Friendly and professional service

We loved having Rick and Lee with us on our wedding day. They knew our venue site and how to capture the right lighting. Meeting them for our engagement photoshoot first really helped to understand their style. Looking forward to seeing our final wedding shots!

More than we could ask for!!!

Anyone who is looking for a photographer, Rick and Lee are the ones you want. From the beginning they make you feel extremely comfortable which is HUGE. We received our wedding photos extremely fast and every time I look through them they take me back to that day, they captured every thing we could want and then some. I can't say enough good things about them. If you want your wedding or special event captured you, you want these two. They give you memories that will last forever!!!

First and foremost, Rick and Lee are the kindest and most genuine humans you will find. I knew after simply after speaking with Rick on the phone that these were the people I wanted to capture our special day. They are professional on every level, including their incredibly quick turn around (both our engagement photos and wedding photos were ready in a week or less!) and artistic eye. If you value quality, kindess, humor, professionalism, and all-around good people, look no further! Thank you for everything, Rick and Lee!

We were very happy to choose Siegel's Portrait Design for our wedding this past June. We live out of state so we had to choose our photographer over the phone. The reason we decided to go with them over all the other photographers offered at our venue is because felt we could trust them because of their passion and love for photography. We wanted to pick a photographer who gave us the best value plus someone who would guide us throughout our day and we strongly feel we made the right decision.

They were very easy to work with from the moment we decided to use their services. All our emails and calls were returned promptly. Even now that the wedding is over they are still guiding us on how to make our album the best it can be and giving us valuable advice. The day of the wedding we really enjoyed their presence because they guided us beautifully and were able to keep us on schedule while also giving us the opportunity to enjoy every moment. We felt that we did not even have to think but just smile and enjoy our day while they snapped away taking photos! And the photo quality! We were amazed how well the pictures turned out!

We strongly recommend Siegel's Portrait and definitely would not hesitate to use their services again for future events!

In the beginning while selecting our photographer, we wanted to make sure that our photographer had skills to bring photos to life without the use of software. Although software does play a role in photography, I know Rick and Lee have a keen eye for excellence and do not stray from that one bit. Aside from skill, we also wanted to choose a photographer that was personable. Our families are quite the excited bunch, so we wanted someone who can match that, Rick and Lee were perfect for this.

On our wedding day, Rick and Lee were already there setting up and beginning to shoot. The process has been extremely seamless, it's crazy how well they work together to capture EVERYTHING. I have to admit, I'm not the photogenic type, so usually being told to do things makes me look awkward. With Rick and Lee, they made me look like I knew what I was doing, but really, it was them who knew what they were doing.

Between telling you what to do while posing, moving you into different locations, gathering people for the photo, making reactions, they nailed it. They have this down to a science and it couldn't have been easier. They were thorough with their photos and most importantly, after the ceremony, you didn't even notice where they were to take photos. This isn't to say I wouldn't want to see them, because they're a great couple and I'd invite them to celebrate with us too! They were very discreet and yet, captured everything we could've asked for.

The timeframe for getting our photos back is INCREDIBLE. I'm actually quite shocked that we got our photos back as quick as we did. I can't explain how amazing the photos are, we truly were able to relive the moment of our wedding day (which went by so quickly). We were able to feel th

Rick and Lee are a class act! We couldn't be more pleased with how our wedding and engagement pictures turned out. The husband and wife duo are so personable and easy to work with. My husband and I loved these photographers. Rick and Lee did both our engagement photos as well as our wedding and we love all our pictures. It is very hard to narrow down which ones to frame or print because they are all so good. I only met with one vendor before choosing and I knew the moment I met them that they were it. They are so friendly and down to earth. They were so accommodating on our wedding day. As most brides know the husbands are along for the ride and mine is particularly impatient. When he was about done with all the photos they calmly walked us to another spot to take a few more before my husband even knew what was happening. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

My advice is you chose what makes you happy, comfortable and fits your budget.

I just want to say (since I cannot find another comment box) that Rick and Lee go above and beyond. When you first meet them they ask you questions because they want to get to know you. It's like they become a part of your friends and family. They have great quality of work. They are very professional, even as a husband/wife photography couple. Lee went out of her way on my wedding day to make sure I was comfortable. She was always offering me water. I felt that was amazing because as a photographer she didn't have to do that.

Rick and Lee go above and beyond to make sure you are cool, calm, collected, and prepared before the big day, and just as important they follow up with you after! The photos are the best I've seen in wedding albums and venues, and they are a really down-to-Earth couple that makes everything about the photo shoots fun and relaxing. Rick and Lee are simply amazing. When we first met them, we knew right away that they were the right photographers for us. We loved the fact that we received the best of both worlds working with such a talented couple who have different photographing styles but compliment each other beautifully (and that they are fellow dog lovers too :) ). They are so nice, genuine, personable, and extremely professional and their work is fantastic and it shows! They are also very accommodating with your busy schedule and make it work just for YOU. Our engagement session was a great warm up leading to our wedding and we had so much fun taking those shots while getting to know Rick. On our wedding day, everything became so natural and they made us feel so at ease in front of the camera as well as helping us through the whole process. Rick and Lee have a special hidden strength of calming people down and that is an important asset to have, especially on your wedding day. We have zero complaints and wouldn't of had it any other way but to have had our day captured by Rick and Lee. We absolutely LOVE our engagement and wedding photos and cherish the memories we made taking them and getting to know such a wonderful couple. Taking pictures during a wedding can be a stressful experience, but the Siegels made us feel comfortable and we were very pleased with the photos. We would highly recommend them to anyone in the Sacramento area who is looking for a wedding photographer.

Rick and Lee are amazing! If you haven't heard it yet, your wedding will go by faster than you ever imagined. Your photography is going to be one of the most important things you spend money on. It is the time capsule that lets you re-live all the joy and excitement of your wedding, and these two know how to capture all those special little moments. I'm in the process of building my wedding album now, and it is so hard to chose from all the wonderful shots Rick and Lee got for us. They were able to capture all the classic moments during the ceremony and reception while still finding time to get shots of all the little details. It was awesome to have a two-person team. The variety of photos make it seem like there were at least four photographers, but that just how good they are! The Seigels know how to strike the balance between fun and professionalism, and were an amazing part of our team.

AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL!!! Rick & Lee did an amazing job capturing our special day! Lee helped calm me down after I arrived late and assured me that everything would be fine. WOW WOW WOW- Rick and Lee made our wedding day run so smoothly. The person who was supposed to lace up my dress was running late- Lee jumped in and got it done all the while taking some of the most beautiful pictures I have ever seen. Choosing the photographer for our wedding day was a big decision, it's the images you will look at over and over again to remember your special day. So obviously I was going to be very picky! I can say that choosing Richard and Lee to get the job done was the best decision we could have gone with! They were so wonderful to work with, so comfortable, welcoming and really pays attention what you want. Also, having a two person team was really cool, you get twice the photos, twice the angles and they don't miss a thing! Once we got the pictures from our big day, we were so impressed and they captured every moment that we will be able to look back on for the rest of our lives. It was our perfect day and Richard and Lee really caught all of that in photos. I highly recommend them, you will not be disappointed!

Rick and Lee are a husband and wife team. They are absolutely sweet people and excellent photographers. All of our booking and coordinating was handled by Rick and then Lee was the second shooter at our wedding. One of the things that I appreciated most about them is there willingness to accommodate with our requests on our wedding day. Another thing I appreciated was that they sought to get to know us a little prior to taking any photographs. The only thing I wish I had done is make a list of "must have" photographs for the wedding and email it to Rick so that we would have gotten all that we wanted out of our wedding pictures. It's too hard to remember things in the midst of your own wedding day--I didn't even realize until a day later that we didn't take a closeup shot of our wedding rings! To remedy this, they offered to shoot our rings the next time we were in town. Rick was so patient and responsive when it came to answering my questions about the photo album enhancements--and trust me, I had a lot! The quality of the photo album was even better than my husband and I anticipated. It is absolutely beautiful and will be cherished in our family for generations! We highly recommend the Siegels. Thank you so much, Rick and Lee! You are wonderful photographers and people.

Rick and Lee really made this experience very personal and welcoming. Very friendly and still very professional. They were able to make us look good, even if we didn't think we gave them much to work with...in regards to time, weather complications, and other outstanding factors. Oh boy. This is the easiest review I'll ever write as far as vendors go. Rick and Lee delivers what they promise and then some more.

Let's start with our engagement photos. These photos are the best pictures we've ever had of ourselves. Rick and Lee truly capture our goofy selves and looked 100 times better looking! They even manage to get our grumpy cat to look her best.

On our wedding day, our bridal party showed up so late that we almost burned through our carved out first-looks moments. Rick and Lee made sure that we still have our first looks. I was forever grateful that we didn't have to give up that special moment. I toiled over my DIY projects for the wedding, and Rick and Lee beautifully capture the details, so much better than I thought they could ever looked.

Brides, if you're not sure how your entire day going to pan out, you need to trust Rick and Lee, as they make sure you seamlessly weave in and out of taking pictures, spending time with your guests, and having a good time at your own party! We are in the process of picking our wedding photos, and it is difficult because we love too many of them!

The quality of photography and emotion of expressiveness within the photographs is what first caught my husband's (fiance at the time) eye that made us want to know more about Siegel's photography. After our first consultation with Rick and Lee, we knew right away that they were the ones we wanted to capture the wonderful moments of our Wedding Day!

Rick and Lee had the utmost professionalism and great personalities to make everything run so smoothly. They were very accommodating to our wedding day plans and we loved the ideas and suggestions they came up with for poses and ideas throughout the day. But at any time if there was anything we wanted or ideas we liked, Rick and Lee were always available to listen and make it happen!

Rick and Lee Siegel of Siegel's Portrait Design are an amazing husband and wife photography team. They are very kind, patient, knowledgeable, and highly skilled in what they do. Both our engagement and wedding photos were just beautiful. My husband and I are kind of shy individuals, but Rick and Lee instructed us on how to do different poses and made us feel really comfortable so that our photos turned out looking really natural! :) They also have an adorable dog (Maggie) and have a lot of experience in shooting photos with pets (unfortunately we adopted our dog Bailey several months after our engagement session so we couldn't include him in our photos, but we definitely would've!). The photography package we chose for our wedding was an awesome deal and easily customized. Rick is also pretty prompt about sending you the photos after a shoot and we were able to purchase DVDs of our photo files. Overall, Siegel's Portrait Design is fantastic! My husband and I will definitely consider working with them again for family pictures in the future. ;-) If you're looking for an awesome wedding photography team, consider Rick and Lee Siegel! My husband and I could not have been happier with the way our engagement AND wedding pictures came out. Rick came out to our little town to do the engagement pics and made it so much fun. He was up to anything - hiking the levy, climbing a tree, setting up all his equipment alongside railroad tracks and in parking lots. He was so enthusiastic the whole time - it really put us at ease. We had both him and Lee on our wedding day and they were a wonderful team. Once again, we felt so much at ease with them - they are both so nice and obviously love what they do - it really makes for a great experience. They are excellent at giving specific instructions as to how to stand, turn, etc. - it all seemed funny at first but when you look at the final results in the pictures - the lighting and angles are amazing. Our pictures were available on line when they said they would be and the CD I ordered came within a day of my ordering it! I cannot recommend them highly enough. As my husband and I agreed on Saturday night, we definitely made the best choice when it came to our photographers.

When we first met Rick and Lee we knew right away they were the perfect match for us. They are really down to earth people.When Rick took our engagement photos he really made us feel relaxed and comfortable. My husband doesn't really like having his picture taken,but Rick made him feel comfortable about smiling and just being himself. We have some beautiful photos from it because of him! Thank you. Rick and Lee Siegel did an outstanding job capturing the moments of our special day! Although they do this sort of thing all the time, it's a good idea to have a list of specific photos with friends and family you would like to get. Weddings are a whirlwind and there are some shots I wish I would have been able to get with my friends.

I really did't have much to say with regard to choosing the photographer, but I sure am glad my daughter made the right choice. Both Rick & Lee Siegel went out of their way to accomodate. It was an extra to have both male and female taking pictures because they each had their own individual style of picture taking. And I must say, as the mother of the bride, they did a fantastic job.Their professionalism went above and beyond!!

My husband and I reside in San Jose, Ca and had the most beautiful wedding in Newcastle, Ca - we had a fall wedding which made the colors so amazing. We had a great enagement shoot, where Rick made us feel very comfortable. For our wedding day it was great having both Rick and Lee simultaneously. Rick would be shooting the men while Lee would be with the ladies. It was nice to have the duo so we wouldn't miss anything on the big day. First of all. Call and talk to Rick and Lee. Better yet, schedule an appointment and go and see their albums and meet them in person. My Dad went with me on our first meeting and after looking at their work and talking to them we were sold immediately. You will not find 2 more professional, talented, and personable people that make you feel comfortable from day one. Both comfortable with them working with you customizing what type of photo memories you want them to capture and comfortable with them immediately on a friend and personal level. When we sat down to look at the huge inventory of photos from our wedding day we smiled and shook our heads in amazement at the photos that were captured. Richard and Lee are so awesome at what they do, and they are both wonderful people as well. We cut short our photographer selection process once we had our first meeting with them. We felt so at ease with them and we could definitely see the quality of their work. Siegels Portraits was amazing for our wedding! We received Siegels as a wedding present from great friends. To be honest we were quite skeptical at the beginning. Only because we had know idea what this company was about. Our first meeting with Rick went over very well. He was very uplifting and had so much info on his profession and the love for his company. Not only was our first meeting great, Rick showed us an amazing musical dvd of previous weddings they had photographed.
Rick and his wife Lee are an amazing team, through all the wedding madness of getting ready, ceremony & reception. We thought that we would be unable to see everything that went on though the night, however when we went through all the pictures we found they captured it all for us!! We feel so blessed to have everything that went on through the night on disk. We would and will recommend them to anyone we know that is getting married in the future. Rick and Lee are AMAZING photographers. Their experience, sense of humor, professionalism, and creative eye for detail made for an awesome experience working with them and of course, for fabulous photographs.
It was so lovely to have vendors that I felt I could trust completely on the wedding day. I was so at ease knowing that they would do a phenomenal job...and they delivered just that.
Our venue was a few hours away from their hometown and they drove all the way out there a few months prior to the wedding just to see it so that they would be familiar with it the day of our wedding (and the took some delightful pictures while there!)
They truly go above and beyond what I expected in a photographer. They are a dynamic team and complement each other very well as they each excel in different areas of photography.

My wedding was the best day of my life and I honestly mean it when I say that Richard and Lee helped make that possible. My husband and I had our engagement photos taken by Richard and Lee last year in August and were more than delighted to have them at our wedding. They went above and beyond with professionalism before, during, and after the event. Our photos were extremely important to us and the quality of the pictures is first rate. Richard and Lee create beautiful and timeless art pieces with the camera. They work incredibly well as a team. My father was extremely impressed at how well they cooperated with one another (not to mention everyone else at the event!). It was wonderful to have Lee stay with my girls and I as Richard took pics of my husband and his guys. We were a little more traditional and did not see each other before the event, so it was very reassuring to know that they really respected our wishes regarding the pre-ceremony pictures. From the moment that my husband and I met with Rick and Lee we felt very confident in our decision to hire them, they are friendly and professional and amazing at what they do!! We actually had an appointment scheduled for the next day to meet with another photographer and after our meeting with Rick and Lee, we called and without hesitation cancelled the other meeting! They captured the most amazing photographs from our wedding, the quality of the photos absolutely surpassed all of my expectations and I could not be happier with the final results. Having two photographers that work so well together was key in capturing as many great and diverse shots as Rick and Lee did from our special day and we were able to view the photographs within days of our wedding!! My husband and I waited 10 years to finally tie the knot and the one vendor we were counting on the most was our photographers and Rick and Lee definitely did not disappoint!! Ok, Rick and Lee are simply the best. I interviewed several photographers before meeting with them and saw the difference right away. For one, they listened to what was important to me instead of trying to see me on what they do. What a difference that made. The comfort level and genuine caring personallity were far superior to anyone I have seen before. The day of the wedding was no different and Lee was just the most sweet and beautiful person. She took better care of me than my bridesmaids or family! What a treat! Oh, and our album???? What a delight! A magnificent collection of all of our most prize moments all in a wonderful album. What can one say about the team that is Rick and Lee! They were awesome! And they rocked on our wedding day. They blended in seamlessly with the crowd so we never felt like we were "performing" and in the end took stunning photos. Their energy was infectious which lit up the room, immediately putting my husband and I at ease.

They were also prepared for anything. For example, I stepped on my dress in the grass and got a big old grass stain. Lee had a tide stick on her which immediately reduced the stain.

We had a blast and their photography showed it.

The Siegel's were great to work with from the time we first met them while exploring our options, to our wedding day, and creating our album. As a bride I had numerous photos in mind and the Siegel's made them all happen. They even had some great suggestions for my husband and my adventurous nature. Rick and Lee did the photography for our Napa wedding, and we could not have asked for better. We chose them based on their beautiful photos and albums, but I would definitely recommend them for their exceptional customer service. They were incredibly down-to-earth and easy to work with when we were choosing our package.
On the day of the wedding, they took all the craziness in stride and kept cool and calm, getting all of the photos we had requested, and even some very creative shots we hadn't thought of. Lee was fantastic- she even had a stain remover pen on hand for when I stained my dress! I LOVED everything about them. The only thing I would say is book early cause their time slots fill up and you want to get the most out of the packages you are receiving. Well worth it! Rick and Lee are WONDERFUL and made our day so special!

Both Rick and Lee were so amazing through the entire process! I am really shy and they really helped me to feel comfortable and at ease on my wedding day, which really made our pictures turn out so wonderfully! I felt like I was really special and I had a friend taking pictures. The pictures are beautiful and our album is so perfect!

Rick and Lee were fantastic to work with! Immediately upon meeting them we knew we wanted to do business with them and have them there to capture our special day. As we sat discussing our wants and needs it did not feel at all as if we were looking to hire a vendor, rather it felt like we were getting back together with old friends that we hadn't seen in a while. The conversation was easy and very pleasant. Rick and Lee emphasized that we take a engagement session even though we had already had a friend of ours snap some "engagement photos" at a local park. I am so glad that we listened to them. Having a camera in your face and clicking away can be very awkward. I am so glad that our first experience with this was not on our actual wedding day. Plus, it gave us another opportunity to get to know Rick a little better and become more comfortable with him and his camera. As for the day of, our experience with them was good. I think that there were a couple things that could have been done in order to get the rating of the "great" but I honestly believe that was due to the day of event coordinator extremely rushing things along in an effort to stick to her strict time line, not necessarily a reflection of Rick and Lee. They seemed like they were trying to put their foot down ensuring that we had plenty of time and would capture all the perfect shots that we had wanted...which was much appreciated. There is so much to stress about, and thinking about the outcome of your pictures can really put the icing on the cake especially once you realize that at the end of the day, the pictures are all that you have left to best re-tell the story of your BIG day! Mostly, I think that I was most impressed by Rick's eye for design. He made us a truly breath taking album that we love to look back at and show off to friends and family. I cant thank them enough. It was one of the best days of our lives and through brilliant pictures we can relive it any time we want.

Rick and Lee were wonderful! They made us feel comfortable right away and were very professional. The pictures came out beautiful and we will treasure them for years to come. We highly recommend Siegel's Portrait Design to anyone looking for amazing photographers!

Rick and Lee were great to work with! They were fun and listened to our suggestions and what we wanted! They got our proofs back in speedy time, I couldn't believe how fast I got the cd's in the mail. On our wedding day they were there with perfect timing, and left discreetly as they didn't not want to distract us. I would definitely recommend Siegel portraits to anyone looking for a photographer!

If you provide a detailed list of photos you would like to have during your wedding day, Rick and Lee will try their best to get all of them done. But keep in mind that they are only 2 people and might not be able to get to all the items in the designated amount of time.

There are a few big ticket items that I wish would have been done and weren't: pictures of my Dad seeing me for the first time, pictures of me with my bridesmaids (individual shots), pictures with just my parents/his parents, and the escorts walking down the Grandmother of the Groom and Mother of the Bride were cut out of the pictures (they were family and very important/special moments to be captured).

But overall great experience and the pictures are absolutely gorgeous.

Great wedding photographers! Very easy to get along with.
My only complaint is that you have to pay to get the wedding photos on top of paying for their services. Which would have been perfectly fine/expected if we were told this from the very beginning. Back when I got married, all of my friends/family and many other people who I had heard about would pay their photographer a certain amount before the wedding and then receive their wedding photos as soon as the photographer was done editing them. I assumed this is how all wedding photographers worked, but I guess I shouldn't have assumed. After the wedding I found out that, if we wanted our wedding photos (on a flash drive), we would have to pay several hundred dollars more. This was a very unpleasant surprise. Like I said before, I wouldn't have minded if this had been clearly stated from the beginning... But it definitely wasn't. Just a warning.
*Disclaimer* -- this was well over a year ago. I do not know if they have changed the way they do things since I got married.
