Lisa(and her assistant taylor) was amazing. Lisa and her husband are long time friends of ours. She was great from start to finish. She help and gave insight on every question I had. I was thinking out of the box and she delivered. I had a cake swing that the people at the place couldn't get it up but her and taylor figured it out because that was the one thing I really wanted. Wedding rehearsal went great, if it didn't look right we was starting over. She engaged with my wedding party who was mostly from nyc, telling them to pose half way down, letting them know have fun with it. The night before my wedding I still had braids in my hair she was like girl give me a comb ill help you lol. it was not her just being a wedding coordinator but her just being the amazing helpful women that we all love. -

Lisa (and her assistant Taylor) was awesome. At least half a dozen of our guests told me how great she was, that she had personally checked on them and made sure they were having a good time. From my perspective, everything went seamlessly - if there were any issues, they never made it to me, so Lisa must have dealt with them! Her services were so cheap compared with other DOCs we interviewed that we weren't sure what we were going to get, but she could have charged us three times the price and it would've been worth it. Don't hesitate to hire Lisa and her team if you want to enjoy your wedding day and not have to stress about anything! -

I began my wedding planning process with the mindset that I wouldn't need a day of coordinator... and I was SO wrong. Pretty early into wedding planning my (now) husband and I decided we should look for a day of coordinator. We stumbled on Senger Motives, who at the time was local to our hometown and had positive reviews with people we actually knew, so we decided to book them. Lisa was AMAZING and her services went above and beyond what I expected. She handled communication with all vendors beginning several weeks before our wedding, created a timeline for the wedding day, made sure the groomsmen were dressed properly and on time, ensured that we actually got to eat (and drink) at our wedding, and even ran our rehearsal when our officiant unexpectedly couldn't make it. She and her assistant were the biggest reasons that we were able to enjoy our wedding day, rather than stress over it. We highly recommend Senger Motives, LLC to any couple looking for a wedding coordination package. You will NOT regret it! -

Senger Motives wedding planning is truly exceptional. at times the odds were against us in the midst of planning but Lisa handled things with professionalism and CLASS! she was very attentive and detail oriented. she made my wedding day the best day ever and she never let me sweat. my family loved her and her work and they continue to rave about her! It was such a pleasure to work with Lisa and her team! They did such a wonderful job all the way up the the event and amazed me with their professionalism on the day of our event. We hired her and Her team for day-off coordination + decor. Money well spent and price point was incomparable! Not to mention I was able to rent my table linens and bartenders directly from her which removed an unnecessary middle person. I can’t even express all the little things she did to make my wedding day amazing. From making such we (the bride and groom) were served to thinking quickly on her feet when a bartender decided to no-call, no-show. Truly a wonderful experience and if I hold any other large party in the future (possibly a birthday celebration) I would DEFINITELY hire her and would recommend her team to any and everyone! I hesitated to write this because my experience was different from the other reviews. I’ll summarize why I feel Senger Motives was more hurtful than helpful at my October 2 wedding to give others the opportunity to weigh my perspective against your needs, as we might be different and this vendor might still be the right fit for you.
Here are some things that didn’t go well:
-The timeline Lisa sent 9/26 had a number of errors, including the wrong names of the wrong parents and incorrect timings. Her response 9/28 stated it would be fixed and distributed to vendors. I replied 9/28 to defer to the DJ’s timeline when in doubt.
-The timeline Lisa handed my maid of honor on 10/2 was the error-filled 9/26 timeline. As a result, several members of the wedding party arrived at the incorrect time. The photographer missed important getting ready photos with me because she was miss-timed and in the groomsmens’ suite. Lisa’s adherence to her own timeline rather than what was approved by me and the DJ caused the entire wedding to miss the cake cutting, and the DJ to miss his important announcement that my mother had made the cake and cupcakes by hand. This was a special announcement I specifically planned and requested that was missed.
-Lisa placed decor from her own inventory on the dinner tables and did not follow my decor plan and requests. I shared this plan on 9/25 via email, but walked into my reception on 10/2 to decor that didn’t match. Specifically, the sweetheart table was covered with a huge Mr & Mrs block sign and white roses. Neither of these additions were suitable for the decor - the included photo shows how these additions were hiding my actual decor, which were liquor bottles lamps and two Halloween champagne flutes that would have looked much better on a minimalist table setting, as originally intended. The guest favors were requested to be placed at each seat, but Lisa disregarded this and piled them at a table by the exit. As a result, many guests did not take their favor with them and I am now paying to mail favors.
-My guest book was a $300 bourbon barrel head, wood etched with our names. Lisa’s assistant wrote “LOL” on it. I am very upset with that, as it was meant to be mounted in my home as a keepsake. I will need to carefully sand this silly addition off, as it is surrounded by kind words and sentiments from guests who wrote something appropriate for a wedding.
-Lisa caused confusion with the tables - when the caterer had everything under control. She came to me while I was running around trying to fix the timeline errors and communication plan to tell me there was a missing table. As a day of coordinator, that seems like something one might solve as per the contract stating she would “discretely handle any problems that arise” instead of looking to me to figure it out. Luckily, my mom was there and simply ASKED the caterer, who revealed the table that was not present was safely stored and would be brought out at the right moment.
Perhaps it was just my mix of vendors, but Lisa seemed to spend a lot of the evening stepping on the DJ’s toes, frustrating or duplicating efforts with the caterer, and generally giving me a lot to oversee, answer, or correct. It felt more like she was executing her vision of my event, not my vision (that was carefully documented and shared. EVERYTHING was labeled and she even received my personal spreadsheet with the decor information, vendor information, expected timeline, photo expectations, and much more.) I’d like to add that our package included her services at a rehearsal, but we did not have a rehearsal so that was just a freebie for her and her team - we knew that we’d take that loss in advance so that’s fine, and we did tip Lisa and her assistant at the end of the evening. There are other line items in the contract that were not completed as described (2 face to face consultations included, none provided; 2 venue walkthroughs included, none provided) that we took as acceptable losses, assuming the day-of coordination helped me have a smooth evening - which it did not.
The team was scheduled to leave an hour before the event ended, leaving the photographer to coordinate the departure, and me in my wedding dress to clean up.
I am very frustrated because Lisa is quite nice and the reviews were excellent. I’m thinking my event was possibly just an off day. -
