The Absolute Best!!
Maryssa was such a dream to work with! Unfortunately due to Covid we had to postpone our wedding not once, but twice! In the end, my fiance and I decided to elope. Throughout the whole process, Maryssa was very thoughtful, understanding, and patient. She went above and beyond to make sure our wedding was special. She was incredibly understanding of all the last minute changes. She connected me to last minute vendors when my fiance and I lost our officiant. She took the time to communicate with us every step of the way. To be honest, there are not enough words to express how grateful I am to have had such a thoughtful and understanding wedding coordinator during these crazy times. I am really excited to work with her to plan our celebration and would highly recommend her. Thanks Maryssa!!!Maryssa was such a dream to work with! Maryssa made our planning process a joy
We knew we wanted to hire a wedding planner, but until we worked with Maryssa, we didn't fully understand the sheer scope, love, and dedication that go into planning a well-executed event. Maryssa made it look effortless -- I was hopelessly swimming in unorganized emails, but she had everything meticulously printed out for us, no detail forgotten.
It was a relief to know that, even when we didn't quite know what we wanted, Maryssa had our backs, and could set us up for our dream wedding. We asked for a pretty unconventional event -- an afternoon garden party wedding, with lots of unusual details (e.g. lawn games, a horah break, a gelato cart), and Maryssa wove it together into an event with a natural flow and gorgeous vibe.

Dream Wedding Planner!
Our wedding in Sonoma at the Barn at Harrow Cellars, as well as rehearsal dinner were flawlessly executed and managed by Maryssa Souza and her team. Everything from helping guide us on rentals, decor, details, and all of her flawless execution the day off - we can't explain how unworried we were throughout the entire planning process and day of the wedding as well. Her team is so friendly, honest, organized, and gives you the tools as well to keep yourself truly organized. The team was quick to respond to any random questions we had and also so kind and super fun to work with. We were sad in a way that the planning process was done as it ended our time getting to work with Maryssa. Her a la carte packages give you the flexibility to get the support that you need and want throughout the planning process too which was great to have. We can't reiterate enough that the day of our wedding we never thought twice or really were stressed about anything because of how organized and thoughtful Maryssa was in orchestrating everything. Our wedding was about 185 people with large bridal/groomsmen parties and families and the day felt like an intimate gathering in many ways because Maryssa and her team made the day so easy and carefree for us all. Her knowledge of all vendors throughout the greater Napa Valley is beyond impressive as well and was critical in helping us choose our rehearsal dinner and after party spot as well. Our experience with Maryssa, Founder & Wedding Planner at Seven Oh Seven Events, was nothing short of extraordinary. From the very beginning, she guided us through the wedding planning process with unmatched patience, kindness, and an incredible attention to detail. It was clear from the start that she truly loves what she does, and it showed in every interaction we had with her.
We would have been completely lost without her expertise, but thanks to her, we felt supported every step of the way. Whenever we had doubts or concerns, Maryssa immediately stepped in with solutions, calming our nerves - she genuinely made us feel like we were her only clients with the amount of care and attention she gave us, not to mention extremely timely responses! There were many moments when we felt out of our depth, but knowing she was on our team made the entire process more exciting and enjoyable. Her presence allowed us to focus on the joy of our wedding rather than stress over the details because we knew she had our backs. And she truly did!
The biggest testament to her talent came on our wedding day. We had planned a fully outdoor wedding...and with no plan B in place, the day arrived with non-stop rain. Despite our hopes that the weather would clear, we eventually had to move everything indoors at the very last minute (legit the last minute... poor Maryssa). Maryssa handled this challenge with such grace and professionalism, creating a new plan on the spot and executing it so flawlessly that it felt as though everything had always been meant to happen that way. She turned what could have been a stressful situation into a beautiful, romantic, and perfectly orchestrated event.
By the end of the process, Maryssa didn’t just feel like our planner—she became a true friend. The connection we built with her went far beyond just planning; her genuine care for us as a couple made the experience even more special. We can’t say enough about how instrumental Maryssa was in creating a wedding day that we will cherish forever. Working with her was a dream, and we're honestly sad that we won't have any more planning calls with her. Maryssa is superwoman. Maryssa made our day so special, she took all of the work off of our plate, she helped us plan the perfect wedding and was there for our every question and need. We could not have asked for a better wedding planner. A few words that come to mind when I think of Maryssa are: organized, thoughtful, smart, attentive, kind, forward thinking, genuine and ALWAYS made us feel heard and important. Best Money We Spent
Maryssa was amazing from start to finish! We originally had her photograph our surprise engagement and were so thrilled with her work and energy throughout the day that we knew she had to be a part of our big day! When we discovered she was a planner, and not only an amazing photographer, we were sold. After hiring her, I also discovered her company had planned one of my friend's weddings that I LOVED, so I knew we were in great hands!
Maryssa was available and responsive, she went above and beyond for us and the tools provided in the package to help us plan were more than worth the value. She was present and collected on our big day and it brought me so much peace as a bride knowing there was someone we could trust in our corner. I am so thankful we made this choice!Maryssa was amazing from start to finish! Best Planner in the Bay Area - or just in the game - hands down.
Where do I even begin to express my gratitude to Maryssa, the owner and lead planner for our wedding, and the incredible team at SOS Events? Our wedding day was, quite literally, the best wedding I’ve ever attended, and it's something I couldn’t have dreamt up even if I tried. From the very outset, SOS proved to be our saving grace, and Maryssa's expertise and dedication were nothing short of extraordinary in turning our vague ideas into a breathtaking reality.
As someone who had little experience in wedding planning – okay, as someone who had absolutely no idea where to start when it came to wedding planning and only a fuzzy notion of what we wanted, Maryssa's patience, organization, flexibility, and ability to extract the series of adjectives I gave her to work with into something coherent, were a godsend. She listened intently to my scattered ideas, offering invaluable guidance every step of the way. Her genuine enthusiasm and unwavering support helped me navigate what are notoriously stressful moments of the planning process with grace and ease.
What truly set SOS apart was the sense of trust and openness that Maryssa cultivated. Unlike other planners we considered, Maryssa's approach was refreshingly judgment-free, allowing me to express myself authentically. This was especially crucial as I planned a wedding from afar in Sonoma/Petaluma, my hometown, while living in Wyoming. Maryssa's ability to build trust and confidence from miles away was truly remarkable. An additional point that sets Maryssa and SOS apart is they embrace creativity and don’t have restrictions that would’ve limited us to a list of 3-5 “approved vendors” like other planners in the industry.
Maryssa's expertise extended far beyond logistics; her meticulous attention to detail and comprehensive contingency plans ensured that we were prepared for any scenario, rain or shine. This level of preparedness allowed us to relax and enjoy our special day without worrying about unexpected challenges.
Even during a challenging period leading up to the wedding, Maryssa's compassion and professionalism shone through. She met us with empathy and grace, somehow managing to keep us moving forward even in the face of adversity.
Maryssa’s keen eye for design, fantastic relationships with vendors in the industry, and willingness to offer honest opinions allowed me to trust her implicitly. This level of collaboration is a testament to Maryssa's exceptional skill and the genuine bond she forms with both her clients and fellow industry professionals.

The best in the biz!!!
I'm a DJ/event lead with Golden Bell Music and I've had the pleasure of working with Seven Oh Seven on 3 separate weddings! I recently worked with Maryssa, who is the owner and was also the lead planner for the wedding. It was the first wedding of the 2024 season for me and it was a big one. Maryssa was so wonderful to work with. She really helped fill some gaps that would have been more challenging without her help. She's the perfect blend of being super on top of it and also being very relaxed. Always calm, confident and easy. She's a great listener and a great communicator.
Both of her assistants where wonderful as well. I've worked with Alyssa on 2 other weddings, both of which were smooth and fun. It was my first time meeting Tiffany and she was great too. They were all so helpful and professional.

THE best wedding that I could ever asked for!!!!
Maryssa was the wedding planner for our Oct wedding. Being able to have her as our planner was the best blessing. Maryssa is warm, caring, patient and passionate about what she does. She was consistent with high standard deliverables since the first consultation. I lost many weeks of sleep of deciding on the flowers for the tables and to a point that I wanted to call it off. Maryssa helped me with organizing my thoughts and bringing my vision to life. The table turned out to be so beautiful! Maryssa also has great relationship with many vendors and venues in the area which made my wedding day went smoothly and I didn’t need to worry about one thing. She is very organized, time oriented and especially calm which really helped ease my nerves.
She is also a GREAT photographer!! Oh let me tell you how much I appreciate the videos and photos that she took for us. Above & Beyond
Maryssa was the absolute best person to work with for our wedding and we are so grateful! Before we even picked our venue we knew we wanted to reach out to her to plan our special day. She was easily available to meet with and go over everything prior to putting down our deposit. She's worked with so many different vendors in the area and everyone has nothing but great things to say about her. We had Maryssa take over everything about a month before our wedding day, but she was available by phone and email with every question we had (which was quite a lot!). She made sure that every detail was accounted for, even the ones we didn't think about. The day of the wedding, everything ran so smoothly and she took pictures and videos throughout the day to document the memories, which was such a lovely addition to our pictures from our photographer. At the end of the night, there was a snafu with our transportation and despite multiple calls that Maryssa made, the driver did not answer. Maryssa saved the day and offered herself to drive us down to the Plaza so we could continue our celebrations in true Sonoma fashion. I would highly recommend Maryssa and her team for anyone looking for a planner in the Sonoma area, 12/10 rating!Maryssa was the absolute best person to work with for our wedding and we are so grateful! Hiring Maryssa as our wedding coordinator was the best decision my husband and I made during our wedding planning process. My husband and I had locked in the venue, photographer and band, and we were looking for someone to help stitch everything together and ensure a flawless execution on the day of. Maryssa and her team more than delivered. They were hands on, thoughtful, mindful of all the details and brought everything to life just the way my husband and I had envisioned. Maryssa is a joy to work with -- she is calm, proactive and a good communicator. When it looked like rain a few days before our wedding, Maryssa worked through various backup options with us and helped put our minds at ease -- we couldn't have navigated our wedding week without her. She is a gifted wedding planner, has a passion for her work and exceeded our expectations. From her calm demeanor to her detail oriented approach, she is exactly what is needed for a seamless and well executed wedding. She is knowledgeable, accessible, organized, upbeat and energetic to name just a few of her many positive attributes. While hired as the "day of" planner for my son's wedding, she was responsive and available to answer our questions every step of the way. She was flexible as plans changed and proactive when needed. Maryssa's organizational skills are exceptional and the Aisle Planner platform she utilizes is very useful and detail oriented.

On the day of, she brought the vision of the wedding to life even better than the bride and groom envisioned it. She and her team set up extensive decor, she coordinated the vendors, welcomed guests and handled every ceremony and reception detail so our families could be fully present and focused on the bride and groom, our guests and the memorable day. We truly don't know how she managed so many details and moving pieces while also seemingly right there whenever we needed anything. She gathered and boxed all of our items after the reception and even found time to "refresh" the bride and groom's suite for them which was used as the getting ready room for all of the ladies in the bridal party.
Imagine our delight the day after the wedding when we received what seemed like professional photos and videos Maryssa captured throughout the wedding day, ceremony and reception. They were such a special gift given most of the professional photos and videos won’t be available to us for 8-10 weeks. How she had time for this with all of her other responsibilities is a complete mystery.
From start to finish, Maryssa was exceptional. We know she has many other clients, but she always made my son and his wife’s wedding feel like a top priority. The wedding was perfect and working with her was an absolute joy. Hiring Seven Oh Seven Events for our wedding planning services was THE BEST investment we made for our wedding! I would 100% do it over and over again! My husband and I got engaged back in 2018 and we were planning a fall 2021 wedding. And then as everyone knows COVID struck and we had to postpone our wedding. However, Maryssa was amazing throughout the entire process. We signed a contract with her back in May of 2020 and didn’t have our wedding until October of 2022. Despite the setback and two years of waiting for our wedding to finally arrive she was there to support us through it all. She made herself available for any questions I had throughout the process. She was incredibly patent and flexible with me as I navigated the crazy wedding scene. During our wedding day, along with the help of her team, she executed my vision to perfection. I was completely at ease knowing that she was there planning and carrying out my dream wedding that was 4 years in the making. I had prepared myself weeks in advance anticipating that things may go wrong on the day of, as everyone had warned me about, but there were absolutely no issues or concerns that arose during our wedding day. I absolutely attribute all of that success to Maryssa and her team. My husband and I were able to enjoy every moment of our wedding day without any problems, our perfect dream wedding came to life without lifting a finger, and we had the best day of our lives.
I love Maryssa and her ability to stay organized, collaborate, and be creative! As her client we were able to use Aisle Planner to keep track and communicate every detail of our wedding vision. This was such an awesome tool to use as a type a person. I was able to clearly and effectively explain my vision for our wedding. She was also very helpful when problems came up during the planning process. Her expertise and wedding planning experience goes above and beyond! She even took it upon herself to transform a part of our sweetheart table on the day of our wedding with my left over decor items that made the space even more beautiful than I could have imagined. She was punctual, thoughtful, and detailed. My favorite part of working with Maryssa and Seven Of Seven Events was watching back the videos and photos that she had captured on her social media. I loved seeing all the detail and behind the scene content that she caught on camera. It was like reliving our wedding day over again.

Absolutely Amazing!
Maryssa is the absolute best! I truly mean this when I say our wedding would not have gone off as flawlessly as it did without her. Her attention to detail is above and beyond and her communication is unmatched. As a type A bride I was worried about every little detail when it came to our wedding but with Maryssa as our coordinator, I truly felt at ease. She calmed all my nerves and answered my never ending questions so quickly. But above all else, she made my vision a reality and for that I am forever grateful. She never told me no, or that I was being too over the top when I thought for sure I was. She pumped us up and kept us excited even when planning got to a stressful point. I can't even count how many times I heard from family members, our bridal party and even guests "you have the sweetest wedding planner ever". And it's true. But not only is she the sweetest ever, she's truly amazing at what she does. The day was beautiful, organized, on time, and a blast! As a side note, my dress strap broke during our first dance and I didn't even have to worry because Maryssa was standing by with her emergency wedding kit and had me all fixed up before the father daughter dance even began. The team at Seven Oh Seven Events are amazing! We chose the month of/day of package as we didn’t need as much help choosing vendors and signing contracts but wanted to be sure we had support as the day grew closer and finalizing all the details, and of course to ensure the actual wedding day ran smoothly. Maryssa and her team were attentive, supportive and great with communication (a huge priority of ours). She helped out with vendor recommendations prior to the start of our official “package”. We were a couple that had to postpone due to COVID restrictions and Maryssa was super supportive in getting those details figured out for us, which was a bonus as this was not part of the package we purchased with them. Leading up to the event I felt really great knowing I could bounce ideas off of them and ask questions without feeling like it was ever too much. The rehearsal was a blast and Maryssa made sure that everyone key to the event knew what needed to happen and when. Their team even wears special name tags so if anyone needed anything at the wedding they knew who to look for to ask.
On the wedding day, I knew I didn’t have to worry about anything. They choreographed all the other vendors beautiful to ensure the layout and setup was exactly what we had decided in prior. It was such a treat knowing we didn’t have to do anything before, during or after the wedding related to setup or breakdown. During our reception, we had a few hiccups and Maryssa and her team jumped in and went absolutely above and beyond to make sure our guests had no idea and that we all still had a great time! I truly cannot thank them enough for their support and integrity for our special day. We truly had the best day ever and so much of that credit goes to Maryssa, Alyssa and the fabulous team at Seven Oh Seven Events. We could not have done it without them!

Can't recommend Save the Date and Maryssa enough!
Maryssa and her team are the absolute best - I would 100% recommend her to anyone planning a wedding or any other event. Maryssa was the planner for my wedding at Olympia's Valley Estate in Petaluma, July 2021. She exceeded all my expectations and went above and beyond to ensure that the day went flawlessly and was exactly what I had dreamed of.
Communication: Maryssa is one of the most transparent, thoughtful, responsive people I've worked with. Any time I had any questions - from small to big - she responded incredibly quickly and with a ton of information. As someone who has never done this before and was overwhelmed by the amount of information and options, I really appreciated how communicative and responsive she was to everything I've ever asked. As others have mentioned, oftentimes she already had taken care of / thought of the things I was asking already!
Vendor Management: Maryssa managed every.single.one. of our vendors to the minute detail. From ensuring that she had the contact information, contracts, etc. of everyone we planned to work with, she coordinated directly with them to ensure that everyone knew where and when they had to be the day of.
Attention to Detail: Maryssa's attention to detail is incredible. From sending us reminders of things we had to do a few months out to a month out, to coordinating the weekend schedule down to the minute (our family members even commented at our detailed our schedule was!) As someone who is also super detail oriented, I really appreciated this about her. On the day of the wedding, she noticed that some farm tables did not match and contacted me immediately with a few options of how to proceed - it was so detailed that I wasn't even stressed that this was happening the day-of!
Day-Of Coordination: WOW. just wow - Maryssa executed our wedding absolutely flawlessly. She coordinated everything with the vendors, personal items, reception, decor, including moving our floral arch/cocktail furniture to the reception area for dinner. She was always on hand to help with absolutely anything I needed - from helping me find a toothpick, mints, working with our photographer to move our first dance and photos around to accommodate the better light, to helping me pick out grass from my wedding dress from photos - I can honestly say that Maryssa made our wedding everything we ever wanted it to be. She even helped pack up all our drinks, personal items, decor into our car the night of so that the next morning we had everything ready to go.
Lastly, on top of everything I already mentioned, Maryssa helped us navigate our wedding through COVID-19. We originally had our date scheduled for 2020, and she worked with us to not only move to a new date, but coordinate with our vendors to ensure they were also free, share information about the latest regulations and how things were progressing. She was always on top of everything, staying calm and helpful throughout the entire process.
We couldn't recommend Maryssa and Save the Date highly enough!!Maryssa and her team are the absolute best - I would 100% recommend her to anyone planning a wedding or any other event. As someone who has never done this before and was overwhelmed by the amount of information and options, I really appreciated how communicative and responsive she was to everything I've ever asked. As others have mentioned, oftentimes she already had taken care of / thought of the things I was asking already!
Vendor Management: Maryssa managed every.single.one. of our vendors to the minute detail. From ensuring that she had the contact information, contracts, etc. of everyone we planned to work with, she coordinated directly with them to ensure that everyone knew where and when they had to be the day of.
Attention to Detail: Maryssa's attention to detail is incredible. From sending us reminders of things we had to do a few months out to a month out, to coordinating the weekend schedule down to the minute (our family members even commented at our detailed our schedule was!) As someone who is also super detail oriented, I really appreciated this about her. On the day of the wedding, she noticed that some farm tables did not match and contacted me immediately with a few options of how to proceed - it was so detailed that I wasn't even stressed that this was happening the day-of!
Day-Of Coordination: WOW. just wow - Maryssa executed our wedding absolutely flawlessly. She coordinated everything with the vendors, personal items, reception, decor, including moving our floral arch/cocktail furniture to the reception area for dinner. She was always on hand to help with absolutely anything I needed - from helping me find a toothpick, mints, working with our photographer to move our first dance and photos around to accommodate the better light, to helping me pick out grass from my wedding dress from photos - I can honestly say that Maryssa made our wedding everything we ever wanted it to be. She even helped pack up all our drinks, personal items, decor into our car the night of so that the next morning we had everything ready to go.
Lastly, on top of everything I already mentioned, Maryssa helped us navigate our wedding through COVID-19. We originally had our date scheduled for 2020, and she worked with us to not only move to a new date, but coordinate with our vendors to ensure they were also free, share information about the latest regulations and how things were progressing. She was always on top of everything, staying calm and helpful throughout the entire process.

Forever thankful for this team
Maryssa and her team are absolute angels!
I first found Maryssa in the early Spring of 2019 when I had just started to plan our wedding and I was feeling a little lost with the process. I knew that hiring a planner would give me some peace of mind, but looking back, I know it was the best decision I could have made in regards to planning our wedding. My fiance and I were planning to get married June of 2020, and during the planning process, Maryssa and her team went above and beyond in every way. They are so organized and patient and they truly care about your needs and concerns. I'm a hyper-organized bride and I struggle with managing my stress, and Maryssa and her team were constantly putting me at ease. They always answered my questions and requests with kindness and grace.
When the pandemic hit, I was distraught. We were less than 100 days away from our wedding and the unimaginable had happened. Maryssa and her team guided me through the decision-making process and helped tremendously (both emotionally and practically) with postponing not one, but TWO weddings!
Suffice to say, Maryssa has helped me tirelessly over the last year and a half, and I can't begin to express how thankful I am to have her. I can't recommend her enough for any couple planning a wedding! She makes the whole process a breeze. Do yourself a favor and hire Save the Date!Maryssa and her team are absolute angels!

I’ve had the honor to work with Save the Date as a fellow vendor (makeup artist) and Maryssa is INCREDIBLE!! My brides are so relieved and stress free with their planning, even through the wedding morning! We all know we are in good hands because of Maryssa! She is amazing with communication and updates down to the fine details- she’s always on top of her game! Maryssa & her team is amazing
This review is long overdue. My husband and I got married in the last July and we hired Maryssa as our wedding planner. She was on the referral list of both my venue and my photographer (who has really high standard), and there isn't a single moment that we regret our choice. Maryssa is highly organized, responsive, and have great attention to details. We met a couple times in person to go through my wedding details and venue layout, she's very professional and well prepared so the whole process was very smooth. She also gave us decorative advice which fits my taste very well too. In addition to our in person meeting, we had a lot of communication through email, and she replies in a timely manner and answers my question right to the point. On our wedding day, she arrived on time to collect our decorative items / wedding favors etc, and she and her team worked like a ghost - you won't see them a lot but everything is set up beautifully. She also contacted all of my vendors ahead of time and worked with them closely on our big day. At the end of the wedding she collected all our belongs and sent them back to our room.
Maryssa help us to have our perfect dream wedding. I know a lot of people say there will always be crisis at weddings and it will never turn out to be the exact way you want, but mine was, thanks to Maryssa's help. I would highly recommend her to everyone. If you're the type that takes review number as a evaluating factors, just know Maryssa just started her own business (hence the number isn't as high as the business that has been running for years) and she is in fact a very experienced and professional wedding planner.
