Perfect in every way!

DJ Burton is THE BEST. There were literally several instances in the middle of our dance party where my friends and I looked at each other and mouthed "holy shit he's amazing".

To me, finding music for our wedding was the most difficult task because unlike other vendors, you don't really know what you're going to get (unless you've been to a wedding with the vendor). That is to say - there's no instagram post or youtube clip or photo that does it justice. So without any references (we didn't know anyone who had gotten married recently in south FL)...I set off to find a band or DJ who had three qualities: (1) Ability to corral people, make announcements, etc. (2) Ability to read a room, get people moving and play good music to our taste and (3) Responsible and communicative vendor. Often times you'll get a DJ who plays a great set, but they're awful at speaking and making announcements. Other times it's the opposite.

When I saw DJ BJ (Burton)'s background, I knew he was our best chance to get all three. He is a radio DJ on the weekends (ability to make announcements and interact with strangers), he plays at Miami clubs at night (can read a room and play good music), and he is the owner of Shutdown Productions (professional and reliable).

He way exceeded all our expectations by a landslide. Because I had some other vendor issues the week of, I didn't have much time to micromanage DJ BJ....and with the little information I provided Burton...wow. His ability to adjust on the fly (because no wedding goes exactly the way it's planned), the music he played, his ability to seamlessly transition one song to another, his clear communication with us. You won't be disappointed. I think we all wanted to bring him back with us to the after party, if only he didn't have to jet off and play at the club that evening :)

DJ BJ is a top notch professional. I know his business will go very far! Do yourself a favor and hire him.

Miami Wedding

We had an amazing experience working with Burton as our wedding DJ! From start to finish, he was incredibly easy to work with and consistently communicative, which made the entire process feel smooth and stress-free. One of the standout features was the app he used for song selection, it was easy to use & really helped us feel in control of the vibe we wanted for each part of the night. Best DJ you could ever pick for your day

We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ for our wedding. From the first conversation to the last song of the night, Burton was organized, attentive, and genuinely committed to creating the exact vibe we wanted.

They read the room perfectly — the transitions were smooth, the energy never dipped, and the dance floor stayed full all night. They coordinated seamlessly with our planner and kept everything on schedule without ever feeling intrusive.

Highly Recommend

DJ Burton absolutely exceeded our expectations. Even though we only had about 30 guests, he made it feel like a full-blown party - so many of our guests were out on the dance floor the entire night. He was fantastic at reading the room and took our spontaneous song requests with ease, keeping the energy high and the music on point. Leading up to the wedding he was incredibly professional and communicative, checking in with us regularly to make sure everything was in place. He also touched base with us at the start of the reception to confirm the flow of the night, which we really appreciated. We also opted for some of his extras- the smoke cloud, confetti, and the 360 photo booth - all of which were a huge hit with our guests and make the night feel extra special. Overall, DJ Burton is excellent at what he does. He's professional, talented, and truly knows how to elevate a celebration. Highly recommend!!

If you want a party, you'll get a party

We hired Shut Down Productions for our wedding in Miami. We met with Burton over video before we signed with them and he was super friendly and willing to work within our budget. We were looking specifically for someone with knowledge of Caribbean music (soca, dancehall, reggae) and we found that here. They provided uplightling and 4 hours of DJ + MC services for our event. Before our event, they had us fill out a very detailed questionnaire for our music choices and Burton did a great job at taking our requests and blending Caribbean music with American music. The dancefloor was never empty and Burton kept the crowd hype all night! Thank you Shut Down Productions for an amazing, unforgettable night

If you want a party that your guests will talk about for years to come you’ll choose Shut Down Productions, and more specifically Burton Williams, as your DJ and entertainment company.

Burton was the most timely, respectful, professional, prepared, and overall electric DJ we had the absolute pleasure of working with for our wedding day.

As we looked for a DJ it was top of mind to have someone who felt comfortable playing all genres of music. Burton seamlessly blended R&B, Hip-hop, Pop, Country, Salsa, Merengue, Bachata… I mean you name it he played it. He kept our guests off their feet the entire night!

We also rented a photo booth through him that was an absolute hit with our guests. They provided all the props, and it captured the best high-quality photos.

I could not be happier with our decision to work with SDP and Burton, they are without a doubt worth every penny and more! Trust the professionals and they will not disappoint!

If we could give ten stars, we would. DJ Burton delivered beyond our expectations. It was because of Burton and his assistant that our wedding was an amazing time. Everything was top quality. Burton DJ’d our wedding at The Palms Hotel and it was absolutely amazing! He was timely, played all of our favorite songs, and our guests had an amazing time!

Dancing and fun all night

Shutdown Productions. AMAZING! We found out about this DJ company from attending a friends wedding back in 2019, in Orlando fast forward to wedding planning in Miami, 2022, we already knew who we wanted to DJ for our wedding. From being a wedding guest, to being the bride and groom of our wedding, their name holds true! They shut it down in the best way! We had Mr. Burton himself, MC our wedding, and DJ Blink. To this day, 2 months later, we are still getting compliments of how great the music was at our wedding. The communication was great throughout and the run of wedding the days leading up to our wedding, only solidified our decision of choosing them. Best DJ Ever! True Professionals

I would strongly recommend Shutdown to any couple looking for a DJ. Our DJ Al was so attentive to all our needs and went over every detail with us. Not only this, but he offered so many helpful suggestions and advice that improved our experience so much. This ability to blend the clients wishes with experience is the mark of a true professional. We worked with Burton at Shut Down for our rehearsal dinner and wedding day at Ocean Reef Club. He was extremely professional, on top of everything, and hands down the best DJ we’ve ever experienced! Wow, what a night!

Burton at Shut Down Productions is a pro. Working with him leading up to the wedding was easy and stress free. Between work and wedding prep, I didn't give much input or direction. Ended up being a few song suggestions and conversations about overall all vibe and that was it. Burton was so great to work with that we requested him specifically. This meant a 6+ hour round trip for him. Although his other DJs are probably fantastic, it was great choice for us. He just understood what we were looking for and conducted a masterpiece. On point all night. What a great time!

Shut Down Productions Kept the Party on the Dance Floor in Key Largo

Talk about a party!!! Burton and Al at Shut Down Productions kept our wedding guests involved and the party rockin' all night! Al read the room and the party on the dance floor proved that! I loved that I was able to send them my playlists and song requests for all portions of our day. The cold sparklers were a must-have and created an amazing vibe to start and end our reception! One of my favorite options we chose was the slideshow DJ booth! I included hundreds of photos of us as a couple and with our guests and family and everyone loved seeing those photos play throughout the night. Our guests loved the photobooth and props - there was never a moment where it was empty! We were also able to add our wedding logo to the bottom right of all of the photobooth photos, which was a unique touch. ! Shut Down truly played a huge part in making our day and event a hard one to forget -- from the ceremony audio, to cocktail hour music, introductions, to every detailed moment of the reception was perfectly executed! A huge thank you to Burton and Al at Shut Down Productions for providing the perfect atmosphere for our big day!

Best music at a wedding ever

Having great music and creating a party atmosphere was a high priority for my husband and I and DJ AL P understood the assignment.

All of our guests couldn’t stop raving about how awesome he was.

Prior to our day, Al and I had a phone conversation and went over all the details from ceremony music, cocktail hour and reception. He is personable, kind and reads the crowd perfectly.

If you want a packed dance floor all night go ahead and hire Al P!! He will not disappoint.

Burton and his team did a fantastic job at our wedding and I will be recommending Shut Down Productions to my friends in the future. Burton had the party so live my aunties were trying to get him and his assistant to dance with them on the 360 photo booth!

Burton made everything easy for me process wise leading up to my wedding. I just had to tell him the vibe I was looking for and he took it and ran with it. He accommodated my last minute requests for the 360 photo booth with no issue (the 360 photo booth was worth every dollar and you get to keep all the videos).

Thank you again to the Shut Down Productions team!! I had nothing but positive feedback from all my friends and family about how great the DJ was.

Amazing and over the top professionalism!

At our wedding we knew we wanted something that would be interactive and entertain all our guests. The 360 Photo Booth was exactly what we were looking for!

We worked with Burton J of Shut Down Productions. He was recommended to us by a friend who had used his DJ services. From our first phone call till the day of the wedding he was very attentive, punctual and answered all of our questions. On the day of our wedding he was the first one there and had everything set up when we walked into the venue. I highly recommend his services!

We had glow sticks, Flaming donuts, and a live guitarist but by far the thing that set off the wedding for the guests was the 360 photo booth. It was a great way to bring together the memories of our wedding and have all of our guests interact. Everyone got to keep a custom memory of the event and the following day he sent us over a link with all of the amazing photos that everyone had taken. Had it not been for this we would’ve missed so much because we were running around doing a million things. I can’t recommend his services enough!

Amazing DJ!!!!!

BEST DJ EVER! Minds were blown

Burton from Shut Down Productions absolutely mastered the entire vibe of our reception. He made our night possible from acting as mc during toasts to flawlessly coordinating the last-minute dance locations. When our friends got to the dance floor I think their minds were a little blown. When searching for a DJ we wanted to make sure we didn't hire the traditional wedding DJ that plays full 3-4 min versions of every song and basically presses play on their Spotify playlist. The mashups/setlist was exactly what we were looking for! We had a small wedding of 65 people (half young people, half older crowd) and I was worried people wouldn't be dancing. The dance floor was packed all night. He was able to read the room so well and tailor the music to who was on the dance floor. The next day at our brunch everyone was talking about how amazing the DJ was. We already have family members wondering how they can book Burton for their events in Texas!! If you're like me, you probably read through all of these reviews and are wondering if Shut Down Productions are too good to be true... I can tell you every review lives up to the hype. Do yourself a favor and go ahead and book them!!

Non stop party

Just wow! Absolutely blown away by DJ Burton J who was the undisputed MVP of our wedding. We game planned a few days before our wedding regarding the sound we were going for and DJ Burton J understood what we wanted and flawlessly executed. Hands down the absolute best!

I found DJ Burton from the reviews here and other websites so I knew I had to write a review for him. Hands down the ABSOLUTE BEST! I have eclectic music taste and didn't want typical wedding music...we had a couple of chats but I didn't give him a huge must play song list and HE KILLED IT! We spent most of the night on the dance floor and EVERYONE was talking about how great the music was (even the older crowd). I would recommend DJ Burton without hesitation and he really made my wedding extra special!! The reviews are right, do not keep looking and just book him!!

The Perfect DJ if You Want to Party!

Shut Down is the perfect name for this DJ because they truly shut it down! We worked with Burton, the owner of Shut Down Productions, for our 225 person cocktail-style wedding celebration. We got married with only our families earlier in the week and hosted a Miami Nights themed celebration on a Saturday night. Our goal was to host a party that was fun enough to justify having 100+ out-of-towners fly in for just one night, and we chose Shut Down Productions to DJ that party. WOW, did they deliver! Burton and his MC kept the energy high throughout the evening and did such a great job that I overheard several local guests approach them and ask for a business card so they could hire them in the future. The icing on the cake was the last song... The MC got everyone onto the dance floor expecting a slow, romantic song, and then our raunchy booty-shaking selection hit the speakers and the crowd went nuts! It was the absolute perfect ending to an awesome party.

Best day of our lives!

My husband and I were most nervous to hire our DJ because you really don't know how well you will match up until the day of the wedding. However DJ Memo and MC Dave went so far beyond our expectations. As soon as we heard them begin to announce our bridal party we could tell they were going to be amazing. Burton is amazing! He curated the perfect playlist based on the music we like and requested. He had our guest on their feet all night and the transition from song to song was perfect. Amazing wedding DJ!

Unforgettable Wedding Reception

It was a pleasure to work with Shut Down Productions for our wedding day. Months before the wedding, they reached out
to understand our vision for the big day. Closer to the wedding, DJ Omar called me and patiently went over every detail, including the playlist of our favorite songs and each music choice for our wedding party entrances, first/last dance, and cake cutting. On our wedding day, DJ Omar was energetic and well-prepared! Everything went smoothly and he made sure to incorporate all of our requests throughout our reception. He kept our guests on their feet literally all night from the beginning to end of the reception. Everyone had a blast! It’s been a few months since our wedding and we are still getting compliments on how amazing our DJ was! We also used Shut Down Productions for our photo booth. The photo booth attendant did a great job helping our guests take photos and videos. The photos turned out great and our guests loved them! Our wedding reception was truly unforgettable. We’ll still be talking about how much fun we had for many years to come.

They know how to party!

Where to even begin Burton and his team are absolutely incredible! They got the party started at our wedding and the party never stopped! I had so many people tell me they didn’t even like dancing and they never even left the dance floor! The photo booth was a blast. Dancing on clouds made me and my my husband feel like we were floating. All of it was amazing thanks to their team. ABSOLUTELY NEED TO HIRE THEM FOR ANY AND ALL EVENTS!!

Shutdown Productions is a Great Team to Work With

DJ Burton and Shutdown were professional about changing up the date of our wedding (twice) and put on an amazing show for our wedding guests. DJ Memo really read the vibes of the crowd well and got everyone out on the dance floor, having a great time. The team was very helpful and communicative throughout the planning process and it was a comforting feeling to know the DJ and entertainment was going to be smooth. Very Organized and Professional!

We booked Burton for our 4th of July wedding and he was so organiezed. He was very effecient and professional. Burton was our wedding DJ and killed it. From the beginning he was professional and easy to work with. He met me at our wedding venue almost a year before hand to go over his recommendations for uplights because we used 2 rooms for the reception. The lights really helped create a great visual setting.

Also before the wedding, he gives you a packet to fill out so that your wedding party is organized for intros and you can give him dos and don'ts for music. Our music taste spans all genres and he did an excellent job of mixing in all of our requests plus plugging in his own selections for a seamless playlist that kept everyone of all ages on the dance floor ALL night, which is exactly what we wanted. Burton only missed one request and as the lights were coming on my husband asked him to play the song and he happily did so. Everyone stayed on the dance floor with the lights on having a great time for an extra few minutes.

Besides the music and uplights, I highly recommend using their photoboth. It's sleek looking so it doesn't take up too much space and super easy to use. When our guests weren't on the dance floor they were having a great time taking silly photos.

Many of my guests said it was 'the best wedding ever' and I give alot of that credit to Shutdown Productions!

Amazing Music!

Burton helped with the sound for our outdoor ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. There were incredible music choices and everyone was on the dance for the entire reception. We are still getting compliments on our wedding and music!! Best night of wedding dancing I've experienced!

Shut it down!

I see why they call them Shutdown productions!

My wife and I found them on The Knot app and immediately recognized one of the DJ’s from a YouTube channel music playlist we love to listen to. (At this point we were already sold! Lol) The “seal the deal” came right after we read the Shutdown production reviews; We then immediately booked them.

We got paired with DJ BJ (Burton) and he was the perfect fit for our wedding. We filled out their questionnaire and closer to the wedding date, DJ Burton gave us a call. He was more than excited and kept reassuring us that he will read the room and keep the dance floor packed.

There was no let down there, he did that plus more! We had many different ethnicities at our wedding and Shutdown productions catered to them all.

The dance floor was packed and DJ Burton made it all worth it. People are still talking about how great the music and vibe was. Thank you again Shutdown Productions.

Amazing wedding dj!

We hired Shut Down Productions for our wedding and they did just that... SHUT IT DOWN! They did an amazing job!!!! The music was just exactly how we pictured it would be, they followed everything specifically that we wrote down for them (they have a very detailed questionnaire that helped us and them catch our vibe) and they kept the party going all night long! They even have the option of hiring a drummer that plays along with the DJ, which of course we did and it was the coolest thing ever!!! Our guests LOVED IT! We would highly recommend Shut Down Productions for your wedding or any party!!! Thank you Burton for being a very important part of the best day of our lives!!!

Shut Down Productions was amazing, and I'd 100% recommend them for a wedding. Here are the highlights from their work at our wedding:

- High quality sound at the ceremony
- Good background music during dinner
- Friendly and professional throughout, especially when dealing with logistics, timing of speeches, etc. A wedding day can be stressful, so it's important to have vendors who are on top of it all and make you feel taken care of as a client.
- Handled last minute, weather-related changes to our setup without a hitch.

Party never stopped!

Burton was absolutely amazing! So easy to work with and he did a wonderful job as our DJ! He played the best music and played almost every song we requested in the time period we had. Manny brought the party to our wedding!

One of my biggest concerns while planning was that I wanted to make sure that at no point did the event fall flat, or people were not having a good time. He we super quick on communication, he was patient when I changed details or added more services last minute, he was extremely timely on getting to the venue in time to set up, and finally he was amazing at keeping all our songs organized and playing them at the right moments (we had a lot). Easy process, great service, super fun guy!

Danced the Night Away

Burton did an absolutely amazing job. He was great with communication and literally listened to everything I requested. I had some concerns that our wedding might not have much dancing (our friends and family aren't huge dancers). Burton was able to read the crowd and we had people dancing from the second the dance floor opened up. We also had him do the CO2 gun which was an awesome addition and really made the floor come alive when we were all out there dancing. So so grateful for their hard work to help make our dream a reality.

Best DJ Ever!

DJ Immanuel (Manny) Smart (AKA DJ Chocolate Rain) was basically the highlight of my reception. All night long, people kept coming up to me to let me know how incredible the DJ was. I still receive compliments about Manny and what an amazing job he did anytime I talk about my wedding with friends. Manny knew how to keep the crowd hyped all night long. During lulls in the night, Manny would come out from behind the DJ booth and get the whole crowd involved in a song or a group dance. Crowd involvement is definitely his expertise. He also knew how to read the room to play the best songs. Early in the night, all the family and older guests were present and Manny played appropriate music and easy, fun crowd pleasing songs. As the night got later and more rowdy, Manny played songs that were younger, maybe not so "appropriate", but fun to keep the crowd dancing until the last minute of the night. Manny and Shutdown Productions also provided music and equipment for my ceremony and uplighting for the venue. Shutdown Productions has a ton of equipment rentals to chose from to personalize your whole night. I would highly recommend this company.

Non stop dancing!

If we could give shut down productions 10/ 5 stars we would! Burton and his partner were AMAZING! I wouldn’t say we are extremely traditional but needed those “traditional” events for the reception like first dance and parent dances. I made it clear that we wanted to get those out of the way so that we could start the party and they did just that! The music was on point all night- my guests said they couldn’t even go to the bathroom because they didn’t want to miss a song! A special touch that Shut Down did was make an amazing Instagram story of our wedding and reception! I watch it all of the time- it brings me right back to that day. Thank you so much Burton and co for making our wedding everything we wanted and so much more! Book them you will not be disappointed!

Worth Every Penny!

We had a GREAT experience working with ShutDown Productions! We had a smaller wedding (15 people) and really underestimated how impactful having the right company there to keep the party moving. They created the perfect atmosphere.

We had the pleasure of having DJ Burton (DJ BJ Live) and DJ Guillermo (DJ Memo) host our wedding. Prior to the wedding, they had us complete paperwork that asked us the music we preferred to have played at various points in the wedding. They came through at every part and did not miss a request. We were able to request both genres of kusic and specific songs. Theycalso did a great job of reading the room and adjusting the music choice based on the guest's interests.

They came to the venue with enough time to set up and create the perfect atmosphere for the guest before the wedding began.

Thankfully, they offered the Dance on a Cloud option, which made for some BEAUTIFUL pictures. A MUST if you ask us.

They even went above and beyond the job by recording some videos from the wedding and posting them on Instagram.

All in all, they really took our wedding to the next level and we HIGHLY recommend them.

Dancing All Night Long! August 7th 2020 Wedding

Manny and his team were the life of the party! The only thing we wish we could have changed about our wedding was to add more dancing time - we ALL had so much fun. Our dance floor was the place to be for the duration of the night. Manny was so wonderful at reading the crowd and was very involved with a wonderful energy. We loved him so much my sister will be using his services at her wedding. We also hired our videographer through Manny. Our video was so fantastic that not a week goes by we don’t take time to watch it. The song choices and timing are perfect. We absolutely love it. As one of our friends stated, “It was like watching a Disney movie trailer.” I personally never planned on having a videographer and I am so glad I did. It is one of our favorite things from our wedding. The team captured many important moments and emotions that I wasn’t able to see as the bride. The wedding day flies by so fast it really allows you to take it all in and relive those amazing memories. A huge thank you to his team for their spectacular work!

Fantastic Wedding DJ

We used Shut Down Productions for our daughter’s wedding reception on November 2, 2019 in Orlando at Quantum Leap Winery. What an amazing choice that was!! We had Immanuel Smart and he was fantastic! He was punctual, very professional and he kept our reception rocking the whole entire evening! Our guests had the best time and said that it was the “best wedding reception ever”! My daughter and her husband even received a nice surprise a couple weeks after. Immanuel had a videographer take some footage during the reception and it was so unexpected and such a wonderful extra to have! We would highly recommend Shut Down Productions and Immanuel Smart. Music Was On Point

Shut Down Productions did a fantastic job Djing our wedding. They provided a sound system for the ceremony and played music during dinner & dancing. Having DJ'd weddings in the past I can be someone critical of what they do. I was extremely happy with their performance. He did an awesome job feeling out the crowd and playing more of the genre that had the most people dancing. The dance floor was packed all night. I found them to be extremely competitive with pricing compared to others in the area.

Wedding 10/19/19

DJ Immanuel was the DJ for my wedding on October 19 and he shut our wedding down (in a good way)!! DJ Immanuel read the crowd well and knew which songs to play next. He kept the party rocking until the last possible moment. He is very flexible as well. My husband and I were planning to do the Newlywed Game but changed our minds last minute and DJ Immanuel kept everything running smoothly. Best wedding ever!

We did our planning with Burton, he made the process so easy with his wedding worksheets. Then Immanuel was our DJ the day of the wedding. He was better than we could have ever imagined. Us and our guests cannot stop talking about how great the wedding was and our DJ Immanuel. We had a little bit of a complicated set up but Manny executed flawlessly. All of the music was on point, we had a tough mix of older adults and our 20 something year old friends, and Manny had everyone out there dancing and having a great time. Wedding 6/9/19

I recently got married at a beautiful, rustic outdoor/indoor wedding venue in Orlando! We signed on with Shutdown Productions for our DJ, and I think that was one of the best things we could’ve done! We did our initial consultation with Burton on FaceTime due to distance and scheduling. He was awesome and passionate and I knew I wanted to go with his company right away. For our actual wedding day we had Omar, DJ OG, he was so nice and was very understanding to the uncertainty of his placement of setup because of rain.

We ended up having to move the ceremony inside and Omar did an awesome job of music and providing us with mics to be heard.

The reception was also great! Everyone keeps telling me how lit (lol) and how much fun they had! We had no wedding coordinator and Omar was super nice in trying to help keep the pace with us and do some announcements that made it easier. I would definitely recommend Burton and his crew!

The Perfect DJ!

I can't thank Burton enough for DJ'ing my wedding. My wife put me in charge of the one thing that will make the wedding memorable, the DJ, so there was ALOT of pressure to find the perfect DJ. Him and Shut Down Productions was all my family could talk about after the wedding. Burton was 100% professional in every way. He was incredibly responsive, flexible, organized, and most of all a master of his craft. Burton was able to meet the VERY HIGH DEMANDS of my Caribbean/African-American family and guests, and kept us all dancing for the entire night. The music was so good that our guests were honestly sad to see such a fun night come to a close because Burton was keeping the party rocking from his slow island grooves for the older guests, to the line dances that everyone knows (Cha Cha slide, wobble, ect.), all the way to the throwback and modern hip-hop that is all the rage today! What was even better was that he provided the perfect uplighting to illuminate the room, and it made our venue look even more gorgeous and fun than it already was. It made our pictures look BOMB!!! Lastly, just when I couldn't be satisfied enough, a month later Burton sent me a 1 minute montage that captured the festivities of the evening, and this video was PERFECT! Every shot, angle, effect was on point and it was the perfect way to describe how LIT Burton made our wedding. I came into the DJ search with very high expectations that I believe many DJ's would not be able to meet, and I can say without a shadow of a doubt Burton surpassed those expectations and more. If you want to dance and have fun at your wedding and make it a night that no one will ever forget, HIRE BURTON! Phenomenal!

Our DJ, Burton was so amazing. From the first time we contacted Shutdown Productions we got such prompt responses. Burton was extremely helpful with suggesting songs and creating a playlist. Everyone at our wedding was raving about how great the music was! He was great at keeping the party alive and keeping everyone on the dance floor. Our wedding was full of guests from around the world and Burton kept everyone engaged and excited. We are so happy that we found Shutdown Productions to be a part of our wedding!

Awesome! We loved Shut Down Productions.

Shut Down Productions was great. They are on top of everything and very organized, any questions we had - they answered. Our DJ, Burton, was awesome. He had our guests dancing the entire night! No complaints, I highly recommend going with Shut Down. They are definitely a company to choose for your wedding, or other events. A++

Melting Pot dance floor

We Hired Shutdown Productions for our wedding, Burton was our DJ/MC. We loved the fact that we had the option of picking songs played on the dance floor. We had a lot of control over the playlists and our DJ know how please a crowd. Burton is very organized, we were very happy that we chose Shutdown Productions for our wedding. Our wedding had at least 4 different ethnic groups, and Burton managed to please every body. I can't stress enough how organized Burton was. Our guests had fun, they still talking about it. We would hire Shutdown Productions again for future event without a doubt. Thank you so very much.

If you want a fun party, hire this team!

When I first spoke to Burton, I made it clear that as a gay couple, we were very focused on throwing out tradition. What was most important to us was to bring our friends and families together for a celebration that none of us would forget. He clearly understood that and matched us with an incredible talent in DJ Chocolate Rain. He threw an insanely fun party and kept the energy up the entire time! So many of our friends and family told us in the days after that it was one of the most fun times they've ever had a wedding, largely thanks to the Shut Down Productions team! If you're looking for professionalism, excitement and a team who knows how to throw a party, hire Shut Down Productions!

Shutdown Productions Shut It Down!

Burton and Shutdown Productions were absolutely the best! From the beginning, Burton was very responsive and wanted to make sure our wedding went off without any issues. The detailed questionnaire he provided was so helpful and made the night go exactly as planned. Our DJ literally had everyone on the dance floor until well after the time we were supposed to pack up and leave. We had numerous guests tell us that it was the best wedding party they've ever been to and told us how awesome the DJ was. The best dj ever

From the beginning when booking Dj Bj Live to the very end of our wedding night shut down productions made everything so easy. We received so many compliments from our guests, of all ages, about how amazing the music/dance floor was (which I credit all to our dj). I had so many questions during my planning process and he got back to me right away, even if my questions weren't dj related he still was there to help me out. He really came through for us when we had to use our backup plan due to weather. He had no problem adding extra lighting on the spot which helped calm me down when the rain ruined my plans. We really could not have asked for better services and know our night would not have been the same if it was not for him.

Exceeds All Expectations!

We can't describe how thankful we are to have had Immanuel at Shut Down Productions DJ our wedding! From the moment the ceremony started, he exceeded our expectations. Throughout the whole reception, he had our dance floor jam packed. Most DJs will stay behind their DJ booth and work from there (which is fine!) but Immanuel was extremely interactive with our party and on the dance floor, exciting the mood even more. I would recommend Immanuel and shut down productions over and over again and we're so thankful we made the great decision to review them!!

Wedding Dj

Manny was so fun at our wedding. He payed attention to all the audience ques, and taught my guests the wobble! Because it wasn’t going too well 😂 Manny worked well with the rest of the vendors to ensure that everything was running smoothly throughout the whole wedding. Immanuel aka DJ Chocolate Rain is one of the best if not the best DJ I've ever experienced. He knows how to make your wedding night an eventful one! Handles all of the logistics and song recommendations without a hassle. If you're looking for an awesome DJ, look no further. He's your man.

Best Day of My Life!!

I’m not really sure where I should begin!? But let me start by saying, my wedding was absolutely perfect! DJ Bj of Shut Down Productions really listened to what we wanted in our music selection, and he was great at reading the room and playing music that catered to every guest, young and old! We had a relatively small wedding of 100 people and the dance floor was packed the entire night! All of are guest are still raving about how much fun they had and how they loved the music! I highly recommend DJ BJ and I guarantee you will not be disappointed!

A Must Have DJ

DJ BJ was very professional from start to finish. He asked specific questions to meet our needs prior to the event and we were able to ask questions and give our music selections daily leading up to the day of the event. Our wedding reception was absolutely fabulous. What he and his company has to offer is amazing. The lighting he provided made the ambience of the room elegant and romantic but yet party ready. The slide show provided during the reception was perfect to catch our journey together. The MUSIC was on point ALL night long and he made sure to capture interest of all ethnic backgrounds at the reception. A couple weeks after, we received a video of highlights of our reception and my husband and I watched it a million times. The video was jaw dropping especially how the movement of the guests in the video correlated to the background music of the video. Pure Talent! Thank you so much for making our reception a memorable one. DJ BJ is amazing and I would recommend him to anyone!

Great Experience

I conducted a great deal of research because this was one of the most important vendors to my husband and I. We wanted a fun dance party that reflected our style of music. We wanted someone who was professional and could expound upon the song list we provided. Burton delivered and then some! We also purchased uplighting from him and those were beautiful and matched our wedding colors perfectly. He kept the party going all night. There was always someone on the dance floor and the sound quality was great. Most importantly, Burton had a few great suggestions as well. And importantly, he was super easy to deal with. I highly recommend his services.

“Best wedding I’ve been to in 10 years!” “The Dj is amazing!” I wanted everyone to have fun and Burton made it happen. He got everyone on the dance floor!! Wedding Day!

My husband and I first met Burton of Shut Down Productions at a Wedding Expo in Orlando Florida a couple of years ago. He was very nice and knowledgeable. They offered many things we were interested in besides just being a DJ ,like up-lighting, slide show, animated monogram and more. After the show we started following Shut Down Productions on social media and he had videos that showed him actually working real weddings. After watching one of those videos my husband and I were sold. We were engaged 3 years so when we finally booked our venue we knew we had to have Shut Down Productions for our wedding. We are so happy that we chose Shut Down Productions. Burton was very organized throughout the entire process. He called us to go over our timeline ensuring our wedding day would go smooth as possible. Burton kept my guest dancing all night. Shut Down Productions is more than just a DJ service, I was able to use them for other services instead of juggling more vendors

Best DJ Ever!

Working with Burton was literally seamless! He made choosing all the songs so easy, he was always really easy to get in contact with, and was always super professional! On my wedding day, he was so much fun and all I could do was laugh and dance all night long thanks to him! He played all my family's favorite songs and made all our first dances super special. Awesome time!

I loved every aspect of our wedding, but THE MUSIC MADE IT! The perfect music and volume for the ceremony; PERFECT for the cocktail hour, and EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED at the reception! We danced our feet off, and the memories are magical. Thanks to this wonderful vendor!!!

Shut Down Production is awesome

In my opinion, a DJ will either make or break a wedding reception, and Shut Down Productions MADE my reception. I had multiple compliments from my guest, and Burton kept the dance floor full the entire night. I felt that I left a lot of decisions up to the DJ as to what they thought would be best, and I could not have been happier with the outcome. I highly recommend Burton from Shut Down Production!

Burt is amazing. We booked him for our wedding. He definitely understood the crowd and played music accordingly. His pre-wedding planning packet was very detailed. He thought of everything. He is a traveling DJ! He drove almost 3 hours for our event! Amazing service and professionalism!

If you're trying to find a DJ to ensure your wedding is an absolute hit, look no further! The Shut Down team is beyond exceptional in their process from start to finish. DJ Manny was INCREDIBLE! He did an awesome job keeping our event running smoothly and once he opened the dance floor it was, without exaggeration, NEVER EMPTY!! Our guests have still not stopped complimenting how great the music was and how impressed they were with Manny throughout the entire night. So many people keep telling us it was the best wedding & party they've ever attended, and I know Shut Down had so much to do with that! This was hands down the best DJ work I've ever witnessed, and I've recently attended a handful of weddings aside from my own. My cousin is getting married in April and they were so impressed by Manny and Shut Down that they're booking him for their wedding too! THE BEST! 5 stars because 10 is not an option! Not just a vendor, but a friend to us all - BJ made sure everyone was comfortable and had a great time. We cannot be happier with our choice to go with Shut Down Productions. Immanuel was very professional when it came to helping us pick out the perfect songs to go along with the events of the night. He did music for the ceremony, cocktail hour, as well as the reception. Immanuel was amazing at judging the audience and got everyone up and moving. He was very active and was on the dancefloor with us all night. I am still hearing about how much fun everyone had because of Immanuel from Shut Down Productions. I would recommend them to anyone who is in search of a DJ for their event!

We had Burton for our wedding reception, and he was excellent and friendly. We got quite a few comments on how awesome our DJ was. I especially loved the song selection he had during our meal time (we requested songs in the style of The Piano Guys). He really read the crowd well and played songs that had so many of our guests out on the dance floor. Everyone seemed to have such a fun time!! The slideshow he made for our first dance was very well-done. The only thing was that he forgot to announce our MOH and Best Man into the reception ballroom - but otherwise, everything else was great. :)

Burton and team did an awesome job at our wedding! The music choices were on point and the option to add the drummer along side the DJ was totally worth it. We had Omar as our DJ/MC and he made sure the guests were in the mood to get down. He was able to read the dance floor with lots of age groups. They have a great pre questionaire that lets them know what you are looking for. Could not have asked for a better dance party at our wedding! Thanks to Omar!

The company is not called Shut Down Productions for nothing! They definitely shut it down at our wedding! Burton and his team were awesome! The initial consultation was very professional. He handed us a packet to be organized. We wrote down the names of our bridal party, songs we did not want to be played, songs during cake cutting, first dance etc. My husband and I really liked the organization. He did a great job at both ceremony and reception! He made sure to read the crowd and play the right songs. We picked out the “love” dj booth for our wedding and it was the perfect touch! I would definitely use again for any future parties or celebrations!
