Fantastic food

I do not even know where to start... I found scrumptious fare catering and immediately found interest in their services, so I booked a tasting. The tasting was great, and everything we tasted was excellent. It was VERY hard to make a final menu decision because everything we tasted was fabulous. I immediately booked them after the tasting! In addition to the amazing taste of the food, they were SO easy to communicate with. I was lucky enough to work with Kesha throughout the entire process. I'm not kidding when I say this, she was there for me 24/7. COVID really put a damper on the buffet style we were planning for.. BUT again, scrumptious fare catering made everything run smooth and efficiently. The staff was amazing, and so friendly to me and my guest. I 100% recommend their services to anyone who needs a caterer. EVERY wedding guest we had raved about the food. It was honestly the best food I have ever had at a wedding. They say brides don't normally eat at all during the reception but I made it a point to eat every last bit. HIGHYL recommend the brisket.

Excellent Service & Even Better Food

It took us a while to find a caterer for our wedding that met both of our quality expectations (we are from Atlanta & are foodies) and budget. I finally found Scrumptious Fare and what a blessing it was. Not only is their pricing very reasonable, but the food was OUTSTANDING - both at the tasting and at the wedding. The Scrumptious Fare team was polite from the very first interaction we had with them. The tasting process was fun. We had leftovers for a few days and said at every one of those meals that we had to book them. On the day of the wedding, they were on time, everything was set up beautifully, the service was fantastic, and the food was beyond excellent. I still have guests reaching out to me to let me know how much they enjoyed the food! We also got home the next day to find that they had packed us a to-go container and have had the pleasure of eating the food for the last few days - it is still so good. Please just book them - you will thank yourself later (specifically at your wedding when you're enjoying an amazing dinner with your partner, friends, and family).

This is a company you WANT and NEED at your wedding. I still have people raving about the food 2 months after our event. My fiance and I loved the service and the price.

Where do I start?!
Short of including Scrumptious Fare in our end-of-reception thank yous, like they were members of our wedding party and guest list, I'm not sure I could accurately express my appreciation for the way they cared for my husband and me.

From the time I met Sean at the Atlanta Bridal Show in March 2022, I felt like I could make the decision, right then and there, to choose my wedding caterer. Prior to that, we had some very "interesting" experiences with other word of mouth recommended caterers. So, I was one discouraged bride.

I'll stop here and say...These people will turn your frown upside down.
Scheduling the tasting and selecting the tasting menu - easy peasy!
Listen! If you are considering working with this team and you are reading reviews to help make the decision, THIS IS THE ONE! Do yourself a favor! Let Sean Wilkins fill your guests' bellies. Let Mike, Kesha and Tesia help you get your menu exactly like you want it. Let Durand run your reception food service like a well oiled delectably delicious machine. You WILL be sorry if you don't.

You need to have a reception where you don't even notice the wait staff, because they're so thorough. That's Scrumptious Fare!
You need to have a caterer that will have your guests asking (a week later), "Who was your caterer?" That's Scrumptious Fare!
You need a caterer who will package a FULL MEAL for you and your husband/wife to take with you that is so good you'll be side-eyeing each other for opening it without notifying you first. That's Scrumptious Fare!

When we sat down to the table at the tasting, we both felt at home! We were greeted with smiles and understanding. We actually weren't 100% satisfied with one of the items we chose and it was like Kesha and Durand sensed it immediately! Their first words were, "What can we do better?" It was a sincere offer. Our wishes were perfectly translated on the plate and into the bellies of our family and friends.

Thank you for everything! It was perfect!

Wonderful Wedding Reception experience

The catering company was perfect for my wedding day. They arrived on time, and set everything up as discussed. The food was delicious, The waiters were courteous, polite and professional. The manager brought our plates to us although we had a buffet. Everything was absolutely perfect. I definitely recommend this company

Fantastic Catering Company!

First meeting with SFC, I was delighted to see how professional our taste testing was. They had our options prepared for us and allowed us to taste our choices alone. The food was absolutely delicious. They worked with me on last minute changes and quickly responded to my emails. On our wedding day, the staff was incredibly polite, professional and very diligent. The food was INCREDIBLE!! The first bite into my food, I was immediately doing my happy food dance. I would strongly recommend them for any of your catering needs, especially weddings. Scrumptious Fare Catering was AMAZING! My Husband and I knew they were the one from the moment we did the food tasting. They were very professional and the food was delicious. They came in and set everything up with no problems and were very friendly. I would recommend them to everyone. They also made us a plate to take home to enjoy later that night! I was worried about the food getting cold since they were traveling from Atlanta area to Commerce but it did not! everyone was so impressed and they also served our cake which was so nice and organized. 10/10 for sure!!

I definitely recommend this catering company for any events! Sean and his entire team is so helpful and welcoming. Our event was set up buffet and they arrived on time and set up everything for us. We didn’t have to worry about anything. The food was enjoyed by everyone!

Great food!

These guys were AMAZING! I couldn't have asked for a better caterer for my wedding, and they were the best at responding to any changes we had! They even tweaked the recipe a little bit when my husband didn't like 1 thing on their potato salad. They were super customized and so very sweet to work with. If I ever have an event in the future to cater again, I can guarantee I will use them!

Wonderful food and service! I highly recommend these guys for the selection, taste and value. The servings are plenty large enough, so we had tons leftover. Everyone loved the grad party spread. Thank you!

Scrumptious Fare Catering was great! Very easy to work with and had a great menu selection to be able to get what I wanted for my wedding. Sean was very helpful through the whole process. He answered very promptly any questions that I had throughout my planning. I got the BBQ pulled chicken and pork, mac & cheese, green beans, salad, and bread. The food was delicious! One of my guests said it was the best BBQ he had ever tasted! The servers were wonderful as well. Overall extremely happy with the food and service I received from Scrumptious Fare Catering. I would definitely recommend them!!

Scrumptious Fare did an amazing job while catering our employee holiday event. The prices were reasonable, they were on time , very professional and the food was DELICIOUS with more than enough for second and third servings. The Corporate team members, our partner agencies and the team members are still talking about it. I think we have found our caterer for all of our upcoming events! I highly recommend Scrumptious Fare for any event that requires great pricing, timely service, professional and courteous staff and great food.

Honestly, I found working with Scrumptious Fare Catering wonderful! They answered all my questions, the staff was very helpful, everyone commented on how good all the food was, the price was very fair, and everything went great the day of. Oh and I also loved how animated and kind all the staff and bartenders were the day of, too. I would and will definitely recommend them to anyone!

I was initially worried by the very attractive pricing. I shouldn't have worried. The food was delicious, the crew was spot-on. The appetizers were great, especially the meatballs. My only disappointment is that my horrible wedding guests ate all the meatballs, so I didn't have any to take home. Sean and Mike were easy to work with and were very flexible with changes in timing and count. I'm a believer.

We have used Scrumptious Fare Catering for several of our events now and have always been pleased. They have always responded quickly to my inquiries and requests and showed up promptly. Sean and his team were incredible to work with. They arrived early to begin setting up. His team of servers were so friendly, professional and helpful throughout the day. They stayed after the wedding to help with cleanup, too. The food was delicious!!! We got a lot of compliments from guests on the food. Overall I'm very glad we used them as our caterers.

We received so many compliments on the delicous food at our reception! Scrumptious Fare Catering not only provided a wonderful variety of choices, but also did so at an affordable value. The staff was helpful in guiding us and providing feedback during the planning process and deleivered a quality product and presentation on the evening of our big day. They were there every step of the process to help us make our event a complete success!!!
I would give my highest recomendation to Scrumptious Fare Catering and would use their service for any event I may have in the future.

I have used Scrumptious for 3 years now for my events and they have never disappointed. Each time the service is spot on and the food is absolutely delicious. Sean has taken a few liberties to recommend a menu and each time it has been spot on. I will certainly use SFC for my next event!

I booked Scrumptious Fare for our Holiday Staff Luncheon, the food was good, the guy who delivered was on time. He quickly set everything up for me and was out the door. Great customer service beginning to end, Sean was amazing he was able to provide a meal within our budget. I'm an event planner and I always advise my customers to do their research and look for vendors with recent reviews and more than one review. Through my research I found Scrumptious Fare Catring and boy am I glad I did!!! Sean w/Scrumptious Fare Catering was awesome! His professionalism, the quality of his food, and the value was out of this world!! He is very communicative and will work with you on your needs. I would use Scrumptious Fare Catering for private and professional events. This company is going on my recommended caters lists for sure!!

I used Scrumptious for my daughters Sweet 16 Birthday Party and they delivered above and beyond exceptional customer service. Great price and lots of food. The macaroni and cheese and baked chicken was my favorite! Although, all the food was great.

Sean was extremely professional and timely! He responded to all of my emails within 24 hours and worked with me to capture the best menu items for my "brunch" theme! There was more than enough food .. (Literally). The items my guests kept talking about were the beef brisket, the orange zest french toast and the mac n cheese! There was one thing that could have severely hurt my event. The delivery crew forgot to bring the chafing dishes and accidentally left them at the kitchen. I didn't have enough time for them to go back and get them from their kitchen, but LUCKILY I had a set I bought from my previous catering experience on hand. We used those with no problems. I would recommend using Sean and his team again and I will certainly use them in the future. Based on my pictures a couple colleagues had ideas of doing something similar for their graduation parties. GO SCRUMPTIOUS CATERING!!

Sean and his team did an excellent job. The entire team was very responsive to all our needs. The food was delicious and if your menu selections pair well with mac & cheese, I'd highly recommend it (or should I call it cheese & mac)! I will definitely use Scrumptious Fare again.

We met with Sean prior to the wedding for a tasting, highly recommend. Sean was very accommodating, offering suggestions and being very helpful with meeting our needs. Of course, the macaroni cheese bites were, by far, the biggest hit!! I highly recommend Scrumptious Fare Catering for any private or business event. They were awesome!

We were very pleased with Sean and Rick's help and input for our daughter's wedding reception. They were accommodating to our needs and budget and treated us with professionalism! We have never before had need of the services of a caterer, but circumstances surrounding the date for our daughter's wedding caused us to have to find help with the reception meal. We were "in the dark" as far as knowing what to look for, but were completely satisfied with our final selection of Scrumptious Fare! The food was truly, as stated in their title, "scrumptious" and there was more than sufficient amounts of everything being served for our guests to enjoy generous portions... with some even left over! The presentation of the meal was also impressive and professional. I would absolutely recommend this catering service to others.

As the parents of the bride living in another state, Sean was extremely helpful in ensuring that the wedding reception was exactly what my daughter wanted from the initial tasting to the final reception. His staff was friendly and professional. Our guests raved over the hors d'oeuvres and dinner. He communicated with me, my daughter and wedding planner in a timely manner. Ownership was very prompt with quotes. The food was delivered promptly each day and was warm. quantities were ample. There was one issue one day with being late, but was caused by unforeseen traffic

I sought out Scrumptious Fare Catering to provide food for a corporate holiday party. I made my initial call and spoke to a gentleman named Sean. I asked Sean a ton of questions and he was very patient with me and answered all of my questions and concerns.

With our event date approaching quickly, I found out a few of my co-workers were vegetarians and I needed to make a few changes regarding our menu choices. Without any issues, Sean was able to accommodate my request.

On the day of the event, the catering staff arrived early and each had a very clean and professional appearance. All evening I received compliments about the food and service.

Sean and his staff were amazing, from his first email to the clean up after the event. He worked with my budget, was flexible and incredibly professional. Scrumptious Catering provided an excellent, well-appointed variety of entrees for a commercial production shoot I produced in May 2014. The menu selections were hearty, healthy, and delicious. The servings were over and beyond what we expected and the service was impeccable. Highly recommend.

Sean was a delight to work with, very flexible with menu changes and requests. Our wedding guests complimented the food, and there was plenty of it. Only rated 4/5 stars for service due to the servers themselves that worked the wedding; they were not very friendly overall, but did their job.

We used Scrumptious Fare to cater my wedding. They were very flexible in meeting with us to do a tasting. We requested a Mac and Cheese bar which is out of their norm and they were more than willing to work with us on creating one. I must say it was one of the most popular things at the wedding. I received many complements on it.

On the day of the wedding, the person that was in charge could not have been more helpful. They were prompt and set up quickly. It was like you did not know they were there. They also cut the cake making it much easier on us. Their price is definitely reasonable and I would recommend them to anyone.

We have used Scrumptious Fare for our office Christmas party for the past two years. They were very accommodating and easy to work with, and were happy to add an item to our menu that wasn't listed on their online menu. They are definitely very generous with their serving sizes. We had about 28 at our party and ordered several dishes that would serve 30"--there was definitely enough food plus a whole lot of leftovers. As for service/set up, my only complaint might be that they did not light the chafing lights themselves. Seems like an "easier said than done" kind of thing, but when we went to light ours (2 set up per pan/dish), there was WAY to much heating going on and we ended up removing one of the two heating devices per dish. As for the food, every thing was great. The only exception might be the "hand breaded chicken bites", which were definitely overcooked.

But overall, if you're looking for an affordable caterer for a Holiday party, I'd recommend these guys!

Our office Holiday Open House AND Employee Dinner were a great success due to Scrumptious Fare Catering! Our company moved to a new building 2 months before the holidays and in late November, my boss decided an Open House would be a great idea! Thankfully, we picked one of the two open dates Sean had available. To add to our request, we decided to have two separate events on the same day: the Open House from 3:00 to 5:00 pm and then an employee and guest appreciation dinner from 6:30 to 9:00 pm. Each delivery was on time and set up was easy! For the Open House, the two gentlemen set up 3 separate food stations, hot and cold, plus drinks arranging our tables. The guest flow was excellent and we had many comments on the excellent food from the 75 attendees. For the Employee Dinner, the same two gentlemen returned with our complete dinner. They suggested setting up the hot buffet in a different space to allow room for our round dinner tables. Again, the food was excellent, as was the service. Our 40 guests and employees appreciated the delicious dinner and the left overs! We will definitely use Scrumptious Fare again soon!

Value, with a few exceptions

Our initial meeting with Sean went great. The food tasted terrific and for the price, we knew we were getting a steal. Compared to many other vendors out there, Scrumptious Fare is one of the most reasonably priced caterers you can get in the city.

There are a few extra things to consider here though. Fast forward a few months closer to the wedding, and a few things we were told we were able to do were no longer okay. Our planner informed us that she had been in contact with the team and they would no longer serve any food that wasn't theirs.

Also, they initially agreed to clean up after the reception was over, and later denied it when our planner asked about it. She had to show the contract to them to remind them of their obligation.

That wasn't such a big deal, so we moved on. The dinner portion of our reception went well enough, but they have to be more careful with what contractors they hire. Apparently one bartender did not show up at all so one of the servers had to serve drinks, leaving them a bit short-staffed.

The bartenders were the main source of problems - it seemed one had been drinking and some of our guests said that they had been hit on.

They also only served our special wedding cocktail for an hour into the night; for the rest, the bartenders chose not to. This left us with lots of bottles of juice and ingredients that we didn't need.

The food did not taste how we remembered at the tasting either. That was a little disheartening to notice.

With all that said, the service wasn't bad, just not as good as we initially believed it would be. If you are looking for value, you could be in for a treat here; just make sure that you communicate expectations up front and check in with what contractors are being provided.

Need to be more specific about eating times. There was confusion which lead to lunch being a half hour late on the second day. Also, there wasn't enough utensils and only coke and diet coke. I would suggest bringing more than enough paper good and a larger variety of soda.

Very disappointed!!

I am so disappointed in how SFCatering solved the problem. I ordered chinaware, silverware and wine glasses for 70 people. In the contract said they need a SUITABLE KITCHEN FACILITIES to wash and restock chinaware otherwise they will cancel the chinaware. I thought they only needed a big enough sink to wash the chinaware which was available the venue, but when they came they said the sink doesn’t meet the standard requirement which comes with some sort of code. And they didn’t provide both chinaware and wine glasses and substitute with small clear plastic plates and plastic utensils. WHAT A HORRIBLE WEDDING EVER!! I was so mad because of this incident but I tried to calm me down and I was hoping that they would have refunded me for the service that I couldn’t use. End of the event, I still gave the staff a little tip to respect their hard working even I already paid quite a lot for 4 servers, even they didn’t have to wash and restock the chinaware. However, after negotiation SFCatering refused to refund and said I didn’t read the contract carefully and I didn’t clarify with them. I understood they can cancel the service but they didn’t mention “NO REFUND”. When my husband called them, they said they needed a DOUBLE SINK, I was like: why didn’t you just say DOUBLE SINK in the contract ??!? As a result of this, I wish I could have clarified with them every single word in the contract, especially the term “SUITABLE KITCHEN FACILITIES”. I didn’t ask them what that means since anyone can wash dishes in a SINK, OBVIOUSLY!! And the server even used that sink to wash off their stuff.
IT WAS NOT FAIF IF I HAD TO PAY FOR THE SERVICE THAT I COULDN’T USE!!!
What do you think if your guest had to use cheap PLASTIC plates, cups and utensils in your wedding even though you paid near $800 for it?
There were some minor incidents that I’ve experienced while working with SFCatering:
- Somehow they increased the cost of beverages, after I realized they said the owner will honor the original price since I deposited and signed the contract last year. What happened if I didn’t realize the difference? Because we emailed back and forth many time and revised the invoice couple times, I had to look at all the items over and over each revision.
- I asked if table cloths for buffet tables provided, they charged me total 10 pieces but I refused the service and prepared it by myself. They ended up use 4 table cloths only. Imaginably, if I ordered table cloths from them, there would be 6 pieces not using with NO REFUND. Instead, I could return the rest to Amazon
- Adding the extra miles on delivery ($277 & at the last minute before I made the final payment )which wasn’t in the invoice when I made deposit back in 2019. I was upset but I agreed with it without any complaints bc it was reasonable & it was in the quote, they forgot to add it in the invoice, so I totally understood for their mistake.
- I am from CA and I never tasted the food before signing the contract so I totally trusted the good reviews on Wedding Wire and Google. However, the food wasn’t that great like I expected, maybe I am a picky eater. Like, green beans and brussel sprouts weren’t green anymore and over-cooked, maybe because of the long drive - around 2 hours trip. After the wedding we had a lot leftovers, especially salmon, chicken, cobbler but not even a piece of beef brisket or pork tender loin left, so I wasn’t sure if the beef brisket and pork loin were SO GOOD or SO LITTLE that nothing left (guest count for dinner and carving were the same). Honestly, the brisket was the BOMB, everyone liked it, but the pork loin was a little dry.
Admittedly, the owner and the staff were really patient and supportive while working with me, I really appreciate your all help; but I need to share with everyone my experience and I just don’t want anyone else fall into this situation like me.
