Seth was AWESOME to work with!

Seth Kaye was amazing to work with. We chose Seth because his photographs had a sense of capturing special moments in the style of a photo journalist as well as an outstanding wedding photographer. We worked with Seth for both engagement photos and at our wedding. All of his photographs are vibrant, full of color, capturing special and authentic moments. Seth is also just a genuinely nice person to spend time with who is thoughtful and caring. We just got our wedding photographs back and are not disappointed. We would highly recommend Seth for capturing your wedding or any special event. Should we need a photographer again we will definitely think of Seth first.

Hire Seth!

Seth photographed two weddings for us - our small, backyard wedding during the height of the pandemic and our full wedding a year later. We feel like we really got to know Seth through this whole process and are so thankful for everything he did for us. He is an amazingly talented photographer and also just a wonderful person. The photos from our first wedding were more beautiful than we could have hoped and we know our second wedding photos will be just as beautiful. Seth is so professional, quick at communicating, open to suggestions, patient, knowledgeable, fun to work with, the list goes on. We can’t wait to hire him for future family photo shoots to come!

July 31st 2020 Wedding

Hired Seth to photograph our July 31st 2020 wedding.
Leading up to our big day we greatly appreciated Seth's professionalism and attention to detail. We spoke a few times before our wedding- once being on Zoom. Seth was very accommodating to all of our requests and even worked with us as our plans changed a bit due to covid restrictions etc.

On the day of our wedding Seth arrived early- which we greatly appreciated. He and his assistant did a great job of making sure to photograph all of our requests and wrangle in our family for our group pictures.

Following our wedding Seth sent us a few images within 2 weeks. They were beautiful. When we received all of the images we were SO impressed. Seth captured all of the valuable moments of our wedding. His images told the story of our wedding in a unique way. We will treasure his photos/artwork forever. Highly recommend!

Happy Everafter

When I was in the search of a Photographer for our 10th Anniversary, I remembered some pictures I saw a few years ago in a friend's daughter's wedding. I immediately said to myself this is the photographer I want. And I was right. Since the first time we contact him and to after the date of the event he advice us in every detail. He make sure that we would not miss anything and that he could capture everything. It was a really good experience working with Seth and all the guest were very pleased of having him taking pictures. Photography that tells a story

We chose Seth because we were looking for a documentary photographer, someone who would tell a story and capture the experience, not just the poses. We couldn’t be happier that we did. Seth and his second photographer CD were not only great wedding guests, but they’re incredibly talented photographers. Their photos are fresh, creative, and personal. They managed to capture all the important moments we were part of, and many we didn’t even know had happened. We really appreciated Seth’s services from the first meeting, when he interviewed us to learn a bit about what’s important to us (and then put that to work in his photography). Communications were great throughout. After the wedding, both he and CD were game to come with us for a walk in the woods, complete with a healthy population of mosquitoes, and produced some beautiful photographs despite the backlighting. We also very much appreciate that the whole set of photos are ours to keep/share/print without extra cost. Our only challenge, and it’s a difficult one, is the need to choose from all these fantastic photos to decide what to print and share.

The most important thing for my wedding was finding the right photographer to document it - and Seth was the absolute best. He is skilled and professional, with a lot of experience in the photojournalistic style which is what I was looking for. I wanted my wedding pictures to tell the story of my wedding rather than being a bunch of stuffy formals and posed pictures. He was communicative, personable, and extremely attentive to detail. My husband doesn't relish being in pictures but throughout our engagement shoot and the wedding day, Seth made him feel and (more importantly) look comfortable. He also delivered our final pictures well ahead of the estimated timeline and they are better than I could have ever imagined! We have received so many compliments on both the way Seth worked at the wedding - always there to capture every moment without being intrusive - and the actual pictures we have to look through for years to come. Having been in many other weddings and seen a number of other photographers, it is evident to me that Seth is a step above the majority of the vendors out there. He is organized, has his process down, and is always prepared. His pricing is extremely reasonable as he delivers a high quality of pictures and professionalism that other photographers are not capable of. Working with him through the entire wedding process was a dream and I would recommend him to any and everyone!! Thank you Seth!

If you are looking for a creative photographer go with Seth Kaye! Seth was a pleasure to work with and you can see how much he loves his job. One of the reasons why we picked Seth for our wedding is because he is well known in the area and the other reason is my husband who is a DJ. Seth and my husband would be at gigs together and Seth would always remember my husband’s name and make the effort to come over and say hello.
My guests at our wedding were talking about how Seth and his Assistant were right there taking pictures of everything and they didn’t miss a moment. Seth and his assistant thank you very much for going above and beyond for our wedding day! We can’t wait to see the photos and we already know how beautiful they are going to be. I cannot express how deeply grateful we are in having Seth as our photographer.
My mother became gravely ill about 6 weeks before our wedding. The news was sudden and we were given only 24 hours to put together a wedding by her bedside. Knowing how much she wanted to be there my husband and I headed into a mad dash to get everything in order. I called Seth who we had booked for our ‘original’ wedding, hoping that he would be able to photograph such a bittersweet day. Within 30 minutes I got a call, with the most comforting, “I’ll be there.” You can imagine through the chaos I was experiencing to have someone with a calm steady voice was what I needed in the moment. Seth was an absolute joy to work with! From the beginning he was super responsive and creative. He made our March engagement photo shoot look wonderful (considering it was outside with no leaves etc).

His team on our wedding day was amazing. Everyone was flexible and easy going. They made sure to capture the moments without taking over the show. Our pictures took place with 30mph winds in 45 degree temps. The team really cared that I (the bride) didn't freeze to death but also didn't sacrifice the creativity of the pictures. They were so organized and efficient it was amazing!

Seth was always two steps ahead of me (and for a type A bride that's hard to do). He got shots of things I didn't even think about. He knew the venue so well and planned ahead for everything. We felt so at ease knowing that he was going to capture our special day and we wouldn't have to worry at all. Seth and his team made the day so fun, we can say we genuinely enjoyed the photo taking portion of the festivities!

We loved Seth Kaye Photography and would highly recommend him. Seth was very accommodating in scheduling our engagement photos quickly before the weather got cold. My husband doesn’t like having his photo taken and often looks very unhappy in them, but Seth was so easygoing that he put my husband at ease, getting some great engagement shots.
Words cannot describe the day of our wedding and how fabulous Seth really was. We had an early wedding, and Seth even arrived earlier than expected. He was very efficient, with ear-piece walky-talkies allowing him to communicate easily with his assistant photographers. These other photographers scouted good locations for the first look while Seth stayed with me while getting ready and they even brought the groom over once I was ready.
Seth was unobtrusive in all his photos and was very true to his Photo-ninja title. Each image was beautifully framed and captured with an artistic eye. He was able to capture more than just pretty pictures… he captured the emotions of the moment with every image. He was able to capture beautiful, precious, fleeting moments and captured them so well. During our first viewing of the images, we were transported back to the moment and I’m sure these images will always bring us back to that day. Seth was technically adept, having incredible skill at handling all lighting conditions. We have crisp and clear images of people’s faces and movements from all types of lighting scenarios, from low-light green houses, dark interiors, well-lit indoors, bright sunny days, inside tents with bright backlighting, and cloudy overcast. We highly recommend Seth!

Seth did the photography for my wedding a few weeks ago, along with his second shooter Lesley and assistant Ian, and they were all wonderful. All three were warm, friendly, and professional, and did a great job of blending in and taking pictures unobtrusively. During our posed group photos, Ian made silly faces and noises to get us to smile at the camera, and he was hilarious! He even got our dog (who was the ringbearer) to look straight at the camera by making animal noises.

Seth was incredibly helpful from the beginning. He always answered our questions quickly and thoughtfully, and went over the timeline of the day with us beforehand, so we felt prepared and knew what to expect. We also did an engagement shoot with him and Lesley, which was a lot of fun, and the pictures came out amazing!

I can't wait to get our pictures--I'm sure they're going to be amazing, based on our engagement photos and all the other pictures of his that I've seen. He took some really interesting, creative shots, including one of me and my husband behind a wall of paper parasols, and one of us silhouetted in a fairy-tale pose.

Having Seth as our photographer was a great experience--he went above and beyond in every possible way--and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a wedding photographer in Connecticut or western Massachusetts!

Seth Kaye and his versatile and fun assistants, Leslie and Ian, did the photography at our daughter's wedding on May 1, 2016.

They were professional, sensitive (the MOB has camera-flash sensitivity, which wasn't a problem here), and totally a joy to work with.

They were there, capturing every moment, but never in the way.

We chose Seth because of the quality and style of his work, along with his very outgoing personality. We could be ourselves around him, and it was easy to trust him to provide us with the perfect pictures to capture both our engagement and wedding. The quality of his pictures are top notch, and his photo-journalist style is reflected in the many candid pictures we love. Our favorites are the ones of us getting ready throughout the day. We love seeing pictures of what the other was experiencing since we didn't see each other until I walked down the aisle. We had enough photographers so that Seth could stay with me and another sated with my groom throughout the day. It's amazing to see the moments that Seth and his team were able to capture; moments I had no idea he had gotten pictures of. All of our guests were very impressed with the ninja like ability of the photographers to be everywhere all the time but also not ever in the way or causing a disruption. Seth was our photo ninja! We couldn't believe some of the angles and shots he captured, all without us even noticing. The months leading up to the wedding Seth was very attentive to all of the details of the day, clearly ensuring that he would be completely prepared to make the most of our day. He came with two assistants to be sure all bases were covered, which turned out to be extremely helpful in managing all of the children in our wedding party. All around a great experience working with Seth, with extremely professional pictures to last us a lifetime!

Seth & his team demonstrated exactly why professional photography matters. We had an unconventional wedding (a very small and intimate event to become legally married after having been married since 2002), and we had to make all of our arrangements remotely as we lived far away. Seth's communication both online and over the phone were fantastic - he "got" us right away. He & his team were at our dinner the night before the wedding & on site for the wedding, bringing extra lighting equipment for the cavernous space. He had a great eye for spontaneous happenings and captured a lot of the humor and all of the strange, magical moments that popped up. His personality was wonderful and he felt like one of the gang by the end. Wish we lived nearer so that we could have him photograph some of our events - he's got the gift! Also, even though he has done celebrity weddings, his prices were extremely reasonable.

Seth Kaye was extremely professional during our wedding photography process. He set up meetings before and after our big day to discuss the types of photos expected, and then reviewed them with us. His photographs of our ceremony chronicled a nice timeline and captured so many special moments. The weather that day limited the variety of shots possible, but Seth and his team still did a very nice job getting various shots. We were also very happy to have our guests be able to use the photo booth he provided. The photo booth added an extra element of fun for us and our guests. At the end of the process we received a USB with all of the photos of our day on it, this is a nice feature to be able to review the pictures. Seth also uses social media well to display the event and keep couples updated throughout the process. Although a little higher in cost compared to other photographers we looked at, we would recommend him for wedding photography

Seth and his team were extremely professional all the while, maintaining upbeat attitudes and keeping our entire wedding party laughing and having a great time. He did a fantastic job capturing our wedding and the photographs are something we will cherish forever. Seth Kaye recently had the incredibly difficult job of photographing another photographer’s wedding, and he did it with style, grace, and professionalism. Seth was the captain on a large team of highly skilled creatives at our recent wedding, managing multiple photographers, videographers, audio set ups, and coordinators with the skill of a conductor, playing to everyone’s strengths while making sure we never felt overwhelmed by the attention. He took time to chat with the bridal party, had the bride and groom laughing throughout the day, and was able to get beautiful images, despite the day being chilly and overcast. He arrived early, stayed late, and was so committed to his vision that I saw him contort himself into inhuman positions to get the perfect shot. Professionally, we cannot say enough about the quality of Seth’s instruction, direction, equipment, and team. Personally, let’s just say this, at one point he was pulled onto the dance floor during the reception- much to the delight of all the wedding party- and was able to dance his way out WHILE taking photos of joyful guests. Our final gallery was given the attention it deserved and delivered within a reasonable timeframe. Seth welcomed our family to attend a private showing of all our images. We all shed a few more tears reliving all the meaningful moments that made up our perfect day. Thank you for exceeding our expectations around every corner.

We hired Seth Kaye to be our photographer for our wedding. I know that he took pictures at our wedding because I have seen his amazing work, but he was so stealth and discreet that I feel like I hardly saw him the entire night. He managed to perfectly balance being everywhere to capture the moment without being intrusive. All of our guests have commented on how great Seth was. He listened to all of our ideas and concerns in the months leading up to the wedding and was so enthusiastic at the wedding. As both my husband and guests said "he really loves what he does and it shows". He also does stunning photo albums which I also recommend.

Seth Kaye was fantastic to work with. He took our wedding photos in January of 2013. He was very professional and wonderful to work with and always made my husband and I feel like we were his priority. Every meeting we had with Seth he was very attentive and really listened to what we had to say. On our wedding day, Seth was awesome. He was the perfect balance of being there when we needed him and being out of the way so that the attention wasn't focused on him. The pictures he took were amazing and so different from the traditional wedding photos you see. He approached our wedding from more of a journalistic style and really captured the moments of the day rather than just having people pose for pictures. Seth loves his job & you can tell b/c it carries through to his work. He's always available to talk when we had questions, even if they were silly. He gave us advice & helped us look for videographers & other vendors. When we signed w/ Seth he was great in regards to how we break down payments. Seth understood that we also had other expenses like student loans. Even though he had a pymt plan in place, he was willing to adjust it if we needed to. We had Seth do our engagement & wedding & have gotten many compliments on both. Seth makes it magical. He's very good at capturing candid moments that you don't remember. And when you see that photo, it makes you happy & bubbly b/c it brings back a rush of these amazing emotions from the day that you otherwise, have already forgotten.
I also had a special project I wanted to work on as a surprise for my groom & Seth was AWESOME! The project came out absolutely amazing & my groom had no idea! Seth was a great partner in crime! Best of all my groom LOVED it! Best wedding gift for your future partner EVER! And had the pleasure of working w/ Mrs Kaye, she ran the photobooth at our wedding & she's spunky & energetic!
Our photos captured all the details we put into the day & there were a lot of little details! We had a ton of DIY stuff! Seth was open to trying new things. We all just clicked, he understood us & our aesthetic. SO many photos! We got to relive our wedding day at the preview session. We didn't remember our day at all because it was so hectic but with all those photos he took, it was like we went back in time & did it over.
We just received our wedding album, again, it was PERFECT! The story it tells is the story we wanted, our story.
Not only are we proud to have had the privilege to work w/ Seth but we have all grown close through this entire process, Rob & I consider him a friend now. If we need more advice or help, we know he's there. That's the type of person he is, kind, easy to get along with & great man

We give Seth our full recommendation. He was reliable, timely, and, perhaps most importantly, managed to get wonderful photos of the day without ever forcing anything. He and his assistant did a great job of being there for all right moments without disrupting the flow of the ceremony or party. And he was flexible to any changes or suggestions we had, while still providing helpful suggestions along the way.

Seth Kaye is an amazing photographer! My brother and sister in law used him for their wedding and I was so impressed by his professionalism and quality of work that I hired him to do my wedding the following year! One thing that I love about Seth is his prompt responses to emails, phone calls, etc. He is very flexible to meet with. Now that we have our album and all of our pictures, people are amazed about how great our pictures came out. Seth is creative and we got some awesome shots of our special day. I refer Seth to people I know all the time. We couldn't have asked for a better photographer!! When you see his work, you'll know exactly what I am talking about.

Seth was very in tune with what I wanted for my wedding pictures. I am a very detail oriented person and he fulfilled my request to photograph each and every detail. He was great to meet with and is very personable and friendly. Seth is also very professional and made sure to take charge of getting in all of the pictures that I wanted. It was an easy choice for us to choose Seth. I am also a wedding photographer and knew the quality of work he gives. The images he created are timeless and beautiful. My husband and I are pretty geeky. That being said we were on the market for a wedding photographer that understood not only where we were coming from but who had a keen eye for capturing all the nerdy details we had planned for our special day.

Enter Seth.

I knew after our first meeting that I wanted to work with Seth. He is warm, easy going, incredibly professional and responsive, fun, and amazing at what he does. Seth caught so many amazing and candid moments on our wedding day and the pictures truly tell the story of the day. Honestly, I think he must be part ninja because he got so many amazing shots and I barely noticed him at all. He even did our getting ready shots and somehow managed to fade into the background while secretly documenting everything.

All of our friends and family love the pictures just as much as we do and I am so very thankful that we choose Seth. He is the best at catching the narrative of your day and so easy going that you know you you are in good hands.

Your wedding day photos are one of the most important things about your wedding. And Seth is the best. I can't say enough about him and his quality of work. I can tell you that you should book him.

Seth Kaye is a man who knows exactly how to capture the important moments of a wedding on film. Katie and I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Kaye for our wedding at Look Park in Northampton, MA. We started with a meeting where we sat down and discussed the events of our wedding in his gorgeous studio. He was very personable and put us at ease when he spoke about his unique photojournalism technique and how they would capture our wedding forever. He also gave us a short presentation on his fantastic work and offered us bottled water during our meeting. We left that initial meeting having given our down payment and with a certainty that we had picked the right man for the job.

Leading up to the wedding, he remained in contact with us regarding payment and next steps, which continued to keep us at ease. We had one last in-person meeting where we discussed formal portraits and finalized our plans.

On the big day, Seth and his two wonderful assistants Leslie and Kat, worked together with a professionalism and efficiency which I have never seen. In many weddings, I've seen photographers that are blatantly in the action and feel intrusive. With Seth, there were many times where I had completely forgotten they were there, only to look over my shoulder off the side of the dance floor to see Seth taking a candid with his camera raised above his head! Seeing how Seth, Leslie, and Kat worked together to frame their subjects and create a solid composition, I know Seth's pictures are the best that could possibly have been taken. They take pride in their work and it shows in the end product.

My wife and I waffled a little bit on the price, as he is a bit on the expensive side, but please be assured that he is worth every cent. With your payment, you get unparalleled professionalism, fantastic photographs, and some of the nicest and most understanding team of professionals I've ever met. You get one chance to document your wedding: spend the money and hire Seth.

I had always admired Seth's work, and was very excited to meet with him.
He was very kind, taking the time to listen to our desires and vision of the day. We found him easygoing and professional and quickly booked him.

We emailed back and forth several times before the wedding and met about a month out to go over family photographs. Modern families can be complicated and he was so easy to work with as we planned. He took detailed notes.

On the day of, I hardly knew he was around!

I anxiously awaited our photographs, and instantly was touched by all that he captured. He seemed to be everywhere at once, creating beautiful pictures, capturing moments and love. Each time I look at our photographs I am touched by the richness of them. I'm very pleased with the quality and the breadth of the photos.

We received all the photographs as a 4*6, and he included a little flash drive loaded with photographs ready for blogs and facebook. Huge! They website he makes made it easy to share photos with friends and family. I'm so pleased with Seth and highly recommend his services.

Because of Seth, we have beautiful photos to remember our wedding day. He is very accommodating and professional. I loved his unintrusive style. After a while you hardly notice he's taking your picture (he truly is a photo ninja). And because of this, you get a very real and natural representation of how the day went, rather than just a collection of posed photos. His photos truly do tell the story of your wedding day and we would highly recommend Seth!

Seth was a amazing person to work with as well as an extremely talented photographer. He was easy to work with from across the country (we live in LA and got married in MA) and really captured our special day. He really met the needs of both myself and my husband. Seth was awesome to work with for our wedding photography. Living near Boston but getting married in Western Massachusetts, I did not have to worry about coordinating with Seth. He was very flexible, quick to respond, and listened to all of our requests throughout the planning process, at the wedding, and post-wedding. Seth is a gifted photojournalist who captured the spirit of each moment during our celebration. He went beyond what was expected. Seth moved quickly and with precision. He was a delight to work with and made everyone in our party feel relaxed. What we appreciated the most was how seriously Seth took his craft. We have seen other wedding photographers seem like they were painting-by-numbers or phoning it in. Not Seth. He pushed himself to try new photo techniques, and seized every opportunity to frame unique and interesting shots. All this resulted in stunning photographs from our day. He was worth it! We hope to continue using his services in the future.

Seth managed to take so many candid, yet meaningful shots throughout the day. Just shows he is definitely in the right business! He has a great eye for the right shot, for sure. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone! He doesn't take the traditional photos you see from years past...he is fresh and ingenious with the shots he captures. You want to look back years down the road and feel like they are all classic and I have no doubt we will!!

Seth was great. Beyond just being a top notch leader in the field of photography he was able to really take control of a variety of aspects of the wedding and the other vendors to get things done. While I really appreciate the quality of our photos I'm also thankful for the other aspects of the wedding he was able to take charge of in order to get our pictures done. As the groom I felt it was a pretty chaotic situation and having him take charge of these other aspects was something I appreciated. Seth is on the pricey side but worth it; you get what you pay for in these kinds of endeavors. Seth really captured our memories of a lifetime and we recommend him highly.

Seth is an amazing photographer and listened to what we wanted while still incorporating his own ideas. His eye beautifully captured he nature of our day and our excitement about it.
