I could not recommend SeriousCake and Seri more!! The tasting itself was incredible. There was no question that we had to have THESE cakes at our wedding. Not only was the cake delicious, but the presentation was outstanding. She matched the cake with my wedding dress! It was so special and so stunning. I could not recommend Seri and SeriousCake more! She also did some extra desserts for us—the brownies, Rice Krispie treats and macarons. I would highly recommend them. We had a coconut cake with coconut caramel pecan filling and an almond poppyseed cake with raspberry preserve filling. HEAVENLY!!

Delicious Desserts
Seri was so wonderful throughout the whole process! We're from San Diego and had to fly up for all of our wedding needs. She was flexible and generous with our tasting portions. The desserts were delicious and she even accepted the feedback we gave her. The desserts were a hit at the wedding (especially the cake pops). The cost was also so reasonable and fair. 10/10 would recommend Seri.

Seri was amazing, she was very communicative and made sure we got the cake we wanted. Not only was the cake absolutely gorgeous, the taste was out of this world. My daughter's cake wasn't only beautiful but there aren't words to describe the flavor of the cake and the butter cream frosting! Delicious and beautiful! Layers of lemon with raspberry filling, apple spice with cinnamon butter cream (everyone's FAVORITE!!) and the top layer for the 1st year anniversary was apple spice cake with coconut caramel butter and pecan layers. We already ate it! She will be hearing from us again and again to order more delicious cakes! Thank you, Siri! Everything was PERFECT and you were so easy to work with!

Seri from Seriouscake is such a joy to work with from start to finish! Her cakes are absolutely delicious (the tasting was my favorite part) and her artwork when crafting them to your vision is impressive. Our cake was a beautiful 4 tier wedding cake that was elegant and simple, like we'd wanted to match our overall theme. She added lace to match my dress, and beautiful pearls to give it a little more excitement in the right places. The cake itself was so delicious, I had people texting me after the wedding to specifically tell me how much they loved the cake. Definitely book with Seri!! I cannot recommend her enough.

I am so excited with our decision to have Serious Cake make my daughter's wedding cake. There were so many flavor selections to chose from it was hard to narrow it down to just two flavors. We had a great time meeting with Seri to do our cake tasting and working with her to get the perfect cake for the wedding. I am amazed at how beautiful the cake looked and tasted. Seri is a consummate professional. You will get a professional cake that is amazing in appearance and taste. She was in constant contact with us during process. She uses high end ingredients and sources to make cake. If there was such thing as an organic cake this would be it. We had 3 tier
Birch tree wedding cake consisting of Apple Spice Cake/Cinnamon buttercream frosting, Sour Cream cake/Marionberry buttercream frosting, and Champagne cake w/ Strawberry buttercream frosting. We had to hide the top tier or my bride and I would have had no cake to eat. Cake was devoured by guests. The buttercream frosting was so good and buttery. Just overall an excellent experience and the guests were the tell tale. They all raved about the look and taste of cake . They all asked who did it? Bonus she had to road trip to our venue West Linn to Rickreall, Oregon and travel cost I thought was very fair and she was promptly on time for setup on wedding day.

Not only was Seri's timely with scheduling a tasting and responding to emails. She was very friendly and accommodating with our choices and her cake was AMAZING. I'm not exaggerating when I say that I cannot even count how many people reached out to me after our wedding to tell us it was the best cake/cupcake they have ever had. We had a variety of three choices and people raved about all of them. They were PERFECT and we cannot recommend her enough! We can't wait to get our first anniversary cake and to use her services again.

Incredible service and and amazing cake!
Seri was fantastic, from the first consultation through the big day! We loved that we could go to her shop to sample cakes and work out the design, which was a great time. Seri was patient, understanding, and almost like a counselor, asking what we liked about the sample pictures we had and why. She immediately sketched stuff out and helped us settle on a final design and it was AMAZING! We had a few questions and made a few changes along the way and Seri was always understanding and great to work with. The final cake was incredible and received rave reviews from our guests - both for taste and appearance! I can't recommend Serious Cakes enough. And I can't wait to get our fresh anniversary cake - an included service so we don't have to eat stale, frozen year-old cake on our first anniversary!

The cake was absolutely gorgeous and some of the most delicious cake we’ve ever tasted! We cannot recommend Seri enough. She was so sweet and accommodating through our entire cake planning process. She even called to check in before the wedding and updated me to what the wedding day plan would be. The cakes looks better than we could have thought, and everyone talked about how delicious the cake was weeks after the wedding was over. There is definitely love in her buttercream. :)
The thing that really stood out the most was how much Seri cared when we talked. It is easy to have very business related conversations with your vendors and nothing else. Seri always asked how things were going and I really felt like she asked because she wanted to hear the answer. Right before my wedding when she called to check in, I was really stressed and trying to get everything in order. Seri has said to me over the phone that she had been thinking about us that week, had the best hopes for us, and was so excited for us as well. It made a huge difference in such a stressful time. Thank you Seri for not only making the most amazing cake we have ever tasted but being so kind!

After interviewing with a few other bakers, we hired Serious Cakes for our wedding and decided on a three tier cake, as well as macaroons for ~300 guests. Siri hosted a wonderful tasting for us, was really great about suggesting the best flavors for our guests, and was so kind, warm, affordable, and communicative through the whole process. She arrived and set up our cake table beautifully with our cake topper and floral accents. I'm still getting compliments! Seri was a dream to work with. We got married on Kauai and had our reception when we returned home. I had made my bouquet and wanted the theme to carry over into the cake. Seri's artistry was amazing. Several people commented that it was a shame to eat the cake because it was so gorgeous! Once we did eat it the quality of her baking was evident. The cake was moist and the flavors were delicious. We will be using Seri for future events without a doubt!

I would recommend her to anyone in an instant and am so grateful to Seri for adding to our day. The cupcakes and cakes that I ordered from Seriouscake were sooooo delicious!! We ordered vanilla/lemon cupcakes, chocolate/peanut butter cupcakes and a pink champagne cake with strawberry filling for our wedding. My husband and I got so many compliments from our guests about how moist and sweet the cake and frosting were. Seri was a pleasure to work with and was extremely helpful, I would definitely place an order with Seriouscake again.

We are so happy we chose Seri to do our wedding cakes! She was very professional and easy to work with and had a lot of yummy cake flavors for us to choose from. We wanted a fairly simple design for our cake (square tiered, butter cream, with flowers), and she was more than happy to accommodate. It was very cool to see her studio and see that she was capable of much more elaborate decoration had we wanted to go that route. One of the best (and easiest) decisions we made.

OH my Seri! Where can I start? I changed my cake design like 10000 times and she took it all! I ended up choosing the first design that we start off with. She design a special cake for me that went so well with my vintage theme wedding and the cake turned out amazing. I wish someone would of capture my face expression when I saw my cake. It took my breath away! She also made some cupcakes as well. The cake and cupcakes were delicious. Thank you Seri for everything! You're amazing.

Our cake situation started out a nightmare, but as soon as we found Serious Cakes, it turned into a bliss! We had the first two bakers bail out on us and since we were planning an out of state wedding, I was in a panic. We turned to the internet and stumbled upon Serious Cakes! They have the most beautiful designs and every flavor of cake, filling and frosting combination out there!
We loved Seri the moment we met her. She is very warm and welcoming and there to make you sure your cake is perfect.
We ended up picking a cake that our guests will be talking about for years...
1st Cake-Banana Cake filled with Bavarian Cream
2nd Cake- Pound Cake filled with (REAL) Lemon Curd
3rd Cake- Pumpkin Cake filled with Fresh Whipped Cream with folded in Hazelnuts and Hazelnut Extract
My only regret was being so busy during the reception that we couldn't eat much. Our guests gobbled it up!

Seri is the most talented, dedicated, and an amazing woman I have ever met! She is so passionate and goes above and beyond to provide a quality service for you! We had our wedding cake made by her and it was everything we wanted! She sat with us for more than an hour to discuss the design, colors, and all of things that we wanted the cake to have! The cake tasted yummy and everyone was very impressed with the looks and taste of the cake! We also had Seri make a cake for my sister in law's baby shower! She did an amazing job on the cake and made it look like a real crib with a baby sleeping inside! Unbelievable talent!!! Now, I am having Seri make another cake for my company's Holiday party!!! We found Seri of Seriouscake.com at the Portland Bridal Show last year. Her cake was the best by far out of all the cakes we tried that day. We set up a cake tasting. It was at her home, in her cake studio. She did a group tasting, so there were two other couples which was nice, because we got try more flavors. It was a tough decision, because everything was so delicious! Her cakes are so dense and moist. She went over the overall design of the cake and sent an email with sketch and description a few day later. We ended up going with a 2-tiered cake and a variety of cupcakes, since we had a hard time choosing just one. :)
Besides the deliciousness of her cakes, she is quick to respond to emails, which was very important to me. She was flexible with the design of my cake, too. A couple weeks before the wedding, she called to check in with me and go over the final details (what time I wanted the cake delivered, go over the design of the cake, etc.). I asked to change the colors of the cake. She asked if I could send her some color swatches. I did. She made the changes no problem.
There are a lot of things that need to come together when planning a wedding. Knowing you can count on a vendor to follow through, is a huge relief. I was confident that Seri would do a terrific job. And she did!
I would definitely recommend Seriouscake.com.

Seri was AWESOME as was the cake she made for us. We had three tiers representing pieces of our lives. The bottom layer had 3d gophers (our high school mascot), the middle layer had a replica of his family's cabin and the top layer had three pears on top (our theme was the perfect pair, and we added one to represent my daughter). Not only did it look amazing, it tasted every bit as wonderful as it did the day we went for our cake tasting. Seri "got" what we wanted, and exceeded our expectations. We were so fortunate in our choices of vendors, just spectacular.

We also had a grooms cake which Seri made for my husband a trumpet in a case all eatable…We still have the lid to the case in which we will keep as souvenir for as long as possible! It was AMAZING. My main criteria for a tiered wedding cake was that it be all butter, moist, and tasty. Seri provided all this and more. Everyone at the reception asked how I found her (on line, then met with her.) She arrived on site to assemble a beautiful cake with handmade gumpaste anthuriums. I had tasted around town(Portland, Oregon) and found her cakes to be the best and she surpassed my expectations and surprised the guests. Many had seconds.

She didn't blink an eye or make me feel silly when I said I wanted to make science fiction character toppers for the cake. I've never liked fondant but hers was amazing and delicious. Our cake was amazing and Seri helped us thru every step. The personal touches were very much appreciated. She created a replica of our bronco for the groom's cake and it went as far as having our license plate number on the vehicle! The flowers from the main cake will be going into our shadow box.

Seri is an amazing wedding cake designer and baker. I had tried at least three other wedding cake vendors in the area, and either the cake was dry, or the frosting too sweet, or they only worked with buttercream, but wouldn't work with fondant. Then we found Serious Cake. Right away we knew she was the one we wanted to go with. I brought in pictures of three cakes that I liked different design elements from, and Seri was able to combine the three to make our ideal cake. I had so many of my guests raving about our wedding cake and how beautiful it was and how great it tasted. We originally thought we were going to have close to 75 guests, so we ordered a cake big enough to feed 80 guests, but ended up only having about 40 guests in the end. We were worried we'd have so much cake left over, but most of my guests ate a piece at the wedding and then asked to take a slice home with them they liked it so much, so that never ended up being a problem. We will definitely be using Seri for any future celebration cakes we need!

Seri is a GODSEND to the "wedding vendor" industry! After multiple tastings (with other vendors) we still were not satisfied. We had an appointment with Seri, (who was extremely flexible, working with our chaotic schedule). We had chosen 3 cake & filling flavors ahead of time, and when we arrived for our appointment, the smell carried us right in! We sat down and when offered the first sample, after only 1 bite, we turned to each other and said in unison... "This is the 1!" After tasting all 3, the hard part was choosing which flavors we'd like to go with. She was open to what ever WE wanted, and helped with adding those finishing details. Her cakes are made FRESH, and they taste as great as they look! Having been to others before her, and being quoted for the same size, shape, etc. We found her price was extremely reasonable! If I could offer even 1 bride a "heads-up" it would be; Save your time, and your waist-line... GO TO SERI with Seriouscake! I will call on her in the future for ANY cake that I want made!

We went to Seri with a very non-traditional wedding cake idea and she rose to the challenge! She was receptive to my design ideas & gave great expert input. The result was something so unique, that I had not even set foot into the reception before I started having guests tell me how amazing my cake looked!
There are a ton of cake artists in Portland, but the first thing that drew us to Seri was her use of only fresh cakes & ingredients. At our tasting we discovered just how important that never-frozen cake is: literally the difference between every wedding cake you've ever had and an actual dessert you enjoy eating. At our wedding the guests devoured the cake, many saying it was the best they had ever had, and a few commented, "wow, this tastes like actual cake and not gross wedding cake!"
I would recommend her to anyone who wants their cake to make an impact at the wedding, and be something the guests remember not only for looks but for taste. We are already looking forward to ordering our anniversary cake from her!

It is hard to imagine a wedding cake that tastes good... but Seri Lopez (seriouscake.com) truly achieves an amazing tasting cake that definitely stands out from the rest! Seri was personable, professional, and really listened to our vision. She took the time to share 3 delicious test cakes, and we knew after the first bite that we had found our vendor! The cake was more beautiful than I could have imagined with flowers that looked so real, most guests did not believe they were sugar! We got married on a 90+ degree day all outside and the cake did not melt! Seri was able to transport the cake up a windy gravel road and made all the necessary confirmations, etc. The cake was delicious and our guests are still talking about the yummy flavors! Our wedding and groom's cakes were absolutely the best cakes we have ever tasted. My guest raved about the cakes. It was one of the highlights of the evening. My husband and I tasted a number of cakes in the Portland area only to find them to be average. Once we tried Seri's cakes, we knew we had found the quality! Her cakes are fresh, tailored to your specification, and beautifully designed. We could not have been more pleased. Most importantly, Seri is a delightful individual who listens and cares about her customers. We will be returning to her for all of our important celebrations!

Her cake was absolutely perfect! The taste and texture was tremendous and everyone raved and was impressed with the Lavender flavor, surprised that they like it so well! To say Seri is a professional isn't enough to give her due credit, she truly cares about her customers and enjoys putting herself into the projects that make her unique talent a special part of weddings and memories shared.

Serious Cakes provided a beautiful and elegant cake that was within our budget. Not only was the cake beautiful, but absolutely deliscious. Guests were gushing that it was the best cake they had ever had! It was perfection for a perfect wedding!

Seri, with Serious Cakes is a gem! She works very hard to be within your budget, but also create a masterpiece that you will be excited about. When we told her that we had a lavender theme for our wedding, she introduced and experimented with a new lavender flavored cake that was delicious! Seri likes to make sure that she truly knows what it is that the bride is looking/hoping for and does an excellent job showing you examples of what your cake will look like. She made mock-ups of different ideas for the fondant decorations and brought them to meetings with us and had a fun and relaxed cake tasting.

Seri was an absolute joy to work with! She was so thoughtful and caring in the creation of our wedding cake. She took input on the look and feel we were going for before creating the design. We also had a relatively warm day for the wedding and the cake started to sink a bit so she personally came back to fix it. It was perfect and delicious! We also got the cake bites to share and the guests raved how delicious everything was. We couldn’t be happier and can’t wait to order our top tier again for our 1 year anniversary :). The pink champagne is to die for!!

I recommend Seriouscake.com VERY HIGHLY!
My daughter wanted cupcakes at her wedding. She had started working with another baker but as time went by, costs just kept going up and she thought she would have to cancel her cupcake plans. I offered to research other bakers for her. Not long into my search, I ran across the website for Seriouscake.com owned by Seri Lopez. I was very please with the prices which were much more reasonable but it was the cakes and cupcakes featured on the site that amazed me...they were beautiful!
With only a month to go before the wedding, I contacted Seri and she very quickly replied that she would be happy to add us to her busy schedule. She worked with us to keep within our budget and also to give my daughter the special cupcakes she was looking for. Seri kept in contact with us as the big day got closer, making sure that every detail was perfect. And this was all done sight unseen....we had made the change to Seriouscake.com at such a late date that we didn't have time to meet with Seri in person or even do a tasting!
On the wedding day, Seri was right on time to deliver and set up the cupcakes. They were fantastic! The delicate flowers were expertly made in the exact colors we had chosen. Seri had added some pretty details to each cupcake that made them sparkle even more. I can tell you that the bride and the mother-of-the-bride were very happy!
Seri made sure everything was as we wanted before she left. I am so impressed with her professional, helpful additude and her creative skills. And to top it all off, the cupcakes were absolutely delicious! We chose red velvet, dark chocolate and carrot cake and each flavor simply melted in our mouths.

The cake was Beautiful, and very moist, fantastic frosting and fondant. Seri made sure that there was plenty. She really lets you tell her your dream, and budget, and fit both. She really is amazing.

Incredibly beautiful and tasty cake!
Seri did an amazing job creating my daughter’s wedding cake! She took the time to get to know her taste and the vision my daughter had for the perfect wedding cake and then delivered just that! We chose fresh flowers, which Seri arranged at the venue, and when I saw it complete it was stunning! Tasted great too - moist and delicious (thankfully we had a few yummy leftovers:)

Seri made exquisite flowers for my cake. My cake topper didn't arrive but her sugar flowers made a difference and looked well with my fresh flower arrangements. The only concern we had was the chocolate cake which my husband was looking forward to after our cake tasting was not the same. The champagne with strawberry filling flavor she made for the 2nd tier is my choice and everybody's favorite.

Seri makes the most delicious cakes!! Not only are they moist and taste fantastic, but she has SO many flavor options and she can do just about any design or creation on the outside. She is flexible, creative and willing to work with your ideas and opinions. I loved working with her and was head over heels for my wedding cake! It was beautiful!

An excellent wedding cake! She was willing to work with our budget, and the cake was exactly as I had imagined. The fondant cake in our wedding colors was both beautiful and delicious, with a different flavor on each layer. Her gum-paste flowers look realistic and are an excellent touch on the cake. She was very personable and on top of things, confirming plans before the wedding. Travel fees were very reasonable and delivery and setup were excellently done and on time. She works out of her home, which is very clean and the cake tasting before the wedding was great, with small fresh sample cakes.

The flavor decision was fun and easy with Seri's help. The cake was super moist and full of flavor, no one could get enough of the cake. I will be ordering a small 6 inch round for our one year anniversary to celebrate.

Seri made our wedding day come true. When I walked in the room and I saw the cake, it took my breath away. It was the highlight of everything we did for the ceremony, and I seriously would recommend her to anyone. Also, we picked the champagne flavored cake and it was the best. Our guest's raved about it and I can't wait for our anniversary so we can enjoy the top layer....champagne flavor.
