We had our beach wedding at the Sea Ranch Resort on 10/31/20. I was very nervous about planning a wedding 5hrs away and making sure everything went as planned but Vivian, Liz, and their staff made me feel confident that everything would go according to plan and it did! Vivian was always easy to reach via phone or email and made the planning process so easy. The staff was very friendly and everyone was so helpful. We wanted a taco bar for our dinner and wanted to do banana pudding instead of a traditional wedding cake. There was no hesitation on either part from the chef and the taco bar exceeded our expectations. For the banana pudding they used a family recipe we gave them and it tasted just like my mom's banana pudding. They even accommodated my food allergies. The food was absolutely amazing and everyone loved it!! My family and friends are still talking about how good the food was. I felt at ease the day of the wedding because I knew I was in good hands and everything was being taken care of. We were given plenty of time to get things set up and decorated and they worked with us around our schedule. I cannot thank everyone enough at the Sea Ranch for making our wedding day so perfect! I would highly recommend the Sea Ranch Resort for your special day!

Absolutely amazing staff. Kourtney was so responsive and on top of things for our wedding and reception. Everything was perfect and they were in our budget. Couldn’t ask for a better place to have our wedding ceremony and reception.

The Perfect Wedding
Our wedding was absolutely perfect. The event coordinator Gwyn was amazing to deal with! I didn't feel much stress through the process because Gwyn was very experienced and would give advice when we asked. She was amazing. She made the whole experience perfect ! The wedding was so beautiful.! (But also, this is a public beach. You may have to designate someone to ask people to relocate.) The event room also gorgeous, and Gwyn set the places up beautifully!! We didn't do much decorating because the room was gorgeous on its own ! Also, the food was top notch! The chef was incredibly kind, came out to introduce himself and congratulate us. What an incredible experience! Highly recommend the Sea Ranch Resort !

Awesome wedding at Sea Ranch
We were most pleased with the Sea Ranch staff. Gwyn was awesome, she made the entire process much less stressful as she was fully engaged and always called us right back when we had a question or change. Sea Ranch is exceptional for a beach wedding because rain or shine (and we almost had rain) you can do everything in one place. What sold us was, if weather is bad you can have the ceremony in the reception room. They are very flexable and everything went off without a hitch. Everyone remarked how beautiful it was and many even told us the food was the best they ever had at a wedding. Definitely warrants 5 stars all the way around.

Best day ever! Sea Ranch Resort Wedding 10/17/2020
From the minute I inquired about the Sea Ranch, Vivian made sure to get me all the information I needed to make the decision to book and im so so glad I did. I live about 6 hours away and everything was done through email and phone calls. Vivian was always so easy to reach, she made the planning process easy and made sure I was able to get the wedding day I'd always dreamed for even with the adventures of COVID. My day flowed perfectly with the Sea Ranch team and Liz also deserves a shout out for making the day perfect and taking all the worries off of me. Liz was also the one who recommended some of my wonderful outside vendors. They all worked so great together to keep me on track. I was able to enjoy the day and didn't have to worry about a thing. The food was amazing and all of my guest loved it! The servers were always readily available to get whatever my guests needed and I needed. I can't thank you all enough. I could write so much more but with that, I would def recommend this beach front for your wedding ceremony and the even room/reception area for your wedding day. It was simply perfect.

Beautiful Beach Wedding
We all had a wonderful time. Loved the condo we rented. The only thing that I didn’t like and made me nervous was the railings along the hotel. We were on the fifth floor which was great. But the railings were flimsy and the railing on the balcony outside the bedroom and living room were flimsy. One good push and someone can fall through it. The wedding was beautiful. Vivian and Liz we’re amazing!

Wonderful OBX Wedding Venue
We held our destination wedding at The Sea Ranch Resort in the Outer Banks, NC. The location was ideal and all of our guests were able to reserve rooms and stay the weekend of the wedding. The resort staff was personable and accommodating every step of the way. From the very first phone call, Vivian worked tirelessly to ensure every detail met my vision and expectation. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect thanks to Vivian and her staff! The buffet for our reception was delicious. Our guests all remarked how much they enjoyed the food. I highly recommend this resort. Vivian and the entire team at The Sea Ranch Resort are the best and will will take very good care of you.

The Perfect Beach Wedding!
We had such an amazing wedding at The Sea Ranch Resort and, even with some inclement weather, we were able to pull off our dream beach wedding with help from Vivian, Krista, and other hotel staff! We cannot thank them enough for making our ceremony and reception so beautiful and perfect. The food was also delicious and we had many guests complimenting how great it was! We are so thankful to have been able to have our dream wedding even during these uncertain and restricting times.

Sea Ranch Resort, was amazing the views the staff, and especially the food. Torey who is the sales manager is so easy to work with. It was so easy to plan a destination wedding here. I got excellent reviews from everyone who came to my wedding. Everything was top notch and it was very affordable. If you want a beach side wedding with excellent food, a awesome atmosphere, beautiful views of the ocean, and within a budget of under 10,000 this is the place.

Our wedding day was absolutely wonderful! All of the staff (especially Torey) helped me plan the majority of the wedding from out of town. I only had one in-person meeting, but that was more than enough. They were professional, helpful, and kind. It made the process much more enjoyable, because weddings can be stressful! The cost was a reasonable price, because of the packages that were offered and the breathtaking scenery. This beach was not crowded like other NC beaches that offer wedding packages. Beautiful ocean front views and great people. I couldn’t have imagined a better day! My husband and I are already planning to come back for an anniversary. Perfection!

The experience was perfect. I am a DIY bride and everything was perfect. I was allowed to set up two days in advance. All of my guest had a blast and were given free breakfast vouchers. THEY ALL LOVED THE MENU AT THE BISTRO shop much nobody went elsewhere. Torey rocked on coordinating with all my vendors. Luckily I have family friend who is a party planner and she came in and completed all of my final touches. One word PERFECT!!

When I found The Sea Ranch Resort I was a bit skeptical because I had never been to the Outer Banks before. However once I visited one time I was sold! It was the most beautiful venue, the most amazing food and they were the most helpful people to work with throughout planning my wedding from 8 hours away! I would definitely recommend them for any wedding or event! We plan to go back every year for our anniversary! And Torey our coordinator was so amazing, she made our wedding day go off without so much as a single problem!! Thank you all!!!

I could go on and on about the Sea Ranch. I had my rehearsal dinner here and drove an hour away from my venue to do so! The food here is amazing and appeals to everyone’s taste and dietary needs! All the food is fresh and cooked exactly as planned. I added a plate at literally the last minute and Torrey just took care of it, no stress at all on my part. Book your next event at the Sea Ranch you will not be disappointed!!

The Sea Ranch was the venue I always dreamt about. Torey was amazing. She was very responsive to any emails or calls and super flexible on the meetings with me. Living almost 2 hours away it was important to have someone like her. The night before the wedding we had a tropical storm and I was very stressed about the condition of the beach but they seriously pulled it off. The staff was very very kind and helpful. Without the Sea Ranch, my special day would not be as special as it was. I highly recommend them. Thank you guys so much.

From start to finish everything was wonderful! I couldn’t have asked for a better venue! I started off with Belinda and she was wonderful. Then some changes where made and Torey pick up! Torey made the transition so smooth, you would have thought I had been working with her the whole time. She was amazing! From our first call to the resort to the completion of our daughter's wedding on the Beach and Reception, we experienced professional and very personal service. We absolutely loved having our wedding here. The communication we had with Belinda throughout the entire planning period was exceptional. Our day turned out magnificent. The location was beautiful and had everything we wanted to provide to our guests. Food was absolutely amazing, still getting compliments on our menu. The food stations were a huge hit for our wedding! The staff couldn't have been any more professional. We truly feel like we have made new friends and plan to visit every year!

Just when i had almost given up on a beach wedding Ms. Belinda and The Sea Ranch Resort made my dream wedding come true!!! Working with Ms. Belinda was amazing. Being almost four hours away she made it super easy for me to handle business. She was truly heaven sent. She was VERY PROFESSIONAL and Flexible to ALL my wedding day needs. The Hotel staff was very accommodating and friendly. I look back at my experience with no regrets.

Our wedding at the sea ranch was everything we wanted and more. We really wanted a beach ceremony and we got half a beach ceremony due to the weather not cooperating but the staff quickly had everyone inside to finish up without a hitch. The reception space was beautiful and clean with plenty of privacy from other hotel guests and perfect for what we we looking for.
We live in NY and booked the wedding without ever really seeing the venue, we chose the sea ranch after reading all the wonderful reviews about their food. There were so many options and they were so flexible with allergies .After we had been in Touch with Belinda, we knew this was definitely the venue for us. She was so sweet, caring, quick to respond to our calls/emails and so easy to talk to. She made the whole experience super exciting and very easy to plan. The whole staff at the Sea Ranch Resort was super helpful and very friendly.
If we did everything over again, we would definitely still pick the Sea Ranch Resort. We recommend it for weddings as well as the hotel and restaurant.

The Sea Ranch Restort Staff was awesome! Everything was prepared on time and neat. They made sure all our needs were met. Also Belinda was a blessing to work with. Even though it was short notice when I came to her for my wedding, she made sure everything was done and prepared for my big day. I don’t know what I would have done without her by my side. Much love to the Sea Ranch Resort and it’s Staff! Keep up the great work.

We were married on the beach in front of the Sea Ranch, and had our reception inside the resort ballroom on 9/16/17. We had an amazing time. Everything went just as planned. Belinda was absolutely fantastic to work with throughout the entire process, and Torey and the rest of the staff were a big help with questions and clarification on our big day. Belinda's communication was spot on, and made me feel comfortable and reassured me when needed about any details.

The Sea Ranch was a great choice for our wedding day. The staff and venue went above and beyond what we would even expected out of the venues. They helped custom make a menu to fit our needs for our reception. It was absolutely perfect. From start to finish it was worth every penny. Would do it here again and would recommend to others. My husband and I could not have been happier with our choice to do it here. Only happy memories of out wedding day at the Sea Ranch. Thank you Belinda and the Sea Ranch staff for being so amazing.

I love Belinda Lucey! She was so helpful. She always responded to emails, and phone calls quickly. She answered every single question. When wedding day came she was right there. She even held my granddaughter for us during the reception. Every single person at the Sea Ranch were so helpful and professional. We could not of asked for a better place to have my sons wedding. Oh and the food was amazing! I cannot recommend them enough.

I was SO pleased to have my wedding at the Sea Ranch Resort ! Everyone was so amazing there! So helpful and friendly! Even with a small rain delay I would not have asked for a better day and night! The food was amazing, everyone raved about it and I don't even eat salmon but I loved it! I could not have done it without Belinda! She was so helpful! I planned this from Connecticut and she made it a lot easier! She is so kind and I will forever go back there and visit her and the rest of the staff ! Perfect spot for a beach wedding and helpful to accommodate our guests ! Thank you Sea Ranch for the best day of my life !!

I absolutely can not say enough good things!!! I was working with a budget and pulled it off no problem! Belinda is the absolute best! She kept me very calm and I was completely confident that everything was going to be perfect! I planned our wedding from 8 hrs away and could not have pulled it off without Belinda! She gave me great recommendations for all the vendors I used and believe it or not I didn't see any of them. I set them up over the phone and paid with my debit, from there Belinda took care of it. While I was off getting ready for my wedding she dealt with my vendors. Everything was as it should be! The food was phenomenal! Seriously, I really can not say enough good things!!! Call Sea Ranch and ask for Belinda.
p.s. The distance from the deck to the ceremony on the beach was Perfect! The ballroom was Perfect!!!

If you are wanting to have a beach wedding without high cost, this is your place. The staff is amazing. I live in Kentucky and had never been to the Outer Banks. I found Sea Ranch online. Belinda was so easy and fun to work with. We communicated through emails. I used their facebook page to look at pictures to help me think of ways to decorate. Everything went very smooth. Food was delicious also. We had a wonderful experience. Thanks Sea Ranch for helping make our wedding dreams come true!

We had such a beautiful beach front ceremony at the Sea Ranch, and then held our reception right inside! Everything was perfect and the staff was so amazingly nice and helpful! If you are looking for an environment where everyone is doing everything they can to ensure you have a phenomenal day, THIS is the place. All the staff is amazing (and I mean all!) and 100% engaged in treating you like family, Belinda being the lead in making sure everything is flawless! And that is just the people you work with, the venue is right on the water and could not be more beautiful and the reception area literally transforms into a exactly what you have pictured. The food, that is just the icing on the cake! We are STILL receiving complements from our guests that they do not remember the last time they were so well fed. We did serving stations so everyone got as much to eat as they wanted and the food and again staff were perfection! We loved it so much we extended our stay and also made the resort our honeymoon!

If you are looking for the total package, look no further. This is the place to go. Belinda Lucey, Maryann, Dylan, Jodie, Cyndi, Joe and the rest of the staff will make your day as special and perfect beyond your imagination. As a local, we had our choice of so many places here, but from the first time we met Belinda at the Wedding Expo in January, 2015, we made a connection and never looked back. It was the best decision we could have made. Our day was spectacular and it was all done with their fantastic customer service, advice, guidance, and knowledge of how a wedding should be. The food was beyond excellent! Their chef is just the best around. The cost was well within our budget to boot. You cannot go wrong with this choice! My wedding is coming up in 3 weeks and I could not be more happy with the staff at the Sea Ranch. They have been so accommodating and helpful. Extremely flexible as well. I have two toddlers and they let me come in there and wedding plan while the kids are there too. Very loving staff. You just feel like you are apart of their family. I have eaten there many times and know the staff pretty well by now and the food and service is just amazing. Any questions I had, I received a thorough response no more than 24 hours later. I cannot wait for the upcoming events. They have lessened my stress completely.

We fell in love with the Sea Ranch Resort from the minute we saw it and no only because it is right on the water but also because of the amazing quality of service we received from their wedding coordinator, Belinda. She has been absolutely amazing through this process. My best friends, Lorna and David, are getting married at the Sea Ranch Resort at the end of June. Lorna and I actually found the Sea Ranch Resort through WeddingWire nearly a year and a half ago when we began planning the wedding. We were so impressed with the reviews and the glowing commendations for the sales manager, Belinda Anderson. Words cannot even begin to describe how amazing Belinda is and how perfect the venue is for Lorna and David. Every single employee from the front desk attendants, to the new Executive Chef Sam Larson, to the waitstaff has been fantastic. Belinda has gone out of her way to steer us in the right direction for the best vendors and that has been so appreciated in light of the fact that this is a destination wedding. Lorna and I have become dear friends with staff of the Sea Ranch Resort and we jokingly ask ourselves what we're going to do after the wedding because we have all enjoyed interacting with each other throughout this process. Lorna and David know their wedding is in excellent hands because they/we have seen the level of personal attention the venue puts into each event. The ballroom is beautiful and well-appointed for either a casual or formal event. The food is amazing! And the location right on the beach is worth a million dollars! We are so looking forward to introducing family and friends to the Outer Banks and this fantastic venue!
UPDATE: My friends' wedding was last weekend and the Sea Ranch lived up to EVERY expectation! Each staff member from the from front desk staff, to the waitstaff, to the bartender, to the on-site janitors (shout out to Ben!) were extremely friendly, warm, and welcoming. It almost felt as my friends had the entire resort for the weekend. Belinda was the most amazing person to work with. You will be in excellent hands if you choose to have your event at the Sea Ranch Resort!

Belinda and the Chefs have been utterly amazing. I contacted Belinda in January, interested in the resort for my wedding. She happened to be coming to DC for a wedding expo and I got to meet her there. Even though she was incredibly busy with guests at her booth, she stepped aside to have a private conversation with me and my fiancé. She was so warm and welcoming that the following weekend we drove down to OBX to see the resort and go to the OBX wedding expo where we met the chefs. The chefs are AMAZING!!! (and so is their food!) They were so fun and light hearted Matt and I fell in love instantly and booked our wedding date at the resort that weekend! (Not to mention, Belinda came into work on a SUNDAY to meet with us so we could go over everything and book our wedding) Matt and I drove down for a second time to do a tasting for our dinner menu and ended up joining the Oyster Roast at the restaurant instead and had a complete blast.
Over the past few months of wedding planning, Belinda and her team have been wonderful not only are they quick to respond, they make you feel like the only people in the room and treat you like royalty. The resort may not be the fanciest or the most up-to-date, but if you want to deal with good wholesome people this is the place. The Chefs have be completely honest with us about our menu choices offering good ideas and being honest about questions regarding some options we were looking at. Belinda has been completely straight up about prices from booking the venue to the food to reserving hotel room and everything in between. She even hooked us up with a huge list of vendors for florists, cakes, photographers, etc...
If you can't tell already, Matt and I absolutely love this place. If there's anything I've learned from planning my wedding its the people who make your day not how much money pay them and I'm so happy we found the Sea Ranch Resort and the people who work there. I feel so lucky to have them helping us plan our big day!

Belinda has made it unbelievably easy for me to plan my wedding in Kill Devil Hills, especially being over 4 hours away. She gave me her personal cell phone number to contact her and was more than warm and welcoming when I went to see the venue for the first time. She even got the band to play Happy Birthday to me since I came to see it on my birthday. Belinda makes everything extremely simple and easy to understand. She makes you feel like you have known her for years! The Sea Ranch resort is beautiful and they make everything so easy for you and your guests. It's perfect for a beach wedding in OBX.

We couldn't have picked a better place to have our wedding! The Sea Ranch was the perfect location to ensure all of our guests were able to easily stay in the same hotel and that all of our wedding activities were contained in one spot.
We held our ceremony on the beach and our reception inside the Sea Ranch's ballroom. Guests raved about the food--especially the raw bar--which Belinda arranged especially for our wedding and to come out so that my family, bridal party and me and my husband could enjoy it before cocktail hour ended.
The bar tenders and wait staff were amazing and made sure everyone at our wedding had a great time. Belinda was always available to help answer any questions and make sure our day was perfect.

ALL of the staff at the Sea Ranch Resort was simply fantastic! Belinda, the director of sales and catering was fabulous to work with! She was responsive and any questions we had were answered so quickly! Most of our planning was done via- email which was fantastic because we were not constantly playing phone tag with Belinda, but at the same time she was extremely easy to get in contact with when we did call her. She walked around our wedding taking pictures and telling everyone how lovely they looked and how happy she was for us. Belinda is one of a kind, she is a truly kind hearted person and loves what she does and isn’t afraid to show it.
The wait staff and bartenders were fabulous we got so many compliments on how nice the staff was at our event, we really lucked out everyone truly wanted our day to be special. Plates were cleared quickly and drinks were always full! Our guests were really a priority.
The resort itself is maintained well, and the event room was perfect for our crowd, our wedding wasn’t too large and the room always seemed full, but not crowded. The location for the ceremony is the BEST on the beach; you walk outside and have sand on your toes! You can’t get any better than The Sea Ranch resort when it comes to desiring a true beach ceremony. Everything about our wedding felt so personable and customized just for us! First of all I want EVERY bride-to-be to know The Sea Ranch Resort is the best place to have your wedding. I live in a different state and I worked with Belinda Anderson for 8 months and she is the best and awesome person to work with, she answered all my questions and gave me some great advise on everything, the staff was always helpful and very friendly. The chef made the best food around, my guest as well as us loved it! Torey and Kris are the best in the world, they did such an awesome job with the timing and coordination of everything the day of and during the whole process, I think all staff members of The Sea Ranch who helped/participated with my wedding enjoyed being there. Shortly after getting engaged last summer, we went on vacation to OBX and decided to get married down there. We checked out all the places large enough to accommodate a 100 person wedding and felt the Sea Ranch was the best fit. Everyone was very pleasant, the inn is a little quaint and quirky but we liked that it had character, you can walk right out onto the beach without dealing with stairs or dunes, the combination venue and catering, and Belinda, the site coordinator, won me over instantly.
All year long Belinda provided me with incredible service and advice. I was pretty nervous about planning it remotely and my parents were more so as they hadn't ever been there. We all went down to OBX in Oct for a planning weekend to meet vendors, show my parents around, and try out the food. Belinda and John, the chef, were so wonderful; I could not have been more appreciative. It made a world of difference. Leading up to the wedding she helped keep me on track with timelines as well as calming me down when I found out OBX was getting smacked by a hurricane the week before our wedding. Everything at the wedding ran flawlessly and without showing any strain. I cannot recommend her highly enough.
The rest of the staff was helpful with getting the room set up, making sure we had access to everything that needed to be prepped well in advance, and did a wonderful job with the timing and coordination of everything the day of and during, and somehow all managed to look like they really enjoyed being there, rather than like they were just working on a Saturday night. We had an amazing time and would recommend this venue with this crew to anyone.

The Sea Ranch provided the perfect venue for our wedding ceremony. The setting is beautiful and the rooms are nice AND affordable for guests. We worked with Belinda Anderson on getting everything planned and she was phenomenal! Belinda was personable, sweet, patient, and helpful with answering questions and helping me plan the perfect day. We had a very small ceremony - about 25 guests - so we used the new Board Room facility for our reception. The Board Room is a small room; however it was decorated beautifully and provided for a very intimate gathering for us to serve appetizers and cake, and have a cocktail hour. The Sea Ranch Resort is the perfect place to have a wedding, in my opinion. Belinda has to be one of the best event coordinators in the field. She was very responsive and always made me feel like I was the only bride who mattered (even though I knew that wasn't the case, especially with another wedding the following day!). The staff was very friendly, I felt like a princess all day long! It almost felt like family because each time I visited prior to the wedding, I met the staff, and then they would remember me each subsequent time we visited and again on the wedding day. And the food at the reception was so good. I loved that at the Sea Ranch, we got a venue, catering, and guest accommodations. That makes planning that much easier! It was the perfect place for our wedding and we are so glad that we chose it. You will not be disappointed!

We had an amazing wedding at the Sea Ranch Resort a couple weeks ago! Belinda was wonderful to work with - she was there to answer any questions I had and was always very attentive to all of the details of our big day. In addition to that, she was such a huge help throughout the entire process!
If you are looking to have a beach wedding, the Sea Ranch Resort is definitely where you want to go! The beach is beautiful and the reception room is spacious and elegant. Our wedding was small so we had lots of room to dance and enjoy being one big family.
What I really loved about the Sea Ranch Resort was that they were a one-stop-shop kind of venue. They catered our wedding and the food was AMAZING!! Seriously.. everyone was raving about the food all night! Everything turned out perfect!

Belinda and the rest of the staff at the Sea Ranch were awesome! So very helpful. Belinda was willing to do whatever she could to make our day as stress-free as possible! You can have your ceremony on the beach and then your reception right there inside. I can't even begin to tell you how good their food is, too! So many of our guests went out of their way to let us know that it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. Plus, if you and/or your guests are from out of town, you can all stay right there at the resort. The oceanfront rooms are beautiful--you walk right out onto the balcony and the ocean is right there! I can't recommend the Sea Ranch enough as a place to have your wedding. Affordable AND beautiful!

Our wedding was better than we could have imagined thanks to the hardworking and dedicated staff at the Sea Ranch.
Belinda, the Director of Sales & Catering, was extremely thorough, knowledgeable, and helpful throughout the entire planning process. Since it was a destination wedding, we had many questions and they were always answered quickly and meticulously. Belinda is easy to work with and is truly happy with what she does. She was very helpful with our rehearsal and offered her expertise wherever needed without stepping on anyone's toes. She went far above and beyond our expectations.
The chef's food was delicious--many of our guests commented that all the dishes were tasty (both for our rehearsal and reception). The Beachside Bistro (resort's restaurant) had different daily food and drink specials that were reasonably priced and always yummy.
The wait staff and bartenders helped make out reception run smoothly and seamlessly. Our guests were well taken care of. Drinks were always full and dirty plates quickly cleared.
The resort itself is clean and the property is neatly maintained. The location is convenient as it is literally right on the beach. Oceanside views are incredible! There is a small fitness center that consists of a couple treadmills, an elliptical, a bike, and some free weights. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly.
While there were some stressful moments during the wedding planning, the great people at the Sea Ranch put our minds at ease. They are incredibly professional, but they also work together and get along like a family. It was a pleasure to get to know them throughout the week leading up to the wedding. They all seemed genuinely excited to be working with us and we look forward to going back soon.

As the wedding photographer and aunt of the bride, my experience with the Sea Ranch Resort was fantastic! Beautiful views, lovely decor in the rooms again with great views of the ocean and the staff was wonderful!
On a personal note, my food allergy concerns were handled graciously and I felt like I was in good hands with the Director of Catering and the Chef. The reception room was spacious and the staff friendly. The entire experience was wonderful!

The Sea Ranch Resort was perfect for our families wedding event!!! Facility rental included tables, chairs, linens and set up! Restaurant on site meaning food was amazing, fresh, perfectly cooked!!! Belinda -- the event coordinator was on point for absolutely everything. I can't think of even one tiny thing that would have been better... Accommodations = A++++++, food =A++++++, entire staff, every single one of them that worked our event bent over backwards to make sure everything was perfect A++++++, facility = A++++++... If you are planning a destination wedding the Sea Ranch Resort is centrally located to everything, ocean front and provides absolutely everything to make planning as easy as possible!! Belinda was there for me every time I called. The food was amazing, all of the guests agreed, there was not one thing that was not delicious. We had Crab dip, chicken salad, and deconstucted BBQ eggrolls. There was also a sweet potato and mashed potato martini bar.

My husband Dan and I just got back from our wedding at the Sea Ranch Resort on 3/23/13. I can't even begin to tell you how happy we were that we chose them to host the best day of our lives! We visited the Sea Ranch for the first time in March 2012 while they were undergoing some Major renovations. We met Belinda Anderson (director of sales/catering)and after spending about an hour with us to show us around and talk to us we completely looked past all the construction (which there was a lot going on haha) and decided to take a chance! That was the best decision we EVER made. I am not a big planner and have not even ever planned a bridal shower, baby shower etc so this whole planning process for very overwhelming in the beginning for me. We live in Northern Virginia so most of the planning was done via e-mail with Belinda and let me tell you she made it a breeze. We went back to visit in the summer of 2012 and were soooo impressed with the new oceanfront rooms and the Beachside bistro - we knew we had made the right decision after eating dinner there one night. Chef John is so great and the prices are super reasonable. We ended up having our rehersal dinner at the Sea ranch also and the entire staff made us feel so at home. If you are thinking of having an Outer Banks wedding the sea Ranch is the place to be - they have everything you could ever need or want - a beautiful ocean view, delicious food, and Staff from housekeeping to management who were just plain amazing! We can not thank them enough for making our day so SPECIAL and STRESS free - it was truly beautiful. Thank you to the Sea Ranch - you are are amazing and we are already planning our next trip to Visit!!! :)

I had originally been in contact with a completely different contact, but even in the beginning stages of planning the wedding, the whole process with the other venue was disorganized. Then I called Belinda at the Sea Ranch Resort and she made such a HUGE impression on me. She was so willing to answer all and every question I had, and she even brought up little details that I didn't even think of. She was so thoughtful to keep in contact with me during the entire process. The whole experience was perfect. Having all of my friends and family stay at the Sea Ranch Resort was such a great experience because everyone had to travel a significant distance and it was wonderful to hang out the few nights before the wedding and just relax. I did not feel stressed out for one single moment, and the Sea Ranch Resort made the experience so perfect. I would recommend the Sea Ranch for a venue to anyone looking for a wedding on the beach in the Outer Banks!!

The Sea Ranch provided great customer service to my husband and I. We had a small wedding (50 guests). They were very accommodating considering they acquired our contract through buying their restaurant. The previous owner did not make a formal contract, but The Sea Ranch made sure that everything we were promised by the previous owner, we received.
The even coordinator, Belinda is attentive and personable. She made sure that everything was perfect for our reception. Our guests loved the bar tender. They still talk about how fabulous she was. The waiting staff was extremely nice and meals were delivered on schedule and tasted wonderful! We had the Ribeye and Fresh Fish and an olive oil pasta side. The appetizers were wonderful!

The Sea Ranch made our wedding perfect. My husband is in the Mariens and we had to reschedule halfway through our planning. The staff was so flexible and really worked with us on bringing everything together. The wedding went exactly like I had hoped. We had some unconventional plans and the staff made helped us make them happen. Everything felt very personalized and custom fit for us. We could not have been happier at all. Every single person I interacted with while we were there seemed to go so far out of their way to be helpful. The rooms, the dining room we used, and (ESPECIALLY) the food went over so well. We are STILL having relatives bring it up nearly everytime we talk to them. Belinda made the planning (which we did from a state away) very easy and seemlessly worked out ideas in. We could not have been happier in any way and can't wait to go back and visit!!!!

They were absolutely amazing! The restaurant was only open for a matter of weeks before the wedding & that made us very nervous. We loved Belinda & Torey in the offices & they would respond to my emails & phone calls within minutes if they were not available when I contacted them. They were patient with all my questions & changes as well as guided me & became a very important part of our special day. Just like a family member or friend. Belinda was very helpfull to me while we were planning and trying to get everything set up. She was very patient, I had a lot of questions. We planned the wedding from Virginia so we didn't get to go and see the room until we got there the week before the wedding. Once we got there we went and met with Belinda and she showed us around and helped figure out how to set up the room and where we should have the ceremony on the beach. The day of the wedding the were very helpfull making sure everything was right in the room and getting us anything that we needed. The ladies that worked the reception was great too. The one in charge was Stephanie she was ontop of everything anything we needed or wanted she made sure we had. The room looked beautiful and the food was delicious. I am glad we choose Sea Ranch Resort for our Wedding Ceremony and the Reception.

The Sea Ranch was an outstanding & perfect site for our daughter's wedding .All of the staff was professional, polite, and friendly. Belinda Anderson was a God send, she and her staff far far far exceeded our expectations. John Romm, the chef, prepared outstanding cuisine, and Lisa, the bartender, was very attentive and oh so friendly. The complete staff from front desk, housekeepers, restaurant personnel, and wedding reception attendants were SUPERIOR. Being a local and attending many local weddings, I have had the opportunity to experience many venues, and the Sea Ranch has RAISED THE BAR for weddings and receptions. It was superior, and I highly recommend this resort for your wedding venue. And by the way, their restaurant is a little hidden secret with excellent food and a fantastic view.

Having a contact in the area where you are having a destination wedding means everything. The wedding on the beach in front of the resort was beautiful, the reception hall so pretty, big enough for a large group and perfect for our small group, the food was so good and the staff was so friendly and helpful!
The bride and groom had an ocean front room, which was used for the bride to get ready. The room was beautiful. I can't wait to come back!

We had our wedding at the Sea Ranch Resort on June 08, 2013. We started planning our event only months in advance, and were able to easily pull everything together with the help of the Sea Ranch's Belinda. We chose this venue because it had a laid-back, friendly and family feel. The staff is exceptional and made every effort to learn everyone of our guests' names and their food and drink preferences over the weekend. The bar is equipped with an excellent bartender, Garret, and relaxing live music...perfect for a relaxing setting by the beach. The food is exceptional, our guests are still complimenting it. The chef was flexible and allowed us to design our own menu and even offered suggestions to support our theme. We had some family drama (as all weddings tend to have), and the staff handled it and the last-minute changes in our ceremony and reception that it created seamlessly, so that we were able to completely enjoy our ceremony and reception. Furthermore, during our reception, the band played significantly longer then planned, and the staff checked in to understand my wishes, and flexed accordingly. We highly recommend this venue to anyone who wants a fun, laid-back wedding with friendly staff and great food. The only complaint we received from our guests is that those renting the condos (which were awesome accommodations themselves) were inconvenienced that there was no maid (linen and trash) service.

We couldn't be happier with our decision to hold our wedding and reception at the Sea Ranch Resort! The food was absolutely amazing (ALL of our guests raved about the food) and the service just as great. The staff catered to us and our bridal party like we were movie stars! We never had to go to the bar to get a drink, and we received everything we requested. Belinda was phenomenal. Her expertise put our minds at ease from day 1. She did everything she could to make sure our day was exactly what we had hoped and dreamed for! She was helpful throughout the time leading up to the wedding and was a huge help in making our day stress free. If we were to get married again, we would choose the Sea Ranch Resort in a heartbeat! We plan on having an anniversary dinner there every year while we are in the area!

My husband and I got married at the Sea Ranch in May. From start to finish it was a pleasant experience. We began planning and meeting with the catering/event manager, Belinda, the August before. We felt she was very genuine when she said she wanted to make our day special. She pays close attention to detail, and is quick to respond to any email or phone call we sent/made. Our reception was wonderful. All of our guests raved about the food, and the service. We were very pleased with our service both at our tables and at the bar. The bartender was awesome. We had about 85 guests, and she kept her bar running efficiently, all the while keeping a smile on her face. We have eaten at the Beachside Bistro before and LOVED the food. We were pleasantly surprised that the food was just as delicious when it was served for a party of 85 people. It was fresh and flavorful, and honestly many of our guests indicated it was the best "reception" food they had ever eaten. One word of caution about the amount of beach front at the Sea Ranch - there is not much of it. If you are having a large wedding, please don't get your heart set on having a chair set up for each person. You may have to resolve yourself to the fact that a few chairs can fit on the beach and some of your guests will have to stand. This is what we had to do. We had 95 chairs ordered, but were only able to put out about 20. Everyone else stood, but honestly it wasn't a big deal at all. It was actually kind of cool because everyone came in close and made it an intimate ceremony. In the end, I was very happy with the way the ceremoy worked out. Overall, the Sea Ranch is a great place to have a wedding. Did I mention it's one of the best places to stay on the beach, too? Their remodeled rooms are nice, and you cannot get any closer to the ocean than the Sea Ranch. In the morning, you can open your patio door, hear the ocean AND watch the sunrise.

With hotel ownership in transition, she guaranteed that she would make our day special and she fulfilled that promise. No frozen, processed food here! If you are looking for a beach ceremony and restaurant reception combination, you really get a bang for your buck at the Sea Ranch. They are in the process of renovating parts of the hotel and the condos for rent are a nice alternative to a whole beach house but larger than a traditional hotel room. We used a condo for our bridal prep room and it was just right with a kitchen and an open porch on the oceanfront that really made it feel like we were on the beach! Overall, it was a lovely experience and I am happy that I chose this venue to have the most important day of my life to date!

We had a beautiful & fun wedding!
Sea Ranch Resort was an amazing venue for our beach wedding. The price was right, and the location is beautiful. I’ve never stayed at a hotel so close to the sand & surf before! Liz & Vivian were absolutely amazing coordinators. We worked through many changes due to covid guidelines, but Vivian was there to answer all my questions for many weeks up to my event. On the day of, Liz coordinated with a level of professionalism that was much appreciated. She really made sure our special day went smoothly and exactly how we had imagined. From setup, monitoring the weather, and even picking up our decor the next day, Liz was absolutely amazing. The food was remarkable and our guests talked about how great the food was for days after our rehearsal dinner and wedding. If you’re considering a beach wedding, Sea Ranch Resort is the best choice for location, affordability, and quality service.

Very easy experience
Torey was very easy to work with, she was very responsive and very helpful with all aspects of the wedding. She helped us with ideas for decorating, our vendors and even helped with set up and take down. My wife and I were very pleased with our experience there and would recommend to anyone to have their special day at the sea ranch

Overall Wonderful Experience
Wedding for 8/22/2020 was booked back in January 2020. Krista, wedding coordinator, was our point of contact. Due to COVID our food tasting and tour were moved from March to July. When we made it in July we met Vivian who was the day of coordinator. Krista and Vivian helped to answer our questions and assured us all would go smoothly even though we were so close to the actual wedding day. Beginning of August we found out Krista was no longer with the company. Vivian took over for Krista and we had several conversations going over wedding details and correcting some mistakes on the menu. We also got some conflicting information. First we were told no wine or alcohol could be brought to the wedding, but must be purchased through the restaurant at the resort. Then we were told we could bring our own wine as long as they served it and it was a $15 fee for every bottle they opened. Also when you book you are told the beach ceremony and room are $2250 combined. What is failed to mention is the additional service fees that added on almost $700. However, I called and was able to have those removed. It is just stressful as a bride to worry about additional added costs two weeks prior to wedding day. Fast forward to day of wedding. Bridesmaids and myself decorate the whole reception room. Vivian arrives at 10am looking very stressed for our 4pm wedding. She then asks if we have lawn chairs because the area on the beach behind the hotel is being taken up by tents and they can't make them move since it was a public beach. I was told they took care of setting up the ceremony site and reserving the spot. Please do not ask me at 1030am if I can get lawn chairs. My family was about to go down and ask people to move because Vivian appeared hesitant to do so. Staff should have been there early that morning to reserve the spot. Thankfully that did work out and we get our spot. Vivian appeared rushed all day, but as the bride I had an excellent wedding. My husband and I were so happy with the ceremony and flow over to reception for guests was amazing. When we arrived from taking pictures we were served with alcohol and a plate of food at our sweetheart table. Vivian and staff were super pleasant with us and the evening ran smoothly from our perspective. It wasn't until afterward that my guests mentioned their displeasure. Apparently Vivian made several rude comments to my guests if they asked questions. One of the guests brought to staff attention there was hardly any toilet paper in the bathroom and she was told that was not their job. Then when asked if they needed anything my one guest had asked for a drink refill and was told next time she could get up and get it herself since she knew where it was. Why ask if you don't want to get it? . My stepmom got intoxicated but nothing crazy happened. However, she stated after the wedding Vivian made rude comments toward her. After the reception and sparkler send off i had to call Vivian to unlock the board room we got ready in so we could retrieve our stuff. My bridesmaids walking out from the front heard me call Vivian and she made the comment that she was so tired of her phone going off and wanted to just be done and go out on the beach. I experienced none of this as the bride, but my guests were not overly happy with the professionalism from Vivian during the reception. It was noted Vivian had did a great job at helping older family members get out of the heat. I know it was stressful picking up a wedding two weeks beforehand from another person. But I am not happy my guests felt the stress of the day. Mh bridesmaids also felt that too much of the decorating was put on us since part of the experience was to have a coordinator and site set up. Also Liz the new wedding coordinator replacing Krista was introduced to us. She was very sweet and followed Vivian around, but can not be counted as help because she did not know any details about our wedding. Again gorgeous views, great location, and amazing food. I think the customer service and planning could use some fine tuning to avoid future issues like this for brides. It is just as important for me as the bride that my family and friends enjoy their time as well. I do not think any of them will return to the resort.

For events, we do not permit outside beverages. And while our facility fees fluctuate depending on several factors such as day of the week, set service charges and mandated taxes will always be applied and are detailed in each contract. We sincerely apologize if there was a misunderstanding during the recent staff transition in relation to the timing of the beach ceremony set up, décor set up, etc. We know how important it is that everyone is on the same page with regard to those details in order that expectations line up.
