outside of PA) surprise and they did a beautiful job. The cheeseburger sliders hit the spot after a few hours of drinking and dancing and were appreciated. Simply Gourmet is Simply Fabulous!

Best Catering company in Sarasota!!!!

When I booked my wedding venue at Mote, I did not know that I would have to choose from their suggested vendors. However, there is a reason why Simply Gourmet is a suggested vendor for Mote. They were so easy to work with! Becky was very responsive to my emails and inquiries and I was never nervous or uneasy throughout the entire process, especially being a destination wedding bride. We flew down over the summer for their grand tasting and after tasting the food, it only confirmed we knew we had made the right choice. Becky, gave us great suggestions for food that worked into both what we were looking for in our reception meal that also was within our budget. Even our family and friends are still talking about how amazing the food was! If I could give more than 5 stars I would hands down! Thank you for making our day amazing! Also, a huge thank you to Carlos for indulging us and wearing a shark onsie while bartending.

Wedding Caterer

Where do I begin?! I just got married 5 days ago and used Simply Gourmet as our caterer and I can’t say enough great things! The venue I got married at (Powel crosley) gives you a few caterers to choose from and I am so grateful we went with Simply Gourmet. While the other caterers tried to upcharge for every little thing, Simply Gourmet was reasonable and accommodating and FLEXIBLE. Becky is a true angel and made my experience so seamless. I was a nervous bride and Becky answered all my annoying questions, even if I asked them multiple times. She even remembered things I forgot. She really went above and beyond and I feel like was on my team! The food was outstanding. I have a very Italian family who can be picky about food and I had multiple people compliment us about the food! The portions were large and the food was tasty. I had so many people with different allergies and they got everything correct! Everything from the lamb lollipops to the generous serving of shrimp skewers to my moms made up request of a tomato baked with breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese was executed perfectly. Truly so accommodating and amazing! Thank you Becky for everything!!!

Incredible!

Absolutely amazing catering company! They were so sweet the day of our wedding and the food was delicious. We didn’t even taste test before the wedding and loved the food the day of. Our guests all enjoyed the food and bar services. They were super flexible with working with my budget and they really helped complete my wedding dreams! Loved them!

Great Experience with Buffet Style

Simply Gourmet did an amazing job with our small wedding at the Crosley Estate. We chose to do buffet style and there was plenty of food, with everything tasting delicious (Chicken alla rosa, roast beef, carbonara) and the day was smoothly executed. We would love for there to be more photos on their website of their various food items, but it sure looked great in person. Buffet style was fine during COVID as only the servers handled the serving utensils, not the guests. They offered the most reasonable pricing on food between the vendors we were allowed to use at our venue. Becky communicated very well, and everyone we encountered was a pleasure to work with.

Outstanding food and service!

I have my destination wedding at Sarasota end of 2021 and our special day wouldn’t be so perfect without Becky and the Simply Gourmet team! Becky has been extremely responsive and reliable throughout my planning process, which is one of the key reasons I picked Simply Gourmet among multiple caterers because I know communication is so important especially that I had not been to the venue. Indeed on the day I’m surprised by the high quality of food and service they provided. All the appetizers, salad, entrees, deserts and drinks are delicious! People are still taking about how good the food is - I love the appetizers, the salad and the signature drinks, and many also told me that the steak was perfectly cooked and the mashed potato was the best they had ever had. Their service was outstanding! We got some issues from other vendors and Becky and the team have been there all the time to help get everything handled so well, and there were staff following us to make sure we have food while we were taking photos. I have very high bar but Simply Gourmet definitely exceeds my expectations. Everybody had such a great time.I would highly recommend Sinply Gourmet! Thank you so much Becky and the team!

Highly Recommend Simply Gourmet!

Jamie and the team at Simply Gourmet could not have been better! They were so flexible and helpful when we had to postpone our October 2020 wedding a year due to the pandemic and kept in touch the entire time. 100% Recommend Simply Gourmet!

We could not have been happier about the way our wedding went and how amazing of a job Simply Gourmet did. They supplied all tableware and catering for our wedding in March 2021. We had some last minute changes to our timeline given some delays and they were able to roll with the punches and deliver the most amazing meal and catering service. Every part of the meal was awesome. We completely forgot that they delivered the appetizers to our table (since we were busy taking photos during cocktail hour!) and were so pleasantly surprised when those arrived! Simply Gourmet delivered exemplary customer service and were awesome to work with every step of the planning process. Delicious food, amazing service, and reasonably priced especially for the amazing value they provide. We can't thank them enough and highly recommend their service.

I worked with Jaime and Becky at Simply Gourmet and they made the day flow seemlessly. Simply Gourmet was referred to us after our original caterer had to break up with us, no hard feelings at all towards them. In fact our original caterer is the one who referred Simply Gourmet. Jaime was so incredibly helpful in assisting with timeline for the day and helping to keep me on task, which I appreciated as I found the planning process to be very overwhelming. She was attentive to detail and made sure we managed to add time for us to eat on the schedule. Living in another state Jaime was very good at communicatiung with us and even arranged a tasting for my mother and niece since we were not able to make it. The food was sooooo incredibly delicious. I had so many compliments about the food after the wedding, the goat cheese appetizer was a fan favorite for sure. On the day Becky was our go to person and she was such a delight and fun person to work with. My husband and I were not expecting the level of personal attention Becky gave us. While we were getting our portarits taken Becky was there right along with us with drinks waiting. My husband even commented that he felt like Thor .. he would put out his hand and his drink would appear! HAHA! It was a true pleasure working with these ladies. I would recommend them to any brides I know. I am so grateful they were able to step in and help with our day. Their dedication to making this a great experience will not be forgotten.

Amazing Vender!

Becky and Simply Gourmet Caterers are literally the sweetest vendors I've had the pleasure of hiring. They go above and beyond for their couples. The staff was so kind to my guests and other vendors. They made sure that we were able to taste all the food we has on our wedding day. Becky brought over a plate of appetizers for my husband and I try have while we were taking pictures during cocktail hour. She was incredibly sweet and truly took care of us and our guests. My guests still rave about their beef tips appetizers and desserts.

Incredible

Simply Gourmet & Becky were absolutely incredible! We used them for a Friday night "welcome party" and our wedding and both events were incredible. The food tasted exactly like it did at the tasting and the cheese board/table they did for the Friday night cocktail party was beyond! I got so many compliments on the wedding food and everything was hot & as expected. We chose the day-of wedding planner service and it was worth every penny. Becky made everything seem so easy and calm and kept the night moving. To me, everything went off without a hitch (and if it didn't, Becky did an INCREDIBLE job of making me feel calm). Becky was great at communicating and her & her team did an excellent job of executing our vision. We had a lot of personal touches (handmade by my mother) and Becky & her team made sure they were placed & ready to go at the venue. She did an excellent job managing our other vendors as well. I cannot recommend Simply Gourmet & Becky enough!

Simply Amazing

We hired Simply Gourmet for our daughter's wedding, and they were Simply Amazing! At the tasting we met Becky and decided we also needed her to be the wedding coordinator. Becky worked with us to create a very elegant event and delicious meal within our budget. She had great ideas and confidence that put our minds at ease. She helped us to have a plan A, B, and C for weather, and thank goodness because we ended up needing to use plan B. Jamie also helped coordinate the ceremony at the church, and her quick thinking saved the day when we forgot a boutonniere for the singer, she quickly fashioned one out of left over flowers! When we arrived at the venue, for pictures, we were greeted by Becky and staff with drinks and yummy appetizers. Our guests were inside having a great time and being well taken care of, they commented that the bar tenders remembered their drinks and had them ready as they approached. The dining service was impeccable. Becky had the venue looking gorgeous, a floor plan that kept the guests engaged and having fun, the vendors coordinated with a timeline, a calm confidence, and a staff that was there to please. Simply Gourmet and Becky exceeded our expectations with the food and service!

Amazing!!!

The food and wedding coordination was amazing. Becky did such a fantastic job. Worked with our changing of the menu several times and always responsive. On our wedding day, Becky kept everything organized and even removed a huge foot print stain from my dress. I cannot recommend them enough! Best caterer ever

I seriously cannot recommend Simply Gourmet highly enough. They did an AMAZING job throughout the whole planning process and were fabulous on the day of the wedding as well. We primarily worked with Becki, and I cannot say enough good things about her. First, the food was AMAZING. We had chicken (so tender!), green beans (cooked to perfection), rolls (everyone LOVED), salad with amazing dressing, baked ziti (my fave!!), and brownies and amarettos (to die for!). Our hor d'oeuvres were amazing as well. Our venue had a rule that the caterer must handle all of the rentals (chairs/lights/heaters/linens), and Simply Gourmet did an excellent job ordering all of the rentals and making sure they were set up. On the day of, the staff was so friendly and kind and treated not only the wedding party, but also the guests like kings and queens. Not only does Simply Gourmet offer 5 star service, they also are so affordable and will work with you on pricing. CANNOT RECOMMEND HIGHLY ENOUGH. If you are from the Sarasota area or are getting married in the Sarasota area, you want this vendor at your wedding!!! 10/10

Delicious!

I had the pleasure of working with Becky and she was great! She went above and beyond for me during my planning process. I planned my wedding from out of state and she was so easy to communicate with. During our tasting they whole staff treated us so well, and the food was amazing! We worked with Chef Will, he was great as well. On our wedding day Becky made sure a server focused on my husband and I to ensure we ate and didn't miss out on appetizers during pictures. When we sat down for dinner we even had a plate with every appetizer to make sure we tried everything. We had just under 200 guests, dinner was served very timely and everyone loved their food. I highly recommend Simply Gourmet Caterers, thank you Becky!

Amazing experience with Simply Gourmet. Becky also acted as our day of coordinator. Several of my bridal party commented that hiring her to make sure everything ran smoothly was the best money we spent! We chose a Mexican themed buffet and the food was so delicious! Simply Gourmet has servers at the buffet so you don't have to balance your drink, your plate, and attempt to serve yourself at the same time. Becky also made sure that the bridal party had appetizers and drinks while we were taking pictures....such a nice touch! We bought our own alcohol and hired Bill the bartender through Simply Gourmet. My guests were so impressed that he remembered their drinks each time they went back to the bar! And when we got back to our room for the night, we found leftovers in the refrigerator. Very thoughtful. Thanks to Becky and Simply Gourmet, we truly had the perfect wedding day.

My wife and I recently got married and spent a lot of time trying to find the right caterer for this big event. We reached out to many caterers but ended up going with Simply Gourmet for many reasons. They were quick in their response back to us, their pricing was very reasonable, they put together a taste testing for us which made all the difference. Their food was amazing and the portions were perfect not to much food and not to little. They also make the most amazing amaretto cookies I have ever had. Since we did not have the money to hire a complete wedding planner we used Simply Gourmets Day of Wedding services. Jamie the owner did such a great job at organizing our wedding and making sure everything was on time. She followed up with our vendors as well to ensure they knew what times to be there and where to setup. It allowed my wife and I to just sit back relax and enjoy our day without worrying about the wedding. Their catering staff was top notch to, they were very punctual and professional. The waitresses were kind and helpful to all of our guests and when the wedding was over, they made sure everything was cleaned up and looked like it did when we arrived. This allowed us to get our deposit back from the venue. If your contemplating and procrastinating over which caterer to go with, you will be extremely satisfied if you choose Simply Gourmet. They also have many contacts in the rental area for weddings. You can get everything you need from food, drinks, chairs, tables, plates, glasses, linens and of course their top notch service all in one place with them. Do yourself a favor and go with Simply Gourmet, save yourself the headache you might get from other caterers. You will have the best wedding every if you do. I hired simply gourmet catering for my wedding catering after our first tasting, the food was absolutely delicious and it truly set them apart from the other caterers in the area. We also chose Jamie as our wedding coordinator. I am in graduate school and got married in the middle of it (YA IM CRAZY LOL), so without her help I don't know how I would have done it all! She was very organized and super prompt when answering emails. It is apparent she has a ton of experience under her belt! She was able to help us come up with Plan A, B, and even C if weather conditions were to change the day of the wedding --- and they did!! We were so happy with everything Jamie did-- from coordinating with all the vendors, making sure we were staying on timeline, and even saving us food that we missed out on eating because we were so busy getting pictures done!! Absolutely amazing catering! Everything from our tasting to the wedding night was perfect! Their attention to detail was incredible. They really listened to what we wanted and I felt like our menu was very personal.
Becky was our coordinator and she ensured the entire wedding ran smoothly, she even helped my mum build my wedding cake.
Very affordable. High quality, fresh food! We got so many compliments on the catering which I don't think many people can say of their wedding food! They even gave me and the groom a dinner plate with a little of each food option on it so we got to taste everything!!

The food for our wedding was simply superb! The quality and the presentation looked straight out of a magazine. One of my favorite things about Simply Gourmet is that unlike many other vendors, Simply Gourmet cooks their food onsite. It makes such a difference! Also, Becky was such a doll to work with. Simply Gourmet was the caterer for our wedding on March 24, 2018. They did an exceptional job. We could not get into the venu t’il 3pm the day of the wedding. Simply Gourmet catered our wedding on Saturday and we could not be happier. The chef, Larry, has previous experience as a chef in New York (where we are from) and his food is excellent; simple yet elegant and surprisingly affordable for the quality he puts out. Our guests who, came from around the world, were very impressed.

Becky, the wedding coordinator through Simply Gourmet, was also amazing. It sadly rained on our day but she was upbeat and responsive throughout, and worked hard to allow for some of the reception to still take place outside after the rain had stopped. She also helped to move decorations around inside the Edson Keith Mansion (where our wedding took place), to ensure that the indoor ceremony was just as lovely as the outdoor one would have been.

I highly recommend Simply Gourmet for any wedding or event.

I cannot say enough about Becky and the team at Simply Gourmet. We enlisted their services for both catering and day-of coordination, and the entire event was PERFECT. Planning from afar added an extra level of stress but the communication Becky had with our other vendors put everyone at ease, and we knew we were in good hands. After researching different wedding caterers in the area, we came across Simply Gourmet. Becky and Jamie made the planning process extremely EASY and stress-free. From picking out our linens, menu, the layout, and even developing an agenda/timeline for the day down to the minute, Becky went above and beyond as our day-of coordinator. She was extremely responsive, reliable and trustworthy during the most crucial planning weeks leading up to our wedding. Not only was our wedding beautiful and stress-free, the food was amazing! We opted to go for a chicken dish to save money and were very pleasantly surprised on how good it was. Simply Gourmet catered our rehearsal dinner event for our son's wedding. Becky was informative, friendly, flexible, and accessible for us throughout the planning stages of our event. The catering team was prompt and professional throughout the set up, the service, and the take down of the venue. The table settings were beautiful!! The presentation of the food was appealing and plentiful. The staff was willing and able to accommodate some last minute "special requests" without any difficulty. The food was all delicious!!!!!!! We chose Simply Gourmet as our caterer because we wanted to go with a small business that focused on quality. I cannot recommend Simply Gourmet and Becky Souflis enough! We ended up hiring Becky as our day-of coordinator after a couple months of planning. Our goal was a stress-free wedding. Many people laughed at me when I said that, but guess what! Our wedding was stress-free and PERFECT all thanks to Becky and her responsiveness and meticulous attention to detail. As the weeks came closer and closer to our wedding, Becky always responded to every single question in a timely manner and also offered advice that only someone with experience in the wedding world would be able to help with. She knew every detail of our layout and schedule. We met in person with her three times to pick linens, go over our menu, and discuss our layout and other details. Although she was hired as our "day-of" coordinator, I feel she did much much more than that.
Also, not to mention, the food from Simply Gourmet was absolutely delicious, presented beautifully, in theme with our Florida wedding, AND the all the staff at the wedding were so nice and attentive. It was a dream and we received numerous compliments all night and after the wedding! THANK YOU SIMPLY GOURMET!!!

Simply Gourmet is the Class of Sarasota for catering weddings. We just had our wedding this past weekend at the Powel Crosley Estate, and we hired Becky to run our show. She did not disappoint. In fact, we don't think our wedding could have been ran any more perfectly. Becky catered to every little detail we wanted and needed. Amazing food? Check. Coordination with our vendors? Check. The entire experience with Simply Gourmet was nothing short of perfect. Jamie and her husband Chef Larry are simply wonderful, their staff are absolutely superb, and their food is AMAZING. Our wedding guests cannot stop raving about how great the food AND service was. The staff were so wonderful that all of our guests still remember each and every one of them by first name. Jamie is an absolute sweetheart, and was always available whenever I needed to contact her. She listens well to what your wishes and vision are, and does everything in her power to make your vision come to life. Chef Larry truly has a talent for creating dishes that bring out the natural flavor of each ingredient. He does not need to use heavy sauces and overload on salt and spices to make food taste good. He travels all over the world and nation to find the best ingredients, then does his magic to make the natural flavors come out. My husband and I will definitely be hiring Simply Gourmet in the future again!

We worked with Simply Gourmet for catering and rentals for our wedding in December 2016, and we were so happy we did! Jamie was super responsive and helpful in working with us on our budget and menu. We actually had to sign our contract before having a tasting since we live out of town and were a bit nervous, but as soon as we got to Simply Gourmet and had a taste of Chef Larry's food we knew we had made the right choice. The food is delicious and the plating beautiful - Chef Larry takes a lot of pride in his work and it shows. All of our guests are still raving about the food from our wedding a month ago. Simply Gourmet was absolutely fantastic to work with! The food was delicious and affordable, the service was outstanding, and the entire experience greatly exceeded our expectations. Aside from the catering aspect -- we hired Becky Souflis, Senior Event Coordinator as our day of coordinator/planner on top of the fact that she was managing the onsite catering. It was by far the best decision we could have possibly made. I didn't think we needed a day-of-planner, but I was sorely mistaken and am so glad we decided to take advantage of her services. I worked closely with her in the months leading up to our wedding and she made the planning process so seamless and easy for me. It made a world of difference because we are not local to Sarasota, so having a local point person was a huge help - especially someone like Becky! She had fantastic relationships with all of our vendors in Sarasota, and was such a pleasure to work with. We could not have pulled of the wedding of our dreams without her! She was organized, professional and is amazing at what she does. She paid attention to every single detail and did so much more than just day of coordination. Choosing Simply Gourmet was one of the best decisions we made during our wedding planning. Becky was extremely accommodating and her team was attentive and professional! Simply Gourmet was hired to cater a wedding at my facility last night. They have a great reputation for serving delicious food, and it was! What really stood out was the staff. They were outstanding! Such professionals. A plated meal was served in no time, everything was bussed and kept clean, when the evening was over, not a trace was left.

I want to start by saying that food in general is extremely important to me. So great food at our wedding was a must. Simply Gourmet is truly the best! We researched and tried other caterers. The moment we sat down with Jamie and tried our first bite of Chef Larry's food, I locked eyes with my future husband and his mom. The three of us knew we had found our caterer. From then on each and every expectation, concern, and fantasy was expertly handled by the Simply Gourmet staff. In a rare stroke of brilliance, I hired Jamie for my 'day-of' coordination. Best decision! She promptly addressed all of our emails and phone calls (and there were a lot of those) with total calm and professionalism. My wedding day was sheer perfection thanks to these wonderful people. And THE FOOD!!! Literally the BEST! My foodie snob bridesmaid ( who is also brutally honest) declared it to be "the best food I've ever had at any wedding!" Simply Gourmet was simply wonderful! The food catered for our daughter's wedding was better than most restaurants. Even though the wedding was held in the beautiful surroundings of the Ringling Museum's courtyard, the very first thing our guests commented on was how delicious the food was from the tenderloin/lobster appetizers to the berry salad dressing. Perfect five star rating from this happy bride. Thank you, Simply Gourmet for your amazing service at our wedding. I am so glad that I listened to the recommendations of my venue and my photographer, who both strongly recommended Simply Gourmet. First, they were patient with my frequent menu changes. Jamie and Becky are so responsive to me and highly organized - they will walk you through every step of the process. The food was beyond fantastic and my guests raved to me about the level of service, attention to detail and overall quality. There was not a single complaint - only many compliments! I especially appreciate that a vegan meal was provided for the Mother of the Bride, which was a last minute accommodation we needed. We also had many dietary restrictions, all of which were handled perfectly. I'd like to thank Aaron and her team for ensuring that I knew what was going on every minute. I especially appreciate that they ensured that my groom and I got to enjoy the passed appetizers, dinner and cake! We were so busy all evening, if not for the staff who attended to us so thoughtfully it's highly likely we would not have had time to enjoy our own meals. Thank you, Simply Gourmet!

We would hire this caterer again in a heartbeat. The food was fantastic and we got many compliments on it. The staff was extremely attentive and they anticipated our needs before being asked. They were truly dedicated to making sure that the guests had a good time and that the bride and groom were happy. Becky was our wedding coordinator and she was flexible and creative in allowing our daughter to achieve her dream of getting married outside, despite a thunderstorm that set the ceremony back a half hour. She juggled the 95 guests, venue coordinators, the bride, the groom, the band and the catering staff to keep the guests happy and dry until the rain stopped and we were able to convene the ceremony in the garden. Again, things could not have gone better, thanks to the professionals at Simply Gourmet. We highly recommend this caterer.

All I have to say is wow. This company went above and beyond the call of duty. Not only was the food delicious, nearly everyone at our wedding said that it was the best wedding food they had ever had. This is coming from very picky New York eaters! They accommodated special requests (allergies, dietary restrictions, etc...) gracefully and easily. This company is a surefire way to make sure that the food at your wedding will be no less than perfect.

I have to say that I don't usually write reviews. I am lazy about following up, I'll admit, but Simply Gourmet went above and beyond our expectations. I scouted out A LOT of caterers & chose Simply Gourmet, in part b/c of the wonderful word of mouth reviews from others, they were the most affordable for our budget and Becky was very willing to work with us to make sure we stayed within our budget. Becky is top notch. She is professional and genuine and very good at what she does. I appreciated that she was the only one who corresponded with me rather than talking to multiple people. It made for clear and concise communication. Our big day was magical, despite unexpected rain. Becky & team made it all seamless. We felt like royalty. The staff doted on us & the food was EXCEPTIONAL! We had the chance prior to do a tasting & meet chef Larry. We loved his energy and passion for what he does immediately. Everyone at Simply Gourmet is simply THE BEST. They are caring, dedicated, and experienced. We were in the best hands in the business. Larry's food is fit for a fine dining experience. So many of our guests raved about the food. It was hot, delicious, and thoughtfully crafted to be a work of art in our mouths. Jamie from Simply Gourmet served as our day-of coordinator. She kept us on track and had the mental capacity to handle things I was too distracted for or didn’t care as much about. She’d let us know when it was time for pictures or the first dances – all things that you’ve discussed together a million times (including the timeline), but in the heat of the moment, you’re too busy with everyone talking to you. At one point, she came up and brought the remaining cupcakes because they had all been eaten already and that wasn’t on top of mind for my husband and I. But, I appreciated it because we really wanted to eat them. We weren’t originally going to have a day-of coordinator and thought we could get away with a close family friend serving as a “pusher.” But, we realized it would be wise, and it was the best decision we made.

The food was also good, and we received compliments on it. We consulted on our menu, and Jamie understood the foods that we really wanted to incorporate. We had a wonderful experience working with Simply Gourmet and would do it again!

The very first thing I said to my mother, when we began planning my wedding was that the food MUST be good. I had been to a few weddings and all I can remember was how the food was really not any good at all, and the fact that it was like this for a wedding was shocking to me. Well Simply Gourmet did more than just give us good food, they served us GREAT food. They even went out of their way to help form my idea of a tropical menu; but they not only met my dream they went BEYOND it. The cashew crusted chicken was so moist and delicious, and the mango salsa, Oh my lord! With the fire grilled vegetables--you could even still taste the grill on the zucchini! Don’t even get me started on the cocktail hour finger foods, we picked the tenderloin garlic lollipop with horseradish sauce, smoked Gouda quesadillas, Fontiina stuffed risotto balls and Alsatian tart. Jamie was also sure that we, the bride and groom, were saved some so that we could enjoy them as well. They were absolutely delicious and fresh! I honestly could not say more good things about Simply Gourmet. Everyone at my wedding could not stop mentioning how good the food was and I could not agree more! Not only was the food great but the service was awesome as well, they even put up with my new husbands banter and demands that they have fun too! Thank you Chef Larry, Jamie, Becky, Marlene and all your staff for making my wedding the perfect day that it was. I only wish I could eat your food everyday!

We used Simply Gourmet for my daughter’s wedding at my brother and sister-in-laws house in Sarasota. And everything was perfection!!!
The owner, Jamie, was such a BIG help the day of our event with everything—from the placement of tables to decorating the cake table. We dealt with Becky until the day of the wedding and she was wonderful to work with. She stayed within our budget and produced a beautiful result. Marlene and her waitstaff were superb!! They were very pleasant to have taking care of all of us. I did not hear one negative about anything, which I consider a real big plus.
The food was amazing! Everything was the right temperature and sooooo very, very good. We heard people raving about it all night! What was so very nice is that they listened when we asked about having mango more in a salsa like topping instead of as a coulis. The chicken was very moist which people commented on, as the night before some had dry chicken. Chef Larry your food was perfection plus!
Out of all the other caterers we had tried we are so very happy we went with Simply Gourmet. With them you will not go wrong. They are above and beyond a top rating.

You cannot go wrong with Simply Gourmet. Jamie treated us like family from the moment we walked into the office and Chef Larry is phenomenal! We are still hearing how amazing our food and appetizers were, and how professional, yet fun, the staff was. My husband and I got married at the same venue our reception was located and during the cocktail hour, Jamie transformed the courtyard into the most beautiful scene, with every detail in place. I'm so happy with our experience and recommend to every bride and groom.

The food was amazingggggg! Everyone loved the bacon wrapped shrimp and garlic tenderloin lollipop appetizers! Chef Larry did such a great job with getting the food out hot and on time. He was even able to accommodate all the food allergies at our wedding which was probably not the easiest! Becky was my fairy godmother for the entire planning process! She always answered my emails within 24 hrs and had such a great attitude. I was quite picky and she was able to make sure everything was just the way I wanted it. On the day of the wedding she made sure all my little DIY items were in place.

Simply Gourmet has now catered my wedding, my brother's wedding and a friend of ours wedding. I would definitely recommend them to everyone! They beat everyone else's prices and still provided great quality food!

Awesome food! Fantastic menu! Compliments galore! Jamie set up a breath-takingly beautiful buffet for our wedding in September 2014 . Jamie brought and set up the food off-sight at a resort at Bradenton Beach. She worked closely with us while we planned a wedding while living in Arizona. The menu Jamie developed for us was just what we wanted and the statement we wanted to make with our guests starting with the wonderful appetizers and right through the meal and onto the cake cutting, which she helped with which was a terrific help. Our guests who attended our “destination” wedding had so many compliments about the food that we knew we made the right choice by using “Simply Gourmet”. Jamie, Larry, and Becky were 'Simply The Best'.

We had originally been thinking of going with a certain, highly rated vendor in the area, but the minute we put down a deposit it was as if they didn't care any more. The other vendor was additionally highly inflexible, and canceled on us for a tasting date that *they* suggested, when we had to fly down to do so. Fed up, we decided to try Simply Gourmet, who was hosting the rehearsal dinner.

It was like night and day. While myself and my husband didn't get a chance to try out the other caterers food due to their rescheduling on us, my parents did... And they were not impressed. Simply Gourmet managed to fit us in the weekend we should have been doing our originally scheduled tasting. Ron, Jamie, and Becky were all there , ready to help. They didn't even sweat it when our Uncle decided to drop in on us at the last second, and fed him as well. Ron's dishes were absolutely amazing; I think my favorite was the goat cheese "pillows". Everything looked beautiful as well, which really improved the experience.

It was a hard sell to get us to lose our previous deposit on our caterer and go with Simply Gourmet, but there was no way we were doing anything else after that excellent meal. Simply Gourmet was also happy to work with us on negotiating a price that was similar to our previous quote, which was hard to believe considering how much better they were.

As for the planning, Jamie and Becky were both hard working, friendly, and extremely helpful. Jamie remembered to cover things I wouldn't have even come up with. All in all, we were extremely satisfied.

Simply Gourmet was absolutely amazing. The food is fantastic and their service was great. Other than the food being perfect, they guided us every step of the way while deciding on what style of wedding we wanted to have. That included helping us with decisions on tables and table styles, chairs, linens and ideas for décor. The two owners are wonderful people who truly made our day perfect. I would recommend them to any couple who wants to be treated as part of the family and who want delicious food.

Simply Gourmet did a great job catering my wedding. The tasting was fantastic and Jamie and her team even made sure I actually got to eat during the wedding itself! (They brought the served appetizers to our waiting room before the "grand entrance", I think my wedding party ate like 2 trays of the Shrimp Louie!) She also did a wonderful job working with all the vendors (got married in Florida, but I live in California) and recommended a DJ who ended up making the whole day flow. I would definitely use them again (and in fact think my parents already have for a non-wedding event). Great service, amazing food, and a level of professionalism that helped the day go off without a hitch.

I truly can't say enough about Jamie and her staff at Simply Gourmet, everyone was amazing from the start of planning to wedding day. Jamie was very quick to get back to me and was a pleasure to work with. They will work with your budget, and truly care about making your wedding vision come to life. They can even help you with wedding decor such as linens. Aside from all of this their food is so good!! Everyone at our wedding loved it!! Simply Gourmet is the best all around catering company in my opinion! Owners Jamie and Larry make a dynamic duo - chef Larry creates amazing dishes and Jamie manages everything, including every detail at your wedding if you hire her to be your day-of coordinator, which I am SO glad I did. We had our entire wedding on the beach, and ended up with just under 100 guests all coming from the northeast. The weather turned rainy minutes before the ceremony, which undoubtedly presented challenges for all of the staff, but Jamie handled it all with finesse and no one had any idea of little glitches that may have popped up. I handed Jamie boxes of DIY and decor items to set-up the day of the wedding, and since I wasn't there to supervise, was a little worried, but Jamie set it all up to perfection! She also advised me on vendors and offered great recommendations based on her past experiences. It was really nice to be able to bounce ideas off Jamie and have her come back with her recommendations, knowing they have been around the business for a long time and have great relationships with all of the vendors in the Sarasota area. Now for the food...it's the BEST! What drew me to them initially was their promise of being a green company and making everything fresh and local when they can. You can taste the quality in every bite, and how much care they put into each dish. This is not your typical boring and tasteless banquet wedding food that we've all experienced. The tray passed h'ordeuvres were all so good and the buffet was creative and tasty. I had many guests comment on how good the food was. One of our guests came over in the middle of dinner to tell us how delicious each thing on her plate was! With 90+ guests, all coming from the northeast, this is a true testament to the quality of the food. Thank you Jamie, Larry, Becky and team!

HIRE THIS COMPANY!!! Chef Larry and Jamie Barrett make a flawless team! Our wedding was this past Saturday and all of our guests were raving about how great the food was. It was sooooo good! We received quite a few "this was the best wedding we've ever attended, and we've been to a lot of weddings" comments. We took advantage of Simply Gourmet's full service catering, so Jamie arranged all of our rentals, as well. I can't tell you how easy it was, having them do it all! From the tables, chairs, linens, glassware, flatware...even the dance floor, everything was customized to what we visioned for our day and it was executed to perfection. At first we weren't sure if we needed their wedding planning service, but I am SO SO SO glad we had Jamie as our planner, and at an amazingly low cost I might add. She was invaluable. As a bride, the last thing you want to be doing on your wedding day is wondering if the decor is in place and whether the ceremony musician is going to be on time. Jamie coordinated everything! From the moment I called Simply Gourmet to inquire about their catering service through the wedding day, I was confident that our wedding was in the right hands and we couldn't be happier with how it turned out. You are all outstanding people. I remember when my husband and I tried out a couple of caterers when we first got engaged and I remember sitting at our kitchen tables discussing who we were going to choose and Simply Gourmet was, by far, the best choice. Not only is there food amazing, but they are also the nicest people you have ever met. Jamie made us feel calm and she also made sure we were ready for whatever situation came our way. Jamie and her staff made my husband and I feel so comfortable. Not only did Jamie take care of Rob and I she made sure our moms were treated and felt like the mothers of the bride and groom. The day of our wedding went so smoothly, it was like all that hard work never happened and that is because of Jamie and her staff. Simply Gourmet’s staff helped make our day unforgettable. Jamie, Becky and ALL the staff we dealt with at Simply Gourmet for our 30th Vow Renewal Celebration were SIMPLY Wonderful!! Jaime worked with me to create a menu specific to our desires and honed the budget to get the most culinary sophistication for the best value. The Tasting proved invaluable and most of the evening's itinerary was laid out leaving me feeling confident and assured that we'd made a great choice. Becky The Wedding Planner was superb in organizing and keeping the event flowing without disrupting the fun...and she is the sweetest person I've ever encountered in such a demanding business. All through the evening, the staff members couldnt have been nicer in attending to my guests needs and we all were given every courtesy genuinely conveyed. The team at Simply Gourmet Sarasota was wonderful to work with. The company is run by a husband and wife team and they are very easy to work with and very personable. Me and my fiancé went in to meet with them for an initial tasting and had an immediate comfort and liking to not only the quality of the food but the warm staff. We were able to build our menu from scratch and completely customize it to our liking; Chef Larry is amazing and willing to work with you in order to make your ideal menu. Being a vegetarian this was really important to me because vegetarian options at weddings tend to be an afterthought and I did not want this to happen at my own wedding! They also offer the ability to purchase all items for the bar on your own, which was awesome because I was able to customize it to me and my husband’s favorite kinds of wine, beer & liquor as well as purchase everything at a fraction of the cost of paying a flat rate per guest. Jamie was amazing to work with as well, she knows the wedding industry and is able to organize and put together your ideas easily. It was such a lift off my shoulders that all I had to do was meet with Jamie or Becky and discuss what colors, theme, place setting, set up and timeline I wanted for the day of the wedding and they organized it all for me! The day of the wedding I did not have to worry about a thing, Simply Gourmet and their team did it all and MORE! They completely exceeded my expectations and even thought of and took care of things that I had not thought of or forgot to tell them about ahead of time. If you are looking for a company that provides great food, complete set-up/clean-up, wedding planning & day of coordinating along with a warm staff & worry free wedding day this is definitely the place to go!

Simply Gourmet exceeded my expectation for what a catering company can do. Not only did they provide excellent food (we are foodies so we are very critical of food) but Kathy Taylor acted as a wedding planner, helping us with all the details from decor, execution of the ceremony, creating timelines, confirming with other vendors, etc. You name it, Kathy took care of it. I highly recommend Simply Gourmet and I cannot thank them enough for their amazing services on one of the most important days of our lives. Thank you Kathy, Chef Barrett, and the amazing staff for taking such great care of us!

Jamie, Stephanie, and all the staff at Simply Gourmet were wonderful and happy to work with our budget and the fact that they handled the rentals was great too. I didn't have to go to another company and then get them to coordinate with Simply Gourmet for things I didn't even know I needed. Jamie was so helpful and flexible. The food was great! And all of my guests raved about it especially the garlic potatoes. Jamie thank you for making our special day run so smoothly. If I could rate them higher than 5 I would. This is the caterer I will suggest to my clients and friends.

Simply gourmet catered all the food for my wedding and also handled the rentals. The food was amazing! My guests are still talking about how great it was! They also provided day of coordination services for me. Becky was my day of coordinator, actually I should call her my month before coordinator and week after coordinator as well because she went above and beyond for me! Honestly I don't think everything would have turned out so perfectly if it wasn't for her! She is the best! She took care of everything I needed and did all the worrying for me! Everything turned out PERFECT and I definitely owe that to simply gourmet!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Saturday was the absolute best day of my life, and I have to give you SUCH a huge portion of the credit!! The food was amazing, but that was only the tip of the iceberg! You were more than just a caterer, you helped with everything! You calmed my nerves when the forecast called for rain, came up with an exceptional back-up plan, and made sure it was executed properly-- without me needed to do a thing!

Your staff was so kind, helpful and hardworking!! They would not let me lift a finger, and made sure that I had eaten everything that was out. At one point I was across the street taking pictures, and they came out to find me, and would not leave until I ate--- twice!! So amazing!! The day did not go as originally planned, but no one was the wiser and it was beautiful! You have been such a help throughout this whole process and I could not have been luckier to have found you!!!

Do you bottle your salad dressing?? Because I need some of that and your beef tenderloin on a stick :-)

Thank you for ALL your help throughout this whole year!! We are truly blessed that you came into our lives!! Please tell everyone that worked the rehearsal dinner and the wedding that they are so appreciated!! I am trying to think of a reason to have another catered event, just so I can work with you all again!!

I knew that I wanted to work with Simply Gourmet right away when I called them last year. They put a quote together for me right away, which also included day-of wedding coordination. Having the caterer as my day-of coordinator made a lot of sense as they had to coordinate with many of the vendors anyway.

Jamie and Becky were both there at our rehearsal and wedding day making sure everything was in order. They made sure I wasn't to worry about a thing, and I didn't!

What I like most about Simply Gourmet is that they are an established company in Sarasota that have worked with many many many vendors in the area. They know what works. They did a fanastic job and I would choose them again in a heartbeat. Thank you Jamie and Becky!

We absolutely love Simply Gourmet! Kathy was a fantastic event manager and helped us achieve a great menu for our wedding. We were able to select everything which made the menu feel more personalized. She and the wait staff did an amazing job setting everything up for us which gave us peace of mind the morning of the wedding. I highly recommend them!

It was really important to us to have great food at our wedding and Simply Gourmet gave us just that. The food was excellent and really creative. They worked with us to put together an amazing menu for our guests. As a vegetarian, I really appreciated the range of vegetarian & vegan options they could offer - not one of them pasta!! Chef Larry is a talented chef and Kathy was great to work with - very organized, professional & communicative. The staff were excellent and the event couldn't have gone better.

I am Asian and my husband is Latin. When were were looking for wedding caterers, we told each potential caterer to come up with an Asian-Latin fusion menu that would incorporate the two cultures. We did tastings with two different caterers. The first caterer we went to was a disappointment. However, Chef Larry completely understood our vision after we told Jamie about our different backgrounds. We met Chef Larry and Jamie at the tasting. They were professional, very friend, and extremely passionate about their food. And they should be because the food is delicious and unlike any other wedding food I've tasted. Chef Larry created two delicious options that fused the two cultures together. Two months before my wedding, Kathy Taylor called me to go over my wedding vision, from the food, the rentals, the decorations, to the timeline. She was beyond wonderful, extremely helpful, and very professional. I was planning the wedding from Orlando and Kathy made me feel at ease. Kathy also came to the wedding rehearsal to organize and run the rehearsal. We would have been lost and disorganized without her. On the day of my wedding, Kathy served as my day of coordinator (without any extra charge) and made my wedding day move flawlessly. She coordinated with all the vendors, made sure my decorating vision was carried out, and made sure we were on schedule. I was blown away by all the stunning details at my wedding and at how beautiful everything was. It was exactly how I had imagined. The food was delicious, unique, and beautifully presented. Words cannot express how satisfied and grateful I am with Simply Gourmet's expert touch and wonderful service. It was a pleasure to work with Chef Larry, Jamie, and Kathy!

I had the best experience ever with Simply Gourmet. Kathy was a dream to work with and she went above and beyond to make sure our wedding was perfect. She helped plan everything out for us, organized our rentals, coordinated with other vendors and was always quick to respond my questions. I truly don't know what I would have done with out her. On top of the excellent service, the food was fabulous. They have a wonderful variety of options to choose from, but you can't go wrong with any of it. I would highly recommend Simply Gourmet to anyone planning a wedding in Sarasota!

Jamie and the team at Simply Gourmet were more than amazing to work with. Jamie was always available to help us make decisions and offered us more than just great food. Jamie made sure that we had everything we needed for our big day - fantastic food, an amazing staff to tend to our guests, all of the necessary rentals, and much much more. She found ways to work with our budget and provided us services that took catering to the next level. She even helped us at our rehearsal and on the day of the event to make sure that our ceremony and reception flowed perfectly. If it weren't for her experience, we would have been absolutely lost.

Simply Gourmet exceeded all my expectations in my daughter's wedding at the Powel Crosley Estate. Larry and Jamie, the owners, went over and beyond to work with us during the planning and offered excellent choices and advise. I chose them because they were so excited about the food and wanting to make our special event the best it could be. We had over 170 guests for a cocktail hour with passed hor'dourves that were amazing, the guests could not stop talking about them. Then we served a beautifully plated dinner that was excellent! Many of our guests were from New York, accustom to lavish NY Italian weddings and they were very complimentary and impressed with the food. I would recommend Simply Gourmet to anyone having any kind of event. They are personable yet professional and delivered on all levels.

Absolutely best Wedding food ever! Our family, friends & guests made a point of telling us this repeatedly. A week later and people still talking about the food and the service by Simply Gourmet. Most guests wanted the name of the caterer. Can't say enough about them including their Day Of Planner - Cathy - she was incredible throughout the entire wedding planning and the wedding from start to finish!

Jamie was wonderful to work with! She made sure that all the details were taken care of. Best of all the food was DECICIOUS! Not only was it beautifully presented but it tasted GREAT! They also had wonderful staff who was very attentive! Simply Gourmet will make your special day is a day to remember!
