Everything from our first emails to the post-reception clean-up was wonderful. Derek, the owner, apparently has psychic powers and after asking us some general questions about our taste in food suggested a tasting menu that was exactly right. You've got to appreciate someone who knows you need the good cabbage if you're doing jerk chicken!
We had the jerk chicken, mojo pulled pork, braised cabbabe, rice and peas, and plantains. All of them were amazing! The jerk chicken tasted very much like the recipe I have from a friend's Jamaican grandmother, for example, and the guests raved about the cabbage (as did my wife and I). They brought a LOT of food and even though our head count was right on target, we had a bunch of leftovers. The guests were raving about the food! As a heads up, when something is supposed to be spicy, it's spicy! Definitely do a tasting so you can dial in on exactly what's right for you.
All of the day-of staff were friendly and excited to be there. The set up and tear down went very smoothly and there was nothing for us to do in terms of cleaning up the venue's kitchen at the end of the night. The cut our cakes perfectly, on top of it all. The bartender they used (beer and wine only due to restrictions from the venue) was also a hit.
The entire experience was about as perfect as you could ask for, even the one mistake! There was a mistake on the first quote sent to me (some information got swapped between us and another client, quite reasonable), but it was sorted out immediately and with no fuss. Anyone can make a mistake, but the best folks to work with know how to fix them properly!
You owe it to yourself to give this folks a try. 10/10 all around. (Also, I would be willing to do some minor crimes to get that cabbage recipe...) -

Great Wedding Experience with Delicious Food
So glad we found Savory for our wedding. The food was delicious and the experience surpassed all expectations. Simply Amazing!! All my guests were happy and they even made separate meals for my vegan guest. Highly recommended.Savory House Kitchen's reply:

We recently celebrated our wedding with 85 guests, and the catering provided by Savory by DDT was nothing short of extraordinary!
From the initial consultation to the final bite, Derek demonstrated a level of professionalism and attention to detail that exceeded our expectations. The menu selection process was seamless, allowing us to customize the offerings to suit our preferences and accommodate some dietary restrictions among guests. The presentation was top-notch and each dish was a testament to the use of high-quality, fresh ingredients.
The service staff was attentive, and friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure that every guest felt taken care of.
Derek and his team not only provided exceptional food and service but also contributed to the overall ambiance of our wedding. All night our guests were coming up to us saying it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding!
The crab cakes were our absolute favorite and were the first thing gone from the buffet!

Chef Derek and his team did an amazing job! They kept our family entertained while we took photos after the wedding. The whole time we received texts about the food they had sampled tasted amazing.. which made us wanna rush back haha. They made our table look amazing and the food was great! I highly recommend Derek and his team. -

Amazing food! Highly recommended
When we found Savory we saw the pictures and the food looked amazing. When we reached out to Chef Derek he was so accommodating and he customized a menu just for us. I wanted to incorporate flavors from my partners culture and he didn’t hesitate. We had a tasting and it lived up to the expectations. The food was so good, we decided to sign the contract right on the spot. Chef Derek made both our entrees (beef short ribs & sriracha honey glazed salmon) and two other hors d’oeuvres (crab cakes and bacon wrapped dates) we selected. The day of our wedding the food tasting just like it did during our tasting. Our guest were so happy with the food. We still have our friends talking about his food.
