Phenomenal photos, great relaxed experience

Awesome experience from the start to finish. Immediately felt very relaxed. We didn’t want anything too formal and Shane captured the full spectrum of the event, from every detail to amazing moments of our friends and family and both formal and more casual portraits of us. We can’t stop looking back at our photos and feel it really encompasses our emotions and the feeling of the day. Shane was great at asking our goals and running with it. His partner Meg was also awesome to work with - they both made our day so special and memorable.

Perfectly captured our wedding day!

Shane and Meg were so wonderful to work with as our wedding photographers! They were calm and friendly, which immediately put us at ease on such a busy day. Shane was also incredibly organized and easy to work with throughout the planning stages. The day of, we never felt rushed and always felt taken care of. Not only were they great to work with, but we absolutely love our photographs! The artistry and attention to detail is apparent and we loved the candid style of many of the photographs. Shane and Meg exceeded our expectations and their work will give us memories we will cherish forever - we can’t recommend them enough!

Amazing photos that bring us back to the moment

We could not be happier with our engagement and wedding photography done by Shane and his partner Meg. We did our engagement photos on the Boston Esplanade a year before the wedding and had never done anything like that before, especially in public. Shane immediately put us at ease, knew the best way to pose us at different locations, and worked the light perfectly over the hour as it changed from somewhat cloudy to a brilliant sunset. The engagement photos came out exactly as we were hoping. On the day of the wedding, Shane and Meg captured a great combination of detail shots, classic "wedding portrait" shots, and candid expressive pictures that really bring us back to the moment in time. We were slightly worried about our venue's somewhat low light (Boston Waterworks Museum) during a rainy evening causing the technical quality of the photos to be less than ideal, but we were very pleasantly surprised by how they turned out both in print and digitally. The completed wedding set (~1000 images) were edited and turned around in about 3 weeks for our June wedding, which we were honestly shocked by. We have received so many compliments on the finished images from friends and family! Thanks Shane and Meg!

Captured the day perfectly!

Shane and Meg were such a joy to work with for our wedding day! Shane is truly a professional and instantly made us feel at ease. This was our first time getting professional pictures taken together as a couple, and Shane made it feel so natural and easy. He was both efficient and very detail oriented, making sure to not miss any moments of the day! We were blown away by how many amazing photos he took (especially the ones out in the cold/snow), and how perfectly he documented the day. I particularly loved how well he captured our personalities and the magic/joy we felt that day. We would highly recommend Shane and Meg to anyone, and couldn't be happier with our photos!

The Perfect Wedding Photographer!

If you want a seamless wedding day with amazing photos, Shane and his partner are for you. Admittedly, me and my wife are not huge photo takers, but Shane and his partner made it so easy. From our engagement shoot to our wedding day, Shane made sure we had amazing photos, hit all of the items on our shotlist, and kept it fun all while staying ahead of our tight timeline. After being in several weddings, it is clear that Shane is a veteran and makes sure that pictures are not a delay in the timeline. I could not recommend Shane enough!

Amazing Pictures!!

When we first met Shane, he greeted us with a smile and immediately put us at ease with his down-to-earth personality. He was very attentive and responsive to all requests and concerns we had before and on our wedding day. His laid back energy helped us stay relaxed on our wedding day, even with rain!

Shane finished our wedding album and was able to send it to us within a few weeks of the wedding. The pictures were AMAZING! we were so happy with how they came out and can't wait to get prints made!

Could not be happier!

Shane and his partner Meg were an absolute joy to work with on our wedding day. Each meeting leading up to the wedding left us feeling so calm because Shane's experience, kindness, and knowledge allowed him to answer every question and assuage every concern in the blink of an eye. He was receptive to what we felt were our most important moments and offered guidance from his vast experience that was always spot-on. On the wedding day, he was such a joy to be around! He was unobtrusive but also helped keep everything on track, he was always ready and willing to help make little adjustments to make everything perfect, and he brought such a calm and positive energy to the day! The finished photos were delivered right on time (and he was super responsive to a request to get the photos in time for my birthday!) and his work was absolutely STUNNING. We love >95% of the photos of us, where on a typical day I hate most photos! We could not be happier with the finished products and the experience of working with Shane.

Since we were planning a wedding out of state, we knew we needed a team of vendors that we could trust without meeting face to face. When it came to a photographer, we found just that in Shane and his partner Meg. After we chatted through email and over the phone, we knew we were in good hands. Amazing experience!

We had such a wonderful experience with Shane Godfrey photography. My husband and I are incredibly awkward posers and he still was able to take such wonderful natural looking photos. He was also very kind and very easy to work with. He is an experienced photographer and we never had to ask him to take a certain photo- he always seemed to be there to capture every special moment.

Professional & Highly Recommend

Shane was recommended by our vendor for photography. We wanted to work with someone who was familiar with the venue & photos were my husband & I's most important aspect of our wedding day. We wanted someone to capture every bit of our day & we couldn't have been more thrilled to work with Shane. He talked us through the whole process & leading up to the day, if I ever had any questions, he got back to me with all my questions answered. We wanted to do a first-look & he worked with our schedule to make sure we had enough time to get all those photos done so we could enjoy our cocktail hour with family & friends. Even though our wedding day was rainy, he even took us aside during the wedding to capture some great shots of just my husband and I outside when the weather lightened up. A consummate artist who will capture your emotions perfectly!

Shane was suggested to us with tremendously high praise! In short, even with this in mind, he exceeded our expectations by miles! Since we were planning the wedding from out of state (the venue was the Harvard Art Museum and we were no longer living in Boston at the time), we were very much hoping to meet up with Shane and walk around the venue together to hear his / as well as share our thoughts. He was tremendously accommodating with the timing constraints of our visit and we had an amazing time walking around both venues the events were held in (A. Busch Hall and the Harvard Art Museum). On the day of our wedding, Shane and his assistant, Meg, were a tag-team-duo that rivaled Batman and Robin! They were perfectly in sync and captured both the moments and the emotions of the day! Shane is a true artist and captured a very unique and special print using his Wista field camera that we absolutely adore! We cannot recommend Shane with any higher praise; he is amazingly understanding, attentive, kind, super resourceful and a truly astounding photographer!

A fabulous photographer who is able to capture exactly who you are as a couple

We found Shane Godfrey on a list of recommended vendors given to us by our venue (The Barn at Gibbet Hill) and decided to meet with him after seeing samples of his beautiful work online. He seemed to capture not only the just the event and the attendants, but the emotion behind what was going on. When we had our meeting, he showed us sample books of his work, wedding albums he had done and gave us access to an online photo collection from a previous wedding (which also gave us insight into what we would receive after our wedding). He emphasized that his goal was to illustrate the spirit of the couple and guests and that he typically worked on a loose plan of what photos he would take and work off what stood out to him the day of. That aligned perfectly with what we were looking for, as we did not want lots of planned shots or intend to work off a shot list. We loved how he even his posed photos looked natural, and the fact that he relied heavily on capturing candid moments, somehow managing to always make the people in them look good (which really takes some artistic genius). He works with a second photographer (her name was Meg and she also is incredibly talented), which was great on the wedding day because they were able to take “getting ready” photos of both of us (and our wedding parties) and also capture moments from the whole event from multiple angles. Around sunset Shane came up to us to let us know that it would be the perfect time to take some shots in the field near the barn. These “golden hour” shots are unbelievable gorgeous and definitely some of our favorites from the night. Yet, it’s hard to pick favorites when everything was captured so perfectly. Shane told us that between he and Meg they typically take around 7,000 - 8,000 photographs throughout the night and then send you 500 - 1,000; which shows you how hard they work both during the event and afterward. We are now selecting which photos to use in the wedding album that we ordered from him, and you know that a photographer must have done an amazing job when even your “narrowed down” list is more than double what an album can actually fit. Shane captured every moment that we wanted during our wedding, and so much more. We will look back at these photos for the rest of our lives and could not be happier with the way they came out. You will be making a wonderful decision if you decide to use him for your wedding!

Shane and Meg were fantastic! They were professional, positive, and patient (even with some of our rowdy friends and my aunts who tried to control the photo taking) , and I didn't feel like I had to worry about anything with the photos. Additionally, they were very efficient, which allowed us to enjoy as much of the cocktail hour and reception as possible. Cannot recommend them enough.

From our engagement pictures to the day of our wedding, Shane (and Meg) was more than just a great photographer. I spoke with him several times when planning the timing of our ceremony and reception (which were a bit of a drive from each other, so I had some concerns about whether it would all work out). His good-natured personality, professionalism, and wedding expertise allowed us to have a relaxed, stress-free wedding day, with the comfort of knowing that we would get all of the photos we needed, and stay on-schedule. (He even ended up putting on my veil, when no one else could figure out the best placement for it!) We absolutely love how all of our photos turned out, and we couldn't be happier with our choice of him as our wedding photographer!

We highly and enthusiastically recommend Shane Godfrey and Meg, his creative partner! We just received our photos from our July 2017 wedding, and couldn’t be more amazed. These photos are our one professional keepsake from our day (no videographer – we had a friend GoPro it) and we really feel like the photos represent every step of the day so well, even in ways we didn’t see when we were experiencing the day. Working with Shane and Meg in the moment, it goes so quickly and easily; and afterwards when we saw the images, we couldn’t be happier. Elegant, true, our best selves. And the essence of so many of our guests were captured the same way, which we really treasure. I was thankful that even though Shane shines in journalistic photography, the bridal party and family photographs that were important to us had just as much love. Shane and his creative partner Meg, are fantastic. I used him for engagement photos and wedding photos. He is laid back, but quick. He took beautiful photos of the wedding and the reception. He made the whole process easy. The two of them make sure you look perfect in your shot, I'm talking bustle fixing, to make up and hair adjustments. You can trust that they will do an amazing job because they actually care about making it perfect. I would use them for an other events I have. 5 stars, and forever grateful.

Shane was a real pleasure to work with, we actually met him at our friend's wedding and he was so great at that time we decided to get him for our wedding as well. He got all the best shots at our venue and created a real mystique in the photos that is exactly what you think of when you think of professional wedding photos.

He and his assistant were incredibly personable and allowed us to relax on what was definitely a sort of stressful day. The pictures were ready about 4 weeks after our event which I believe is about standard for this.

My bride and I have very different skin tones and he was able to balance those along with the various colors at our wedding venue to create photos that had very enchanting environment. It had been raining most of the day which we thought would make pictures difficult, but it really worked out and the pictures actually came out better than we could have imagined.

If you are looking for a professional and personally engaging photographer who will be extremely easy to work with I would recommend Shane Godfrey Photography.

Choosing a photographer is one of the most important decisions you'll make while planning your wedding, since the pictures will be the lasting memories. Long story short, Shane and his partner Meg were just outstanding.

We loved his photojournalistic style after coming across his portfolio online, and as soon as we met it was obvious to me that he should be our photographer. Shane is friendly and easygoing but extremely professional as well. He was always easy to get in touch with when needed.

The day of the wedding he and Meg just did their thing with no fuss. Showed up where and when they were supposed to, were even helpful with non -photo related things and keeping the day on schedule. My husband and I usually hate having photos taken but it they made it very comfortable. They actually felt more like fun friends at the wedding rather than photographers! They were so kind to everyone. I had many glowing comments from guests about Shane and Meg afterwards, too.

And the best part? Our photos are breathtaking! Shane and Meg got all the requisite ceremony/bridal party/family pics but my favorites are all the little candid moments they captured with ourselves and our guests. I can look through the photos and I actually feel like I'm at the wedding again. I feel silly but i cant stop looking at them :) We really treasure our photos.

I can't recommend Shane Godfrey photography highly enough. Book them now - it will be the best decision you make!

Our guests almost all had the same thing to say, during the days and weeks following our wedding: “Your wedding was so [positive adjective]! Your photographer was AWESOME.” Our guests said this, across the board, before they’d even seen the images that Shane captured—it really speaks to what a nice presence that he has, and how comfortable he makes his photo subjects.

We had Shane take our engagement photos, as well as our wedding photos, and he was incredibly pleasant to work with—he was very friendly, laid-back, conversational, and had a terrific sense of humor. We felt comfortable with him from moment one, and confident that he was going to do a terrific job. All of our guests and bridal party members echoed that (resoundingly) after the wedding itself. We’ve heard so much positive feedback about how great Shane’s interactions were with our guests, and how he was very present—but very unobtrusive.

The actual results from both of our photo sessions are just beautiful. We had an engagement session down in the Boston Public Garden, and our wedding was out at a botanical garden that had an outdoor and indoor component. Shane knew how to make use of the different settings, and his use of light (and the natural landscape) really stand out in both our sets of photos. We loved everything about our wedding photos, but what we’re the happiest with are the portraits of our guests. Shane and Meg managed to capture gorgeous candids of just about everyone in attendance—we hope to order prints of the candids as eventual gifts, because they’re just so spectacular at capturing particular personalities, facial expressions, and the actual texture of some interactions.

We can’t say enough about how professional and how thoroughly awesome Shane was to work with. He’s a very gifted photographer, and we were lucky to work with him.

Shane was AMAZING. He was recommended to us after we had found him as well so it was fate. He was a delight to have around as we were getting ready and truly was a fly on the wall - allowing all the girls to enjoy the time before the wedding. He became part of the fun - helping me maneuver my dress (using the knowledge he has acquired from many weddings) and even popping champagne for us in the limo!

His other half, Meg, was able capture the guys getting ready at the same time so nothing was missed.

We chose not to do a first look and with Shane - it was very possible! Our wedding party even got to enjoy most of the cocktail hour and my new husband and I had a few minutes to ourselves before the reception. He was quick and efficient but didn't miss a shot!

All of the pictures came out AMAZING and we couldn't be happier.I find myself looking at them over and over again, reliving our amazing day. Book Shane - you won't regret it.

The best photographer!!!! We can't rave enough about Shane! Shane truly made our wedding day! He is an amazing photographer and wonderful person. We took engagement photos with Shane and fell in love with him. Not only did he make the photo shoot completely stress free but the pictures came back quickly and were absolutely gorgeous. On the wedding day, everyone wanted to be friends with Shane and his partner Meg! He was able to fix my hair and veil! He is definitely someone you want to have by your side on your wedding day! We can't say enough about Shane. From the time we first met him, throughout our consultations, to the day of our wedding, Shane was great. We met a few wedding photographers and knew as soon as we met Shane he was perfect for us. He matched our style and vibe, and was totally in sync with us about capturing candid moments and the overall feeling of the day.

He and his staff were very easy to work with. Shane arrived right on time to take pictures with the bride, bridesmaids and moms. He was so relaxed and made a hectic morning a little less hectic! His girlfriend Meg took pictures with the guys, she was great to have around and they really enjoyed working with her. Both Shane and Meg are clearly very experienced and have a calming nature about them which definitely was appreciated on our wedding day.

The pictures from the whole day were beautiful and we can't believe how good Shane made us look! He even got some great photos at the end of the night on the beach with sparklers! We received a link to the photos quicker than we expected after the event. Shane clearly spent extra time organizing them by type (bride & groom, ceremony details, cocktail hour, etc) which made for easy viewing online. We also love that we can download them from the website and share the files without a watermark. We highly recommend Shane and can't stress enough how happy we are with how he captured one of the best days of our lives.

I absolutely cannot say enough great things about Shane and Meg! They were the best thing we booked for our wedding day and engagement photos. We did some engagement photos in Houston that did not go so well, luckily Shane was available on a last minute trip up north to save the day. His laid back demeanor is something that is so calming on what can be a very stressful day. He and Meg are very professional and extremely efficient, there was not a minute wasted with them. I would HIGHLY suggest using their services!

Shane did such an amazing job photographing our wedding! He was the first and only photographer we met with and we knew right from the beginning when we saw his work that we were going to choose him and we were not disappointed! He had the timing of the day down perfectly, and he has a great eye for capturing natural looking photos that are so beautiful and classic. He's so easy to work with, we had such a great time and I would recommend him to anyone. We would love to work with him again sometime!

My wife and I simply couldn't recommend Shane any more highly! From the moment we first met him, we knew that he (and Meg!) were the right people for us. Shane made it feel like we just had two more friends at our wedding who happened to be amazing photographers. Shane also did our engagement photos, which came out amazing (and even ended up in the NY Times with our wedding announcement!)

We're definitely recommending Shane and Meg to all of our friends getting married in the Boston area (in fact, we first met them at a friend's wedding). Book them early, because I don't think they are going to have much availability.

Shane Godfrey was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding. Really. I interviewed a bunch of photographers (my husband was ready to kill me), and fully looked through not just their blog photos but full sets of wedding photos and was blown away by Shane's work. When first looking I was having serious anxiety because this is such a huge decision as it's all you are left with at the end of the day. Most others had really good photos they used for their show photos or blog, but all the rest left much to be desired. During our first meeting, my husband and I asked the standard questions, but one of his answers sticks out in my head. I asked, how many photos he edits. He said he mainly does color correction and some lighting editing but that's really it. I asked if he would be willing to do more if we requested and he said sure, but he doesn't usually ever have to because he went to school for photography and knows how to use lighting and camera settings to capture the best photos that don't need much editing.

I typically never like many photos of myself - I'm always doing awkward movements, but I can honestly say out of 800+ photos there is not one that I do not absolutely love. He captured every moment of our wedding so beautiful and I have received so many comments from people about how amazing the photos are. He and Meg are also so easy to work with, and not intrusive at all, and actually I completely even forgot they were there and didn't notice them at all. At the end of the night, I was actually nervous thinking they didn't get any photos of me because I didn't see them all night. That was not the case, they got every single moment. He kept everything moving along and made sure we stayed on time and did not run late.The only issue with them is I have too many amazing photos to choose from and not enough space in a photo album.

Our wedding photos came out beautifully! I highly recommend Shane Godfrey. He is very a skilled and talent photographer and knew how to capture the light and use different angles to get great shots. He made me feel comfortable on the wedding day and he accommodated our many requests, including a large family group shot. The turnaround time on the photos was great too. Thanks Shane!

Shane was a joy to work with! He and his team were timely, professional but also seemed to enjoy their jobs and be able to have fun. My husband and I aren't very serious so we appreciated that they had fun with the photography. Shane was attentive without being intrusive and completely understood our vision and preferences. His prices were very reasonable and the turnaround on the photos was exactly 2 weeks which was pretty amazing (especially considering how many different family photos we had!). Thanks to Shane, highly recommend!

My husband and I were so happy to have Shane photograph our December wedding. We knew Shane's work from my brother's wedding 2 years prior and after doing some research, we knew we had to book him. Shane was completely accommodating of our busy work schedule's leading up to our wedding. The day of, Shane made us feel relaxed, which resulted in beautiful pictures. Shane is an amazing photographer and we were thrilled with both our engagement and wedding photos. He captured our special moments perfectly - from getting ready, the first look, reading our vows and then dancing and partying with our family and friends! We have so many photos that we love, we're having a hard time choosing which ones we want to frame and include in our photo album. Shane and his team were professional, accommodating and knew how to take charge and get the job done so we stuck to schedule and were able to capture all of the shots we wanted. Shane is the best. He was the perfect photographer for our wedding. He was so easy to work with, laid back, very knowledgeable, with helpful suggestions but more than willing to go with the requests I had. Him and his second shooter Meg captured every shot, put everyone at ease, and truly captured our wedding day. There were so many photographs of every small detail, even down to the amazing shoes the groom's mother was wearing. I forgot that there were even pictures being taken throughout the evening! Shane also helped calm my nerves and kept the evening moving from moment to moment. The pictures were done and up for guests within a week. We are so happy with the photographs and continue to get compliments from our guests. Truly wonderful.

Working with Shane was amazing. He took both our engagement photos and was also there with us for the entire day of our wedding. From the minute we sat down with him to talk about our day, I knew that he was the photographer we had to go with. Working with Shane was just a great experience. He is easygoing, laid back, got along with everyone and takes amazing photos.

I didn't want the typical posed wedding portraits and with Shane, we got so many unique pictures that I am absolutely in love with. He was extremely flexible and was able to quickly adapt to the circumstances of our extremely raining wedding day and deliver some amazing shots. Everyone has said how much they love our pictures and how unique they are. They were especially impressed with all the amazing candid moments that Shane and his team were able to capture.

We really wish we could rate Shane more than 5 stars!!

We had no doubt that we wanted him to take a part in our wedding at the moment we met for the first time. His sincerely genuine character immediately set us at ease and we really enjoyed his point of view and passion for his work, not to mention his pictures are just absolutely stunning.

On the day of our wedding, Shane and Meg were both very professional but even better presence to have around. They were very calming but up beat and got along with absolutely everyone. Shane knew everything there is to know about the wedding, from how to walk/carry your dress to a run down of how the day should run. He even helped us pick earrings for a bridesmaid! As a bride, having Shane around was such a blessing and I could not have gone through the day as well without him. He was very engaging with the guests, even our family from abroad who spoke little-to-no English. Everyone was raving about them even weeks after the wedding! The photos came back within 3 weeks after the wedding and we could not be happier with the end product. We’ve heard countless compliments on how stunning every single picture is. We are very lucky and blessed to have had a chance to work with a great photographer like Shane and to have amazing pictures to remind us of our happiest day.

We picked Shane for our wedding photography after a LOT of research and desire to have truly unique photos. We didn't want a lot of "posing" photos but wanted more creative, candid photos. We got exactly what we asked for, and more. From the moment Shane arrived at the house where we were getting ready, he was helping with the veil, cracking jokes with my family, and just generally fitting in as part of the party. He was a blast to be around.

Our photos arrived less than 3 weeks later, and are absolutely stunning. My favorite photos are ones that I haven't seen on other wedding websites or pinterest...ever. He is so creative and the fun of our day is expressed in each photo.

All in all, we couldn't have been happier to have chosen Shane to shoot our wedding...he comes HIGHLY recommended!!

Photography was at the top of our list, so it was the first thing we looked into after getting engaged. My husband and I wanted someone who could tell our story and capture the moment- someone who viewed photography as an art and not a job.

Enter Shane Godfrey. From our very first meeting in a small bar in Somerville, we knew Shane was our guy. His laid-back approach combined with the passion he has for his work and extreme knowledge is a winning combination.

Shane has photographed both our engagement and wedding- and his work truly showcases who we are as a couple. We loved having Shane as our photographer! From the first meeting we felt relaxed with him and confident in his abilities. The pictures he took of us for both our engagement and wedding are amazing. After researching several photographers, a friend of a friend recommended Shane. We immediately loved his style and vision and actually pushed our (tentative) wedding date back a week to select a day he was available. Planning from a distance was a snap, as he was willing to chat over the phone or skype. He also was flexible in meeting us in person before the wedding when we were home in New England for the holidays.

I'm passionate about photography and knew this would be one of the few lasting pieces of our wedding day, which would capture the memories for a lifetime. I fully trusted his artistic vision (thank goodness, the last thing you want to worry about is photography!) and he exceeded our expectations. He is a calming, practical presence (I received a quick, effective lesson in how to walk in a big dress). As the day unfolded, our events progressed more slowly than we had planned, and fortunately Shane stuck around to the end.

We highly recommend him, you'll be very pleased with the results!

Shane was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day. It's safe to say I did a LOT of research(/stalking) before we met with Shane before booking him. We knew that he'd be great to have at the wedding after our wonderful (and fun!) engagement photos, but I didn't realize how amazing the photos would actually be! Our wedding was absolutely perfect and Shane conveyed the mood, atmosphere, and experience through still frames...incredible. When we were sent the photos to download (less than two weeks after the wedding), I was so impressed with the various angles and styles. I had no idea Shane and Meg were even around most of the time (but when they were, it was such a happy and fun experience--they were like guests!) It was an extremely humid day (not a bride's favorite way to start a day), but Shane kept us calm, kept the mood light, got strangers out of the way, and got us through the necessary outdoor photos quickly so I could get back to the AC...:) And now to plan more events so I can hire Shane Godfrey Photography once again!

Outstanding! It look me a long time to find a photographer I really liked as it seemed everyone around Boston took photos that were stuffy, cheesy and just not what we were going for. I was so happy to find Shane and even happier when we met him. Shane was down to earth, approachable and really easy to be around the day of our wedding. He and his crew managed to capture everything we would have wanted, often without us even realizing they were there.They work quickly too which is great because it allowed us to enjoy so much of the day. We couldn't be happier with our photos (both portraits and candids), they came out beautifully have exactly the "feel" we wanted them to. I already knew I wanted to hire Shane the moment I was engaged, because I had gone to photography school with him and knew his work was amazing. My wedding photography was the main concern of mine, being the part that holds the memories and tells the story for years to come. Shane Godfrey is the best of the best. When my husband and I first met Shane to discuss our wedding and see if he was a good fit, I instantly knew he was the perfect person to capture our day. He was so easy going and kind and through our conversation I realized how smart and creative he was. I knew that on such a big day filled with so many different emotions, Shane would put me at ease and make the pictures one of the easiest and enjoyable parts of the day!

The day of our wedding couldn't have gone better. Shane was so easy to work with, as was Meg. He knew that my husband and I wanted to be a part of our cocktail hour and finish our pictures beforehand, and we got all the shots done in plenty of time. Shane makes the process feel very natural. During the reception, Shane and Meg were all over the dance floor getting great shots of the party. He never pulled us away from our reception to get more pictures and we were able to be a part of every minute of our wedding.

Just over a week after our wedding, the prints were posted. I was overjoyed with how the pictures came out. Everyone I have talked to that has looked at them has said the same thing: they tell a story and they capture every moment you would want to remember. I've had so much fun going through them and re-living that day. Shane's vision and skill is top-notch and he is an absolute professional. My husband and I are so glad we chose Shane to photograph the most important day of our lives, and are so happy we have his wonderful photographs to remember it forever. Shane and his team had previously worked with our family, so we knew hiring him would provide the best photography possible. As soon as his team arrived they went above and beyond to assist with the little details. He made sure that we got every shot we wanted, but also took so many candids that truly capture the day. Shane and his team worked great with all members of the family As soon as we received our wedding photos we could not stop looking through them and smiling at every one. Shane came highly recommended from many people and we were able to see him work firsthand at a friends wedding before ours. After seeing how he worked we knew we wanted to book him. Shane is calm, attentive, professional and easy to be around.

When our wedding day came, Shane was amazing. He kept a calm and light- hearted demeanor before the ceremony which was greatly appreciated since those tend to be the most tense moments. When the time came to take group photos in a public area, Shane kept everyone in the background moving to ensure that they would not interfere with a picture. We had many photos that we wanted and he was able to get through them with enough time to get additional bride and groom shots AND be at cocktail hour on time.

He captured every single moment of the day and then some! He stayed late into the night, despite the fact that he had already been there 10 hours to not miss any moment.

When the photos were complete, we were astounded. We knew he had captured great moments but it was beyond words once we actually saw his work. He has an amazing eye and didnt miss a beat.

An added bonus to all of this is that we knew Shane shot more than 8000 photos on our wedding day and he had edited them down in 2 weeks! It took us hours to go through all the pictures so we could not imagine how much time he put into editing after our wedding to get us the shots in such a timely fashion.

We would recommend Shane highly. You will not be disappointed with booking him!

We had Shane's colleagues, Jared and Rob shoot our wedding and they were phenomenal! They were organized and efficient in getting the formal photos and blended easily into the crowd for candids. Our photos were available quickly and are absolutely beautiful! The whole process was easy and enjoyable, from the first meeting with Shane to the numerous emails back and forth and finally the finished product. I would highly recommend Shane Godfrey Photography!

From the moment we met Shane we were impressed by his professionalism and attention to detail. Planning a wedding can be a VERY stressful experience.

The preparation including the venue, menus, stationary, dress, the cat-like herding of the family & friends, primping and beautify, and endless other details all resulted in the the shortest and most magical whirlwind of a glorious 12 hours (not including after party) period I've ever experienced.

We didn't have a wedding party so we only wanted to have a few important semi-formal family photos. Our focus was to capture the candid moments of absolute JOY & FUN of the occasion, which Shane & Co did perfectly!

Shane is low key, easy to talk to, and most importantly, has a FANTASTIC end product. He understands your vision (or maybe sometimes lack-there-of) and delivers!

Easy to work with with excellent results! Thank you Shane!

Shane and Meg are phenomenally talented and incredible to work with. As a pretty "laid back" bride, my pictures were very important to me and I had full faith in Shane's work. His pictures capture the moments that you never want to forget and he has a clever eye for those sincere, unstaged moments. His photos are truly works of fine art photography. He had the groom and I in and out of our photo sesh in 20 minutes so we could enjoy the wedding. He hauled my ridiculously big dress around for me, and made me look like a Vogue model. What else could you ask for in a wedding photographer?

Shane was wonderful to work with, and most importantly, his photographs are amazing. He did my daughter's engagement photos and they were beautiful. On the wedding day, he managed to capture every special moment while staying in the background. Shane (and Meg!) were outstanding for our wedding on October 4th! Shane shot our engagement photos in February and we loved them, making us even more excited for our wedding pictures. Shane and Meg made our wedding day absolutely flawless, all of the pictures we have seen have been STUNNING thus far!

We live in Los Angeles but were getting married in Boston so I had to really rely heavily on samples of work for almost every vendor. Shane's website and pictures really stood out over all the others. His style is so beautiful and he captures moments and details in a way I didn't see on other sites.He responded so quickly and made it very easy to start the process of booking him from so far away. He is very detail oriented and makes it so you don't have to worry about him and his partner on the day of at all. He gets all the info he needs so that on your day he doesn't have to ask you any questions. His partner was also so amazing and she captured things from angles you wouldn't even think of. Along with pictures from the entire day, she took pictures of the guys all getting ready and going to the church that came out so beautifully.
One of the most important things to me was having someone who actually knew what they were doing and could do it quickly. I've been working in the modeling and entertainment industry in Los Angeles for over 9 years and it's really obvious who is an actual photographer and who just went out and bought a nice camera and decided to shoot to make some money. I've been to so many weddings where the photographer is constantly having to adjust the camera and re check their light etc. to a point where you start to wonder how long they've been shooting professionally. The minute you meet Shane and he starts shooting, there's not a doubt that he knows exactly what he's doing. He organized the group and family photos so fast and the result was amazing. The rest of the time you hardly know he's there. The candid pictures are like a surprise because you didn't know they were being taken. I can't say enough about what a pleasure it was to have him and his partner shoot the most important day of our lives together. He goes beyond your expectations

From our first Skype conversation with Shane, we had a great feeling about him. We were planning from across the country and he was more than accommodating about scheduling times to talk that would work for us. He answered our many, many questions patiently and was extremely knowledgeable and professional. It was so helpful to be able to communicate with Shane by email and I was completely confident going into our wedding day that everything related to our photography would go smoothly.

From the moment Shane arrived at the hotel on our wedding day, I was beyond impressed. His attention to detail - from trimming loose threads on dresses, to giving my bridesmaids a quick tutorial on how to hold their flowers - was exceptional. The girls also had a great time with him and were talking for weeks after the wedding about how much fun they had with the photos. In addition to all of this, he still managed to keep everything running on time and everyone where they were supposed to be. Shane had a seemingly magical way of making everything just flow and was never at all intrusive (as I know some wedding photographers can be).

Now the photos themselves, of course we expected to be amazing, but they honestly went above and beyond our highest expectations. From the first glimpse we had on the digital screen on one of Shane's cameras, we could tell they were going to be AWESOME. When the digital versions were available online just 10 DAYS after our wedding, we were blown away. Since receiving our photos, I have had countess friends, co-workers, friends of friends,...random people ask me about our photographer. It's no wonder he books up so quickly! We would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for gorgeous wedding photos by a photographer who is fantastic to work with!

If you are looking for a all around amazing photographer, you should work with Shane. He is extremely easy to work with pre wedding and has so many good suggestions that as a novice to wedding planning, came in so handy to me. On our wedding day he made taking all of our family photos and wedding party photos seem so easy and so quick without forgoing quality! Now that I have received the final product, I couldnt be any happier with the pictures. He not only captured all of the important moments of our wedding but all the tiny wedding details that were so important (not to mention time consuming) to my husband and I to have displayed at the wedding. I would recommend Shane to all my friends and family to use for their wedding day.

Shane was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. We hired him from a distance-- we were planning our Berkshires wedding from San Francisco-- but from our first Skype call it was clear that he was the right guy for us. He's totally down-to-earth and straightforward; you get no wedding upsell with him. Because we lived so far away, we didn't get to meet him and Meg until the day of the wedding, but immediately felt like he was a friend. He blended right in with our guests and was admirably calm and reassuring when we had torrential thunderstorms and a tornado warning! He is very socially fluid and seemed to know just how to interact with everyone from my parents and grandparents to my girlfriends while we were all getting dressed to the other vendors.

We wanted to prioritize photos that captured the spontaneous moments of the day over formal portraits and he did just that. Shane was the epitome of easy to work with, from his obvious and impressive knowledge about all things wedding (including makeup names and brands, and how to remove a window valence for pictures) to capturing all of the perfect shots we wanted, and those we didn't even know we wanted. I always felt comfortable and happy when Shane was shooting our photos, never nervous or forced. In fact,most the time I found myself laughing and relaxed as Shane just snapped away! The result is that our pictures look like they belong in a movie or high-fashion magazine...they are absolutely stunning! Most the time I didn't even know Shane was there - he was a complete chameleon. When he had to organize group shots he was sweet and efficient about it. Shane captured both the elegance and the fun spirit of our wedding perfectly. I wish I could better put into words how wonderful he is, and how amazing his work product is. The best advice I had received in choosing a photographer was to pick someone you feel comfortable with, and who you would like to have as a guest at your wedding. Shane was these things and more. I highly recommend Shane - both as a person and as a photographer.

If you have the chance to book Shane for your wedding and don’t, you are making a mistake. The pictures he took of my wedding are absolutely amazing. I have received so many compliments and many people were surprised at how high quality all of the pictures are. He got all of my “must have pictures” and caught so many details of my wedding that I did not even notice myself. I could not be happier with the pictures (and I am a perfectionist).

Just as important, Shane is incredibly easy to work with. I am generally a high stress person but he totally put me at ease. He did everything from showing me how to walk in my wedding dress to doing up the buttons on my dress when my bridesmaids were having a hard time! Shane literally does everything. He was also super fast on posting my pictures, we were married Saturday and he had them up on Wednesday evening. A lot of my married friends were astonished at how fast the pictures were available. I cannot recommend him enough!

Shane was absolutely wonderful to work with. When we met up with him for the first time, he answered all our questions before we even asked them. My husband was conserned that a photographer would be bossy, conspicuous, and slow. On the day of, we didn't even notice Shane was there, the formals went so quickly, and Shane was so easy going and delightful. The photography was something that we wanted to invest in because it's the one thing that lasts, and the pictures we got back make the wedding look even better than it looked in real life!

Working with Shane was an absolute pleasure. He is professional, creative and fun. My husband and I met with him for the first time the week before the weeding and immediately knew we had found someone special. I want to preface this with saying that there is 100% not enough room here to write all of the wonderful things that I have to say about Shane Godfrey Photography! When my now husband and I started looking at possible wedding photographers for our wedding, we were understandably worried about finding the perfect photographer for our event. So many of the photographers that we looked at just didn't capture pictures that really spoke to us and what we wanted captured on our Big Day. But then we found Shane on The Knot and fell in love with his work. Not only does Shane do absolutely incredible work but he is also such a wonderful person. My now husband and I met with him in advance and he immediately put us at ease about our decision. He is an extremely gifted and talented photographer and yet he also takes your opinions and what you would like photographed 100% into account without having to ask twice. It was as simple as giving him a list of desired pictures and we literally got a picture of everything that we asked for and so much more. When Shane and his assistant got to our home that day to take getting ready pictures it was such a natural process, and while people can be funny about posing for pictures they made us feel like we were old pro's. They were extremely fun to deal with and kept the atmosphere light and enjoyable. Even though we had multiple stops that we wanted to make for different photograph locations, nothing was a problem. Shane and his assistant literally worked all day taking photos and they are all incredible. We literally love every single one of them. The photography that they delivered, the value that they gave us, and the experience combined, cannot be duplicated. We did sooooo much research about wedding photography that I know for a fact we really lucked out hiring Shane. Even our guests have not stopped raving about the photographers at our wedding, how much fun they were, and how easy they were to work with!!

Shane did both our wedding and engagement photos. He did such a fabulous job capturing all the little moments that, as a bride, I would have otherwise missed. He and his partner were very professional, friendly and honestly, half the time I had no idea they were even there! I was so surprised by some of the ceremony pictures because they were both very discrete and allowed the moments to happen and be natural. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for beautiful pictures of their big day! He organized us wonderfully and photographed everyone and everything that we asked. Shane came recommended to my husband and I from a photographer friend and he did not disappoint. We hired him as our wedding photographer and his professionalism and attention to detail are second to none. He has a great eye, devotes the day to you, and is unobtrusive while still getting those intimate shots that really make remembering that day special. His website for viewing pictures afterwards in very easy to use and he has a variety of options for albums of prints. His rate is very reasonable, especially given that he devotes the day to your event; with us, he and his assistant Meg, were with us from getting ready into the reception, cutting the cake, etc.

I absolutely 100% recommend Shane for your special day, he was awesome!

I can't write enough kind words about Shane Godfrey! We were married July 22, 2012 and Shane captured every special moment of our wedding. Shane has all the ideal qualities of a wedding photographer. First and foremost, he is SO talented! I received my photos a few weeks ago (only 2 weeks after the wedding!), and I can't stop looking at them. A few times during the wedding, he would show us the photo he just took, and I struggled to even find the frame that he had used! In addition to his talents, he is incredibly nice and easy to be around. In the bridal suite getting ready, palpable anxiety in the air, Shane made me feel at ease. His pricing is very fair; you can customize your package accordingly. He also stays for the entire wedding, included in his price. We also loved his natural style. Shane does not often move things around or tell people where to go or what to do for a shot, which I find a bit artificial. Rather, he quietly waits for the shot and somehow manages to create perfect images. I cannot say enough good things about Shane! I recommend him without reservation.

I was lucky enough to have found Shane and have do both my engagement photos and my wedding. As soon as I met with him and saw his work both myself and my husband new that he was the photographer for us! When we got our engagement pictures back they were so beautiful I couldn't wait to see how our wedding pictures would turn out. I don't think I realized how important the choice of photographer was until I spent my day with Shane and Meg. From the moment they stepped into my bridal suite I knew I had made the right choice. While Meg went to take shots of my soon to be husband getting ready, Shane started capturing the beginning of many detailed shots that documented this important day. He immediately put me at ease as he unobtrusively snapped away as the finishing touches were being put on our hair and make up. I don't want to bore you, so I am not going to detail the entire day. All you need to know is that we never stood around waiting for Shane to get the shot. His efficiency helped our day move along smoothly. He guided us to take traditional shots with the family, and then stunning unexpected shots of Andrew and I. The candid shots he took are full of life and movement, capturing not only the moments but the feelings behind them. He was easy going, receptive to our ideas, and even managed to wrangle 50+ members of my Mom's family for a family portrait during the reception. I am not only thrilled with the 1,000+ pictures I received online, but the promptness with which they were delivered. His shots are breathtaking, but his involvement in our day was even more important. Not only did he know the perfect backdrops for photos, but he can also crack a hilarious joke and help your bridesmaids figure out that bustle. You literally spend all day with your photographer and trust me when I say you want to spend it with Shane.

Where does one begin when they are completely and utterly blown away by another's talent? Shane shot our wedding this past June 23, 2012 and we couldn't have been more pleased, comfortable, amazed and happy with his work. He captured every moment perfectly and what's more? You wouldn't even know he was there aside from the slight shutter sound of the camera. Professional, laid back, open to requests, talented, confident, completely easy going which I might add is always nice to have especially while getting ready for a wedding. As my husband and I look at our pictures, we constantly attest several of the pictures taken look as though they belong in a magazine! Our favorite pictures are ones he suggested we take and also the fabulous candids he so subtly took while we were getting ready, at the ceremony and at the reception. My husband and I got married in April and could not have been happier with the services of Shane Godfrey Photography. Shane had come recommended to us by a friend who hired him for her wedding. I knew from the moment I looked at the pictures on his website that I wanted him to photograph ours. After meeting with him to discuss the details my husband and I knew there was no doubt that we had to have him. Originally the price for his services were a little out of our budget, but he was willing to shoot the wedding without a second photographer to work within our budget. The results turned out so well that you would never know there wasn't a second photographer.

From the first meeting all the way through the process of photographing the wedding and getting the pictures on the website Shane was a fantastic mix of laid back and complete professional. During the ceremony he got amazing pictures but was never in the way, for the formal pictures he was efficient but never demanding, and during the reception he was a ton of fun and captured some great moments. Because we had a day wedding we planned to do have an activity after the wedding. We went bowling at a nearby bowling alley with our bridal party and many guests. We mentioned this to Shane during the reception (forgot to tell him ahead of time) and he came for a bit and took some of the best pictures of the night.

Overall I could not be more satisfied with the event or the pictures that we got from it. If you are looking for a great experience and amazing pictures to remember it by, go with Shane Godfrey Photography. Our wedding guests cannot stop talking about how amazing our photographer was and everyone I have shown our pictures to is incredibly impressed.

Shane was incredible! From our first email encounter, he was completely responsive and honest. When my husband and I met with him, we could not have been more comfortable talking with him and discussing our vision for the wedding. Leading up to the day of the wedding, he was easy to approach with questions and flexible with our plan. Shane is a fantastic photographer with a creative eye and artful approach to making wedding pictures timeless. I love Shane's
price structure as well. Forget about 6 hours = this price, 8 hours = this price. We already have enough stress and don't want to think about "how much time will we need our photographer?" Shane is about quality - a flat fee for the day. I think I need to repeat that, "A FLAT FEE for the day! You will not find that with anyone else - it is an amazing deal and the best way to go about it. During your special day, you don't want to think about, "oh, we only have 1 hour left with the photographer, we better get this shot." He is with you beginning to end - now that's priceless! During the wedding day, he was easy going and efficient. The family and bridal party shots were quick and organized - he did a fantastic job organizing everyone and ensuring we got all the pics we requested. I felt really comfortable with Shane and that is the most important thing! On the day when you get the most pictures of your life taken of you - you want to ensure you feel comfortable and that way you will look comfortable and happy in the photos. Bottom line, Shane is fantastic - one of the best decisions I made in my wedding planning. Highly recommended - you will be so happy you hired him!

My husband and I cannot say enough good things about Shane!! He put us at ease from the first moment we met him, which was great, because my husband usually hates having his picture taken. Shane is very professional, willing to work with you for whatever you need, and has no hidden fees! He was great at connecting with all our guests as well, and got lots of great candid shots, in addition to gorgeous traditional portraits. We have gotten SO many compliments on our pictures. Not only are they beautiful, but they really capture all the emotions of the day! And to top it all off, all his packages are a great value!

Shane was so wonderful to work with!! Before the wedding, we met with him to get to know him and tell him about ourselves and what we were looking for in our photographer. We told him of our vision for our wedding and the photographs of it and we instantly connected. He was on the same page as us in regards to providing more candid shots, which we had asked for, but he also knew the need to have the standard formal pictures for the families. My husband and I got married about four weeks ago and our guests are still raving about our photographer, Shane Godfrey. We couldn’t have asked for a better portfolio of pictures. The only thing better than our wedding itself was being able to revisit all of those great memories through our wedding photos. Shane was the first, and last, photographer my husband and I met with. As soon as we met him, we knew he was the one! Not only was he professional, he was very polite and kind and didn’t make us feel like he was trying to sell us his product. The pictures he showed us sold themselves! We had an engagement session with him, which I would strongly recommend as a camera shy couple. We got a really good feel of how Shane worked, so we were more comfortable around the camera when it came to the big day. He got the pictures to us very quickly and they turned out wonderful. The day of the wedding, both Shane and his helper Dan, were shooting and made everyone feel at ease. From the moment they started they fit right in with everyone, and it soon felt as though there were no photographers at all. He has a way of blending in with the crowd so he can capture all of the candid shots that we hoped for. Since our wedding we have heard countless complements on Shane, as well as the photos. He was a joy to work with and we could not be more pleased with our wedding photos.

We had such a great experience with Shane! When looking for a wedding photographer, I was initial very nervous. I wanted the pictures to look perfect and was afraid as I am a camera shy person. After I met Shane, I was immediately comfortable. Shane is relaxed and flexible, he remained unobtrusive during our ceremony and reception; but even more importantly he seemed to get absolutely everything on film. There was a very quick turnover between the wedding and when I and all my guests got to see the photos (less than two weeks) and I have received rave reviews since. The pictures came out absolutely beautifully and I could not imagine being happier with my wedding photos. Thanks Shane!!!

Shane is an excellent photographer! And he is an excellent wedding photographer. Both my husband and I felt very comfortable working with him from the very start. I had spoken with a couple other photographers before finding Shane, and I had felt there was pressure to purchase a larger photography package than would fit our needs. I never felt that from Shane--he is a soft sell, and I really appreciated that!

Selecting a photographer to capture your wedding day is an important decision. I wanted someone who would take great photos, which for me meant a bit of a journalistic approach, good candids, nothing too contrived. I wanted the photos to feel natural. I also wanted someone I would feel comfortable interacting with. Not only did Shane capture really great shots, but he was such a pleasure to work with!

Shane is also very flexible and will listen to what you want. For example, I once was told by a wedding photographer that he "doesn't do" the wedding photo where the entire bridal party simultaneously jumps in the air (you know the one). Although I didn't have a problem with forgoing that particular photo (I was, afterall, looking for something more natural), I knew I wanted to find a photographer who was a little more open minded. Anyhow, if you want the wedding photo where the entire bridal party jumps simultaneously in the air, Shane will capture it for you--gladly! Shane is a rare combination of being a great artist without pretensiousness.

I wholeheartedly recommend Shane and would hire him again in a heart beat. Thanks for doing such a great job and for making the whole process as enjoyable as possible. Cheers!

Shane was wonderful! He knew exactly what he was doing-Thank god because I did not! He was very professional, courteous, and attentive. He was flexible with the requests for certain pictures that I wanted. The pictures were back so fast! Everyone loved them. Shane captured my wedding night beautifully. I will have such amazing pictures forever. I would highly recommend Shane!!!!

Shane was the photographer for my wedding in August. He was fantastic! He was professional, curteous and a pleasure to have around--In fact, during the wedding reception a few of my guests commented on how great the photographer was --he always seemed to be in the right place at the right time.

When we got our photographs back--amazingly fast , I might add -- I was blown away by the beauty and variety of images he captured. From the details of the site and the ceremony to the candid shots of our guests, I was incredibly pleased. He managed to capture so many special moments without being obtrusive in the least.

Looking back, one of the quiet highlights of our wedding day was the photoshoot of just me and my husband following the ceremony and formal photographs. My husband has always been uncomfortable and/or annoyed by cameras and posing, but Shane's laid back demeanor kept us completely at ease. We were alone for the first time as a married couple and we walked around the outdoor site for about ten minutes with Shane shadowing and occasionally suggesting stopping points for photos. It was very natural and relaxed and I'm very glad we took that meditative time away for ourselves--plus, the photos were stunning!... Artfully composed and stunning. Thank you Shane!

We didn’t know it at the time, but we were very lucky to book Shane Godfrey for our wedding day photographer. From the initial consultation to the final moments of our wedding reception, Shane provided an extremely high level of professional service. He was personable, polite, and made sure he got the perfect shots without being at all pushy. He was very mindful and respectful of our time during the wedding, and was able to execute great shots within a more than reasonable timeframe. We knew the photos would be great, but when we saw our wedding photos, we were overwhelmingly happy with the final product. Shane exceeded our high expectations, and we whole-heartedly recommend him for any event or occasion.

Shane did such an amazing job at our wedding on July 17th, 2010. And my husband and I cannot recommend him enough. I'm also into wedding photography, so it was very hard for me to find someone who would be able to capture all aspects of our wedding in a truly unique style. Being in a role of a bride was completely different experience for me, yet with Shane and my second photographer's help I knew that we were in good hands. It was very easy to work with Shane, and I knew exactly what he had to go though, yet he executed all tasks flawlessly. He arrived on time, always smiled and kept our whole bridal party relaxed and in a good spirit. Shane followed our every step, and not a single moment was missed. He has a very easy working approach and I almost wanted him to tell me exactly what to do in certain instances, but he just let us enjoy our day, which is precisely how the wedding day should be like. If you still undecided, stop your search right here, Shane is really an amazing, full time dedicated photographer and I guarantee that you'd be blown away when you see your wedding pictures. He communicates and texts instantly, he uses high end digital cameras and lenses. We absolutely had an awesome time having Shane as our vendor! Thank you Shane, plus a million! You truly made our day magical and memorable and now I have wonderful images to show everyone and put them together in an album, which I know will be fabulous!! Beautiful pictures!
Shane photographed my wedding in May 2010 and he did a fabulous job. Not only is he professional and amazingly easy to work with, but the quality of his work is second to none. He was able to capture every moment while being completely unobtrusive. I would thoroughly recommend him. If you are looking for a top quality photographer who will listen to what you want and deliver then look no further!

We booked Shane for our wedding and could not be happier with our pictures. He was very professional and took great pictures of every aspect of our wedding! It was a joy to look through them and see things that we had missed during the busy day! Every picture came out great. He did an amazing job! Book him for your wedding, you will not be disappointed!

We were drawn to Shane's work for his incredible talent and artistry. He was happy to tailor his services appropriately for our small ceremony. His efficiency and professionalism were evident throughout the entire day. Even though our venue was on the smaller side, we were impressed by all of the compositional framings he found. He captured so many perfect moments of our friends and family. We could not be happier with the results!

Shane was amazing. He was the first photographer we met with and are so happy that we went with him. His professionalism and attention to detail are like no other (he even helped pin the boutonnieres on the groomsmen!). Every single one of the pictures turned out exceptionally well. My husband and i met with a few photographers before having Shane recommended to us. We loved him from the minute we met him! He was laid back, easy going, with that said he was very professional and you could just tell he had such a passion for photography and had a lot of knowledge around photography.! We did not want a photographer that would spend all our time taking portraits of us, friends and family members. Instead Shane and his assistant photographer as well as an intern, captured lots of candid shots as well as action shots! He was so easy to work with and always available via email! We had a lot of fun working with Shane and the other photographers on the day of our wedding as well. He made us feel relaxed and by doing that we were able to get some great shots! I would definitely recommend Shane to any couple that is looking to use him as their wedding photographer!

Shane KNOWS weddings.

We hired Shane for his gorgeous portfolio, his stellar reputation and his established relationship with our venue, but we got so much more than great photography. His direction on our wedding day helped us maintain our sanity, our ease and our sense of humor, all leading to us having an incredibly enjoyable wedding experience. He and his partner Meg managed to be unobtrusive while also providing super helpful guidance when we needed it.
Shane captures the feelings of your wedding day; we loved how our photos reflected our authentic joy, and didn't feel stiff or formal as wedding photos can sometimes appear. We highly recommend hiring Shane for a professional, enjoyable wedding photography experience!

Shane was, in one word, incredible. Not only was he warm, friendly, flexible and professional, the pictures he took were UNBELIEVABLE. They were modern, sophisticated, perfectly lit, not super "posed" - I could go on and on. He also approached the whole process with an amazing attitude and was a joy to work with. If you have the chance to book him, DO IT and never look back :)

We're ridiculously happy with Shane's work photographing our wedding. From the first meeting with him, it was clear that he's an incredibly careful, detail-oriented photographer, an organized, responsible business owner and an extremely fun, laid-back, easy-to-work-with person, all at the same time. All of those things very much held true! He knew exactly what he was doing at every level and at every point in the process. He made it easy to relax and know that our photos were in good hands. He made the whole experience fun and easy, and the camera never felt intrusive or disruptive -- we only knew he was there when he was helping out in some way. We got our photos two weeks after the wedding (even accounting for his going on vacation during that time), and they're beautiful. He caught so many moments at just the right time, both fun and romantic. Even after going through them two or three times, we're still finding new ones to get excited about. He has our enthusiastic recommendation!
