Amazing bridal experience

I went to Serendipity during their sample sale in hopes of finding my wedding dress. I had already been to 3 other bridal stores and tried on 15+ dresses. I went in feeling like maybe I was looking at the wrong styles when I found a dress I wanted to try. It wasn’t the first one I put on there, but once I did, I knew I found my dress! Because it was during their sale, I had to decide right then and there if I wanted it since they didn’t do holds. I went during my lunch break, solo, and ended up leaving with my wedding dress! They were so great, that I went back to them before the wedding to buy a veil! The staff is really friendly and helpful. Definitely worth checking them out!!

Come here!!

I had a FANTASTIC experience here. I came to the store for their bi-annual sample sale as I was looking for a dress for my wedding in 3 months. Even though I called only a few days before the sale, they were able to accommodate me. The store was super clean and nicely decorated-bright, light, and airy. I worked with Brigitte and Kayte. Brigitte was my salesperson and Kayte was the manager. Brigitte outlined the rules of the sale very clearly and we got to work. There were only a few left in my size as I was shopping the sample sale but we grabbed a few and tried them on. The dressing rooms are clean and really large with beautiful light up mirrors. All of the dresses were beautiful, clean, and a good price (for bridal gowns!). Brigitte was very patient with me as I tried on gowns and texted and called and texted my family some more about the top contender. Kayte and Brigitte went above and beyond for me, and I am so thankful for them both. Come here; you won't regret it!

Dream Dress Buying Experience

When I arrived to my appoint, two other girls were also supposed to come and shop but one cancelled, and the other was a no show - so my 3 birdesmaids and I had the WHOLE store to ourselves. Brigitte and Caity couldn't have been any nicer, it was such a wonderful experience. They helped me arrange custom designing for my dress as well. I wish this for every bride!

Stunning Dress

I wasn't personally at the bridal salon but all I heard from my wife is positive things about this place. On the day of the wedding, when I saw her for the first time walking down the aisle. My wife looked like a princess. They have a very broad selection and excellent quality dresses.

Great collection!

This was the second and last bridal salon I visited. I picked out a few dresses similar to what I had loved on Pinterest, and threw in a few that the consultant thought would fit my general body shape and personal style. I tried on the ones I picked out, and then one of the recommended ones ... and that was it. It was perfect! They have such a great selection in the store, so you can try on everything from very traditional to very modern, and find exactly what feels perfect to you!

This is a much overdue review - I purchased my Chantel Lauren Mae gown at Serendipity this past May. They hosted a trunk show with Chantel and her husband, so during my appointment I got to try on all of her designs and had help from both the consultant and the designer herself. Great experience plus an additional discount at the trunk show. They also worked w me to ship my dress since I was moving out of state soon after. Thank y’all again, I adore my wedding dress and got so many compliments on it.

I had such a wonderful experience when shopping for my dress. I was the only appointment that Sunday morning and had my godson with me. The store manager was sweet enough to help him set up his train in the middle of the show room while I tried on my dress. The girl I was assigned to was Bridgette and she was the sweetest human around. She let my MOH and I look around and would randomly show up suggestions. I bought the first dress I put on my body and couldn't be happier with my choice.

Although this shop tends to be on the pricey side, I would absolutely recommend making an appointment with them. A couple of weeks before my appointment, my mom and I decided to stop in just to look around. Kayte immediately greeted and welcomed us, and told us about the trunk show that was going on. A few minutes later, she came up to us and told us that she had some free time because one of her appointments had cancelled, and that if I saw a dress in the trunk show that I really wanted to try on, she would gladly help us. I didn't end up trying anything on that week, but when we returned for my appointment a few weeks later, we were pleased to find out that Kayte would be our consultant. She made us all feel so comfortable and welcome, and was very knowledgeable about all of the gowns I tried on and what would look best on me. She was incredibly kind, helpful, and not pushy or overbearing, but I think my favorite thing about her was that she seemed genuinely excited about our appointment and the dresses I was trying on. I ended up finding my dream dress and I can't wait to go back for my first fitting!

Serendipity was the 1st place my MOH went during her turn to find a dress, so I flipped it around and went to them for the 3rd place and I guess you could say, saved the best for last. Working with Serendipity was enjoyable and I have no bad things to say. I came in during a trunk show to try on a veil and ended up purchasing it later but the manager was nice enough to match the trunk show pricing.

After visiting multiple bridal salons, I was floored by the level of service I received at Serendipity! Kayte immediately made me and my guests feel comfortable by offering a private seated area as well as a glass of champagne! I especially loved their HUGE dressing rooms! I had been to Serendipity prior to this visit when a friend of mine was in search for her dress. While there my friend tried on the most beautiful Pronovias gown, which is why I returned back to Serendipity for my own search.

While at Serendipity, Kayte showed me a few Pronovias gowns but I didn't see the one I had seen before. However, Kayte immediately knew what dress I was talking about without giving her much detail. She went around to the back and pulled the exact dress that my friend had tried on. Thankfully, Kayte made sure that I tried on other dresses to make sure that I was given enough options. The dress selection that Kayte pulled was incredible, and all of the dresses were very different from the other stores in Austin.

Serendipity was such a pleasure to work with during my whole dress buying/fitting process. They found many beautiful dresses in my budget, and never pushed to go higher. The dress trying process was fun with the mimosas they provided and the lighthearted atmosphere of the store. I loved that the service was personal and that the store was small--I wasn't competing with other brides during any of my fittings or when trying on a dress.

Rosie, the seamstress aka magician, was the absolute best. Do your alterations here, with her. She is detail oriented to the last stitch, and is incredibly sweet. She made appointments for me as early as 8 am to accommodate the fact I was coming in from out of town, even though the store wasn't open yet. This store may be a little more expensive then some discount stores, but for a moderate budget, you get a lot for your money! It was money well spent to get my dress from Serendipity.

I had a wonderful experience at Serendipity Bridal. I had to go alone to my appointment, My attendant was very helpful with picking gowns and giving useful feedback for the dresses I tried on. I did not feel pressured like I had at other salons. The manager even stopped in at my appointment and suggested a dress for me that turned out to be the perfect dress. My dress was a sample that was in perfect condition and at a great discounted price. They even patiently waited while I called my mother to get her opinion of the dress. I got so many compliments on my dress at my wedding and I wouldn't have found this dress without the wonderful staff at Serendipity Bridal.

This was by far a blessing in disguise! After waiting until (unknowingly) the last minute these women made a brides dream come true! I tried on every dress they had nearly before finding the dress of my dreams. I could not be more happy! Seeing the pictures makes me want to jump in the dress all over again!!! They had a 6 month time crunch and got me my dream dress and then forwarded me to the quickest alteration place and made sure I was ready for my big day!

I was so close to canceling my appointment at Serendipity because I thought they wouldn't have anything in my price range - I'm so glad I didn't. Everyone was so friendly and helpful as soon as we (my mom, sister and I) walked in. We were immediately offered mimosas and water, and then got to look around the store and actually touch and pick out the dresses I wanted to try on. Lexie, who was helping me, picked out some beautiful dresses that were what I was looking for and were in my price range. It was overall just a great experience that truly made me feel like a bride. And the best part? Found my dream dress! Can't recommend it enough!

I absolutely loved this place! I was so in love with my dress and I was so happy that they had the ability to get such a great designer. I did have to travel from Devine to get there but it was totoally worth the drive. Not only were they super patient with me when I was deciding on this dress, they went above an beyond to help me make my decision.

But what I love the most was my seamstress Rosie. She was absolutely wonderful! She treated me like her own daughter. She constantly expressed how happy she was for me and constantly told how beautiful my dress was and how much she enjoyed working on it. I went in for multiple fitting because I wanted my dress to be perfect. She was very patient and her quality of work was outstanding. On my wedding day, I felt amazing in my dress and I owe it all to Rosie!

I HIGHLY recommend Serendipity Bridal. I had a wonderful experience and found the dress that I had imagined! I couldn't have done it without my consultant Olga and my seamstress Rosie. Both Olga and Rosie are wonderful to work with. Not only did they always listen to what I wanted, they also made the right suggestions for me. Olga and Rosie are extremely warm and welcoming people with big hearts and they show you that they want the best for you. I built a wonderful relationship with them. Don't be afraid to tell them what you want because they cater to you, they will do everything they can to help find "the dress" and make you feel your best in it. Wonderful experience!

I loved working with everyone here from initial appointment through final fitting. I think they had the largest selection of unique dresses out of any store I went to. A lot of the unique dresses were definitely priced very high 3K and above. But I guess if you want unique you pay for it ;) Anyways, I found my dream dress here after trying on a ton of options, for my budget which was way under the 3k. So they definitely have a variety of options for the 2k and less ladies. The star employee here is Rosie the seamstress. She is not only incredibly skilled, but one of the sweetest people I have ever met, and someone who you can tell loves her job. She has been working there for 25 years I think? Some incredibly long amount of time... My mom loved her and I loved her. She made me feel like a princess and always let me take my time at every fitting. I hope every bride gets this kind of treatment. Budget tip: ask up front what alterations/pressing/etc range so you aren't surprised later and make sure it's in your "dress budget" cost.

My daughter's dress was absolutely gorgeous! From the beginning the staff was so patient and accommodating to us, from trying on countless dresses to making sure everything was perfect right up to the end. From the sales staff to the wonderful seamstress, they helped us pick just the perfect combination of dress, veil, waistband, and even the comb in her hair to compliment each component. I purchased a ceremony and reception dress from Serendipity Bridal! I was not expecting to purchase two dress but we attended one of their sample sales and the deals were so good, that I bought both I loved the best!! The sales woman worked with me for over 2 hours trying on dresses and re-trying on dresses until I made my final decision. She was so nice. They also gave me the name of their seamstress for alterations. It was a very very pleasant experience!

The staff here was absolutely amazing! I found my dress the first day that I went looking, and after shopping at a *larger, chain, lower priced* different establishment, the difference was night and day. Olga was amazing to work with and offered me honest helpful advice, even talking me out of a dress that was beautiful but very heavy. I’m so glad that she did, because she helped me to find *my dress!* I was able to find a dress that made me feel like me, just more beautiful! And then after months of waiting, I was able to come in and work with Rosie to make my dress fit like a dream. She sewed a bustier into the dress, and nipped and tucked until it fit perfectly! She even HAND PRESSED the entire thing, a major feat considering all the beading and pickups on my dress. They are pricier than the discount chain stores, but the quality and service are miles above and totally worth every penny! I absolutely loved working with the entire staff at Serendipity, and enjoyed every step of the process. I would recommend them to any bride!

I found my Alita Graham bridal gown at Serendipity Bridal during a Kleinfeld's trunk show. I never dreamed that finding my dress would be so easy, because this was my first and last appointment! Rosie (the in house seamstress) was wonderful to work with for all my fittings. She told me where to get my "undergarments" and allowed me to bring in my own veil and petticoat, not to mention she didn't charge me for extra fittings! She also put up with my VERY particular attention to detail, and she was SO sweet, even when I was in a bad mood! I'm not the easiest person to please (my own fault, I know) and she was nothing short of polite, accommodating, and very easy to work with. The sales staff is wonderful too, although I cannot remember the name of the woman I purchased my gown from. They even let my sister try on wedding dresses during one of my fittings, just for fun! I recommend them 100%. I even got 15% off my gown for the trunk show....WIN WIN WIN!

Everyone at serendipity bridal was so great! They have a beautiful variety to choose from. With a great price range. They were great from my first try on to the last. My dress did not fit when it came back, and was not an easy fix...they were so kind and calm. They fixed it right away. They were so amazing to work with and always happy when I talked to them. I truly had no idea what I was looking for in a dress when I got engaged. One night looking online with my mother we found a Watters dress and instantly my mom said "That's the one!" It was a new dress to their line so I tried tracking it down for 4 months only to find out only 2 stores in the whole state of Texas would be carrying it. I went about my search trying on many dresses yet nothing quite measured up until I would have the chance to try on the dress in my mind and heart. Well once the dress arrived in stores, Serendipity Bridal was the first store to call me. I made an appointment with Jackie and I tried on 2 dresses prior to trying on my dream dress...still nothing. Then finally the dress of my dreams. I knew when I put it on, that it was my dress but what sealed the deal was when my mom started tearing up seeing me in it. My dress was very different from the norm of what is considered traditional where I come from. It wasn't princess like, with tons of bling. It was simple, vintage and perfect for me. Rosie the seamstress tailored the dress so perfectly to my body and for my comfort. Being petite I am very familiar with having clothes altered and I have never been so blessed with such a sweetheart of a talented seamstress. She truly makes you feel like the most gorgeous bride. I will really miss her and her big heart <3

their was also service that you can pay for were the lady that helped me find the dress would also bring it to me on the day of my portraits and the day of the wedding. it was so worth the money not to have to worry about it! and all my bridesmaids were busy doing stuff so it was nice to have her bring the dress to me!

Bought my wedding dress here. Great selection of designer gowns ranging from less than $1000 to over $4000 and plenty of sale options. The staff is helpful and were very patient with me when I wanted to try on 10+ gowns! They also stored my gown after it came in up until the wedding free of charge.

If you buy your gown here, make an appointment for alterations early because they book up! Or ask for Mariana's contact info. She used to work there and does great alteration work.

I was already familiar with Serendipity Bridal since I’d taken a girlfriend of mine there to look for a wedding dress once upon a time. She was treated quite well and the dress selection was beautiful, so I immediately booked an appointment when it came time for my own wedding gown shopping. And I was not disappointed. I visited Serendipity twice to look at gowns, the second time to view a trunk show of a designer I had liked. Both times I was treated like royalty, and they went the extra mile to make my guests (mom, aunt, friends, fiancé) feel comfortable and helped them enjoy the experience. I ended up purchasing a gown from the trunk show, and the designer representative personally measured me for my gown, which helped ease my nerves considering I had to add length, thus costing me more for the dress. From purchase to dress delivery, the Serendipity staff kept me informed that my order had been received by the dress makers, where the dress was in the creation process, and again when it arrived in the store. I’ve yet to pick up my dress as I have my first fitting with them soon. Can’t wait!

I went to Serendipity during a sample sale, and my consultant Lacey was amazing! She picked out dresses that stayed within my budget and my taste, and she just seemed to know her job so well. This appointment was much calmer, easier, and fun than others I had. After I found the dress, I had trouble contacting my mom to model it for her, and the staff let my maid of honor and I stay in the dressing area for an hour undisturbed until I was able to talk to my mom. I didn't feel pressured to rush or take the dress and go. Plus the shop was cute and cozy! One warning: the veils were more expensive than I expected, so don't blindly choose one without first checking the price tag. I will be finding my veil at a later date. Otherwise, I was very happy with my experience!

Of all the bridal boutiques out there, I found Serendipity to be one of the easier ones to make an appointment. Olga assisted me during my fitting and was extremely helpful. She was honest and brought styles to my attention that really flattered me. After purchasing a dress on a trunk sale weekend, I used their in-house tailor, Rosie, who couldn't have been sweeter or more talented. I think Rosie is retiring, but if you can get a hold of her for your tailoring needs, she is worth it. My dress was beautiful and fit perfectly on the day of my wedding and I couldn't be happier with the experience I had shopping!

Serendipity was my first stop when dress shopping, and it should have been my last. Lacey is their buyer and also happened to be my consultant; she helped me find a gorgeous dress that fit my shape well. She also continued to be supportive and friendly each time I saw her in the store for fittings. Rosie, the seamstress, is incredibly knowledgeable and sweet. I had an excellent experience at Serendipity, and would encourage every bride to check out their selection!

I had a great experience getting my wedding dress at Serendipity. The dresses there are so so so beautiful, it was so hard to choose just one. They communicated well and gave me some good advice. I also got my dress altered there by Rosie. Rosie is a wonderful seamstress and my dress turned out really lovely, but I will say that she sometimes turns down your ideas too easy. I asked her about dying my veil with tea to make it a different color and she seemed to think that was definitely not going to work, but it did work! She was so sweet all throughout the process though, that it didn't matter much. Lovely store. Maybe a bit pricey, but not by much. Especially with the quality of the dresses provided.

I purchased my wedding dress here in 8/12 - it arrived (on time) in 12/12 for my 3/13 wedding. I was promptly emailed when the dress came in.

The dresses are arranged by price: most expensive at front to least at the back. Its a quaint shop & has 3 dressing rooms. I brought my parents along & they had benches for them. I picked 10 dresses to try on just for fun mainly, but I did pick about 5 Paloma Blanca ones that were just to die for (in the $1000- $2500 price range).

I ended up buying the 1st dress I tried on actually &my consultant was never pushy, demanding, rude etc. She were polite & helpful. I had a great time trying on the dresses, not rushed, & they didn't tell me which ones to try on for my body type - I just picked out the ones I liked (how it should be). I liked being "left alone" so I could shop a bit and take my time. I hate being sold to so this worked for me.

The consultant helped me in and out of every dress & was sweet & patient. FYI -They do have samples in the back on sale. The selection is not HUGE but it is a good variety of high end designer pieces. FYI DO NOT SHOP HERE UNLESS YOU PLAN TO SPEND AT LEAST $1,000 or get lucky with a sample sale dress. It is a DESIGNER dress store not a David's bridal type place. You were warned :) Also you get a big discount if you buy the 1st day you come & there is some bargaining room too...go ahead and haggle (I got $515 off my sticker price).

I had bra cups sewn in & a french bustle for a grand total of $80 - THANK YOU to Serendipity Bridal for taking my CORRECT measurements and saving me $300 of alterations for the hem!! This was so nice :)

FYIs - Look up store hours & days they are open, they are kinda strange. Make an appt if you want the full experience, but you can walk in too. They do have some jewelry, accessories, veils - not a HUGE selection. Also if you buy your dress there you get 20% off accessories & 10% off bridesmaid dresses. Good luck with your dress hunt!

I loved this shop. The woman that assisted was really helpful and pulled dresses not just based on what I told her I wanted, but also based on what she though would flatter my figure. She had an excellent eye, and I ended up choosing a dress she picked out that met all of my criteria and looked fabulous on.

Three weeks from the wedding, after a tailor botched alterations on the original dress purchased 9 months earlier, my daughter set out to find a new dress. Unruffled by the deadline, Olga and the fabulous staff at Serendipity helped her find a dress and get it altered in time for the event.

Amazing selection, fair prices (by wedding-price standards), phenomenal patience and service.

I went into looking for a wedding gown feeling very dismal. I didn't like any of the dresses I had seen in the magazines. I wanted something that was simple - both in lines and designs. In one of their sample rooms I found a beautiful Irish Linen and lace dress that was so different from the magazines, I was completely taken by surprise. The staff helped fit me, and I have never felt more special than when my husband saw me in that dress for the first time. We both were so pleased, we'd recommend them to EVERYONE!

I went to a couple of bridal salons just to browse, and walked away with a wedding dress from Serendipity. The other places I went to basically pulled dresses and stuck them in a fitting room, offering little to no advice or help. Serendipity is much different. You have a true consultant helping you try on gowns, and we lucked out that the dress I fell in love with happened to have one left in my size and happened to be half-off. I'd definitely go there before you decide on a dress.

Loved my dress

The staff was great, very friendly. I love my dress and wouldn’t change a thing about it. I will say I purchased it 12 months in advance, and it came in 10 months before the wedding needing only a bustle. I had plenty of time. High end boutique— if your budget is under 2,000 total, you may have a hard time finding something you like (full price + tax that is), but their selection is very unique. The dress is Erandi by Pronovias.

I loved my experience with Serendipity Bridal! They have a beautiful selection of dresses and a great atmosphere. The staff was attentive, the dressing rooms were big, the seating for the people you brought with you was comfortable, and they offer you water or mimosas during your appointment. I didn't have an exact idea of what I wanted in a dress....I was considering two very different styles, and Lacey encouraged me to look around and pick out a few dresses to try on and also did a great job picking out some other dresses based on what I had said/chosen. I actually liked all of the dresses that I tried on, but fell in love with one that Lacey had picked out that I had looked at but was unsure about; she has a great eye for these things! She was also knowledgeable about sizing. I knew that my build meant that I would likely need alterations on whichever wedding dress I ordered, and she accurately told me my options for which sizes I could order and which alterations would be needed for each size. Since this was the first place in Austin that I had tried on wedding dresses, I was reluctant to commit right away. They offered me a discount if I purchased the dress same day, but never made me feel pressured to buy the dress same day. I later came back and purchased the dress and couldn't have been happier with it! I also received consistently good customer service after purchasing the dress (contact information for alterations, shipping my dress, etc.).

Serendipity was my first stop while dress shopping in Austin this past February, and ultimately ended up being my last stop as well! I specifically made an appointment there since they are the only shop in Texas to carry Sarah Seven gowns, and their selection was amazing. Our consultant for the day, Sarah, made the whole experience so wonderful. After showing her a few photos of the style i was looking for, she pulled several dresses they were all great choices. I ended up falling in love with the second gown I tried on! I still went to the remainder of our appointments for the day, and Sarah assured me they would be open late and I could come back any time it was convenient for us to order my gown and receive the 10% discount that day, even though they were booked up for the afternoon. When we stopped back later that afternoon to place the order they were so attentive, even offering champagne and to snap a few photos, even though the shop was busy. The entire team at Serendipity made me dress shopping experience feel very special and they have been very responsive throughout the ordering process.

My mom and I decided to bum around Austin on a last minute trip to look for dresses. I was only looking for a style that I might like and never intended to make a purchase that day. We walked into Serendipity Bridal with no appointment but they took us in anyways (since some brides called to cancel -thanks).

They were all super friendly and helped me find a dress to try on in every style. They provided a glass of mimosa to help my mom and I relax - which it did. I ended up falling in love with this dress that was just a little out of my price range. They gave me a deal in order for me to purchase the dress I found!

Cutest wedding dress shop I went to while looking for my dress. The staff was accommodating to our group and never made us feel out of place. Had such a wonderful experience at Serendipity. Was treated like an absolute princess, which really is what you're looking for when shopping for gowns! The salon is beautiful with individual dressing rooms with double doors (no curtains), and each dressing area has couches and seats for family. My stylist, Olga is the best - ask for her! Had a small problem with communication over my dress' arrival date - had to call and nag the office over and over to get information. Other than that, was a really great experience!!

Serendipity was my 3rd dress appointment and they were the first place to listen to exactly what I wanted and then presented me with several stunning dresses. The perfect dress ended up being over my budget but the staff worked with me to make the payments easier and referred me to a wonderful seamstress Norri when it turned out my dress would be coming in too late to use the inhouse seamstress. My only problem with the experience is my dress was supposed to come with a belt which they sent back because it had a stain. While I appreciated this and understood it takes time for the belt to be redone, I was not updated very frequently and had to check in numerous times on the belts progress. Several weeks after the belt had not been returned I called on a Saturday to see if it would be available for my bridal shoot and was assured they would update me by Monday and the call was never returned. In the end the belt came in, in time to be worn on the wedding day, but I wish it had been available for the bridal shoot.

I bought my dress from Serendipity, and overall, we had a really good experience with them. I made an appointment for a Saturday morning, and my girls and I had a blast trying on dresses! Meredith helped us pick out dresses and try them on, she was really knowledgeable about the brands, types of dresses, prices, etc. She made me feel very comfortable. She also wasn't pushy at all about us buying a dress, she let us make our decisions without trying to influence the sale. One minor complaint I had is that my dress came in about a month late (which isn't really Serendipity's fault). It caused me some anxiety as a bride, but once the dress arrived, they referred me to a seamstress (whom I LOVED!) that got my dress altered in time for my bridal portraits. The only other thing that bugged me is they didn't call me when my veil arrived - I called to check on it a few days before my bridal portraits and they realized it came in a few days earlier. I didn't mind calling them to check in, but as a bride, it would have been helpful if they had called me a day or two after it arrived. Overall, I had a positive experience with Serendipity, and would recommend it to Austin brides!

I found the perfect dress at a Watters trunk show that was held at Serendipity Bridal. Erica was my sales lady, and she helped me from day one, through all the fittings, invoicing, and finally pickup of my dress. If not in person, she called to confirm things and to help me out. Rosie, the resident tailor, was very sweet and careful, and comes with like 40 years of experience, so she was appropriately, very expensive. Serendipity will give you several other tailors to help you with the cost of altering the dress, which I found helpful. Nice shop, very nice, but pricey dresses.

My dress was beautiful and the seamstress did a perfect job. My salesperson, Mariana, was so amazing! I would have never picked our my dress, but she thought it was perfect for me. She was right! After visiting several other salons, I was able to find the perfect dress. The people there really know wedding fashion and really take the time to find the dress that looks best on you. I never felt rushed and wound up selecting a dress the consultant brought in at the last minute. It had just hit the floor and she thought it would be perfect for me.... She was right. Love this place. The prices were great. I wound up with a gorgeous gown that looked 10x's more expensive than it was, gotta love that.

Linda helped me find my dream dress at Serendipity. After trying on several gowns, I ended up with one that she pulled for me. She had been listening to me through the appointment, and found the perfect dress!

I had my alterations done with Olga, who is fantastic! And quite funny, too! She made sure my dress fit perfectly, and that I felt comfortable in it.

Serendipity is a gorgeous, full-service bridal salon with a huge selection of designers, (for gowns, bridesmaids' dresses, and mother-of-the-bride dresses), hair pieces, veils, undergarments and shoes. The service was wonderful, and the sales ladies were very responsive. The salon is clean, organized, well-staffed, and again, exceptionally stocked with beautiful gowns in all styles.
I had bridesmaids in 3 different states, and they all received their dress without any problems.
When you go, be prepared to try on breath-taking gowns and feel like a princess!

If you live in San Antonio, it's worth the drive!!

I found my bridesmaids' dresses at a trunk show at Serendipity after searching all over Austin. They do not have a huge selection of bridesmaids dresses, but the ones they have are really nice and are in much better shape than most samples. All but one of my bridesmaids were from out of town and my coordinator at Serendipity took care of contacting all of them for their orders.
The only problem I had was when I asked them to order some matching fabric so that I could have shawls made. When I called a month later to find out when the fabric would arrive, the order had never been placed. The owner called me with an apology, which I thought was very nice, but they did not offer a discount or anything. I did get the fabric on time, but only because I had ordered it early to begin with.

I bought my dress, veil, shoes, and earrings here. When I shopped for my dress, we had an appointment and we were dealt with extreme professionalism. We went back a couple of times to look for flower girls dresses...and ugh. They were just...kind of rude about everything. We didn't have an appointment, but we were really just looking...and the woman who ended up measuring our flower girl was really rude and made us all feel pretty uncomfortable. She took a lot of pleasure out of what should have been a fun experience.

I recommend Serendipity! Linda was a pleasure to work with, I felt very comfortable with her and she worked hard to help me find the perfect dress. Most of their selection was pricey but I found the perfect dress and it cost about the same that my #1 choice at Davids Bridal was, but the Serendipity dress was much higher quality and an overall better shopping experience. I bought my dress a little late and they said it would be a close call on getting it in on time and fitted, but everything came in and was done with time to spare. However, it was difficult getting information on an ETA for it once it was ordered, it was a little stressful but in the end, it was all good!

Serendipity has a wonderful selection of designer gowns and I made the drive at least a dozen times over the last year from San Antonio to Austin because you can not find gowns like that in San Antonio. If you purchase your dress from Serendipity, do not hesitate to use their alterationist Rosie, she really works very well with the gowns and has a lot of experience with the higher end gowns. I went over my budget on the dress, but who can say no to Lazaro?

This review is in response to an older, negative review that I'd written about the salon (you can scroll and see below).
I originally bought my dress back in March and it was delivered in a very timely fashion. I did not realize there was a black stain woven into the beading of the dress until I had moved out of state as my fiance is in the military. When I initially reached out to the salon to help rectify the situation, I was very unpleased with the customer service. I took it upon myself to find a seamstress close to my new home in California who could help fix the dress. In the meantime, the manager of Serendipity, Kayte, very sweetly reached out to me to offer her deepest apologies. While I really appreciate how quickly she responded to me, I was still struggling to find someone who was comfortable enough to undo the beading in my dress to remove the black threading. Kayte followed by mailing me compensation for my time and travel expenses spent finding a new seamstress, which was awesome. I was happy about how quickly my dress was ready for pickup, and also happy during my initial consultation. Although the black thread situation was not ideal, I am very pleased with how quickly and effectively management took care of my problem. I would recommend this salon to any bride.

I purchased my dress here. I have mixed feelings about Serendipity. On one hand, my experience there was lovely when I went shopping. We had the undivided attention of our sales woman who was super fun and very friendly. She narrowed down exactly what we were looking for, gave me good advice about what will look good on me and what won't, and ultimately found me a great floor sample dress for a great price.
On the other hand, she did not fit the dress on me properly (with the clips etc) during the session and when I bought it and took it to the seamstress, I found that I was lucky to get it on!! Normally, this isn't a problem, because you wouldn't buy the floor sample, but there were some tears etc and my purchase was based on the fact that she insisted that the dress was big and we could have the torn part taken up. Well...the dress wasn't big, she had it cinched up improperly on me and in fact, it fit just right. I had to get a little creative about the tears and ultimately it worked out but I really wasn't happy to spend that much money on a dress that I couldn't return and wasn't really what she said it was.
The moral here: go here, expect to spend $$ and make sure your fitter knows her/his stuff.

My first experience with Serendipity Bridal was great. The person who helped me was the buyer for the store. She was very professional. She made sure my bridesmaids and I were comfortable and having fun - she offered us drinks and made sure they were ready to see each dress I tried on. (In my opinion, this is important and the fun part of trying on dresses). She was great at offering suggestions and made sure I had plenty of dress options. She even suggested a dress that I would have never tried on -- I fell in love with it and ended up buying it! My second experience, the fitting, with Serendipity Bridal was so-so. I brought my mom in for the fitting, which I thought was also going to determine what needed adjusting. I wish SB would have communicated that the visit was just to see if the dress was what I ordered and if everything was OK. When I arrived with my mom, I was very disappointed with the girl who helped me. She skipped over us in line at the front desk, didn't offer much help with getting the dress on and off, didn't offer my mom anything to drink, and didn't give notice to my mom when she opened the door. This was a big deal for me because my mom had never seen my dress before. After all of this, I felt that after I bought the dress, service was no longer a priority. In addition, there was also a lot of miscommunication between SB, my seamstress, Noori, and me. By the way, SB recommended Noori, whom I LOVED! She was great. I can't recommend Noori enough. With all that said, I would still suggest a friend to make an appointment with Serendipity Bridal. Perhaps the girl who helped me was new and didn't have enough experience. If you can, get the buyer!

Olga assited me in finding the perfect dress. She made the process very simple by pulling every type of gown that I was interested in. She put me in each type know that they were not going to flatter me as well as another dress could. In the end she pulled several more types that were her choice for me. She was a professional who knew exactly what type of gown to put me in from the moment I walked in the door. I ended up buying a gown that was her choice for me and I loved it.

The problems that I experienced with Serendipity began after the dress purchace. I was told that I was too early to make an appointment to get fitted because the books dont go out that many months. I recieved a voicemail a couple of months later letting me know the gown was in but not requesting a call back. I recieved a call a month after that asking if I still wanted my dress because I had not come in to claim it. I had not been told that I needed to do that but I quickly scheduled a trip to Austin. I called in a couple months before the wedding to schedule a fitting but they were booked up and they had to refer me to an outside seamstress. I had been told that I was too early to schedule this appointment and that a couple months before would be fine. Using an outside seamstress included transporting the dress.

Great selection of dresses but...some of the ladies who work here are definitely bitchy and way too pushy. All dresses arrived on time or before and I had no issues with them ordering the wrong colors/sizes or anything. Still love my dress...best one in Austin!

For a higher end boutique I expected better service. Shopping and picking my dress was fun but pressured. I knew exactly what I wanted so I was a very easy customer. I only tried on 4 dresses total, all of which I picked myself. When I told them my wedding date they said that I had plenty of time and that they could do my alterations. The woman talked me into going up to a size 4 instead of ordering my normal size of a 2 and the sample size that fit me perfect was a 0. I trusted her years of experience over my limited knowledge of wedding gowns. When my gown came in a month earlier than their estimate, I was excited to get the alterations started. When I showed up to try my dress on it was much too big and the ENTIRE dress would need to be altered. They then informed me that they would now not be able to do my alterations because they were too busy. The snarky woman told me "ummm it's wedding season." Ohh I'm sorry, I do not work in the wedding industry and had no idea when wedding season was. So when I first started shopping and they told me that I had plenty of time and that they could easily do my alterations now that wasn't the case. Another woman came up to me because she over heard the other woman and gave me a list of alteration places. I left feeling sad and confused. I called all of the places on the list and the last one I called was the only one that answered. I think that she could hear the concern in my voice so she agreed to take on the project of my dress. Because the dress had to be completely re-done and sized down it took 4 fittings and $1000. My dress was done 5 days before my wedding day. The dress turned out amazing, and it photographed beautifully. Serendipity was a disappointment, it was like once they got my money they then just passed me off.

I thought I would arrive 5-10 minutes late to my appointment so I called them 30 minutes before the scheduled appointment time as a courtesy to give them a heads up. They were snippy and rude over the phone - saying they could not hold my appointment if we were late even a few minutes. When we did show up on time, we were told our consultant was running late and we had to wait 30 minutes before being helped! I wanted to walk out of the store immediately but a dress caught my eye that I ultimately purchased as a sample sale.

My consultant was very professional and helpful when she was available.

Only go if there is a sale. Prices are pretty pricey here and the service is snooty.

I fell in love with a style of dress after reading just 1 bridal magazine. I found out that Serendipity Bridal carried the designer and made an appointment. The second dress was the one; it was that simple.

We ordered it and were told it would be ready for fittings in 5-6 months, and they would call. They didn't, and luckily I decided to call since I was trying to schedule my portraiture. I have no idea when they actually received it. However, they understood that the fittings needed to be started immediately since my portraiture had to be before the holidays.

The in-house seamstress couldn't get around to fitting me for months (after the wedding, not to mention the portraiture), so Serendipity contacted one of their out-of-house seamstresses to handle the fittings. I had one fitting with her, and there were very few alterations to be made. Now, it is ready for the photos, and I'm very grateful that they had a relatively inexpensive seamstress available to work with me from her home.

However, they never contacted me regarding the arrival of the dress, and were less than polite when I broached using an out-of-house seamstress. They've been helpful and pleasant in person, but they were downright rude over the phone.

Bottom line- they have beautiful dresses and are willing to work with you when pushed, but they're very reluctant to the point of offensive when you ask too many questions.

I would say this store was ok. The quality of service was not as great as I received at some other stores and the ambiance wasn't much either. I don't think I would have purchased my dress here if I wasn't on such a time constraint.

After purchasing the dress the responsiveness completely disappeared. I left messages, sent emails and called to no response until I asked for the store owner. The store also could not fit me in with their seamstress and could not provide any recommendations on a seamstress in San Antonio.

My dress did come in on time as the store had told me upon ordering. Also, they couldn't get me the veil I want, but did offer a good alternative and sold me lace that I had the seamstress I found stitch onto a veil.

Overall, it was a pretty mediocre experience. I would not recommend this store to a friend. Definitely underwhelming,

My budget was on the lower side for their selection so the stylist told us to walk around the racks and 'to see what I could afford'. She did not provide any help picking my dress because of my budget. I came in looking for a specific dress and fell in love with it. I purchased my dress at serendipity bridal only because it was the only store in the area with that dress. I wish I would have bought the dress somewhere else.

Although I found my stunning wedding dress at Serendipity, I can't give them the best ratings.

First of all, to their credit, the sales woman really worked with me to put me in a dress that suited my body style - it wasn't one I would have chosen off the rack (very form-fitting), but she really knew her stuff. I came out with a dress that was perfect - classic and well-crafted. We were lucky in finding an off-the-rack sample at a discounted price, otherwise price tags are pretty high in the rest of the store.

On the flip-side, the store owners made me feel uncomfortable at times, were pushy and not very friendly. I did feel pressured by them to purchase the dress, but in my case and in hindsight, I was thrilled to have made the decision to buy it.

On June 18, 2016 around 2:00 p.m., I walked into Serendipity with my bridesmaids on our way to grab a bite to eat. We had just had an appointment at another place where we had a positive experience. At Serendipity, I wanted to quickly show them the sample of the wedding dress I recently purchased there (for several thousands of dollars) and let them glance at the small selection of bridesmaids dresses. We didn't have or need an appointment and weren't planning on trying anything on. In fact, I arrived before my bridesmaids and let the staff know that. The two staff persons at Serendipity that I interacted with were rude and unwelcoming. For example and among other things, one of them grabbed the sample of my wedding dress that I had taken to the next isle to show to my bridesmaids and said something along the lines of, "We don't drag" and then she rudely took the dress away and walked off. They were unwelcoming the entire time and did not offer us any type of welcome or common courtesies. It was embarrassing and I'm sorry I invited my bridesmaids to go there and be treated in such a way. We will not be purchasing our bridesmaids dresses there. My wedding dress is all but paid for and the staff at Serendipity were perfectly pleasant when I was looking to spend thousands of dollars; but afterward, clearly no longer felt the need to extend even common courtesies. We were extremely disappointed and turned off by the experience.

DO NOT GO TO SERENDIPITY BRIDAL
This was the worst part of my wedding experience & the only thing that went wrong. I ordered my dress on MARCH 15, 2013 & picked it up on JANUARY 28, 2014. It took 10 month to get a dress that wasn’t a custom order. Basically, Serendipity lost my dress order, lied to me until the dress came in, & ordered the wrong dress. When I ordered the dress, Linda, the manager, told me to call back end of July – early August to set up a fitting appointment. I did that & they sounded confused on the phone but to call back in late August. I did that, and then went through a month of “we’re tracking your order but we will call you back.” Of course, there were never any call backs. Finally, my mom began to handle the problem and we were told the dress was on back order & would be in late October. My mother in law began to handle the issue because she lives in Austin & I live in Houston. October 19th, the dress came in, so both my mother in law & I went to pick it up. IT WAS THE WRONG DRESS! The dress came in two different options. The bodice could be lined or unlined. I wanted unlined, this one was lined. The dress was paid off by this point, so I took it in hopes they would rush order me a new one & I would exchange the wrong dress for the correct one. My mother in law was on the phone for a week trying to get them to rush order me a new dress. I thought the manager was a problem at first but it turns out that it was the male owner that was really the issue. I found out that my husband has a distant relative that works for Watters, the maker of the dress. This ordeal went so far that I was contacting Watters to track my dress because I didn’t trust Serendipity. So January 28th hits & I am finally able to pick up the right dress. After the ordeal was over, I rescheduled my bridal photos 3 times & had to take them in 39 degree weather. Please do not be a sitting duck & walk into Serendipity to look at dresses. It’s not worth it.

I went in there with my mom and the lady with the accent was terrible to work with. She was very pushy and tried to convince my mom to buy me a dress with a tear in it. My mom told her a pretty high budget but she still showed us only the clearance dresses. I left very upset.
