My husband and I loved having Elaine officiate our wedding! She makes it so easy to craft the ceremony by sending you a document with tons of examples for each part of the ceremony. She also attends the rehearsal! My favorite part was of the ceremony was that she included bits we wrote for our personal love story so that it was more sentimental and tailored to us. Lots of our guests said it made them tear up or cry. She did a wonderful job and we're so thankful we hired her!

Our March 2015 Seattle Elopement remains magical
Elaine Way made it all simple - we remain so grateful. We flew from Eagle River, AK after all the in-person, phone and emails exchanges during our busy work schedules. Elaine made our goal of a small, private ceremony possible and the logistics simple. We found her experienced, a careful listener, articulate, poised, flexible and committed to what we had in mind. Lodging, dining, privacy, photography, venues, licensing and other documents... We suddenly had this long-time friend who knew how to get all these things done. We trusted her right away. One day we expect to revisit the Washington Park Arboretum in March - hoping to catch those cherry blossoms again - and maybe visit Elaine too! Thank you, Elaine!

The very best!
We will forever be so thankful that we came across the Seattle Wedding Officiants website! We knew from the first moment we met Elaine over Skype that she was the perfect fit for our small elopement!
Travelling from the UK to Snoqualmie, Washington we wanted a tiny wedding at a beautiful location. Elaine recommended the Salish, Snoqualmie which confirmed what I had read and had seen online about this amazing location. Elaine made everything so easy to plan from afar! She was so responsive by email and set up a Skype call immediately. She recommended some amazing photographers, putting me in contact with them very early on - this was so helpful! She also sent through lots of sample ceremonies so that we could put together a unique ceremony that fit what we wanted.
On the day Elaine really was amazing and so flexible! I am so happy that she was the person who married us.
I think the best part for us and something we will treasure forever was the spontaneity of having our Wedding ceremony out on the rocks at the Lower Snoqualmie Falls. I can’t remember who suggested it but Elaine was up for the challenge of jumping across rocks out on the river to make this happen for us - thank you Elaine! You made our ceremony so memorable! It was just so perfect!
Do not hesitate to book Elaine! She is super efficient, helpful before, during and after the ceremony and just a really kind, bubbly person! She made our day one to remember and added to our day even more by celebrating with us afterwards! 100% recommend.

Elopement made easy with Elaine!
Elaine made our Seattle elopement wedding work out so smoothly and easily!! Even though we live across the country Elaine made making a wedding at a location we’ve never been easier than ever. We knew nothing about paperwork and how a ceremony works and that was all okay because Elaine took care of everything! She made sure we had the right paperwork at the right time and gave us detail instructions on how to go about getting married out of state. She showed up to the ceremony on time in the pouring rain and made sure we had a beautiful ceremony for us and our guests. She was extremely kind and efficient and even offered suggestions on things to do in the city to make sure we got the most out of our elopement. Thank you so much Elaine! Great Experience
My husband and I planned a small destination wedding in Seattle, and found Elaine online. Elaine was easy to communicate with very flexible (we were in town for a planning trip and her tire blew out on her way to meet with us - she was very accomodating, moving her schedule around to make sure we could still meet in person before we left). Elaine's services included ceremony planning, a rehearsal ceremony, and taking care of the marriage license (a big plus for a destination wedding). Elaine has a nice system for developing the wedding ceremony - she provides multiple sample ceremonies from which you can pick and choose pieces you like. Developing the ceremony did take a good amount of time, but my husband and I chose to adjust the sample ceremonies significantly in order to make sure the final draft was exactly what we wanted. Elaine was also very accomodating of incorporating desired cultural elements (we included the Jewish tradition of the breaking of the glass). Elaine was very professional, and all of our family and friends told us how much they enjoyed the ceremony.

Eloping in the PNW
We contacted Elaine a month away from our trip to the PNW thinking if and a big if we could find someone to marry us and a photographer we would just get married on our trip. Well Elaine said yes and on top of saying yes she found us an amazing photographer that was a husband and wife duo and decently priced. It was a dream come true for us only a month away. Panic set in but they helped us out in such a huge way. We couldn't be more happy on how smooth everything went and how amazing everything was for us that day. It was like meeting someone we knew for quite sometime. I would get remarried every year just to meet up again and have that amazing experience again.

My fiance and I were so happy working with Elaine for our wedding. She made the process very easy and guided us through all the legality of paper work as well as the fun parts of giving input in our ceremony.
Elaine took a personal interest in us as a couple and really listened to our story and our wants and likes making our ceremony so special and personal for us and our family/friends. Great team that created a memorable day.
Elaine was such a great officiant who made me and my husband feel totally at ease during our same-sex ceremony. She and Rick, who works alongside her providing the photography, were flexible with dates. Rick attended despite having an unexpected event around his family, we could not be more grateful.
Elaine gave us ideas to inspire us in creating our own ceremony.
We sent her our version and she delivered it flawlessly on the day.
Both Elaine and Rick arrived early at the venue, a beach near Seattle, so we were able to start before the rain and tide prevented it from going ahead since the weather had changed suddenly.
She also prepared two sheets with our wedding vows which we read to each other, they were printed in beautiful stock so we could keep them as mementos.
Elaine's reading style was peaceful and made me feel emotional, and most importantly connected to my partner during what was certainly the most important day of my life as it gave start to my own family.
Both were gentle and friendly to us, furthermore she provided assistance to Rick, our talented photographer, to take breathtaking shots despite the harsh and unexpected weather.
We received a preview of the photos from Rick, and we were both amazed by the results (as were our friends and families) - Thank you Rick.
Elaine joined us in one of our photos and it turned out to be one of my favorites. I was really glad that she did so as she certainly was instrumental in turning the day into something I will always remember, captured in beautiful pictures.
She went beyond the call of duty by suggesting some angles and shots on a beautiful meadow-like area close to the beach where my partner and I eloped.
Rick did a phenomenal job in capturing the scenery, our emotions, and the nature around us. Both worked under rain and strong winds, thinking quickly to make the most out of the situation.
Both of us would wholeheartedly recommend Elaine and Rick, we feel ever so grateful for their services and believe any couple would love them to be part of their wedding.

It was so amazing to work with Elaine! The first time I called her she spent almost an hour on the phone explaining how she liked to work with us to create our ceremony, asking me about our thoughts for the ceremony so far and making sure I wasn't confused about anything. Elaine is The Best! Dont Hesitate!
We had recently gotten engaged and already had a trip planned to the beautiful Pacific Northwest, we figured this was the ideal opportunity for an elopement and amazing ceremony in the woods! We found Elaine and from the very start she was amazing, super accommodating to our vision; right up until the day before, we really wanted the perfect natural location and were told about this amazing State Park that sounded perfect, we communicated with Elaine about the change of location, she contacted the photographers and 1-2-3 it was done, it was happening in our dream spot (and what a spot it was)! Needless to say it was magical and a memory we will never forget!! She guided and assisted with all the required paperwork, license, etc. Even advised us exactly where to get the license from so we could get it in the mail, didn't have to go to some license office somewhere! Elopement on the River
We are from Oklahoma and wanted an intimate elopement in Seattle. I worried about getting everything taken care of from a distance, but Elaine was so great. She made the entire process easy for us! The wedding photographer Jeannie was amazing and captured our wedding perfectly. They even drove an hour to come to our cabin on the river. I would recommend them both to anyone looking for beautiful photos and a stress free elopement process/wedding. The are both so sweet and really did a great job with everything. I cant say enough good things.

We love Seattle Wedding Officiants!
Elaine with Seattle Wedding Officiants was everything we could have hoped for! We decided about a month before we traveled to Seattle to get married while we were there and had no idea where to begin. Elaine took care of everything
I can't say enough great things about Elaine. I had absolutely zero clue about how weddings worked until speaking with her at our first meeting. She provides a really helpful portfolio informing couples about the wedding process, and you chose what elements you like while omitting the ones that are inconsistent with the mood that you are trying to create. Elaine made it clear on many fronts, that there is no wrong way to do it. This was very comforting to me, as I thought that many of my ideas might be silly.
Elaine is a true professional who will walk you through the process step by step so that you are fully prepared for your special day. Her performance during the ceremony is commanding, professional, and warm all at the same time. We highly recommend Elaine as an excellent choice as wedding officiant.

Elaine was one of our favorite parts of wedding planning. She was knowledgeable, professional, accommodating, and also just nice and comfortable to talk to. We had our wedding at the rose garden at Woodland Park Zoo and Elaine was very familiar with the venue (she has lots of experience at venues all over the Seattle area) and able to direct us and our bridal party during rehearsal and ceremony seamlessly. It was nice not to have to worry or think much about it! Most importantly, she wrote and delivered a beautiful and personal ceremony. We got lots of comments on the ceremony, how touching it was, and what a great job our officiant did! Bottom line, we are so pleased we decided to go with Elaine. She helped make our day really wonderful.

Wow! We are both 69, and we decided to get married with a two-week planning window. Elaine Way met with us right away, gave us her recommendations, and we set out to plan the day. She acted not only as our officiant but as our wedding coordinator, as well. With no rehearsal, she orchestrated the flow of the event and had all of us smiling and laughing instantly. As our photographer stated, the theme of the day was Love and Laughter.
I would not change a thing about the day. We held the ceremony in our living room with close friends and family. It was warm, intimate and so entertaining. Elaine really captured us completely. Her mastery at getting to the heart of us was astounding. She became a part of our community on the spot. Everyone told us how personable and charming she is.
I highly recommend Elaine Way to anyone who would like to have the best wedding ever. Thank you, Elaine, for being our officiant and our friend on such an extraordinary day.

Elaine was the perfect officiants for us! She was genuine, friendly, kind, patient, professional, and affordable. We had a little ceremony at a friend's home with a few of our closest friends. She met with us to get acquainted and go over the options. She provided a large ceremony template guide with many options and different scenarios. She even files for the marriage certificates! She worked with us to refine our ceremony to be exactly what we wanted. The day before the ceremony, she let us reconfirmed the ceremony times and she arrived promptly as planned. Our ceremony couldn't have gone any better. We made our day extra special, treating us like long-time friends. After the ceremony, she walked us through the final marriage license, gave us congratulatory hugs and quietly departed. Her services were perfect! I hope to not need her services again (one marriage should be enough, right?), but I would totally use her services again. And I wholeheartedly recommend her services to anyone I know.

Elaine was amazing! We had someone lined up to perform our ceremony but they were not responding to my messages. I ended up going to meet the person in public and they informed me that they were moving across the country and wouldn't be back less than two months to our wedding date. I searched on Facebook for officiants in my area and Elaine's business was the first to come up. I checked out her website and liked what I saw, so I sent her an email. Elaine responded quickly (especially considering this was right at Labor Day weekend), and agreed to meet up with us to discuss things. My fiance was very impressed with how organized she was and all of the information she was able to give us. She also can take your marriage license application to the court for you and will turn it in after the wedding. This was wonderful, as it saved us both from having to take off work to get this done. What's wonderful about this also is that she only charges you an additional $67, which is the current cost of a marriage license in Washington state. There's no cost for her time to do this for you, which is very sweet. She helps you write your own ceremony so that it's customized to you. It was spectacular! I highly recommend Elaine if you are looking for an officiant.

We contacted Elaine for her availability to officiate a small intimate family wedding that was less than two weeks away. Luckily, Elaine was available for our date and what a pot-of-gold we hit when we found her. Elaine is warm and engaging and we fell in love with her calm soothing voice every time we spoke with her. She has a wealth of information organized for each step of the ceremony, there is literally something for everyone. On top of helping the bride and groom prepare their vows, she has top connections with photographers, bakers, caterers and knows all the great spots (for rent and absolutely free) to exchange vows. We did not meet Elaine face-to-face until she arrived at the ceremony and she calmly walked in and had a handle on how to get it done. Part of the ceremony include a symbolic "Warming of the Rings" -- it was so beautiful. Several people comment later that they had never seen that done before and thought it so personal and connected the guest to the couple in a tangible way. Her awards and accolades are well earned.

My now husband and I were in love with Elaine from our first meeting with her. She not only showed great interest in our input and thoughts of how we wanted our wedding day, but also provided us with so many lovely ideas and helpful guidance. We were able to design the perfect wedding ceremony. She made our day so special and worked seamlessly with our photographer to make our elopement wedding the best wedding we could have imagined. I remember being nervous about how it would be to share our intimate moment with someone we didn't really know, but Elaine has the most beautiful soul that made that deep experience feel comfortable and just so perfect.

Our friend had to back out of performing our ceremony a couple of months before our wedding and so we scrambled to try to find an officiant that was still available. Elaine was able to rearrange a previously scheduled rehearsal in order to make herself available for our Friday wedding. We were extremely lucky to get her on such short notice as she is highly regarded within the industry. She was very responsive, well organized, professional and just a pleasant person. She helped us customize a ceremony the suited us perfectly. We received such great feedback from our attendees. Though we were disappointed that our friend could not attend our wedding, we couldn't be more happy that it resulted in having Elaine being a part of our special day. She's the best!

The experience we had was amazing. We had a lot of issues involving the changing atmosphere of our ceremony. It was small. A few witnesses, us, and the officiary. She was graceful enough to help us through missing witnesses and the marriage license. As well as helping us create our own personal vows and ceremony. I called Elaine about a week out from the date that my husband and I wanted to elope. We'd only been to Seattle once, but knew we wanted to get married on a beach. Elaine went above and beyond to help us a create a ceremony that matched the tone and content we wanted to reflect on our wedding day. Her voice and pacing helped us to relax as a couple when exchanging the most significant vows one can make to each other. She takes the time to understand the couple as individuals AND together, so when the big day comes you are comfortable and know you can trust the person who is the 'host' of your ceremony. I highly recommend her!

Originally we were planning on a really really small ceremony (Think 4 people total), but by the time the actual ceremony week rolled around, we had an extra 7-8 people all but demanding to attend. Elaine help us get everything organized with the extra guests, and kept a cool demeanor through it all and helped everything be very stress free. I would recommend Elaine and her wedding services to all of my friends.

My now husband and I were scheduled to have a courthouse wedding today (February 6, 2017) when snowpocalypse hit Western WA and closed the courthouse for the day! I called Elaine at 8:30am, after quickly perusing the internet for a non-dominational wedding officiant. She responded immediately and was so empathetic to our last minute wedding crisis and was so accommodating to our needs (scheduling around our son's doctor appointment, waiting to confirm a time until we new all of our friends' availabilities, selecting and re-selecting a location due to venue closures). She also stood outside with us, in the snow, for the ceremony, and the paperwork. It was definitely a more stressful day and intended, but Elaine was wonderful and in the end I'm everything turned out splendid! Thank you so much for all your help!

Elaine was very professional yet at the same time very personable and that's what we loved most about her. We were nervous that the date we selected would not be available especially since it was only about a month out, but even though she had other bookings that day she was very accommodating. I love that Elaine was very helpful every step of the way in helping us with our vows, filing our paper work, notarizing our forms, and providing us with plenty of step by step information on getting my name changed as well as many other things. She is definitely experienced and super helpful. We highly recommend her!!!

Elaine was a wealth of knowledge and had so many great reconendations for our Elopement. My wife and I live out of town and Elaine really made the elopement ceremony planning easy and stress free. She came highly recommended from a coworker, and both my husband and I knew instantly upon meeting her that she was exactly who we were looking for to perform our ceremony! From initial meetings where she went over everything in painstaking detail, to the collaboration she believes so strongly in (which made our ceremony so very personal and meaningful), to the moments right before the ceremony began when I needed some peace and quiet, and she brought me into a room to calm me. She took our calls while we were in LA and gave us step by step directions how to obtain our license in a short amount of time. And the day of, she not only provided an amazing reference for a photographer but she was in contact with us until the ceremony. We couldn't do it without her

Elaine was absolutely what we were looking for in every way. We were very short on time, I was across the country, and my fiancé was deployed and on the other side of the world! She was very professional and set us up with an amazing location (Volunteer Park in Seattle) and even sent me pictures since I wasn't able to see it in person. She let us set up our ceremony the way we wanted it, and also set us up with an amazing photographer who gave us the best wedding pictures we could have ever wanted.
Eight months later my husband and I still can't believe how perfect our wedding was when it seemed that it was going to be impossible to obtain with the time restrictions we had and how we were spread out across the country/world!
I could definitely write about how awesome Elaine is forever, but I'll stop myself here :) thank you for our perfect wedding day!

Elaine was very professional and genuine, when we first met her she was down to earth and personable and someone we could easily connect with. At the ceremony she our guests raved about her and we appreciated the fact that she took care of so many of the details. Elaine was amazing. From the moment we met her, the stress of finding an officiant went out the door. She really has everything together - including sample ceremonies in every domination - AND on top of it all, she takes away all the headache of going to the courthouse to get the marriage license. Her rehearsal was quick and easy, and she reads only what you want her to say at the ceremony. I highly recommend her to any couple!

Thank the GODS for this wonderful woman! She is flexible, patient and there when we needed her. Our original guy decided he didn't want to do the ceremony and Elaine came in and saved the day. She really takes the time to get to know the couple, show up, does a great job and then files all the paperwork for you! We could not be more pleased to have her.

The vendor was awesome! Organized, polite and in charge. The wedding day is crazy and hectic and she was able to be trusted to make decisions even on details that were not in her scope of work. This made her ideal for our wedding.
