Amazing selection of rental items!
Select Event Group worked with our catering company to provide rentals for our September 2024 wedding. While we didn't communicate directly with the event company throughout the wedding planning process, we did meet with a staff member at the show room and we were so impressed with the number of options we were able to choose from our our wedding rentals! The staff member took detailed notes during our show room visit and everything was delivered on our wedding day as we had intended. We were very happy with Select Event Group - check them out for your wedding rental needs! -

Great rental company
We used Select Event Group for our tables, we wanted fun salad plates and water goblets that went with our napkin color selection. Our inspiration was Alice in Wonderland/whimsical garden party. Renting their goblets and colorful salad plates were the final touches that really pulled the whole look together. I was able to go to their new showroom in Frederick, MD and put together a sample of what it would look like which helped me in deciding if I wanted to use the last of our budget that way and once I saw it and was given the quote it was a clear that this is what we should do. Everything looked beautiful on the wedding day and they definitely helped. -

We rented gold chivari chairs with white cushions for our wedding, and they were perfect (and in perfect condition). It was so easy to rent with Select Event Group. They were in communication throughout the process. If you need ANYTHING for your wedding, 1000% rent with Select Event! -

Incredible rental group
One of the smartest decisions we made when planning our wedding was using Select Event Group! They paid meticulous attention to detail from our first meeting to our big day in November. The team was absolutely incredible allowing us to take the time to make decisions from the plates, to glassware, but also assisting us in the choices we were making. The warehouse also has just STUNNING and MANY options to choose from too. They were able to take my vision as a bride and make it come to life. If you are planning a wedding in the area, you MUST hire Select Event Group for your decor needs, you won't regret it. Thank you endlessly for everything! -

Helpful and friendly service; a variety of products for any budget!
We really enjoyed working with Select - their showroom had a lot of options to choose from and their staff were extremely helpful. They were communicative and patient, as my now-husband and I didn’t really know where to start in the process. Thankfully our wedding planner was able to join us (as well as our florist who brought along a sample centerpiece so we could see how it would all look together - highly recommend asking your florist to do the same if possible!!). We rented chairs, linens, chargers, and silverware from them - all of which were delivered to our venue with no issues. We were blown away by how amazing everything looked on the day of and it truly elevated the look of our wedding. After our wedding, there was a slight issue with missing linens and they worked with our venue to resolve the problem and avoided us having to pay a late fee. Highly recommend Select for any event rentals! -

Great linen and tableware rentals!
We truly enjoyed picking out our linens and tableware with Select Event Rentals. They had lots of variety at their warehouse near us (Manassas, VA). It was so fun trying out all of the different options! On the wedding day, everything went very smoothly with them and our caterer, Pampas Fox.-

Great quality linens for our wedding day
Select Events was a seamless and easy linen experience for our wedding! They were responsive and communicated quickly to our emails, and their website was easy to navigate. We chose our linens a bit later than we would have liked, but they accommodated our date and had the perfect linens for our guest tables and sweetheart table. I would highly recommend them for any linen needs! -

The best selection!
I've been a wedding photographer for a gajillion years and all of my couples that do rentals get them from Select. So when it was my turn to plan our wedding, I was REALLY excited to go in and see what they had to offer!
Getting the place settings from Select was the most bougie, unnecessary thing I did for our wedding, and it was honestly one of the things I was most excited about decor-wise lol. Our caterer provides plates and flatware, but I wanted something prettier than just the boring typical options, especially since we weren't going hard on florals for guest tables.
Select allowed me TWO meetings to select the things I wanted to use for our wedding. The first time I probably went in a little too early and although we picked the plates, flatware, etc. we wanted, the tablecloth and napkins I picked ended up not quite being the right choice given the florals and everything else. As the rest of the wedding vision came together, I went back in, we looked at all of the options again, and changed the linen order. I am very thankful for them being so flexible and letting me come in again because it ended up being PERFECT!!
I will update this review with photos when we get them from our photographers of the details, but man, I am obsessed. Thank you Select!! -

Beautiful linens and great service
We rented our wedding linens from Select. It started by making an appointment to see the linens in the showroom and creating a tablescape. Samantha was so wonderful and helpful during this process! She allowed me to take my time and bring my own decor to try out different patterns. She even sent me pictures after I had left to help me decide. Instead of it seeming like a chore I really enjoyed myself! On the day of the wedding, we decided to pick up the linens and there was a small mix-up on the location to pick them up but Select corrected it IMMEDIATELY. Samantha sent us a nice note and it was resolved quickly and professionally. The quality of their linens is top-notch and I highly recommend working with them! -

Lovely rentals
We used Select Event Group for a lot of the rentals for our wedding in 12/2022. Some of the things included the tableware, i.e. plates, knives, napkins, glasses, and tablecloths. My wedding planner did most of the coordinating so I can’t comment on their communication. As far as the quality of their materials I loved everything they provided. They had so many options and, as far as I know, the drop off and pick up went smoothly. -

Wonderful rentals!
We had a great experience working with Select Event Group for our larger wedding rentals. We got our cane-back chairs, bars, tables, and napkins, table cloths through them, including the gorgeous Rayne Ivory table cloths that we used for our welcome table, cake table, etc. They were so easy to work with, and everything looked lovely! -

Beautiful selection
Wonderful experience working with Debra. I went to the showroom and she helped me choose the linens for my wedding. It was overwhelming and she helped me narrow some options down. We were able to put them on some tables in the showroom with the place setting so I knew exactly what it would look like. Linens were delivered and beautiful for cocktail hour and ceremony. Very professional and responsive. Great company to work with for any table needs!-

Beautiful rentals, excellent service, great value
My wedding planner Sara Bauleke at Bella Notte recommended Select Event Rentals for linens, china, stemware and flatware, and chairs. She visited the Tysons location to choose everything with me "attending" via FaceTime because I was sick with breakthrough covid. The selection they offered was exactly what we needed, with lots of beautiful options for linens. Sara has a great relationship with Select, and all their communication with her and with me was perfect — on time, accurate, flexible when we made changes and additions. Everything was delivered exactly on time and in perfect condition and then picked up on time. Great value. Highly recommend.-

Beautiful rentals
We used Select Event Group for our chairs and linens for our 2/26/22 wedding and could not have been happier. I was able to go to the warehouse and see my options, and I received a quote that was less than I was expecting (the one time that happened with the wedding planning process!). The booking process was extremely flexible - I made changes to my order just a few weeks in advance with no penalties or issues. Everything looked great the day of the wedding. -

Large selection and easy process
We rented several things for our recent wedding (including couches, a rug, side tables, glassware, and linens) and had a great experience. Select is Top Knotch!
I desperately wanted a sailcloth tent for my intimate backyard wedding. Select delivered!!! Literally delivered the tent, but also delivered in service, quality, and communication. Would highlight recommend them for all your rentals: tents, chairs, linens, glassware. It was all excellent quality. And their staff is flexible and high touch. 10/10 recommend. -

Five Star Service!
Wow! We have never seen a more professional operation than the folks at Select Event Group! We were in a bit of a bind finding out that we needed to tent our wedding a few weeks out due to indoor capacity restrictions. What started out as an anxiety-inducing problem was fixed in no time thanks to Vicki and her team. Within a few short days Vicki met us at the event space, had it measured, and provided an estimate within hours. It was amazing to see her work and you could tell Select has definitely been in the business for awhile. Their prices were reasonable and Vicki was very responsive via email. The day before the wedding, they had the very large tent and two smaller tents up within a few short hours and kept in constant communication with us. We 10 out of 10 recommended Select Event Group…they are definitely the best around! -

High Quality Rentals

Thanks to COVID-19, my husband and I needed to recalibrate our wedding several times. When we finally decided on a family-only backyard ceremony, everything — from the guest count to the venue to the season — had changed. The team at Select Event Group made it super easy to pick out new linens and tableware to match our new aesthetic. The selection process, which took place in their showroom, was one of my favorite parts of wedding planning. They have a ton of great options and price points.
Also, they’ve just recently redesigned their website to include images of all of their inventory, which is really helpful if you’re creating a mood board or trying to visualize different combinations of linens, patterns, furniture, etc. As a bride, I always thought it was tough to reconcile what I was seeing on wedding websites with what vendors actually offered. The website and selection process made that much easier. The end result was beautiful! Thank you so much! -

Beautiful Rentals
We worked with Select via our catering company, Grandale Catering. I loved working with Select! I was able to visit their showroom in Tysons to choose all the rentals and it was so much fun. They helped me stay in my price point and I never felt pressured to choose something that wasn't the right fit for me. All of the rentals arrived on time and were absolutely marvelous. Thank you! -

I was referred to Select Event Group by my wedding coordinator at my reception venue. Select was awesome, they went back and forth with me while I asked for pricing, changed my totals, and changed the colors. I ended up ordering chiavari chairs through them. It was the easiest thing I did for the wedding. Once I signed and paid, they took care of the rest. They set up the delivery, setup, and pickup with my reception venue and I got to relax and check something off my list. They have a lot to offer, and great customer service! -

My wedding planner recommended Select Event for the linens we rented for my wedding at the Hotel Monaco. I wanted something other than the standard white linen that the hotel offered and Select Event had a great selection! We chose a beautiful two-tone tablecloth for the dinner tables and they added the perfect touch of elegance. We chose a different, textured linen for the cake stand and the bride/groom table. We also rented napkins to complement the dinner table linens. All of the linens were in great shape and they looked beautiful. The company was very responsive, as we made the decision less than two weeks prior to the wedding. I didn't check out any other vendors but the price seemed reasonable enough. The resulting look was definitely worth the money, though! -

I'm a wedding planner, and one of my recent couples and I worked with Select Event Group for rentals (chairs, tables, linens, tabletop, etc.), lighting, and their tent. This meant we were working with three different divisions of the company, and each one was equally professional. They were great before the event, on the event day, and after. Setup was a challenge because of the venue layout, but they managed everything well and had all of the components set up properly and on time. In the end, the event looked just like the renderings I'd prepared months earlier! I love Select, and look forward to many future events with their team. -

We were able to add and subtract things from our invoice until 2 days from the wedding. Our caterer put us in touch with Select Event Group for our 300 guest wedding on our family farm. We worked with Vicky for our tent rental and Debra for our tables, chairs, and dance floor rentals. Select is very smart to have different divisions for the rentals – each contact is a total expert in their division, rather than everyone in the company trying to know everything! Debra and Vicky worked with our requests and multiple changes to our floor plan and tent size. Vicky and Debra were on site both days during set up to handle any issues that may have come up. All of the staff who set up were very professional as well. I still smile every time I see one of the “Big Blue” Select trucks on the road. Very highly recommended! -

Hiring Select for our event design was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding reception at Westin Georgetown. Their selection of linens, chargers, and other rental items met every expectation and demand we had for our reception space. Select provided a sample of our rented items free of charge for both our wedding tasting and our floral and AV/pin spot testing. I would shop around before settling on Select, but their prices are fairly reasonable, and they have a better selection than most (if not all) of their competitors. -

A day at the Select Event Group's warehouse was such a fun and stress free experience. It was like playing dress up for your dinner tables! Select has such a large and fantastic selection to choose from, and the staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. Jessica Fernandez and Kelly Andres were patient, helpful, flexible, and communicative throughout the entire process, even as we were making last minute adjustments the week of the wedding. Our linen rentals arrived to our event as promised, and our gold galaxy dinner linens amongst all truly big a big difference in the impressions we made on our guests. We also were able to order irish coffee mugs for our hot chocolate bar for an affordable rate that also helped class up that element of our event. Jessica and Kelly were always positive, and I felt valued as one of their brides. I'd highly recommend you 'select' Select Event Group if you are looking to work with a professional, above and beyond staff to really make a big splash on your wedding day. -

I was indecisive about our rentals during the first trip to their show room and after selecting items that I thought we would like, I ended up changing my mind. Susan was very accommodating and helpful. Later in the process, we visited again with our caterer to select dishes and flatware for our reception. Susan was again friendly. Later, when it was time to pay for other rentals (Chairs, etc), Susan was VERY helpful over the phone collecting payment, even after my card was declined (daily spending limits - ARGH!). Select was recommended to me by my caterer (Carlotta Botvin at Good Tydings). I dealt with Shari who provided excellent expertise and attention to my needs. I rented linens and hurricane globes through Select for my wedding and my sister rented a punch bowl, martini glasses, and chairs for my bridal shower. Both experiences with Shari were great. I must have called her about 10 times to discuss the hurricane rentals (we originally needed more than they had available) and every time Shari was professional and very helpful. Their showroom is a little small, but the linen samples and example table setups are very inventive and beautiful. Shari made some great recommendations to my mother and I when we first met with her, and since she had a long time professional relationship with my caterer, the behind the scenes organization went so smoothly. -

They can be on the expensive side so make sure you ask if they are having any specials when you make your reservation. I rented chavari chairs, goblets, and chargers from Select Events.
Select Event Rentals was a dream to work with. I dealt with their sales person Loren Lippman for a year before the wedding and she is so very sweet and ALWAYS willing to help and go above and beyond to help with things that may not even concern her. Loren helped me so much with planning the wedding. What I also loved about Loren is that it was never more than an hour before she would return my phone call or email I was amazed.
In addition select events had the best products and best prices around for the items I rented and were willing to work with me on everything. I was so pleased with everything. You have to be careful with rental companies because some will provide you with dented, scratched, or rusted items but NOT select events everything was like new and gorgeous.

Select did call me a few months after I placed my inital order to tell me that the table linen that I had chosen was no longer available. At first, I was really upset but when I went to the shop to pick new linen Susan explained that something was wrong with the fabric and that the linen was changing color (it was a shimmery toffee with a blue undertint) and would arrive at my wedding looking more seafoam green than toffee!! That would have been just awful and not at all right with our rich fall colored theme. I am thankful to her for being honest, for knowing her product so well and for being so customer service oriented. Thanks Select! -

Select was very responsive and helpful for our wedding. We had a lot of questions and a lot of last-minute needs (generator, who knew?) and they were super responsive and helpful with everything. We were quite indecisive and the team was friendly and patient and gave us helpful opinions on what might be traditional or fun for our summer wedding. We tended to stay in the neutral color and design zone, but on their suggestion, we went with a colorful, artsy linen for our cocktail hour, which added a chic and summery touch to the cocktail hour and came out great in the photos. -

The people on site were very helpful, suggesting table settings to go with the outdoor event. They answered a number of follow-up emails promptly and thoroughly. They were also very responsive to phone calls and questions. I would work with them again! -

I used Select Events for chivari chair rentals and dish rentals for our wedding. All of the items were in great condition and as far as I know delivery and pick-up went smoothly. Everyone I talked to at Select (mostly Ramona and Shari) was very helpful and responsive, well organized and patient with changes to the order. They offered good suggestions and seemed to take a real interest in the event going well.
The delivery fees are high, especially for "after hours." However, I think the hotel could also have been more flexible with their pick up times. Overall this was one of the best and easiest vendors I worked with! -

I rented linens from this company. Ramona really listened to me and showed me linens in my price range. She also has a good eye for what goes together. I almost got there napkin rings but at the last minute I didn't get it.
I started off with copper sheer and copper linens. Ramona let me borrow them so I can see what they look like at my venue. I ended up changing my colors and Ramona made it so easy to change.
I really like their vast selection and it was half-off in March - can't beat that!
The only thing I would say about cost is that if it were full price they are about $24-30 for each linen. This is probably comparable to other places but I couldn't spend that much for linens. Also, they have a hefty delivery fee of $70 and it only includes dropping off the linens and picking them up. -

We used Select Events through our caterer, but the selection they have is great. I had an appointment to go through their show room in Laurel and pick out all the linens, plates, glasswear etc. and the staff there (Ramona) was really great to work with and showed us so many options and ideas. They were also very flexible with adding rentals last minute as we adjusted our set up. Really fun and nonstressful experience. -

I used Select for not only my linens, tables and chairs but also for my tent. Despite the rentals and tent being different divisions, both of my representatives were very helpful. They were very responsive with questions and changes I wanted to make. However, I was a little disappointed that they couldn't work out that both my rentals and tent could be delivered at the same time. So I was hit with two separate delivery/pick up fee. -

The people at Select Event Rentals near Roland Park really were extremely helpful and very flexible....I am not able to visualize large tablecloths from a 6x6 swatch...so the lady offered to allow us to take one tablecloth of each one we were looking at using for a day to our venue to see how they look larger and in real life....it was soooo helpful and we went with them for the higher end tablecloths we were using...they were wonderful. -

I worked with Ramona in the Mclean store. She was great in helping me figure out and get samples of what would work best with our decor and our budget. Overall, pretty good service. They did say we lost a few things, which we dispute, but they never charged us for them so it didn’t really matter. The selection was good and our tables looked really nice. I see them as more of a high-end rental company, and if we weren’t receiving a discount, we might not have ordered through them. They delivered to the venue and picked up from the venue for a nominal fee. -

We really liked the chairs that we got from Select Event Rentals. I spoke with Ramona several times and she was always very helpful. She helped me to choose the best cover for the chiavari chairs we wanted. The only possible problem would be if your venue will not allow delivery and pick-up to be on weekdays because they charge a couple hundred dollars to deliver and pick-up on the weekend. -

I used linen and a riser from Select Rentals. They had alot of colors and designs to choose from. Sheree is very professional, I enjoyed working with her. However, I did have a mishap with them that almost caused a serious problem. The day before the wedding Select was suppose to deliver linen and the riser to the reception venue. The venue had two locations, before Select went to the venue they confirmed with me the location of the venue. However, Select went to the wrong venue plus, the venue they were suppose to go to was an hour away and the venue was about to close for the day. I didnt know about this until after the wedding, thanks to my husband and wedding planner. The next day Select arrived early to the reception venue and everything went perfect! -

Even if you select a few rentals, the pickup fee is hefty!
We absolutely loved the blue water glasses - it was something we wanted to tie in with our very bright and summery coral, peach, raspberry colors and we'd seen it in a bunch of other pictures at our venue Shadow Creek. The only issue we had was that there was no flexibility in the late-night pickup fee even for just the water glasses and napkins - surprising even using a caterer that they very regularly work with instead going independently on our own. -

I just want to say that Sperry tents really are so beautiful! I was amazed with how gorgeous they are in person as well, I would def recommend. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars was due to responsiveness. It would take multiple calls/emails to get responses. Also, sine issues with things they didn't have we're not brought up until 2 days before delivery (and after I had paid). They just need some help with the office communication. -

Select was hired to provide all of the rentals for our at-home wedding, from the tent and flooring to the tables and chairs. They didn't always get back to us right away and we had to follow up with them a few times, and also ask questions a few times before they were answered. The biggest problem we had was with the delivery staff. They were extremely late and made us late for our rehearsal dinner, ruined parts of the lawn and dirtied a lot of our rentals by dumping them on the driveway and lawn, and didn't follow directions. However, once I called the office, they were quick to communicate to the staff and get things in order. They were also extremely flexible and saved the day by getting us tent walls the morning of the wedding. We were extremely appreciative of that. We would recommend them, but be sure to stay on-top of the delivery staff and keep yourself organized as well; don't take anything for granted. -

Very flexible with pick up and delivery. I had inconsistent experience with service. I went into their showroom twice and was either ignored or treated in a very dismissive manner. I called their 800 number and the service was excellent. I was a dissappointed with the quality, as many of the white chairs I rented had rust on the backs that were pretty obvious. It might be the nature of metal chairs; however, had I known that, I would have sucked up the cost and rented wooden ones. -

I have mixed feelings about Select Event. First off, their prices are quite high. When we were discussing chair rentals or chair cover rentals, I discovered that I could purchase chair covers and sashes for half of the prices of rental and rent chairs from other companies for about half the price.
That said, Shari and her team were always prompt and responsive.
I was disappointed however, that when we received the table linens, that they were mismatched-- not entirely differenct colors, but different shades of the same color. I called to ask for replacements, which they sent out, but those replacements were entirely a different color. in the end we decided that under dimmed lights and with all the decorations on the table, that the color issues was not noticable. However, it's suprising that a company charging premium prices would not have premium service. -

We rented a tent from this company. The tent looked great, however there was no one there to turn on the heaters, even though we paid for that; so it was chilly.
There was some communication in the beginning, but I think that was the venue's fault. (Oxon Hill Manor).
Much pricey than another company we wanted to work with, but we had no choice, Oxon Hill Manor only works with Select. The products we rented looked GREAT though. -
