I highly recommend Olena. She did an excellent job on my wedding dress, which has tons of layers. Olena also made suggestions I wouldn't have thought of, like making my straps removable instead of taking them off altogether. And when I picked up the dress, she made sure I was happy with everything and that I was comfortable with the alterations (I was. she did a phenomenal job!)
To top it all off, she was able to get the job done quickly and at a fair price. I ended up sending all of my bridesmaids to her, and plan to use her for alterations in the future. If you're on the fence about seamstresses, don't hesitate to pay her a visit!

Olena is an incredible seamstress. When I first arrived, I was a bit taken aback because I had expected a store, not a home. But rest assured, you’re in the right place when you find yourself at her house. She quickly led me upstairs to try on my dress, wasting no time at all. At first, I felt a little unsure, but with so many positive reviews, I knew there had to be a reason for the praise. Such a great experience
If you’re in the Michigan area especially Grand Rapids, I recommend Sewing Cinderella. The service I was received was beyond my expectations. I’m a future bride living in Hawaii but getting married in Michigan, and one of my biggest fears was having to travel back and forth several times for my dress fittings. Seeing Cinderella made sure I was able to get all of my fittings in while I was in Michigan so that I wouldn’t have to travel back and forth. She was kind, fast, and professional. I went back and forth between companies before deciding to go with Sewing Cinderella and I’m so glad I did. Her work is amazing and I’m so happy with my dress.

Olena‘s work is meticulous and beautiful, with the added bonus that she has a flair for fashion, and knows exactly how the dress should be worn. Most recently, I brought in an expensive, shimmery, long gown that was even longer in the back….with a modified train. I wanted the dress to be hemmed, so that I could walk in it without tripping… but I wanted to keep the same dimensions/ratio of front to back length. This would be tricky. Olena not only understood, but she gave me her input as to how the sheer layer should be just a bit longer than the under layer, and she agreed that she would also allow for my request that my sparkly sandals would show just a bit. The result? She nailed it!!! The result was just PERFECT!!!
This is the third dress which I have brought to Olena to hem over the past 3 years, and all three times I have been absolutely thrilled with the results. She is amazing at her craft!!! I will never go to anyone else!!!

Olena did a wonderful job on alterations for my wedding gown! With many layers of delicate fabric for the skirt and a beaded bodice, it was certainly no easy task and she did a fantastic job! Beyond that, being a 2020 bride, she was so accommodating, even holding onto/storing my dress for over 6 months given the uncertainty COVID had caused and dealing with my 2 reschedules, my final wedding being in July 2022. I would highly recommend! Her pricing is more than reasonable, I even paid her extra knowing the seamstress in CO, where I bought my dress, had quoted me nearly double. You can’t go wrong with Olena, highly recommend! She works out of her home, but her studio upstairs is private and comfortable

Look no further for your wedding dress alterations - Olena did a fabulous job altering my 2 (yes two!) wedding dresses! I had a big surprise for my mom – I dreamed of wearing her dress for my wedding, but minus the 1980’s style with the big poufy sleeves and mesh. At my first appointment with Olena, I talked to her about my dream of wearing my mom’s wedding dress but updating the style to fit 2021 and my taste. I love how honest she was in telling me the realistic cost alterations I dreamed up would be. WAY more than I had imagined, but aside from this disappointing news, she had an alternative…She gave me the idea of purchasing a clearance gown and having 2 dresses for my wedding. I would have never thought that myself, a minimalistic person, would have 2 wedding dresses, but it made sense: 1) I would make minimal alterations to my mother’s 30-year-old wedding dress, and 2) I would still get to have the dress-shopping experience with my mom. The dress I picked out was second-hand from Second Dance in Grand Rapids, but you would never be able to tell. I had multiple appointments with Olena as she altered my mom’s dress one bit at a time. I love that she was conservative and did not rush to complete the dress in the least number of visits possible. Both dresses turned out amazing, in fact, my guests could not even tell the dress was over 30 years old – they just said it was beautiful, and my mom cried when she realized I was wearing HER wedding dress down the aisle on the year of her 30th wedding anniversary. I was nervous about my dress being strapless since I am small busted, but Olena’s alterations were perfect. Scheduling an appointment with Olena was easy, and her pricing is very reasonable and did not change through the process of alterations and multiple appointments. I HIGHLY recommend Olena for your wedding dress alterations!

Olena had the daunting task of making a previously very fitted dress into a 8 month maternity dress (thanks for the delayed year COVID). Lace, satin and ribbon all had to be altered and she did it flawlessly regardless of the medium. She was thoughtful and added in elastic to ensure a great fit. I have to say, I did not think it was going to be possible, but she was a miracle worker. She seems to work around the clock and always is available by phone. Super efficient and prompt. I definitely went to the right place to make this seemingly impossible dream a reality. Hands down will use Seeing Cinderella again and recommend Olena to everyone.

In a matter of days, she fitted and altered my daughter’s Prom dress. She did extensive alterations. At the final fitting, she even hand sewn the bodice to fit her perfectly!

Amazing Seamstress
Completely transformed my wedding dress. Olena worked on my dress until midnight two days before my wedding to make sure it fit perfect. She is a great seamstress and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for alterations. Especially with intricate dresses.

Olena is very kind, accepts feedback well, and is a professional at alterations. She knew just the right way to bustle my dress, volunteered to make the hanging sleeves more comfortable (clear elastic), and gave perfect instructions on what to do the day of the wedding. Olena is my HERO!!
Olena is my HERO!! We had to cancel our destination wedding next month with our guests due to the new CDC requirements to get covid-19 tested before entering United States starting January 26. After we cancelled, my then fiance and I decided to save our wedding by still going down to Punta Cana to elope just us two! With the stress of moving up the wedding last minute, I did not think it would be possible to also squeeze in my dress alterations so early, but Olena took me in immediatley and for days she worked hard to make sure I had my dress in time before my flight. On top of working with me on such short timing, she also made sure I was going to have my dream wedding dress and made wonderful suggestions along the way. Olena is absolutley an amazing person and as a seamstress she is TALENTED! She has an eye for these things and an imagination that she creates into reality. I will forever be grateful that Sewing Cinderella made sure I had a fairytale dress made just for me on my very special day.

I found Sewing Cinderella searching on Google and decided to take a chance and I am so happy I did! She was great making this dress fit me like a glove, it looks so good! The cost of it was great for how much work she did to it! Also she was very flexible with rescheduling during covid and with my wedding date moving! Additionally, she would get back to me very quickly when I would reach out to her. Would definitely recommend her to anyone with a gown they need altered! Lastly, my mother got a dress altered there and she did a great job with that too!

So much work - so little time!
Olena was absolutely wonderful. My original seamstress had canceled on me less than 3 weeks before my wedding day with my dress needing MAJOR alterations. Sewing Cinderella had an opening for me and she was able to go above and beyond with my dress. The neck line was changed from high neck to vneck, then dress needed let out slightly so I could sit, she hemmed it and created a bustle as well as made other small changes her and there. The sewing is exceptional and she was extremely timely! My dress also was lace back and vneck so I needed a specific bra, the Misses Kisses Bra she suggested was wonderful and stayed in place for over 10 hours. I absolutely love my dress and it was perfect my big day. I highly suggest Sewing Cinderella.

Olena is extremely good at what she does. She's efficient and gets it done. I had several alterations done to my dress including a hem, bustle, tuck and full length sleeves with several buttons added. She works with your schedule so you get the best outcome for your occasion. I will be comming to her for any other alterations I need.

Olena at Sewing Cinderella Llc did such an amazing job on my wedding dress and she was a joy to work with! She was recommended by the bridal salon I got my dress at and I couldn’t be happier! She did an amazing job working with the heavy beadwork on my dress and it fits me so well now. She also took the time to teach my mom how to do the bustle properly and spot steam any last minute areas I really appreciated that kind of customer service. The best alterations ever!
Olena is INCREDIBLE! I cannot recommend her enough. I was an out of town bride and she was extremely flexible with making alterations appointments with me (even day before changes!). She is EXTREMELY talented, quick and affordable - not to mention a joy to work with! She is funny and personable as well which makes the experience that much better. I even had a concern with my dress the day before the wedding and she talked to me on the phone to help calm me down and ensure everything was perfect. Olena from Sewing Cinderella was so wonderful to work with! She is very knowledgeable about sewing and was very accomodating in scheduling appointments. When I originally received by dress from the bridal shop, the bust was way to big and required some extreme alterations and not to mention lots of hemming due to by petite size. She really knows what she is doing
American's bride ordered me the incorrect size (Too small). Olena could see that I was stressed when I walked in and she immediately made feel better. Her work was amazing. When I went to pick up my dress she told me that she can make it even better. I was nervous but I trusted her. When I went back, she was right! I loved my dress so much after she fixed it. I told my friends about her and they went to her and had a great experience. I was waiting to post a review because I wanted to post pictures but wedding was postponed due to Covid19.

My Miracle Worker!

Olena will help give advice on what to wear underneath, help create a tutorial video of how to put up the bustle, and provide tips on steaming (she can provide this service too). SewingCinderella was wonderful to work with! she took the time to make sure my dress was perfect! Due to Covid-19, we had to postpone our appointments. My fiance and I are still getting married on our original date (using zoom to stream to our guests). She knew we had a long drive to get to her. She spent all day with me, to make sure my dress was perfect so I wouldn't have to make another trip to Grand Rapids.
I had put aside $400 for alterations (suggested amount from my wedding salon). She was half that price! She went totally above and beyond my expectations!

I highly recommend Sewing Cinderella LLC for any alteration needs. She is very flexible to work with, which was very convenient for me as I live in West Virginia and she was able to accommodate my travel schedule. Olena took the worry of my wedding dress out of my hands and didn't stop until she had it just right. Everything was done perfectly and I couldn't have asked for anything better!

Olena is absolutely AMAZING! My wedding dress required several alterations, she completed all them with a smile on her face & was not going to stop until it fit me perfectly. Olena is amazing! She is very professional, quick, and did a beautiful job with my dress. I was worried about getting alterations done in time for my wedding (especially with my crazy work schedule), but Olena assured me that it was no problem, and I would have my dress done before the wedding. I ended up needing more done to the dress than I originally thought, but she handled it all so beautifully and efficiently. My dress fit perfectly, and I felt like a princess on my wedding day. If you’re in need of any kind of alterations, I highly recommend Sewing Cinderella!
