Amazing Baker

Our wedding cake and cupcakes were a hit, thanks to Savvy Treats! They delivered and helped set up for my New Year's Day Wedding. Everyone enjoyed our desserts and still talk about them to this day.

Great vegan cake

I’ve ordered the vegan cupcakes before, but this week was my first time ordering their vegan chocolate cake. It was so delicious. Extra time was taken to give some eating and storage tips. The cake itself was decorated perfectly, it was dense and delicious. I’m so happy with the experience

The Perfect Chocolate Wedding Cake

We absolutely loved our chocolate wedding cake from Savvy Treats. We coordinated with Cheryl the entire time and she was great in helping us figure out exactly what we wanted. I always wanted an all chocolate wedding cake and Cheryl did not disappoint. I only wish I could have another piece because it was gone at the end of our wedding night. But we ll just have to go back and get another one on our anniversary!

Delicious and Classy

Cheryl and team created the yummiest, most impeccable wedding cake for our intimate 30 person wedding ceremony. I'm a huge cake lover, so I cake tasted with 4 different vendors before I decided on Savvy. She did my sister's wedding cake too! Beyond the taste, the best part was stumbling upon Cheryl herself in my parent's kitchen, carefully arranging loose flowers on the cake. Can't wait to taste it again on our one year anniversary!

Savvy Treats did an exceptional job!

Cheryl and Savvy Treats did an amazing job with our wedding! She was flexible with the MULTIPLE date changes due to COVID. We decided to have cupcakes for the guests and a small cake for the bride and groom cake. Everybody loved all of the cupcake flavors (vanilla, german chocolate, salty caramel, and carrot cake)! The taste and design of our bride and groom cake was perfect! Just what I imagined. My husband does not usually like cakes/sweets, but he said that this cake was delicious (vanilla cake with vanilla swiss filling)! Savvy Treats really helped make our day special.

Cake was beautiful and absolutely delicious!

Cheryl and her team at Savvy Treats did an amazing job! We had a small, intimate minimony because of the pandemic and went with a two tier cake. The cake was moist and delicious! Our guests were going back for seconds and thirds! We went with the salty caramel, paired with a vanilla tier. Both flavors were a hit! Cheryl did an amazing job! We will definitely be back to Savvy Treats to enjoy all of the delicious-ness!

Splendiferous!

Hello, I recently hired Savvy Treats for my daughter's wedding reception on 10/17/2020 at The Hamilton Restaraunt in DC. The cake tasted even better than it looked. Just looking at the cake design was very eye-popping and impressive. Cheryl delivered on the cake 1000% and I meant to put one thousand! I requested a tiered cake with a strawberry buttercream frosting and champagne flavored cake. Cheryl recommended applying a strawberry meringue filling in between the layers. The cake design and presentation was Food Art at it's best. The flavor was outstanding, she applied the perfect chemistry of sweetness making sure all the flavors were able to individually standout, the texture was perfect, The cake was moist with the right amount of body to it. I like to watch people's expressions. Body language never lies. When my guests bit into their slices, I noticed eyes closing, humming, praying hand gestures, smiles, whispering the words DAMN (in a good way lol), and several guests simply saying WOW. My daughter was extremely pleased and the cake is GONE! I would like to add the cake was delivered to the reception on time for set up and the communication was professional and friendly.

Delicious Cake

We ordered a two tiered cake and a sheet cake (ended up being much more cake than needed) but both were delicious. Flavors we chose were salty caramel and lemon blueberry and they were both a big hit. Cake was decorated beautifully according to our wishes.

They did an awesome job!

They made my son Lego cake pops for his 4th birthday. I assumed it would be very challenging, but they pulled it off beautifully. My son LOVED them. I'll be back for every birthday we celebrate. The cake was sweet and not overpowering at all. Just perfect 👍

Beautiful cake and cupcakes!

Cheryl at Savvy Treats was so easy to work with and very transparent about prices. She let us customize our options and was flexible with changes. She did a beautiful ribbon design on our cake and it looked great! The flavors were delicious too!

We decided to forego a traditional wedding cake and instead have a small cutting cake and mini cupcakes as dessert at our wedding and our guests LOVED the cupcakes! Cheryl was awesome to work with, providing us a complimentary tasting of her amazingly delicious cakes and doing all the setup day-of. We ended up going with a red velvet 6 inch cutting cake, which was gorgeous and delicious, and then offering red velvet, salted caramel, lemon and Oreo mini cupcakes, all of which received rave reviews from everyone. The best part about the mini cupcakes was it allowed guests to grab them and go, instead of sitting down to eat cake, which kept the party lively all night long. We would absolutely recommend Cheryl and Savvy Treats to anyone looking for both cakes and cupcakes that are beautiful and tasty!

Savvy Treats delivers a top notch product with first rate customer service. I ordered 5 dozen assorted cupcakes. Despite giving less than 24 hours notice, Cheryl delivered them to me in person first thing in the morning. She's flexible, accommodating, and reliable. And let's not forget the cupcakes--they are fantastic and highly professional. I'd order from Cheryl again in a heartbeat.

I actually found Savvy Treats through Wedding Wire--I didn't know anyone who had used them. Our venue didn't include a cake (although they would provide one at an exorbitant charge). We were thinking about doing a dummy cake to cut and then having sheet cakes in the back.
We went in for a tasting and meeting with Cheryl and she really offered her professional opinion and vision. She explained to us that cupcakes would be easier to deliver and set up, cheaper, and more appetizing for guests to eat. We ended up going with mini cupcakes which meant each guest could try different flavors. I'm gluten free so I couldn't try them but our guests raved as did my husband, who has very high standards for desserts.
Throughout the process, Cheryl was friendly, helpful, and responsive. We thoroughly enjoyed working with her and we're very satisfied with the end result. I high recommend Savvy Treats for wedding desserts!

Savvy Treats was a sweet find for our wedding cake! So many bakeries charge an arm-and-a-leg only to focus on design over taste, Cheryl Savastano accomplishes both to perfection at a very reasonable price! We gave her a picture of a design and she recreated it exactly; the two tier-cake she delivered to our venue for our 120 guests was one of the best cakes we have ever tasted!! So many wedding cakes are dry and unforgettable but ours was moist and delicious. We will now be regular customers as her baked goods are phenomenal!! Cheryl's good nature and patience made her a dream to work with; she is a rare find and a hidden gem!

The wedding cake was not only beautiful - it was delicious! 4 tiers of alternating layers. Loved the vanilla cake with raspberry swiss filling combined with the hazelnut cake with vanilla swiss filling. Yummy! It was a hit!

I highly recommend Cheryl of Savvy Treats. I am so glad our wedding planner Jamesa recommended Savvy Treats to us. Cheryl is extremely professional, talented, and easy to work with. After sampling cupcakes from six different bakeries, Savvy Treats was the easy choice. Cheryl helped us pick out mini cupcakes in four different flavors (vanilla, lemon, strawberry (special request), and chocolate peanut butter) and rose to the challenge of our wedding cake. We wanted a TARDIS cake and gave her reference pictures, and she said she’d do her best. Our wedding cake was awesome!!! The color and details were spot-on, and Cheryl even figured out a way to incorporate a little glowing LED light for the light on the top! (So cool!!!) The cake and the cupcakes were delicious and we were eating the cake fondant with a fork for breakfast - we don’t even usually like fondant! We highly recommend Savvy Treats for wedding cake and cupcake needs!

Our wedding was on 10/22/2016, and Cheryl was phenomenal from the tasting up until her delivery of her most tasty and beautiful mini cupcakes. We decided that we were not going to do big cupcakes because we had so much food we did not want anyone to be full. So we had our own two tier cake for us and bridal party and we had 600 mini cupcakes that were four different flavors. All I know is our guest really enjoyed it so much that a lot of them took more home in a to go box :) ... Thank you Cheryl for your wonderful services and to anyone looking for someone to fulfill there wedding when it comes to dessert, please don't hesitate to call Cheryl!!! She is a such kind, funny, loving and patient person!! She will get the job done!!!

The baker made a groom's cake and wedding cake, both of which were amazing. The way the wedding cake was prepared, as a traditional British-style fruitcake, just proved how talented Cheryl is. She decorated it with beautiful sugar flowers and also had custom figurines made. We would not hesitate to recommend them for any special event.

Cheryl was THE BEST! She was so sweet when we went to try flavors for our wedding cake, and didn't judge us at all when we wanted four tiers of funfetti covered in sprinkles. The cake was even more beautiful than I could have hoped for, and the taste was ABSURDLY GOOD. We ended up eating the top tier as soon as we got home from our honeymoon because it was too good to save until our first anniversary. I can't say enough wonderful things about this experience. Cheryl with Savvy Treats was the only baker in the area that I contacted (and I contacted a lot) who was willing and able to make a traditional British-style fruitcake for my wedding clients. It was delicious, arrived on time, and exceeded everyone's expectations in terms of presentation and taste. I look forward to working with Savvy Treats in the future.

My fiancé (now wife) had read some reviews online and after calling other places she suggested Savvy Treats because of the reviews it had gotten from other people. They were not wrong in recommending Savvy Treats because we recommend it to other people too.
We met Cheryl and from the start she was flexible and accommodating to our suggestions. She was very professional and such a good person to work with. Everything we tried tasted yummy! Now when people talk about other places, I tell them about Savvy Treats. It is my hands-down recommendation every time. Just go!

We originally went for a tasting here because they made mini pies and my groom was not the biggest fan of cake because of the sweeter frostings. He even liked the cupcakes here so we ordered mini cupcakes and mini pies for our wedding with a cutting layer on top. We loved the cupcake flavors and at the wedding the guests loved the mini cupcakes and went through the mini pies super quick! Thank you so much Ms. Cheryl for wonderful sweet treats.

Oh my goodness! Savvy Treat's cupcakes are absolutely delicious!! Cheryl knows how to make a light but sweet cake. She was very accommodating in letting me come try the flavors and also in helping plan out what my top cake would look like. I had a 3 tier cupcake cake with a 6 inch cake on the top tier. It turned out very cute! Her prices are reasonable and she tries to help as much as she can. She is also very friendly! I will be going back when we move out there!!

While planning our wedding, my then fiance (now husband) and I decided that we did not want a large wedding cake -- we just wanted something small, charming, and afforable that also tasted great and fit with our personalities. After visiting a couple of bakeries, we settled on Savvy Treats. Cheryl, the owner, was a delight to work with -- everything from setting up the original tasting to picking a design, making payments, and picking up the cake. We ordered a mocha cake with chocolate filling and vanilla buttercream for our wedding cake, but we loved so many of the flavors that we plan to come back in the future for other cakes and cupcakes. Cheryl was very professional, responsive, and made us a great cake. She even replicated a design of the cake from a picture I provided for her with impeccable detail! I have nothing but good things to say about Cheryl and Savvy Treats!

There is so much I can say about Cheryl. I loved everything about her and she made everything so simple for us. We were able to get a tasting immediately, gave her an example of what we wanted and she produced 110%. She is funny, sweet and professional, making our experience very memorable. We didn't want the traditional wedding cake, so we were able to meet with her twice and she created our cake exactly how we wanted it. Since my wedding, several of my friends have called to make request and pick up cupcakes/cakes from her for their special occasions. I plan on using Cheryl for many more events in the future. Hire Her!!!! Just do it....
Our wedding cakes were amazing!!!! They looked lovely and tasted sooooo moist and yummy! The red velvet wedding cake was a huge hit with all our guests.
Savvy Treats worked with us and accommodate our needs. We had a small wedding and she created the cake we wanted in a size that fit our needs. I highly recommend her and would visit her shop for all our future "sweet tooth" needs!

Cheryl was the best! I was so pleased with my wedding cake; it was unique and tasted wonderful! My fiance and i provided photos of what we envisioned and Cheryl created a beautiful cake with fondant, just as i described. Our tasting was delicious and the cake on our wedding day was fresh as that day in the bakery! Cheryl was very responsible via email to ensure we had the correct cake topper arrangements and correct color pallet. I'm so happy we went with Savvy Treats and I definitely recommend them!

Cheryl the owner of Savvy Treats was wonderful! She had great ideas and and suggested the perfect cake and cupcakes for my guests. We had a somewhat small wedding so she suggested that we have a 6" round cake for the cake cutting ceremony and then do cupcakes for our guests.
It was perfect!
I would highly recommend Savvy Treats!!!!!

Cheryl was wonderful to work with from the beginning. Her cupcakes were a hit at our wedding! Everyone (still!) is raving about how delicious they were and how nicely they were set up for the reception. At our initial meeting with Cheryl, she provided plenty of delicious samples. She really helped us understand how to create a good selection of flavors based on our preferences. Cheryl was responsive to all of our emails and questions and did a great job setting up the cupcakes for our reception. We are so happy we had Savvy Treats at our wedding and look forward to visiting their new store soon!

Her passion for baking really shows in her work. Her cupcakes are UNBELIEVABLE! I am not even a cake person and at our tasting I could not get enough of them! We did the mini's-which were perfect! We did not have one left by the end of the event everyone was just popping them in.

Cherly at Savvy Treats was able to help me surprise my Groom with a NY Giants cake at our rehearsal dinner. Cheryl was a pleasure to work with. She was very responsive and even worked directly with another family member to coordinate getting the cake to our venue. I asked for a fondent cake in the shape of the NY Giants logo- and it turned out perfect! Not only did the cake look great, but it tasted amazing. Cheryl (Savvy Treats) made the most beautiful and delicious mini-cupcakes I have ever seen for our wedding. She is very professional and a delightful person. She made sure she understood exactly what we wanted in terms of taste and look and delivered exactly as promised. She arrived early on the day of the wedding and set them up in a beautiful way. Our guests loved the cupcakes, they couldn't stop eating them and neither could we! I highly recommend her, and the prices are very affordable. Best option for any event.

We received regular sized and mini cupcakes from Cheryl's Savvy Treats and they are awesome!!! My request was for a same day order and delivery. Cheryl was so kind and made a way to delivery my request early that I needed. Delicious cupcakes and so pleasant customer service. I truly appreciate you Cheryl.

Cheryl's cupcakes are to die for!! She made mini cupcakes for my wedding, and everyone LOVED them. People were talking about them all night. They were the best cupcakes I have ever had, and I loved being able to choose different flavors. All of them were so delicious! We got peanut butter, chocolate, vanilla, and carrot cake. All of them just as equally good!

On top of the amazing cupcakes, Cheryl is awesome to work with! She is so professional, easy going, and nice, I would never want to work with anyone else!

I can't recommend Cheryl highly enough. We ordered just over a hundred cupcakes (German chocolate cake, vanilla, sea salt caramel, and toffee) and they were amazing. Our guests raved about them. They also looked beautiful and we're beautifully decorated. Cheryl was very responsive, organized, and professional. As a bride without a wedding planner or organizer, it was nice to be working with someone so reliable. We had a very unusual grooms cake request, and Cheryl worked from pictures to pull it off flawlessly. Working with her was a great experience.

Savvy Treats made mini cupcakes for our June 2013 wedding in Sandy Spring, MD - they were a huge hit! Our guests were treated to three flavors: peanut butter blossom, carrot cake and salted caramel. Everyone loved all three, but the peanut butter blossoms were gone first!

Cheryl was really nice to work with and she went out of her way to be flexible for the tasting. It can be difficult to find quality vendors in your price range in DC-MD, but Savvy Treats fits the bill for both!

Everyone raved about the cupcakes Savvy Treats delivered for my wedding. We had a mix of red velvet, carrot cake, lemon with raspberry, and vanilla cupcakes. The night of the wedding I only had red velvet, but the morning after indulged in a few of the other flavors and they were still great!
Cheryl was great to work with and her cupcakes were a huge hit.

Savvy Treats worked with me on customization, and all the flavors were delicious. But beyond that, the value of having my order brought right to my door and set up for me in a lovely presentation was unbeatable. Savvy Treats created beautiful cupcake towers for my husbands 40th birthday party. We had the carrot cake, pink lemonade, vanilla and red velvet (my husband's favorite). We ordered minis and regular sizes. They all were delicious. The towers looked beautiful on the table & made an elegant touch to the event. I thought we would have some left over at the end of the night but they were devoured. I highly recommend the carrot & pink lemonade. The lemonade was a nice touch as we went into the summer season.
The delivery & set up was on time and beautiful. Ordering from Savvy Treats was pleasant and easy. I will be using them again for a wedding shower.

For our wedding Cheryl provided us with 500 mini cupcakes in a variety of flavors and a small tiered cake to cut for photos. The cake and cupcakes were delicious! We got so many compliments on the cupcakes especially the salty caramel and carrot cake flavored mini cupcakes. People thought the mini cupcakes were the perfect size. I also loved the mini cupcakes because they allowed people to try a variety of flavors instead of having just one slice of cake. The small tiered cake she provided us with was also beautifully done. In addition to making delicious cupcakes Cheryl is an absolute joy to work with. I definitely recommend using her services.

Cheryl did such an amazing job for our wedding! We did cupcakes for our guests, and a two tiered cake to cut. They were all delicious (we did vanilla bean and red velvet), and the guests were big fans! Everything was beautiful! I definitely recommend Savvy Treats for any event!

What's a party without sweets? Raise the bar with Savvy Treats. That rhyme wasn't intentional, but it works. And it sums up how my husband and I feel about the delectable Savvy Treats cupcakes that we featured at our recent wedding.

Our caterer had recommended Savvy Treats, and we are so glad that we took her advice. Doing business with Savvy Treats owner Cheryl Savastano was a no brainer. Cheryl was helpful and accommodating. She offered us a tasting, but her cupcakes were so highly recommended that we mainly transacted our business by phone.

Cheryl suggested a variety of four different flavors: mocha, vanilla bean, salted caramel, and carrot. She also suggested a six-inch cake that we could feed each other. That turned out to be a fun highlight that raised a lot of laughs. We took Cheryl's advice, and we are happy with both the selections and the reasonable price.

And the guests? Bingo. They latched on to those cupcakes with unbridled zeal - so much so that my partner and I had only a few left the next morning. (No complaints! They were part of a great breakfast.) The guests who contacted us yesterday raved about the cakes. The salted caramel flavor was an obvious standout.

We couldn't be happier with our decision to serve Savvy Treats cupcakes for our special day. They were a big part of our celebration, and we look forward to doing business with Cheryl again. If you're considering sweets for your special occasion, we highly recommend Savvy Treats.

We had originally planned on using the preferred vendor recommended by our venue, but did not have a good experience at the tasting so we decided to keep looking. I initially hesitated about contacting Savvy Treats because they are located in Rockville, MD and our wedding was out in Bristow, VA, so I wasn't sure if she could deliver that far at a reasonable cost. But I am so glad that we did. Cheryl was really sweet and helpful during our tasting and the cupcakes were fantastic. We ended up ordering mini cupcakes, a cutting cake, cannoli and chocolate covered strawberries. We got lots of compliments on the desserts from the guests! My only advice to Cheryl would be to provide a more detailed invoice so your customers can better understand what they are paying for each item. I definitely recommend contacting Savvy Treats if you want delicious cupcakes at your wedding.

I placed an order for my husband’s birthday. The customer service experience was phenomenal. They returned my call the same day. Provided me with pricing on the same day over the telephone. Price is a little expensive. I ordered a round Cake. Serving 8-10. Total $45. I also purchased 8 cupcakes the day I picked up my order; which was $20. However, again however; it tasted so Darn GOOD. The cake flavor was peanut butter/reese’s pieces. Not only were we satisfied with the cake, but the customer service was very pleasant.

No call, no show, no order.....

Although the initial interaction was great when I placed my order......
Everything went downhill when a week later it was time for me to pick up.
Lights were off, I had to knock on the door, order not ready, asked to come back the next day, calls unanswered the next day, sat in front of Savvy Treats for an hour waiting.....
Never got the order and I had to call three times to get my refund which took 3 weeks to get.
Poor form all the way around!
