I am obsessed with simply gorgeous

I am OBSESSED with Simply Gorgeous. Their team was so professional, talented and kind. I had the pleasure of Kelly and Laura for my bridal hair and makeup. The number one thing I did not want for my wedding was to have way too much makeup and feel so covered up. They were so sweet and absolutely crushed it. When I looked in the mirror I felt like the most beautiful version of myself. They took time to listen to my vision and inspiration even when I decided to change up my look last minute. I am so grateful that my wedding planner recommended them for hair and makeup. They came highly recommended for a reason. The entire team made the getting ready part of my wedding so fun and enjoyable. Not to mention all the bridesmaid looked absolutely gorgeous. Absolutely Beautiful!

The hair and makeup artists from Simply Gorgeous were absolutely amazing! They made myself and all of my bridesmaids feel so naturally stunning. They created unique looks while also listening to everyones thoughts/concerns/opinions/etc. Everyone was beyond thrilled with their final looks and we all got so many compliments all night long! Simply Gorgeous By Erin Is Amazing!

My entire bridal party and I had such an amazing experience working with Simply Gorgeous By Erin! They came highly recommended by my wedding photographer and they did not disappoint! I had a large bridal party with 13 bridesmaids and was initially worried that we would not all be able to be ready in time on the morning of the wedding. However, the Simply Gorgeous By Erin team was able to accommodate my large bridal party without any issue and met the hair desires of all of my bridesmaids. Melissa was the one who did my personal hair for my wedding and she was incredible. She made my vision of a slick, classic bun a reality and I am so thankful for her expertise and talents!

Simply Gorgeous was the BEST decision I made for my wedding was

The best thing I did for my wedding day was going with Simply Gorgeous as our hair and make-up vendor. The professionalism, quality, and talent is absolutely unmatched. Kelly and Laura showed up right on time (I should add the venue was out of state!) and did full hair and make up for me, the flower girls, my sister, mom, grandmother a few others. Everyone of us looked incredible and more importantly felt beautiful - myself included!! Beyond being a couple of the most skilled stylist I've had the pleasure of working with they were incredibly kind and warm.
The Simply Gorgeous team had me feeling confident months out from the wedding, calm and happy during the morning of the big day, and absolutely beautiful from the moment I left the house to the very end of the night. I highly recommend them!

Couldn’t be happier!

What appealed to me the most about Simply Gorgeous was the very first thing Erin said to me - that their goal is to make every bride feel like the most beautiful versions of themselves! I honestly cannot say enough about how true this statement was as this was exactly how I felt on my wedding day. I felt so beautiful, but still looked “like me”! Iris and Ashleyy were so attentive in asking me many questions to understand exactly what look I wanted and what I liked or disliked about different looks and it made me feel so comfortable and relaxed from day 1. All my girls had so much fun getting ready! Would highly recommend any bride to choose Simply Gorgeous to be part of their special day!

Perfection

I used Simply Gorgeous by Erin for my wedding hair and makeup and I was absolutely obsessed with my look!! My bridesmaids and mom also loved their looks. After doing the trial, I decided I wanted to change some things and they listened to exactly what I wanted. Melissa and Daisy were so nice and so easy to work with. Now I need to think of an excuse to get my hair and makeup done like that again! I got soo many compliments and my hair and makeup seriously lasted all night- and I was dancing for hours (and sweating)! I would highly recommend using Simply Gorgeous for your wedding!!!

Amazing experience

I had an absolutely amazing with Simply Gorgeous by Erin for my wedding. Firstly, our wedding was delayed due to COVID and they were understanding, flexible, and communicative. Secondly, the quality of their work and their professionalism is top tier. After my trial, I felt that while the makeup was stunning, it was just too much for me as a someone who rarely wears makeup on a day-to-day basis. Alisa called me and we talked about changes that I wanted to make, and she could not have been more understanding. On the day of the wedding, my makeup was 100% what I envisioned. Alisa is not only talented but is able to have the flexibility to cater to each person's individual style and tastes. Kelly was my hairstylist and I had a vision of what I wanted my aesthetic to be, and she delivered it to utter perfection. They were also on time, and we finished a full hour ahead of schedule with 8 women for hair and makeup. Cannot recommend this business enough!

Best Glam Squad ever!

When looking to book our hair and makeup team, I thought back to all the weddings I was in as a bridesmaid and what glam squad made me feel my best.. and that was Simply Gorgeous By Erin! Luckily our date was available and from initial consult with Erin (who is a bad ass boss lady with the kindest most empowering soul) to getting an epic trial with Kasia and Kelly - I knew me and my gals would be in great hands! The day-of team made us all feel so comfortable and confident. We all wanted to go a little more natural and they NAILED it, pulling out our best selves!! Cannot recommend SGBE enough for all those babes looking to feel good inside and out!

Incredible!

I got my hair and make-up done here for my Sikh wedding ceremony. I'd never actually been to a Sikh ceremony before, and I was really nervous about getting the look right. Laura was my stylist, and she was wonderful. The trial was really seamless and she did a wonderful job, but I completely changed my mind about what hairstyle I wanted a few weeks before the wedding and didn't have time for another trial. I sent photos of the new look to Laura, and on my wedding day she got it just perfect! After feeling so nervous about getting the look right, she put me at ease and made sure I felt confident in how I looked so that I could enjoy the day to the fullest - which I did!

Simply Gorgeous is simply perfect

Simply Gorgeous made me feel and look my absolute best for my wedding day. From the very beginning, starting with a phone call interview all the way to the finishing touches on the day of our wedding, I felt pampered and cared for. The online payment system helped to keep things on track, and the trials are a must do before the wedding, as you can really see what your wedding look will be and make adjustments as needed. I worked with Rachel for my Makeup and Nicole for my hair. Both ladies did an amazing job and had myself and 3 of my other ladies ready right on time and still able to do touch ups afterwards. I can't thank the Simply Gorgeous team enough!

Loved Simply Gorgeous!

I used Simply Gorgeous by Erin for my recent wedding and couldn't be happier with my choice. They were recommended to me by my sister. They communicated with me through the entire process and were always quick to get back to me if I had any questions or concerns. I had a trial that went wonderfully and then on the day of my wedding, I had two girls who came do hair and two girls who did make up for myself, the wedding party and the mothers. Everyone was absolutely gorgeous and the makeup lasted the entire night! I can't say enough good things about Simply Gorgeous by Erin, especially because everyone I met who worked there was amazing and so kind. I would absolutely recommend them, you will not be disappointed!

Melissa and Jessie are a dream!

Simply Gorgeous by Erin made the hair and makeup process for my wedding completely seamless and so simple! From the initial call with Samantha who answered every tedious question I had, to the day of with Melissa and Jessie- it was honestly one of the easiest parts of my wedding planning. Also, the whole payment process is flawless (not having to deal with cash on the day of is amazing).
Where do I even begin with Jessie and Melissa? My bridesmaids and I have gotten our makeup done numerous times for weddings and have never actually loved how we looked.... until Sunday. ALL of my bridesmaids, my mom and my mother-in-law could not stop raving about how much they loved their hair and makeup. Jessie and Melissa listened to exactly what each girl wanted and nailed their looks spot on. I changed my hair slightly from what we did at the trial and also wanted to add some greenery and a flower... Melissa was an actual magician making my hair look absolutely incredible! Jessie also knew how much I wanted to emphasize my eyelashes so she made sure to add a couple extra and really took the time to perfect my look- I really couldn't believe how flawless she made me look.
They were on time, very quick and precise with each girl and just so much fun to hangout with that day. Not to mention, they also were such a huge help when my bridesman needed helping tying his bow tie and again when I had a slight dress mishap. I truly wish I had another occasion coming up that I could get my hair and makeup done again- I would recommend them in a heartbeat!!!

For my wedding I wanted to pull out all the stops for hair and makeup, and Erin and her team exceeded expectations. I wanted everyone to feel comfortable and beautiful at the wedding, and with 7 women (myself and my mother included) this is no easy feat to accomplish all in one important day, but Simply Gorgeous came through. Each one of us got exactly what we asked for with our hair, and the makeup was flawless. I have seen examples of wedding makeup that looks way overdone where all the women all look exactly the same with the one size fits all Kardashian aesthetic, or where the women clearly look uneasy because they don't look like themselves, so I went into this with high expectations. Again, I cannot overstate this, Erin and team were able to identify our likes and dislikes, what we were comfortable with, and enhance our own features very easily and professionally and they truly did outstanding work. I would recommend definitely opting for lashes, I had to talk my mom into them and she was glad we did. These services are not cheap with a big group like mine, but to me it was worth every penny to feel beautiful on my wedding day, and to see all my girls and my mom practically glowing all night- not to mention how good all of our pictures came out! Erin very kindly even did my grandmother's brows at the last minute - she was getting ready at our house at the same time and had recently lost them to chemotherapy and was a little nervous about doing them herself. We all know how important brows are, and Grandma looked great! Seriously, any event in the future where I need my makeup done (or even just because) I'm booking with Erin, I know I'm in good hands.

Better late then never! My wedding was back in June and I still can look at my pictures with just joy because of how great everything turned out! From beginning to end Erin and her team were great! I messaged multiple makeup artists prior to booking with SGBE knowing that I already knew who I wanted and was shocked to have so many others not so nice in emails looking for information. One salon simply told me to check her website. Right from the start I was given a perfect break down of what everything was going to cost including mileage fee since we were not going to the salon the morning of my wedding. I had 11 girls that needed makeup the morning of my wedding with a time to be done by 1pm and was very nervous that we would not be ready on time, but deep down I knew that Erin and her assistant (which I cannot remember her name right now and I am so sorry!) were so professional and pros at this! I have had an awful experience at a past wedding with a horrible makeup artist and found it hard to trust anyone with such an important day that only comes around once! Erin was fabulous!! They arrived maybe five minutes late then discussed only because of summer shoreline traffic--however they called and checked in but it was no big deal! All of our makeup came out GORGEOUS!!! It stayed on all night and even into the next day! Makeup was a huge thing for me because my now husband made a big deal about not wanting to marry a clown...MEN! He loved it and could not believe how natural it looked and how beautiful I looked! I truly felt like a Princess the day of my wedding and I will look back on my pictures knowing how amazing my experience with SBGE was and how I wish I could do it all over again! Book with Erin and her team...you will be in amazing hands and your wedding morning will run so smoothly and you will make it to your wedding on time! I am so happy we chose Simply Gorgeous to do our hair and makeup. I had Alisa for makeup and Melissa for hair, and they made me look and feel more beautiful than I ever have. I also was a somewhat indecisive and difficult bride, but they put up with this over the entire year of planning and never gave me a hard time about it. On the day of I had originally booked 7 total hair and makeup services, but then had 15 girls who ended up wanting both hair and makeup. The girls made it work and had everyone ready and looking gorgeous in time. I don't know how they did it. They are true professionals, and so great at what they do. They were so also so fun to have around in the morning while we were getting ready. Thanks so much for doing such an amazing job ladies! You made me look and feel like a princess on my wedding day!

Simply Gorgeous by Erin made my wedding. I was so nervous about finding the right makeup artist because I am an Asian bride and have seen horrible makeup done on Asian brides. After speaking with Erin over the phone and seeing photos of her work I knew that I needed to book her team right away. I booked my makeup and hair for myself, mom, MIL, and bridesmaids almost 20 months in advance. The staff was amazing and always got back to me insanely quickly. My makeup artist was Alisa and she is THE BEST. She is hysterical and so down to earth. She did my makeup for both my engagement photos and my wedding and I trusted her with everything. She was able to get through 7 girls so quickly. Nicole did my hair and she was amazing as well. She is the absolute sweetest and can do amazing hairdos. These two ladies made me feel absolutely beautiful the day of my wedding. I just got my photos back from my photographer and cannot get over how amazing my hair and makeup looked. At the end of the night, on a long, hot, humid, and busy day, my makeup and hair looked like they were just done. My bridesmaids loved their looks as well. My mom and MIL were a little nervous not having had their makeup done before and throughout the night I caught themselves looking in the mirror smiling. This is by far the best place to get your bridal makeup and hair done hands down.

I booked Simply Gorgeous by Erin for my Indian wedding at the very last minute (3 days before the wedding!) due to an unfortunate circumstance with the previously booked makeup artist. My wedding planner had emailed Erin and Erin was so quick to respond that we were able to book, deposit and review contracts within 24 hours. Erin and her team were great in answering questions with such a short amount of time. We didn't have the opportunity to do a trial so we jumped right in with hair and makeup at the salon for my Sangeet and they such an amazing job. They did better than the people who originally did my trial! My bridesmaid and I were at the salon and we had so much fun talking to the team, joking around, and everything was so relaxing at such a stressful time. The team that came out to our venue was so great and efficient! They had a limited amount of time (only 4 hours) and 10 girls to get ready, including myself. At no point did anything feel rushed with the team, they were completely relaxed and easy going. My previous vendor was very anxious about my very heavy veil and traditional headpieces but not the Simply Gorgeous team. They were so knowledgeable and at ease with placing the tikka for myself and all of the bridesmaids and incorporating the headpieces into the hairdos. The hair and makeup came out absolutely beautiful for everyone that got it done, there were so many compliments! And the best part was that it lasted until the next night! I woke up and didn't even have to do my hair or makeup. I highly recommend Simply Gorgeous by Erin for your hair and make up needs and I look forward to going to their salon in the future!

I LOVE this team!!!!!!!! I happened to find them for my wedding by just looking at reviews online and giving them a call! I trusted that they were going to be great due to the reviews, but let me tell you after several appointments with them they truly are amazing!! I not only used them for my engagement session, bridal shower, makeup and hair trials, but I also used them for my wedding day on 6/18. The team is professional, on time, caring, talkative, and easy to get along with. All of my bridesmaids could not stop talking about how great the team was. Everyone's hair & makeup lasted all day (12+ hours) They were so professional and welcoming to all. I already have booked them again this summer for an upcoming wedding I am attending as a guest because going in for hair and makeup with them is SUCH a TREAT! The Simply Gorgeous team is simply the best! The lovely ladies provided hair and makeup for myself (bride), bridesmaids and moms. I reached out to owner, Erin, about a year before the wedding and worked with Julie to coordinate all trials and wedding day logistics. Julie was professional, organized and made it a seamless process! My makeup trial was held in June on the day of my shower with Jocelyn. My hair trial was held in August with Lisa. There wasn't a thing I wanted to change and both artists replicated the look for the big day!

Our wedding was held at the Marquee in Hartford so we were able to get ready at the Residence Inn next door the morning of. The hair and makeup artists arrived at 9 am and were complete by noon, just in time for pictures. We even had a fire drill right as they arrived, had to walk down 12 flights of stairs, but all remained calm.

The artists provided such a great job and everyone's hair/makeup looked perfect throughout the night. My junior bridesmaids (twin cousins - age 12) had so much fun getting pampered. What I loved the most is that the artists asked what everyone was comfortable with in terms of makeup and hair. A few of my ladies are not huge makeup people, so their look was made softer.

Huge thanks to Erin and her team for helping me, the moms and bridesmaids look and feel our best on the big day.

I highly recommend Erin and her team for your wedding day beauty needs! To start, I communicated a lot with Julie and she never seemed annoyed by my many questions or concerns. She was extremely professional and always able to get back to me if I had questions.

I had my hair trial with Melissa & the first try was amazing...Melissa is an extremely talented hair stylist and her work was BEAUTIFUL. Melissa gave off a pleasant vibe that made me feel relaxed and at ease. She was helpful in helping me decide which style would be best for me. I was able to show her something I liked & she took it from there. From my mom, to my girls, and my own everyone's hair was gorgeous!!!

I had Erin as my makeup artist and her work is flawless. My trial was in August and I left feeling confident with the eye colors I had chosen. However, as the night went on I started to feel I went too dark on the lid and emailed Erin immediately with my concerns and hoping we could adjust this the day of my wedding. Erin got back to me timely and assured me that the changes I wanted were minor and would be no problem at all. Well, she was right and then some..Erin was able to lighten my lid but still incorporate the pretty dark colors that I wanted originally. I absolutely LOVED the changes and appreciated Erin working with me to make sure what I envisioned is what I got. Most importantly, my hair and makeup lasted ALL DAY and NIGHT. My lips were the only thing I had to touch up here & there, obviously. Side note- both girls arrived on time & I felt no stress at all during the getting ready process which is a major bonus.

Again- I would absolutely recommend Erin & her team to anyone for their wedding day or any other special event! Thank you Erin, Melissa & team!

Saying Erin and her team did a fantastic job with hair and makeup for our wedding would be an understatement. I went to one other place besides Simply Gorgeous for hair and makeup trials, and it paled in comparison to Erin and her team! I loved working with them because they are professional, talented, creative and definitely deliver. On our wedding day, there were 4 bridesmaids, myself (the bride) and the mothers of the bride and groom all getting hair and makeup done at the hotel before heading out to the venue. Our photographer had warned us that hair and makeup is often where you lose time and get behind schedule, but not with Erin and her team! Rest assured that they will get you done, and looking gorgeous, on time! On our day Erin and Melissa each had an assistant, and all did an amazing job. They worked with the bridesmaids and the moms to give them the look they wanted, and all of them were stunning! The hair and makeup did not move or fade whatsoever, and everyone was IN LOVE with their look.
I could not recommend Erin and her team more. They are absolutely amazing - the only ones you want for your wedding day!!

I was very impressed with their professionalism as well as punctuality! If there was any concern or questions, Erin contacted me herself. Alisa, Nicole and Melissa exceeded my expectations and made hair and makeup the easiest and relaxing part of my wedding day. I have to admit I was nervous initially because my mother and my bridesmaids are very 'particular' when it comes to their hair and makeup. Erin and her team were one of the best decisions I made for my wedding day.

Booking and contracts were very easy and organized, and Erin's assistant, Julie, replied promptly and thoroughly with any questions that I had during the process.

During the trial, Erin was so helpful and informative, even giving suggestions on skincare to help me out with my stress acne a month before my wedding. I like that Erin took the time before booking to explain the type of airbrush that they use, since I had a horror story with another well-known make-up company in the area about make-up not lasting. She explained that since they use a silicone based product, versus a water-based product, that it lasts longer, WHICH IT DID.

On my wedding day, Erin truly kept me calm and collective when I wanted to rip my hair out. I had a fairly large bridal party that she and her assistant flew through with ease. Everyone was over the moon about their make-up, and raved about her talent and expertise. My maid of honor even said she had gotten her make up done many times, but this was the only time she truly felt beautiful. Erin even changed up my look last minute on the fly per my request, and I LOVED it, even more than my trial. Her skills are truly something to be admired.

I thought I had struck gold with an amazing make-up artist (which I did!) but what truly sealed the deal and I will remember for years to come was her willingness to truly go above and beyond for her client. One of my flower girls had broken the zipper on her dress and started crying, thinking she wouldn't be able to go down the aisle. Without even a moment's hesitation, Erin stepped in, gathered a needle and thread (that I still don't even know where she got from!) and sewed the zipper back together, making sure all was right with my wedding world, and taking extra time from her day to make sure mine went smoothly.

Erin and her team were truly a Godsend to me on my wedding day!

When it came time to choose hair and makeup services for my wedding, there was no doubt that I would be using Simply Gorgeous by Erin. I booked Erin and her team a year prior to our wedding day and I couldn't have been more pleased with the level of professionalism I received from that day forward, between Julie answering all my questions, helping me book my trials while accommodating my hectic work schedule, to the day of the wedding and making myself and all of my ladies look and feel beautiful.

When Erin and her team arrived on the day of the wedding, they set up and got right to work as they had 13 ladies to do hair and makeup on! As many brides know, timelines/mornings don't always go the way you planned, but when I was sitting in that chair to get my make-up done, Erin kept me at ease. I trusted Erin and her team completely. Erin found a way to compliment the features of every person, and enhance their beauty. Each and every one of my bridesmaids loved their hair and makeup - and that speaks volumes!!

Erin was positively a-mazing. Truly an artist! During our trial, I showed her some pictures of what I thought I wanted my wedding look to be--and what she created was even more beautiful than I could have possibly imagined. And that was only the trial!

Like many brides, I was feeling pretty stressed and anxious on my wedding day. There was so much to get done, so little time, and I'm not someone who is good at delegating. So when Erin arrived to our hotel room (promptly at the agreed upon time!), I immediately felt a shift in the dynamic of the room.

Erin exudes calm. She's so professional and to the point, but is also very warm. My hairstylist (who is not affiliated with Erin) was 45 minutes late and that caused everything to be pushed back--so instead of going 3rd with Erin, I ended up having to go last. But Erin never once made me feel rushed--even though I know she had another bride and bridal party to go to after ours! She patiently tweaked a few things and when I was worried that the lipstick that I had purchased was too pink, she explained that it wouldn't read too pink in pictures and even took a picture to show me. I was sad to see her leave because I wanted that calming aura around still! But she did a phenomenal job--topping the trial! And I was so, so, so, happy with what she created.

Girls spend their entire lives dreaming about their wedding day and what they're going to look like. I think investing in a great makeup artist is equally as important as investing in a great photographer. The wedding was such a blip on the radar, I cannot believe how quickly it went by and what a whirlwind it was. But I'm so very thankful to have pictures that will last a lifetime--and I'm beyond thrilled at how beautiful my makeup looked.

Erin is extremely talented (and kind) and I recommend her absolutely and completely!

Alisa from Simply Gorgeous by Erin is the so sweet, so funny, and made my wife and I feel so beautiful and happy on our wedding day! They were very flexible in accommodating us to come in for a trial (since we were coming from Boston and didn't have a lot of availability to come to Connecticut) and we both loved out makeup. Alisa was super responsive to feedback, but also such a pro at making suggestions and choices for both of us, as we tend to be eyebrows, mascara, and go kind of people! On the day of the wedding seeing Alisa was something we both looked forward to - she's genuinely fun to talk to and made us look and feel awesome without looking like someone other than who we are. She also did makeup for both of our mothers, and even though my mom as VERY hesitant about wearing makeup and having her makeup done, she looked and felt awesome. We can't recommend Alisa and Simply Gorgeous by Erin enough!

My wedding was October 26. I am so very happy with Erin and her teams work for our wedding! Erin is a pleasure to work with and was able to accomodate all of our day-of beauty needs. Her make-up application is flawless. I do not wear a lot of make-up regularly so I feared the day of "caked on" feeling and look. Erin's air-brushed foundation application and stunning eye make-up was perfect for me. My maid of honor, youngest cousin, and mom were all very happy with their make-up too. Erin was also able to bring in Lyndsy to help with my bridesmaids hair. She did 5 updos in 2.5 hours - what a pro! Erin and Julie both worked on my wedding party (7 women) and they both did an amazing job. Together, they were able to finish everyone over an hour early, but this was done without any of us feeling rushed at all. I felt gorgeous on my wedding day and received so many compliments all through the night. The wedding party, including my mother and mother in law, all looked beautiful as well!

Erin was very professional throughout the entire experience and was always very responsive. Erin has a very calming way about her work, which is definitely a good quality to have in someone who is helping you get ready for your wedding day!

Erin did the makeup for myself and 4 other ladies in my bridal party and everyone looks amazing. Erin finds a way to compliment the features of each person that are already beautiful and enhance them without making them look made up. Erin has a very calming demeanor which is great leading up to the wedding, but invaluable on your wedding day. My whole bridal party commented on it. Her skills are tremendous, not only did I feel gorgeous, so did the 9 women in the bridal party with ages ranging from 7-70! Erin and her assistant traveled from CT to NY for the wedding day and were at the salon set up and ready to go before we even arrived. They finished an 1 1/2hrs early without ever rushing. They listened and were open to suggestions from the bridal party and everyone left happy! I would absolutely recommend Simply Gorgeous by Erin not only for your wedding, but for any occassion where you want to look your best!

Everyone looked so beautiful!!!!! It was very convenient having her come to the house...it really was a huge help to make sure everyone was ready on time. Erin was amazing since our very first email correspondence. She was professional and friendly, and was timely in her responses (Something that seems easy to come by with wedding professionals, but in fact is not.) She had a way about her that made me feel at ease with my decision to book a trial with her. Upon meeting Erin, she exuded style, warmth and expertise. I knew within 5 minutes of being in her presence that I wanted her to do the makeup for me and my girls on my wedding day. Once I looked in the mirror upon completion of my trial, my decision was solidified times 10! She absolutely nailled the "Old Hollywood Glam" look that I was going for. Simply Gorgeous by Erin was outstanding!
My trial went amazing. She emailed me back swiftly when I had concerns about covering up some tanlines. She is so incredibly knowledgeable. I even changed the time for her to arrive at my house (at 6:30am!!) to do make up for me and 4 other girls less than a week before the wedding. She did it all willingly, happily, and professionally. To me, you cannot put a price on feeling exceptionally beautiful ALL day on the most important day of your life. And when I say ALL day, I mean my make up didn't smudge or run from 10:00am til 11:00pm. I just cannot say enough about Erin. She is fabulous!

For being a person that doesnt wear much makeup she knew exactly how to beautify me so I'd feel comfortable, beautiful, and confident. Erin has such great talent and is an amazing artist- she cares about not only making you look amazing but she shows a true care for people and her clients. Connection for me is a great thing...Simply Gorgeous by Erin would be the first I'd ever recommend for any event!!! Amazing! Great attitude, great service, and is very professional!!!

As a Mother of the Bride, I thought using a makeup artist was only for the young. Erin made me feel so relaxed and comfortable with it...she was such a happy, friendly person. She kept us all laughing through the day. I have some health issues that are obvious in my skin. Her techniques and skill made me look 20 years younger and healthy again!!! I walked into her wedding feeling joyous, health and energized - it made my day!!

I was so happy to have found Erin! Not only did she do a fabulous job on my makeup for my wedding, she has also been great to do business with. I have been lucky enough to work with her at my studio where she hosted workshops that taught clients how to feel confident with their makeup and technique. Erin has done my make-up for several occasions (weddings, special events, night-on-the-town, etc) and it is always flawlessly beautiful. Heaven Sent!
I can not express enough how pleased I was with this team of artists. I had the pleasure of working with Julie and Meghan (Make Up Artists) & Melissa and Vanessa (Hair Stylists) the day of my wedding. These girls were welcoming to the whole wedding party, and helped me ease my nerves. I was an emotional mess that day! A huge thank you to Julie as she held Q-tips in the corners of my eyes as I read the letter from my now husband so the tears wouldn't ruin my gorgeous make-up. Now that is customer service! These girls are not just makeup artists or hair stylists they are genuine, and caring women! When one of my vendors fell short with my hair piece, and I sat there crying because I thought my dream day was ruined.This team got together and assembled the most elegant arrangement with random floral and dental floss to twine into my hair. I still swoon over how amazing my hair looked that day! They stood by my side and did not leave us until we felt amazing, and made sure we looked our best! I had a large group, 8 Bridesmaids, and 2 mothers so it was a total of 11 woman. I do have to rebuttal to the review stating below that they do not recommend this company for larger groups. I think this team did an amazing job and exceeded our exceptions. The owner Erin is the sweetest, though she was booked for the day of my wedding. I did have the pleasure of having my hair and make up done by her for another photo-shoot I did . And was very pleased!
I am a Simply Gorgeous Girl!
& I would not recommend another company to a fellow bride!

I loved feeling like a Goddess with Erin's team. Erin, another artist and 2 hair stylists came to me on my wedding day. From beginning to end they showed professionalism and loved to laugh with my bridal party. From the moment I contact her, the office manager was very responsive and they were very flexible with my hectic schedule when I need to come in for my makeup and hair pre-trials. I looked like I was ready for a ball but not overdone like a pageant queen. Highly recommend!

Beautiful hair and makeup!

I really wanted a natural look for my wedding, and the team at Simply Gorgeous by Erin created exactly that. They listened to me, were willing to experiment with options, provided excellent and consistent service despite the fact that - because we had to postpone due to Covid - neither of the stylists I saw for my trial were available on the wedding day. On the morning of, the stylists who did come not only created beautiful looks for the whole wedding party, but they had such a warm and calming presence while we were getting ready.

Simply Gorgeous by Erin did the hair and makeup for our bridal party (including two brides--both over the age of 45, two bridesmaids and a mom). Both of us brides never felt more beautiful in our life. Being older women and not big on lots of makeup, our stylists got us! Our biggest worry was that we would be made up in some cookie cutter way rather than how we wanted. No problem--they were professional, good listeners, and excellent at their craft. We looked beautiful and felt comfortable. We did a practice prior to the wedding which I recommend. However, the makeup and hair they did for the bridesmaids without a practice was perfect as well. Alisa did our makeup and was fun, confident and comfortable. I was concerned the eyelashes would be too much but I trusted her recommendation and am glad I did. She made us look glamorous but not fake! Nicole did our hair and did exactly what we were wanting only better! They arrived at our venue early and were organized and prepared. We ended up running a bit over time and they rolled with it. We just couldn't have been happier with the whole experience! And of the photos we've seen, we haven't even needed to photoshop--pretty amazing :) With all the time, energy, money and love that went into our wedding, it would have been disappointing if we didn't feel beautiful. Erin and Melissa from Simply Gorgeous did a fabulous job providing onsite hair and makeup services for my Sept 19th wedding - everyone looked amazing! I wanted all of my bridesmaids and moms to have exactly the look and style that they liked best, and Erin and Melissa did a great job giving everyone what they wanted and also making sure everyone looked good together for pictures. We all looked like enhanced versions of ourselves - natural yet glamorous, and it all looked great in-person and also in photos (which is important!) We also had 1 person in our party who was a bit anxious and skeptical about having hair and makeup done at all (every group of women has to have a difficult one, right?), and Erin and Melissa were so gracious and kind in dealing with this potentially awkward situation. I'll also mention that this business, in general, is very organized and keeps detailed notes about the logistics of your wedding party and payments etc on their online portal, which I appreciated. My trial, also, was great and collaborative - we went through a few different ideas and I got to know the ladies well in those few hours. Erin and Melissa are both super nice and fun, but equally professional and dedicated to giving you exactly what you ask for within the timeframe you need it (which is also really important on your wedding day!) I would lastly note that probably the only reason why other brides might hesitate to book with Simply Gorgeous is the price - they are certainly not the cheapest hair and makeup artists in the area. The hair and makeup for myself and my wedding party was supremely important, and I felt that their talent, professionalism, organization, the convenience of having them onsite, and their time-management focus made Erin and Melissa worth the cost. As an out-of-state bride, I didn't worry about them at all- I had total faith that they would come to my venue on time and knock it out of the park, which they did. I completely recommend them!

I would absolutely recommend Simply Gorgeous by Erin! Every interaction I had with Erin's team was friendly, clear, and efficient. Coordinating a time for a trial was easy to do and the team was flexible - making sure they would be able to do my hair and makeup at the same visit so I could see the whole "look" together!

The team's work on my wedding day, both for me and the bridesmaids, exceeding all expectations. I had changed my vision significantly for both hair and makeup since the trial, but the hair and makeup team seamlessly adjusted to my needs.

For me, one of the best aspects of working with Simply Gorgeous by Erin was how calm, friendly, and diligent her crew is! They were working hard on my wedding morning to get all of the ladies ready in time, but they kept a relaxed and friendly attitude - which was invaluable!!

The team at Simply Gorgeous by Erin was awesome! After a trial with a makeup artist from a different company that I wasn't thrilled with, I was having trouble trying to find a team to accommodate my very large bridal party only a few months before my wedding. My venue recommended Simply Gorgeous by Erin. After having a great trial (Nicole did an awesome job with my hair and makeup) I booked them for myself, bridesmaids and moms. Communication was great leading up to the event, Julie from the team was super responsive and helpful. They were also flexible about payment -- it took some time to collect money from my bridal party and they were super accommodating about this.

On the day of the event, Nicole and the other stylists and makeup artists were on time, efficient and everyone was very happy with the service!

A few very minor things that could have been improved -- while I was getting on a train from NYC for my trial I got a call from Erin that my stylist/artist called in sick. It was momentarily stressful, that being said, she totally worked it out and found someone else and comped lunch for me and my sister while I had a gap between hair and makeup. Very professional and I understand these things happen!
The day before my wedding I got another call that one of the makeup artists couldn't work the whole time due to a last minute family obligation. Again, a bit stressful, but I worked with Julie on a solution (the other makeup artist worked more hours). She was very apologetic.
Last, I had sent a detailed timeline to Julie. I had my time down from 10:30 - noon. We were running on time on the day of the wedding but halfway through my service, my stylist said"you need to be ready at 12:30, right? I corrected her that I needed to be done at noon and she made it happen, but seemed like my timeline was never communicated to her. Again, momentarily stressful, but it all worked out. Despite these few little things, I highly recommend Simply Gorgeous by Erin!

After several failed hair and makeup trials elsewhere I was very doubtful that I would be able to find a hair and makeup team that would provide exactly what I wanted. Simply Gorgeous by Erin truly delivered. Myself and my wedding party felt and looked so beautiful! Both Nicole and Alisa were extremely professional and worked efficiently and promptly.
Nicole was our hair stylist and did such an outstanding job! My up-do was so intricate and perfectly executed. Weeks later I am still getting compliments on how it looked!
The airbrushed makeup by Alisa was flawless and stayed on all night despite all of the crying (happy tears of coarse) and hours of dancing. In addition, my mom, who was my matron of honor, had just finished 5 weeks of radiation therapy leaving her chest badly burned. The dress she was wearing wouldn't conceal all of the redness on her chest so Alisa made sure to airbrush that area for her. The results were remarkable! My mom and I are so grateful for Alisa to be so accommodating.
Despite being a bit more costly then other wedding hair and makeup places, they certainly will not disappoint. You will be guaranteed an amazing job!

Melissa and Rachel are the best!

The hair and makeup for myself and my bridesmaids turned out awesome on the day of my wedding. Everyone looked so beautiful! The only negatives were how difficult it was to get in touch with Johanna. I'm in meetings all day so calling is not an easy option but emails go unanswered and would need to send follow ups. Another negative was that three of my bridesmaids did not get airbrush makeup. They assured me all the makeup they do is airbrush but come to find out later my bridesmaids told me the assistant makeup artist did not offer it to them. The makeup still turned out beautiful but it's a bummer when you think you're paying for all airbrush. On a more positive note, Rachel and Melissa were so awesome and made me feel so beautiful! I'd definitely recommend Simply Gorgeous by Erin, just make sure to clarify the day of you want airbrush for everyone :)

My bridal party and I looked amazing!

I came here for my bridal hair and makeup along with my bridesmaids and mom. We were able to get out on time and everyone looked amazing! I also came here to get my eyebrows micro-bladed months ago and it still looks amazing. I will continue to come here for touch-ups and would definitely recommend for bridal hair/makeup

Simply Gorgeous Review

Loved the makeup look for me and my bridesmaids. The makeup artist and hairstylist both did my trial and day-of look. The makeup artist asked for feedback on the trial and did a great job of adjusting day of to make the look perfect. The hair style was okay, but not great. I gave some feedback from the trial, but the day of look wasn't exactly what I was looking for - too poofy up top and not really as voluminous all around. as I wanted. The hair pins I used also fell out a few hours in. I will say, however, that my bridesmaids' hair looked great, especially the up-dos. If you're doing an updo or braid, I'd definitely recommend.

Made my wedding planning MORE stressful

The makeup artist and hair stylist for my wedding were absolutely wonderful. Alisa and Melissa are extremely talented and were professional, fun, and attentive before and at our wedding day. I also had a makeup lesson and an eyelash lift/tint at Simply Gorgeous that were done very well. This review should not reflect poorly on them, but the business. I booked with Simply Gorgeous in April 2018 for a wedding in June 2019. At the time of my booking, I spoke with Erin and informed her that I was booking with them because my normal hair stylist does wedding hair with them and I wanted her to do my wedding hair. At that time, I also discussed that I had not selected my bridesmaids and was not entirely certain who would want to get hair and makeup done. Erin recommended I book for 5 people, plus me, as that would reserve two staff for each service in the event we needed two. She did not mention that I could not change this number later on. In January 2019, the office assistant reached out to obtain my second round of payment. I updated her on the number of people receiving services and was very surprised to hear that I was not allowed to change the number. I asked to speak with Erin, as I had my initial discussion with her. I told her that I "felt lead astray" by the recommendation to book for 5 plus me on our earlier call and she yelled at me stating that she was "not going to get into an accusatory discourse" with me. She went on to gloat about her "significant legal expertise" and how all this information was in the contract that I signed in April 2018 (I signed it while I was on the phone with her and take full responsibility for not reading it thoroughly). I expressed disappointment in her not providing the full details with me, particularly considering I was forthcoming about not knowing how many people I was having. I also expressed concern over her claims that she wants to make brides feels special/empowered on their wedding day, but was now requiring I alter my wedding day vision (I ultimately decided on a small wedding party so it would be more relaxed). Ultimately, she allowed me to apply the excess funds to other services in the salon, but she did not apologize or express any remorse for my negative experience (she said "other people dont say these things about us"). In addition to this mishap, I learned immediately before my trial that my hair stylist was not booked to do my wedding hair. I reached out again and was told by Erin that my stylist was already booked for another wedding and had done the trial and that it would affect her wedding day to change it (as if it doesnt affect my day). Erin said she didnt know how that happened because she recalled my requesting the specific stylist, but again, no apology. My final frustration with SGBE was the payment system. Invoices are sent electronically but cannot be paid electronically (even though it says they can be). I called in repeatedly to provide payment information and was never called back. They then charged the card they had on file (which was not the card I wanted to use) without telling me they did so (I got a receipt via email). The office manager claimed to have called and left messages which I never got (I did receive calls/texts/emails from my stylists). SGBE was the only wedding vendor I had ANY issues with and truthfully was the primary cause of wedding planning stress for me. They have many reviews on Yelp indicating similar experiences in the salon-I unfortunately did not see those before booking.

I have to say, I was actually really upset with the experience that I had with this make up artist. It was so disappointing, after reading the really great reviews that she had. While my makeup came up fine and I have no complaints about the part it was the rest of the experience that let me down. First, I told her about the location and logistics of the wedding. She gave with an estimate of the fees which I though was fair, so I sent in a deposit. I didn't get a contract in the mail until about five months later, and she had increased the travel fees! In fact, the travel fee was three times what my hair stylist was charging me to travel to the same place. If I had known this five months earlier, I would have used someone else, at that point it was too late.
One the day of the wedding, she first showed up late when she had assured me she likes to arrive fifteen minutes early. When everyone arrived, she realized she left her makeup stool where she was picked up, so there was another delay to get started. The whole time, we were running behind schedule, which made the whole getting ready process very stressful, when it should have been enjoyable. Luckily someone dropped out, otherwise we would have been even more behind schedule. At one point, even though we were running behind, she spilled makeup on her skirt and STOPPED the makeup application so she could try to clean up. I didn't understand why this couldn't wait until after she was done, as the wedding should have been her top priority at that point.
Next, my MOH asked Erin if she could just do her eye makeup. She said yes but that she couldn't tell anyone that the rest of the makeup was her work. My MOH was a little offended by this, that she declined.
Lastly, she forgot to give me the lipgloss, lipstick and straws that she had promised and that were in my contract.
Overall, I was very upset and it added unnecessary stress to my wedding day.

I used Simply Gorgeous by Erin for my large bridal party and family (12 people). After several organized payments completed, the artist sprung $20 extra per person for strips of lashes day of. Everyone looked great but this misunderstanding put a huge damper on my wedding prep. The bridesmaids lashes aren't listed in the contract or on the website. There was no one to discuss this with day of since the owner was doing a different wedding, so we paid it. After spending just shy of $4,000 on their services this additional fee should have been more clear (or included). After reaching out to the company, they took no ownership for the error but did add the fee to the website. Unfortunately, I would not feel comfortable using them again or recommending them.

I had a large bridal party (8 girls) plus an additional three who were getting their hair done. I would not recommend this vendor for large bridal parties. Definitely the most frustrating experience I had with my wedding planning - because I had a large party I had to make a couple of changes and Erin was hard to get a hold of and mainly left it up to her hair stylist and beautician to respond to my emails (both of whom work full time jobs during the week). I had to sign and resign contracts based upon every change , and make multiple deposits that became very confusing and hard to keep track of. I also added a second hair dresser who was not as skilled and it was very apparent right after she styled the first girl's hair (and the fee to add a second hair stylist was very expensive). It was just very unorganized and stressful. I also never received the promised lipstick or lip gloss that went with my make up package the day of my wedding. On a positive note, my particular hair stylist did a great job and my make up also came out really nice. They were also all on time and very professional. I think if you have a small bridal party who are decisive, you won't have a problem with this vendor.

Do no recommend

I got my trial done and didn’t like my makeup. I asked for another stylist and was told no one else is available. That I can redo my trial with Erin watching. Not really sure how that would change anything, but they expected me to pay for another trial with the same person! Ridiculous.

Unprofessional

I am here to speak truthfully about my experience with most specifically, Erin. I am whole heartedly advising no bride to book with this group. Unfortunately, I was in a very vulnerable position a few months back when I decided to move forward with my wedding during COVID. I should have done my due diligence. I signed a contract with Simply Gorgeous before receiving a trial. When the time finally came, after being rescheduled many times (this is where the lack of consideration came in), I was displeased with the entire experience. I don't want to bash the stylist, it just simply wasn't a good fit. I finally spoke to Erin about this, simply asking if I could get another stylist. Forewarning, they only promote certain hair stylists & makeup artists, the girl who did my trial is nowhere to be found on her Instagram, and in general with any service I've ever received I was informed who would be working with me. I mean it is my WEDDING DAY. The second I talked to Erin, I knew what I was in for. Extremely defensive and refused to understand that I was her client, on the most important day of my life. Everything that I said she twisted it into me really just being delusional. I wasn't there to slander, bash or hurt anyone's feelings. I solely wanted a different stylist and to really work with this team. She only offered a second trial, with the same hair stylist while she watched. I mean what? As women we know what works and what doesn't. Not to mention that would have been awkward and I didn't want that vibe on my wedding day especially. The conversation got so bad I had to cancel. Now, this is where the true colors really shined bright. She sent me a NDA where I had to sign stating I wouldn't dispute any charges, or discuss her business in any way. I reached out once more trying to reach an understanding and was met with, again, blame on me, absolutely no refund for services not even rendered, that I still owed her and some legal talk. It really truly blows my mind how anyone can pride themselves in making women feel amazing on their wedding day but treat someone with such disrespect. I only wanted to work with someone else, I never even brought up a refund until I felt severely taken advantage of. This woman is out for money and that is it. Please be hesitant, request a trial beforehand, if she will even grant it. I was left ONE WEEK before my wedding with no hair or makeup artists for my bridesmaids, and had to spend thousands more to book new ones
