Thank You Shale Hill!!
We can’t thank Shale Hill Events enough for making our tented backyard wedding absolutely perfect. I worked closely with Brianne, who was our point person throughout the planning process. Her expertise, warmth, and organization made such a difference—she truly took the time to understand our vision and helped bring it to life with ease and care.
On the day of the wedding, Lisa from the Shale Hill Events team was onsite and was an absolute rockstar. She managed the staff with calm confidence, handled the behind-the-scenes logistics, and worked closely with our planner to make sure everything stayed on schedule—so that we could be fully present and enjoy every moment without stress. I don’t think we looked at the time once all day, which speaks volumes about how smoothly everything flowed.
From vendor suggestions to layout logistics to all the tiny touches that made the day feel personal, the entire Shale Hill Events team went above and beyond. It truly felt like we had a trusted friend in our corner the entire way through. Our guests are still raving about how magical the celebration was. And the food!! The food was absolutely phenomenal—beautifully presented, thoughtfully curated, and delicious.

Magically romantic
My wife and I were covid brides (postponing our 2020 date) and as many people know, planning a wedding during a pandemic was at times overwhelming. With that said, Jenny and her team were fantastic through the whole two year ordeal. To say our wedding weekend was perfectly magical would be an understatement. It was absolutely flawless...from the rehearsal dinner which was held at Millstream Tavern (owned by Jenny) to the actual wedding day. Our guests are STILL talking about our wedding weeks later. They were speechless, from the venue itself to the overall ambiance (as Jenny knows, I constantly used the words "chic" and "romantic" as my wedding vibe) to the most incredible food. I could not have asked for a more perfect weekend. My only wish is that we were able to relive this weekend just one more time! There are not enough thank you's in the world to say to Jenny and her team to show just how appreciative we truly are! -

Our knights in shining armor!
The Kitchen at Shale Hill team was ABSOLUTELY fantastic in making our wedding dreams come true. We worked with them pre-covid, and they helped us pivot our plans and execute a flawless, gorgeous, and delicious customized farm to table menu to help us celebrate. Their presentation, communication skills, creativeness and kindness are beyond expectations, and more than that - they are the SWEETEST team in the world. We had a great time working with them, getting to know them, and can't wait to work with them again! -

Amazing food! Amazing Quality!
Highly recommend Kitchen at Shale Hill. Food was unbelievable and I received multiple compliments. I thought the service was great and they were really helpful with some of my *picky* eaters :) To my family, food is the most important factor at a wedding, and this was truly quality. Please check them out, you won't regret it!

Beautiful Wedding
What an unbelievable experience. A friend referred me to a "new catering company" in the Hudson Valley when I was trying to plan a wedding on just a few months notice. With that phone call, I got the MOST beautiful venue recommendation, the most delicious gorgeous food (not to mention a ton of options and add ons- yay for after party food trucks) plus some awesome bar options. It was not only an amazing wedding day, but a fantastic party with friends and family with limited stress thanks to the amazing team here. -

Beyond expectations
This team was amazing, the most efficient, helpful and professional staff and owners. Patti's food was some of the best I have ever had, not typical wedding fare but you want to eat there every Saturday night out type of fare. Jenny and Dallas took care of every detail- they set up our rehearsal dinner at a local restaurant, they set up all the details of our bar and the company also catered our morning after brunch at a wonderful local barn. We had so many happy family members and friends and of course my wife and I were thrilled with every aspect.

Wedding at Oz Farm
We had a great experience with Shale Hill for our October Wedding! We are a vegan couple and had a mostly vegan wedding with a few exceptions. Lindsey was our contact throughout our planning process, and also our day of coordinator. She made sure our vegan requests were being honored even when my mom tried to weasel in some non vegan options. Lindsey made sure it was ok with us first before telling my mom yes, which I appreciated. The food was incredible, and guests were raving about it for weeks afterwards. We were really worried about the food being an issue since we both come from heavy meat eating families who are used to a traditional wedding menu, but no one had anything negative to say about the food and people really enjoyed all of it, and made it known! The meal was family style and everything was delicious and plentiful. We had a tasting prior where any options we weren’t crazy about were noted and swapped with something else. I gave 4 stars for responsiveness because there were a few times I reached out to get last minute info. and didn’t get a response, but it was also a crazy wedding season (fall 2021) and I knew everything would fall into place, which it absolutely did. If you hire Shale Hill, they will take care of everything including small details. We would recommend Shale Hill for any type of wedding and hire them again if we ever have a large event!!! -

An absolute pleasure!
The food!! So good!!
Everyone who attended our wedding loved the food and hospitality. The menu had so many options and the caterer was willing to hear our desires and accommodate some guests specific needs.
Lindsey works so hard and she really was the absolute best! The entire team was amazing. trust you are in great hands! -

Perfect Fall Wedding
The Shale Hill Team was amazing-- our day could not have been more perfect. The weather was iffy and they had the perfect back up plan which happened seamlessly, and never felt like it was supposed to be anywhere else. The team was incredibly attentive, ensured all of our guests had plenty to eat and drink and the food was amazing. Lindsey and team were always one step ahead of us and ensured that the day was everything we had hoped for! -

Fall Wedding Feast!
We had such a good experience with the Kitchen at Shale Hill! They were so accommodating with all of our requests and were especially helpful in finding options for our guests with dietary restrictions. Every person we interacted with was so kind, and our guests have not stopped raving about the quality of the food at our wedding! -

Absolutely delicious
Food was amazing and i still get compliments on how delicious everything was and even their partners for alcohol “windmill” in saugerties was excellent and the two make a good team -
