Shawn brought so much magic to our ceremony!
Shawn is a master at his craft! Shawn played our ceremony music and it just tied everything together so magically. The sound was impeccable, and he was SO professional! He was such a delight & easy vendor to work with, despite 3 date changes due to COVID. We never had the chance to meet prior to the wedding day because we were out of state, but I had zero worries or stress about that. Thank you, Shawn for bringing even more romance & emotion to our wedding than we thought possible!

Shawn worked with us ahead of time to create a list of music that fit the feeling of the day as well as the style we liked. Shawn is professional and incredibly easy to work with throughout the planning process. During the Ceremony, his music was the perfect touch of elegance we needed! Then transitioning to cocktail hour seamlessly keeping the energy light and joyful while setting the perfect tone. Best violinist ever
I would give Shawn 100 stars if I could!!! From the very first meeting, he went above and beyond to make our wedding day uniquely ours. Shawn met with my husband and me multiple times leading up to the big day to truly understand the vibe we were looking for. We had some non-traditional requests — including an EDM song I love and a piece from the movie Interstellar — and Shawn didn’t just learn them, he created custom violin renditions that were absolutely breathtaking. His talent is truly unmatched.
Not only is Shawn incredibly gifted, but he is also one of the kindest, most genuine people you will ever meet. He played during our cocktail hour — both solo and in coordination with our DJ — and even performed live during our first dance, making the moment unbelievably special. Every step of the way, he went the extra mile to ensure everything was perfect, and it showed.
Our wedding wouldn’t have been the same without him. If you are looking for a violinist who is wildly talented, endlessly accommodating, and an absolute joy to work with, Shawn is your guy. We feel so lucky to have had him as part of our day!

If you're looking for wedding ceremony music, look no further!
We recently hired Shawn to play at our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour and he was incredible to work with! From our initial consultation where he played a few songs for us over Zoom, to the wedding day itself, Shawn was professional and very easy to work with. His packages are straight forward and inclusive - he doesn't try to nickel and dime you for every little thing. He handled both the music as well as the audio equipment (speakers and mics), as neither our venue and band offered these as options for the ceremony. He also arrived early to make sure everything was set up and working properly and even played a few songs for my husband and I during our first looks - it was like our own private concert! Overall, we would recommend Shawn a million times over!

My husband and I were married November 11th, 2023 and I knew I wanted a violinist for our ceremony. After lots of online searching, I was blown away by the reviews and award winnings Shawn had on his page. After our first video session I knew we had made the right decision. Shawn was wonderful to work with and very down to earth, listening to everything we wanted and even putting some of his own feels into our song choices. We hired Shawn for our daughters outdoor wedding. He was beyone amazing. He met with us VIA Zoom. We hit if off right away and he listened to her idea's. Gave us some idea's. Closer the wedding, he met with both of them again VIA Zoom to finalize everything. He was there early. Very professional and personable. He added so much class and elegance to the wedding that we had people asking about him for future events. Highly recommend him and his services. He even brought a label mic for the officiant. Wonderful experience!
Shawn was fantastic to work with for our event. Our requests for music were rather unique - Zappa, David Bowie, Pfunk, Stevie Wonder - and Shawn was able to work these all in as well as improvise and play similar styles throughout the event. Shawn is extremely talented and makes everything sound great. He was also punctual, clear with instructions, open to meeting with us via zoom pre-event, and fair with payment. Shawn was very engaging with our guests and extremely easy to chat with throughout the day. Shawn was easily the best vendor choice for our event and we wouldn’t hesitate to book him again. We will definitely be recommending him to everyone we can!

Hire Shawn for a Memorable Event
Shawn is not only an incredibly talented violinist but a genuinely kind person. He adapted to our random music requests prior to the wedding with such ease. We met with Shawn via a video call and he played our requests on the spot. He made such great recommendations and picked up on our style right away. We were blown away then and so glad we booked him for our wedding day. Our guests were asking for his info all night long. It was such a special moment walking down the aisle and mingling during cocktail hour with a violinist who curated the day to our music taste. Book Shawn and expect to be blown away. Made a special day even more memorable
My daughter and her fiancé wanted to craft a unique feel to their wedding ceremony and reception. After finding Shawn on Wedding Wire, they worked with him to create some lasting memories. Shawn played during the ceremony, cocktail hour and during the reception. We had a traditional hora dance to kick the party off, and Shawn played in the center of our circle. Not one person who attended the wedding had ever experienced anything like it! He provided such an energetic feel to the dance. I don't think anyone of our over 155 guests was sitting for the hora! It was truly phenomenal. Shawn was a pleasure to work with. Now I just need to think of another reason to hire him again!

Must have at your wedding!
Shawn was exactly the person we were looking for to add that special touch to our wedding. He worked with us throughout the process to curate our custom playlist. Shawn is super talented and there is literally nothing he can't play. Sone of the other violinists we considered were too stiff and stuffy. If you want a magical day, Hire Shawn!
Shawn was the vendor that was the easiest to work with. After the first time we facetimed he was defiantly a friend! I had no idea what to expect with hiring live music for our wedding but i thought it would be a unique twist and it was! Shawn was exactly what i was looking for. He played music for us the first time we met, went over pricing step by step and even gave us a discount to match our need for the ceremony!
We met via facetime severely time throughout the process each time taking all the time I needed to hear music and go over what i wanted and when. Shawn guided me every step of the way and i was so thankful!
The day of the wedding he arrived early, and was very professional. Their were many changes to our plan throughout the day and he rolled with each and every one flawlessly! He play all of my special request and our guest loved him! He was the addition that was the cherry on top! I would hire him over and over again for any of our music needs!!
If you've read all of this then i hope you know without a doubt that you will not be disappointed if you hire Shawn for your wedding day.

Amazing, Knowledgeable, Wonderful to work with!
Mr. Boucke was previously my substitute orchestra teacher over a decade ago; so imagine my shock finding him on here when was looking for a musician for our wedding day! He was so kind both then and while we spoke about our wedding. didn't have the first clue about what all we wanted him to play outside of what song we picked for walking down the aisle. He was able to recommend plenty of songs and was fantastic in that regard! We ended up getting so many compliments on his music; it was genuinely incredible and I can't wait to get our video back so we can experience it all again.
Mr. Boucke if you read this, I thanked you a bunch already but genuinely thank you so much again for making our wedding day as magical as it was. We are so grateful to you! You are incredibly talented, we can't recommend you enough to those who are considering a musician to play!

Talented and professional violinist
Shawn played electric violin during both our ceremony and cocktail hour and was fantastic to work with. He was flexible when we had to reschedule our wedding due to COVID, and met with us multiple times on Zoom, since we were planning our wedding from out of state.
My husband and I had a hard time deciding on music for our ceremony, but Shawn quickly cleared up our concerns after meeting with us. He was very friendly and had plenty of suggestions, which he demonstrated on the spot. He had the great idea to use a violin arrangement of our first dance song (Here, There, and Everywhere by The Beatles) for our bridal procession, and we immediately knew it was the right choice when he played it for us. His cocktail hour music was pleasant and not too loud, and he even took a couple of requests!
I would highly recommend Shawn to anyone looking for live wedding ceremony music.

Enchanted us with delightful song all night
We had stumbled up Shawn while searching for music to have at our wedding. We were thrilled to see that he offered something unique and that would uplift our event. After booking Shawn he quickly became one of our favorite vendors to work with. He met with us multiple times to discuss styles of music, help guide the flow of our event, and make sure that we were pleased with our selection. He was so personable and fun to work with. He brought so much positive energy and his music…well it was something magical we will never forget. Our guest raved about his talent and song all night. We had a few curveball requests such as “shipping up to Boston” and “the up song.” He executed these with ease and was just amazingly talented. It was so fun! We could not have asked for a better musician. He was just unbelievably talented. We loved listening to him and anyone that books him for their wedding will as well. Working with Shawn has been such a joy. I felt I could rely on him not only with music but with planning my ceremony. His experience and insight created an experience that I feel lucky to have received.
If you want something special, someone who will create something just for you, hire Shawn. He is not kidding when he says he will create new arrangements just for your wedding. I asked him to play a couple songs from my favorite indie film and not only was he able to play it, he made it fit perfectly with our ceremony.

I hired Shawn two days before my wedding on 11/7/20. My original person was unable to do my wedding music and cancelled two days before my wedding putting me in a really bad spot. Shawn immediately responded to me and set up a zoom meeting that day. He took on my wedding on such short notice, customized the music to how I wanted, and was so responsive. I cannot say how much I appreciated him he is so talented. I highly recommend if you need someone for wedding music hire him.

Shawn is amazing!
My husband and I have nothing but amazing things to say about Shawn! He is incredibly responsive and flexible, which was great since we had a lot of changes to make to our wedding due to the pandemic. Shawn is truly an artist and makes absolutely beautiful music. He accommodated our (my) many requests to hear various different songs. He was up for learning any song that we wanted and met with us virtually in addition to sending us videos of the songs we were interested in for our ceremony. Shawn arrived early and was playing music while we were taking pictures, which was great ambiance and stayed after the ceremony to play a bit while we signed our marriage license. He also has an electric violin that he can do looping with so it sounds even fuller. Shawn even accommodated my requests that were very specific and detailed while maintaining such a positive energy. Shawn is wonderful to work with and cares so much about what he does. We cannot recommend Shawn enough!!!

Best part of the wedding (Besides the "I do")
Shawn's talent is unbelievable. I have never seen what he does. If you want a solo violinist, get Shawn. If you want a cellist, Shawn can make it sound like one is there. Shawn was so accommodating and flexible. Our wedding changed because of covid multiple times. We changed our date once, then changed the timeline. We ended up having a small wedding ceremony with a 2 hour cocktail hour. Shawn happily agreed to stay the extra hour. Shawn was also very professional. He was a great communicator through it all, and did a final phone call with me 2 days prior to my wedding to make sure all the detail and songs were correct. I received so many compliments from guests as well on his beautiful music. I would highly recommend Shawn to anyone!

Amazing talent and flexible service
Shawn has some impressive talent on the violin. Not just that, but he was easy to work with, was on-time for the event, and didn't leave right away if guests were still near the ceremony location (where he was setup to play).
I was impressed with all the songs he knew, traditional and new. He even played Thunderstruck at the request of my bridesmaid for fun when we were taking pictures after the ceremony.
I highly recommend Shawn if you are looking for the best violinist for your wedding. I'm thankful he was willing to perform at mine.

Shawn was a dream to work with! I would recommend him to anyone who needs a killer violinist. From the moment I heard him playing at a bridal show, I knew he needed to play at my wedding! I was thrilled to learn that he was available for our wedding! He was wonderful to work with and made us feel so comfortable. He was very clear that he was there to help make our day special and he would do whatever he could to make it perfect! He sent a little sample for my sister to practice with, which was super helpful and made my sister more comfortable for the day of performance. Everything was amazing and sounded spectacular. I'll start off by saying Shawn is an absolute rock star. Any stress we had regarding musical entertainment was immediately relieved by how easy going and open minded Shawn was to work with. We were quite indecisive in regards to what pieces we wanted played during certain parts of the wedding and Shawn came up with a game plan and smashed it out of the park. During our first dance he made us feel like we were in a fairytale as we danced with our own violinist strolling around the dance floor, if you are looking for a truly magical, one of a kind experience for you and your guests Shawn is definitely the man for the job. Shawn did a fabulous job at both our wedding ceremony and reception cocktail hour. He plays the violin beautifully. He was serious when he said he would arrange and work to perform any song we requested. I never heard ,"No," to any of my song ideas. He also coordinated with both our priest and vocalist to ensure timing was correct etc. He responds quickly to all emails.

Shawn is such a great performer and I'm so glad we had him at our wedding ceremony. He was so easy to work with and prior to the wedding he reached out a few times to get to know us better and to get a better understanding of our thoughts/expectations for music for our wedding. When first planning my wedding, I was asked what kind of music are you going to have for your ceremony. Immediately... I started panicking! With all of the details this must have slipped my mind. After hiring Shawn, the music I totally panicked about became ONE OF THE BEST parts of our wedding! Shawn is INCREDIBLE! Not only did he play our ceremony music he played all of our cocktail hour music as he strolled through the barn with his violin. One of the most elegant, beautiful, one of a kind sounds that totally made the ambiance and feeling of our wedding. I would ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND!
The planning process with Shawn was one of my husband's and I's favorite part of the planning process. We were able to skype with him and during this time any song that came to mind he would just whip out on his violin and play during the skype call.

Shawn is AMAZING. He not only DJ'd our wedding, he also was violinist for our ceremony AND cocktail hour before our reception. Everyone at the wedding gave rave reviews. It was so awesome how he incorporated the violin into more modern music. He strolled around playing the violin during the dinner hour too. There is no doubt how absolutely talented Shawn is. It's hard to find a starting point to say enough good things about Shawn because he did a phenomenal job. Leading up to our wedding he made the process incredibly easy, asked the right questions, and made it a point to understand what we envisioned for the wedding. On the big day, he was set up well in advance and did a final check before getting started. During the wedding and reception, Shawn did his thing without needing much from us, and it turned out awesome. Our guests loved the music, but they loved the electric violin even more. Our guests especially loved it when Shawn played the violin while dancing during some of the songs. We did a somewhat non-traditional wedding, so during the precessional we requested he play songs on his acoustic violin like "Marry You" by Bruno Mars and "Sugar" by Maroon 5. Shawn acted as a violinist at our wedding ceremony & DJ at our wedding reception. Shawn was great to work with! Setting up our day was effortless with Shawn who was very organized and professional. We had very specific ideas of the music we wanted for our ceremony and dinner. Shawn made a great effort to learn the music and was very prepared on the day of the wedding. The music he played for our ceremony really set the tone of a beautiful and elegant occasion. During dinner, Shawn played great music and added in the personal touch of walking the reception hall and playing violin beautifully over the top of the tracks. As the night went on, Shawn kept people moving on the dance fall as our DJ! He did a great job of feeling the energy in the room and helping everyone let loose and enjoy themselves. During the wedding and since, we have received nothing but high praise for how unique Shawn was as a DJ and violinist. We would make the same decision to go with Shawn all over again. The value Shawn added to our wedding was worth double what we paid! We highly recommend him!

We loved working with Shawn! He also got many compliments from our guest. They absolutely loved when he walked around during cocktail hour and dinner playing his violin along with additional music. He also did a fantastic job djing and even got out on the floor with us :) He is very accommodating and would definitely book him all over again!

Shawn was absolutely amazing from our initial conversation, through the planning and on our wedding day. We hired Shawn to play the violin at our ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and he was also our DJ. Everything was flawless he was very attention and engaged the entire day/ evening. His music was beautiful and he even got on the dance floor with our guests. Very unique experience and I'm confident to say there is no one better for the experience, professionalism and value. I would strongly suggest Shawn for any event coming from someone who has very high standards! Our guests would agree based on all the compliments. Shawn did my ceremony music and was also the DJ at our wedding on August 12, 2017. I was looking for someone who was unique and brought something different to the table. I'm so glad I found Shawn and booked him because he outperformed our expectations. We had an outdoor wedding on a windy day and that did not seem to pose a problem. He was super early and it was so nice to open the windows and hear him practicing. During our reception, he was out there on the dance floor showing everyone the dance moves to several songs. Shawn blew me away with his talent! He went above and beyond to listen to what we wanted, and had the flexibility not only to learn new music for us only a few days before the wedding, but also the ability to accommodate accompanying my cousin who decided to sing at the wedding too! He took the time to meet with us virtually (we live in New York), and play several different pieces that he had learned at my request. Shawn was professional, polite, charming, and so much fun to talk to at every point. Shawn added an elegant touch to the wedding, and our guests were thrilled. I can't recommend him enough!

Shawn was hired for our daughters vintage circus theme wedding to provide ceremony music, including before and after the ceremony. He is an excellent musician, very professional and worked to provide some of the unique music we wanted during this time. He is easy to work with, responds promptly and very fair in addition to playing the violin excellent! I would highly recommend him for any event!

Shawn was terrific and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a personalized ceremony and reception! He played from the minute the first guest arrived until the last guest had left. His electric violin was very interactive and my guests enjoyed him walking through the cocktail hour while playing. He was a very active DJ and always encouraged people to get out on the dance floor. I received multiple compliments throughout the night regarding the music!

Shawn was one of our favorite vendor picks for our wedding. He was fantastic from the start of the process a year before our wedding (May 2017) all the way to the Don't Stop Believin' end of the night. Funny, friendly, casual, he made the process incredibly easy and worked with all of our requests and had an answer for all of our questions.
Having Shawn play the violin beautifully for the ceremony and during dinner, then switch to DJ duties for dancing (while adding in a few solos on the violin to spice up some of the music) was awesome. He came up with funny and creative ideas to really make the music far more interesting than most DJs we've been around.
Tremendous thanks to Shawn for adding a special flare to our wedding that made the day all that more special.

Shawn was absolutely wonderful! We hired him to play the violin for our ceremony and DJ our reception. From the very start he was easy to work with and invited us to his studio to hear him play in person. We were very impressed with his skills and hired him on the spot. He was also LGBT friendly which was important to us as well. He meet with us via Skype a week or two before our wedding date to verify all the details. The day of the wedding, Shawn was very organized and made sure everything went smoothly. His wife came to assist, she was awesome as well. The violin music gave us that extra touch we were looking for during our ceremony. He literally can play anything and it sounds so beautiful. During the reception he kept everyone on the dance floor. He also got out there and showed our guests how to do some of the choreographed dances and played his violin to keep people's attention. I have heard nothing but great feedback and complements since our weddings. Everyone has been taking about Shawn and how awesome was. I even had someone ask for his contact info for their upcoming wedding. I would recommend Shawn to any couple looking for a DJ and/or musician. I would also hire him for any futures needs I may have. Shawn was simply amazing throughout the whole process. From the moment we met him at his studio to his attentive communication, we couldn't have asked for anyone better. He is SO talented! We got a ton of compliments on the music for the ceremony, which he played on the violin, and how entertaining he was for the reception. He would come right out to the dance floor and get down with the crowd! He met with us before we started the reception to make sure all of the music was good with us as well as gave us direction on how things would go. The one thing I really liked is how he sets up his equipment. Instead of looking at a bunch of cords everywhere from a computer, he uses this white stand to make things look cleaner and organized. He has a great personality and I'd tell anyone looking for a DJ to hire him in a heartbeat.

Shawn was the greatest choice we could have made for a musician and a DJ for our wedding!
Shawn met with us via phone, in person, and via Skype prior to our wedding. Each time he was full of advice, enthusiasm and attentiveness, to ensure that our day would be EXACTLY what we want. Well, despite all of that planning to get exactly what we wanted, Shawn FAR exceeded our expectations!
Shawn played violin for our ceremony, played strolling violin for our cocktail hour, and then was our DJ (and played along on violin a few times!) for our reception. He was absolutely perfect at reading the crowd, getting everybody excited, and even getting down and dancing/showing dances to the guests! He found a way to pump up the party without taking attention from the bride and groom.
We NEVER had an empty dance floor as a result. Everybody raved at how amazing Shawn was and how energetic he was. He was by far the best choice we could have made. He made us feel so comfortable, and really took the time to get to know us, our preferences, and our style that on our wedding day, it felt like we had a good friend that we trusted as MC and DJ to our wedding.

Absolutely amazing and professional. Most of all, Shawn knows music! We had him perform during our ceremony and DJ our reception. From the moment we met him, it was clear that he could handle anything. We used his vast experience to guide our wedding planning. The phantom of the opera themed ceremony music we requested was arranged and performed flawlessly. His DJing also was on point. In addition to punctual and professional MCing, he interacted with our guests to provide an experience everyone enjoyed and remembers. Shawn was unbelievable! From the first time we met him to the day of the wedding, Shawn was profession and so easy to work with. He was always quick to respond and willing to work with us. Shawn made sure he had all the music we wanted for our special day. He even went out of his way to find and buy a song for our wedding. From the ceremony to the reception all our guests raved about how good he was. Everyone thought it was so awesome how he could just jump on the dance floor and play a popular hit song. Shawn was so amazing to work with throughout the entire process! We had a skype call with him a few weeks before our wedding to talk about everything and he was incredibly professional and helpful! He was able to offer really helpful advice as far as the night went on, and helped us plan the night to flow smooth and organized!
Now we get to the music! We danced the night away!! Shawn not only played the violin for our ceremony and cocktail hour but he brought it out and played (and danced!) along to a bunch of songs throughout the night. We had and continue to have people tell us how much they enjoyed the music and how much they loved the violin. We are so grateful to have worked with Shawn for our wedding and cannot thank him enough! Now we just need to find an excuse to have a dance party with him again!!!

If you want amazing, personal service and beautiful music for your ceremony, you MUST hire Shawn! There's a reason Shawn has an outstanding, five-star rating from all of his clients. It's because he is wonderful to work with and executes ceremony music flawlessly. We hired Shawn for our ceremony and cocktail hour music. Shawn has an amazing repetoire of music, and can play anything. We wanted to stick with classical music for our ceremony, but not the wedding "standards" (e.g., Canon in D, Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring, Ava Marie, etc.). We picked some obscure pieces for him, and he played them flawlessly. Our guests liked how he strolled through the crowd, playing the violin, during our cocktail hour. He's an incredibly talented musician. And, he's SO nice! And incredibly professional. He was by far our favorite vendor to work with.

Shawn played at our wedding during the ceremony and reception. Every one of our guests absolutely raved about him and so do we! He graciously ran up and down stairs all evening from the balcony where his equipment was to the dance floor. He was handed many challenges and everything went off perfectly. Shawn was absolutely amazing! We hired him to play violin during the ceremony and DJ at the reception. Our ceremony music was beautiful, Shawn went out of his way to learn new music for our songs and made sure to send us example clips of him playing during the planning process. The music during the reception was everything we could have wanted, Shawn was so interactive with the crowd, he even got out on the dance floor to show how to do the cupid shuffle!! He played along with some of the music during dinner and dancing and always looked like he was having so much fun! We had so many people come up to us and say how wonderful they thought he was. He helped to make our day perfect and will be highly recommended by me to anyone looking for a DJ.

Shawn was everything my husband and I hoped for...and then some! He played violin for our ceremony and was the DJ for our reception. From our first meeting to the end of our wedding, he was extremely professional and personable. He made a point to listen to our requests and play the songs for us that we were considering so we knew how they would sound. He helped us personalize our ceremony and reception with our music choices. During the reception/dancing, he played the electric violin along with some of the songs and our guests absolutely loved it! We got so many compliments on him (especially playing the violin during the ceremony). Shawn is the whole package and we are so glad we got to work with him.
