Chris called to ensure everything was in place just how we wanted it for the wedding. He made sure the ceremony songs were the versions we wanted. If we ever had any questions or wanted to make any changes, he was extremely flexible and willing to make sure our day was exactly what we wanted it to be. Wonderful DJ Experience!

Madison was so professional and helpful throughout the entire process. In the midst of the wedding planning, she was a breath of fresh air! She made sure to have everything ready and going so we didn’t have to stress one bit about the music. She played music that appealed to everyone there and she set did a great job playing what would get people out on the dance floor! She was amazing in every aspect! Definitely recommend!!

Shepherd DJ was the calm to our chaos!

Shepherd DJ was all around great!! Definitely affordable! You get what you pay for and then some! The communication was top notch! He knew the vibe without even being told! When we changed things up during the wedding he changed with it flawlessly! The sound was great for the music and speech’s everything was so clear and perfect volume! So happy we went with Shepherd DJ and definitely will again in the future!

Miranda is amazing!

I contacted DJ Shepherd only about 3 months before my wedding, and though he was unavailable, he suggested one of his employees/family friend, Miranda Langston, to be our DJ! To make a long story short- she was absolutely incredible. I couldn’t have asked for a better DJ- she is loyal, caring, kind, and 100% commited her her job. She will always hold a soecial place in my heart for making our ceremony so special. I would recommend DJ Shepherd and Miranda 10 out of 10 times. Some of the sweetest people out there and extremely hard workers!❤️

Chris came in clutch for us at the last minute!

One of our employees got just got married and at the last minute we realized that she wasn’t able to procure a DJ for the wedding. We reached out to Chris at the literal last minute and he was more than happy to help us make this an unforgettable night.

There were numerous last minute changes due to weather, changes in the order of events, last minute speech additions and music requests and Chris graciously and efficiently made the pivot every time to make sure that the day ran as smoothly as possible for the bride and groom.

We are so thankful that we reached out and would not hesitate to hire him in the future for any event where we need a professional DJ

We couldn’t be happier with our experience with Shepherd DJ! From the moment we booked him, Chris was professional, responsive, and genuinely excited to help make our day special.
The music selection was perfect. He, of course, listened to our preferences and crafted a playlist that kept the dance floor packed all night. Whether it was classic hits, our favorite modern tracks, or those must-play songs we requested, he blended everything seamlessly. His ability to read the crowd and adapt to the energy was impressive—there wasn’t a single dull moment!
He also handled announcements with enthusiasm and professionalism, helping the evening flow BEAUTIFULLY. He even stepped in as an impromptu wedding coordinator and made our day go so much smoother!!
If you’re looking for a DJ who’s talented, reliable, and passionate about creating an unforgettable experience, we can’t recommend him enough.
This was our family’s third wedding with him, and definitely not our last!

Amazing service!!

Amazing Wedding DJ!

We couldn’t be happier with our DJ, Chris! He brought incredible energy to our wedding. From our ceremony to the last song, the music was perfect and perfectly tailored to our style. He blended our requests with crowd favorites seamlessly, and our guests had an absolute blast. Chris was very flexible with our last minute change of venue because of the weather. After hiring him and one conversation later, I didn’t have to stress about this part of the process!

A huge thank you for making our day so memorable—we highly recommend them to anyone looking for a fantastic DJ!

The best dj there is.

Chris did a great job. I loved how professional he was and also a great job on the music. The music I did not have much selected for dance music but he picked the best songs for the moments. Great guy to have a dj and I highly recommend him.

Dj chris!

Chris was an absolute blast to work with. Even when I ran out of time on my stuff for him he answered his phone so quick to help me get everything sorted out. He answered every question we had and walked us through the process. The day of our wedding we had so many last minute changes and things come up, but Chris didn’t even hesitate once, he stayed calm and helped us sort everything out so fast. Chris truly helped me stay calm during the process and handled my wedding like a pro. He was quick, polite, and patient. He has done so many weddings in my family and never fails to amaze everyone. Chris was INSANE!!! He brought the party at my wedding! The process of choosing music throughout the engagement was smooth, easy and clear, he was always available and accommodating, he helped me plan EVERYTHING! Chris the owner/DJ was amazing!!!!!! He was on time, professional and knew exactly how to keep the guest at our wedding on the dance floor. Amazing wedding!

Chris was recommended by my wedding planner and was perfect for our wedding day! We weren’t sure what type of music we wanted, so Chris helped us fill in a lot of the blanks! We didn’t have a lot of the usual dances (we did a first jam instead of first dance and skipped a lot of the parent dances) and Chris helped us keep the flow going and made it feel perfectly natural! He even helped us keep the party going a little longer when we had a final song request after he was already wrapping up. Would highly recommend! Affordable and knows what he’s doing, very friendly and easy to work with!

Best Decision for Our Wedding!!

Chris is the best DJ ever!!! Working with him was super easy. He really took time to talk to us about the music we wanted and the feel of our wedding. Music plays a huge part of that! We had our guests requests songs in their rsvp and Chris was able to get most of them! He even got one during the night. Our guests were on the dance floor all night long. He worked wonderfully with our other vendors and adapted well with surprises that happened that even we didn't know about! Chris is very professional and a joy to work with.

From day one Chris had excellent communication with us. He was extremely helpful and was always available when we had a question. He was the DJ for our wedding and he made sure that we were given exactly what we wanted. He also made sure that all song requests by guests were appropriate and approved by us. A Blast To Work With!!

Chris can keep a party alive!! My husband and I wanted our guests to meet us on the dance floor to celebrate with us on our wedding day, and Chris knew how to make it happen! We will always remember our day for years and years to come! He also went above and beyond to get custom songs added to our playlist. Truly such a fun person and as accommodating as he can be! So glad he stayed with us after some venue changes.

Best of the best! From the very start, Chris (Shepherd DJ) was extremely attentive, very communicative, and personable. I was relaxed and at ease because I knew he was going to do a great job! This was the first wedding for our family. It could not have gone more smoothly! Chris’s process from start to finish and attention to detail provided a fun and festive environment complete with every detail/request delivered flawlessly. Everyone is still talking about what a great time that was had at our daughter’s wedding reception. We are looking forward to using Chris again for future events and other weddings that will be coming in our family!!!

DJ Shepherd gets the party started!

Chris was absolutely spectacular! My playlist was eclectic to say the least. We played everything from country, Broadway musicals (Hamilton), 2000’s pop, and rap(Wu-Tang Clan). Somehow Chris was able to make everything flow as if the genres were all the same. His attention to detail and ability to keep the dance floor going was impeccable. I can’t recommend him enough.

Chris made our day simply magical.

To say Chris did an incredible job is an understatement. He pulled all of my wedding dreams together, and truly made our day everything WE wanted it to be. We requested things we knew were difficult, but he pulled it all off. We sent in our playlist for both the ceremony and reception late, but he had nothing but patience and understanding with us. He was the bow to our wedding, and none of it would have been possible without him. He was professional, while still adding his charm here and there. He was amazing with all of the kids that attended, and even more amazing with our friends and family. We love him!!!

Chris with DJ Shepherd is excellent in every way!! He is responsive and easy to work with! Chris is a clear communicator and is reassuring every step of the way! He was flexible as I had some "different" needs such as microphones for singers and handling the music for the entire ceremony as well. His services are priced fairly if not below average for high quality work! He gets a sense of the group he's working with, and adjusts accordingly without letting a few outliers recommend inappropriate songs! I would definitely hire him again!

What an amazing experience!

We can not begin to thank Chris Barger with Shepherd DJ enough for the amazing experience. The program that Chris uses for the customer to set up music selections was a breeze and very thorough, he also gave us several ideas/suggestions we never thought of! On the big day he showed up early and ready to rock! He got his system set up swiftly and helped protect all of our guests from the mean attack swan at the venue!

Throughout the entire event Chris was a pleasure to work with and interacted with the guests as though they were his own family/friends. He went above and beyond anything we could have expected and helped prompt us at certain bench marks through the big day which was great since we were both a bit overwhelmed with family and friends. We would HIGHLY recommend Shepherd DJ to any and everyone in need of a DJ!

Chris went above and beyond to make sure our day was everything we dreamed of. He had Tissues ready as soon as anyone got a bit teary eyed (and there were a lot of tissues needed!). He helped the groom get ready and made sure he had everything he needed before, during, and after the ceremony and the reception. The grass was extremely wet and a bit slippery, and chris Was always ready to be at my side (I was the bride and had a huge dress) to make sure I didn’t slip and that I didn’t mess anything up. He really got the party going after such an emotional day, and I think it was absolutely perfect and what everyone needed. He really listened to what my groom and I had to say and was extremely thorough. He was so considerate and would only play stuff he knew we would both be happy with. He had a huge smile on his face the entire time and was just so fun to be around and have with us. When any of our friends/family members get married or have big events, there is no way I will let them use anyone other than chris because I know he will help make their day as absolutely perfect as ours was.

Absolutely extraordinary service! If you're planning an event, Chris Barger is your man. From start to finish, Chris made our wedding planning easy while giving us exactly what we wanted. Our ceremony and reception occurred in two different areas of the same property, with very little time to transition. Chris set up separate systems in both areas, including music and microphones, and the quality of each was flawless. We were able to select exactly which songs - and which version of those songs - we wanted played when, and Chris put together a great playlist for the rest. He kept our family and friends on the dance floor and energetic the whole time, and made for an excellent announcer. I've known Chris for many years but had never seen him work until that night, but now understand exactly why he has a perfect 5-star rating. This was the absolute best DJ service I have ever used. They allowed us to pre-pick a song list weeks before the event so all the families had a little input. I must say, for a huge graduation celebration of 5 graduates with approximately 300 guests, everyone was happy with the music selection. The DJ arrived early, had a great easy set up that did not take up much space, and also had a phenomenal sound system. The cost of the services were very affordable and it was obvious that the DJ loved making families smile and have a good time with music. Chris is the best. He makes sure that you know what you have to do with the online forms and you are able to pick out all the songs you want played at your event. Once it gets closer to your day, he will call you a talk to you a couple of times to make sure that he understands everything you are looking for. Chris was without a doubt the best and easiest vendor in all of our wedding planning! Not only was he a fantastic DJ, he was able to give some really great advice to the overall flow of the reception as things were progressing. Chris took care of so many details and helped take the workload off of us as a couple so we could enjoy our wedding and reception with our family and friends. Absolutely the highest recommendation that we can possibly give!

Chris is awesome, he was very calm and laid back which kept everything going smooth. In my opinion he was more helpful than the wedding planner we had hired. Chris made sure my wife as her shoes, that the food was put in our truck, all around made the whole wedding day better. He is a great dj too. He will go above and beyond you expectations. Chris was absolutely amazing! He took the time to help me with all my questions and walked me through all the song selections! He was amazing at the wedding with all the wedding guests and kids asking for songs. Thank you thank you!

Chris is SO MUCH more than a DJ! He provided amazing music entertainment for all ages throughout the night starting with the 80's and then getting to the party music. He rolled with everything we and the venue threw his way throughout the night. He was truly concerned in making sure everything was the way we wanted it and accommodated every request. He made sure me and my husband were doing well the whole night, even coordinating take home food. Chris even traveled 4 hours to Savannah to DJ!!! Prior to the wedding he quickly responded to any questions I had for myself or for the venue most of the time within minutes!!! Highly recommend DJ Shepherd! #morethanaDJ

Wow!! I can't say enough good things about Chris and Shepherd DJ service excellent excellent excellent! I got lots of compliments from the guests from young to old everybody loved him he kept everybody entertained. The flow of the evening was perfect. He never missed a beat. He kept everything on schedule. It was awesome! I would highly recommend his services to anyone looking for a DJ for any occasion. I can't say enough good things!

His playlist is endless, and will adjust the music to the crowd, which leads to a higher percentage of people dancing. We were all sore from dancing so much. Chris did an amazing job with our wedding. He made the entire process easy and came well prepared. It was impressive how he was able to quickly and effectively adapt to our schedule changes throughout the evening brought on by the inclement weather. Chris is amazing! He helped make everything run smoothly, kept us on track for time, and pitched in when anything needed done! Hiring Shepherd DJ Service for our daughter's wedding was the best investment we made and I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Chris was a phenomenal DJ! I was very nervous and worried about our reception due to the venue we booked, but Chris calmed me and assured me that he would take care of our reception and he really helped ease a lot of stress. He answered every text and even meet with us a few times. We had a few songs that were not on his list but he found them with no problem. He did a great job making all the announcements and kept our reception flowing. He also helped put together a cd of songs for the wedding itself, including finding the perfect song for me to walk down the aisle. He made our day special and exactly how we wanted it!

Chris was a great DJ! Eceptionally responsive. He really kept the timeline moving. He played great music to keep folks dancing and got some hard to find songs that I had requested. A friend recommended Chris after another DJ refused to do my wedding due to it being a same-sex wedding. For Chris that didn't matter. My wedding was AWESOME and Chris played (pun intended) a big part in that! If you are lucky enough to have Chris at your wedding, you WILL NOT be disappointed!

Chris was absolutely amazing! I'm in the wedding business, but it was nice to have a professional take over our music for our special day! He made things stress free on us and kept the good times going! He was very attentive to our needs and our timeline. We had to make a few changes at the last minute and he made things flow well and made things have a seamless transition. We can't say enough good things about him! I highly recommend him!!

Chris was the best DJ! We made a list of what we wanted to hear and he was able to add other songs to the mix that were perfect. He kept us on schedule for the ceremony & reception. He was great about taking requests. Our wedding was huge and we had so many people come up to us and say they had the best time. There was not a time during the night when the dance floor wasn't full. I would definitely recommend Chris for your day. He is so nice and wants your day to be exactly how YOU want it! We can't say enough great things about him and how special he made our wedding day.
