We got married at Scribner Bend in May 2025 and it was a dream from start to finish!
Scribner Bend was the only venue we visited during our wedding planning process because we felt so pleased with the beauty, charm, pricing, and process they offered. We were especially pleased by how much was included in the venue package that we didn’t have to coordinate separately, like lighting, tables, and chairs. Shaye was an absolute delight to work with and we always felt cared for. As a queer couple, it was so nice to feel welcomed and accepted by Scribner Bend and all of their preferred vendors we spoke with. May was the perfect time to be there, the white roses on the arches were in bloom which complemented the rest of our florals beautifully. Our whole day flowed so smoothly thanks to Deija, our day-of planner provided by Scribner Bend, and all of the rest of the staff. All of our guests were so complimentary of the wine, the setting, and the flow of the evening. We really could not have wished for a better venue experience.
We also want to note, Paesanos was an exceptional caterer! I know some might be concerned with not having a choice of caterer but we found it to be a relief (one less vendor to coordinate) and Paesanos did a fantastic job. Rain was amazing at communication, and Diana was wonderful to work with on the day. They even packed up a couple of containers of leftovers for us to go home with.

We are so happy with choosing Scribner for our wedding! It was the perfect venue for our wedding day! The entire staff was amazing from Jessica ensuring I had everything I needed planning for the wedding to the day of staff checking in if we needed anything to the reception making sure we were okay! I 10000 percent recommend this venue for your wedding! What you pay for with what is included is completely worth it! I did not have to worry about anything the day of the wedding! Jessica is the best wedding coordinator and is a built in wedding planner for you! Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and we truly were so happy with everything! -

We got married at Scribner Bend on 6/10/2023, and wow, where do I start?
The planning process was remarkable easy. Jessica got back to us as soon as we first reached out, and within a few days we toured the grounds with Laura, who was sweet and professional and made us feel welcome and comfortable. The pricing and payment timeline were totally transparent, and the rest of the planning process was laid out in an organized manner for us.
Jessica, Laura, and Sarah gave us outstanding service in the months leading up to our big day. Jessica guided us through the whole process, from picking vendors to creating ceremony diagrams, and answered all of the questions that we had. We had a few last-minute changes (swapping chairs for high chairs, rearranging chairs at tables, adding handicapped parking spots, etc) and every change got implemented perfectly.
Jessica also coordinated with all of the vendors on the day of the wedding, so my husband and I were entirely free to spend time with our friends and family. Our wedding day was super relaxed and smooth, since Jessica and the SBV staff had taken care of so much beforehand, and took care of everything else on the day of (to include setting up and breaking down the tables with decorations/table numbers, arranging the right number of handicapped parking spots, accepting flower and cake deliveries, coordinating with out DJ/MC for the sound setup, prepping the bridal bungalow and groomsmen airstream trailer, being welcoming to and readily available for our guests, moving florals from the arch to the reception after the ceremony, etc etc). My bridesmaids and our hair and makeup artists all said that it was the most chill wedding they had ever been a part of, and that's because the staff at SBV did so much behind the scenes for us.
The venue itself is jaw-dropping gorgeous. I'm from the east coast, so I love the "lush greens" look, and SBV accomplished that so well, with the rose-covered arches, tall walnut tree, and rows and rows of vines. The whole venue is covered in greenery and smells so lovely because of all of the roses and honeysuckle and jasmine. I love that the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception are all in different areas, so the guests get to see different scenery as the night goes on. My husband and I really wanted an outdoor wedding, and while the reception is within a tent (for protection from the elements), you are surrounded by greenery the entire night. While the weather on our day was unseasonably beautiful, there's also tons of shade for sunny/hot days. We got away with minimal florals and uplighting, since the venue is already so well lit and beautiful. Finally, because of the location, SBV felt incredibly peaceful and private. There was no chance of disruptions from the outside world. We felt like we were in a little pocket of heaven all night, and in the following few days I lost count of how many people said that it was "the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to".
We purchased the package for unlimited wine and beer for our celebration. The wine was delicious and well received. We weren't thrilled about one of the beer options (we were provided with Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, Coors Light, and Rolling Rock), but we were able to bring a beer of our choice to swap out for one of them. The venue cannot serve hard liquor, but all other beverages are fair game, and our beverages were served exactly as expected. There was never a line at the bar, and our guests drank as much as they wanted. We also opted for the sparkling almond wine toast, which was delicious and well loved.
I posted a separate review for Paesanos. Briefly, we received exceptional service and phenomenal food from Rain and the rest of the Paesanos staff. We were blown away by how delicious the food was, and how professional the service was. Check out my other review for more details.
Everything considered, we are so, so thankful that Jessica and the other staff at SBV took such great care of us in the months leading up to our wedding day, and our family and friends on the day itself. Our day was absolutely perfect. I cannot recommend this venue highly enough. -

Wedding 6/3/22
My husband and I had our wedding last month at Scribner Bend. It was the perfect day, and we loved everything about having our wedding there. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, and the staff is amazing and made our day run perfectly. We planned our Sacramento wedding from where we currently live in New York City, and Jessica (the venue's wedding coordinator), was amazing from the beginning. She was very fast to respond to any questions I e mailed her throughout the planning process, which put me at ease while planning it from so far away. Sarah was our day of coordinator and she was also great. We had a lot of guests compliment how beautiful everything was, and a few told us it was the best wedding they'd ever been to, which made us happy. It was truly our dream wedding, and we're so happy we had it there. -

We Loved SBV!
12/10! My husband and I got married at Scribner Bend in September 2021 and I could not say more positive things about the venue and the SBV team. Jess is the wedding coordinator there, she is knowledgeable, friendly and patient throughout the whole process. She is patient when asking questions and easy to work with. The Paesanos team is also easy to work with, and the food was amazing. The whole venue itself is beautiful, and the guests at our wedding were impressed. Would highly recommend working with Jess and the SBV crew for your special day! -

The first and only venue we looked at!! Beautiful vineyard and the location is perfect, right on the river and easy to find. All of our guests loved it. It’s the perfect cozy, intimate atmosphere while you still get beautiful scenery and surroundings. Everyone working there is the absolute best, I felt like I had so much help, I don’t know how I would have done it without them! Little details I probably would have forgotten about were handled and it just all felt so organized. Planning a wedding is stressful enough but they made it so much easier. Soo friendly, professional, helpful, straightforward, you name it. From the first day we went to go check it out I knew it was the place I wanted. The in house caterer (Paesano’s) served us the most delicious food, all of our guests raved about the food and wine - and we got to enjoy plenty of it too. We had the most beautiful day and couldn’t have picked a better place to start our life together.❤️ -

As an out of town couple my fiancé and I knew we wanted our wedding in our hometown. We found Scribner Bend Vineyards online and immediately fell in love with the venue. I had reached out to Jessica and after our emails I had my cousin view the venue while FaceTiming us (since were 1700 miles away) and after our FaceTime chat we knew that this was THE venue!
Working with Jessica was such a breeze! She was so organized and would even send me updates on what was needed. On our wedding day everything was so perfect from beginning to end. Jessica and the Scribner Bend team were so amazing and they made sure everything ran smoothly.
The venue is absolutely gorgeous and there almond white wine is SO good. I highly recommend this venue! -

I really couldn't have dreamed of a better venue! Jessica was so easy to work with even from out of state! She answered all my questions, no matter how big or small, within 24-48 hours! Being out of state communication was HUGE for me in the planning process! I would definitely recommend SBV to all of my friends and family and I would definitely consider having another event there as well! -

Jessica, and the whole Scribner Bend team, were a dream to work with for our wedding in August. Jessica keeps you up to date with reminders and is very organized. She makes you feel like you are the only event going on. Everything is straight forward and easy to understand. I did not worry about one thing on our wedding day. The venue was gorgeous and all of our guests kept saying how beautiful the setting was. Scribner Bend makes it really easy to pick vendors, if you’re not dead set on someone in particular. We hired everyone from their preferred vendor list and couldn’t be happier with all of their service. The food was amazing and everyone complimented on how delicious it was. Wedding planning can be stressful and hectic, but not with Scribner Bend. We highly recommend them as a wedding venue. You will not be disappointed! -

Gorgeous venue!
My fiance and I have been wine club members here for three years and got married here on 05-18-19 and I highly recommend them as a wedding venue.
As a wedding venue, Scribner Bend exceeded our expectations. We chose them initially because they are close to downtown Sacramento (easy access for all of our friends and family), they have reasonable prices compared to other venues in the region, they have always made us feel like family, the wine is wonderful, and the venue is just gorgeous. It was also a bonus that their exclusive caterer is Paesanos - which just so happens to be our favorite Sacramento restaurant.
Jessica helped make everything run smoothly from the planning stage through execution, and even with last minute changes she was calm and professional and everything went off without a hitch.
The day of our wedding we had to contend with a freak rainstorm (and I mean downpours all day), and my dream of an outdoor garden wedding was crushed (after all, one of the reasons I chose this place was because of the beautiful gardens and vineyards). However, Scribner had a backup plan and we ended up having the ceremony in the barrel room, cocktail hour in the tasting room, and moved the entire reception under the tent in the courtyard. I was amazed at how gorgeous the barrel room ceremony turned out and I had several people mention how they could not believe that was our BACK UP plan... in fact I might even have loved the barrel room more than the chardonnay garden! Moving the ceremony into the cocktail hour space and into the reception area seemed to go smoothly, and Jessica was even able to find some extra umbrellas for guests to use. In spite of the rain, we had a wonderful wedding, our guests had an amazing time, and we got some great pictures. Our guests raved about how pretty the venue was, how great the bartenders were, and how delicious the food was.
I also have to mention that I love that they have the bungalow on site for the bridal party to get ready in - that made the day go very smoothly and there is plenty of room for people to spread out and enjoy themselves. I just wish that the bride and groom were able to stay there overnight!
My wedding is a testimony to the fact that even in torrential downpours - you can have an amazing wedding at Scribner! :) -

The weekend after we were engaged Jacie and I began looking for our dream venue. We wanted a barn, a big white tent, and a few vines to get the perfect photo nestled among the vineyard. I knew I would have to sacrifice at least one, right? Wrong! Little did we know that we would get all three and more! We booked three tours of venues in the greater Sacramento and Scribner Bend Vineyard was the first and only stop. When we walked on site, we looked at each other and just knew, this was where we would tie the knot! SBV was an absolute dream come true! Not only did they exceed all of our dreams and expectations, the whole staff was AMAZING! Jessica was so helpful and attentive with all of our questions and the staff on the day of took care of everything the wedding party, vendors, and guests needed. We could not have planned our dream wedding without Jessica and the staff at SBV, Jacie and I were both in grad school and all of our guests lived over 150 miles away. Jessica coordinated everything, and made the planning process a breeze! WE LOVE SBV and it is an added plus that we get to stop by the vineyard on weekends for good food and a glass of wine! -

My husband and I held our wedding here at Scribner on September 29, 2018 and we could not have been more pleased. The professionalism of the staff from our very first visit and tour, to the many emails along the way, made us feel cared for like family. Every detail was carefully considered both in the planning and the day of. We love all the different locations around the property, and renting the bridal bungalow is a must! The menu we chose from Paesano's was incredible, the quick lines at the bars and the timing of our evening, along with the picturesque landscape are just a few reasons why we are constantly getting compliments from our guests. Over the months leading up to our wedding, we stopped in often to enjoy events such as the Chili Cook Off, and eventually became wine club members. We brought our families and friends to the winery for lunch many times and look forward to our first visit back as a married couple. Scribner Bend Vineyards was everything that we needed and wanted for our wedding, and so much more! -

Joneal Sent on 01/06/2011Words cannot express how happy we are that we got married at Scribner Bend Vineyards. Our journey began when we were looking for our dream wedding venue. My new husband and I went to Scribner Bend after looking at 30 other wedding venues. The moment that we arrived at Scribner Bend we fell in love with the vineyard. The venue was beautiful and very intimate. As we were leaving we met Mr. Scribner and he showed us around the venue and was so warm and welcoming. My husband and I booked Scribner Bend that following week almost two years before our actual wedding date. Throughout the wedding planning process we got to work with Mari who was absolutely amazing. Mari was so knowledgeable, and was very supportive. On our special day, Mark, Loraine and Mari were angels. We cannot thank them enough for all of the support and love they showed us on our big day. Our wedding day was perfect and our guest walked away raving about the venue and our wedding. All of the staff at Scribner Bend was professional, attentive and timely. Several of my friends loved our wedding so much they are asking our permission to get married there. My husband and I did not have to worry about anything on our big day! Everything went so smoothly and every time we turned around Mari had already taken care of everything. I would have paid more money to get married there that is how happy we are with the service we received. Thank you to the Scribner Bend family for going above and beyond on our special day. God really put great people around us on our wedding day and we are forever grateful!

The vineyards surrounded us and our guests for ceremony and reception making the ambience feel comfortable and warm. They allow tents at the venue which we had that adds even more character to the venue. With the linen swooping across the top and chandeliers hanging added a romantic and elegant feeling during the reception. Mairi, the wedding coordinator, as well as the staff, did everything possible to our wedding a flawless, easy flowing, and gorgous evening. Our wedding was absolutely perfect! Angela Sent on 08/01/2018My wife and I wanted the perfect representation of us and our Rustic Romantic theme for our wedding day. We visited a few venues but fell in love with Scribner as soon as we walked into the garden. It was everything we were looking for. From the open garden ceremony space with blooming white Rose's, to the outside open cocktail area, the unbelievable reception space under the lighted tent, and beautiful barn backdrop for the dance floor and bar. From the moment I arrived to the bungalow at SBV, I was relaxed and the staff on site made sure I not only had everything I needed but they continued to check on me and make sure I knew everything was going as planned. Some staff even ran around grabbing vendors for me as I needed them. Our on-site event coordinators made sure to keep me hidden from my wife until my grand entrance. Even with the unexpected winds, the staff didn’t get bewildered they just adjusted things and kept going. We were able to utilize the preferred vendors of SBV’s and after working with them we see why they are preferred vendors, they carry the same high standards of customer service and compassion for the soon to be married couple as Scribner does. From the very first email exchange with Jessica to the day after our wedding, Jessica stayed focused on our details while reassuring us that it was going to be perfect. Scribner Bend made our wedding day easy, relaxed and picture perfect exactly the way we both imagined and wanted it to be. Huge heart felt thank you to the entire staff on scene and behind the scenes at SBV!

Marly Sent on 09/24/2018We absolutely loved our Scribner Bend wedding. We received so many compliments! The venue is beautiful so it doesn't need much in terms of decorating. The staff is incredible. Everyone went above and beyond answering so many silly questions from us and keeping us happy and relaxed on the big day. It was great to work with a venue that the vendors knew so well, which left little for us to worry about. I highly recommend booking Scribner.
