We worked with Enrique from Second Song. We did the Party Only package where he played for just 4 hours. We communicated a bit before the wedding and he was super receptive to and understood our vision. We met in person during the reception after he introduced us and our families and we started our first game. We filled out the music form Second Song provided us in detail as we had originally thought of DJing on our own with just a playlist so we already had a pretty extensive list of “must have” songs to play for Enrique to choose from. We also had our friends requests songs in advance as well and added them to that same playlist.
There were a few snafus but we don’t know whether that was on Enrique, our venue’s A/V team, or our wedding coordinator and her team:
a) There was no grand entrance music played as he introduced us. Not sure why given it was on the form but we went straight into the game anyways (which that music was played) so it’s whatever. There seemed to be quite a few audio issues around that time, so won’t necessary blame Enrique for this.
b) During the reception, we were going to have our speeches spaced out with our parents speaking once salad course was served, giving the guests a bit of a break, then our friends speaking during the entree course, another break, then we speak right at the end to open the dance floor. Again, not sure if our coordinator team just didn’t communicate this or because the food was running a bit behind that then it threw off the schedule but Enrique introduced all of our speeches (including our thank you) back to back. We held off on our speech until the end of dinner but in retrospect, having everyone’s speeches back to back was nice (and seemed to give the kitchen more time to figure out whatever issue they had).
c) I will say in general, there was much less mixing than we heard on Enrique's sample mix on the Second Song website. That was a nice thing btw was that you could listen to all of the DJs beforehand. As I mention below, it was still fun and the dance floor was packed all night, but we had just hoped for a bit more mixing of songs.
In terms of the dance floor, it was packed all night, which was great. Not sure if it was because where the speakers were placed made it too loud to sit at the tables thus almost forcing guests to go to the dance floor, or us placing the bar next to the dance floor so that you had to go past it to get a drink, or our photographer doing a group photo to open the dance floor and then another mid-way to keep the energy going, or even us buying glow sticks that got even non-dancers involved, but it was way better than expected. Our friends had a fantastic time. I was sweating, we were laughing. With our “must have” playlist being 4 hours and our dancing barely lasting 2, we weren’t going to hear every single song we wanted but what we got was fun enough and kept the crowd going.
Working with Second Song was easy as they were extremely communicative throughout the process so I would highly recommend the company for your wedding. Despite the snafus above, I'm still giving a 5 because as mentioned, not sure who is really at fault for them and we liked Enrique regardless. -

I was recommended Second Song by one of our other wedding vendors. I reached out and initially spoke with the owner Rob, who was communicative and professional.
We then had our first call w/ DJ Fredy and right away, I knew we were in good hands. From the start, he was professional, incredibly easy to work with & we could tell he totally understood our vibe. He read the crowd perfectly and kept the energy up all night. Our dance floor was way more lit than we ever expected, and so many of our guests commented on how much fun the dance floor was. We truly couldn't have asked for a better DJ for our wedding, highly recommend DJ Fredy! -

We LOVED our experience with Second Song. We booked with them early on because of the outstanding reviews, and we can’t say enough how great they were and how they exceeded our expectations. We booked the package for ceremony and cocktail hour musicians, uplighting, photobooth, and DJ services. Absolutely nothing disappointed!! Special shoutout to our incredible DJ Cale who had the whole crowd going. Not a single song missed the mark! We also blended in Punjabi music, and he did so perfectly! The entire process was smooth from start to finish, and the open communication and fast responses from planning to day of were so appreciated. Cannot recommend enough for your wedding or special event! -

My husband and I absolutely loved working with Jeff as the DJ for our wedding! From the very first call we had, he was so kind and clear, which made us feel like we were in such good hands. Second Song, in general, was so easy to work with. The form they sent us to fill out our song preferences was really useful to prompt us to think through everything. On our wedding day itself, Jeff was an incredibly helpful member of the vendor team and handled the emceeing so beautifully. We had no tech problems--or if there were some, he solved them before they reached our ears! Jeff has the perfect amount of presence as a DJ--he has a great, fun energy but is happy to facilitate the party rather than being at the center of it! The dance floor was completely packed the whole evening, and our friends and family kept telling us, "The DJ crushed it!" We couldn't agree more! We would hire Second Song and Jeff again in a heartbeat. -

Second Song is the perfect vendor -- they are so organized, so communicative and so good at what they do.
From the very beginning, they have a portal set up customized to your big day. They then have you fill out a google doc answering questions related to your wedding, and have you set up a meeting with your DJ to talk through the doc.
This a testament to Rob Corrall, the CEO of Second Song, who is extremely on top of it and built such a strong business. I felt in good hands for wedding weekend because of all the prep and hard work he and his team do in advance of each celebration they work.
We hired Second Song for a string trio for our ceremony, DJ for the evening and photobooth services throughout. The strings were a magical way to walk down the aisle. The trio did immense preparation ahead of time, learning songs we specifically requested for the procession. Our DJ, Jeff Collins, was amazing -- we loved the energy he brought to the evening. Bonus points: He made sure to get everyone's names right. And the photobooth was classic and such a fun memento from the night.
Couldn't have asked for a better team to help make our dream come to life. -

So glad we went with Second Song to DJ our wedding at The Smith Center earlier this year. We chose DJ Joey from Second Song's Vegas roster, and he was great! We loved his energy and he brought the vibe we were looking for.
We considered and spoke with four Vegas-based DJ companies and went with Second Song based on their their great reviews, price, and the conversations we had with Rob, Second Song's owner. Rob was incredibly responsive and answered all of the questions we had prior to signing our contract.
We chatted with DJ Joey a few months prior to the wedding to discuss all the details -- from the day-of timeline to the vibe we were looking for and the songs we wanted played. Second Song's online portal was a great tool to help us think through and plan for all of the day's the music and announcements. Throughout the process, DJ Joey was super accommodating and offered up some great suggestions. He even put up a few uplights to add a little to the reception space.
We can't recommend Second Song and DJ Joey highly enough! -

Second Song and DJ Mark were EXCELLENT. The entire process with portals and the Zoom meeting were incredibly organized and helpful. The communication was fantastic (enough to help us stay on task but not too much that we felt overwhelmed or pressured to respond immediately).
We got married at a large space and science center and Mark did an incredible job making sure sound was set up all across the venue for cocktail hour upstairs, to first dance and speeches which were at one end where dinner was held to the dance floor with the giant rocket.
Mark also created a really personal and perfect customization for our wedding. Cocktail hour he played all space-themed songs which EVERYONE commented about how clever that was, then for dinner we had instrumentals of popular music and then the dance music was perfect and kept people on their feet for HOURS. We so appreciated how well he listened and also used his expertise to make things extra special when we had no asks/ideas.
We also booked lighting and a photo booth through Second Song, both which were great!

DJ RobG and the Second Song trio of a trumpet, alto saxophone, and electric violinest were amazing! We had a music themed wedding since we met in highschool marching band, so choosing musicians and the DJ was one of our top priorities! DJ RobG was incredible starting with the planning phase, since we had an idea of what we wanted, but needed some extra guidance. We had a 10 minute first dances song that was a combo of multiple songs, and djRobG was kind enough to put together his own version that had better mixes. A week before the wedding (unknown to us as the couple), my parents reached out to try to find an accordion and they went the extra mile to help accommodate their request. Their parents speech was a remix of lyrics within favorite songs, and djRobG exceeded their expectations and made an incredible experience. The 3 musicians livened up the dance floor, and was the talk of the night! Second Song also had an easy to navigate portal via Canva, which was extra helpful leading up to the wedding.Couldn't recommend Second Song, djRobG, and Robert Corrall enough! -

OH. MY. GOODNESS. DO. IT!!!! Just do it, book them!! Not only was Rob so responsive and helpful, our DJ (Rob G) was THE BEST! From our planning meeting to all the communication up until the wedding day, he was just the best and got us so incredibly hyped up and excited about our wedding day. The day of the wedding everything fell perfectly into place and Rob G was even so flexible and accommodating. On a whim, we decided we wanted him to announce during the dinner time to have each sides of our families to take a quick group photo on the dance floor one at a time and (although we haven't even gotten professional pictures back yet) I still am so grateful to have gotten those shots with everyone and Rob coordinated it flawlessly as to not interrupt too many people during dinner. Rob G was so organized and completely geared everything towards our taste and preferences, while also completely professionally handling the reins when we knew we wouldn't be able to completely plan out every detail or song for the whole night. ALSO, the biggest talking point of the night from our guests was the fact that we were able to add on a live saxophone player to play alongside the DJ and, man, did he CRUSH the assignment. We originally did not think we would add this on, but oh my goodness, are we glad we did! This elevated the entire atmosphere and he was out on the dance floor looking like he was having just as much fun as the hyped up guests, what a treat! Our guests still planning their weddings kept asking us how we thought of that idea and telling us they needed to look into that for their wedding, so I think this is a truly special feature that Second Song offers. This company and team were just spectacular all-around and made planning our dream wedding from afar seamless, stress-free, and worth every penny! -

Five stars! If music is important to your wedding, you cannot go wrong with Second Song. Second Song's process made organizing everything effortless, as well as helping us think about what we wanted.
DJ Ace totally understood our vibe and absolutely nailed every part of the ceremony.
Special credit to his dinner playlist. It was precisely the kind of "nerdy chamber music" we were looking for. We're holding on to the playlist so we can play it again. Ask for Ace if you can! -

If I could give Jordan (DJ) and the Second Song team 10 stars, I would. I cannot say enough great things. We had our beautiful wedding at the Rosewood Miramar and could not have chosen better partners. My fiancé and I interviewed many DJ's as we needed the perfect DJ partner for an "elegant dance party club vibe." We got very lucky when our Rosewood wedding venue planner put us in touch with Second Song. Jordan and Robert (CEO) were attentive, patient and professional and executed flawlessly. Our wedding started at 4pm and ended at 1am and Jordan's excellent music skills kept us and our guests on the dance floor until the last song. The dance floor was packed all night long which was incredible considering that we had two cultures coming together (hispanic and mid-west). I highly recommend DJ Jordan and Second Song for your next event. You will be in perfect hands! -

We had a first call with the owner of the company that told us a bit of the history and how do they work, then he gave us access to a music organizing page, where there was everything very well organized with all the parts of a party and where we can add playlists. One month before the event, we had a meeting with the assigned DJ and went through that form. We kept modifying music until lat minute. The day of the event, the DJ came and setup all the things, did sound testing and everything went perfect! We had a run of show that we shared with all the vendors and DJ Henry respected and coordinated with the others to the second. All was exactly as we wanted and dreamed about. Very well organized and great experience. -

We just got married in Palm Springs, CA last weekend and can't say enough good things about Second Song. We were connected with them early on in the planning process and so happy that we were. We live in the DC area and were planning the wedding from 3000 miles away had it's challenges, but after our initial Zoom with Rob, we were sold. He made us feel so comfortable and at ease. And the process was simple and easy to coordinate. As we got closer to our wedding, the Second Song DJ reached out to us directly and we had another great Zoom with him. He took the time to learn our musical preferences and what we were looking to create at our reception... and he delivered exactly that. Our ceremony was a solo harpist, that was also coordinated through Second Song and was the perfect sound for our ceremony. Everything worked out so well and we would absolutely recommend Second Song to anyone getting married in California. -

Working with Second Song was great. We were searching for a bilingual DJ as a large chunk of our family spoke Spanish only. We needed a mix of Spanish & English songs for the night as well as announcements in both languages. Second Song understood and partnered us with Adrian.
Adrian was awesome! We were provided with a song planner prior to our meeting where we got to write down our song selection, include links to playlists (if available), and overall talk about our vision for the wedding.
Adrian was prepared and reviewed our song selections and ideas. Adrian even took on a song mash up request that really made the night special. Adrian had a great partnership with our coordinator and really knew the schedule from grand entrance, first dance, speeches, and the bouquet and garter toss. We LOVED the music during dinner and realized he really took into consideration our playlist. When it was time to dance, he kept the energy going. The dance floor was packed until the party ended. Thank you so much Adrian for your professionalism and upbeat energy. -

I cannot thank Rob enough for making our day so special. He was timely, professional, and organized. Rob gave us homework to complete and go over together so that we were on the same page for the timeline and music selection. He is prompt to respond to emails. Rob made sure we stayed on schedule on our wedding day. He is a great MC and DJ. Rob honors the “must play songs.” The light add ons made the venue elegant and changed colors once the party got going. We had a monogram projected on the wall of the hotel that guests were impressed with. We added a photo booth that guests loved. I can’t say enough great things and I highly recommend him! Second Song and specifically DJ Ralph was amazing! We still get so many compliments on the DJing and the sax player. My husband was shocked when the sax came out (it was a surprise) and it is still one of my favorite videos of him seeing the sax player come out. Ralph was exceptional and spent so much time talking us through the flow of the night prior to the big day. He also hit all the songs on our list and made sure I got the Taylor Swift songs I loved in there, he played blank space as we did the bubble exit (still epic!) I appreciate how much time and energy Second song put into our wedding, I am so thankful I hired them and would 100% hire them again! -

Second Song absolutely brought the house down at our wedding and created a vibe that felt like our very own club -- exactly the party we were looking for at our wedding! DJ Andy was amazing to work with the whole time, and worked with us to create the perfect music lists and ambiance. He kept the party going throughout the whole night and you could literally feel the energy humming from the ceremony, to cocktail hour and through the three hours of straight dancing at the reception. Through Second Song, we also booked our mini band with sax, percussion and violin, which took the party to a whole new level and our guests had never seen (or heard) anything like it. All of the performances, as well as the added custom gobo and lighting, really made our wedding perfect and truly the best night ever. Cannot recommend them enough and will absolutely be using them for any of our family events moving forward! Can we do it all again? -

Second Song really hit it out of the park in connecting us with Zooz, our DJ and sound operator for our wedding day. After filling out our general Second Song music planning sheet, we met with Zooz to review some of our music choices, and he did a fantastic job of understanding our vision for the wedding reception, and setting up a groove to go along with it. The questionnaire that Second Song sends is unbelievably thorough and it was a great jump off point for the conversation with Zooz.
Zooz also did a marvelous job of coordinating with our planner to set up the music for our processional, get the microphones and speaker placed, and all of the other details that go along with the process. He also did an excellent job of emceeing and keeping the reception going smoothly. He had an intuitive sense of what to play and when, and multiple guests commented on how much they loved the music!
Second Song also connected us with a great photo booth vendor–the photobooth was a hit and it helped us get some of the most memorable pictures of the evening!

Second Song is was so great to work with! We used them for our photo booth at our wedding which was an absolute hit! Rob was wonderful from start to finish, and our guests loved the photos. Our dj unfortunately had a emergency the week leading up to our wedding and the transition to a new dj was so smooth and helpful, especially for a stressed bride. We had DJ Rob Goodmonson (not the company owner) and he absolutely goes above and beyond and is a hilarious person with the best sense of humor. Rob G really cares and is passionate about his work and making you feel special and goes through specific details so you are totally satisfied and more. He spent so much time chatting with us getting to know us ahead of time, it was so fun.
He offered to help us with extra details like our disco ball setup and played one more song 4x because everyone wanted to keep dancing. Rob has a contagious genuine smile and laugh that spreads the best energy and adds to his professional and lighthearted MCing.
Me and my husband ended up making pretty in depth playlists as a guide, and Rob really did a fabulous job of reading the energy of the crowd and mixing according to the mood.
I always hoped my wedding would be one of those where people come up afterward and say that the DJ was amazing because I love to dance so much...and they did!! yay Rob G!!! So happy we were paired with you!!!

Second Song was exactly what we were hoping for at our wedding in April. Rob was very responsive following our initial inquiry, and DJ Mike was great to plan with and even better as the MC and DJ. He took our broad input for music styles for each segment of the wedding and turned out a playlist that nailed the vibe every step of the way. He was professional, friendly, and got the party going. We hired Second Song for DJ/MC (Ralph) and photo booth (Aaron) services and we couldn't have made a better decision.
Ralph is an incredible DJ and MC. He was on top of every timeline event, kept our guests involved, and was in sync with us (the couple) and our coordinator at every turn. On top of it all, set the tone and vibe perfectly throughout the day, even absorbing a couple of random music requests graciously.
Aaron is the perfect photo booth attendant. He decorated our backdrop with some extra decor from our reception which was a cool touch! All of our guests loved having him, especially for calling out group photo poses and guiding them into the picture perfect moment.
We highly recommend Second Song! Easy booking, flexible pay schedule, punctual communication... what more could you ask for? It was a fantastic experience.
Robert took care of all of our details and was very understanding concerning last minute changes due to COVID-19. We will forever be grateful for that.

Second Song was absolutely amazing!! My fiancee and I decided to move forward with our wedding plans but to do so in a way that was safe, fun, and memorable. We downsized our guest list to mainly immediate family members and then brought in our remaining 100+ guests virtually via Zoom. Second Song professionally coordinated our virtual guests in a way that beyond exceeded our expectations! With multiple camera angles and amazing audio (all of our friends and family were able to hear our vows perfectly), our virtual guests truly felt like they were with us in person on our big day. Everyone had a blast and was so so impressed! Thank you to Ralph, Rob, and Joey from Second Song for being so fun, professional, and accommodating during these times! Nobody knew what life would be like in 2020…and then a pandemic came along. The world, with all it’s craziness, seemed like it couldn’t get any crazier. Everyone would soon be proven wrong, especially me and my (at the time) Fiance. The final straw was broken when we found out our dream destination wedding was officially canceled. We took a pause, then a shot, and shook our fists at 2020 and said
“Enough is enough.” We knew we still wanted to celebrate our special day and bring joy to our friends and our family no matter how much 2020 resisted. We decided to continue on with our wedding day, set for May 5th. We thought to ourselves, “How hard can it be? A little computer and Zoom is all you need!” Boy were we wrong.
I cannot thank Rob, Ralph and the Second-Song team enough for MC’ing and DJ’ing this event, digitally through the powers of the internet. There is literally no way my Fiance and I could have accomplished what these two gentlemen managed to orchestrate and deliver on our special day. Literally managing and playing host to over 100 guests (including broadcasting via Facebook live) Second-Song were able to deliver an amazing and incredibly complex event, which involved muting and unmuting guests at precise times, transitioning over to high-quality songs at key moments, segueing events, and hustling to find and
unmute friends and relatives on Zoom who wished to make a speech spontaneously throughout the day.
Second-Song didn’t make our special day feel like a Zoom meeting or a cheeky little experiment, they made it feel real. No need for an “official” day once all of this is over, my Fiance and I could not have asked for a more perfect experience, forever recorded and cherished, thanks to the amazing talent of this team. Whether for a wedding, birthday party, or even a tragic memorial, don’t let 2020 have it’s way. With Second-Song’s help, the day will shine no matter what.

Rob was wonderful! My husband and I both valued a fun dance party at the wedding as one of the most important parts, and so choosing a DJ was a big deal! We gave Rob a few insights into our taste and then let him roll with it and it turned out great. Many of our guests told us how much they loved Rob. It was a blast! You can throw anything at Rob and he can handle it beautifully. Need an extra mic? Change the first dance song on him last minute? Need a hype guy for your grand entrance? Rob handles everything like a champ! It's so great to have a vendor who can handle anything with professionalism and excellence for such a great price. Plus he's a great guy and a ton of fun! Id definitely recommend him! -

We were introduced to Rob (Second Song) by our wedding planner and we seriously hit the jackpot. Rob went above and beyond to ensure that our wedding music and MC’ing went smoothly. We corresponded via email and met in person to discuss what type of music we wanted, in what order, etc. We also brought up other ideas for our wedding which Rob gave us advice on since he has a lot of experience with weddings. The entire process from start to finish was easy and we felt supported the entire time. Rob knew what our vibe was and he totally nailed it. The music he played prior to the ceremony really set the tone for the ceremony and the music throughout the night was perfect. We can’t thank Rob enough for the best night of our lives - do yourself a favor and go with Second Song (and Rob if you can). Rob CRUSHED IT at our wedding! We had pretty specific requests and he cued every song at exactly the right moment, created the exact vibe we wanted during our dinner reception and kept the dance floor packed until the very end! We requested an EDM dance party and he did not disappoint. Even our older members of the family, whom we have never seen dance, were on the floor! His assistant also helped to pass out lightsticks that we had gotten to take the party up a notch, which was much appreciated. Thank you Rob for a fantastic time - we couldn't have asked for a better DJ! -

Rob was the DJ at our July wedding reception and we could not be happier with everything he provided! From our first email interaction, he was intentional about getting to know us as a couple so he could play the perfect music on our day. Neither my husband nor I really enjoy listening to the top 100 songs one would typically hear on the radio. Rob was so cool about helping us find genres and songs that were more our style (jazz/oldies/classic rock/indie) that still got people dancing. We received so many compliments on the music Rob played during the dancing– we gave him some suggestions of what we'd like to hear and he chose the other songs based on those. The volume of the music was also PERFECT. (If you've ever been to a wedding where the music is so loud you can't hear anything else, you know how important this is!!)
Rob is an AWESOME communicator– he scheduled several phone calls with us before meeting with us in person to make sure we were on the same page with our planning. He gave us tools to help narrow down our music choices and designate specific songs for special moments during our reception. We felt total peace on our day that he would deliver what we asked and keep the event flowing according to our schedule. Sure enough, he arrived on time, set everything up skillfully, and continued to make our reception the most wonderful experience ever! :)

Second Song killed it! Rob played the right music for our crowd and kept everyone glued to the dance floor. He is friendly, professional, and very experienced. We were pretty picky about choosing a DJ because they are so involved in the wedding, but we picked perfectly with Second Song. Our venue was a little unconventional but Rob helped keep the night running smoothly. 5 stars! He even snapped the attached picture of our guests throwing me in the air! -

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Rob Corrall. He was our DJ for our June 9, 2018 wedding in Sierra Madre, and he did a phenomenal job! The ceremony space was perfectly amp'd, the cocktail hour and dinner playlists he put together for us were spot on, and he kept the party going all night long (plus he has a pretty cool accent to boot!). Rob was the perfect choice for our wedding DJ! Not only was he incredibly helpful and responsive in the pre-planning, but he kept our ceremony and reception flowing flawlessly, coordinating the speeches and the dinner service, as well as keeping the dance floor pumping with a great mix of songs we chose and some major crowd favorites.
Our venue was somewhat unique and Rob made sure he coordinated with the staff there to confirm all their hook ups and his were compatible. We had considered hiring a wedding planner to keep the day on schedule, but ultimately decided against it and it was the best decision because Rob was on top of EVERYTHING. Our timeline was especially worrisome because we had a hard out at our venue, but Rob kept the crowd temperature and made sure we got all the staple moments in, with enough time for lots of dancing.
When looking for a wedding DJ, I was particularly worried about finding a hammy, all about himself kind of cheesy jokester, but Rob was none of that. He kept the day about us and our friends and family, all the while being really personable and fun. We also had a lot of random music requests (lots of movie scores, etc) and Rob got them all for us.
There was no downside to going with Rob. We didn't have to worry about a THING on the day, because Rob worked with us weeks in advance, and then took over and knocked it out of the park! Thanks Rob!! -

Rob and his team were INCREDIBLE! We initially gave him just a couple of preferences when it came to music choice, but on the night of our event, he nailed the song choices. It is not always easy to continuously keep up the energy in a room, but Rob had everyone on the dance floor until the very last song. A DJ can totally make or break your event, and Rob totally made it an amazing evening. You MUST book Second Song for your next event because you will definitely not regret it! -

Rob is THE MAN! We loved working with Rob as our DJ at our wedding; he knows exactly what he's doing and completely got the vibe we were going for. To this day, our friends and family tell us how much fun they had dancing the whole night at our wedding, we feel like the night went perfectly and Rob was a huge component of that. Incredible DJ and Entertainment Company!
Second Song was an amazing company to work with! Rob seamlessly handled all of the logistics needed for our wedding, which was HUGE since our wedding was across the country. At our actual wedding, Rob made sure to get everyone excited from the start. He kept the energy up all night - the dance floor was never empty! Our guests still rave about how amazing and fun of a DJ he was! He was GREAT at reading the crowd and played a variety of songs for everyone of all ages to enjoy. If you are planning a wedding, consider Rob as your DJ! I was somewhat indecisive as to what I wanted for a song list, as I just wanted to get married and not worry about little things like the songs. Rob was AWESOME at helping me through the process to have the best songs to make sure my guests would have a great time. He made the planning easy and the day of absolutely perfect!!! ROB IS AMAZING! Plain and simple. From the moment I met Rob, I knew he would be the perfect fit as the DJ for my husband and I’s wedding. I did quite a bit of research on DJ’s as I knew that the music/lighting/photo booth was one of the most important aspects of the wedding night for us. I met with Rob and his personality and kindness showed immediately…. His British accent didn’t hurt either 😊. He was extremely responsive, professional, warm and friendly, and knew immediately the type of music and kind of reception we were looking to have. I would have chosen Rob as our DJ over and over again and I plan on having him DJ any future event we have as well. He kept everyone dancing all night long and so many guests mentioned how great he was, how amazing his accent was and how much fun the party and dancing were! We cannot thank Rob enough for the amazing job that he did in being our wedding DJ and we would recommend him to anyone that lives in the LA area and beyond. There are a lot of “big name” DJs but you will not find the quality, professionalism, kindness and value that Rob and Second Song showed us. -

got married this past summer and, while I let my wife do most of the planning, I was adamant that I CHOOSE the DJ. I am extremely picky about music and even pickier about DJ's. An MC/DJ can really make or break your wedding reception. It's the difference between a total rager that no one will ever forget and a blah blah cookie cutter playlist that everyone always hears and no one dances to. To me, you really need a DJ who can play to the room. Someone who has a good sense of who is at the party and what will get them moving and enjoying themselves. Too many times I've seen DJ's playing to the youngest (with raunchy rap or EDM) or oldest people in the room with tired, cliche wedding anthems to the total neglect of everyone else. Rare is someone who *gets* how to play to everyones tastes at just the right moments. Well, I can proudly and enthusiastically say I knew EXACTLY who I'd be hiring for the job. I met one of the DJ's at my cousin's wedding and he freaking ROCKED the house. Not only with music but with awesome MC'ing. I knew immediately (even though I wasn't engaged yet) that this is who I'd be having at my wedding. Fast forward 3 years, I called Rob, founder of Second Song. And just like I'd hoped, he absolutely killed it. He was totally on top of every detail, coordinated with the band, made it so easy and stress-free for me. And not going to lie, all the compliments I got for having such an awesome dance floor didn't hurt. I cannot recommend Rob and Second Song enough. If you're looking to dance, look no further -

We are a same sex couple and had concerns about finding safe and inclusive vendors that would help us have a great planning experience and wedding. Our first contact was with Rob. He was so pleasant, answered ALL of our many questions to full satisfaction and always had fast and clear communication. We booked a 6 hour - full wedding DJ/MC and were also offered a discount for having a Monday event! Rob hand picked several DJs that he thought would be a good fit for our needs and sent us videos of each one - SO HELPFUL! We connected most with Tetris (IG: @itstetrisbish). We used Google Docs to fill out their Music Planner and we were able to customize even further from there. Tetris is a-maz-ing and we clicked immediately. Super easy to talk to and gave us his undivided attention. During our planning meeting he was very thorough and made sure he understood our vibes, wants and needs for our event going through each item on our Music Planner Google Doc. Tetris went above and beyond by meeting with us a second time right before our wedding to just do a quick recap to make sure he was aware of any updates/changes. We planned music to start and stop at specific times during our ceremony and reception and Tetris didn't miss a beat. He was absolute perfection for the ceremony and reception and was flexible when things didn't go according to plan taking lead from our coordinators. We loved how personable and fun he was with our guests and seemed to have a good time himself (which is what we wanted!). We literally have nothing bad to say and would 100% recommend Second Song and Tetris for any event you're planning. We will absolutely use them again for any other event we plan!
