We really enjoyed working with Simply Fresh Events for our wedding at Stone Tower Winery in Leesburg, VA. Maya our event producer, was so patient with us going through all the many ideas we had and tweaks we made to the menu throughout the planning process. Our guests have been raving about the food since our wedding. Some of the biggest hits were the brown butter lobster rolls at our cocktail hour and the late night fries and pretzel bites station during the reception. Our guests also loved the firepit smores outside. Overall it was a great experience for us and our guests! -

Simply Fresh Events was simply the best. The food was outstanding and raved about by all the guests. The package was all-inclusive and included rentals and bartenders in one lump sum, for ease. Outside of that, Maya Murphy, was my coordinator and she went above and beyond. I did not have to worry about a thing, she handled things I didn't even know need to be handled. She created my floorplan, turned over the event space seamlessly, and continuously brought me and my now husband food and drinks as we were too busy to do so ourselves. I would not hesitate to recommend Simply Fresh Events or Maya Murphy to anyone and everyone! -

We are so happy with went with Simply Fresh as our wedding caterer! Our tasting with Simply Fresh was the best one we went to (from the food to the experience) and boy did they deliver on the big day too. Buffy and her team made us feel special from the jump and Maya was our amazing coordinator throughout the entire process. From the food to all our needed and desired rentals, Simply Fresh had everything we needed and had all the options for us to bring our vision to life. Our guests had a variety of dietary preferences and restrictions, and Simply Fresh had a delectable menu option for everyone, from meat eaters to pescatarians, to gluten-free, to SUCH good vegan options. We recommend Simply Fresh without hesitation for your special day! -

I grew up hearing how wedding food is notoriously awful. Not simply fresh. Not only was it the best wedding meal I've ever had (and it was my own wedding!), I wish they had a restaurant so we could go back and order our wedding food for a night out! Working with Maya was seamless, and she made planning and decision making a breeze leading up to our wedding. Simply fresh took care of everything for our big day and we didn't have to worry about a thing. It was a bit on the pricey side of our budget, but, for the quality of the food (and the number of complements we have gotten on it!) I think it was excellent value for money. Would absolutely work with them again if I can! -

Simply Fresh did a phenomenal job catering our wedding; they were super responsive, attentive to detail, served the food quickly and efficiently, and most importantly, the food was GREAT! We had numerous compliments on both the passed appetizers and the plated dinners. The steak was a major hit, and it was cooked perfectly.
Their team customized different plates perfectly, worked with food allergies well, and met with us multiple times for the tasting (which went so well!) and to plan the run of show for the wedding. Highly recommend! -

Simply Fresh was simply perfect. The coordinators and staff were friendly, accommodating, efficient, so much fun, complimentary and really provided a wonderful wedding experience.
Building out our menu and wedding evening was so specialized and personal and our wedding tasting felt like a date night! We were taken to a private room where our menu was typed out and we even got to play our own music via the bluetooth speaker in the room! Every bite we got to try was delicious and the chef even came in to take down any notes on what we wanted to change (we wanted to change nothing). Such a special evening. Even the night of our wedding, we heard a lot of our guests say that the food at our wedding was the best wedding food they've ever tasted! Perfectly seasoned and at just the right temperature.
Simply Fresh also provides additional services, such as bar tenders the day of the wedding, florals, shuttle buses and a day of wedding coordinator. We decided to utilize their service for bar tenders and shuttles and the process was so easy, I highly recommend taking advantage of additional services to make your life easier on your special day.
Overall, I would recommend Simply Fresh to ANYONE planning a wedding. I wouldn't have changed a thing! -

Thank you Simply Fresh! We used Simply Fresh for our September 7th wedding and they made sure it was perfect! We utilized them for rentals, catering, and wedding planning.
Rentals: Simply Fresh made rentals easy, we were able to go to the warehouse to see different chairs, linens, table settings, etc. to see how they would all come together on the wedding day. We were able to spend as much time as we needed and never felt rushed while making decisions. Everything was perfect on the day of the wedding!
Catering: Simply Fresh's food is amazing! The food at the tasting and day of the wedding was some of the best food I have ever eaten. They were very accommodating for allergies of individual guests. For our signature drink, I wanted guests to have the option of regular and spicy margaritas and Simply Fresh was able to make it happen!
Wedding Planning: We could not have asked for a better wedding planner than Hillary Clagett! Hillary made wedding planning easy each step of the way. She was in constant communication with me and our other vendors. Whenever I had a question, big or small, she got back to me promptly. On the day of, she made sure everything went smoothly and looked amazing. We can't thank her enough for making our wedding perfect.

We arranged tastings and quotes from several caterers in the area and Simply Fresh was the one that blew us away with hospitality and quality right away. They were just as excited as we were about designing a menu and tweaking/customizing things to represent us and appease the many preferences and dietary restrictions of our guests. It was like we were planning with our friends! They were also incredibly flexible with our budget and refining every detail through the planning process without sacrificing quality. Since they are an all-inclusive caterer, they made everything incredibly easy with planning and execution. Our only feedback would be that having the planning POCs there on-site the day of would have made everything even more perfect, but all of our guests were impressed and really enjoyed how everything turned out. (We think we did too, but it’s true that it’s hard to remember eating on your wedding day!) -

I’m basically speechless. This company is truly so amazing! They made all my wedding dreams come true and they are top notch with service ensuring my husband and I were taken care of! Always ensuring we have a drink in hand and snack or meal when and if needed! They took care of us in EVERY ASPECT! Even to the point I was able to walk down the aisle and the manger on site from simply fresh that day noticed my pocket of my wedding dress was sticking out so I was able to fix it before going down the aisle, so glad she told me because my pocket sticking out in all the photos of a once in a lifetime moment would have really not been great! They have incredible communication from before you book, after you book the tasting and just being flexible for meeting and walk through! The food was incredible (like seriously INCREDIBLE) and they ensured EVER single detail was exactly as I dreamed! I really am so happy I booked with simply fresh and would over and over 100 times again!!! If your unsure about to to book with for catering stop looking now and book simply fresh I’m the most sure you will not regret it!
Wish we had some pictures of the food. All of the food was plated beautifully! Even our salad had eatable flowers! (I mean come on) and I really just could not have asked for anything more from simply fresh!
For our cocktail hour we did crab cakes, stuffed mushrooms and bruschetta! For dinner we did a garden salad, a chicken option, a steak option and a veggie option they were all to die for! Like seriously people are still talking about how amazing the food was and our wedding was over a month ago. -

Great caterer with gluten free options!
We hired simply fresh as the caterer for our wedding and they did an amazing job! Everything was incredibly organized and the food was served in a timely fashion. I am gluten free and they were extremely understanding of dietary restrictions and worked with us to provide gluten free options and prevent cross contamination. I even got to enjoy a delicious gluten free baguette during our tasting and on my wedding day! We also included a popcorn late night snack in our package which was super fun and a huge hit!! I would highly recommend simply fresh for your big day! -

Simply Fresh catered for ~110 people at our wedding at St. Francis Hall on May 18, 2024. We were absolutely blown away. The food was amazing, the waitstaff incredibly warm and attentive, and everything was seamless.
Leading up to that, the process of working with Brittany and the Simply Fresh Events team was one of the best and easiest parts of our wedding planning process. She was so professional, organized, and experienced.

Simply Fresh was great to work with and delivered a fabulous meal for our 150 guests! We needed a menu that was mostly gluten-free, with vegetarian options, accommodating a wide range of food allergies—and with strong sustainability policies. Several caterers were scared off, but not Simply Fresh! They came up with a customized menu that met all our needs and was extremely tasty to boot! The tasting experience at their offices in the spring was a truly delightful experience, and they were great to work with throughout. They also have a partnership with Select Event Rentals, so we were able to get all the customized linens, plates, flatware, etc. that we needed through our catering contract without needing to hire yet another vendor. Simply Fresh lives up to the name—they cook the food in their trucks onsite, so it is all fresh and hot, with the bare minimum of wasted extra food. We also really appreciated Simply Fresh’s focus on using regional, sustainable food and composting all the food waste. The food presentation was extremely classy—it was one of the nicest buffets I’ve seen—and our guests were raving about the food. In short, Simply Fresh is a class act and you can’t go wrong hiring them! -

Simply Fresh catered our wedding at Brookside Gardens earlier this month (October 2023) and they did an amazing job. We had events at three different locations at the Gardens and Simply Fresh managed to have everything up and running, looking great at each location. The servers were incredibly friendly and attentive to our guests (and to us) and the food was amazing! Simply Fresh was willing to work with us throughout the lead up to the wedding and was very flexible with regards to our budgetary needs. All in all, we had about 125 people at our wedding and we ended up doing a plated dinner (with hors d'oeuvres and bar service) for about $13k. Great value and great service! -

We used Simply Fresh as our wedding caterer and our florals. Throughout the whole process, Simply Fresh was amazing! They helped us design the perfect menu for our summer wedding. During our tasting, they incorporated our feedback and made changes to the menu based on our recommendations. We received so many compliments from our wedding guests on how great the food was. In particular, we had a fantastic experience working with Hillary Claggett. Hillary knew our venue inside and out. She made a number of helpful recommendations during our walkthrough, put together a floor plan for us, and made sure we ate during our wedding. We also want to give a special shoutout to all of the bartenders, waiters, and set-up staff from Simply Fresh who were all so kind and helpful on our big day. Finally, we can't say enough great things about the job that Andrea Scoville and Simply Fresh's floral team did to help make our wedding so beautiful. Overall, it was a five-star experience all around and I would highly recommend using Simply Fresh for your wedding. -

Our experience with Simply Fresh Events was simply amazing!! We have nothing but absolute praise for them! From the very beginning, everyone we worked with was SO nice, personable, helpful, communicative - the list goes on and on! We worked with Buffy at the start - and she was so helpful and patient with us trying to finalize our proposal/contract. Later for the day of, we worked with Hillary and she was spectacular! Both were so easy to work with and helped our wedding be stress-free. The food was INCREDIBLE! We got married 6 months ago and we still have people complimenting our food. The menu was completely customizable so you could have it be whatever you wanted. The portions were huge and left people feeling full and happy at the end of dinner. Plus we got to take all leftover food back to the hotel with us! All in all it was a 10000/10 experience! We could not recommend them enough to anyone looking for a caterer!

We hosted a wedding last weekend and chose Simply Fresh to caterer our event. We chose Simply Fresh because they were very familiar with our venue & have done many events both small & large. Maya was our team captain and worth her weight in gold! She took over for us once we signed our contract and was outstanding every step of the way! From our tasting to the event, she communicated exceptionally well and helped make suggestions when we weren't sure. We used their platforms to communicate and their responses were always timely. We decided on food stations and though I was a little hesitant, thinking this would not be as elegant as the venue would warrant, we were not disappointed. The food was excellent and we received many compliments! Maya & her staff were professional, pleasant, & accommodating throughout the entire process and helped us host an amazing event! We were introduced to Simply Fresh Events at an open house event at Main Street Ballroom in Ellicott City MD. It was there that we chose our wedding venue and caterer all at the same time. From our first phone call all the way through the end of our reception Simply Fresh was truly incredible! I love the fact that they cook all their food on site and it was just as fresh at the wedding as it was at our tasting. Simply Fresh Event was so accommodating with all of my family's dietary needs. Knowing that my mom and I both can't eat gluten they ensured that everything at dinner would be 100% gluten free. Usually this does not include the bread so I was so pleasantly surprised when they informed me that I could also eat the dinner rolls at the table. Everyone I worked with at Simply Fresh Events was truly wonderful, but especially Maya who was there throughout the planning process and the wedding. We had a wedding with 114 people last weekend, and SFE did so well by us! We came to them because we wanted to do a fully vegetarian wedding, and they were also a preferred vendor by our venue. They were the only caterer that we did a tasting with, and we were sold! We knew they would be able to provide great vegetarian food that even our meat-eating guests would enjoy. For appetizers, we had ginger-carrot wontons, panzanella skewers, squash and goat cheese flatbreads, a mezze spread, and a cheese plate. For dinner, we had garlicky green beans, cauliflower steak with cashew cream sauce, vegetarian moussaka, cheddar biscuits, and a herby orzo salad. Dessert was mini-pies and some unbelievably good baklava!
Hillary, Charlotte, and the SFE team were easy to work with, thorough, and responsive. Hillary, our coordinator, double-checked with me to make sure even the smallest details were right. On the day of the wedding, Lexi was super communicative and super organized, even though rain meant that we had to move the ceremony indoors and her team had reorganize the main room during cocktail hour. The day was super smooth and worry-free.
I would highly recommend the SFE team, especially if you're doing a vegetarian wedding! -

Our wedding reception was literally perfect thanks to Simply Fresh!
All of our guests really enjoyed the food from appetizers, salmon or braised beef for dinner and cute mini desserts! Not to mention a great open bar with tons of options!
Working with SF was extremely easy. They were always available to talk to and making changes to our contract and what we needed was simple!

Simply Fresh is simply the best!
Simply Fresh was the perfect catering and event planning vendor for our wedding. Our coordinator, Christa, was responsive, flexible, and easy going. She made sure to honor our vision and vibe for the wedding and helped it comes to life. Our guests could not stop talking about how great the food and service was for our wedding, they still talk about it weeks later. Simply Fresh created the exact menu we wanted for our wedding, including sourcing local ingredients from specific vendors, and everything was delicious. They also helped us source the tent, linens, portable bathrooms, and party buses - which was a HUGE help and minimized the coordinating on my end. I would highly recommend hiring them for a wedding or any other event. They won’t disappoint! -

We recently used Simply Fresh for our wedding at Bluebird Manor and we couldn’t be happier! I can’t tell you how many times I have attended a wedding and the food was just blah. That was one thing I did not want for our wedding. From the very beginning, they were awesome to work with and very responsive! Buffy and Katie understood exactly what we wanted for our wedding and made our vision come to life. We went with a stations style menu, and it worked out perfectly! Jocelyn, the event manager who helped with our wedding, was great! The food was DELICIOUS!! We had so many guests compliment the food, especially the scallops and tenderloin, everything was seriously to die for! On top of the amazing food, their staff was so attentive and all of our guests were so well taken care of. Simply Fresh Evens provided the wedding planner/coordinator, the catering, the florals and the wedding cake for my daughter's wedding weekend at Tusculum Farm. Jocelyn Barker did an excellent job helping us plan the wedding, making sure that no details were forgotten. And having her on-site for the wedding to coordinate the details of the ceremony, the florals and the catering was so helpful! Chef Katie's food was delicious, with special kudos for the incredible appetizers. The wedding cake was flavorful and moist - a big improvement over many wedding cakes I've tasted. And the flowers were BEAUTIFUL! Planning a wedding involves so many moving parts; it was really helpful to have so many of them together in one excellent company. Jocelyn and her team were absolutely wonderful! I can't ay enough good things about the staff, the food the preparations, the coordination, the advice... all of it!!! We started working with Simply Fresh when we had to choose a new venue due to an unfortunate event at our original venue (4 months before our date!) The team was professional and so kind, as well as reassuring during the entire planning process.
When our original day came, we unfortunately had to reschedule our reception because of COVID, and actually pushed it back a few more times. The team was extremely helpful during this time. A year later we finally had our big celebration!
We literally had a last minute change to move the reception outdoors into a tent in order to accommodate a few more guests just a couple days before the reception and the team handled it AMAZINGLY.
The day itself was absolutely perfect. The tent was beautiful, the food was amazing and everything went so smoothly. We asked Simply Fresh to turn our wedding cake into a gender reveal cake since we’re expecting, and the cake was delicious! Lemon cake with cream cheese filling and buttercream on the outside. The guests had a great time and raved about the food, decorations, and beautiful tent.
I wouldn’t change a thing. Hillary is an absolute rockstar and made the whole process so easy. I’m definitely keeping Simply Fresh in mind for any future events and I highly recommend them! -

As soon my now-husband and I tasted their entrée we looked at each other and knew immediately that they had to cater our wedding. Their food was/is amazing! You could cut their steak with a butter knife, it was cooked to perfection. Just like their food, everything else came out perfectly, from the tables and chairs to the place settings. We also decided to use the services of one of their wedding coordinators, Nicole. Without her I don't know how I would have managed everything. The day-of went seamlessly and I credit all of that to her. The rest of their staff was wonderful as well, very professional and helpful. I have no regrets about Simply Fresh. 10/10 would hire again. -

Geoff, Jocelyn and their team were amazing to work with. Due to COVID and changes to our wedding we also had to change caterers last minute and they worked with us to quickly develop a new menu, plan all of the details and made our night incredibly special. The meal was delicious and beautifully plated and the individual app plates were a hit with everyone. Jocelyn took care of all of the small details of setting our menus, place cards, and floating candles to make our dinner venue look amazing. She even offered to bustle my dress as soon as we arrived so that I could start enjoying the night!
The staff was pleasant to work with that night and were very quick with clearing plates and glasses for the next course. I would highly recommend Simply Fresh for your wedding or event.
We are so grateful for them being able to cater our wedding on such short notice and extremely impressed with how beautifully everything turned out.

True Catering/Event Planning Professionals
When we chose to have our wedding at Rocklands Farm, the owner connected us with the only catering/event company that they use, Simply Fresh Events. We contacted their team and the ball was easily rolling well in advance of our wedding day. We loved how Simply Fresh made it easy to customize and create a menu that fit our tastes and vision for our big day. We went back and forth a lot prior to the tasting, mostly because I was confused with how this was supposed to go, but my nerves were settled at the tasting when we went over everything line by line. We appreciated the flexibility of their team, we really liked how the chef sat down with us and took notes and was amenable to our feedback. In the end, we changed our entree and they even let us come back for a second tasting which we appreciated. Then the COVID-19 pandemic happened and we were back and forth on what to do. We appreciated Simply Fresh's understanding, advice, and flexibility. We ultimately decided to cut our event down to 14 people from the original guest list of 130, and they were gracious and still made us feel beyond special the day of. As a designer, I was a bit neurotic and specific in my planning process but the Simply Fresh team pulled off my vision and made it memorable and beyond what I could have imagined. They put as much thought and energy into our event of 14 people as they would have a larger event, and in the end we were so impressed with them - from planning, to food, to coordination, to their staff - we really felt like everything was handled and we could enjoy ourselves. They are true professionals that really know what they’re doing. They pulled off our micro-wedding, guests raved about the food, and they even refunded us money we had overpaid since we cut the number of guests at our event. We would definitely recommend their company for event planning and catering. -

I can't emphasize enough how happy we are that we went with Simply Fresh Events to cater and coordinate our wedding. We first met Geoff while touring Rocklands Farm Winery, and while we didn't ultimately chose that venue for our wedding, we really liked Geoff for how straight-forward and honest he was during the tour. We scheduled our tasting and got to meet the rest of the team. The food was excellent and creative (we've gotten consistent feedback from our guests regarding flavor and the innovative menu), and we were introduced to Nicole who was our main POC for the next 10 months as our coordinator. Nicole was knowledgeable, honest, easy to get in touch with, and professional. As you can imagine, with the COVID pandemic throwing a curveball into our planning, this could have been a nightmare experience, but Simply Fresh was flexible and prepared to help guide us through the process while keeping our guests safety top of mind. They were prepared to present to us their suggestions for how to decrease touch points while still providing excellent food and service. For the day of the wedding, the staff was incredible and functioned like a well oiled machine with Nicole at the helm. I'm not sure how she could be in so many places at once, but Nicole always available throughout the night, and it was so nice to know that the timeline was being taken care of by such a capable team. We were truly able to enjoy our night without having to make sure the other vendors remained on schedule as Nicole and team took care of everything according to the timeline we had agreed to. While so many little things can go wrong during a wedding, I can honestly say that the night essentially went off without a hitch thanks to the Nicole's management and coordination with the other vendors and the venue. We are 100% planning on using Simply Fresh again for any of our catering needs in the future, and couldn't be more pleased with our experience. -

We booked them to do our fall 2020 wedding back in February, before we knew what 2020 was going to look like. They worked with us every step of the way from a guest list that shrunk almost daily for awhile, to fully changing some of the plans we had to ensure social distancing. Needless to say, our wedding wasn’t exactly what we had always planned, as we had to greatly limit the attendees, but Simply Fresh made it perfect anyways. We are still getting compliments from the guests that did attend about how they have never had food at a wedding this good. The staff was professional and fun, and Hillary made the day go by with zero stress. Highly recommend! -

We were planning to have a destination wedding and with only 4 months until our wedding day we decided to pull the plug on our destination wedding and plan one locally. I was so lucky to have found SFE. They were amazing and accommodating from the beginning. Because of covid our traditional tasting was done outdoors in a private tent which was great. The food was AMAZING! We were so excited for our guests to have all of the selections we made. They provided top notch service. Hillary was our wedding coordinator and she was a life saver, truly! She even put out decor that I didn't have time to put up and she handled it. Everyone knew her name by the end of the wedding because she was walking around ensuring everyone was taken care of. I don't know what I would have done without Hillary and her team. Get the shrimp for your apps and you won't regret it. Just hire them and you won't be disappointed! -

We selected Rocklands Farm Winery as our venue, and they have an exclusive agreement with Simply Fresh Events— we couldn’t have gotten more lucky. SFE is a one stop shop— they cater, bartender, they organize your buses and rental bathrooms, they even pick up your Krispy Kreme donuts for your donut wall. From day one, SFE has been flexible, supportive, and has basically said yes to anything we wanted. Our wedding coordinator Nicole was a dream to work with. She was organized and a true professional. On our wedding day, we walked out to the perfect venue looking exactly how we imagined it— and that’s all thanks to her. SFEs food is DELICIOUS. No joke, my husband is a foodie and is super critical. He was impressed by both SFEs food and service. SFE also made sure we have safety precautions in place due to COVID-19 but worked with us every step of the way to make sure we still had the day we envisioned. If you get to choose your caterer, go with Simply Fresh Events. If you fell in love with a venue and don’t get to choose, then know you are in good hands. -

I wanted to take the time to thank the staff at Simply Fresh Events for helping to make my son and daughter-in-law’s wedding so wonderful
Honestly, it was perfect! Your entire team, from our first contact through to packing up the car, made the experience as stress free as humanly possible.
We received so many comments about the beautiful set up of the tables and barn, the kind staff and the food! The food was exceptional. Our guests couldn’t stop raving. One guest said “there is always at least one thing that isn’t that great, but not this time! It was all fantastic”.
The entire staff could not have been lovelier. And given that we had to do this all so quickly, you all helped make this experience a joy, even given the insane circumstances. Truly, it was perfect.

This is our second year working with Simply Fresh Events and they killed it again! Everything went smoothly from start to finish, the staff was so friendly and easy to work with, and I received rave reviews about the food. Especially the salmon, so many comments on how good it was. The catering team worked very well with the venue. I literally just had to show up! Everything was taken care of. -

We worked with Simply Fresh Events for our wedding reception. From the very beginning of the planning process, the team was very communicative, straight-forward and helpful for my bride and I, answering our questions promptly via email and phone. When we went to their offices to do our tasting, and were grateful for the little touches that they used to make us feel welcome and appreciated. We worked with Jocelyn as our day-of coordinator, and were very impressed with her professionalism and how she was able to help tie down all of our logistics so easily, including arranging shuttles between the venue and our hotel. When one of our guests indicated some dietary restrictions, the team followed up with her directly to make sure that she got to enjoy a great meal as well. The catering staff were polite, courteous and professional, and all of our guests were raving about how great the food was!
Simply Fresh played a major role in making our wedding a perfect day, and if you're looking for a great one-stop shop for food and event management, they're a great choice! If I ever plan another event as complex as a wedding, I'd definitely contact them again!
