  Awesome food and service

  I’m so glad we went with Simply Elegant Catering for our wedding. The food was delicious and beautiful, the staff was kind and professional , and Sam was so easy to work with and super patient with me and alll my changes I made . I guess after 25 years in this business you really know what you’re doing ! I would definitely recommend to a friend .

  Simply Elegant Indeed!

  Simply Elegant Catering served all our culinary needs. Special menu requests were handled with ease. The bride and groom had extremely specific requests for their food which differed from the standard menu selections. Sam and Michele did not blink an eye when asked to accommodate their unique dietary desires. They happily provided special meals for our vegan guests, our vegetarian guests, and our guests with food allergies. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, appetizers could not be served so they were easily replaced with plated offerings. Days after the wedding, we continued to get compliments about how good the meal was. We would use Simply Elegant Catering for all our catering needs.

  We had an Indian fusion wedding for approximately 100 people last weekend at an off-site venue, and Simply Elegant Catering did a fantastic job. We originally contacted SEC to provide full service catering and American style food, with the intent of having another restaurant provide Indian food. However, SEC’s chef offered to make the Indian food for our tasting, and it was delicious. As a result, SEC catered both style menus. They also worked with us to develop a mostly vegetarian menu to meet the needs of the groom and many of our guests. A few of our guests actually commented that it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had.
  
  Sam of SEC was very helpful and responsive, and his entire staff seemed eager to work with us to help make our event run smoothly and meet our wishes. And SEC’s services were very reasonably priced.
  
  Overall, I can’t say enough good things about SEC, and would recommend them to anyone looking for delicious food with friendly service. I would also recommend SEC to anyone looking to have a not-so-traditional event, as Sam and his team were very helpful in making suggestions to help our wedding day run smoothly, and at the same time develop a menu and environment that met our diverse needs.

  I cannot recommend SEC highly enough. Sam and Michele are fantastic and literally catered to every need I had. They answered questions and helped me navigate the difficult system of planning a wedding. They work with excellent vendors and made my wedding day a breeze. They even helped me get a cake 3 days before my wedding because my vendor fell through!!! Awesome!!!!

  I was incredibly pleased with the food and service of Simply Elegant Catering, Inc. My guests RAVED about the food. Every meal was perfect. I heard from my Mother in-law that one of our guests saw the dishes coming out and noticed the carrots on a plate. Her comment was that she hopes she doesn't get carrots because she hates carrots.   We cannot say enought about Simply Elegant Catering, Michele, Sam and all their staff. From the day we booked, we felt like we were the only customers in the world. Their attention to details for our wedding reception was impeccable. The venue is gorgeous and the recent renovations have really raised the bar on the ballroom and bridal suite.   Simply Elegant was by far one of my favorite vendors. Sam, my main contact throughout the wedding planning, went way above and beyond. From my first experience with him over a year out from the wedding, he was totally accommodating, meeting me in a convenient location and even coming to my parent’s house for our big planning meeting. His communication was always thorough and prompt, and he never made me feel like I was putting him out by asking questions. When we had some issues with the staff at our venue, Sam was able to take over some of the ordering of linens, etc. that weren’t really his responsibility. He is also incredibly detail oriented and thoughtful. For example, he even ordered napkins to put in the bread basket that matched my color scheme, which I would not have thought of, but was a nice touch. When it came to “crunch time”, Sam really took charge and made sure everything came together perfectly. He was a reassuring presence in the planning meetings.
  
  Overall, I feel like the price we were charged for everything was more than fair, and a quite a bargain based on what I have heard others pay. I never felt like we were being nickel and dimed for the changes and upgrades we made. The food was incredible, and guests were raving about it and even called my parents after to tell them how great the food was. The wait staff was also really good. They made sure we had hors d’oeurvres brought out to us while we were taking pictures, and they were really nice and friendly while still being fairly inconspicuous.

  The food is nothing short of excellent! Everything was perfectly prepared and cooked from the hors d'ourves to dinner. Our guests are still raving about it after almost a month. We served the baked haddock, chicken piccata with a roast beef station and roasted potatoes and a fall mix of veggies. After the festivities were over the owner came into the bridal suite as I was gathering my things and asked how everything was. I thought it was great of him to check in to see if we enjoyed our selves. Truely awesome expericence!

  Sam was great to work with and helped me put together a great menu for my summer wedding. The guests raved about the food and I especially appreciated how my husband and I were served separately from the buffet so we actually got to eat! They were very accommodating as far as people with special requests. Sam had some great suggestions on how to manage the crowd of 180 as far as moving the buffet lines quickly and not having a ton of people standing in line all the time. I was very happy with all aspects of this vendor.

  Simply Elegant Catering was OUTSTANDING! The food was delicious, all of our guests were raving. The staff were very professional, and we didn't have to worry about a thing throughout the entire process.

  Excellent in every way

  Simply Elegant Catering was very helpful and easy to work with during the planning stage. They offered great suggestions and was very flexible. At the wedding and reception, they were very professional and attentive. The food and open bar was excellent.

  Sam and Michele (the owner and his wife) were wonderful to work with. Our venue had changed caterers multiple times after we signed a contract and Simply Elegant honored our deposits and contracts and even offered us more for our money. Michele really ran the wedding very well--our wedding party was 20 minutes late due to traffic and she seated all of the guests for us! Everything was set up beautifully. Everyone said the food was great--I didn't eat too much but what I did eat was good. They were extremely accommodating to the special diet needs we had.
  I was disappointed in where people were sitting and how the tables were set up. I'm not sure if there was some miscommunication or we had too many big tables for it to work the way I thought it would be set up but in the end it was a minute issue. The staff were very nice, catering, and hard working. I would highly recommend Simply Elegant Catering!

  We used simply elegant catering for our wedding at Merrimack Valley Country Club. Michele and Sam were very helpful in the wedding process. Michele was very responsive to my emails with questions I had. She was extra helpful on my wedding day when my bustle broke she stepped right in and fixed it and calm me down. The food was delicious and all our guests thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Also, the servers were very helpful following us around and feeding us appetizers and drinks while we got all our pictures done. Michele also did a great job setting up all my decorations and creating a candy bar which all my guest loved so much.

  My wedding day was 90º, humid, down pouring & lighting. MVGC LOST POWER FOR THE ENTIRE EVENING & HAD NO GENERATOR! I understand you can't control the weather but MVGC was completely unprepared. My whole day was disorderly & disorganized. I was told numerous times by Simply Elegant Catering they didn't own the building and there was nothing they could do. This was the last thing I wanted to hear from the “day of coordinator".
  During my initial tour I asked which entrance guests use & was told not to worry a coordinator would be outside directing guests. On my wedding day there was no coordinator, guests were using the bridal party entrance & seeing me before the ceremony. It was pouring, this is a GOLF club, but not one single umbrella was offered to arriving guests.
  MVGC staff was completely and utterly disorganized. The ceremony was delayed an hour and a half as well as having the location changed multiple times. The plan for rain is to move inside & upstairs but upstairs was way too hot (NO AC) & the door to let air in was stuck shut. The ceremony took place on the deck with standing guests & NO MUSIC. During the delay we asked several times for door stoppers so we could cool down the bridal suite & received nothing.
  Cocktail hour was also problematic - 2 out of 4 apps. did not get passed, guests couldn't order mixed drinks during open bar nor get ice with their water. We were made aware of the missing apps. from guests, NOT the cater. The soda guns wouldn't work & they were preserving ice for the reception. I cannot comprehend why MVGC couldn't run to a store & grab sodas & ice!
  DJ (Andy- TSG Weddings) made my wedding possible -he saved the day. He ran a generator off his car to provide power for music. I cannot recommend him enough. We ordered uplighting from Andy & thank god. Our uplighting provided the ONLY lights for the reception. The bathrooms, bar & deck were all black.
