Great Wedding Event

For a worry-free beautiful wedding venue, I would highly recommend Savory Gourmet. From the planning of the event to the actual event they were responsive to the wishes of the bride and groom. The staff was excellent, the food outstanding. Everyone enjoyed the event. Thank you Savory Gourmet for making my daughter's wedding a memorable event and exceeded our expectations.

What an amazing experience. Danielle and her company were the event planners and caterer for my parents' 50th Wedding Anniversary party. We had 100 people in attendance and each one raved about the decor, food and service of the staff. I never could have pulled off the event without Danielle holding my hand and assuring me that everything was going to be great. She did not disappoint!

I'm probably going to run out of characters telling you how awesome Danielle Rozier & the Savory Gourmet team are. I got married June 18, 2016 and from beginning to end Danielle worked with me providing delicious amazing food, staying within my budget, handling any problems that came up immediately. She also stepped in several time where my HORRIBLE coordinator fell short. My parents love her, my friends and family love her, I love her and will definitely use her again for other events in the future. I highly recommend her to anyone, she gave me the best value for the money as well and in this day and age it's just unheard of to get so many good things from one company. But Savory Gourmet is that company.

Danielle and her entire staff at Savory Gourmet are simply PHENOMENAL!!!

One of the most difficult process during our wedding planning experience, was trying to find a professional catering services company that is ABLE to host a Ghanaian cultural wedding event with over 450+ guests in attendance. Fortunately, by God's grace we found Savory Gourmet during our first initial searches, and working with them was the best decision we made!

During our search for a catering vendor, we had key expectations/criteria's that we wanted our preferred vendor of choice to exhibit: (1) A vendor that is able to provide everything that we needed, such as waitstaff, bartenders, rentals, and the whole-nine; (2) A cost-effective vendor; (3) A vendor that can manage an event with 450+ people; and (4) A well experienced and professional team.

Danielle and her team not only met these criteria's but exceeded them. They were professional throughout, and was always in communication with us. They did everything that they could to ensure that we had an amazing, elegant, and sophisticated (yet very fun) wedding! They also have a great network of renowned vendors that they recommended to us to help complete our portfolio of vendors for our wedding.

If I could write a book on how phenomenal Danielle and her team is, I most certainly will, and in-turn I would give them all of the proceeds from the book--because THAT is how deserving they are for the wonderful and skillful services that they provided. It's been 2 weeks since our wedding and we are still in awe after looking back at the pictures and videos to see the wonderful work that Savory Gourmet did.

We highly recommend Danielle and her team. You honestly do not need to go anywhere else if you are reading this review right now.

Savory Gourmet did an OUTSTANDING job catering my the launch party for my book, Elegant Entrepreneur! Danielle came up with the perfect menu and handled a large event using a kitchen without a stove like a pro (because she is one).

The service was impeccable and friendly. Guests raved about the food, especially the Ahi tuna tartar and beef tenderloin crostini. I loved how easy it was to work with Danielle, her genuine interest in understanding my event and what she could do to make it truly special, and her attention to detail (she coordinated foods that matched the colors of my book cover).

If you are searching for an out of the ordinary caterer to handle an event of high importance...Savory Gourmet is a must!

Danielle and her team were really easy to work with and made sure everything went smoothly. The food looked and tasted great and people even told me how much they liked it. My favorite was the lamb meatballs! Their prices are very reasonable and Danielle was very responsive to all my emails an questions.

Danielle and her staff at Savory Gourmet were absolutely amazing!!! I contacted several catering companies in the area and she was the only one that offered anything at a reasonable price. Not only did she work with me and my budget by upgrading our package (for free!), she made amazing food for our wedding. All of my guests were complimenting the food on how good it was and how nicely it was displayed. She made sure to save us some of the cocktail hour food (lobster rolls and crab cakes, delicious!) She also saved the day because my desserts, which consisted of 30 pies, were delivered on the wrong day to the venue. My pastry chef totally messed up, and the wedding party on the previous day ATE ALL OF MY PIES although clearly they had not ordered them. Danielle told us not to worry; she found pies, cakes, cookies, and cream puffs at the last minute and put them on display. She didn't even ask us to pay extra for them. My guests had no idea that there had been a dessert debacle. Highly recommend Savory Gourmet!!

Savory Gourmet Catering & Events was a true blessing to us. I contacted them 3 months before the wedding with a budget, schedule, cocktail style wedding but they provided more than we could've imagined. Danielle is awesome... She attended the venue for multiple walk-throughs, wedding rehearsal, the date of the wedding her staff set-up/clean-up. The staff of Savory Gourmet were bilingual which helped a ton because we had guest traveling from Puerto Rico. She made sure that I didn't worry about the food, drinks, décor, etc. Our guest loved the food and set up. Our favorite was the lobster rolls, tacos, cheese & seafood dip platter, dessert table, actually everything... with it being a cocktail style reception... the guest were pretty full... They had more than enough food.

Danielle and her company were great, the food was delicious and service was great. Danielle actually made me a up a plate of appetizers to make sure I ate sometime at my reception. Savory Gourmet provided catering for my 09/27/2014 wedding. In reviewing caterers, I found Savory Gourmet offered the most competitive rates and the best tasting food. Danielle was very flexible with her menu options and incorporated requests for some of our favorites that were not on standard menu offerings. Her waitstaff was professional and the catering service went off without a hitch for the wedding day. We had a pleasure to work with Danielle and her team from Savory Gourmet Catering for our wedding in Maryland. We immediately fell in love with her and her style towards wedding catering – she showed exuberance of positivity, confidence, and personalization that we were looking for such a huge role for our special day. She was willing to work with our budget and was still able to execute an elegant wedding reception that we were looking for. This was mostly because of her willingness to go over and beyond her responsibilities, for example, by providing input for our centerpiece ideas and came up with a much better idea than we originally had. The actual table setup looked even better than what we anticipated. She and her crew adjusted well to the contingency plan for the rain (which we didn’t really discuss since this was one day in mid-September that actually rained in the morning), but she was prepared for this adjustment. We also saw while we were making our rounds that many of our guests have ate everything on their plates. Her staff was also extremely professional and friendly. Many of them even stopped by our sweetheart table on their way back from serving the dishes to say congrats. (By the way, we didn’t even discuss the decorations for the sweetheart table, but she surprised us with a very elegant one matching our theme!) They also pulled off a wonderful dessert buffet with the wedding cake and the cookies we supplied. I would also highly recommend going with the cake vendor she works with (Classic Bakery); many of the guests raved about the cake. Overall, we were extremely happy with her and her team’s service! Our only wish is that we could’ve eaten more of her food – we had time to eat the strawberry salad (which was delicious), but were only able to nibble on the main entrée.

From the outset, Danielle was approachable, responsive, flexible, and thoroughly professional, and she didn't bat an eyelid when our plans changed time and time again. She was clear and upfront about costs, and flexible when it came to developing menus that worked for our budget.

On the day, she was calm, efficient, and sensationally well prepared. She - and her team - got into the spirit of the wedding, celebrating with us, and helping everything run smoothly and joyfully. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, and her team were friendly, hard-working, and incredibly efficient.

Top notch service, staff, and food. My husband and I married on August 22, 2014 and we had the pleasure of working with Savory Gourmet. From the moment we connected with Danielle (Catering Director) we fell in love with her warm personality, attention to detail, and her desire to make each client’s interaction an awesome experience. After exchanging a few emails and discussing our vision via phone we setup a tasting. I can’t express how much we enjoyed our meeting, the laughs (as she is such a light hearted and caring person), and the DELICIOUS food. Post the tasting we exchanged numerous emails with Danielle as our wedding plans evolved and each time she responded promptly. No matter how many times we called or emailed Danielle she made us feel secure that our catering vision would come to fruition.

Fast forward to our wedding day and I must say that all the bells, whistles, and any other “plus” that you can imagine was extended to my husband and I. The Savory Gourmet staff was absolutely PERFECT! Each staff member was attentive, friendly, and engaging (special THANKS to the bartender….he was absolutely delightful). The food was displayed beautifully and our guests raved about the presentation and the delightful taste. Too often at weddings the food “looks” nice but the taste doesn’t match. Fortunately, Savory Gourmet made my guests believers that wedding food can look good, TASTE SUPERB, and smell so fabulous that you dream about it for days after :)

I can't begin to express how awesome Danielle and her team at Savory Gourmet were for my daughter's Sweet Sixteen Soiree. It was a masquerade themed event and Danielle's team transformed the venue into something beautiful. Her attentiveness to detail is key. Her approach to clients is warm, comforting, and accommodating. She understands the stress involved with trying to plan an event and really helps to make it seamless. I can't say enough wonderful things about Savoury Gourmet. If you are looking for a caterer for your event then don't waste your time looking any further. The food tastes amazing and is very unique. I had first heard about Savory Gourmet Catering from another caterer who recommended them for my wedding. I sent them an email and was promptly responded to by Danielle who not only sent me several documents about the services they provided but also asked me questions about my wedding so she could get a better idea of what I would need. Danielle had setup a tasting with me and my fiancee, needless to say the food was delicious! Something that set this tasting apart from so many others I had before was that Danielle took the time to not only cook delicious food but she also created a very nice and pleasant atmosphere, it felt like we were having a 3 course meal at a restaurant and not just having a tasting.

My fiancee and I were on a strict budget for catering, Danielle was very accommodating to that and worked with us so that we were able to meet all our needs for our reception while not going over our budget. Throughout the entire planning process Danielle answered every single question my fiancee and I had as well as accommodated last minute changes that came up close to the wedding day.

On our wedding day Danielle and her team were at the venue as scheduled and went to work immediately doing the setup. The tables and chairs were set up pretty quickly. During the reception the buffet tasted great! Danielle's team was very professional and courteous to all my guests.

Something to note, the venue where my reception was had very strict rules and regulations and we were given a very narrow timeframe to setup and clean up, Danielle and her team still excelled in these conditions and met every expectation the venue set for them.

Savory Gourmet was a pleasure to work with and helped make my wedding day special and memorable, I would highly recommend them to anyone!

This is the second time we have used Savory Gourmet and both events were flawless. We received so many compliments from our friends and family on both the delicious food and excellent service. Danielle is delightful to work with, and in this case, she put together a wonderful luncheon for 75 with three days notice. Danielle was an absolutely wonderful caterer to work with for our wedding. She has a warm, caring, and upbeat personality that will put any bride at ease. She is patient and thorough when going through the plans for the wedding. Her extensive experience and prompt communication gave me (the bride) confidence and I never had to stress about the catering. She thought of small details that made a big difference, such as napkins that match the wedding color. She understood food sensitivities and was more than happy to design a gluten-free menu. When the day finally arrived, Danielle and her team were at the venue early before I even got there. They were dressed professionally in their uniforms and happy to share in the excitement of the special day. I thought I would have more time to check out how the preparations were going, but I never had a chance and Danielle orchestrated everything flawlessly. The tables were set up elegantly and the appetizers and beverages were beautifully displayed for guests to enjoy. When dinnertime arrived, the food was bountiful and delicious. I was so impressed with how gourmet and yummy the food tasted even though it had been made in such large quantities. Guests loved how the food tasted and complimented how professional the staff was. Danielle looked out for me the entire evening, even getting one of her girls to fix the bustle on my dress. Our entire experience with Danielle was a positive one. She worked within our budget and then worked hard to go above and beyond our expectations. She is a generous, trustworthy professional who puts her heart into helping make wedding dreams come true!

Danielle is a most professional young woman; she regards her job as a privilege and takes very seriously the trust her clients place not only in the quality and preserntation of her food (both of which are excellent), but in her staff and their professionalism as well (our staff was superb and clearly enjoyed working together). She is high energy and is most attentive and responsive to the thoughts, questions, wishes and ideas of her clients. It was a delight working with her.

Danielle and her team are great! Everyone raved about the food and even as late as four days after the event, I am still getting compliments on the food quality and taste how quickly I was able to pull it together on such notice. I am pleased with everything and Savory Gourmet has not heard the last from me.

To answer the next question, yes and I already have. I suspect you'll hear from them in the spring/summer 2014.

Danielle and her staff were wonderful to work with. We changed plans on her at least 3 times and she was very gracious with us and worked with us. She came earlier to set up around our schedule, and her staff left the office as they found it.
The food was wonderful, the bartender was friendly and our happy hour was a success. We will be using her again next time we throw and event. I highly recommend Savory Gourmet for any event you are planning.

Danielle and her team are amazing. I had a last minute event book at our new hotel by a corporate client that was looking to impress their clients. Well Savory Gourmet pulled it off and our clients were thrilled. The evening was a success. The food and set up was really nice. Upscale yet very affordable and delicious. Can't wait for the next event.

There isn't enough time in the world for me to sing Danielle's praises, but I can try. First, her food is delicious. Otherwordly delicious. My fiance's family are really picky eaters but the day of the wedding it was clean plates EVERYWHERE. That's a good sign!

Danielle also worked endlessly with us to ensure that our wedding went the way we wanted. She brought extra decorations, she helped with the bouquet, she really went the extra mile, so much so that we felt she was part of the family and we had to drag her onto the dance floor to party for a bit during the wedding too! She brings the A game every time.

Choosing Danielle was probably the best thing we did for our wedding.

The Savory Gourmet Catering Service was excellent. Danielle and her assistant worked very hard to make our special day amazing. Prior to the wedding and, during a weekday evening, Danielle drove to our home to provide us with a delicious and very generous tasting of her delicious dishes on offer. The day of the wedding, they arrived early to begin setting up the reception dinning area. The delicious food was plentiful, beautiful and very timely. Danielle was a great planner also, and was able to maximize our space to make the most of our reception. Danielle and her assistant also went out of their way to help all of our guests feel very special. It would be impossible for me to say enough good things about the Savory Gourmet. We are very grateful.

I met Danielle of Savory Gourmet at Woodlawn Manor's Open House. I loved her samples and attitude immediately. She offered to have a food tasting at my home so my family and I could sample and finalize our menu selection. Once I described the event, she was able to customize her menu to meet our desire to share some cultural flavors with our guests. She has a great palate and knows how to combine dishes. Her cost was comparable to other businesses I contacted. Danielle was professional and provided top-rate service and paid attention to details.

Danielle is such a wonderful person to work with. I plan many personal and professional events. I interact with many vendors – and she is definitely on top of my list! She was easy to communicate with and was responsive to all my questions during the entire process. Planning events can be stressful - she certainly helped make the planning a pleasant experience.

My family and friends shared wonderful comments about the food. One of my friends loved her so much that she used her services for one of her professional events. I am extremely thankful to have met Danielle and hope to use her services again for future events. I highly recommend Savory Gourmet to anyone looking for a caterer to make their special day or event, a memorable one.

I contacted Danielle, the owner of Savory Gourmet in the beginning of August for an engagement party that was just two weeks away. I told her my budget, what kind of food I liked, and what kind of food I definitely did not want to see. She came up with a custom menu for me by the next business day. After, I told told her some of the revisions I wanted to make on the menu, she sent over an updated version and information on how to finalize the contract, again within one business day. I even called Danielle to see if I could add to my menu after I had already finalized the selections and she was available to talk through my needs, accommodate me, and keep it under my budget. One the day of the event, Danielle and her staff were pleasant and professional. They set up the buffet with elegance and explained to me where food was placed and where the extra helpings would be. All of the food was delicious. I will be using this catering company again!

Danielle, at Savory Gourmet, was absolutely amazing in helping us at the last minute for the rehearsal dinner for our son and his bride! After our original catorer bailed less than three weeks before our event, we turned to her in desperation for help with an affair for 60. She went above and beyond in service; helping us find a suitable venue and offering us an exceptional menu. If you're seeking an amazing boutique experience from a creative and friendly Chef, definitely choose Savory Gourmet! Chef Danielle is AWESOME! Planning a major VIP reception to be held at an Ambassador's home isn't an easy task. Concerns of security, privacy and the highest level of diplomacy must be considered. With very little coaching she worked within this political framework and managed to dazzle my distinguished guests from various industries including other ambassadors, congresswomen, state officials, investors/private sector, and ministry representatives from the international community. I've planned many personal events myself and have worked with vendors in the past but was absolutely pleased with the Chef's ability to create an artistic ambiance in a diplomatic environment. Her creative spell filled the air and was packaged with cultural accents while remaining elegant and intimate. Beyond the presentation the great food, excellent service and professionalism of the staff was commendable. As a scientist by day and a humanitarian community organizer by night, I am making her my exclusive cater for all of my events and have shared her with my professional circle. My Ambassador loved the event and the Embassy team well, they will likely steal her from me:) Great experience and strongly recommend her services. 'Très bien Chef!

I met Danielle of Savory Gourmet at a venue open house. I loved the dessert samples that she had so I knew the food would be good. I met Danielle of Savory Gourmet Catering early on in our wedding planning process when the only decision we had made was where we were going to have the wedding, and I am so grateful that I did! Danielle put together a wonderful tasting menu for my husband and I and we knew immediately that we wanted her to cater our wedding. My husband and I got married at a private residence and needed to virtually create a wedding venue. This would not have been possible without Danielle getting us in touch with our terrific vendors and taking the time to talk (and walk) through my "vision." Danielle was extremely attentive and proactive in the months leading up to our wedding and I knew we were in good hands.

As for the wedding itself, the food and service were exactly as I had envisioned it and even beyond my expectations. She listened to my husband and I and was able to prepare delicious food that we wanted, while still making it her own. We requested comfort food and Danielle delivered with terrific appetizers during cocktail hour (sliders, mac and cheese, chicken and waffles - to name a few) and an easy access buffet during the reception. The two biggest hits at our wedding were both Danielle's idea, a smore's bar and an iced coffee bar - they were phenomenal! I have had numerous guests tell me how much fun they had at our wedding and I feel it is because Danielle really set the tone with her fun food ideas. She prepared so many great desserts and sweets that we did not even have a wedding cake, and trust me, no one missed it! Her service was phenomenal the day of and all of her wait staff were extremely attentive and worked incredibly hard. I can't say enough positive things about Savory Gourmet Catering, and Danielle, and would absolutely recommend them to friends, family and anyone planning an event!

Danielle Rozier and her team are angels! They are proactive, efficient, cost-effective, accomodating, VERY well organized, and the food was amazing. We hosted a crab feast themed the "Taste of Maryland" with most of the attendees being from out-of-town, for a non-profit organization, so we had to be extremely cost-effective to be fair for our sponsors.

We independently did market research before deciding to go with an event planner. We compared the pricing for party rental items (tent, tables, chairs, linen, etc), wait staff, licensed bartenders, transportation services, and catering services. Danielle's pricing beat all of our market prices for every aspect so we signed a contract with her immediately.

Once she took over the event, I was literally able to back off completely and let her handle everything (which, if you know me, is not an easy task for me.) She quickly gained my confidence and handled everything from A to Z with a smile on her face the entire time. She came with us on all of the site visits and helped us improve our vision of the event. I would strongly recommend Danielle and her team for any event and will definitely use her again for my future events.

Danielle is amazing! We met with her at her store front in Gaithersburg, MD for our tasting. It was well worth it. The food was delicious and Danielle's personality and 'bed-side manner' really helped to make the experience even more enjoyable. She was very open and discussed opportunities to make our menu work for us. She was also priced well. By mid-meal, we knew we were going to choose her! Leading up to the wedding, she outsourced us to Select Events to pick out linens and china for dinner. Although Select totally mixed up our order, requiring us to return to their warehouse and re-select our linens and china, Danielle worked with us and our planner throughout which helped us not to stress out. We felt like we were in good hands despite the mix-up. The guests enjoyed the food, we had the crab cakes, chicken and waffle bites, and pork tacos for cocktail hour, and salmon and chicken for dinner with two sides. Danielle also helped us to find a perfect Rose' for our champagne toast that would compliment the dinner. Also, she was very, very flexible, which was helpful. From the very first phone call made while I was sourcing caterers, Danielle's warmth and personality set her apart from other caterers. I got married at Gambrills State Park Tea Room up in Frederick Maryland on October 5th of this year. Savory Gourmet was amazing! Not only did Danielle and her staff rock out the food and helping bring my decor ideas to fruition when I was off site getting ready. She also kept my fiance from freaking out! Lol. Danielle is great! She really took care of me and my family, especially my dad who really needed coffee!

Savory Gourmet was an excellent vendor for our wedding. Danielle and her staff were amazing. She put my mind at ease during our walk through at the venue. Danielle and her Savory Gourmet team provide outstanding service. The food she provided for our wedding was amazing. At least 20 guests made it a point to tell us how delicious and well presented the food was. Many also expressed how much they liked Danielle and her staff as people .

Savory Gourmet not only provided food, but also took care of the flowers and decor. Everything was beautiful and reasonably priced. Guests were quite impressed with its quiet elegance.

And, man is she patient. I hate to think of how many emails and calls we exchanged because I was a very anxious bride. She was a calming influence and ensured that everything went as planned. I was able to just relax and have a fabulous time dancing and enjoying friends and family.

I highly recommend Savory Gourmet for catering and decor at any of your events.

Danielle and Savory Gourmet Catering were FABULOUS! If you consider yourself a foodie, you owe it to yourself and your guests to give her a call.

We got married at Woodlawn Manor in April and had 100 guests. With only a 4 month engagement, time was of the essence when making catering arrangements. I knew we wanted to do a cocktail-style, heavy hors d'oeuvres meal. We did tastings with 3 caterers (2 smaller boutique caterers and one larger outfit). Danielle was impressive out of the gate.

Danielle and I had a great conversation about my ideas for our wedding before our tasting. What she presented reflected what we'd discussed and added some of her own personal touches that made the meal even better. Her palate is impeccable! For our tasting, she presented 10 courses - all delicious and most of which we included on our final menu. She also went the extra mile by coming up with a beautiful tablescape that coordinated with our color scheme. It showed an attention to detail and a genuine excitement about weddings that I didn't get from the other caterers we met with. I'm so glad we chose to work with her!

In the end, we settled on 12 heavy appetizers - from lobster rolls, crab cakes, and oyster shooters to sirloin skewers, mini chicken and waffles, and carrot ginger soup (plus mini peach cobblers and homemade raspberry sweet tea!) - all within our budget. Several people said it was the best food that they'd ever had at a wedding. My sentiments exactly!

She made our day so memorable and yummy. Highly recommend!!

We got married in June 2014 and had about 90 guests and throughout our wedding planning Danielle was always friendly, responsive and full of ideas and alternatives. Everyone in my family and who interacted with her remarked on her warmth and professionalism. The food and the presentation of it were amazing -- we couldn't have asked for more. Danielle and her team were very flexible as we went back and forth on whether to have to wedding outdoors or not b/c of intermittent thunderstorms on our wedding day. She was patient and helpful with the groom's two young sons in ways that went far beyond her catering duties. We're so glad we chose Savory Gourmet for our wedding and couldn't recommend her more highly!

The food and costumer service provided was exceptional. Danielle has a way of making you feel at ease from the very beginning. And, the use of local foods was a huge plus for us!!!

Savory Gourmet provides delicious food and a variety of wonderful menu options. Danielle is an excellent chef, however the company lacks professionalism and refused to comply with the specific requirements of my venue. Her lack of compliance and her "not my responsibility" approach with paying a refundable $250 catering security deposit almost compelled the venue to cancel my wedding 48 hours before it was to held. Please use caution with this vendor.

Savory Gourmet Catering & Events and Danielle started out great. Our initial phone call and emails were lovely. We had a wonderful tasting with her and were so eager to work with her for our wedding. But that didn’t last long. Honestly, I do believe that Danielle is a great chef and probably does a great job when she doesn’t have to take responsibility for the manual labor. Her attitude and responsiveness was something that lacked greatly. My husband I both agreed that we spent entirely too much money and we should send her an invoice to receive some of our money back due to her service not meeting our expectations.
