Miss Dana helped make our day so special, and everything about our day was perfect! The food was especially amazing. The venue is beautiful as it is, with the castle feeling, making the event seem enchanted, and the photographs turned out gorgeous, with various backgrounds to enhance the photos. Communication with Miss Dana was easy and she always responded right away. No stressing over details, as she had everything organized and let us just enjoy the perfect day with our loved ones.

A Real-Life Fairy Tale! A Stunning Castle Venue with a World-Class Coordinator
I have always dreamed of getting married in a castle, and Shakespeare’s in Ellwood City made that dream a reality. While the venue itself is breathtaking and regal, it was the staff—specifically the coordinator, Dana—who made our wedding day truly perfect.
Dana is a total professional. From our very first tour, she was incredibly detail-oriented, walking us through every package and keeping us on a strict timeline during the entire planning process. On the day of the wedding, she was a force of nature. She was personally setting up dining room tables in the morning and ensuring every single vendor was perfectly positioned. Because of her, we had zero fear of anything going wrong; we knew we were in the best hands. Even our other vendors went out of their way to tell us how much they love working with her!
Highlights of the Venue & Service:
The Bridal Suite: We spent the morning here for hair and makeup, and Dana ensured we had everything we needed to stay comfortable and pampered.
The Food: While we were too busy celebrating to eat much, our guests haven't stopped raving about the chicken and the pasta—it was a huge hit!
The Legendary Cookie Table: Being from Pittsburgh, the cookie table is a major priority. The event team spent an endless amount of time creating a display so perfect I actually went into the kitchen to personally thank them. It was a masterpiece!
We also have to give a massive shout-out to the bartending staff! They were incredible and truly went above and beyond for us. It’s so easy for the bride and groom to get distracted, but the bartender made sure we both had refills the entire night. We never had to wait or even ask—they were one step ahead of us at every turn. That kind of attentive, personalized service is exactly what makes a wedding feel high-end.

Christmas Wedding
Our off-season, Sunday wedding at Shakespeare's was perfect! Ms. Dana helped us every step of the way and the team was so wonderful. We didn't really need to lift a finger. The room was decorated for us and the cookie table was plated for us. We got so many compliments! The food was delicious (highly recommend the Prime Rib). I highly recommend Shakespeare's. Super easy to work with and a wonderful day.

A fairytale Christmas wedding at the Shakespeare!
I honestly don't even know where to begin. I had a vision for my dream wedding in my head for YEARS. The minute we pulled up to the Shakespeare, I got so many butterflies. This was the first venue we looked at and by the end of the tour with Ms Dana we knew this would be the only venue we'd look at. This was where we were going to have our dream Christmas wedding. Ms Dana was a huge reason why we chose to book this venue immediately. There aren't enough wonderful words in the world to describe her. She is just so full of kindness, positivity, professionalism, knowledge, and warm hugs! I feel like she is part of our family now and needs be at every holiday dinner! Our entire family couldn't say enough good things about her, the venue and the unbelievable food. Our friends and family are still raving about the food. (Highly recommend the Prime Rib!!) We've been planning our wedding for 2 years and in that time we have sent countless emails to Ms Dana bombarding her with so many questions and she was always so quick to respond and very sweet. She eased our mind of any potential stresses we may have had and our entire wedding day went flawlessly and perfectly. It was just absolutely beautiful. It truly felt like something out of a Hallmark movie about a castle Christmas wedding. I had my bridal suite where Christmas music was playing, a beautiful Christmas tree was in it and Ms Dana had a coffee bar, champagne and orange juice set up for my bridesmaids and I! It was the perfect start to the big day. Our ceremony took place outside on their balcony and even though it was a cold December night, they had space heaters set up throughout it and no one even complained about being cold! We even had our rehearsal dinner at the Shakespeare! Sean is the one that helped us get that set up and he was just wonderful! He set us up in our own little private corner of the restaurant that was decorated beautifully and he even created a personalized menu for us. Our friends and family were so impressed with everything at the Shakespeare and I know our wedding will be talked about for years to come, and it's all thanks to Ms Dana and the incredible staff at the Shakespeare.
I know they say nothing is perfect, but our day had to be as close to perfect as it can get!

Shakespeare's Restaurant and Wedding Venue
We recommend this venue very highly. This was our first time planning something of this size, and from the first phone call last year through numerous emails and communications, our event manager made us feel confident everything would be exactly as we hoped, and it was! The manager and staff were amazing, and every single person on staff was so kind, attentive. and professional. The venue is so beautiful and unique, and our guests loved the outdoor seating with fireplaces. We checked many venues, and Shakespeare's was the most reasonable by far. Moreover, you get so much more than you pay for from the staff and a setting unlike any other.

Spectacular!
Our day could not have been more perfect! Shakespeare's Restaurant and Pub was our biggest blessing. When we had lost our original venue we were scared that we would not find another venue that we had liked as much as our original. Shakespeare's blew our original venue out of the water. Dana was the best to work with. When we first met with her we fell in love with her. You could tell she had a passion for what she does and it shows on your wedding day and throughout the entire planning process. She was always very responsive to any questions we had and she was very accommodating to many of our requests. The venue is gorgeous! There are plenty of places on the property to get outstanding pictures. We would HIGHLY recommend Shakespeare's to anyone looking to get married at a unique location and is in need of a Day of Coordinator that is truly there to make your wedding day spectacular!

Magical and Perfect
I had my bridal shower this past weekend and have not stopped hearing compliments! Dana was an absolute dream to work with! Any questions I had or concerns, Dana was right there with a solution and a hug. The staff are absolutely incredible, so kind and welcoming. My fiancée and I were congratulated on our upcoming wedding by each member of staff, multiple times, throughout the event. We decided on the brunch buffet and I think I'll be hearing compliments and rave reviews of the French toast casserole for many years to come. Everything was delicious but the French toast casserole stole the show! Allergies were also very easy to navigate, Dana was able to accommodate celiac disease and wheat allergies. The entire event was so easy to coordinate and plan thanks to the wonderful staff! All we had to do was come in and decorate, the venue and catering were all set for whatever we needed. I would have an event here again in a heartbeat!

Miss Dana is the best!
My husband and I got married yesterday, 9/5/25, at Shakespeare's, and we couldn't be more pleased with everything. The staff is so kind and helpful, and Miss Dana is the absolute best! She handled everything, answered any and all questions promptly, and was just nothing but perfection. The food was phenomenal and the place looked amazing for our reception. The night flew by but it was truly perfect! I couldn't recommend Shakespeare's and Miss Dana enough! Definitely 5 stars and thank you so much Miss D for making our wedding day above and beyond what we could have wanted! You are amazing!

Daughter's Bridal Shower
I would choose this venue again for my daughter's bridal shower or another event. It was easy working with Dana Loftion, the events coordinator. She was attentive to details and responded promptly to my questions. The food was nicely prepared and the staff at our event was courteous and efficient. The champagne for the Mimosa bar was some of the best I have ever had at a venue.

Wonderful Winter Wedding!
We had our wedding here about a month ago now, and it was wonderful! Miss D is amazing and will make everything go smoothly, even if stuff gets crazy (as it will). We really can't thank her enough for everything she did on our wedding night. The venue is gorgeous, the food was amazing, and they let us do all kinds of crazy things to make the night perfect. Shakespeare’s old Stonewall Golf Club..Cranberry Township, PA
Shakespeare’s Old Stonewall was perfect. The venue was beautiful, the Staff excellent and the food beyond reproach. We asked for the filet Mignon to be medium rare and the 95 people that had them said they were outstanding. We also had chicken and fish and both were equally well done and tasty. Dana Loftion is a marvelous event planner. She ran the wedding like clock work and is the most flexible and can do attitude employee around.
This was our only daughter’s choice and she was thrilled with the outcome. We live in Seattle, but the wedding was in Pittsburgh. I felt like Dana was next door! Love love this venue!

Disappointed with the original wedding coordinator because she left and we were not notified. The new coordinator was fantastic from the first phone call to the end of our wedding. Fairy Tale
When you have moments that you can never really get a redo for, you need them to go PERFECT. Shakespeare's made sure I did not need a redo. Dana is the new Event Coordinator for them and she works miracles. The last Coordinator left in the middle of our plans, and left me in tears. Dana picked up the ball and delivered on everything promised and did so much more. She personally handled every question I had. She would offer suggests but never made me feel obligated to use them. The grounds were beautiful! We were upstairs in the ballroom. A private balcony was set up for ceremony that overlooks trees and rolling hills. Peaceful. Private. Quiet. In the castle you feel like it is a fairy tale but the decor in the ballroom leaves you complete control over your own theme. The bar is off on it's own in the ballroom, making it easy to manage with decor or if you wanted a dry event. The food was fantastic! The attendants were polite and well trained. The moved among the guests without disturbing the flow of the event. Linens and set up were as requested. We honestly didn't have a single problem. They worked seamlessly with our vendors to give us a perfect night. Great parking. 40 minutes from Pittsburgh and it was easy to get to but surrounded by nature. If you have an event coming up, take a tour and talk to Dana. This place is a hidden gem.

Castle Wedding
We had always knew we wanted to get married at Shakespeare’s. We loved the castle and medieval touches, and the grounds are beautiful. We had a bit of a rocky start as the coordinator for the venue was difficult to get a hold of. That all changed when Miss D stepped in as the venue coordinator and I cannot rave enough about her and Shakespeare’s. She stepped in and did a phenomenal job. She helped answer all the questions, make sure we had all the details figured out, and during the event she helped everything run smoothly from start to finish. She went above and beyond to help with family things that came up during the reception. She is a gem and Shakespeare’s is so lucky to have her! We are so thankful for her help organizing the wedding. Shakespeare’s served delicious food. The wait staff was extremely professional, but also fun to be around. I received multiple comments from friends and family about how nice and happy the bar tenders and waitstaff were. The venue was beautiful for photos as well. We are so happy that we had our wedding there. Everything was absolutely perfect! We highly recommend!

My wedding at Shakespeare's was amazing! Amanda the coordinator did an amazing job at getting everything organized and running smoothly. When there was a scare that the DJ I had hired might not show up she had another waiting in the wings to save the day. (My Dj did show up but that's another review) the food was excellent and the staff was very attentive. Amanda made sure everything was done and everyone was happy! I can't say enough good things about Shakespeare's! They are very budget friendly and work with you to achieve the wedding of your dreams.

Perfect Wedding
We had our wedding at Shakespeare's in October, and Chelsea (the event coordinator) went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure everything was perfect on our wedding day! I seriously can't praise Chelsea and the staff at Shakespeare's enough. My grandfather (who was our officiant), a man of few words, said it was the most beautiful wedding he had ever been to, and he's been to A LOT of weddings. Everyone had a wonderful time. The food was incredible, the views from our balcony ceremony were stunning, and the reception was the most fun I've had in a long time. People are still talking about what an amazing day it was a month later.
Chelsea made sure everything went smoothly throughout the day, checked in with me often to make sure I was okay and that things were going well, and she spent a lot of time solving issues that weren't even hers to solve. We had quite a bit of trouble with our florist, but Chelsea took the time and effort to make sure even the florists issues didn't stress us out. She did everything she could to make sure we had an incredible time, and we certainly did.
Leading up to the wedding, Chelsea was very quick and clear in answering any questions or concerns we had about the wedding. She took all the stress of planning a wedding away. I knew this year in particular everyone in the wedding business would be swamped with weddings that were rescheduled from last year on top of the new weddings this year. However, you wouldn't have been able to tell that Chelsea was overwhelmed with brides. She was always there to talk if I had any last minute questions. She was so incredibly nice and professional through the entire process.
I knew the first time I heard about Shakespeare's that it's where I wanted to get married. I'm a HUGE Shakespeare nerd, and after seeing the place in person, there is no where else I could imagine having my wedding. The whole day was simply perfect, and I'll remember it for the rest of my life. Thank you so much, Chelsea!!!

Honestly.... I can’t even put into words how wonderful of a place this is to get married. Every single person who helped us made it easy and stress-free. They are so flexible, quick to respond, and overwhelmingly helpful!!!! Every single guest commented on how beautiful it was, and how delicious the food was!!!! Probably one of the best decisions we’ve ever made.

Nicole and her staff are very professional and on top of their game! Venue offered a bridal day for their couples to come tast the food and visit with a few vendors. We went home in a food coma!! SO much food!!

We couldn't have been happier!
We cannot say enough wonderful things about Nicole and her staff at Shakespeare’s! From our very first visit, we knew that this was the wedding venue for us, from the beautiful features to Nicole’s presentation. She made us feel so comfortable and confident that all details would be handled with care and efficiency on her end—and they were! Countless times we deferred to her expertise when were unsure about a certain detail (Should we have a receiving line after the ceremony? How should we time cocktail hour? When should we cut the cake? The list goes on…). Nicole was patient, friendly, and personal through it all! On the day of the wedding, we had zero stress because everything was so seamlessly handled. Shakespeare’s has great relationships with vendors in the area, so they all worked together as an ultra-professional team. Our guests raved about the food—it really is second to none. We loved every detail of having our wedding here, and we can’t wait to go back in a year to celebrate our anniversary!

Shakespeare’s was the perfect place to have my wedding!
My husband and I got married this past June (2018) and having it at Shakespeare’s was honestly the best choice we could have ever made!
Nicole and her team were so tentative to what we wanted, and were so willing go to above and beyond to provide that for us! They made the whole evening so simple for us to enjoy the night, and we haven’t stopped getting compliments on the food, decor and beautiful view of the golf course!
I can’t say enough about everything Shakespeare’s did for us that evening. It was perfect!

Nicole and Lexi the event coordinations are absolutely amazing! The venue is beautiful and romantic. The girls were there for me for everything I needed. They treated me like I was family and made sure no matter how many times I bugged them that they got back to me that day. They were with me every step of the way. I could have not asked for a better group of people to have worked with. The staff is also amazing and so kind! I am so sad that my wedding is over now because I won’t get to see them anymore! I plan on keeping in touch with them and will for sure have other events there. Food was amazing with large portions, drinks amazing I could talk all day about them. Thank you so much Nicole, Lexi & the staff for making my wedding day a dream come true!

We would definitely, hands down recommend Shakespeare's to anyone. Our experience more than I can put into words. Nicole and her team did a amazing job with ensuring that our day from start to finish was absolutely perfect. When I walked into the room for the first time before my wedding day, my mouth dropped to the door, tears running down my face because it was more than I could have ever imagined. Everyone was so helpful and friendly throughout the entire process.

This venue was amazing. Beautiful. Everyone complimented on our food. The cake slide in the box and the girls who helped fun the venue fixed the right up! Everything was beautiful and we couldn't have asked for a better wedding and reception.

It was simply amazing
I honestly cannot say enough about this venue. Nicole is amazing! She was incredibly easy to work with, most accommodating, and literally saved our wedding. She turned an awful occurrence into probably the biggest wedding save ever. Our cake never showed up, our order somehow lost, and within the time it took for our ceremony she had the staff there whip up a cake, and our guests were none the wiser. And from what I hear everyone said it tasted amazing. The venue is beautiful, spacious, and as I mentioned we had our ceremony there on a rear balcony. It couldn't have been more perfect for us.

Nicole and Alexis are two of the best event planners I have ever met. They always responded to my questions in a prompt manner, helped organize my wedding and I cannot thank them enough for everything they have done for us. They are so knowledgeable and clearly have a ton of experience. They truly care about the couples that are getting married and do everything in their power to make sure the day moves as smoothly as possible. Shakespeare's offers an elegant wedding for an affordable cost. The venue is stunning on it's own and our wedding on the balcony was perfect. We decided to do a sit down dinner and everyone loved the food. They set up all the decorations for you, and the price includes two of the three: cake, chair covers, or centerpieces. The day of the wedding was perfect because instead of worrying if everything would be set up on time, they took care of all the work for us. If you are looking for a venue that will do most of the work for you and have a beautiful castle and landscape I highly recommend Shakespeare's!

Shakespeare's gave my daughter the reception of her dreams. From our initial consultation to their last dance of the night, Nicole Catalano and her staff met all of our needs with professionalism and responsiveness. The venue was exquisite and the food was exceptional. Our only concern that night was to celebrate our children's wedding with our family and friends. How lucky we were to stumble across Shakespeare's Restaurant. My husband and I were originally drawn to this location due to the unique facade and atmosphere that it offered. When we arrived for our original tour, we were impressed by Alexis and Nicole's professionalism. They talked us through the various options within our budget and spent time answering our many questions. Shakespeare's is a great value and offers various packages and discounts. It is a true bang for your buck...you won't find hidden costs or unnecessary fees here. Leading up to the wedding, we participated in the tasting event which led us to our dessert vendor and chair cover vendor. It also helped us to pick our yummy dinner dishes. What a wonderful idea and event! Leading up to the event, Alexis and Nicole answered my many questions via email and were simply the best. We felt very supported and confident in our choice. On the day before the event, they helped us through our rehearsal. The day of the event, everything came together perfectly. The Shakespeare's staff set out our decorations to our exact specifications, they kept us on schedule for our ceremony and were wonderful with our guests. During our dinner, they set aside my and my husband's favorite drinks and even saved us some appetizers we'd missed during the cocktail hour (due to our photos). They were there for us every step of the day, and even helped us set up a surprise for my parents. At the end of the night, they helped us pack up, packed up the extra meals, and even saved a second dinner for my husband and I (in case we didn't get to eat during our reception). I know this is a long review, however, I obviously CANNOT SAY ENOUGH about this venue. Yummy food, TOP NOTCH SERVICE, kind people, and a beautiful venue. I would recommend this venue to any person I know. I am SO grateful to them for helping create the perfect wedding day. Without them, I can't image the day being so wonderful. THANK YOU!

Wedding 7/14/17: Nicole, Lexi, and the entire staff at Shakespeare's took our special day and made it PERFECT! Our only regret is that we are not planning another wedding there. Throughout the planning process, they became family and were very flexible, affordable, and provided the most unique experience! On the day of, they made sure that any last minute details were taken care of so that my bride and I did not worry about a thing. The planning was simple and easy but the team really excelled at the execution. Our guests stated that this was the best wedding they have every attended. The staff were pleasant and accommodating to our guests. Nicole is exceptional in her ability to listen and deliver on a bride's vision or even to help that bride clarify her vision. Everything was absolutely wonderful from our first meeting and tour to our actual ceremony and reception! Nicole and staff were so helpful, organized, and knowledgable and walked us through the while process. Our day could not have been any better. The food was fantastic and the venue was set up better then we ever could have imagined! Nicole and staff sent up everything for us and made sure it was absolutely perfect. Another great aspect the venue included was a full food tasting months before the wedding to ensure that it was just what we wanted. The whole process was so stress free and the most perfect day! I gave Shakespeare's a 5/5 on everything because it is so well deserved! Nicole (the catering manager) was tremendously helpful and so sweet! She truly did make the whole process a breeze for us. The venue was setup exactly how I imagined it and people are still talking about how great the food tasted and how much fun they had. As soon as we pulled into the parking lot we knew this was going to be the venue for our wedding. The scenery is amazing and we got some beautiful pictures. We chose to do the plated dinner and the portions were large and the food was delicious. Nicole and her staff were great to work with. We dropped off our decorations the day before our wedding and they set everything up for us. We had minimal decorations (I bought 6 flower arrangements and we used six of their lanterns) and the room looked amazing. If you are looking for a venue that does everything for you so you and your guest can enjoy the day this is the place for you. There was even a car accident and festival the day of our wedding and our bus filled with guests was a half hour late and they were very flexible and accomedating.

This wedding venue came with a staff who went above and beyond on our wedding day. We didn't have to handle anything--from setting out placecards, to putting our cookie table together, and contacting our florist and baker, they did it all. I was so relaxed on my wedding day thanks to them. I would highly recommend this wedding venue:)

We are so happy with how our wedding ceremony and reception turned out at Shakespeare's. Leading up to our big day all of the event staff were very helpful and responsive to our questions and they were very accommodating. I can honestly say that our wedding day went exactly as planned with no major set backs at all. They set everything up for us the day of (centerpieces, decor, etc) and staff were accessible the entire day. We definitely recommend Shakespeare's!

Very happy with our choice to go with Shakespeare's. We had a smallish wedding of about 85 people and they were the best value we could find in the area for a place where both ceremony and reception could be held. Their staff was extremely attentive and easy to work with at each step of the way. There was a bridal event at the beginning of the year which showcased all of their offerings and included tastings of all the food choices. Then we had a private meeting later on with their event coordinator, Nicole, to go over our choices. Leading up to the wedding date they helped us set table arrangements and keep track of the vendors (flowers, DJ, etc).
They had us drop off the decorations the night before and set everything up to our specifications. We opted to have them set up the cookie table as well and it turned out really nicely.
Nicole and her staff even made sure that we got enough food/cookies/etc throughout the reception and had a plate of cookies waiting at our table for us. All of their staff were very friendly and attentive. The food here is great too. We'll definitely be back to visit their pub.
Their attention to detail was great and really helped us get to relax and enjoy the day. We definitely recommend choosing Shakespeare's!

My fiancé and I live near Shakespeares and I have wanted to get married there since high school. We were extremely surprised at the rates and how feasible it was. Not having to set up or tear down anything was also a huge bonus. I highly recommend this venue and wouldn't have wanted to work with anyone but Nicole and her staff.

Everyone thought the food was delicious, the staff was very accommodating and the setting was beautiful. Pricing is very affordable, we had a buffet for the shower and rehearsal and sit down for the reception. I would definitely recommend Shakespeare's for any event, we looked at a few different venues before picking Shakespeare's and there weren't any in the area that were comparable. We worked with Nicole, Allison and Lexi and all 3 of them were great!

LOVED THIS VENUE!! Shakespeare's Restaurant is a beautiful castle with a golf course surrounding it. It is wonderfully scenic. The banquet manager, Nicole, and her assistant, Lexi, were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I had emailed them early January, not expecting there to be openings or even to be able to afford it...but the October 11th date I wanted was available and the cost was reasonable. They have a wedding package that includes open bar (with top shelf alcohol), champagne glasses (champagne toast for all guests too), guestbook, fancy cake serving utensils,and a choice of two of three things: Cake, Chair Covers or Centerpieces. We chose the cake (Carol's Cakes in Beaver, PA) and Chair Covers (Terri Yoho with Pittsburgh Wedding Rentals). The meal can be buffet style or the traditional served courses. We chose the buffet dinner. Everything tasted wonderful. I was most impressed with the service from Nicole, Lexi and their staff. The day before the wedding, we met with Nicole to deliver our DIY centerpieces, favors, s'mores bar items, etc. They just asked for detailed instructions which I provided and they took it from there. Everything was set-up perfectly and better than I had expected. The s'mores bar was beautiful. (There was a little extra fee for them to set it up but it was worth it.) We also had our ceremony at Shakespeare's. There is an extra fee for set-up but it really is not bad. The ceremony was held on the balcony-patio. We had a small wedding (about 70ish people) and there was plenty of room for them in the Windsor room. The setting is gorgeous and we had so many lovey photos from our photographer as well as from our guests. Nicole was an amazing coordinator. She and Lexi helped us through every aspect of the day, making the whole night flow smoothly and perfectly. The service was fantastic from the staff as well. They were always smiling and kind. They made the whole evening as perfect as the most beautiful dream. Thank you sooooooo much!

Our recent experience with Shakespeare’s Restaurant could not have been better. Nicole and Lexi helped us decide on details, large and small, to make our wedding special. After all….what do I know about hosting a wedding, its not like I’ve done this before but they made it clear that they had and were confident in their abilities to throw a great party. After planning an outdoor wedding for the last 15 months, I woke up the day of and the weather forecast was 39 degrees and rain all day. Nicole did not even miss a beat though, she recommended moving the ceremony indoors to the Windsor room and had everything perfect by the time guests started arriving. Wonderful job! Food was amazing! Expertise appreciated!

Shakespeare's made planning a wedding ceremony/reception as easy as it could possibly be. Nicole and her team were raved about by all of our other vendors, and we soon found out why. They took every idea that I had and made it into an absolute dream. Lexi was on top of the entire event. Allison stayed in contact with me throughout the entire process to answer any questions that I had (there were many!) and was incredibly patient and helpful! Our guests raved about the food and how beautiful the venue was (thanks to the hard work of everyone involved). I highly recommend having your wedding here, and also your rehearsal dinner - it made everything so much simpler. I never imagined that I would get married in a castle, but it really was a dream come true :)

My wife and I loved this place, imy wife Madelyn says it's beautiful and antique looking for is old folks. We're in our late 60's and my wife choose this place, she loved it and the food, a little pricey but worth every penny. I recommend to everyone.

Service was superb - our guests wanted for nothing. They were invisible yet available and completely accommodating. The venue was expertly decorated, the banquet manager Nicole followed our instructions to the letter and the cookie table was breath-taking! Food - magnificent! I am so glad that we chose Shakespeare's as our venue. They were so helpful through the entire process. The package deals that they offer make it much easier when you are working with a budget. The events director is absolutely fantastic to work with. All of her vendor recommendations were on point! For the ceremony itself, her staff ensured that everything was taken care of and that I could enjoy my wedding! Highly recommend!

From the time I booked Shakespeare's to the time we left the night of my daughter's reception, Shakepeare's was 100 %. Nicole was so helpful & could not have done more for me & my daughter. Allison was very helpful too. The staff was so professional. Everyone who attended the wedding said it was the best wedding they had been to. The food is fabulous & you get so much for your money. You are deffinately treated like royalty there. I recommend Shakepeare's you will love it.

The ladies at Shakespeare's were very helpful to us. I live 3 hours away from the venue but had no trouble planning and pulling off the perfect wedding. They helped us select the right dining and alcohol packages and even helped us set up our reception tables on the day of the ceremony. They were professional and easy to work with.

My husband and I recently had our wedding reception at Shakespeare's Restaurant and Pub and we cannot say enough amazing things about this place! From the time we signed the contract till we were leaving the reception the staff and management were amazing! Nicole and Allison are very professional and great at what they do with the wedding planning! They responded to my emails and answered all of my questions in a timely fashion. The food was amazing and all of our guests commented on how good it was and how big the portion sizes were. The staff was very efficient and professional and kept everything moving a long so everyone could enjoy partying after the meal. We will recommend this venue to anyone who wants a first class wedding experience! The venue is beautiful, the food was delicious, and the staff professional and friendly! We had our wedding ceremony and our reception at Shakespeare's on the balcony and in the Grand Hall. The venue is beautiful and the staff is awesome there! Nicole does a GREAT job of helping to coordinate everything and all of the vendors that this company suggested and works with did an AMAZING job preparing everything for our wedding!! The food was amazing and the service was very professional and quick! This was the best place for a Venue. The place was beautiful. They made sure my dad was a perfect day in every way. They catered to my specialized wedding. Set up and even decorated the trellis so i would not have to worry. I cannot thank or even express how amazing this venue is. Maybe if i break into aspects it will help.
The food was to die for. Everything was so delicious and the pricing is a huge Bargain for how much you receive.
Nicole (the coordinator) coordinated not only my reception. She took care of the ceremony. She made sure every aspect was handled and set up perfectly.
The Price was a steal. we had an all you can handle Buffet, with cake, and chair covers and open bar, and cocktail hour in one price. Fantastic isnt a strong enough word for how this venue is and treats their bride.

If you've always wanted to get married in a castle, Shakespeare's is your place. They are on a beautifully landscaped golf course and the ambience is perfect. The great thing about having your wedding there is that they take care of the catering as well. And the food is amazing! Their staff is very helpful and will take care of all of the details, even the ones you forgot.

Krista from Shakespeare's was awesome. She gave us tons of info and was very easy to contact via email. We were specifically impressed with the way they let us taste our menu before the event. Everything about the ceremony was so elegant. Krista helped from beginning to end. The only thing I wished that would have been different is the clean up, we are missing a few items. Maybe we should have created a checklist of items to make sure everything was taken home. Other than that, fabulous and would recommend!

Shakespeare's is beautiful!!! The building is so breathtaking when you pull up to it and the inside and grounds are gorgeous, as well. The food is great and the service is even better. They go over and above what any bride would expect in terms of fulfilling your requests and doing things that most brides would have to do themselves. Don't be deterred by the beauty of the place - the cost is very low in comparison to other places and they are always willing to deal if you just ask! I was married there and so was my older sister. We will probaby continue for my other two sisters. You would not be happy at any other venue!!!!

My husband and I had a truly beautiful and unique wedding reception at Shakespeare's Restaurant on July 3, 2009. The facility was able to accommodate our large group efficiently yet made each person needs feel tended to. The food was delicious! Our guests could not stop talking about how great the hot appetizers were, and they set up two buffets to help our large group get fed quickly. My husband has celiac's disease and a few of our guest have special diets. Shakespeare's took extra care in making sure those guests got special meals (they grilled a separate steak for my husband), and answered any questions they had (a very rare thing). The facility was beautiful and offered the option for our guests to party inside, or enjoy the view of the stonewall on the covered balcony. At the end of the evening my husband and I, along with our guests, journeyed outside to enjoy a fireworks display. I could not have imagined a more perfect experience for our wedding. Just perfect.

My husband and I knew the moment we drove up to Shakespeare's, this was it... the place of our dreams! The minute you drive up you feel you have entered a fairy tale, fantastical and romantic. The castle sits among a picturesque scene: green grassy hills, sunset over the stonewall, water glistening in the moat and playing in the fountain, but most of all a stone balcony to take in all the glory and romance this castle has to offer. The inside of the castle is what you would think: tapestries, knights of armor, paintings, round table dining area with carved benches, medieval decor collected from around the world by the owner, and everything that would make you feel you have entered into a truly authentic castle.
We were married on the balcony, a marvelous and magical place to get married. We could look out at our guests and look out at the scenery and sunset while we made our vows. After we headed inside to the Grand Hall where we had our reception. The tapestries, chandeliers, and roomy setting made you feel like you were truly royalty dining and dancing in the most beautifully decorated arena. There really is no need for decorations unless you want them. The food was out of this world and the bar was open for everyone, hidden in a glass windowed corner. Even before our wedding we made every excuse to go up and dine... sampling everything we could to come up with our dinner list. The compliments we had from the guests were how wonderful and exquisite the food was, savory and delectable .
The staff were fantastic to work with. But by all means Shakespeare has the best coordinator ever. Angela was phenomenal to work with. Always willing to work with you and make it just what you wanted, stressing how much this was about "us". She made the event 100% about us down to the smallest detail. The staff bent over backwards to make our night special and truly unique. Angela knows what she is doing and makes you feel like there is nothing to worry about; she makes it a stress free, fun filled event worth every penny. Shakepeares made our most memorable and spiritual day, an event that is unlikely to ever be topped by our friends and family. Angela made it a wedding to be jealous of by everyone! We would never have asked for a more perfect beginning to our lives together.... thank you Shakespeares for everthing!!!! We were very happy with our wedding at Shakespeares. It was GORGEOUS. I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful and perfect day. There was a minor bump in the planning, but it was easily sorted out with the girls Allison and Nicole. They were so good to me. Make sure your photographer or photo booth person visits the venue prior. For sizing and the view and photo opportunities. Shakespeares made our wedding something out of a fairytale. It was the best day ever. They even stayed open for us two hours longer, we had to pay but it was worth it. We danced the whole night. We did the package and it was worth it. The food was AMAZING!!!! We were so happy with Shakespeares.

We hosted our vow renewal at Shakespeare's. The venue was absolutely breathtaking. The catering was delicious for the most part. The pastas were wonderful- we chose Parmesan and Alfredo. My husband's chicken with the Parmesan was perfect, but my chicken with the Alfredo was bone dry. A lot of our guests said the same thing. The staff was great with communication until the day of the event. I highly recommend hiring you own day of coordinator to make sure you are informed and things run smoothly (not 15 minutes late with no warning or serving cake before the special dances, like we'd asked) on your special day here, or you'll be looking around for direction until you finally end up scrambling to run your own show.

They did a beautiful job setting everything up! I mostly communicated with the same person throughout the whole process. Answered any questions I had, knew what they were doing. The only thing is that I wish we had the venue until a certain time instead of for a oeriod of time. 5 hours was not long enough and our reception was over at 930. would have been nice if we could have had it until 11 without paying extra.

I scored a 4 out of 5 for cost because shakespeares is rather expensive. however it is so worth it. you definately pay for what you get! i heard from many people that my reception was the best they had ever been too. that is the absolute highest compliment that you could receive and i truly believe that shakespeares had a large part in that! thanks guys!

Everyone at the wedding loved the food and the choices at the buffet. The cheese platter as well as the appertizers was a hit as well. The guests were well fed. I never been to another reception that had people buzzing so much about the food.
As for the photos, since Shakespeare's is a castle, the surroundings made them special.

We just had our wedding at Shakespeare's this past weekend with the fall foliage. Let me tell you, this was an absolutely beautiful wedding. Everyone who was there has given us positive feedback. The scenery and backdrop were gorgeous. I only have iPhone photos so far from some of the guests, but if their iPhone photos are any indication, our wedding pictures will be spectacular! There were soooo many photo ops around the castle (yes, castle!) and the golf course. The food is EXCELLENT. We had both the wedding and the rehearsal dinner there, and even our more "financially endowed" relatives were very impressed with the quality of the catering. My mother and I had done a ton of work on ceremony decorations and creating personal touches to put around our venue (the ceremony was on the veranda outside of our reception room), and the staff at Shakespeare's bent over backwards to accommodate us. The package was very affordable, especially when compared at the prices charged for a more mainstream venue or one closer to downtown.
The drawbacks:
1. There are no hotels closer than Cranberry (1/2 hour drive away). If your family are heavy drinkers, this is not your venue.
2. The reception is supposed to be over at 9, though you can pay by the 1/2 hour to extend the time slot.
3. Your wedding package includes many things (which is awesome! and reduces your stress!!). You can pick to have 2 of the following 3 included with your package: chair covers, centerpieces, or cake. We chose chair covers and center pieces. The allowance they give you for these items is very small, so be prepared to cover supplemental costs on the "included" items, unless you want plain white or black chair covers and only six roses in each centerpiece.
All in all, this wedding was awesome!! We were under budget, and we ended up with a full buffet, butlered hors d'oeuvers, open bar, champainge toast, and butlered wine service during dinner. Highly recommended.
