Wonderful Experience

We met with Dortha at Set the Mood Floral and immediately knew we wanted her to be the florist for my daughter's wedding! Not only was Dortha kind and knowledgeable, but she also understood our vision. Dortha is a great communicator, and she ensured we knew what flowers would be in season and within our budget. Everything from the bridal bouquet to the centerpieces was gorgeous! We can't thank Dortha enough for making our daughter's dream wedding a reality. I would hire her again in a heartbeat!

I had an amazing experience with my wedding florist, Dortha! From start to finish, she made the floral selection process easy and enjoyable. She guided me every step of the way, offering expert advice while always keeping my vision in mind. She was incredibly responsive and available to answer any questions I had, which made the whole process feel smooth and stress-free. Wonderful Florist

Dortha was wonderful to work with! Going in we had no idea of what we wanted with our flowers. Dortha guided us through flower selection and color matching and arrangements. She was always open to our preferences and always had a suggestion when we weren't sure what to do. She was very accommodating of our budget and helped us pick out flower arrangements to stay within budget. She was kind and experienced and we highly recommend her to anyone looking for flower arrangements.

Dortha is amazing!!

Set the Mood Floral did an exceptional job! Dortha nailed it with my wedding bouquet and she was so easy and fun to work with! She was very quick to respond back to me and my wedding planner. I was blown away at her ability to recreate what I’ve shown her from just pictures on Pinterest. It was everything and more! I highly recommend Set the Mood Floral!

Dortha’s Got The Touch!

Dortha was extremely professional and knowledgeable. I had a vision for our wedding, and because of the time of year in Arizona she helped me select what would do best in the Arizona heat, and in the mean time, made my vision look foolish with what she came up with! Her talent and eye for detail was high quality and we will be recommending her from here on out! Dortha also came by while myself as a bride was waiting in the bridal suite to be waiting to walk down the aisle, in a very nervous setting she made me feel relaxed and ready to see my ceremony and reception hall. Can’t thank her enough for that moment as a bride.

Simply perfect!

Dortha at Set the Mood floral was phenomenal. Since our first meeting, she was attentive, creative, and even patient as I sorted through what we wanted for our special day. She was kind enough to make mockups and took our feedback into consideration when making the final pieces. I could not have asked for a better result. Everything was gorgeous, from the bouquets, to the greenery backdrop, to the elegant centerpieces. I loved it! I was honestly sad when I realized that I wouldn't be able to have my flowers forever...so I got them preserved! Thank you Dortha for making our special day come true!!

Amazing Service & Beautiful Flowers

Set the Mood Floral did an incredible job with our flowers! We went into wedding planning with no idea of what we wanted for flowers. However, Dortha was able to make designs that matched perfectly with our wedding. Many guests commented on how beautiful they were and how much they loved them. I didn’t expect to care about the flowers so much, but when I saw how perfect they were I was so happy we had found Set the Mood Floral. If I would’ve planned better, I would’ve found a way to get my bouquet pressed so I could keep it, it was that beautiful! Dortha herself is such a friendly and easy to talk to person. She was great at communication for the entire process. It was all at a very reasonable price as well! I’d really recommend Set the Mood Floral for anyone’s wedding.

Beyond perfect. Amazing person and talented professional florist!

At a time that many florists are taking advantage of post COVID times, Dortha simply came in to provide us with what we wanted as a wedding client. No preset minimums. She designed around what we wanted. Her custom designs and creative ideas were beyond our expectation. We truly love her! Anyone would be blessed to have her design the flowers for their special event too……

Fantastic Florals on a Budget

Set the Mood Floral is such a fantastic company. Dortha was so helpful and was really mindful that I was on a bit of a tight budget. She helped me to stick to that budget without sacrificing for lower quality flowers. She did both mine and my sister's wedding and I would absolutely recommend her services to anyone looking to get married.

She’s truly the best

She was so amazing. She was paid so much attention to the details and made all of my wedding dreams become a reality. Even at the last minute we had some additions and she was on top of it to make it happen. Seriously could not recommend her enough!! She is hands down one of the best vendors we worked with throughout the whole wedding process (if not the best vendor) :). Couldn’t recommend her enough!!

Best experience ever!!

Dortha with Set the Mood Floral made our wedding so very special!!! From our first meeting she really got what our theme was and designed the most beautiful centerpieces...when the reception room was revealed to us and all the guests, it literally took our breath away! Absolutely amazing at what she does!

I highly recommend Set the Mood Floral. Dortha listened, offered suggestions, and had the creative eye that we did not, which made the experience so easy. Dortha at Set the Mood is so talented! I was very intimidated by the floral part of planning for my daughter's wedding and she totally put me at ease. She suggested beautiful flowers that were within our budget and created arrangements that fit the mood and feel of the wedding perfectly. Her planning process was so easy too! When Dortha arrived on the wedding day we were blown away. She sets everything up in the blink of an eye so you can relax and enjoy. Dortha from Set the Mood Florals is reliable, flexible, and so kind! From the moment she emailed in response to my initial questions, she listened to the vision I had for our wedding and she immediately tailored her services to match it perfectly.

Dortha somehow seemed to know the exact look and feel that I wanted, even when I had trouble explaining it! She recommended beautiful types of flowers, sent helpful photos that allowed me to visualize the end product, and was incredibly flexible when we decided closer to the wedding to add more greenery and corsages.

On the day-of, when we had some additional florals due to a new guest count, Dortha rolled with the change seamlessly and she expertly draped flowers, lavender stems, and greenery by our alter, on the sign in tables, and on our wedding sign. It is imminently clear that she has a natural eye for design and attention to detail.

Meeting her after she decorated so beautifully on the day-of the wedding, she was tremendously sweet and wished us both well. Working with Dortha was truly a wonderful experience, beginning to end, and I would recommend her and her stunning work to anyone and everyone.

As a happy,repeat customer, I have to say that I LOVE the floral arrangements designed and created by Dortha at Set the Mood Floral!
It has been an absolute pleasure working with Dortha three times now (one wedding and two events). From the planning stages to the day of the event, Dortha's creative talent, experience, and professionalism undeniably made for a beautiful and memorable day. On each occasion, Dortha's floral were simply awe-inspiring. The flowers and greenery were pristine and every floral centerpiece or bouquet was arranged perfectly. Our guests were just as amazed with Dortha's beautiful work as we were.
At our most recent event, Dortha went above and beyond by assisting me with a table I planned on decorating myself...easier said, than done. She created a couple of on the spot arrangements that helped tie the event space together. Thank you Dortha...you're the best!

Dortha was amazing!! Not only did she travel to Colorado to be a part of our wedding, she was able to make an extra bridesmaid bouquet and groomsman boutinerre on the spot!! I added one of each and completely forgot to tell her...but she had brought extras (as a true professional would have) and whipped them up before the ceremony started! The bouquets and centerpieces were absolutely beautiful. Her vision of grasses and flowers on our dessert table turned out to be one of the most beautiful set ups of the wedding!! We loved everything she did and would recommend her to absolutely ANYONE!!

Dortha is an amazing woman! She was so kind to my husband and I. We ran into some trouble with our flowers about a month before the wedding and stepped right in a helped us when she didn't have to! She gave us the ability to create the wedding we wanted when things went a little south. Her flowers are beautiful, professional, and worth every last penny! Thank you so much Dortha!

Dortha will instantly put you at ease. She is a seasoned professional and can run with the ball with no supervision needed. I told her what I wanted, sent her a few pics, and when I showed up to my reception the room had been transformed into a magical twinkling forest with flowers, candles, and trees! I would trust her implicitly with all your wedding plans. She has superb taste and was respectful of our budget. She also negotiated with linen vendors for us.

A consummate professional from beginning to end, Set the Mood Floral is a true jack of all trades. I've known of their fine reputation for weddings over the years and this is the 4th time that we have used them for our corporate events. The majority of our events cater to over 300 team members, guest and hosts and each time we've had an event, the floral pieces have been a huge topic of conversation. They outdid themselves again, assisting in the artistic design of our reception pieces and the centerpieces in the dinner hall. They pride themselves on their customer service, delivery and product and never fall short. I would highly recommend them for any occasion and know you will be as satisfied with the end product as we were.

Dortha was an absolute pleasure to work with. I was planning a wedding within three months and the flowers were the one detail I didn't have a clear vision on. Dortha was flexible to meet with me, walk me through each flower corresponding to the colors and vibe I wanted, and then put together a full package outlining each piece we would have. I didn't want anything too traditional and she was on board with great ideas I would never have thought of! She made my vision come true and went beyond what I expected in a florist. I would recommend her to anyone looking for someone that will take the extra time, wants to get creative, and doesn't want to spend a fortune.

Dortha went out if her way to be both helpful and MANY TIMES flexible. I loved working with her. Her professionalism and insight was very calming for this very nervous bride. I can't thank dortha enough such a great helper.... I got married in July and usually flowers don't stay fresh in hot weather, but mine stayed fresh for days no kidding I was so happy , I even wanted to go with peonies but they were over my budget so I went with roses , but guess what dortha did?! She actually put few peonies in my bouquet what a great lady she is!!! Thank you so much and I surely will refer you to everyone I know cause you're just amazing :)

I can't say enough good things about my experience with Dortha. My wedding colors were navy and coral and I really wanted more of an orange coral than pink. Dortha listened to me and implemented her ideas beautifully. The first time. I cried on my wedding day was when I saw my flowers because they were perfect and exceeded my expectations. It was a delight working with Dortha. She grasped my vision of the wedding and elevated it to a whole other level. Since we did the bulk of our planning via email, I wasn't sure what to expect for the big day, but it turned out better than I ever imagined!
All of our guests kept raving about how beautiful the flowers were, and they couldn't believe that not only were they real. But they were blown away how perfect they were for the Colorado venue when they learned that Dortha and I only met once to discuss flowers, months before!

I used Dortha for my wedding flowers this March and she did an amazing job! When I had to make changes to my order she was always accommodating. I really liked how she had her own unique ideas instead of just copying something from a photo. And the flowers were amazing! My bridal bouquet was stunning and so vibrant. I just have to say how much I LOVED all my wedding flowers. It took me a long time to do this review, but Dortha definitely deserves this 5 star review. She was able to understand what I wanted for my flowers the first time we met, probably better than me. She was so pleasant to work with. The price was super reasonable and she did an amazing job. I met with one other florist and she would charge me double what Dortha charged me. She was also very flexible. I asked her last minute (the day before) to add coral roses to my bouquet, once I saw how beautiful they were. She told me there were no more coral roses to add, since we used some for the cake. But, turns out she was just trying to surprise me. (I think she knew I would want to add those roses). When I got to the church and saw my bouquet, it had the coral roses, and the bouquet was gorgeous, better than I had imagined! It was PERFECT. Thank you Dortha!

Initially I was referred to a specific person at Phoenix Flower Shops (Glendale location). I thought I was getting a really good deal for what I was asking for, but when I received my official quote I realized I had forgotten a few minor things. I tried to contact them to add these items several times and never got a response. I came on here to look for another florist with not only good reviews but somewhat close to my venue. I emailed Dortha at Set the Mood Floral and she was immediately responsive! Upon meeting with her I was surprised at just how close she was to my venue (practically a stones throw)! Prior to our meeting I sent her multiple pictures for inspiration and ideas of what I wanted. She made it all come true and then some! I can't rave enough about my bouquet, it really is the most beautiful bouquet I have ever seen! She worked so hard on it and it showed! She was also able to provide draping for trees at my ceremony. As soon as I receive pictures of my bouquet I'll be sending them her way for her website so all the world can see how amazing she is at her craft! I can't thank her enough for being apart of my day and making my floral dreams come true!

I found out about Dortha from my wedding coordinator and was so glad we met. She is professional and friendly and was willing to work within my budget and still provide the most beautiful flowers for my wedding. I loved Set the Mood Floral.
I was really looking for some flowers that were beautiful, not the same as I had seen at other weddings and yet reasonable. Working with Set the Mood was easy and they worked to understand me and my style. I had some changes that I wantd done with my isle and they accomidated my needs. I was immensely pleased with the beautiful flowers that Dotha designed for me. They were so fresh and perfectly placed in every arrangement, bouquet, boutonniere, and wrist corsage that I ordered. My bouquet was especially unique and priceless in every way. I could have never dreamed of a more perfect way to add such a magical touch to my very special day! She is a master artist of flowers and in knowing what you're looking for .

Dortha was amazing! She was very flexible and able to work with my budget and still get me exactly what I wanted. The flowers were beautiful and she somehow managed to be everywhere in one day, going way beyond her call of duty. She was comforting to see and hug on my special day. She will make your wedding beautiful and is a great woman to work with. She has alot of knowledge and knows how to pinpoint just the look you want. We only had to meet once, have a couple review emails and that was it! She was there when I needed her, fast response to emails and calls and did everything I asked of and more! I would def. use her again and reccommend her for others!

Set the mood floral made our wedding complete, with the beautiful bouquets and table arrangements. We had a tight budget and were shown very elegant arrangements with fresh flowers, within our budget. The church decorations and flowers were also beautiful and taken to the reception hall, by the set the mood owners, and used to decorate the wedding table. I would recommend this business to friends and family. Thank You Dortha, for all you did for our wedding.

Dortha was amazing!!! She went out of her way to make our day special and still stay in our budget. She became a very special part of our wedding and I would recommend her services to anyone. She takes the time to add the detail and really cares about her customers. She made us feel like family. Dortha is so fantastic. She is an absolutely joy to work with because she is such a wonderful person and so excited about each wedding she is working on.

We used Set the Mood Floral for our wedding and everything was perfect! Their flowers were beautiful and my order was exactly like I envisioned it! It was nice to know that I didn't have to stress about the flowers because Dort took care of us and knew exactly what we wanted! She had so many creative ideas and she also worked well with our budget! I recommended them to a friend and she loved them too! I had a strict budget and no vision for my wedding centerpieces. Set the Mood helped me pick flowers, colors, and arrangements that were in my budget and absolutely beautiful. I loved my bouquet so much I had the flowers preserved and framed. I cannot recommend this vendor more!

Very personal from the beginning. We were kinda hesitant to go with a vendor that was doing business from there home. But we are so happy we did. The flowers were gorgeous. They did a great job on the arrangements. I don't know what they did, but those flowers lasted one week after the wedding.

Set the Mood Floral did an amazing job for our wedding! We had a very large wedding with many different facets for the floral decor. Set the Mood was able to do everything and even make recommendations to make things specific for our wedding and our theme. I would recommend Set the Mood to anyone who is looking for a great florist team with an amazing attitude and personality!

There were MANY choices when looking for a florist for my big day. What stood out with Set the Mood Floral was that Malia and Dortha really took the time out to help you in the decision making process, rather than you telling them what you want. I do not know anything about flowers or arrangements and when I visited with some well known valley florist companies ,they expected me to know exaclty what I had wanted, and if I didn't know off hand, asked me to come back when I had a better idea. They didn't take anytime to sit down and brainstorm with me, whereas Malia and Dortha really took their time and explained the flowers and each different type of arrangement, and all of my options. I would recommend them over anyone else. My wedding was beautiful, the flowers and bouquets were such a hit ! They were extremely professional and very friendly to work with. I will forever be grateful to them for making my day extra beautiful & special :)
