  Delicious food

  Alex and his team were great! We had the tasting with him personally, and he gave us many wonderful options to choose from. We ended up choosing prime rib and Sierra stuffed chicken with ceviche for an appetizer and cheesecake bites for an after dinner treat. He accommodated our special dietary restrictions for a few of our guests as well.
  Everything was fresh, hot and delicious! I cannot recommend Sierra Catering enough! The staff was very friendly and helped clean tables throughout the night.

  Great Food, Great Price, Great People!

  Out food was so delicious that people even called talking about the food after the wedding! We had fajitas and queso, etc. It was delicious! People with severe food allergies were able to eat too! They also cut the cakes for us (we had a lot of cakes to cut too) as part of the package. Alex and his wife/staff are so nice! They really care and go out of their way to make your day go well and make you feel special as you eat. They are a blessing! Thank you so much!

  Excellent taste, quality and price.

  Alex and his staff are outstanding. He catered my daughter’s wedding in April and the guests raved about food. The food was a buffet set up, hot, great quality and taste. The price was very affordable. Would definitely recommend Sierra Catering for any event.

  Literally the best wedding food ever

  1. We were amazed at the food quality at our wedding. Our guests raved and went for 2nd and thirds during reception. Truly delicious.

  Sierra madre best in houston

  This caterer did everything perfect for my daughter's wedding at Iron Manor. Working with this wonderful man was enjoyable, and the food was amazing! Don't get me started on the fresh homemade pastas!!!! All of our 150 guests raved about their meals. And as delicious is the food, so are the prices. Great JOB Sierra!

  I met Alex with Sierra Madre catering at an open house at my wedding venue. With the first sample, I knew we wanted him to be our caterer. He was super responsive and set up our tasting quickly. The tasting exceeded our expectations, he had everything thought out which made the decisions really easy for us. He also was very understanding of needing to accommodate for any special dietary plates or kid plates. One of my favorite suggestions is he had plated food delivered to the bridal quarters for a private alone dinner as newly bride and groom. I didn’t know how special it was until the day of our wedding in that peaceful moment together. Thank you for amazing food and service! Highly recommend booking him for your events!

  Amazing food and customer service

  Alex and his team is amazing. He was quick to respond with any questions we had. He also went above and beyond through the whole process. He has amazing food and the price does not compare to other catering companies. We were so glad we found him at an open house. You would not regret using him so book a tasting and you will see the quality of food as well as the great pricing he offers.

  Unmatched Talent and Price

  My wife and I hired Alex to cater a small private party following our daughter's wedding. From beginning to end, Alex and his team could not be matched. Prior to our event, we met with him for a private "tasting". His sample meals were amazing and, once we made our selection, his prices were unmatched. He is a Master in his art, no doubt. On the night of the event, his team showed up early to set up, with Alex leading the way. He was ready when the guests arrived. The meals were hot and tasted as if they has been completed moments before. He even added his own personal touch to the event by helping to serve drinks, take photos and even serve the wedding cake.
  
  If you're looking for that one business that stands head-and-shoulders above the rest, give Alex a call. I promise you won't regret it.

  Alex and his team were amazing to work with. The food was incredible and the prices were amazing. Alex went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and he was there to answer any questions we had every step of the way.   We have nothing but praise for Alex at Sierra Madre catering. He included a fruit and cheese table without extra charge, and included artistically carved fruit statues which were amazing. Everybody enjoyed the fajitas, and we had countless compliments on the queso fountain! When we cleared the plates at the end of the evening, there were no plates with uneaten food. They also stayed to cut and serve the cake, which ended up being past their expected ending time. Thank you, Alex!

  We hired Sierra Madre for our wedding 2/25/16 and it was the best decision ever. Alex was absolutely amazing every steo.of the way and I swear the food was even better on the day than it was at the tasting (and it was AWESOME at the tasting).   My husband and I found Sierra Madre catering through Zury with Linens and Events who is on Pecan Springs Wedding Venue's preferred vendors list. Pricing and accommodations were fabulous. We met with Alex, as well as Zury (they're a fantastic duo!), for our tasting and felt right at home at Sierra Madre's restaurant. The food was amazing, full of flavor, and familiar. The dishes were cohesive and delicious. They both made the booking process incredibly easier and offered all of the accommodations we needed (including bussing services!). We were able to add what we needed to make our buffet style dinner one that our friends and family couldn't forget! On the day of our wedding, Sierra Madre staff as well as Alex, were present for the service and were extremely polite, professional, and well dressed. We would highly recommend both vendors and their full services. Couldn't be happier with their insight, advice, and service provided.

  Alex with Sierra Madre was great. We told him what type of food we were thinking of and he showed us other great options too. Contacting for questions and concerns was very easy and we could always go talk to him at the taqueria. Day of event everything was perfect everyone loved the food and the service was spectacular!!!!

  Owner makes it worth it!

  The owner was amazing at working with what we needed. He even met us at our house for a tasting because we couldn't make it to his restaurant! You really couldn't beat his price for what you got - lots of perks thrown in when you book with him. I will say there was a little inconsistency between the tastings and the food provided at the wedding but overall it was still good.

  Exercise EXTREME CAUTION if you choose Sierra Madre as your caterer. We hired them to cater our wedding recently, and it turned out to be a very disappointing experience. So much so in fact, that our venue owner says that she will never let them work her venue again. Alex came off as being professional and capable all the way up to our wedding day. Then on our big day things changed. Prior to the wedding we asked him on at least 2 occasions (just to make sure), if his team would be filling and refilling the guest’s water & tea glasses. Alex confirmed both times that they would be providing that service. But on the wedding day, he flat out refused and said that it wasn’t in the contract. He said that since there was an open bar, they can get their own drinks. So to pick up Alex’s slack, the venue owner/coordinator had to have her staff fill the water glasses. Also, when it came time to pour and pass out the champagne for the toast, Alex’s team was filling the glasses too high, despite the bartender's warning. When they tried picking up the trey loaded with overfilled glasses, they all spilled. This again caused the venue owner’s people to have to pick up the slack and clean up the mess, and pass out the champagne themselves. Then if that wasn't enough, we had an eye witness (family member) who told us she caught Alex’s team loading cloth napkins (that didn’t belong to them) into trash bags and loading them into their truck. When she confronted the staffer (Alex's wife), she became angry & aggressively denied it. It wasn’t until our family member threatened to bring over a police officer/security over, when she gave the napkins back out of her truck.
  To be fair, they did show up on time, served the food, and the food was good. So my advice to anyone that chooses to hire Sierra Madre, is to make sure that everything Alex promises you, is in writing in the contract. Also, have someone keep an eye on them to make sure nothing goes missing.

  To be fair, they did show up on time, served the food, and the food was good. So my advice to anyone that chooses to hire Sierra Madre, is to make sure that everything Alex promises you, is in writing in the contract. Also, have someone keep an eye on them to make sure nothing goes missing.

  We’re so sorry you feel that way, unfortunately there’s nothing else we could do at your wedding since you only hired 2 servers and not any waiter , remember our best goal is to give our best service and quality in our FOOD but apparently you were more concerned about your cups filled with water, try ordering more staff with your bartender service instead of trying to get a refund from your caterer for something you didn’t pay for
