Proposal shoot!

Beautiful Family Photos - flexible scheduling
Sheryl was amazing. She has a tight schedule packed but is able to be flexible when you need it. I had a schedule conflict for our first shoot we booked and she happily moved it to another date. It was a different location but I’m so incredibly happy we moved it. The photos turned out beautiful. She is so good at telling everyone, including the kiddos, how to pose and place their hands where it looks natural but beautiful. We walked up to the end of the shoot before us so I got to watch her in action with a young toddler. She comes ready with goldfish and tricks to get the photos just right.

Professional Hard Working Efficient Communication
Sheryl was very professional throughout the experience from the very beginning sending out her contract to the day of the wedding making sure she got all of the shots she needed in our short 4 hour wedding. We appreciated her strict approach.
She delivered more previews than I expected -A LOT - I’m pretty sure within 24 hours of the wedding - which was fantastic because it’s not really fun having to show iPhone photos to people asking about the wedding so I really appreciated those previews.
I think considering the lighting and timing constraints, Sheryl got us a plethora of beautiful photos and we are very grateful.

Not only did Sheryl gives us a HUGE amount of photos for both our engagement and wedding day, but the photos turned out amazing ! Professional, Fun, Affordable: Sheryl is the BEST
We absolutely LOVED working with Sheryl. She is incredibly professional: responsive in communications, flexible, and intuitive. We didn't know exactly where we wanted to do our engagement shoot, and Sheryl was happy to give us some recommendations. Once we were at the location, she was expertly able to scope out prime locations and capture the light in a way that looked beautiful on film.
Not only did she take gorgeous photos, she was also a true delight to work with. If you have never taken professional photos (like my fiance and me), it can be a bit daunting/awkward. However, Sheryl's warm and spunky personality immediately makes those fears dissipate. She kept us laughing throughout the photo shoot, and really made us feel feel at ease.
After the shoot, Sheryl VERY quickly turned around the edited photos for our review, and we could not be happier. Several were chosen for our "Save the Date" invites, and we have gotten many compliments. With a beautiful eye for detail and an amazing personality to go with it, look no further than Sheryl. Amazing Photographer
Sheryl takes amazing photos as you can clearly see. She makes you feel so comfortable and she is able to catch the most beautiful candid photos. Right from the first time I met her she seemed so familiar and we were instantly comfortable. She did my wedding photos and my sons second birthday photos! I would recommend Sheryl bc she truly portrays a story in her photos she takes. Nothing about her photos are generic and posed, they are all unique. Both my husband and son don’t like taking photos but she effortlessly caught such amazing photos of the both of them :) The icing on the cake is she gives you an almost instant preview and gives you the photos within days or weeks at most! You don’t have to wait months like some photographers which is such a plus especially when your like me and cannot wait!

Sheryl was amazing to work with for our photos. Full of energy and excitement, Sheryl captured our event amazingly well.
One of the things that I loved about Sheryl was how she took what we wanted and quickly came up with a vision, which made it so she could keep the photos flowing without much standing around. I've seen photographers that hesitate in setting up shots, and people get really frustrated as they are standing in suits in the sun.

Sheryl took beautiful Christmas photos of my family. Her response time was very fast, we got a few sneak peaks just hour after finishing with her. And the rest of our photos two days after. She did a great job with my 1 1/2 year old, and did a wonderful job directing everyone else. She was so funny and made all of us feel very comfortable. I cannot day enough good things about our experience with her!

Fun family photo day!

What do we do with our hands?
I can’t even begin to explain how lucky we were to have Sheryl along with us on our wedding journey. My husband and I have never been the type of couple that took “cute” photos together. One of us is either making a face or glaring at the other. The first time we had taken professional photos together was right before we got engaged. It was the most awkward experience ever. We needed so much direction and were the type of people that ask, “What do we do with our hands?”
Once we started the planning process, we knew we needed to find someone that could work with the awkwardness and find a way to bring out the couple that could take good photos. Sheryl was recommended to us by a co-worker. We chose a package that included both engagement and wedding photos.
The advantage of doing both with the same photographer is that you’re able to develop a relationship and really get to know each other. Sheryl is able to see how you are as a couple and really uses that insight to take the best possible photos of you.
We did our engagement photos with Sheryl in San Francisco at the Palace of the Fine Arts and Sutro Baths. I to this day cannot believe that the couple in those photos are us. She made us feel so comfortable that we totally forgot what we were doing and why we were there.
The wedding day experience with Sheryl was the best we could have asked for. Not only did she bring this incredible energy that helped calm our nerves, but she was literally the only reason I was able to successfully get into my wedding dress. She doubled as the most amazing photographer on the planet and my fairy godmother. We just got our photos back and they are better than I could have imagined. She was really able to capture the magic of the day.
Working with Sheryl is so incredibly easy. She is full of life and her positive energy is infectious. She gives great direction and knows when to crack jokes at the most opportune time to get that candid laugh shot. If she can bring out the best in this awkward couple, she can do the same for you!

Accommodating and Great with Kida
We were traveling to Southern California for vacation and wanted to have family photos taken. Sheryl was recommended by a wedding planner I know in the area. She worked with me on the location and was great at communicating. The day of the shoot, my two year old’s patience ran out fast. Sheryl did a great job working with my daughters and changed up the poses to keep it fun for the kids. She caught some precious candid moments of my girls in the water. Best Wedding Photographer Ever!
For months a searched for a perfect photographer for my big day and ended up getting handed a business card for Sheryl Bale Photography from my florist. I looked her up on Instagram and saw all the amazing wedding photos she had taken and I was in love. I had to contact her and when I did we met for a nice brunch and got to know each other. The photo package I selected from her menu included an engagement photoshoot, having more time with her before the wedding was very nice! We got to know more about each other and create a relationship that made us all comfortable with each other. When it came to the wedding day, Sheryl and her assisting photographer, Ashley, got to my venue, The Mission Inn Hotel in Riverside, CA, early and got checked in to get their vendor pass and were to my preparation room very quickly. She captured great photos with my mother and I while getting ready. She also helped calm me down after some stressors came up and made sure I was ready to go for the ceremony. Sheryl was very organized when it came to taking family and wedding party photos and cared about us all looking our best in the photo she was taking. She helped us recreate a photo from my husband's parents wedding in the same spot it was taking in 22 years prior.( Photo included in the rotunda staircase) She was on top of the schedule we put in place for certain photos and helped make sure our wedding day went as smoothly as it could. She did a beautiful job on the photos of our engagement and wedding but above all she is so kind and caring. I wouldn't have wanted anyone else help capture this day for me and I appreciate all she did for me. Highly recommend and will tell everyone I know planning a wedding, engagement, or family photoshoot to contact her first!

My mother in law found Sheryl on Wedding Wire and passed her information over to us. Sheryl was very professional and really helped us with figuring out our own wedding. We didn't have a wedding planner, but she gave us great suggestions and advice before the wedding that REALLY helped us out. She is very professional and has a good eye for composition and lighting. We initially chose a different photographer, but Sheryl took over as the lead photographer, and she did an amazing job! We briefly discussed what we wanted over the phone, I sent her our full timeline barely a couple of days before the wedding, and I also texted her some photos of what I liked. Even though what I provided Sheryl with was so little, she was able to work with us on the fly and the pictures came out incredible. My family was a handful when it came to the group photos, and Sheryl did a really good job in helping coral them. Sheryl also helped us with sticking to our timeline (it’s crazy how time flies at your wedding). I’m so glad we had Sheryl for our photos, and I highly recommend her!!! The photos attached speak for themselves.

Great work, easy process, very cool person
When you're getting married, it can be overwhelming to know who to choose. I am SO glad we chose Sheryl. Sheryl was a perfect combination of cool/personable but professional. Working with her I understood her terms very clearly and felt super comfortable. She keeps a pretty good line of communication going that felt more like dealing with a buddy than a business, so I felt relaxed with her. I found her because another friend of mine used her. I had asked a bunch of friends on Instagram to send me their photographers, and when I looked at Sheryl's work on my friend's wedding I really liked her work AND her website was easy to follow (not a bunch of obscure "call for pricing" type of deals). At the wedding, Sheryl was kind but assertive with our large (loud) group, which was helpful when you feel overwhelmed. AND the best part is she sticks to her timelines. I got my engagement photos within 2 weeks and our wedding photos within the 4-6 week timeframe - I have friends who fret about still not getting their photos MONTHS after their weddings. I hope to work with her again because she really makes this overwhelming process super easy.

We hired Sheryl for our wedding photos. From day 1 she was so professional and on top of everything. Any questions I had she did not hesitate to answer. She also did our engagement photos and helped with picking outfits for us to go with our location of our photos. She was able to send us previews of our photos within 12 hours!!! I was so impressed. Sherly Bale is an amazing photographer and has such an amazing personality. She handles your event with great professionalism and goes above an beyond for you. She gives you more then what you pay for because she goes that extra mile to make you and your wedding. There’s not a lot businesses that are LGBTQ friendly so to all my same sex couples I would hire her for your wedding. I will always be thankful for her because my wedding pictures came out fantastic and my wedding video as well.

I cannot day enough about Sheryl and her amazing work photographing our big day! We were married in the Mural Room at the courthouse in Santa Barbara followed by a reception in the funk zone art/wine area. I was blown away by how personal and helpful Sheryl was at organizing the timeline for photos.
Sheryl had recently photographed my sister in law's wedding in Mexico and it was only fitting that she was our photographer too! You will not find another photographer at this price point for the quality of work (believe me I looked).
Sheryl made sure that our first look was special and captured every emotion we felt that day Her assistant Garrison was awesome too and made my husband feel very comfortable with all the pictures which is hard to do.. Sheryl worked her magic and found every breathtaking and beautiful place to take pictures at the courthouse After the courthouse we went and took pictures in the funk zone with all the murals and wineries Our pictures are amazing We are continuously receiving compliments us on how original and unique our pictures are. I cannot wait to have them printed and hung in our home to admire day after day

Sheryl and her team are so amazing! I've been working with her for a little over a year, and our wedding was on 4/12. Her follow ups were consistent and thorough, her work is STUNNING and she was always on time and reliable. Plus, you can't beat her prices! I will be using Sheryl for all my photography needs from now on, and would 1000% recommend her to anyone looking for a quality wedding photographer

Sheryl is amazing and wonderful to work with! My husband and I were 100% satisfied with the photographs and service provided by Sheryl and her team. Both the engagement and wedding photos were amazing! Numerous friends and family members have commented on how great the photos came out. On the day of our wedding, she was a true professional and went above and beyond. She very easy going, makes you feel comfortable and provides guidance. The end product exceeded our expectations. The day after the wedding she made a a handful of pictures accessible to us and were able to share them right away with our family and friends. I recommended Sheryl Bale and her services to anyone seeking an amazing photographer! She was by far our favorite vendor to work with.

Sheryl was so amazing to work with!! She was so much fun! From our first meeting we knew we wanted to have her as our photographer! She’s so personable and will even give recommendations for other vendors if you need help with it. Her assertiveness and efficiency made taking photos with the family go so smooth and painless. Her and her assistant were so great and sweet! Also, she gave us preview pictures a few days after the wedding! She’s fast! I definitely would recommend her to anyone needing a photographer! She’s awesome!

I am not that comfortable in front of the camera, but Sheryl was great at giving direction and helping us feel like ourselves. Our engagement shoot was more beautiful than we ever thought it would be! The wedding day was perfect. Sheryl and her assistant captured the day beautifully. I would recommend her to anyone!

Sheryl was our wedding photographer and we just could not be happier! She was so attentive and easygoing, and she made the whole experience so much fun for all of us. Her eye for detail and her quick professionalism allowed her to give us some absolutely beautiful photos, and we can't wait to see the entire set she will be sending us! She was responsive, her prices were competitive, and she made sure she got all the specific photos that we were looking for. The day after our wedding, she sent us some previews and we were absolutely blown away by the quality, professional look, and artistic beauty of all of them. Let's start by saying that I hate having my picture taken, and my now husband is not much better. So, Sheryl had her work cut out for her at our wedding – and she was amazing! Not only are the preview photos excellent, but she was so kind throughout the whole process. She was open to suggestions, knew the venue, and offered her expertise. Sheryl also checked in regularly with us to make sure she knew our schedule and to make sure we didn't have any questions. She made us comfortable (as did her assistant), and it shows in the wedding pictures. We also loved that she had a whole range of packages that allowed her to work within our budget. We would definitely recommend her for any formal photos you need taken – weddings, engagements, anniversaries, etc.

Our teaser photos are amazing and we can't wait to see more! Sheryl was an absolute dream to work with! I do not consider myself photogenic and hate being center of attention but she made me feel comfortable and was so much fun!!! We hired her to do our wedding a few weeks ago, first off, communication was great, she'd make contact once in a while to ask about the planning, she researched the venue before hand so she was prepared the day of the wedding, she even created my timeline for me...! She was assertive which I like, especially when there's a lot of opinions flying around, but she was also flexible. It was important for us to get pictures with all lf our family since most came in from out of town, and luckily we were able to do that. Her pictures are incredible, she sent a preview the very next day and I was amazed at! We really can't wait to see the rest! Thank you Sheryl and team!

Beautiful wedding photographs from a talented photographer! Sheryl is communicative throughout the entire process - from initial contact, agreement, even letting me know when she was on her way to the venue. We received the previews within a few hours and all the photos within a few days. She is incredibly easy to work with and just a really good person.
