Claire brought sunshine and warmth to our wedding day
To be honest, I was overtaken with emotion seeing my soulmate eager to commit to a lifetime with me, and I ugly-cried during the entire ceremony. Despite my tears, Claire managed to keep the vibe light and warm with her exceptional delivery.
Neither my husband nor I had any clue what we wanted in a ceremony, and she put forward suggestions that felt tailor-made for our personalities and relationship story. Her ability to balance emotion with humor made our wedding ceremony truly special. She even made sure to include my stepson! She was incredibly professional and flexible when we threw last-minute changes at her (he decided he didn't want to read 15 minutes before the ceremony).
If you are getting married in Maine and you do not choose to have Savoir Claire officiate your ceremony, you are doing it wrong! I suggest booking right away. -

It was an absolute delight to work with Claire! In addition to being easy to communicate with, she just exudes enthusiasm and genuine support. The ceremony was beautifully written and fit our setting perfectly. She encouraged feedback, but her first draft was so perfect we left it nearly untouched. You will not find an officiant who cares more about their couples than Claire!Savoir Claire's reply:

I can't put into words how WONDERFUL our 40th renewal ceremony was; thanks to Claire! She is the BEST! We would recommend her to anyone for any event! From the very beginning, she makes you feel so comfortable! She is truly a professional, yet feels like we will now be life long friends! We seriously can't imagine it with someone else. Love her and how she listened! We were going to do our own vows, but her suggestions were better! It was AMAZING how she seemed to just "know" us! She is sweet (and funny) and delivered PERFECTION+ for this very special occasion!

We love Claire!!
We have had the absolute honor of working with Claire several times and we absolutely adore her! She is so fantastic to work with and I know her couples are always thrilled. From start to finish, Claire gives her couples the ceremony of their dreams. We have loved witnessing the joy, dedication, and authenticity that Claire brings to each wedding and elopement. I was greeted by Cassidy my first time officiating at Captain Nickels Inn & have been smitten with her, Dawn and the Inn ever since. It's a spectacular mansion that I swear resembles a wedding cake. Set right on the coast, in the charming village of Searsport, Maine, there's plenty to do and fantastic photo ops all around. The Inn attracts the most interesting couples and it's always a treat to officiate there! Thank you, Cassidy - you & Dawn always bring out my "wedding enthusiasm!" -

Claire officiated our wedding in October 2022. Her uplifting spirit is what captivated my husband and I from the start! She was timely, organized, thoughtful and open-minded to our preferences. We loved the energetic and heartfelt messages that she conveyed on our wedding day; Claire most definitely helped put together our ideal ceremony!Savoir Claire's reply:
Some time before the wedding this couple sent me a photo of themselves on vacation with a note that they were taking time off, resting up for the big day. It was a great selfie, they were relaxed, happy and so completely in love. Later that year, at the altar, the selfie came to life as these two recited heartfelt vows, exchanged beautiful rings and let their guests read blessings as part of their ceremony. It was a glorious wedding at Bear Mountain Inn - the photos in that setting are masterpieces. Thank you so much for including me is such a beautiful, memorable and wonderful day! -

My husband and I got married September 24th and Claire was our officiant. It’s safe to say Claire was one of our easiest decisions as a couple to make for our special day. When we first met with Claire it was just natural. She was friendly, compassionate, and a blast to work with throughout our life whole experience. Still to date our guests rave about how wonderful our ceremony went with Claire by our side! We would recommend her to anyone looking for a fun, upbeat, personable officiant. Alison and Jake are the most genuine couple I've ever met. There's an absence of ego, agenda, or judgement about them. They exude a comfort with each other and a genuine interest in the people and the world around them. They were easy to work with, fun to drink with, and a blessing to now call friends. We first met Claire through The Knot. There was something about her profile that really spoke to me, and she was funny. Dale and I Zoomed with her; we all hit it off and created a plan. A plan that we changed about three weeks before (and note that none of this was long-ago planned....likely less than two months from meeting Claire to getting married! We shifted the location and hoped Claire could shift the time up just a titch. Which she was so flexible in doing. When we hugged her when she walked it, it felt like she was family. She was heaven sent to marry us! The sunset, the harvest moon all contributed to just a beautiful ceremony on the ocean at Old Orchard Beach. And Claire beamed through it all, just as Dale and I are still beaming today. She promises to see how we are doing up ahead; I believe her. We cannot wait to share our comings and goings with her. Two things stood out when Ellen & Dale inquired about my officiating in Machiasport: 1) I'd never been to Machiasport 2) it was the 2nd request for Machiasport I'd received in a week! It would be impossible to schedule this year and impossible to quote a rate for someplace that far away, but something told me to meet Ellen anyway. Now I know why. We were absolutely destined to meet and become friends. Her middle name is Claire! As their officiant, I was delighted that "What works for you, Claire?" was their repeated question to me. We ended up marrying on a glorious spot on Old Orchard Beach. What started out as a very private elopement, became a wonderful night of family, friends and lobster rolls, all right at the rise of the Harvest Moon. It was one of the most thrilling and meaningful elopements I've ever done. The love between Ellen and Dale made that so. Thank you SO much for choosing me & I'll see you all soon!!! -

Absolutely amazing!

We simply cannot recommend Claire enough. She was always responsive, listened to us, asked us great questions, and kept us on track to make sure everything was ready to go exactly how we wanted it on the day of our wedding. She helped us create a ceremony that felt like it was truly us, and we couldn't be happier with the way it turned out. During the ceremony, Claire is a pro at balancing humor and lightheartedness with the reverence and importance of the occasion. She helped us feel at ease and created a great rapport with our guests--we had friends and family who told us it was the best ceremony they'd seen and wanted Claire to stay and party with them at the reception. Katie should be a wedding planner. She put ALL THE VENDORS at ease with her calm & thorough attention to detail. Katie & John knew the value of our connection and were incredibly fun and generous with their ideas & responses to my questions. It made a difference. I'm sure our comfort at the altar was palatable to their guests. We all had such a great time. Honorable mention to the most splendid apple tree altar I have ever seen! Claire is an amazing person and an amazing officiant.
She brings such happiness and positive energy to every interaction you have with her.
Claire is timely in responding to calls, emails and texts when you have questions or need to communicate.
We wanted a very simple, private wedding ceremony and Claire delivered perfectly to our expectations.
She helped us word or vows and presented perfect ideas for readings at our ceremony.
She truly adapts to each couples unique style and needs for their wedding.
I could not have asked for a better wedding Officiant.

Absolutely Incredible. Savior Claire is a literal Angel!
My husband and I could not have had a more perfect officiant for our wedding. Claire is truly a beam of shining light. Her genuine personality captured the attention of all our friends and family who attended our wedding.
I have been a wedding photographer for 7+ years, so needless to say I have been to A LOT of weddings. I first met Claire in 2018 when she officiated a wedding I was photographing for. From that day forward, i knew whenever it was my time to get married, she would be the one that I called. Jump to 2020 and I got engaged and calling her was the top of my to-do list.
Claire is everything you want a person to be: loving, caring, passionate, patient, empathetic… the list goes on and on. One thing I love most about Claire is that she brings a certain kind of calmness to the room. She makes everyone feel at ease and also makes everyone feel endless love and joy,
I HIGHLY recommend Savior Claire to be your wedding officiant. -

Claire is simply the best!
My soon to be wife tasked me with finding an officiant for our wedding. Being a typical gentleman, I procrastinated until September for our November wedding. I came across Claire’s profile on wedding wire and was immediately impressed with her excellent feedback, I reached out. Claire was the first vendor to respond and we exchanged emails a few times that day. We were blessed that Claire had our date open and immediately put our minds (my wife’s mind) at ease. We had a few meet and greets prior to the wedding, each meeting felt like a long lost friend who truly cared about our special day sharing laughs and stories. Fast forward to wedding day, Claire was able to keep 7 groomsmen tame for about an hour and 45 minutes as hair and make up took a little longer than excepted. Due to our later start time for the ceremony, Claire did a fantastic job ad libbing in front of 160 of our attendants to put everyone’s mind at ease that the bride was in fact still coming. We could not envision our wedding without Claire and will be forever grateful! We now consider Claire a friend and would highly recommend her to anyone in need of a caring and professional officiant.

Meet Portland's newest Power Couple! WOW was all I could say when I first met these two. Sharp, funny, intelligent, imaginative and so perfectly matched - it was MY pleasure to officiate this wedding! Yes, cracking wise with a roomful of tuxedoed groomsmen was difficult but they survived.. (LOL) Saint Mary's Episcopal Church in Falmouth is a hidden gem. Note: while taking photos on the lawn, a police car screeched into the driveway with lights and sirens blaring, came to a stop at the couple and announced "Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Walsh" blew the siren again and drove away. So funny! Yes, Alicia and AJ are now my friends and I hope to see them very soon! -

Claire was absolutely amazing! She is so friendly, lively, and funny. Claire was able to create a beautiful and unique ceremony for us on our special day. She made the process easy by having great resources and options to choose from, by giving us deadlines on the parts we wanted to make our own, by checking in with us to make sure everything was as it should be, and by helping us individually with our vows. She always had the best ideas! On the day of the event she brought her amazing personality and made everyone feel like she was a long time friend of the family. What a fun couple! What a fun wedding! These two added so many unexpected elements to their ceremony that their wonderful guests didn't know what would happen next! Meticulous backyard venue, personalized vows, their son reading, and a delightful recreation of the childhood chore of stacking wood. Yes I said stacking wood! Absolutely Amazing!
We saw Claire officiate our friends' wedding in 2018 and instantly knew that we had to hire her! It was the best wedding ceremony we had ever attended, and our ceremony was no different. From start to finish, Claire was wonderful, transparent and communicative throughout the entire process. She is a kind person who truly cares about her couples and does everything in her power to make your day special. She worked hard to help us build a thoughtful ceremony, and we received many compliments from our guests. Claire stuck with us for 2+ years through the pandemic, a change of venue and a change of date. She also has a wonderful sense of humor that really helped keep things light through all of the ups and downs of pandemic wedding planning. We highly recommend Claire to any couple looking for an amazing ceremony!Savoir Claire's reply:
They're unflappable. Venue closed. Date unavailable. New state. Pandemic. Another year delay. But Alli and Mark were cool and charming throughout it all. They were so clear about what they wanted, it didn't matter where or when it happened. I was happy to hang on for the ride! Note: Have to remember as the wedding began, an entire row of guest got up and left upon realizing they were at the wrong wedding, LOL. That one's going in my book! I waited until the very last second almost to hire an officiant for our wedding (big no no) Claire didn't make me feel bad about that, she knew how much having a professional officiant was to me for our wedding and wanted to help. She was flexible, and so optimistic. She literally saved our day! Our ceremony was not cookie cutter, she read beautiful poems, and readings, and gave us the most perfect modern intimate ceremony.
