Taylor and all the staff at Seascape were all so friendly and accommodating! We were the videographers for a wedding here and we loved it! The grounds were well kept and the staff treated us great! Would recommend!

Ah, this staff is the best! They drove us around in a golf cart for our first touch, and made sure everyone was taken care of! My ring bearer broke his shoes seconds before the wedding and they came through with helping us tape them back together haha. They made me so relaxed and the complimentary suite on the wedding night came with comp. breakfast and a bottle of champagne, like perfect!

As soon as my husband and I walked into Seascape we fell in love with it, and it turned out to be the perfect wedding venue. The staff was extremely nice, responsive, and helpful, and we are so glad we chose Seascape to be our venue. It was raining on our wedding day and we were pretty sure we had to move our ceremony indoors, but the Seascape staff patiently waited with us for about 30 min till the rain stopped, and swiftly moved everything outdoor so we could have our ceremony outside on the bluff, like we had originally planned.

We got married on 3-17-18 and I can’t say enough good things about Seascape Beach Resort and especially the wedding team! Rachel, Cassandra and Maya were so great to work with. We toured the venue, fell in love with it and officially booked with 105 days till the wedding. It was a lot to do in a short time but working with the wedding team at Seascape made it easy and enjoyable. They were quick to reply to any questions or concerns, never had problems getting ahold of them and they were so helpful. The venue is so beautiful, great views all around the property, and the beach is beautiful. We had a s’mores bonfire the night before our wedding which was a fun way to kick off the weekend with our families. The weather was crazy our wedding weekend but the girls kept checking in with us the week before and during the whole weekend, we went over all of our backup plans and they made sure we were happy with our rain plans which we needed, thankfully not till after the ceremony! We had a buffet dinner and really enjoyed the food both at our menu tasting and the wedding. They made it easy for us to really enjoy our wedding weekend and we are truly happy with how our wedding weekend at Seascape Beach Resort went! We got married at Seascape in September 2017 and our wedding was perfect! The wedding coordinators were amazing throughout the entire wedding planning process and made our dreams come true on our wedding day.
We were looking for a ceremony site with the ocean as the backdrop, while keeping our guests sand-free and close to an indoor reception. We couldn't have picked a better venue! The coordinators said that September is the best time of the year in Aptos and they were right. The ocean view and the beach were stunning and the weather was perfect on our wedding day. Our guests still talk about the wow factor when the staff opened the curtains in the Seascape Ballroom at sunset. The food was good too.
Pretty early on in the planning process, we realized that the coordinators are very on top of everything. It was a huge stress-reliever to not have to worry about the vendor. Maya was our main coordinator and we were so impressed with her capturing our detailed requests both in person and over email. She is extremely knowledgeable and responsive. On the day prior to our wedding, we handed all of our set up decorations/favors/place cards with detailed instructions to Cassandra, who managed to set up everything exactly as we described. She also took the time to laid my train and veil perfectly just before I walked down the aisle and the pictures were gorgeous. As the other reviewers have pointed out, the golf carts are unfortunately difficult to get hold of. We had two time-sensitive situations that needed golf carts and Rachel swooped in and saved us both times. We can't thank the team enough!

My husband and I are so incredibly thankful to have had Seascape Beach Resort as our wedding venue. We searched high and low in the bay area and Los Angeles, and they really just checked all of the boxes. The venue itself is breathtaking (attached some pictures from our wedding to get a sense of the scenery), but what really helped immensely was the quality of the wedding staff. They have a team of coordinators that help coordinate day-of management, also keeping you in line with all of your pending deadlines. They are very responsive to e-mails and phone calls, which was very reassuring and helpful. The food is great (echoed by our guests!), their organization is bar none, and everything came together better than we could have hoped. I would recommend them in a heartbeat!

The Seascape wedding office was fantastic about helping us plan our petite event. Although it was a smaller affair, we were still able to entertain our guests to a delightful ceremony on the patio bluff and an elegant brunch indoors. The wedding office ladies were very helpful with everything, we were able to relax on the actual day and enjoy ourselves.

It was amazing! The staff was more than amazing and accommodating. Couldn’t ask for anything better they all made our day beyond perfect!

We got married at Seascape a month ago and it was amazing! The actual day ran flawlessly due to the hard work of their coordination team. Maya was our main coordinator and worked tirelessly with us for a year and a half to make sure everything was perfect! The price of the venue may be on the pricier side but you get what you pay for and they were worth every penny! Seascape provides all the tables, chairs, place settings, flatware, the bar/bartenders, the food/wait staff, some decor such as candles, ceremony site, reception site, cocktail hour, and amazing coordination. They made the process so much less stressful than it would have been. I would highly recommend Seascape if you are looking for a vendor!

We had our wedding at Seascape Beach Resort and it was just incredible! I don't even know where to start to describe how amazing they are. They really put in every effort to make everything as perfect as possible and go beyond to make our wedding and stay very memorable! Everyone there is so nice. From the wedding coordinators to waitresses to the people at the front desk, they really make you feel relaxed and happy all the time. The wedding coordinators were always on top of things and made our dream wedding come true. Everything was so beautiful and perfect! Thank you so much for all you have done!!! We will definitely be back to stay at your resort and recommend you to anyone who's looking for a wedding venue! :-D

We hosted a wedding at Seascape this summer, and I really don't think it could have been any better. The ceremony venue is easily the prettiest coastal venue we could find within two hours drive from the south bay, and their pricing is very competitive for a venue with a view to the ocean.

They have a dedicated wedding office, and the staff is lovely to work with. They also coordinate the wedding itself, and did a great job doing so. Being able to feel confident that everything is going to get pulled off without a hitch takes a lot of stress out of a wedding. They have a limited list of vendors they allow, who are vetted and experienced with the venue. While some may find this limiting, it was actually a plus for us, since it saved us time in picking out vendors, and we knew they'd work well together.

The rest of the staff was also great. To illustrate the level of service, we once showed up unannounced in the restaurant with 11 people, and they actually expanded the restaurant into the lobby to fit us. At the time, the restaurant was so full they were low on menus before we even arrived, but it never crossed their mind to ask us to wait. Despite the crowds, the service was fast, too (I guess their kitched is scaled to also handle room service). The food is also excellent, by the way. We've had quite a few meals at the restaurant both before and during the wedding weekend, and literally everything we were ever served was delicious.

With a smaller party (less than 100 people) like we had, Seascape requires that the ceremony and reception happens from 1 PM to 6:30 PM. This admittedly felt a little rushed, but our guests actually liked it. After the reception, we recommend booking a beach fire with a s'mores station. We only did the beach fire the day before the wedding, but in retrospect we could probably have done it both days. We also decided on the fire same-day, and it was all sold out, but being Seascape they somehow made room for us anyway.

We had our wedding & reception in April 2017. As we had a smallish wedding (90) we booked the Rivera Room with the ceremony at the bluff at 1pm. We followed up with the bonfire as our reception was finished at 6:30pm as we had many out of town guests. Many of our guests told us it was the best wedding ever. They especially loved the bonfire.
We loved the location and the facilities. The food was wonderful. We worked with Rachael to book the wedding and Maya in the wedding office. They were both professional and very good at their jobs. All the other staff, bartenders, servers, front desk staff, others in the wedding office, etc. made the day perfect, seamless and problem-free.

PLEASE NOTE: This 5 star is for my wedding and the amazing wedding staff that went out of their way for us. The HOTEL unfortunately was a huge disappointment but everything else was fantastic. The wedding team was on top of EVERYTHING. I didn't have a single thing to worry or stress over the entire day! The food was divine!!

It is a lovely location with incredible ocean views (the Bayview Room was gorgeous.) We had the Mexican buffet for the Rehearsal Luncheon that my husband and I hosted for our son and his fiancee (70 people) and it was fantastic. I had comments from our guests about how amazingly delicious and fresh everything was. Rachel was just outstanding to work with, and was as accommodating and helpful as she could possibly have been. It was just a real pleasure to work with her. I can not think of one thing that could have been better, and would go back in a heartbeat.

We got married in August of 2015 and it was wonderful. Everyone on staff was so helpful and responsive. They were super professional and made sure everything was done just right. We had our rehearsal dinner on the beach, the ceremony on the bluff, and wedding reception in the main ball room. Great food, beautiful venue, and wonderful staff. I would highly recommend Seascape Resort!

We are so happy we did our wedding with Seascape Beach resort. From the pre-wedding planning to the conclusion of our event, we were impressed by the professionalism and comprehensive services provided by the Seascape staff. This was a result of the staff catering to our needs and their amazing communication over email/phone. The event was very well organized and ran very smoothly. The food served and options available for us were well-received by our guests. Seascape made the wedding planning process as stress free as possible and we really appreciate that component of their services. We highly recommend Seascape!

The staff was amazing. From the very beginning to the very end, the staff was very helpful. The venue was gorgeous and the food was really good.

If more than 5 stars were possible, I'd give them..for sure. Krista, Bridgette, and Heather from Seascape Weddings are seriously AMAZING! From the very first tour we had to our wedding aftermath, they made my husband and I feel like we were their only clients! They were always available to answer my questions and if I had to leave a msg or email, someone got back to me that same day. They truly made my wedding planning process effortless, and made our wedding day vision even better than we had imagined!! On the big day, all I had to worry about was....oh yeah, NOTHING!!! These ladies rule! My husband and I are joking about having a wedding "re-do" every few years at the Seascape because our entire wedding weekend experience there was so fantastic! I'm having Krista/Bridgette/Heather withdrawals already!! Our guests keep telling us how beautiful it was and how delish the food was (SOOOO GOOOOD by the way). We had around 50 guests at our wedding and the bay view room was perfect...not to mention the private balcony with that breathtaking view!! We also had a bonfire afterwards. Our closest friends and family, a bonfire under the full moon AND s'mores?!?!?! YES PLEASE!! If you're planning a magical wedding in the Santa Cruz area, look no further. This place is a no brainer. I would highly recommend Seascape to any of my family or friends.. The staff here are very accommodating,courteous and helpful. From the planning stages to until the big day. Their menu selections are very tantalizing with my options to choose from. Bridgette,Heather, Krista and staff handled my request very professionally and on a timely matter. Most of all the location couldn't be more breathtaking for beach weddings and photo taking. Any of the staff previously mentioned can help you create your dream wedding. If appreciate Monterey/Santa Cruz coast. Look into planning your wedding here.

I believed that the "perfect wedding" was impossible but I was wrong. Seascape Resort WAS perfect, everything about the day and also working with the staff at the resort. Communication is key and Bridgette and Heather are both great communicators, keeping us informed, sending materials, remaining flexible, and working with every detail in a timely fashion. From the rehearsal the day before the wedding until we arrived at the venue on the day of the wedding, everything was in place and there were absolutely no glitches. Heather was professional, personal and very calm even during the rehearsal with our somewhat rowdy bridal party. The ceremony was perfect and the view is truly unbeatable; all of our friends and family were blown away by the beauty of the ceremony site overlooking the Monterey Bay. After the ceremony the transition into the cocktail hour was smooth, and guests were so pleased with the appetizers, drinks, etc. I checked out the ballroom before everyone entered and it was just as I had imagined, only better. The buffet dinner was SO good, just as we had ordered, and the service was great. Wait staff were so efficient that they were hardly noticed by our guests. Timing issues were right on, while flexible to accomodate late guests, long speeches, etc. Even after everything was over the Seascape staff were so kind to us, offering to gather all 15 flower arrangements and help us load into a van. I can't thank Seascape enough for a wonderful wedding. It was our second major event at Seascape and they can count on us returning again.

I was utterly impressed with the Seascape Resort. Everything for my wedding was perfect and I owe a lot of it's success to all of the ladies in the wedding office.

The wedding coordinators at Seascape really know what they are doing. Trust them! They have the day planned out to the minute and you will never have to wonder where to go. Everything went so smoothly because of their great team. I got multiple compliments on how my wedding was the least stressful wedding anyone had been to. One thing that was a bit difficult was that we had to go through Seascape's recommended vendors. But, they were flexible and let us use a family friend for the flowers. Their recommended vendors work well with them and know the timelines well, so I think that helped destress the actual day.

Our wedding was everything we hoped it would be and more! So happy we used Seascape Resort and their wonderful, attentive staff. Couldn't have picked a better venue.

The wedding and catering team at Seascape exceeded my expectations! They truly made me feel like the most important bride in the world and helped me make all of my dreams come true. Rachel, Cassandra and Maya are an incredible team!

The best thing about Seascape Resort's wedding coordinator's was their list of vendors (the best of the best) and their professionalism. They worked so graciously and patiently with my crazy family, and at every moment it seemed like they had truly thought of everything. I felt like I had fairy godmothers making my wedding dreams come true with the way the entire wedding weekend nearly seemlessly came together under their care. We were able to call with the oddest questions and requests for the year prior, and Nicole never seemed to mind -- she even came across as enthusiastic to face our challenges with us. The staff was lovely to our guests, and although there were at least 2 other weddings in the same location that weekend, we felt as though we were their VIP guests.

From the first time I stepped foot on site, I fell in love! The location, the view, the staff - just the overall atmosphere were everything we wanted from our wedding venue! We got married at Seascape on September 1st (Labor Day Weekend) and it was a weekend to remember. We booked our wedding about a year in advance and throughout that time, the wedding staff was phenomenal and very easy to work with. Cassandra was our main point of contact and boy did she go above and beyond!

During our detail meeting she went over every small detail and let us know what was included and what wasn't - and never pushed us to upgrade or add anything that were were not comfortable with. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, I emailed Cassandra probably every other day with questions and she answered every single one without hesitation or compliant! She is such a sweetheart and worked so well with all of our vendors and guests! The Friday before our wedding (rehearsal day) she was very organized and communicated great with our wedding planner and officiant. She led our group through a successful rehearsal, even with our crazy groomsmen -and did it with a smile!

Wedding day came and even though I didn't see the wedding staff all that much, I knew they were there and made sure the day was flawless - since everything was perfect! Out guest LOVED the venue, the food, the view and everything went as planned! I highly recommend booking Seascape for your wedding - and if you do, make sure you take sunset photos, as those are our favorite shots from the day! Can't wait to visit Seascape in the future - thank you again! :)

After searching high and low we finally Settled on the Seascape resort. They were very accommodating of our requests and worked with us to plan out our big day. Throughout the day, the coordinator kept us up to speed and made sure things were running smoothly. We were very happy with our choice!

The most beautiful spot! The wedding coordinators in the special events office were so great! Very helpful and always there to answer questions. On the wedding day, they guided everything and everyone along seamlessly without being pushy. I didn't want the day to end!

Beautiful setting. They know what they are doing during a wedding for sure. Some things were a bit pricey but overall a wonderful experience. Made our wedding memorable and great.

The wedding office employees were outstanding! Very organized, considerate and professional.
However, the resort front desk was less accommodating. Their was a major misunderstanding when it came to transport of the bride and groom for pickup.
Rachel and Maya and their crew were amazing and did so much to make everything perfect. Even tried to deal with the resort desk folks.

All in all, it's a beautiful venue. The wedding office was amazingly accommodating. And work extremely hard to organize and plan a smooth wedding day. The resort itself, needs to work harder to communicate and accommodate wedding bookings for guest and cart related issues.

You can't beat the location - on a cliff overlooking the ocean. The venue is breathtaking - the grounds beautiful. They offer wedding planning as part of renting the venue and were very good with the details. There were times when it was hard to get ahold of our planner but there is usually a back-up person to talk with. The food was excellent. We were a little worried that the food might be 'hotel' casual but it was really good. The guests all loved the food. We opted to include the beach bonfire which is very reasonable and everyone had fun. It's a beautiful place and the pictures came out incredibly.

We wanted to review the Wedding Event Team for making our April 26 wedding at the Seascape Resort a day to remember. From the rehearsal the day before, through the day of the wedding, everything was in place and there were absolutely no glitches. All of them were very professional, personal and welcoming to us and all of our guests.

I cannot say enough about all the suggestions they gave us during our planning time! With their help, all of my details came together for a perfect destination wedding. The ceremony itself was meaningful and beautiful and the backdrop view was just breathtaking! All of our friends and family were blown away by the ceremony site overlooking the Monterey Bay. The weather was also perfect for April (68 degrees and sunny!). After the ceremony the transition into the cocktail time was smooth, and guests were so pleased with the appetizers, drinks, etc. You decorated the Bayview room wonderfully and the setting felt very warm and inviting. The buffet dinner was SO good, just as we had ordered, and the service was great. I can't thank Seascape enough for a wonderful wedding. The guests were joyous, the food was delicious, and the energy of the wedding will live in our memories forever!

Seascape was perfect for our intimate 10 person wedding. The views from the bluff with the towering Cypress trees above were the perfect backdrop to our Northern California coastal wedding we hoped for. The condos our out of town families stayed in were updated with ocean front views. The chef designed a delicious local and seasonal menu which was enjoyed by all. The catering team, while juggling getting staffed up and the flood of wedding requests coming in, was able to meet the requests for our ideal wedding program. Thank you Seascape!

We had our wedding in May 2019 at Seascape Beach Resort and everything was perfect! The wedding team helped us with everything we needed. Brittany made sure that every detailed we envisioned would be there on our special day. She also recommended us great vendors that were really easy to work with which made our day even better. The assistance Brittany and Shayne provided the day off was really amazing. We didn’t have to worry or think about anything, we just had a lot of fun and an amazing day. All of our guests had a great time, and everyone loved the food provided by Seascape. I would definitely recommend having the bonfire at the beach after the reception, it was the best part! Thank you so much!

I chose Seascape because of how beautiful the setting is. It was more pricey than I ideally wanted, but I liked that I didn't have to research and chose a caterer (Seascape is the caterer), they provide linens and table settings, and the rest of the vendors were provided on a "required and preferred" vendor list, making my job much easier.

On the day of the wedding, the onsite wedding coordinators were extremely organized and I didn't worry about a thing. They took care of everything and had the whole day planned out perfectly. However, up until that day, they weren't the easiest to deal with. They wouldn't bend to any special requests, it took them months to update my address in their database, and they didn't tell me until two days before the wedding that the floorplan I'd laid out wasn't going to work. So, their professionalism and quality of service on the day of was fantastic. Before that, they really had me worried.

Where do I even begin… This is the most unprofessional and infuriating place I have ever worked with.

July 23rd was my wedding day… Actually, let’s start earlier.

February 2021, it’s been a long pandemic, and we were hoping to be able to get married this year so we start looking for a wedding venue. We had looked at a few and this one was beautiful! We knew at first sight that the bluff is where we wanted to get married… We had a date picked out. July 21st, 2021. It was a weekday so most of our friends wouldn’t have a hard time getting the day off... Plus we liked the 777 vibes. We found out that they don’t do week-day weddings and they only do Fri-Sat-Sun weddings. So we go with July 23rd (That Friday instead) and that’s that. We ask them to hold the day and were expecting to get a formal contract any day now. We wanted to put our deposit down instantly! It was beautiful and they could handle both the reception and ceremony!… We were told that our date was held and we would be getting the contract in a couple of days...

3 months later (yes, the meme)… still nothing. No contract, no communication at all. I have sent out multiple emails and phone calls and nothing. Not a word from our venue contact. We sent out our save the dates shortly after seeing the wedding venue because we were promised our date was held and we were just waiting on the contract to be sent to us, keep in mind, we WANTED to give them money.

We finally get a hold of our venue contact (this should have been the red flag that made us walk away..) and they double booked our venue. They had no guarantee that we would have the bluff saved for us because apparently some corporate event was more important and now we had to figure out a new plan. Either change our wedding date again or go venue hunting again.

Our venue contact was very sure that the corporate event was going to be canceled, and that we should feel safe to continue planning for our date.

1 month later… nothing. They completely ignore us for another month and now we don’t know what to do. We start reaching out to everyone we can at the hotel (we literally called the front desk and had them transfer us to all of the departments to get ourselves heard) to ensure that we can in fact get married on the date that was promised to us back in February. We get told that we can book the island instead and if the bluff becomes available then it will get swapped to the bluff.

1 week later we find out that the bluff is available and we put down our deposit. We book our tasting and sit down with the wedding planner to go over details….

She double books, now she is bouncing back and forth in between us and another couple, and nothing is kept straight. The food was good, but we once again don’t hear from her for weeks. We try asking her questions and nothing happens. Then suddenly we get an email about how she is leaving and we are getting a new planner named -redacted-. Great. Maybe this will clear up some of our problems! NOPE.

Sure, some of the things got better… at first. Our new venue contact was a lot more eager to work with us as we only had 2 months left until our wedding. We were getting anxious and I’m sure she could tell. We were assured that everything would be going smoothly from here on out…. We got broken table layouts (as in it opened.. technically.. but it was random lines and nothing matched up to the “tables”) and our decor company also had a hard time getting our venue contact to coordinate anything with them, and then they changed our “assigned tables” to “assigned seats” without our permission and separated the married couples because they didn’t know who anyone was… Which would have been fixed if they had… communicated.. with us…

We booked a “get ready” (regular hotel) room because that is not something they provide, and a week before the wedding we find out that our check-in time is at the same time as our rehearsal… which is something I wish someone had mentioned months ago when we were planning everything. It ended up not being a huge deal because the traffic surrounding the venue made me an hour late for my own rehearsal. When I did finally arrive we only had about 10 minutes to go over our wedding day and no time to set up and test our live stream. Fortunately, my (now) husband drove separately from me and was able to get testing before I got there... But we didn’t have a solid run-through. Our venue contact also kept misgendering the bridal party even after multiple corrections. We were not having a traditional wedding and I even provided a list of pronouns to all of the hired vendors.

I was so stressed out throughout all of this I couldn’t even enjoy my wedding day. Our "get-ready" room was way overpriced, far away from the venue, and we couldn’t even have the whole wedding party get ready in there because it was not ADA compliant. One of our groomsmen is in a wheelchair and we were on the 2nd story with no elevator. When it came to the wedding day, we had zero setup time for our livestream, my (now) husband had to set it up during our first look pictures even though we specifically asked for an earlier setup time multiple times. Our venue contact was basically non-existent except for lining us up in the worst spot to start the wedding, as all of our guests had to walk past us to get to the venue. She also continued to refer to the bridal party as “ladies” even though she was corrected that half of the bridal party were in fact not ladies. She also left right as the wedding started so we no longer had a venue contact once the wedding began. We even had wedding crashers enter our reception close to the end of the night and there was no one there to tell them to leave. So I had my groomsmen/friends have them leave.

The staff helping us with the reception were AMAZINGLY sweet and helpful. They were great and quick and were lovely people. If I had to write my review about only them I would give them a 4-5 star. I however cannot overlook how much failed during our wedding that could have been easily resolved if we didn’t have to stage-manage our own wedding.

TLDR:
Do not use this venue unless you are a glutton for punishment and want your wedding to have multiple failures that could have been easily fixed if people actually read their email... and you like pretty beachy things.

We planned a very special 30th wedding anniversary & vow renewal and chose Seascape Resort for ourselves and family to stay. We haven't stayed here in a few years, but were very much looking forward to the weekend. Unfortunately, the hotel accommodation did not meet our expectations, and was incredibly disappointing. We made plans months in advance. For the amount this hotel charges for their rooms ($300+ resort fees per night) the following should not occur: actual rooms were tired looking and very dated, bathrooms are very small & cramped with terrible lighting, leaky showers, stuffy room without deck doors open . We also were left only 2 towels, no kleenex and a partial roll of toilet paper- which ran out before the maid service!
For a hotel that charges this amount, the overall service was very poor. The staff was apologetic but nothing was done to change our experience.
One person in our group was arriving for only one night and our event started at 4pm. I had requested a 3pm check-in when we made reservation, as well as twice the week of our event and the day of. They assured me it wouldn't be a problem. However, they did not have a room ready for her until 4:10 pm and she had to get ready in my room. The front desk manager-Jenna was not very pleasant and said that they don't guarantee an early check-in and insisted their records show the room was ready prior to 4. I explained I was actually on hold with the phone with the front desk until after 4 when they finally had the room. Honestly, it was the manner we were treated. They didn't even care, they we had spent a significant amount of money over the weekend at their resort including the Sanderlings restaurant.. Unfortunately, there are not many hotels in this area, but sadly it is doubtful we will return.
Luckily, our event ended up being very nice despite the difficulties with Seascape Resort and their staff.
