Kenny responded immediately to our needs (previous music venue cancelled). He walked us through the options. Listened to our agenda needs and brought in and DJ’d an awesome reception. We would highly recommend him to any one and everyone. -

Amazing experience!
Kenny was amazing! He asked us to put together a playlist of a few songs that are "must haves" and then he built the rest of our playlist from there. I also appreciated that he asked us for our "do not play" list haha. Kenny was really responsive and, being that my husband and I are relatively indecisive, he was [very] patient with us when we were picking out our first dance and bridal entrance songs. I would highly recommend Kenny for your wedding DJ! -

Awesome Wedding Ceremony and Reception
Scottie and his team did an awesome job at my wedding. Everything went as scheduled/planned, ZERO issues. He went above and beyond my expectations. He coordinated with the venue without any help from us which saved some stress, everything little thing helps! The DJ played every request someone had and played great music all night! Scottie and his team will treat your event like its they're own and they have a lot of experience to give recommendations. -

Great Company. Have used many times

We could have danced all night!
Ken is always very professional. He makes sure everything is set up properly and very open to suggestions. They are always prompt and courteous and easy to work with.
We have used this company on many occasions from weddings to Country Club activities. I highly recommend them. -

Let's Dance
I can't say enough good things about this company. I have used this company on more than one occasion, from a wedding to a 4th of July party. Hands down the most accommodating and professional entertainment company. Anything I requested they were able to deliver. They answered all my questions and were able to give great suggestions on how to make the events run smoothly. They work great at last minute changes and make sure everyone enjoys the night. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes because you will be dancing the night away with these guys! -

Make your wedding the best it can be!
Our wedding ran so smoothly. They did everything that we asked for and more. The quality of the tunes that were played, the service of the announcements, everything was perfect! Highly recommend! Their responsiveness was also top notch. Any question we had was answered so quickly. They made the planning easy and the price was right. -

Expert Service
From start to finish, complete expert service. From the early planning stages in working with the couple to plan the reception, selection of songs for specific parts of the event, to the actual event with their professional set-up which added to the elegance of the room. Their MC skills are second to none, very polished and professional. They say the music/entertainment can make or break your event. VIP award goes to Kenny!
After going to over 15+ weddings in the past couple years, I knew what I was looking for in my wedding DJ. Kenny checked off all the boxes. He is a FUN and truly talented entertainer. He helped everything go off without a hitch & rolled with unexpected changes that popped up on the fly, like my FIL deciding the day of to surprise us with a speech! He knew how to make the most use out of the space to ensure everyone could hear the speeches & festivities and offered advice during the planning stages that really helped us out. Kenny was a clutch addition to our wedding day. I ended up being one of those annoying over-controlling brides, and Kenny gave me the "talking-to" I needed to friggin calm down and relax about the wedding day. He is truly a professional, who kept people on the dance floor until the moment he packed up the bags - even my 97 year old grandmother! He is incredibly personable, always available, and played great music. 10/10 would recommend Kenny for your day! -

Loved Scottie Alexander from the beginning. They were recommended to me by a friend. Very responsive and easy to work with. Met with Kenny for our first meeting and he was great so we decided to have him be our DJ for the wedding. He was awesome! People were on the dance floor all night long. I loved how personable they were and easy to communicate with. I liked that we did our final meeting a couple weeks prior to the wedding instead of the week of the wedding like many other DJ companies. Wedding week is so busy, so it was nice to feel like we had everything set with the DJ early on. Thank you again!! -

Scottie Alexander was always the only company we wanted to DJ our wedding. Having been to previous weddings that they worked, was what made up my mind. They definitely keep the dance floor packed all night long no matter what music style you prefer. They are fun, professional, and super helpful if you are indecisive about anything. Kenny is a true professional that provides genuine attention and care to his customers. He made everything as easy as it could be for one of the most hectic nights of our lives. His communication with the photographers and our wedding party was spot on. He expects and strives to make your event the perfect event. Scottie was amazing! We had the Ultimate Package with Scottie Performing. He was amazing! He made the night magical and had so much fun! The reception in the next door room to us had their guests outside our room dancing to our music and had made numerous comments on how much fun we looked like we were having and how awesome our DJ was! He is professional and answers any and all questions you may have. Any requests you have he makes happen. He has the perfect personality for weddings. Upbeat, Fun and Lively! Even sitting down with him going over the details you can see he is good company and fun to be around! Always happy and smiling! He performed our first dance song live and it was perfect. To say that Kenny from Scottie Alexander Entertainment was an outstanding DJ would be an understatement. The 5 star rating is deserved not only for his review as a DJ but what he did above and beyond to bail us out of a potentially horrible situation.
As for the DJ portion of my review, Kenny really was great to work with. Five minutes into our consultation meeting, where you work with Kenny to lay out the expecation for the type of music, specific songs, ques, etc., I knew he was going to be great. We wrapped that meeting and I felt like going to get a beer with Kenny, which is a high compliment. Based on this experiece, along with all the proactive, timely, professional, considerate communications we had leading up to our wedding, I was not surprised when during our wedding every expectation I communicated to Kenny was nailed throughout the entire night, right on que and where I gave him some ground to ad-lib, he made that fun, too.
Now the rest of the story. We had an outdoor wedding/reception in one single location. For guest arrival, the actual ceremony with four specific songs, and for a bit after the ceremony (a two and a half hour slot of time all total), we had hired a singer/guitarist to perform. 12 days before our wedding, this person canceled. I called Kenny, remembering he had said he knew and worked with some musicians as well. When Kenny heard what happened, he owned our problem like it was his own. He was able to find someone to replace our guy, worked diligently to ensure this new person was able to learn the ques and the specific songs (the most important song during the ceremony he did not know and had to teach himself...and he hit it out of the park!), and everything worked out better than we could have dreamed. For the record, the singer/guitarist is Joe Hassell and he has a website and he is fantastic.

Scottie Alexander and staff were very pleasant and easy to work with. We found it extremely helpful that they answered all of our questions before we even asked them. They made sure to coordinate with other vendors at our wedding to make sure everyone was on the same page. Scottie had everything covered and we didn't have one worry or stressful moment with our entertainment. -

I was a bit afraid of getting a dj. Seems they can make or break an evening. Everything turned out great though and people were on the dance floor until the last possible second. Kenny was great to work with and very considerate. He was never the attention hogging personality I was worried about, he made the announcements but otherwise let the music speak for itself and he had a knack for picking out songs people would like. Very well done! -

Outstanding....that is how I would describe Kenny at Scottie Alexander Entertainment. He was wonderful to work with and made the wedding all about my son and daughter in law...not about him. He is not one of those DJ's that takes over the wedding and is way over the top. He kept our guests out on the dance floor all night...and that was important to us. He is very professional, listens to what you want and don't want along with a great personality! I would use him again in a heart beat and highly recommend him! -

We were very comfortable from the moment we met Scottie Alexander. He is very professional and made our ceremony music so beautiful and customized it just for us.. He also preformed live throughout our cocktail hour and also through dinner. We then switched over to the DJ Kenny who did an amazing job keeping the dance floor rocking all night long.. The music for the reception was wonderful! We continue to have guests tell us it was the best reception they have attended. The staff at Crystal Gardens even commented that we had people dancing until the very end which they said rarely happens. Music really makes the party and we could not have had a better DJ!!! We have already booked for our daughter Katie's reception in May 2013!! -

SA Entertainment went above and beyond with the services they provided for our wedding. Scottie himself played the music we selected for our ceremony and he did a great job.
We used one of the company's DJ's for our reception, and were very pleased with the music he played. The music selection suited our crowd perfectly, and all of our guests had a great time! We had a small 25 person wedding on Mackinac Island at The Inn at Stonecliff. Our ceremony was in a small clearing in the woods they call the Grotto, Scottie played the piano down there and moved up to the patio for our reception where he sang and played the piano. I could not say enough good things about him or his performance. Our friends and family danced the day away and raved about our pick of entertainment.
His professionalism can not be measured. Not only was he there to do his job, he helped to calm my nervous husband and lent a hand to make sure the photagrapher had what he needed. You would be lucky to have Scottie perform for your wedding, but if you're just looking for a DJ I have seen a number of his DJ's perform and it is of my opinion that you can not go wrong with this company. -

We are so glad that Scottie Alexander was our DJ for our special day. They were so flexible when working with my odd song requests. The day of the wedding, Scottie even came back to find me to make sure he had the right song to walk down the aisle, which is awesome! The set up was great! Brought some fun lights and looked very nice. The reason I gave 4 stars for Professionalism, at one point in the night while everyone was an hour or so into dancing, out of no where Scottie announced " Absolutely NO drinks on the dance floor." My guests and I were very confused. People downed their drinks, or some just left the dance floor. I ran over the the venue coordinator to ask if she suggested that, to which she said that was not her doing. I assume maybe my guests were too close to his equipment which I totally understand why he should be concerned. I just wish he came to me or my husband about the situation and we would handle our guests. When I assumed that that was the reason, I went to all my guest that had a drink in their hand and just asked them to move back and problem was solved. Scottie played all the songs we asked and some even requested by our guests which we didn't mind at all :) He did a great job! Glad we picked him for our special day! Thanks Scottie and Kenny! -
