Baby shower

My shower was perfect in every way! The food was delicious. The staff were so great to my family and friends and very attentive. Quick to respond and easy to have questions answered. Highly recommend this place for any event!

Absolutely Beautiful Location!!

The location is beautiful! So many spots for beautiful photos through out the day! Erin, Sal, Denise and the rest of the staff was amazing! Our guest were raving about the food and how amazing it was! I was able to see the reception room transform during the day, and the staff did an amazing job setting everything up and making our wedding dreams coming true! We couldn't be happier with how things turned out! We highly recommend Settles Hill to anyone and everyone!!

Amazing experience

Erin and Sal were absolutely wonderful! I am so excited to hold my special day at this venue. Our friend got married here and it was beautiful.

The perfect venue

Martin and the team at Settles hill made our wedding day beyond perfect. Martin made sure everything went smooth and everyone was where they needed to be. The food was amazing and our guests couldn’t rave about it enough. It was an absolutely perfect day and I was truly able to enjoy it thanks to Martin and crew.

Excellent country setting

I have been a guest at a couple venues from a banquet to birthday party, both times done very well. Service was excellant. I love their country setting and am glad i will be able to have my venue here.

We loved Settles Hill. The outdoor ceremony space was beautiful, and the reception area was ideal. Martin was very helpful. My mother and i made three quilts we wanted to display at the wedding, and even though there was no easy way to hang them up Martin was able to hang them in a prominent position. Just an example of the great service available at Settles Hill. Best value in the area as well.

Choosing Settles Hill for our wedding was the perfect decision. As an "older" couple we had both the ceremony and reception at this venue. Martin and his staff made our experience perfect from beginning to end. My decorations were set up perfect with all details met. The food was outstanding!!! Settles Hill this my dream come true wedding day. We truly couldn't have been Happier!! Thank you Martin and staff :)

If anyone is looking for a venue in the Albany NY location I would go with Settles Hill but of course if you want an outdoor wedding!

Settles hill was outstanding! From the very first meeting to our best day ever, the entire staff was amazing! Pricing was the best in the area and very reasonable!! I would do it again in a heart beat!! Highly recommend Settles Hill!

Settles Hill was the perfect choice for my daughter's wedding!! Throughout the process of planning to the last minutes of the reception, we were so thankful and impressed on how wonderful everything and everyone there provided the hopes and dreams of a perfect wedding to come true!!!

My husband and I got married at Settles Hill this past September and can't brag enough about the service we received at Settles Hill. Not only were Martin, Sal, and staff professional and friendly, but they also went above and beyond to make our day perfect. For example, we had an issue with another vendor and Martin did everything he could to correct it even when it wasn't their fault.. In addition to outstanding service, the food was AMAZING!! Our guests still tell us how delicious everything was and we loved everything we had. Thank you Settles Hill!

My fiancé and I knew we wanted a reception venue that was not a hotel ballroom and that captured fall in upstate New York at its best. We visited a few other places but they were too "rustic," which was not our theme. When we walked in Settles Hill and saw the beautiful hardwood floors of their banquet room, we knew we had found our venue. The grounds of SH allowed us to get our first-look photos with autumn as the backdrop. Martin was more than helpful throughout the entire process. We wanted a station reception and he and Sal (the owner) allowed us to basically make up our menu and even let my mom design the layout of the tables as we were using both circle and rectangular tables. Everything went smoothly on the day-of and all of our guests commented on how great the food was. A small thing did get overlooked for cocktail hour (but no one was any the wiser) and Martin made sure to reimburse us personally before we left at the end of our reception. Overall we were so so happy with Settles Hill. They were amazing and helped make our day so special.

Martin, Sal and all of the staff at Settles Hill are wonderful to work with. Every single time I visited Settles Hill (and I visited quite a few times) everyone greeted me with a smile, offered something to drink and made me feel at ease. The food was wonderful and everything from the parking lot to the bathrooms were very well kept. I view quite a few other venues that either had pretty exteriors but were lacking on the interiors or had a beautiful reception space but didn't quite have the feel of the outdoor ceremony space I was looking for. Settles Hill looks just as beautiful on the inside as it does on the outside. They have a lot of really pretty seasonal decor which makes it easy to focus your budget on personal touches instead of starting from scratch. Martin was always willing to meet my requests and make the wedding ours. He was very responsive to my phone calls and e-mails and made sure everything went very smoothly. We were able to set up most everything prior to our rehearsal (as we got married on a Friday) so that on the day of the wedding all I had to worry about was getting married. And because every thing had been laid out so well prior to - I didn't even have anything to worry about! After the wedding Martin and his team packed up everything we had left behind and stored it for us so we could pick it up the next day. I honestly don't have one bad thing to say about the place. You will not be disappointed!

We heard nothing but compliments on our choice of this Venue , The grounds were absolutely beautiful and the staff was so accommodating . Martin was awesome! He and Amy did a magnificent job making sure everything ran smooth. We would highly recommend Settles Hill for you event.

We had our wedding on Friday October 9th. We had booked the event last October 2014. Martin was great to work with and then we meet with MaryBeth who was in charge of setting everything up for our wedding, she was wonderful to work with as well. One of the main reasons we chose this venue was because of the beautiful outdoor ceremony site they have, we based out entire ceremony off of it being outside, well it rained ALL day long (we were both so upset there was a chance our dream ceremony was not going to happen like we had hoped for) Well about 30 minutes before the ceremony was to begin, all of a sudden, the sky opened up and the rain started to clear, Martin and his crew were wonderful.....they all grabbed a punch of towels and went out and wiped down every single chair so me and my wife could have the ceremony we both dreamed of! They made it happen and it was amazing! From there the rest of the night was everything we had wished it would be! And the food was AMAZING!!! I recommend Settle Hills as they went above and beyond to make our wedding day beautiful and memorable for both us and all our guests.
I also don't want to forget how Martin helped me fulfill my the most important part of my wedding ceremony for me, my father passed away about a year and a half ago so I wanted to include him in my ceremony but was not able to find what I needed to do so, well Martin was able to!! My father was a pigeon racer and Martin was able to help me find someone to release pigeons during our wedding ceremony in honor of my father!! It was amazing and I can't thank Martin enough for helping me find pigeons! It meant the world to me!!

I would absolutely recommend Settle Hills to anyone looking for a wonderful place to have the biggest day of their lives :)

Tyson and I celebrated our Happily Ever After at Settles Hill October 10th, and there are barely words to describe how perfect our special day was! Every single detail was executed exactly as we had envisioned it. Our guests are still talking about how impressed they were with everything from the friendliness of the staff to the decorations to the amazing food to how flawlessly the whole day progressed from ceremony to reception. We couldn't have asked for anything more. Martin, you are the best! Thank you to you and the entire Settles Hill staff!

We had our wedding at Settles Hill on August 8th and it was perfect! Martin and Marybeth did such an amazing job putting together all of our ideas- it all came out so beautifully. They were with us every step of the planning period, and offered advice when needed. They were also very accommodating for my 91 year old grandmother, and provided her with a special chair so it would be easier for her to get up. Everything ran smoothly and they were prepared to deal with any and all issues that could have arisen (which thankfully, no big ones did!). The setting is perfect for anyone looking for a "country" wedding that is elegant. The ceremony area is just lovely. Martin is AMAZING. I would recommend this venue to everyone! They have reasonable prices and are very accommodating to everything you may want to do. There are no extra fees like cake cutting and such. Everything is included and they really care about your day. My wedding was so successful because of Martin and his crew!

This place is a hidden gem. I first saw it for my brothers rehearsal dinner years ago and when it was my turn to get married I knew exactly where to go. The outdoor space is amazing and beautiful for an outdoor wedding. The staff is amazing and the food is to die for. I could not be happier with my choice.

Amazing Place In The Middle Of Nowhere. Everyone Told Us How Beautiful It Was There. Martin And His Crew Were Awesome! Such A Beautiful Outdoor Venue. If You Like Trees And The Outdoor Then This Is The Place To Go. The Bar Area Is Awesome, The Food Is Great And The Bathrooms Are Very Nice. Plus They Give You A Room For The Girls To Get Ready Right Off The Bar Area And It Was Pretty Good Sized. They Pretty Much Let You Run The Place. I'm Very Glad We had Our Wedding At Settles Hill. It Is Definitely An Unknown Gem! Go Check It Out!

We had a wonderful wedding ceremony and reception at Settles Hill. The Banquet Manager, Martin, was super helpful throughout the whole planning process and the day of. Thank god he was there as he answered everyone's questions and helped us, the Bride and Groom, focus on our wedding and not all the details. The staff was absolutely great to work with, everyone was polite, attentive, and kind to us and our guests. The food was excellent, I am still receiving phone calls and texts about how great everything was. You know they take great pride in their food when the owner himself is one of the chefs. The price was unbeatable for the service and quality you receive. We fell in love with this place right away and are so glad we did. The ceremony was delightful and elegant as was the reception. Hard to find places that include a lot of things for the prices they offer. I would highly recommend Settles Hill to any and all and I will. We will be going back for their Sunday brunches they have between November and March. Well worth a visit!! Thank you Settles Hill for helping us throw such a fantastic wedding!!

We found everyone at Settles Hill to be way beyond what we could have hoped for on our special day. We wanted things to be a bit different then the usual wedding (being a older couple), Martin( the banquet Manager) helped us come up with different ideas ,to keep with our idea of simple and elegant.
Our cocktail hour was so wonderful ! Everyone was warm and friendly , even when I asked for a few scallops wrapped in bacon because my husband hadn't had any , they went , got more and brought it right to him.
Dinner was delicious and our desert was a sundae bar( per Martins suggestion because we didn't want a cake),so different and everyone raved about it.
Thank you very much Martin and the staff at Settles Hill Banquet House!

I knew the moment I walked in this was the place for me. everything was taken care of I had no worries the day of the wedding. Great value for what you get. FOOD IS GREAT I have had many people tell me it was the best meal they ever had.

Settles Hill was the perfect location for our wedding. We love the outdoors so the outside ceremony was an awesome place to have the wedding. The inside is big and is able to accommodate the amount of guests we needed. Martin and Sal did an amazing job with the food and with the set up. They were able to keep us on time when our ceremony started later then we expected. They are very easy to work with and Martin is willing to help you with anything you need or want!!!

We had our ceremony and reception here and it was beautiful. Nicely landscaped outside and great for taking pictures, Sal the owner was amazing to work with along with Emmy! We were having a beached theme wedding and he was willing to let me decorate any way I want and it came out beautiful! The food was amazing..eggplant roulade was my favorite and the food at cocktail hour was amazing as well.All my guests enjoyed it all. Thanks again for everything:) Michele and Sean

Sal and his team were all great! Settles Hill is so stunning inside and out. Sal allowed up to personalize the place as if it were our own in order to achieve the theme we were going for. He also helped us customize a menu that really worked for us and our budget. I have been to plenty of weddings in the Capitol region and Settles Hill has been by far the best! The only con to this location is the distance from hotels, you will definably need to shuttle guests so that they can enjoy the wedding and reception as much as you will!

We had a small wedding at Settles Hill yesterday. The grounds are gorgeous, the food was amazing and we had tons of compliments. Martin Ewald is very approachable and fun to work with. We LOVED the cocktail room and I really hope I have an excuse to book another party there someday. A note to Martin - thanks for handling some of the chaos so unbelievable well that day. You rock.

Unbelievably reasonable prices! Food was amazing, venue is beautiful and well maintained. Staff was attentive and very easy to work with. We received so many compliments on the location.

The location is absolutely beautiful! They need to work on professionalism, from complaining about other couples and changing policies for different people. The wait staff isn't the friendlist, they do their job. Overall I think there are a lot of areas they could improve on, maybe getting a female wedding coordinator type on staff to give a little more guidance. Location wise; it's a LONG drive to any hotels, but thats what happens with weddings in the country.
