We LOVED our wedding at Seminary Hill. It's obviously gorgeous, but it was everything else that made our experience so special. The food was delicious (and very well-priced compared to other vendors). The whole support staff was incredible, going so out of their way to do set up and make our weekend as easy as possible. Staying at the Mountain House and holding our rehearsal dinner here was a breeze with all the support from Seminary Hill. Highly recommend!

As soon as we stepped foot on this property we knew Seminary Hill was where we wanted to have our wedding. The property, views, and venue as a whole are just breathtaking. The house and the guest house on the property served as the perfect accommodations for our wedding party to stay and get ready at for the weekend. Kayce, the wedding coordinator there, truly helped make all of our wedding visions come to life. The venue and the entire Seminary Hill Team exceeded all of our expectations. We could not have picked a better place and can't thank everyone there enough!

We made the last-minute decision to host our wedding welcome drinks at Seminary Hill and we’re so glad that we hosted the event there.

Event manager Kayce is very friendly and worked closely with us to come up with an event that worked well for both parties within a matter of weeks. Although we did not rent out the entire venue, Kayce was able to shut off a part of the indoor and outdoor venue for our party. We loved that our guests could roam inside and outside, and highly appreciated the little details like fresh flowers on each table. We offered an open bar and a simple buffet with pulled pork and a few sides–and it was a big hit. Every single person raved about the gorgeous setting, the delicious food (the corn bread was a huge hit among our international visitors), and the large variety of local ciders, beers, and wines. We could not have imagined a better start to our wedding weekend!

Last but not least, not only Kayce but all staff at Seminary Hill are exceptionally friendly and helpful. We highly recommend considering the cidery for your events and we look forward to stopping by whenever we’re in the area.

We had a Fall wedding at Seminary Hill and I couldn't recommend this venue more! The view is STUNNING. The house is perfect. The guest house is an absolute bonus (we invited close friends to stay next door). And the folks at Seminary Hill are a pleasure to work with, especially the property manager Bill. He was beyond helpful and extremely friendly. He helped us wrangle vendors before the wedding, he helped with setup and when any issues arose the day before, and he was just all-around a pleasure to work with. He made our experience so enjoyable and he was also instrumental to ensuring the weekend ran smoothly.

From the moment we stepped onto the property and saw the gorgeous views we knew there was something special about Seminary Hill. This feeling only grew across our planning process, and ended with an amazing day for our wedding. Having the property for the weekend allowed us time to gather with our family and bridal party, which was great given we were all coming from out of state. There was so much flexibility to the site to be whatever we wanted it to, and we were able to add our own touches to all aspects of the day. We absolutely cannot say enough about how helpful Bill (the property manager), Colleen and Shannon (Venue planners) were throughout the entire planning process. They returned communications quickly and were able to help us problem solve any questions we might have. They also gave amazing recommendations, and helped us with coordinating deliveries and drop offs. All of those involved with Seminary Hill were incredibly kind, and made themselves available all weekend for whatever we might need, including things we hadn’t even considered. We were married in the fall, and the views were absolutely breathtaking as a backdrop. We are still waiting on our professional pictures, but we included a few from guests so you can get a sense of what we are talking about. Our guests also loved s’mores by the firepit, and we’ve gotten so many compliments about everyone’s lovely weekend away. We can’t thank Seminary Hill enough for making our day so special, and we hope to visit again someday soon!

Where do we even start with this majestic place. We must start with the property manager Bill. He IS Seminary Hill. It would not be the destination it is without him. He cares for this property and home with the passion and care one care's for his own child, and it shows. The house is stunning, and the photos do not do justice to the views of this property. What you don't see in the listing are all the mowed paths through the rolling fields and orchard, or the bald eagles flying by during sunset (that actually happened!). We had everything we needed in the home, and Bill and Colleen were quick to assist in anything else we need arranged. Thank you so much!

Having our wedding at Seminary Hill was the best decision we made! Everything about the process was so wonderful. Bill is the most kind and helpful person I have ever met. We were able to create our dream wedding. Having the venue for the weekend was so special. Our whole family was able to spend the entire weekend together. Our wedding party was able to sleep on site. The grounds are breathtaking and offer stunning views of the Delaware River and Catskills. We didn't even need too many decorations - the site is so beautiful! We loved being able to take charge and have flexibility with choice of venders. The property is huge and offers numerous options for ceremony and reception locations. Callicoon is the most charming town. Our guests loved going to the local coffee shop and walking around Main Street. Thank you so much! We will be back! :)

We couldn't have picked a better location for our wedding! If you're looking for the idyllic, low-key upstate wedding venue, this is your spot.

When we came to do the site visit, it was the middle of winter and the property was still stunning. When we arrived on site for our wedding week, we were simply blown away by how beautiful the setting is during the summer. Our family and guests were raving about the views as well! The house and the guest house on the property served as the perfect accommodations and most of our bridal party were able to stay right on site. The master bedroom upstairs is truly the perfect bridal suite!

Reuben and Colleen were extremely responsive and accommodating throughout the process, answering all my questions as they came along (and there are a lot when you're planning a wedding!). During our wedding week, the property manager, Bill, really went above and beyond. He helped us set up, drove us to the orchard for photos, helped with parking on the day of, put out directional signs etc.

We are honored to say that we were the first couple to be married at this stunning venue. We feel like we discovered this hidden gem, and are so happy that other couples will be able to enjoy this highly uncommon venue for their momentous day!
The very moment we arrived for our viewing, we were 100% won over. Emerging out of this deer studded, wooded area, you enter a clearing; the cabin rises into view, and this breathtaking view of mountains opens up, vast and infinite. It is honestly one of those "you have to see it to understand it" experiences.
The grounds are HUGE, leaving you with so many different options and scenarios to create anything you could possibly want for your wedding. There is even a stone fire pit with seating! I could go on and on about the grounds, about how you can watch the clouds roll down the mountain in the morning and back up at night, about the ever-changing view of the mountains and the Delaware River, the private hiking paths that lead you all over the property, and the star filled skies at night.
The cabin includes a guest house, which was fantastic for us to separate into bride and groom suites. It had plenty of room to house my side of the family, a full kitchen, and is wonderfully homey from the start.
The main cabin is beautifully rustic, with amazing little details that make you feel right at home. The kitchen was big enough for my catering staff to prepare everything, with a huge refrigerator to store their ingredients. The grand staircase leads to the master bedroom, which is separate from the two other bedrooms on the lower level. It has an amazing balcony with a view with the grounds.
Rueben was so amazing to work with, as was his groundskeeper Bill. They both worked so hard to help us create our vision, and were so accommodating with our special requests.
To sum it up, this venue is sure to be a unique celebration for each couple, and it will give your guests a more than memorable experience!

Seminary Hill is a truly stunning and unique venue with several beautiful options for ceremony sites and ways to plus up your experience. We stayed in the Mountain House and had our families in the Boarding Houses which was so convenient. The Mountain House is incredible and made our weekend so very special. While the wedding venue coordinator was pretty curt throughout the year-long planning process, the staff on site during the weekend - Bill and Anne, and Mackenzie at the boarding houses - are stellar. So warm and friendly, going above and beyond to make our wedding weekend perfect. I will say lack of infrastructure in Callicoon and accommodations in nearby areas was a challenge, though that's nothing to do with Seminary Hill.

Seminary Hill is the perfect location for any size wedding, any time of the year. Between the breathtaking views, accommodations for guests, beautiful venue, and amazing food and drink - what more is there to ask for?!

When my husband and I first visited Seminary Hill, the mountain views and the fog rolling down the Delaware River took our breath away. Our original 2020 wedding plans were canceled because of COVID, and after various iterations and postponements, having our fall wedding at Seminary Hill felt like the light at the end of the tunnel. Our far-flung friends and family stayed at the well-appointed Mountain House and Seminary Boarding House, and the weekend affair included an orchard tour and fire pit with s’mores on-site. We held our ceremony in the bucolic orchard and a reception for 75 in the tasting room—we were the first couple to christen the space for a wedding reception! Guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the deck, dinner and dancing in the tasting room, and, of course, the delicious ciders on tap.

The property manager Bill went above and beyond to make sure our families were set up to have a successful and fun weekend—from delivering farm tables and chairs for the rehearsal dinner to readying the fire pit, from setting up the ceremony arbor and even assisting with load-out the day after the wedding. Our wedding weekend was magical and I would highly recommend tying the knot at this special venue.
