    What a great place. It was beautiful. The staff were very helpful and wonderful at their jobs. Our wedding day was perfect.

    We booked the Sheraton Denver West for our reception 2 weeks before the wedding. Unfortunately, our original venue wasn't complete in time. I don't regret anything though. The team at the Sheraton was very professional, responsive and flexible. They understood the stress we were feeling from having to re-plan the reception in such a short amount of time and they made everything as easy as they could. I am very happy with the results. The cocktail hour was set up perfectly, so was the reception room. Even though we were running late, our guests didn't notice anything because the Sheraton handled everything so well. When my husband and I arrived Debbie Mallick (the person who organized everything) met us and let us know that she was there for anything we needed. She even asked what we would like to drink and had our drinks on our table when we walked in. Everything for the night, from the cocktail hour, to announcement to first dance and dinner service ran smoothly. I appreciate that Debbie, and the Sheraton were able to pull together such a beautiful reception for us with very, very short notice. It looked and ran as if we had worked with them for months.

    The Sheraton Denver West Federal Center was very responsive and great to work with! They helped with any questions and needs as we were planning the wedding and staff was really friendly.
    The restaurant bar was perfect for hosting a meet and greet the night before the wedding for out of town guests. We had about 40 people show up and was wonderful as we had the bar basically to ourselves!
    The restaurant also did a great breakfast buffet for the day after the wedding that we all enjoyed. Very delicious and made it really easy for people to meet up.
    The one complaint we had was their air conditioning. We had many people in our 70-people party have air conditioner issues in the middle of the summer. They did what they could to move people around to different rooms but many still suffered issues in 2nd rooms. Really need to fix the air conditioner issues and then will be great!
    Overall, I would recommend this for wedding needs if it is near this hotel.

    We booked our wedding about a year out, in the time we were looking the wedding coordinator changed for the worse. So many things went wrong or were not done, here is a list of the highlights:

    1. We never got a correct BEO, the planner emailed the first draft 3 months after our tasting and before the event I still did not have a correct one.

    2. Emails were not responded to, contracts not changed to reflect what she said in emails. (The biggest issue was the price of chicken dinner in BEO which was never fixed to reflect what the planner stated in an email)

    3. Guests being served before the head table. Half the room was served before we brought our DOC attention to it (she thought the head table already ate their salads) and was able to fix it. By the time the head table ate our salads, all guests were done (they were to be served salads as we got our entrees so we could eat and visit with guests as soon as they were done eating).

    4. Was told by my DOC the staff were talking rudely about my guest in my reception hall. She also had to get them out of the back and interrupt their eating my food so they would do their job.

    5. Then, when they were to serve the cake they were to ask which flavor-instead they just handed out cake, which was not what they were supposed to do. We had people with nut allergies given carrot cake!

    6. Of course the bride and groom were busy so we asked for cake to be put aside so we could eat some later...supposedly they did so but by the end of the reception no one could find it so we never got to taste our wedding cake.

    7. The planner left before the cake was being served-or so we were told as she never said anything to us.

    8. After speaking with guests after the wedding, I had numerous complaints that the servers were :
    - rude
    - cleared plates before people were done
    - cleared paid for drinks before they were empty
    -seemed to just want it over (and made the guests feel that way too).

    9. The bar was closed when it was to stay open until 2am per the contract.

    10. Bar staff over served one individual who later caused a problem in the downstairs lobby bar. Now they state they did not serve him-since I saw him get drinks at the bar I know that's not true.

    11. When discussing these issues with the GM(?) he called my husband a liar and said our DOC agreed with him (which was not true as I spoke with her after her discussion with the GM).

    I want to forget everything to do with the Denver West Sheraton...

    Only good thing was the room....and Kristine who handled the room block. She was the professional staff I dealt with at the Denver Sheraton West.
