A Lot for a Little $$$$

As an older bride, I wanted a video with emphasis on family and friends. I got that plus so much more. Somehow SidebySide conveyed the feelings, the love from our guests to us. Everyone at our wedding was captured at just the right moment. We highly recommend them based on ease of communication, reliability and cost.

Absolutely Amazing!!!

I cannot say enough good things about SidebySideCinema. Danielle and Jared made the whole experience of finding and hiring them to be our videographer so easy. They were able to show us some amazing productions from past weddings and answered my millions of questions about the packages and their services and responded in such a timely manner. My husband and I cried seeing our highlight reel, ceremony and reception videos. Danielle and Jared truly made magic and let us relive our perfect day through their videos. We can't thank them enough for the high quality videography they produced. They truly are an amazing team!

An easy-going, professional power couple!

I found Danielle and Jared, the owners of Side by Side, online.

Upon reaching out, I spoke with Danielle and she was super easy-going and professional. It was stress-free working with them -- they asked me to fill out a page or two about my preferences, we had a phone call a few months before our wedding to meet each other, and then got back in touch about a month before my wedding date about scheduling and logistics.

The day of, Danielle and Jared reflected that same easy-going attitude. They worked with my photographer to partner up when it made sense to. They worked really well as a team (they are husband and wife, after all :) ). As a bride, my definition of an amazing vendor is when they're quiet. This might be a weird thing to say, but that's when I know that they're professional and confident, and for a videographer, able to focus on capturing as much footage as possible without getting in the way of any other vendors.

We got our videos a few weeks after our wedding and they're SPECTACULAR. They gave us a couple of videos to help capture different elements of the day (highlight, ceremony, reception, and bonus footage). Nothing felt overproduced or undervalued -- they truly hit the mark on showing how our wedding was, representing every element really well. The end result looked natural and reflective of our day. We showed the videos to some family members who fell ill and couldn't attend last minute, and they thoroughly enjoyed all of the footage.

The most important vendor you will hire!

Making the decision to hire a skilled videographer is the best money we spent on our wedding day. Danielle and Jared are professional and extremely talented with their work. We love watching our wedding videos and get to relive our special day every time we do. Their disposition was calm and never distracting. Having vendors with big personalities can be overbearing and stressful on your big day. These guys did their work quietly behind the scenes and provided a beautiful result.
One of the things I wanted so badly on my wedding day was some drone footage. Jared managed to pull this off despite the strong winds and poor weather we had on our wedding day. The sound quality was also incredible despite the wind. I give these guys 5 stars and highly recommend them!

In addition to being incredibly professional and talented, Danielle and Jared are some of the most thoughtful and kind people we met.

We are so impressed with their knowledge and ability to make sure that the moments from our wedding day were effortlessly captured. From the ceremony to the cocktail hour to dinner to the dance floor. It was beautifully captured. SidebySide clearly spent time preparing before and after our event - and this showed.

Incredible!

My best friend came across sidebyside and I instantly fell in love with the way they captured each wedding. So it was an easy decision which videographer to use on our special day. It amazed me how Danielle and Jared were able to piece together hours and hours of footage into 4 or so minutes, highlighting the most important parts of that day for us. It’s as if we were right there with them while editing. From start to finish they were so sweet and professional and they made us feel so comfortable throughout the whole process. Whenever I hear of someone getting engaged I say use sidebyside each time, you won’t regret it!

Jared & Danielle made my wedding video dreams come true

As someone who practices videography in their daily job, I knew that trusting someone with my wedding video would be tough. However, as someone who has worked with Jared and Danielle, I have seen the work they do. I was almost intimidated to ask if they’d be willing to work with my budget, but they were flexible in making my dream video come true. They are the epitome of professionalism. They take what they do seriously and it shows. I had my initial wedding in 2020 during COVID, and I think the best part of hiring Jared and Danielle is that they were aware of this. They intended to make our video a celebration of us and the friends and family that were finally able to join us for our wedding anniversary. They followed my detailed shot list to the T (which I very much appreciated), and still left room for creativity. Their editing style exceeded my expectations, including not only shots of my husband and I together but also lots and lots of smiles from our guests. I also loved that they were able to incorporate a special speech from one of my husband’s groomsmen throughout the video, showing that they are truly gifted storytellers. So glad we found Side by Side to be our videographers

Honestly, don't read my review -- just book Side by Side Cinema now! It was difficult to decide on a wedding videographer -- I watch so many videos trying to find the style that appealed most, and I found that with Jared and Danielle's work. They are so adept at capturing the emotions of a wedding and I liked their editing style. Leading up to the wedding, they were quick to respond to any questions and were very organized. At the wedding we honestly forgot they were there -- you barely notice them filming, but it is obvious that they are catching every detail.
My husband and I just received our wedding highlight film and featurette film and are SO in love. The editing, music, and attention to detail is amazing. We were both crying at the end of the video because Jared and Danielle captured so many beautiful moments from our wedding that mattered to us, like our first dance and first look, and clips of our family and friends enjoying the wedding and having a good time. They really conveyed the joy of our wedding with our close family and friends. I am so happy that we found Side by Side and that we now have these beautiful films to revisit year after year. Couldn't be any a happier!

It was such a blessing to have found Jared and Danielle! They were fun to work with and handled everything with professionalism and poise. We were blown away when we saw our final wedding videos. Amazing Videographers

My husband was on the fence about whether we needed a videographer for our wedding and thought that having a photographer would be enough. One year later, his family still asks for links to our wedding videos. Our photos are treasured by us, but nothing could capture the exact energy and tone of the night like our partners at SidebySide could.

We found Danielle and Jared to be wonderful partners through the entire process. They explained everything we needed to do and were patiently in the background for all of the most important highlights of our big day. The end result is just so impressive to us and is something we keep going back to one year later. Their sense of timing and framing is impeccable.

Danielle and her husband Jared make the most incredible team! They are such warm people and are phenomenal at what they do. There is no better team

I'm a pretty dumb guy and wedding videography hadn't really registered in my brain as a thing until the missus and I started planning our big to do. I confess I was hesitant a bit at first . . . I have zero regrets. Videography is critical to capturing and holding onto the vibe of the big day. Jared and Danielle are a fun couple, so they know how to get the fun of the day into their work. Sometimes the fun is a glance between bridesmaids or a sideward remark from a groomsman. Along with the laughter they also capture the pauses, the silence when it's most meaningful. The capture the environment, the friends, the family, the memory. There is no better team.

Can’t say enough good things about SidebySide!

My wife and I had a fairly small and simple wedding, but planning our special day and being in the wedding itself was nevertheless stressful. Working with professionals like Jared and Danielle of SidebySide Cinema helped alleviate that stress and ultimately left us with happy memories. From the very start, Danielle listened to our needs and expectations and helped make the videography costs work for our budget. On the day of the wedding, the two videographers worked efficiently to capture all of the important moments, were very pleasant to interact with, and made us feel special on our big day. We enjoyed watching Jared and Danielle collaborate with our photographer to create the best shots possible. We opted for the edited ceremony plus a highlight video and were extremely pleased with our finished product. We could see the care and expertise that they put into their work as we watched our wedding videos. It brought tears to my wife’s eyes and smiles to our faces to be able to relive those moments from our wedding. Love this husband wife team!
Danielle and Jared are amazing at what they do! They both make you feel so comfortable and at ease. Very professional and so friendly!
All smiles. The venue we were at was large (The San Diego Zoo’s Safari Park) so transportation could’ve been sticky but they rolled with it and everything fell into place.
I can’t wait to see their finished product!!

An extra bonus; hearing some of my other vendors commenting on who I booked for videography, and they were super excited to work with them.

Jared and Danielle of SidebySide Cinema were amazing to work with! We were referred to them by our DJ, who spoke highly of their work and even used them for his own promotional video. As we watched sample wedding videos from a few videographers, it was evident that we loved their style of storytelling the most! On the day of the wedding, Jared and Danielle were both so friendly and our bridal party loved them! We took a while choosing the songs we wanted for our wedding videos, but they were super patient with us. We recently received the films and absolutely loved all of it! We had so much fun at the wedding that we wanted to do it over again, and watching the videos allowed us to relive all the fun and excitement again! We are so thankful that we decided to have Danielle and Jared of Side by Side Cinema with us on our big day. I can’t even begin to express how well SidebySide Cinema captured our wedding day on film and on top of that, the pleasure it was to work with them. Not only were Jared & Danielle flexible enough to accommodate our timeline without ever making us feel rushed, but they worked so well with our photographer. They were both seemingly always in the right place at the right time to capture the most candid and heartfelt moments of our wedding. And to top it all off, Danielle & Jared had this effortless air about them that made it all look easy.

Danielle & Jared of Side by Side Cinema were amazing to work with and the quality of my videos has me watching them frequently. I planned my wedding from Texas and our venue was the La Jolla Shores Hotel. It was challenging to choose vendors from so far away but not with Side by Side. Sidebyside was our first choice for videography, and good thing I booked them well in advance of the big day, since I heard Oct was a busy month for weddings. Their pricing is competitive, but their video quality and filming professionalism is top notch.

I wanted to save the proper review for after the final product is out...We recently got the film back for our wedding out in Temecula...It turned out so great ! We were so lucky and blessed with good weather on our wedding day, and our venue (Villa de Amore) just looked so special and gorgeous on film. Jared and Danielle were amazing to work with, they showed up early to film at the house we were getting ready at. They even accommodated our requests to film a short tea ceremony we did with family, before our actual ceremony with all the guests. The music and captured moments were so great...and the video was fun to watch, especially the detailed shots of the decor, flowers, wedding attire and the like. With our package, we even got the blooper/funny moments reel. It really is like reliving your special day all over again! Thank you so much and I highly recommend their service :).

Danielle and Jared were wonderful! They were able to work independently, but were still flexible enough to honor our requests, which was helpful to us, as we didn't exactly feel comfortable in front of the camera. We loved the variety of options that were offered with video lengths, which made sharing our day easy, depending on the audience. There seemed to be the perfect video length for any situation. Sidebyside really did capture our wedding beautifully, and we love having a wedding video we actually want to watch!

Getting your photos back is great and all, but when you get the video, it's even better. You get to relive it all over again and that is priceless. My husband and I have watched it on our anniversary and anytime we feel like reliving that amazing day. Jared and Danielle are so sweet and make you feel comfortable. They're professional and reliable as well. Go with sidebyside and you won't regret it.

If you're on the fence about having a videographer at your wedding, definitely go for it!

Jared and Danielle are amazingly talented at what they do, and they're a ton of fun! They were respectful of our photographers, but also assertive - they made sure to get the shots they wanted and it shows. They captured elements of our wedding I didn't even know were happening, and after watching our highlight videos I immediately requested the raw footage (and extra DVDs for our parents). I highly recommend just buying everything they have up front. It's well worth it, and their rates are incredibly reasonable. Bonus points, they list all their pricing on their site, which was so refreshing while I was hunting down rates from other vendors.

We LOVED Jared and Danielle! We knew a few people that used them for their wedding and they went above and beyond our expectations. During the first look we were both so nervous and excited to see each other but they both made the situation easy and comfortable. They were professional, friendly, and so much fun to be around. Best money spent on our wedding!!! We had exhausted our budget and put off videography towards the end of planning. After talking to family and friends, they told us it's so different having the wedding on film to look back on....they were soooo right! At your wedding, you get pulled in so many directions and there are so many events happening through out that you don't get to see all of the details or special moments that happen around you. SidebySide returned our video only a month after our BIG day and we had the opportunity to watch all of the footage video after our honeymoon. It was like reliving it on film!!! They did an incredible job capturing all of the details...my family thought our highlight reel was a trailer for a show...yes it's that great! They pay attention to every detail, all the way down to the packaging they send the DVDs in. Even the DVD menu incorporated the live music played at our wedding. Their personal touches are incredible!!! Highly recommend!!

As full time Wedding Photographers and Wedding Cinematographers ourselves, we are very picky with whom we would hire to capture our wedding day. We chose to hire Side by Side Cinema for our wedding cinematography needs and couldn't have made a better decision. We were looking for real professional STORYTELLERS. (something that you only find in 10% in all of the wedding cinematography industry)

Our wedding day at the Hotel Palomar was a disaster with so many things going wrong PRIOR to, the DAY OF and AFTER the wedding (ALL from hotel staff ONLY and NOT any of our external wedding day vendors: Coordinator, Photographers, Cinematographers, Florist, Lighting, etc... ). Additionally, it was the biggest storm in San Diego in years which affected our locations for photography and cinematography. Regardless of the negative external factors which made the day rough, Jared and Danielle captured all the MOMENTS and OUR STORY so PERFECTLY!

I can go on and on and ramble about how professional, dedicated, passionate, friendly, talented, educated, skilled, etc..etc..etc.. that Jared and Danielle are... but in all honesty, it doesn't do me any justice with this review to explain how forever grateful and happy my wife and I are with their storytelling, work, and service. You would have to go meet with and hire them yourselves to experience the same joy and assurance we have had throughout the whole process with Jared and Danielle.

Side by Side Cinema will always be amongst the elite wedding filmmakers in the industry in our eyes and we are excited to see what's in store for them in the future!

Danielle and Jared are the most talented videographers in Southern California! We were so picky about who to pick and thanks to San Diego A list , they were rated #1 and I'm sure this year they are #1 as well!

SidebySide is amazing! We were recommended by 2 of my bridesmaids to use them as they were the videographers for their weddings. Both Danielle & Jared are so friendly, professional and just knew how to make our families, bridal party and us (the bride & groom) feel extremely comfortable. Before the big day we went through with them things that were important to us... and they captured all of it. We went with a package that gave us a 20 minute video of all the highlights plus we got the entire ceremony and all important events during the reception. The videos we received are perfect... the flow of the video, the quality of the camera angles and all the important things we wanted to see were captured. we have now been married almost a year and have at least watched the video probably 30x... each time it puts a smile on our faces and helps us relive our favorite day. I would highly recommend SidebySide to couple looking for a quality videographer! Thank you Danielle & Jared! -

They are simply the BEST! You will not be disappointed in booking them. I've had several people come to me and say it was the best wedding video they have ever seen. Once a stranger to me (friend of my aunt) came up to me at a restaurant and started crying talking about it to me. She was so moved by our wedding and was so blessed that my aunt (thank goodness she threw that one in there) had sent it to her. They are great and amazing people plus the same at what they do! It is worth every penny!!

Side by Side Cinema was awesome. They make you incredibly comfortable in front of the lens and at no time does it feel obtrusive or like you’re being forced into infomercial-like testimonials! We felt that they were conspicuous when they needed to be to get the right shot, but disappeared into the background when appropriate. They are absolutely well worth the investment. You only get one shot at the best video.

Jared and Danielle were beyond amazing! The definition of professionalism and highest quality. If anybody wants to capture one of their most important moments of their lives, there is no better option to take.
Not only is their work top notch, but as people they are some of the most kind, easy-going, fun people we've ever had the pleasure to work with. You feel and see the passion they have in their work, and that's so rare to find nowadays.
Even after my now wife and I won 50% off another videographers service at a bridal bazaar, there was just no way we were going to settle and not go with the best of the best in Jared and Danielle. Easily one of our best decisions we made for our wedding!

Jarrod and Danielle were amazing and we were so happy to have them as our videographers for our special day. They have a way of connecting with you and really capturing the emotions of the moment. Their videos tell a story of the journey of a wedding from the start of the day to the end. They are able to put together the footage to music that really brings out the happiness, love, and excitement from the wedding every time you watch the video. I wouldn't hesitate to have them work an event of mine again. Not only were they the highest caliber of professionalism, they were comfortable to be around and were able to help us relax and be ourselves. Half the time we didn't even notice them recording and documenting precious moments that will now live on through the video for lifetimes to come. My hubby and I met Danielle & Jared at a Bridal Bazaar and were immediately blown away by their work. Their videos stood out above and beyond any other companies that were featured at the event. We knew we wanted them to be our videographers for our wedding. They did not disappoint! We got a beautiful video shortly after our wedding that we still enjoy watching. They also put together a 4-minute recap video that highlights some of the best moments of our big day - this is a great way to share our wedding with others who were unable to attend. Danielle & Jared are very sweet people and the Wedding Video they created for us is AMAZING! We just celebrated our first anniversary and we watched it all again. The way the video was shot captured all of the fantastic details of our day - the scenery, the table settings, the special looks on our family members' faces..... Jared and Danielle were a pleasure to work with and our wedding video was absolutely amazing! My wedding was in March of 2012 and every time we watch the video it feels like we're re-living the day all over again! The audio was very clear as well on the video which was great. The two of them are both very talented and make a great team. We felt very comfortable working with them and they did a great job of capturing all the pieces of our day. Hiring a videographer was one of the best choices we made for our wedding. While I absolutely love looking through my pictures, I also truly enjoy being able to relive the excitement of the day through be watching our actions, hearing our vows, and listening to the toasts.

The decision to hire Jared and Danielle was an easy one. Their portfolio showed a a good mix of creativity and timelessness. What stood out to me was the quality of the video. I knew we would be able to pull out the video years from now and still admire the quality of the work.

Aside from the quality of their work, Jared and Danielle are just good people. I enjoyed working with them and getting know them. They we are always quick to answer my questions and easy any concerns I have.

I truly love our video and would recommend SidebySide to anyone looking for a videographer.

I couldn't have asked for more from SidebySide Cinema. I found them at one of the bridal bazaars and when I got home I checked out their website and was amazed by the quality of their sample videos. I set up a meet and greet to see what they could offer and loved the dvd they brought to show me. It was one of the easiest decisions I had to make for my wedding. They answered every question I had for them during the whole planning process. On the wedding day itself, they were easy to work with and very organized. I barely even noticed they were there. :) The finished product was the best I have ever seen. Family and friends keep commenting on how beautiful the video was. They are worth every penny! Jared & Danielle of Side by Side Cinema are two incredibly talented people! The wedding film they created for us is absolutely stunning and is something we will cherish forever.

Jared and Danielle were professional and unobtrusive on our wedding day BUT they still managed to be everywhere to capture the little moments and details perfectly. They were able to capture things that photography alone cannot! I didn’t have a chance to meet Jared and Danielle in person before the wedding day because we were planning from out of town, but they were so nice and friendly, which really helped to ease some of my wedding day nerves.

For our first look before the ceremony, they had a mic on my husband so that you can hear our reactions to seeing one another perfectly. I absolutely love that they captured this special moment between us!

Throughout the film, the quality of the sound and video is incredible.

They edited a 5 minute highlight film to share with our friends and family online, and a longer “feature film” edit, in addition to just capturing the full ceremony and reception events. The highlight and feature film really tell a story and are beautifully edited and set to music. The edits truly captured the look and feel of our wedding day so perfectly. We can’t stop watching them!

And, as the icing on the cake, they got us our wedding DVD including the feature film and 5 minute highlight edits as well as the full ceremony and reception events within a month of our wedding - what a wonderful surprise!! We are so thrilled we booked Jared & Danielle - they really are amazing at what they do and wonderful to work with.

I can't say enough good things about Danielle and Jared. A videographer was last on our wedding list, due to budget restraints. We weren't sure if we wanted one, because all the ones we had seen in San Diego were soo pricey. We already had a great photographer, did we really need a videographer? My wedding planner had recently worked with Side by Side, and sent me their info. I followed up, and I am SO glad I did. Their packages were significantly less expensive than the other recommendations I had gotten in San Diego. But more importantly, when we met with Danielle and Jared for a consultation, we knew right away they were perfect for us. We met them at their home, and they were very laid back, totally understanding to our indecision as to whether or not we even wanted their services. We ended up hiring them for the wedding, and I can't say just how grateful I am that we did. They captured moments that could not have been captured by still camera, and they floated through the wedding so well. When we watched our wedding blu-ray (we also got multiple DVDs), I cried. I am so glad we caught the speeches, especially. They were wonderful, and I am recommending them to a friend who may get married in San Diego next year!

LOVED Jared & Danielle. They did a video of us about how we met that was played at our reception--we wanted it to have a "Modern Family" kinda vibe, and they executed it perfectly! They did a great job about listening to our ideas, but while still taking charge of our session--which was great since we aren't too much into planning details. The are both really fun to be around (which makes a nervous morning feel a bit better) and they were really discrete during our ceremony (which was good since it was held in a church). Can't wait to see our DVD--esp since our "Our Story" turned out so well!

We randomly found SidebySide online doing research on a potential wedding site and really loved the wedding video we were watching. So we investigated who made the video and it was done by Danielle and Jared.

They are a husband and wife combo and let me tell you, they know their stuff! We watched other videos on their site and just continued to fall in love with them. Once we found our wedding site was going to be in Long Beach, we were thrilled they were still willing to make the drive.

The two of them work so well together, they are on walkie talkie constantly communicating with each other and just seemed to be in all the right places the entire wedding. They even had 3 camera angles during the ceremony. They had every key moment in our video and did an amazing job at capturing the moment of the evening. As we watched the video it brought back all the exact emotions we had the night of our wedding. The transitions were smooth and they found great clips to match with the music we picked out ahead of time.

They may be just a little pricey but let me tell you, IT'S WORTH EVERY PENNY! They caught what my photographer didn't get. On the DVD we got pre-ceremony footage, ceremony footage and reception footage. All lasting a little over an hour. Then they recapped all the footage with a 5 minute video for friends and family.

Amazing Team, Amazing footage, Amazing Final Product.
Do yourself a favor and BOOK THEM NOW, you wont regret it!

My husband and I had planned our wedding from the bay area and found Side by Side Video while searching online for a videographer. We wanted someone who filmed weddings in an almost movie like quality. We both fell in love with them and their work as soon as we met them. They exceeded every expectation that we had. We were so happy and excited about our video that we couldn't wait to share it with everyone we knew. These two are very professional and really do an outstanding job when it comes to capturing the essence of your event. Every happy moment, every touching moment, right down to the details. The quality of their work is outstanding and one of the best out there. I couldn't have hoped for two better people to document the most important day of our lives. I work as a wedding photographer in San Diego and was a bit apprehensive about being on the other side of a video camera on my wedding day, but having worked with so many videographers I knew sidebyside would deliver outstanding work and be a blast to work with. Danielle and Jared did such an amazing job! They were so laid back and fun to work with and totally put us at ease. The video was very artistic and captured the emotion and excitement of the day. Danielle and Jared are really wonderful to work with. They are very responsive to email and phone calls. They are very professional and a pleasure to have at the wedding. I honestly can not say enough positive things about this vendor. I booked them at the last minute (two weeks before the wedding!) having never even met them, they drove out from San Diego (my wedding was in Malibu), I barely even knew they were there during the ceremony and reception (but when I did meet them they were incredibly nice!), the "teaser" for our video was up in about 3 weeks, and we had our videos in hand about two weeks after that. So, logistically, I could not have asked for anything smoother.

As for the quality of their work...unbelievable. Not only am I absolutely in love with the trailer and video, but all my family and friends were floored by the quality and want to recommend them to their friends. They captured every little detail (and having paid a lot of attention to the details of my wedding, I really appreciated it) and the overall FEEL of the wedding so perfectly. I don't think they missed a thing or a face. I both cry and laugh everytime I watch it, and I know it will be something I will treasaure forever.

SidebySide Video saved the day! My fiance and I weren't sure we wanted to hire a videographer and at the last minute we changed our minds. Thank goodness, because Danielle and Jared did an excellent job. Not only were they flexible and accomodating, but they captured our wedding day from the perfect perspective. We loved working with this couple and got a great video. Their prices are so reasonable, yet they give a great product! Everything is put together so well with the music (you select the songs you want) - you can tell they really think about each frame. They included everything we wanted. We booked them close to our wedding date, yet they did everything to make it work for us. I'd definitely recommend using them.
