Big Bear July 2024 Wedding

Hiring Merrie with Silver and Sage was the best thing we could have done for our wedding! She was timely, efficient, and so helpful with her day of coordinating for our wedding.

From the start, she was extremely prepared and went above and beyond my expectations. She was ready with questions that I didn’t even know I didn’t know! Her attention to detail made everything run so smoothly the day of the wedding. She was the first there and the last to leave, and did not hesitate to be the “bad guy” when someone/something needed to be redirected or fixed.

We had a bit of a hiccup with our venue (our of our control), but Merrie was calm, professional, and did everything to not only resolve the issue, but ensure us that no matter what, our wedding would still be perfect. Her communication was very quick, and she had many amazing ideas that I would have never considered.  She checked in with us throughout the wedding process and the day of in case we needed anything as little as a glass of water, to as much as changing something at the last minute because we changed our minds.

I would 100% recommend Silver and Sage to anyone looking for wedding planning/day of coordinating services. I can NOT imagine our wedding being as amazing as it was without her help and guidance.

On our special day...Merrie and her staff were there early, and were one of the last to leave. Merrie is familiar with most venues, vendors, florists, DJs, bands, and anyone else that can add to your magic. Her no nonsense, sage recommendations will steer you away from trouble...and put you at ease both in the planning stages, and on your celebration day. She did exactly this for us. Merrie is the best!

Merrie is the sweetest person you could ask for to be by your side on your wedding day. We initially only reached out to her to be our officiant but hired her as our day of coordinator as well! One of the best planners out there!

It was truly a pleasure working with Merrie on a wedding at The Oviatt in January. Not only was she very responsive and didn't miss a any details, she was a team player who works seamlessly with the venue and vendors which ensured for a stress free day for my client. Not only was Merrie amazing but her team was also a dream to work with and provided much needed support for the day. We work with many planners at The Oviatt but Silver and Sage was absolutely one of the best!

Amazing officiant and coordinator!

We worked with Merrie as our coordinator and officiant. She wrote us a beautiful ceremony that captured us perfectly and on the day of our wedding, we were able to enjoy ourselves without worrying about anything! Throughout the planning process, we felt like she really understood what we wanted, and the guidance she provided was exactly what we needed. During the wedding, she and her team worked hard and did an amazing job bringing our wedding vision to life perfectly! I can't recommend working with her enough!

She knows what she’s doing.

Merrie was also our Officiate. She has a really calm vibe around her and guided us through the process. We are both in our 60s on our second marriage, so it was pretty small and intimate.

Merrie will make your big day magical!

WOW! I cannot speak more highly of Merrie and her team. An absolute Godsend to me and my husband on our wedding day. We hired Merrie as a partial wedding planner about 3 months before our big day, and I have to say, I don't know how the day would have been as flawless as it was without her. From the very beginning of the planning process, Merrie was so thorough and detail oriented with every aspect of the wedding. We spoke to her on the phone multiple times before our big day, and it sounds funny, butt she has such a soothing voice that puts you at ease and calms all the anxiety that comes with planning such a large event. Our wedding had 200+ people, and from an execution standpoint, Merrie missed NOTHING. Then of course during our rehearsal, she worked so well with our Pastor to make sure everything went perfectly as planned. Our wedding party appreciated her directness as they knew exactly what to do and when during the rehearsal. Then, on the big day itself, I can't imagine doing any of it on my own or making a loved ones do all that she and her crew did. She came with a couple assistants since our wedding was larger, but from start to finish, Merrie set up and executed on everything we discussed while consistently checking in with me and my husband to see if there was anything else we needed or how she could help. She knew EXACTLY how to support us in the best way, the exact way that we needed and there was no stress at all for us because she handled every little detail. It was a privilege to work with Merrie, and I highly recommend that anyone do so to eliminate any and all stress and to work with a high quality crew. Hailey, her niece, was also part of the crew and for every picture I took, she was right there with me to fix my dress and see if I needed anything. A+ service and some of the kindest people you'll meet!

Merrie was amazing! She is experienced and it shows. Very confident in her work which makes you feel confident. She pleasantly surprised me with her level of detail especially since my wedding was a complete diy wedding. She held it together and created miracles on our wedding day. I loved her because she was warm and caring and really heard what you wanted and made your vision real. She was the very first one to calm me down when I was overly stressed and let me know everything would be ok. She went above and beyond to make our wedding day the most special and beautiful. She was the first one there and the last one out. I definitely recommend her services.

Amazing coordinator! Attention to detail.

Merrie was absolutely amazing. I was so overwhelmed when I started planning and then along came Merrie. She is so knowledgeable about every detail, vendors in the industry and how to make your day perfect whilst still staying in budget.

Every meeting we had prior made me feel so at peace with the day and everything being under control.

The day of I felt so special, from having my food and drinks ready when I sat down, guests attended to, and making sure I was hydrated and fed all night lol. VERY IMPORTANT.

the one thing that went “wrong” in the day was lost cake plates from myself but you know she swooped in before it was too late had them all ready to go and saved the day.

Marie was the one to complete my dream wedding. From our very first conversation when I heard her angelic voice I knew she was the one. She was professional responded right away and wrote the most beautiful ceremony. On the day of she went above and beyond from making sure I was relaxed and calm to curling my niece hair. We are so happy we chose Merrie for our wedding! She was very thorough in answering our questions and very responsive! We chose to have a non-traditional ceremony in the sense that we had no wedding party, just parents walking us down the aisle and therefor didn't do any sort of rehearsal but Merrie did a Skype call with us to walk us through everything beginning to end and then did the same with us once we were all together on the property which made everyone feel at ease and it went great! I cannot recommend Merrie enough, so helpful and reassuring!

Just a dream

Merrie was amazing. So helpful, before during and after the ceremony, she was in touch with us weeks beforehand to iron out any concerns and questions we had, and she just made the entire ceremony feel perfect for us and all of our guests. We can't thank her enough for ushering us into our first moments as husband and wife with joy and love!!

Magical Ceremony

Merrie was perfect as the officiant at our wedding. Her voice is so soothing and calm, everyone in our wedding party commented that they loved listening to her! Her custom written ceremony was delivered beautifully and made the wedding that much more magical. We got a lot of guest compliments on the ceremony! It was sweet, romantic, and powerful.
I loved that she comes to the rehearsal at no extra charge. I noticed a lot of others don’t do that and I can’t imagine rehearsing without the officiant after going through it. She made everything so simple, we were directed through everything including filing the marriage license. She was always early and prepared.
After talking with us and getting to know us she suggested a wine box ceremony, which we had never heard of, but we took her recommendation and it was a very special part of the ceremony and a tradition we are excited to carry on for years to come.
We also loved that it was her idea to step away before our first kiss so that we would have a nice photo.

Amazing, understanding, helpful

Merrie was amazing, she took time out of her day to help us perfect everything. And she was very helpful the day of the wedding, keeping me calm and offering to help in anything I needed. Definitely worth every penny!
